I actually think I remember seeing a person describe it this way before. Like I know that they were talking about this show but they must have been greatly misinformed or talking about extremely early concept ideas because it was described to be as bey about an employee and their demanding boss.

Another thing that was really confusing about this post was that while it was talking about viv's work in general it was trying to encourage people to watch helluva Boss and there was an image with it that in retrospect having now actually seen the show, looks absolutely nothing like any piece of imagery that's actually in Helluva Boss.

Like it was an image of a dark silhouette on a wall yelling at their imp like employee and now I'm starting to wonder if this was either extremely early concept art or they're pulling from something else.

I'll remind you this was my introduction to Helluva Boss. When I finally started watching the show that post was in the back of my mind and I got really confused when nothing similar to what I saw there was really in the show.

I'm not saying this one post is the root of it all, but I am saying this might be a bit of what happened here. A lot of people when they were first hearing about this show probably heard some sort of description that had an emphasis on I.M.P.

Which is probably contributing to the number of fans that show turned into something else. They were told the show was one thing and they were expecting just that one thing. People are having a disconnect between what they think the show is supposed to be about ( given how it's described to them) and what the show's content actually contains.

I'm curious if some people initially thought that Moxxie was supposed to be the main character and that's a part of the reason why there's complaints about Blitzø, the actual protagonist, getting screentime being in the spotlight. (As much as any other main protag would.)

I love Moxxie but I don't think he'd work well as the main character compared to Blitzø. This show is called Helluva Boss for a reason and I can't imagine HB without Blitzø.
