For today’s 3:30 am Honkai rewrite pitch: the Honkai
It’s just an energy created by the friction between the imaginary tree and the sea of quanta
It’s not exactly sentient, but it collect memories from everyone who is infected by it and store them in the cocoon of finality
Because the people who are infected by the Honkai tend to be those who can’t avoid contaminated area (ex: poor areas like sundown alley, or any area where their was an unexpected eruption) or people who were intentionally experimented on, and the infection itself tends to make the victim pretty ill, a lot of the memories in the cocoon of finality are pretty awful
Any sentient being who’s infected by the Honkai gets their brain connected to the cocoon of finality as sort of a collective consciousness
It’s sorta alive but not (like the Promare)
Part of the reason Honkai infected tend to be violent is cuz their brains are hooked up to billions of other people’s traumatic memories, causing them to lash out in fear
Instead of having a complete brain override, Herrschers are more like the host’s original personality+ the collective consciousness, but there is some variation
Early Herrschers are less influenced by the cocoon given that their just aren’t any memories in it yet (hence why Elysia and Joyce more or less got to be their own people)
Later Herrschers can overcome the cocoons influence if they have some sort of strong attachment keeping them grounded
Herrschers that are isolated for too long may completely loose the hosts personality and become just an extra powerful Honkai beast
In the PE, the cocoon of finality existed inside a person (Kalpas) like any other Honkai core, but Mobius removed it and Dr. MEI sealed it inside Prometheus in hopes it would end the Herrscher cycle and stop finality from appearing spoiler: it didn’t work
Idk man, I’m just trying to recenter the power system so love genuinely is the answer to saving everyone

Kizuna Countdown #11
11.) Favorite Chosen Children Friendship
How fun is this!
Taichi and Koushiro
Tumblr media
I!  Love!  Ya!  Bois!
Okay, so all of the Chosen are important, but Taichi and Koushiro carry extra burdens.  Taichi is the leader, and he feels responsible for the safety of his team and the success of their missions.  Koushiro, uh, functionally borders on being God in the Digital World.  Without his expertise...  Well, would we even have a show (there’s a very real reason he’s basically on the 02 team, as well)?
That’s a lot of pressure on both of these kiddos (if you’re interested in this topic, I explore it in After August).  That shared pressure, I think, plays a role in how much these two lean on and confide in each other.  It’s sort of like...  Taichi is the vehicle that pulls everyone forward together, and Koushiro maps the course.
Taichi openly praises Koushiro’s skills and asks for his help.  Over the course of the series, Taichi’s positive, supportive attitude towards Koushiro begins to chip away at Koushiro’s low self-esteem.  Koushiro begins to trust his skills and anticipate problems and solutions for the team.  And, slowly, Koushiro becomes more friendly with the others.  By 02, Koushiro is confident enough to become The Guy in the Chair for the fresh batch of Chosen, representing the older generation and their shared knowledge.
Obviously, Koushiro’s technical support is a necessity to the whole team, but this is especially true for Taichi, as the leader.  But we all know Koushiro is more than the world’s finest IT department.  Taichi leans on and confides in Koushiro, and though Taichi has shown vulnerability in front of the team before (ie, crying when he fails to rescue Sora), Koushiro is the one who manages to reach level 4 and unlock his backstory, lol!
I dunno, I just love how we see these two doing so much good for one another.
Sora and Mimi
Tumblr media
I!  Also love!  Dem gals!
You know...  Is there another pair of so clearly complementary personalities in the Adventure universe?
Mimi is... frankly, a little spoiled, and sometimes fails to see how her actions are inconveniencing others.  But the older I grow, the more I appreciate that she was not socialized to defer to others and always put herself last.  Mimi goes after what she wants, and you know what?  THAT’S SO, SO GOOD, and frankly, really progressive!
Forgive me for getting a little real here, but...  I’m a woman in my early 30s.  I’ve only just started learning how to truly enforce boundaries, speak up for what I want and need, not accept undue responsibility for other people’s emotions, and stop apologizing all the time.  This isn’t because there’s something wrong with me.  This is because I, like so many other girls, was taught from birth to serve and care for others, to put myself last at all times, to never “fuss” (even for something I need), to be seen and not heard, etc.
Mimi isn’t weighed down by any of that nonsense, and her power and happiness radiates.  In contrast, Sora carries more expectations than she can begin to deal with, from caring for others to inheriting her family’s ikebana practice.  Sora projects an image to give herself the sense of escaping expectations.  Mimi lives totally outside of expectations.  Sora cares for and comforts Mimi, while showing by example how to think about other people out of genuine love.  Mimi brightens Sora’s mood and shows her that it’s okay to be herself, to do what she wants, and to put herself first.
I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING.  I’m so glad this friendship exists in children’s media.

Episode 144
Honorable mentions:
Elaine bowing to Remi is a whole mood.
I like that Isen’s trying to help the high-tiers take down Joker, but I sure as hell hope he doesn’t help them figure out who it is.
Why does the art just continue to get more and more amazing does uru-chan have no limits?
Poor Holden was just wanted friendship from Arlo since the beginning.
That picture of Arlo cracking his knuckles was big d energy, like guys, that’s alpha behavior right there. (sorry for this one)
Seeing arlo laying down on that roof looked so off to me. Like no that’s not arlo what is happening?
That picture with Cecile, Seraphina, Remi, and John was so hyyypppe.
Arlo sounds like Claire in this episode and, as a lot of you know, I love parallels.
When Arlo apologized, not gonna lie, some part of me died.
I’m genuinely going to be upset if Arlo and John don’t find some common ground after this. I hate wastes of scenes and the potential.
Loved the theory potential with this episode omg i’m geeking out
John’s ability:
An important discovery was made by the superhero posse ft. Juni this episode. A game-changing discovery.
John can’t copy abilities he can’t see!
I am speechless, I am so impressed that uru-chan managed to add on even more detail to his power. Like yes. Now we know he’s got some sort of handicap (?) or at least a minor setback. It’s a chance for the high-tiers and gives them, gives us, the readers, hope. For them, a fair fight, for us the most epic climax we’ve ever seen (maybe, depends on how John reacts to Arlo [that’s later]).
But as cool as that is and as impressive that it was that Isen was able to figure this out, it leaves some holes. Actually… not holes… questions.
Question 1: He copied Isen’s ability before?
Does this mean that Hunter is a visual ability?
John was able to copy not only Isen’s fighting skills like the target thing and whatnot (episode 126), but in episode 128, he’s shown using Isen’s ability to find people by like x-ray vision walls. So that either means:
Plot hole, mistake, or it was written before uru-chan decided to add on more details of John’s power (unlikely because of how it explains much about Claire.
Or: That ability was technically physical and had visual feedback. (likely)
It’s pretty similar to the healing abilities John used (Tanner and Elaine’s), but those are more visual than Isen’s so they’re not as critical.
Question 2: Where does the line between physical and abstract lie?
This is pretty similar to the last one. I’m just asking what exactly makes something “non-physical and have visual feedback?”
Like above, it’s pretty confusing to differ between the two.
I don’t really have any details for this just where does one become the other? I need more details to this.
Question 3: John’s dormant ability?
John’s dormant ability is ability-detection. He can sense when someone is using their ability
He used this against the invisible guy in episode 10 and was confused when he couldn’t detect Arlo’s in episode 72, where John said, “Arlo’s barrier is activated. But why can’t I sense it at all.” (I’m using this as confirmation that John’s dormant ability is canon)
I just want to know how this corresponds to the whole “can only copy what he can see”
What are the boundaries between ‘I know this person is using an ability’ and ‘i can tell what ability it is’?
This development on John’s power is pretty confusing. At first I was thinking that maybe Isen was a bit off. Maybe he could only use ability that he knew how they worked, but that is questioned by the limits of John’s dormant ability and is completely debunked by the whole Claire situation a while ago, though John’s ability could have totally grown between now and then (or not, he was dormant for a long time, I’m not really sure how that works).
I’m just hoping (it’s really likely) that Isen’s new theory about John’s power will get explored more in the future and we’ll get more details regarding it and any past events in the comic that somehow contradict or confuse the picture being painted for us now by uru-chan.
Something real nice that Isen’s theory aided us with was clearing Claire’s ability and the potential plot holes her and John’s story held, which is actually the main reason why I don’t think Isen is wrong. John can’t use abstract abilities like the ‘flash forward’ Juni has, which is very similar (and probably a reflection of) Claire’s ability (likely the most important reason for uru-chan giving her such an ability). Isen’s theory gives a logical solution to why John never did or was never able to use Claire’s ability.
We’ll see where this inference leads us in the future, but I know I’m excited to see where it takes us.
MOVING ON
Arlo’s character development:
    Everyone’s absolutely raving over this.
First off, I’d like to point out that it’s possible we’re back on track for the students to think Arlo is Joker. Yeah… not really… :( (I have hope that’s all i’m gonna say).
    But like… this episode.
Arlo just retook the spot for my favorite character again, stealing it from Cecile, who’s reign was short, but mighty. What can I say, the King’s gotta take his throne (Arlo will always be king in my mind).
But like goddamn Arlo really was so interesting and captivating to read. Idk. slkefkuhfj.
I’m going to try to go in order.
As much as it pains me to say this for Arlo’s sake, I would really love to see the students completely lose faith in Arlo like Holden predicted. I wanna see Arlo get broken. I want to see his core, I want to see him watch as everything he worked for after Rei left burns to the ground around him. I want to see the defeat on his face when after all his efforts and years of fighting to put everything in order, all of it is undone because he wasn’t careful enough with the one person who has the capability to do it. I want to watch Arlo suffer as his one mistake destroys everything he’s ever worked for and everyone he’s tried to keep safe and under control abandons him.
    Too far? Too far.
But seriously though, do you know how powerful it would be to have the only mistake he ever made be one that completely ruins his life and damages his efforts beyond repair?
    Oilhrkjkjsbhjhsb
…. Moving on
In this episode, Arlo just seems so lonely to me. When he walked away from Holden, when he was lying on the roof alone. I feel that those moments were deliberately put in to really sell the idea that Arlo really only has himself to rely on. He’s always been the most powerful, has always been distanced from everyone else because of what that power expected in return, because of his duty to lead. Now that’s he’s not on top, nothing has changed. He’s still the most powerful against Joker. He’s still is the king. He’s still the person that everyone looks up too, but who can Arlo look up too. The one person that Arlo was shown to truly respect and admire was Rei, and Rei let Arlo down. It never would have been important before because Arlo was always in complete control of every situation, he didn’t need anyone to look up too. But now, against a force that he’s already lost too, suddenly the fact that Arlo is alone is so significant. Arlo’s been distancing himself from others because it helped him when he was on top, but now he’s defeated, reversing the effect of reclusement. I don’t know. My boy just seemed real lonely. Iukghjksjhfujshgrn.
Throughout all of this, though, Arlo’s logical mind is still in top shape. That cold and analytical breakdown of a Remi and John fight defines everything about Arlo’s character. And he uses his discernment that Remi can’t be allowed to fight John and turns it into a plan to prevent it. Love it. This is what made Arlo a king. Not his ability to make barriers, but his ability to know what to do and what must be done. It’s what got him to the top after Rei left everyone in chaos and hopefully, it will now.
By the way, I’m loving the fact that Arlo’s logical mind overpowers his pride. Not many can say that, I can’t say that. But Arlo can and I respect him so much for it, especially because a large part of his character is reliant upon his pride and dignity. Arlo realized that it was his fault that everything was happening, realized that he made the initial mistake that led to John’s brutal takeover.
And what does this badass, genius, cold, king do? He goes to apologize.
    Still. not . over. This.
Arlo is going to apologize to John.
Now, I have no idea where this is going to go. I don’t know to what extent Arlo is going to admit his wrong, or how much John will be willing to hear, so we can only wait
Don’t mind me lowkey praying in the corner that now because Arlo really understands what John wants and has wanted from the beginning, they will someone become friends and respect each other.
Oh, who am i kidding
See ya next week. :)

Why A Friend Of Mine Likes Fallout Equestria:
Okay, first note, this isn’t technically my article, it’s by a friend, collected and edited from their chats with me. They just wanted me to post it, anonymously, for them because they’re afraid they’ll get shit for supporting Fallout Equestria (The original, not that New Pegas thing or w/e) on this site.
I post it because it’s got some really interesting insights on the nature of darkness, dark fic and optimism that I’d like to share with you, and I hope ya dig it:
Holy fuck I just realized EXACTLY why Fallout Equestria works as a darkening of a lighthearted show and other dark fics tend to not! (This actually applies to more than MLP). I’ve kind of already said it before but I need to say it again in case I failed to say it properly and also because I CAN PONTIFICATE IT NOW.
Fallout Equestria; the original; is a genuinely amazing fanfiction, not just because it introduced me to fallout; but because it also introduced me to the idea of interpreting fallout as something... good?
Not that the fallout was good, but that the general idea of Fallout is that you can DO GOOD. You can do BETTER. Also it did a lot of neat ideas about how Equestria could end up in a situation like Fallout and how magic would affect the war and... that new pegas guy is pissing me off because fuck that guy.
Firstly, I think I'm gonna introduce you to my favorite part of FOE lore: Fluttershy was the one who invented what would become their world's version of the nukes. AND IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE FOR HER CHARACTER...
Because she originally didn't invent it for the purposes of war... well, it was a wartime invention, but it was NEVER EVER meant to be an invention that COULD be used for war.
But that's the thing about inventing things; you don't always end up inventing something for good (see the inventor of the loudspeaker who lived down the street from me true story)
Basically, what she invented was a way for spells to be increased in power to extremes no one unicorn or zebra (the other side of the war) could ever acheive on their own; a Megaspell.
(Well, not directly, but with help; she was the one who implemented it, so...)
She created Megaspells so one could heal EVERYONE on a battlefield. Not long after, someone realized that one could replace the idea of healing with harm
And she, in an act of desparation, at the tail end of the war, gave both sides megaspells.
Assuming that no one would ever use them for harm, not because she was..naive?? but rather because she assumed that no one would EVER be suicidal enough to honestly use them for war.
...She was essentially the creator of their universe's version of Mutually Assured Destruction
I don't like stories where it's like 'lol what if something was super dark,' but I do like exploring how placing characters who are fundamentally good can end up doing things that ARE bad, and I do think FoE it shows the best way to have a character setting on like, how to make a good character/happy universe WORK in a darker context;
And on that note, can I engage you in a tangent about the optimism I see in the Fallout series? It’ll be important, I promise.
Ok, so, it's kinda weird cause like, you know, a lot of things in Fallout are intentionally extremely cynical (see Vault 11, Vault Tec, literally everything) but at the same time, it has this.. I guess... WORDS COME TO ME
Either way, even though I know that it's a major mechanic of games in general that one can change things, but what gets me is that Fallout is about... like, you can change things.
Like, that's what makes it so strangely optimistic, and yeah, hell, you CAN be a demonic force, whatever, that's always an option That's what makes the choice to be good worth it, but still.
The fact that in general, no matter what, your quest in Fallout is to make the world a better place than when you came
But like, it's kind of ridiculous for such a cynical on the surface setting to be so... goddamn NICE. Like, in Fallout 1, you go out to get water and end up SAVING THE WORLD FROM THE MASTER
You can do all sorts of amazing shit to improve people's lives in every single game, from the literal amazing savior shit to just giving some random kid who lost his family a home. And that is fucking great I'm sorry I don't care, that's just...
That every time, you make The Wasteland a better place
In Fallout 3, you straight up purify the water for future generations to enjoy and can help Harold realize that he can change the world by turning it into a lush forested area once more
You make the world better.
You fucking get out there, dig in your heels and say 'fuck this' and MAKE THINGS BETTER.
You climb up that tower in the boat city the guards will catch you for, JUST to tell that random guy of no consequence to the story that he shouldn't kill himself even though it doesn't benefit you at all.
You help those crazy ghouls in the REPCONN facility reach their goal of going into space because damnit, they're good people and they're gonna make it, fuck whatever people say, that's what I believe.
You help people because YOU CAN. And you make the world BETTER.
And that's... the most obnoxiously optimistic shit I've ever had the pleasure to play. BECAUSE THIS IS A WORLD YOU CAN MAKE BETTER.
And hell, even that 'War, War never changes' tagline doesn't mean what some people take it to mean. Yeah, war never changes, but you know what else? Human survival is a war, and we're never gonna stop surviving.
Because FUCK the idea that nothing can be changed; even if some concepts can't change, YOU can change what that concept means to you.
And, going back to the main topic, Fluttershy's transformation from a kind pony to being the reason the world ended happened without ever changing her fundamental character or compromising her morals; rather, it was that she never did that may have caused it.
Her unceasing faith that everyone would be willing to work together if the alternative was the end of the world failed her. First she made a healing spell that could be made into a horrible weapon And then, seeing the horrifying weapons possible with her creation... she gave them to both sides, in the hope that they would realize what the right choice was.
That they would be able to see that to continue would destroy them, that they COULD work together.
... They didn't.
She caused the end of the world by believing it could be made better. which is super ironic given my whole 'I love Fallout for letting me make the world a better place' but still.
Part of the reason it went wrong was that because Equestria is such a peaceful land where friendship is the solution to everything, that when faced with a situation where there was no easy answer, no way that the two sides could easily fix the problem, it spiraled.
Equestria never was in a war before then; in fact, in universe, at least for Fallout Equestria, Celestia and Luna were the only ones who knew that word, which had VANISHED from their vocabulary.
When you haven't ever experienced war, you don't know that winning isn't exactly an option.
But I think the basic thing is that instead of postulating a question like 'What if X character was secretly a serial killer lol', the question is 'What exactly would push X character to do something bad without breaking their character?'
And you can absolutely push any sufficiently already well written character to do things that seem to be the antithesis of what they are.
Batman Beyond had Bruce Wayne quit being Batman after he was forced to WAVE a gun at a thief attempting to kill the daughter of one of his friends because he a heart attack; this is a low key example, because he stopped, but that's the rub; finding something that would force a person to do something they didn't believe in.
But the thing? That's not the 'suddenly he pulled out a gun', but rather that it was the last straw. Because that wasn't the first time he compromised one of his morals; he tried to KILL the Joker before in that universe, not because he's a psychopath, but because of what the Joker had done to Robin.
He could rationalize it because he didn't kill the Joker, because it was to protect Robin; but he had weakened on one of his morals. And so the next time it happened, he broke the other moral. Because he'd already compromised it once, it was easier the second time.
And there you have it; Batman pulling a gun on a man and batman trying to kill someone. You've broken both of Batman's biggest codes of morality; and you've done it without making him a different character or truly changed him; just a snowball of effects that lead to breaking those rules.
With FOE, it asks 'how could ponies be forced into a world of war?' and the answer is SLOWLY. Slowly and using the small things. How to turn Fluttershy from the Element of Kindness to the pony who gave the enemy enough bombs to kill the whole planet?... you don't have to change much at all.. Just keep pushing them little by little father from a territory they know.
She never stopped being kind or trusting in others; she was just slowly pushed to realize the scope of their situation... and assumed the best when that wasn't the case.
Hopelessly naive, yes, but not 'lol, she wanted to kill everyone so she gave everyone bombs'
How to turn Pinkie Pie from the happy party pony to , the secret service of the world, a pony who surveils everyone with a big brother motto of 'Pinkie Pie is Always Watching You'? Simple; put her under pressure to do something to SAVE EVERYONE.
She already has uncanny abilities to know things; if she was pushed to protect EVERYPONY? Why wouldn't she do everything in her power to stop war?
She specifically has that Pinkie Sense, the ability to see little things in the future. With the help of their universe's version of Mentats, that power is honed; and of course she would use it to lock bad ponies up before they do something.
She also already in the show has an obsession with secrecy; breaking a promise or spilling a secret is considered taboo to her; it becomes a mater of her being put into those positions where people are counting on her.
IT'S SO INTERESTING especially to see a realistic ways very virtuous characters could end up doing bad things. And, the thing is, even in fallout equestria where naivete and blind trust in the best of others caused the end of the world, friendship and trust still is the solution; it's still the way out.
Which brings it full circle I FIGURED IT OUT AND MAYBE THEN PEOPLE CAN START MAKING GOOD DARK FICS OF ALL THE SHOWS. ANY SHOW ACTUALLY....
Maybe. Or, I could be 100% wrong lol

Look, when I wrote that post all the way in September, I thought I’d be less obsessed by December. I was wrong, though.
It happens.
Let’s not dwell on it.
For those who need to be reminded, BTS is:
A K-Pop band.
They have seven members.
They are ridiculously talented.
Their music, though categorized under “pop”, tends to go between genres.
They’re big in Korea, but since their Billboard award this year have been gaining a lot of attention in North America too.
Point is, some of their music videos have the members acting their little hearts out. The band also does challenges and plays games that allow them to not only connect with fans, but showcases each member’s particular charms. Basically, through every video I’ve seen of them, whether it’s an interview or a dance practice, I’ve been hoping they get cast in a movie. Maybe multiple movies.
And since I don’t have the power to make that happen, my solution is do an elaborate fancast post.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[Note: I won’t be fancasting the members for characters that are already (non-Korean) characters of colour. We have too few characters of colour for me to pretend it’s all the same if I fancast a Korean dude in place of a Black character, etc. People of colour are not a monolith. Don’t bother suggesting any such thing in the comments, thanks.]
*ahem* Let’s begin, shall we?
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Jin
as Gavriel from The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
Look, he’s easily the goofiest member, but in a lot of photoshoots and MVs, Jin ends up looking smoulder-y and vaguely …. well, I don’t want to evil. Um, chaotic neutral, shall we say?
This particular photo of him, combined with his moments in “Run” makes me kinda want to see him as the dangerous, sweet, and dramatically unhinged Gavriel from Holly Black’s The Coldest Girl in Coldtown.
I don’t care if the entire screen adaptation is in English and Jin’s the only one speaking Korean–which everyone can magically understand–I just don’t care.
I just think he could pull it off.
Suga
as Kaz from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I already mentioned this in my first BTS post and I know certain people/Nafizas will have different picks for Kaz, but as I’m the one writing this post, Suga’s my pick.
I don’t know how much of the “other members are scared of Suga” thing is true. I just know he has Kaz’s scheming face. Which happens to be Suga’s poker-face, tbh. He always looks like he’s planning something.
I also think Suga’s going to have a lot of fun with the scene where Kaz basically beats up his own gang in order to become the new leader of the Dregs.
J-Hope
as Bruno from Ms.Marvel by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona
J-Hope is the one from the group who I can picture saying: “Friendship is not a zone, you idiot! Friendship is something real and good and anyone who doesn’t understand that needs a dictionary.” I would love to see J-Hope as Bruno, being Ms. Marvel’s bestie and confidante, both for school stuff and superhero stuff. I think he’d be great at this role and I also think, like Bruno, he ought to have a sweet romance on the side.
Also, as of the last volume I read, Bruno is off having adventures in Wakanda and you guys, I really want to see J-Hope in Wakanda, trying to steal something from Black Panther, okay?
RM
as Victor from Want by Cindy Pon
I don’t actually remember if Victor’s ethnicity is discussed. I remember reading that no one actually knew where he was from and neither did he? If anyone knows for sure, let me know. And if it isn’t Korean, uh, I’ll find another character for RM.
Basically, Victor is supposed to have the kind of face that isn’t easy to forget *cough-RM-cough* and dresses like a model *cough-V-could-help-cough* and is often funny with his friends, but carries some darkness within him *cough-okay-that’s-all-people-though-cough*.
This whole post honestly began because I couldn’t un-see RM as Victor. Obviously, I can’t explain it. I just think he’d be perfect as the cocky dude who is also one of the best people you get to hang out with. Somebody please make this movie happen. I’m begging here.
Jimin
as Colton from Timekeeper by Tara Sim
Okay, this random picture of Jimin does not do him justice. (Except it also does, because look how sweet.) There’s something about Jimin’s close-ups that make me feel like he … just can’t be real? I mean, one person can contain multitudes, etc, but how can his face be possible?! Which works for a character like Colton.
Anyway, this fancasting is largely informed by Jimin’s solo track “Serendipity“. The music video has a very blonde Jimin mostly in an indoor setting, often looking out into the world. It reminded me a lot of how Colton was stuck at his clocktower and hoping for a visit from someone outside. There’s also a moment when Jimin pricks his hand and that reminded me of Colton basically breaking his clocktower to coerce a certain timekeeper into a visiting him.
Also, the song is pretty sweet. I recommend. The book and the song.
V
as Raffaele from The Young Elites by Marie Lu
Maybe I’ve just seen too much Hwarang. V has a supporting role in this drama and he has the long hair I always imagined Raffaele to have. Throw on some Venetian robes and we’ve got Raffaele from my favourite fantasy trilogy of all time.
V seems like a playful dude, but he definitely gets some serious parts to play in BTS’ MVs. I’m think back especially to “I Need U“. Certainly Raffaele is more about subtle subterfuge, rather than straight-up stabbing someone, but V has that quiet (and sometimes loud) intensity about him that I can see working for the role. I’ve never need a 3-season Netflix show more.
Jungkook
as Daniel from The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
Daniel probably doesn’t care for Huckleberry Finn, so let’s pretend JK is holding a different book here. Possibly a book of poetry.
Jungkook, like all the members, gets to take on some pretty versatile roles in BTS’ MVs. Off-screen he’s funny and energetic and on-screen he tends to be more serious. Daniel is an easy mix of these personalities.
I also think Jungkook can pull off Daniel’s way of being deeply earnest about love. Like, any other character saying the things Daniel says would be cliché and ridiculous, but because it’s Daniel it feels genuine. I think Jungkook definitely has that same quality. At least, on-screen, which is all I need for the purpose of this post.
Okay, we’ve run out of members now, so that’s my post done. How would you fancast BTS in different YA books? Let me know in the comments!
And happy weekend. ❤
Fancasting BTS In Some Of My Fave YA Books Look, when I wrote that post all the way in September, I thought I'd be less obsessed by December.
