i'm reading lolita and amazed that humbert humbert introduces his ped*philic ideas so early on, perpetuates them in the text (through prose, no less, which is equally disgusting), and yet people still miss the entire point
#tori speaks.#i'm only 30 minutes in and this is so uncomfortable#vlad is an excellent prose writer though and the writing style is beautiful#when looked at outside of the story of course#but thinking about the prose as written by the narrator?? disgusting awful nauseating
