the way i would pay for oliver to write meta about buck's character
#like. he Gets it. i've been thinking about buck in this ep for five days straight and he said it better in one sentence than any paragraph#i could ever come up with#people are arguing over whether buck#acted the way he did bc he wanted tommy's attention or eddie's attention or bc he was feeling left out or whatever but i don't think it's#any one thing i think it was just a general feeling of Wrongness when tommy showed up borne from thirty years of repressing his sexuality#and he tried to rationalize it as jealousy or whatever and worked through the fact that his behavior was completely unreasonable but#it wasn't until tommy kissed him that all of the rage that was trapped inside him was allowed to escape bc he finally had a name for it#he's been turning over parts of himself for years trying to find that final piece and getting more and more upset when it eludes him#n this kiss was the kind of cathartic relief that he so desperately needed bc it allowed him to understand what's been missing#anyway. oliver stark i love you so much i'm so grateful you play buck#buck#rae.txt#911

Sources below
A million thanks to @bleedingcoffee42 for tracking down this info for me!
#joe ramirez#joseph ramirez#band of brothers#rene l. moreno#mine: gifs#hispanic heritage month#latino heritage month#sources vary on whether he was a Private or PFC#they seem to have taken A LOT of creative liberties on the show bc#the only 2 anecdotes about him in BoB seem pretty diff from his character on-screen#not to mention that he would've been in the hospital during events of episodes 8 and 10 (each of which he's in several scenes)#on the other hand i do really like his character in the show and think he's one of the best and most underrated background characters#and why yes i am completely normal about him 😅#but also i'm sure he would've been great too if they'd made him more accurate to what limited info exists about the IRL guy#I forgot to save a few of the documents that bleedingcoffee42 sent me unfortunately but these are most of them!#but from one of them (his draft card?) i discovered he lived like 1.5 miles from my grandparents!!#(tho of course they moved there in the 50s so who knows if he was still living at same address by then... but still!)#oops i originally had the episodes he's in listed wrong on this#so AFAIK he's only NOT in eps 2 and 9#in ep 1 he's twirling a knife at the beginning and eating spaghetti next to Guarnere and Malarkey and playing basketball in England#in ep 6 he's eating the bean soup near the line when Sink arrives#in 7 he's sitting next to popeye and then in the church at the end (maybe in Foy but i'm not positive)#in ep 3 i thiiiink he's in Carentan next to Buck? and he's at the party in England sitting next to Lipton and listening to Gordon#in 4 he's in too many scenes to list here#in 8 he's in too many to list#in 10 he's hunting for food with the group and standing next to Grant's shooter when Speirs comes in the room

I keep seeing people comparing that scene where Nanami sees Haibara BEFORE he dies and him thinking his final moments weren't so bad to Gojo seeing geto (and everyone) AFTER he died as if they're the same thing...
Like sorry but the thing that made Satoru smile before death was Sukuna telling him that he was magnificent and that he won't forget him for as long as he lives😭😭
Yeah this is your man he wanted to be acknowledged by the king of curses yeah he's a freak just accept it.
#jjk#jujutsu kaisen#gojo satoru#ryomen sukuna#sukugo#gosuku#my post#it had to be said#It's not like he only saw geto in the afterlife he saw everyone even fucking Toji was there#Don't get me wrong I'm not denying st.sg they're pretty much canon but the comparison to the Nanami scene doesn't make sense in my opinion🤚#I think people just hate Sukuna lmao#The Sukuna erasure makes me mad😤#is gege ever going to clarify whether the airport thing was real or a hallucination agghh

so here's my honest thoughts on dragon age: the veilguard, after ~40 hours of playing. i finished the main quest after having finished all companion quests and major faction quests. just to clear up what content i saw, i played as an elven transmasc rook who is a member of the lords of fortune. he romanced lucanis (although after finishing the game i'm now leaning towards taash). i don't know what's happening in playthroughs that have a different race, gender identity, romance or faction going on.
full spoilers ahead, i mean it. don't read further if you want to avoid them. i don't want complaining about it in my asks.
oh and also, if you're worried because of a few negative reviews online i can comfort you by saying don't give a fuck about a certain big name youtuber who is very much tied to bethesda franchises giving this a negative review. i'll explain why.
i'm starting off with the things i liked
the game looks really pretty. i was worried it wouldn't feel like thedas anymore (with them trying to "focus on northern thedas only" i thought they'd make a clear cut in environmental design. they do and they don't. it's complicated. i'll elaborate on it when talking about the negative stuff). anyway it does. minrathous feels like kirkwall. treviso enchanted me like the winter palace did. the hossberg wetlands reminded me of the hinterlands and a couple other inquisition maps. arlathan looked like... arlathan. the crossroads were different, but familiar. overall i like the way it looks and feels. it's thedas, with a twist. it's a good one, and gives everything a solid but unique feel.
combat is top tier. if you're a hardcore dragon age player you WILL miss the tactical aspect of it for a bit, but i promise you, once you're used to the way the combat works, you will be lapping that shit up. and once you get to ability combos you'll mourn the control you used to have over your companions in battle a bit less
the MAIN quest and its story. i expected worse, way worse. and for a while the game even had me tricked (harr harr you'll get it in a second) it is Really That Much Worse. but holy shit was it good. i walked away satisfied ngl.
your choices have SOLID weight. there's consequences, good AND bad. i got minrathous blighted, ruled over by venatori, and the leader of the shadow dragons ultimately died because of my decisions. i made those at the beginning and throughout the game. he died at the end. DAVRIN died because i didn't expect what i was saying to have that much weight. i thought i was in the clear. he had hero status. well turns out, your choices can still get your companions killed even if you do everything right. i fucking love him. he shouldn't have made that sacrifice just because i told him to do everything it takes once.
the inquisitor, morrigan and dorian being there, surprisingly. there's also negatives to this though, see below.
speaking of companions dying and the inquisitor playing a bigger role: the final quest feels like me2's suicide mission. i was blown away by it and the fact that i got to see the results of all my efforts playing out in front of me.
bioware are NOT trying to redeem solas. they love him as a character yes, but i wasn't forced to see any good in him. he betrays you. he fucked my rook over twice. he fucked him over right back, for good this time (the veil wasn't torn down, i anchored it by binding him to it, he's doomed to uphold it). but solas really lives up to his name as the trickster elven god. rip to all the people who grew really attached to him over the years.
varric died. if you like him that's probably as hard reading it as it was watching it. varric died and the game lies about it until the very end. when the realisation hits, it hurts. but in the very best way.
the amount of care they put into gender expression and trans identities this time around. (i'll add onto this with negative points as well too).
rook feels very much ingrained in the world of thedas. he doesn't ask questions that expose the player to lore through dialogue as if he's stepped foot into thedas for the first time. those conversations feel very solid and good. i hope other faction players got as much joy out of this as i did.
and the things i didn't like and boy there's a lot unfortunately
the music. let's just get that out of the way holy shit. it doesn't feel like it belongs in this universe. it gets so incredibly sci-fi-y at times you'd think it's taken straight from mass effect andromeda. there's not a single song unique to veilguard that i really enjoyed. it broke my immersion, real bad. hearing a busker play the tavern songs from inquisition on a lute right after i killed some venatori with wobbly bass songs playing in the background is just odd. weird tonal shift. don't like it. it's made for people who like flashy light-weight cinema.
tevinter nights is required reading. the podcasts are required listening exercises. the game is so fast paced, especially at the start, that there's no time to introduce you to characters and how much weight their names carry in-game. i would not have known who half these people are if i hadn't skimmed over tevinter nights. i'd care even less about them than i already did. there is no time to get properly attached to them. people will act as if you're talking to a legend personified and you'll be thinking man goddamn which chapter of tevinter night were they in again and what did they do???
there's a weird mismatch with the animations. you'll have beautifully fluid ones, like emmrich casting spells. and then you'll have rook's face animating in the most unnatural manner that's sorta reminiscent of mass effect andromeda's "my face is tired" addison, when their emotions SHOULD be landing with the player rn instead.
i'm not vibing with the art style. sometimes it works. most of the time it doesn't. at points i felt like i was watching tangled.
that also brings me to some of the dialogue. same issue. i am watching frozen. i am watching tangled. someone on the writer's team really likes the adorkable trope. bellara is its victim.
for all the talk about identity, bioware sure doesn't like theirs. the grey warden armor got a redesign again and it just makes them look like a generic army. i hate it lol
in general, i don't like the armor design. the wardrobe/appearances system is fine, but it's just not helping if all the armors are just... kinda bland or downight bad looking? and don't get me started on the lords of fortune armor. that is orientalism personified.
the world states should have been carried over, full stop. i know they said they didn't because they want to separate what happens in the north from what happens in the south, which... i could have lived with that. but the inquisitor sends you letters that keep you up to date on... the south of thedas. you learn that there's a blight again, that people are standing strong but it's difficult, denerim's fallen, the rulers are taking care of it, orlais is fighting and they're successful for a while, etc etc. what's good bioware. i thought we don't care about the south this time around. why are you feeding me so much boring generic information. if you're not gonna show any of it and just write letters, then carrying the world state over should not have been an issue. i have a game dev background. those few lines of code would not have broken your budget or pushed your engine's limits. fuck right off.
this gripe of mine carries over to all the cameos. as a lord of fortune you have to deal with isabela a lot. it's fun. i missed her. you get to go drinking with her and taash and bellara! also my hawke romanced her. she's not mentioned once. they had the opportunity to put a sentence or two about her in there with not a lot of effort, trust me.
when varric dies, all she has is a single line about it. for gold, for fortune, for varric. she only says it if you interact with her on your way to the final push. that's not mandatory.
morrigan is there. kieran isn't. the old god soul that mythal and then solas absorbed? who cares at this point, the gods are dead now and solas is locked away for eternity. i suppose? why is morrigan there. she feels unneeded. i wish they'd just left her down south, at least that way i wouldn't have had to witness her god awful redesign.
dorian at least feels as if he belongs in this story. the shadow dragons are a crucial part to protecting minrathous. he's also weirdly underutilised. isabela and morrigan had more lines than him in my playthrough.
on the topic of romance: bro that was underwhelming. no, genuinely. you know when romance picked up a bit? after the point of no return. i heard maybe two lines of companion banter about it before that. maybe i missed something which i honestly doubt, but romance did not play much of a role in lucanis's storyline. i saved his grandmother as he wished me to (and if you read tevinter nights you know she was rather abusive and their relationship not the healthiest) and told him to focus on his family. a reunified family my rook wasn't even introduced to as a partner at the end of all that.
really, do not buy this game if you're only in it for the romances. others might be better, lucanis's basically gave me nothing. except for an outing (the second coffee date i had with him, it was getting repetitive) all of it played out once i committed to the final quest. the sex scene was a fade to black. annoyingly right after davrin died. if you're looking for well paced and good spice, pick up something else. the sweet talk and the final goodbye were nice though.
for all the good the ever-presence of gender identity does, it is brought up in such a disruptive manner too. it doesn't even play out naturally if you CHOOSE the lines that are meant to be said. hearing the words trans and non-binary in this setting doesn't feel right, and i'm saying this as a trans guy. i think it could have been handled more gracefully. the amount of times my rook went "i'm a MAN" as if he's about to start drumming on his chest and roaring any second now got super nerve-grating. "i'm so glad you're into me... the me who is trans. remember?" just. tell me one trans person who'd talk like that to a person they've grown close with and are trying to romance. this game doesn't handle sexuality well, so all this hey my body might not look like the way you're expecting it to look talk amounts to nothing anyway. i feel about this the way i feel about krem: this is partial exposition to trans experiences... packaged up for cis consumption. the ONLY exception to that is interacting with taash. holy shit was all of that heartwarming and bro did it feel good and natural to talk to them about theirs and rook's gender.
rivain and nevarra are new locations added by veilguard. they're also incredibly underwhelming, small and constricted maps. rivain is a coastline with a few ruins. the hall of valor is a partial ruin nestled into a cave on a beach, with a fighting pit. isabela is there in her skimpy outfit commentating your pit fights. that's it. i'm sorry if you were looking for a bustling pirate cove or whatever. you're not gonna get it. the nevarran crypts btw are a long ass dungeon crawl. that's it.
speaking of maps. i thought people were being dramatic when they said you're gonna be fighting the same enemies on them again and again. i thought they were figure of speeching it. they're not. you WILL fight the same amount of enemies. in the same spot. every time you reload the map. best to stay on a map and clear out the enemies and do as much questing on that map as you can before leaving, because you WILL have to do it all over again once you return.
the three choices i made for my inquisitor didn't matter lol she didn't have to face solas and therefore couldn't stop him at any cost as she had sworn (maybe because my rook tricked solas into binding himself to the veil, there was also an option to fight him. would she have stepped in? who knows). blackwall wasn't mentioned. and either her using a small amount of her forces in the final fight was the reason the civilians of minrathous fared so well..... or it just didn't matter. ultimately i think she had very little impact on anything
#datv#datv spoilers#dragon age: the veilguard#oh wow i hit a limit typing this#anyway to tie this up a bit: the good and bad to the environmental design being that well-known architecture like minrathous and dwarven#ruins look fire and remind me a lot of the previous games#but newly added locations are very... generic... very bland#i was very excited for rivain. i thought we'd get to see ships. not a bunch of ruins and a fighting pit and that's it#and why did i say to ignore a certain guy's review? bro because he was complaining about taash being ace and that taking up their screentim#and them being too up in your face about their identity. he did all this while she/her'ing them constantly#but my man they're trans. nb. not ace.#y'all need to be careful about bad reviews. they're coming from people who are upset about gender identity being handled as a topic in this#game. meanwhile they have no clue what they're even talking about. i don't think matty knows the difference between ace and trans#and neither do the hundreds of people who are one star rating this game currently#i liked this game. it's not top tier. it's not something i'll sink hours and hours and hours of my life into#it has tonal issues and it's moving away from what made dragon age stand out for me#but i do think that it's a genuinely fun play and people who are very invested in dragon age will squeeze joy out of it wherever they can#i had a hard time warming up to the new characters (taash and lucanis being the exception because they have an older bioware air about them#but solas's and varric's story (and don't get me wrong that's what veilguard is about) is GOOD. that is how bioware used to be.#and i wish they'd given us that energy all over the game. that direness. that grit. serious and mature writing.#that consistency is lacking#and whether you're gonna enjoy this game or not is entirely dependant on what you came here for and how well the game delivers on it#i think their weakest points are ironically the thing they advertised the most: the new companions and their writing#you won't find nuanced and good enemies here (i already reblogged something about this. you can go scroll around a bit and catch up on that#really the only thing that had me super invested and emotional was the main quest.#so make of that what you will. ultimately i was more frustrated with the game than i got enjoyment out of it. i was close to just put it#aside for now... until i went to minrathous to end ghila'nain's and elgar'nan's ritual. that all blew me away. still on a high off of it.#anyway yeah that review got cut short by the character limit maybe i'll add more to it tomorrow but rn... i am heading to bed#thanks for coming to my ted talk. also i'm sorry. zevran REALLY isn't in this.#dragon age

I know the ending was bleak and tragic but I find it hard to believe that the crew's family would not be outraged with the company and go off to search for them on their own or at the very least hire a PI/search & rescue to find them. It definitely wouldn't take 20 years for them all to be found. Months at best. However, they all likely still would've been found dead because they didn't have enough supplies to last until they were all found.
At the very least I just can't fathom them all floating through space rotting away and NO ONE actually looks for them. No way. Specifically Daisuke and Swansea's family.
Like I think about this so much. How much would it cost? What would the company say to cover their ass? (We all know how corporations are. Especially this one.) Would they not even acknowledge any concern? How much hush money would they attempt to offer? How would the families cause enough of an uproar for the company to take action? What lies would the company spread before finally accepting that they're at fault? How long of a battle would the families put up with before taking matters into their own hands? Would this cause there to finally be proper work regulations? Not specifically for a crew since the Tulpar was the last, but in general for any job with humans at the helm.
I don't even wanna think about if any of the family finally finds the ship and goes on board. Daisuke's parents would be devastated and guilty. Swansea's kids would be outraged, seeing the bullet hole in their father's head. You even have to wonder about Curly and Anya's family too. I don't think they'd be allowed on the ship just simply for the fact that the investigator/S&R would know that the crew would likely not be in a good state when found. So that puts my mind somewhat at ease. None of their families has to immediately see that whole scene. But they would have to identify the bodies, and that's what hurts me.
#More musings#This game haunts me lmao#Like I think about this shit so much it lives rent free in my head fr fr#Bc we see this shit in real life#Companies at fault for wrongful deaths#And Pony Express is at fault. Make no mistake.#Extensive psych evals should've been done long before they boarded the ship#Proper regulations too#There was no reason to tell Curly that news way before they landed. He is at fault partially but...#I'm constantly thinking of their families#I think about how my family reacts if someone is missing or got hurt or how they died#There is just no freaking way the Tulpar would only be found 20 years later or not at all. No way.#Whether Curly would live after being found is...idk. There'd be a lot of blood loss and possible infections to worry about.#Would he even want to live like that? Traumatized as hell?#I like to think that because of his injuries it would be clear he didn't cause the incident but who knows#Maybe forensics and investigation is way better in the future lol#I'm being too hopeful maybe.#I didn't mention Jimmy's family because they could be one of two ways- they could be assholes like him or-#They enabled him worse than Curly ever did. And since I've met men like Jimmy his parents probably suck or at least one sucked#And the other was an enabler. Either way...I don't wanna talk about his parents. It's rare that they're good nice people.#Or they could just not be around. Which is another explanation. We don't know for sure.#But I guarantee they're enablers and his father probably acts just as bad as he does if not worse.#Okay I'm done now lmao. Alright-y, so in case anyone missed it, we've recently gotten some information from Quackity that he's most likely doing some new project, that seems to involve multiple languages, once again. Kinda like QSMP?
Maybe EXACTLY like QSMP…????
Or maybe not
Basically, the way I see it, it is pretty likely that this is QSMP-Related, what with the images that he's been posting recently, with the GODDAMN EYE GUY
However, even if it is QSMP-related, there is something that would need to be addressed
And that's that it's incredibly unlikely we'd be getting QSMP back in the form we knew it as
Honestly, I don't really see many of the Admins returning, Egg or otherwise. Whether it's by their own choice, or the choice of the powers-that-be. And I think we all know that all the Admins, Egg or otherwise, were a huge part of what made QSMP special
In addition to that, there's also a chance that with that sort of outcome, a lot of the Creators wouldn't be coming back either. I could kinda see some of them not returning even if the Admins DO come back. I know a few of them had more sour experiences with QSMP than others did, and I couldn't really blame them for not wanting to give it another shot
So even if this is QSMP, there's a HIGH chance it won't be the same server we knew
But I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. After all, I'm pretty sure the Eggs weren't initially MEANT to be as big as they were, which means that there HAD to be some plans for other stuff at one point or another
Hopefully…
Now obviously this is ALLL just, as usual, ✧˚⊹SPECULATION~!⊹˚✧
I'm not a psychic, and I don't know jack-all about what's been going on behind the scenes regarding QSMP or anything Quackity-related. I'm just making educated guesses and reminding everyone to temper their expectations, and try not to be too disappointed if this isn't exactly what you were hoping for
Because even if it isn't, I think it could still be something pretty fun, and I'll probably at least give it a chance regardless of whatever it winds up being
(Except maybe Purgatory 3, because I think I had enough of those vibes during my recent Purgatory 1 Re-Watch)
…
(Oh who am I kidding I'd probably end up checking out Purgatory 3 at least once I have a problem okay???)
#Personally I'm not sure I could be as invested if certain creators didn't come back#Namely Philza#Do I think for sure he wouldn't return?#Idk#But he didn't show up for the finale for reasons unknown#And that kinda makes me think he isn't likely to join back up#Though I could very easily be wrong#Or have just missed whatever reasoning he gave for not being there#Not to mention a lot of the other creators had their own lore finales#That they'd have to essentially undercut if they wanted to return#And of course there's the treatment that a lot of the (specifically French) Creators got#Like I'm pretty sure Baghera was consistently having troubles for one reason or another#Whether it was because of fans#Or just certain stuff going on in the server#A lot of the other French Creators got a lot of harassment too#With I think Aypierre (or Antoine) leaving twitter just a couple days ago because of it#Not to say it was limited to JUST the French Creators#I know that there was a lot of vitriol for the Portuguese-speaking part of the fandom at one point and that SUCKED to see go down#I guess at the end of the day there's a lot of room for negativity#And there was a lot of negativity in general that could influence how things go from here#But there were some good things too#So I think we just need to make sure to acknowledge both the good and the bad moving forward#If there is a forward from here#Guess we'll see huh??#qsmp

At this point, gender nonconformity is about what the person says their experience is.
If a woman with a beard or a man with lipstick and a mustache says they're gender nonconforming, then they are! If a woman with short hair or a man with long hair says they aren't, they aren't! And that's not even getting into the awesome nonbinary, abinary, genderqueer, intersex, and general genderfuckery that may both be and not be conforming.
So much of what is even considered gender conforming or gender nonconforming is based on a world of exclusion. When we start defining one's conformity with whether they fit into white cishetero perisex standards or not, we play into the idea that there's only a very narrow window of what is considered worthy of time and thought.
#gender nonconformity#gnc#queer#like. for instance a native man who keeps long hair might be considered GNC by white standards but for him it's absolutely not nonconformit#there's an aspect of white supremacy that silences everything else while saying that other culture's silence is indicative of whiteness...#...being 'correct' or 'moral' or 'neutral'#and as somebody who's trans and last i checked white i have my own thoughts from my own experiences#like how i don't consider myself to really be a GNC man. i'm just. man+#i'm a weird concoction of weird soup that tastes like a man but if it were Wrong#and i just don't see that as not conforming to manhood like it is seperate. i see it as irrevocably linked TO manhood#it is others who have excluded and exiled me from manhood because of *their* understanding of me and how i 'fit in' in cissexism#while i will never ever say i know what it's like to not be white i will say these conversations that PoC have started have been INVALUABLE#i am forever grateful to have been extended the patience and faith to listen in on the experiences of people...#...who are racialized in terms of gender and how they do/don't 'fit in' with often white supremacist views on gender/dynamics#may have made a post like this years back but. eh. arrest me officer i will not back down#i've been more and more 'gnc' as i go into my transition and i don't see it as nonconformity but as an outlet for my masculinity#which is why i'm not insecure about my crafts and creations. because it is coming from a male whether or not it's considered 'manly'#i have little to *no place* in cissexist society so why should i put any stakes into if they ~accept~ me#made this post while jamming out to skyrim's tavern OST (paused my game to write this)#why the HELL does the skyrim tavern music have to go SO HARD. i NEED to slam down BARRELS of mead while listening to this istg#i don't even LIKE honey so i haven't tried mead but. for skyrim i would.

Thinking about this post again and I noticed...
How Alma and Yomi's eye and hair colors are reversed.
As you can see, Alma has red hair and silver eyes (some coloring it has a slight blue tint to them). Yomi has silver/white hair and red eyes.
Yep, they are connected somehow in this story.
How? I don't know, but I'm going to take a guess here.
Now, I will warn you that I do talk about the story here, so if you are not caught up (as of this time, there would be 21 chapters) or not have at all read the manga, be aware of spoilers ahead.
Let's continue!
I'm guessing some of things here.
Yomi "created" Alma himself, turned him into a Maga just as he did with the others.
Could be created from the same person, related maybe.
Alma is 15 and Yomi looks to be in his 20s. He could be older than that.
About to go on a full on ramble here, folks. Stay with me.
Other than the rings, the more I think about it, the more I see there can be some things in the story that hints at their (Alma and Yomi) connection to each other. Of course, there's the obvious, right in your face stuff (like the rings and how Yomi talks about Alma) that you're about to see and then subtle hints (such as their colors).
I know, some of what I'm about to say may be a stretch. Honestly, just me sharing a thought I have. So, you don't have to agree with me here.
Anyways!
Let's reiterate from the story a bit.
In chapter 4, while talking to Yoru, Yomi mentions how he knew Alma and been watching him since his birth. However, he mentions "being rejected once". This could be referring to being rejected by Alma himself or someone else.
A part of me is banking on Alma being the one to reject him at some point. Staying on chapter 4, there's this bit. [Press images for closer view.]
Yomi talks about having a "constant" in life. When you lose it, you become your most fragile. He then states that he'll be patient until Alma has his "constant".
I'm guessing here that once he is sure Alma has someone close to him, possibly Tao, he'll get rid of that person so Alma can be at his most vulnerable and take that spot. Become his "constant". Manipulate Alma into accepting him and being in his family. Making sure that Alma doesn't reject him again.
Maybe he was that "constant" for Alma before getting rejected and is why he says what he said to Yoru. Maybe he is banking on Tao being that current "constant" he wants to get rid of and is using Yoru to do that task. Why Yoru? He's a Maga made from Jin's body, Jin who is Tao's younger brother who felt that his big sister lied and left him behind. (Check out chapters 14 - 15.)
Yomi lied about that "being patient" part because come chapter 8, he shows up to see Alma.
It just seems to me that Yomi has this eagerness to want to have his ideal family. Maybe even possessive in a way, especially over Alma, that he feels entitled that those he changed into Maga must stay in his family. Here's something from the previous chapter (7).
Yomi insists that Kanata and Alma belong right there with him and the others.
As I mentioned, I think Yomi created Alma. When Yomi states he was there since Alma's birth. What if "birth" doesn't necessarily mean "when Alma was a baby"? What if he meant since Alma's change into a (half) Maga?
However, what as I mentioned with my other guess, Yomi witnessed Alma's change into a Maga by someone else? He learned to do that from that person?
"It hasn't been long since Kanata was born..." I'm guessing he meant that Kanata didn't become a Maga until recently. What if this is the context Yomi meant back in chapter 4?
On Alma's end, he doesn't know Yomi. He didn't recognize him when he encounters him. He relates this to Tao even in chapter 16 that he didn't know him.
What he does know is that Yomi has the same ring as him (chapter 10), a ring that Alma has made clear is important to him as he demanded Utsuro to return it to him after she snatched it away (recognizing it as the ring Yomi wears) in chapter 19.
That leaves me questioning as to why the ring is important to Alma. Something tells me he doesn't even know why, but he just feels that the ring is significant.
Those rings could have been given by the same person and something happened to that person. Which left Alma and Yomi alone, something happened between them that caused the two to become distant and Alma not remembering Yomi and also Yomi creating his "family" with the others.
Factoring out that "maybe mystery person", it could be that Yomi gave Alma the ring. Again, something happened between the two and lead to where the story is now.
With either scenario, I do feel certain that Yomi's actions are out of loneliness and possession.
For now, I'll leave off here and continue on another post.

Would you classify Machete as neurodivergent at all? Like in an autistic way? Or is it just the overwhelming ambition, trauma, and anxiety?
I think I've projected so many of my own autistic traits on him over the years, chances are he's at least a little bit on the spectrum.
#your ocs tend to mirror facets of yourself more often than not#whether you want or intend it to be that way or not#I think#I'm a little hesistant to assign a whole bunch of specific labels on him though#because if I say “this character is ace” there are people who will start to view them as ace representation#or autism representation or gnc representation or italian representation or catholic representation#what have you#and if character x represents thing y#I'm worried eventually someone will show up and say “your character represents autism wrong/badly”#even though we're talking about one person's highly personal oc and not like a commercial product#I don't know I'm just overthinking probably#but yes back to your original question you're probably correct to assume he has some neurodivergency going on#he doesn't know#nobody knows#it's late 1500s#and he has learned to mask well#answered#ephemeralprince#Machete

i just want to say i recently discovered you & love your art so much!! i only know kamen rider and twst on very surface level. but seeing that a game like ride kamens is gonna exist has me brainrotting like crazy. I wanna get in joseimuke games now haha. Any suggestions?
Cant believe we have only one more rider reveal for ride kamens... i'm personally hoping for specter but i have zero evidence besides the two horns. idk i just really like the suit designs from kamen rider ghost a lot so it would be super cool to see a ghost rep. though i heard ghost is a unpopular series in japan most likely not. Dang guessing these silhouettes are like "whos that pokemon" on major crack...
thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ I love that off-the-wall adaptations (if that's even the right word) like Twst and Ride Kamens can exist in this world. more media franchises need to make absolutely buckwild decisions like this.
(also DANG a Specter would be fantastic! especially Deep Specter, he would look amazing. 😭 I had mixed feelings on Ghost as a series but its designs went pretty dang hard Beethoven was criminally underused for how good a design it was. think of the hoodies! THINK OF THE HOODIES.)
I don't play a lot of games in general, so I'm pretty new to joseimuke games myself; if anyone else has any suggestions then please drop 'em in! :> if Twst is sorta your starting point, then the ones I tend to see brought up as ones that fans also play are Ensemble Stars, Uta no Prince-sama Shining Live, and Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku/Promise of Wizard. though disclaimer this is just based on what I've seen people talking about, so it might be outdated and/or not actually similarly-toned games!
#joseimuke games are serious business#i know obey me is also a big one that a lot of my fellow twsties play#but if i remember right that one has you romancing/being romanced by the guys so ymmv on whether you want that or not#(no shade just wanna be clear since i'm pretty sure all the others are romance-free)#(do correct me if i'm wrong!)#(this is literally just me googling like 'does (game) have romance' so i am not an expert on video game smooches)

I'm not really sure what the narrative function of Boruto having three (four?) potential love interests is, but what I am starting to feel confident in is the idea that we're not getting through this story without an eventual love confession from at least Mitsuki
Like. they're spending A Lot of Mitsuki's screentime showing us how he's steadily puzzling out his feelings and what it all means to him, in particular when it comes to Boruto - that's the kind of thing that needs a conclusion at some point, even if Boruto doesn't reciprocate. And having it be in the form of Mitsuki vocalizing his feelings only makes sense, because he also struggles a lot when it comes to expressing himself.
I've touched on it a couple times before, but I really don't think Mitsuki identified his feelings as being romantic until like... maybe chapter 88. And even then, he doesn't seem fully committed to the idea, so there might still be more introspection waiting for him on the topic.
But since they've intertwined his arc about learning to understand and express himself with his romantic feelings for Boruto, it only makes sense from a writing perspective for there to be a moment where he tells him how he feels. It's not entirely dissimilar to Hinata's arc, in that way; both would be overcoming a deep-seated personal struggle that makes it difficult to communicate, all because of the strength that their fully-realized love gives them. And I just think that's pretty cool

so... in the drama where ray kissing mew (who has said he doesn't want to be with him) when he's asleep is explicitly wrong and there are real consequences for it,
boston shoving top (who has repeatedly said he doesn't want to have sex with him) against a wall and groping him in a public place (twice) is... fine?
continuing to touch top after he's said to stop and let go is... okay?
hmmmmm, almost like this drama is trying to say something about consent... almost like it's a recurring theme........ 🤔
#and u might've notice that every time boston has come on to top it's been in a cramped closed place. that was also on purpose#(den literally said so lmao)#inb4 ''not fighting him off'' isn't consent#not that anyone who disagrees with me hasn't blocked me yet lol#as always whether or not u like boston is irrelevant. saying that top is in the wrong or that what boston did is consensual is NOT OKAY#even if you hate top you should be empathetic to his being ATTACKED and TRICKED#(but if you hate top please keep it off my post ok i'm tired)#only friends the series#only friends series#ofs liveblog#my caps#book kasidet#khaotung thanawat#neo trai#force jiratchapong#LOOK I WANNA STOP POSTING ABOUT THIS TOO RAAAAAAAH
