remembering when majima was trying to connect with makoto and downplayed his own torture as "nothing compared to what she went through" and i genuinely think he believes that wholeheartedly.

#speaking in runes #like they both went through something so unimaginable and lost their autonomy and identities #but to majima what he went through was “voluntary” in a way. he brought it upon himself #but with makoto she had absolutely no say in the matter and was forcefully deceived into enduring what she went through #so in his mind she DID go through way worse and “hey at least i still have one eye!”#their arcs concluding with them both taking back control of their lives is such a perfect bittersweet bookend it makes me sick #especially cause majima’s control is superficial- he’s back in his birdcage it’s just an upgraded model
