⌕ dates with riize 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ𐀔
Tumblr media
hello briize hello riize lovers i’m one of you please keep the requests coming
PAIRING riize x gn!reader (not proofread!)
TAGS sfw, fluff, headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OSAKI SHOTARO ༄
literally all sunshines and rainbows throughout the rest of the relationship
if you get into an argument with him that has GOT to be your fault idk what to tell you
i feel like he’s the type of boyfriend to teach you how to drive
and when you hit the curb he’s like “that’s okay! we can try again when i fix the car!”
but at the same time he’s gripping that roof handle in the car for dear life but he’s just too sweet to tell you that your driving’s horrible
he never lets you drive again btw
HE’D FILM SOOO MANY DANCE TIKTOKS WITH YOU!!!
also i feel like instead of a gf effect, it’s the opposite with him because he gives you the bf effect
your entire fashion style is gonna change for sure like have you seen this man? that is a man of AESTHETICS
would be so enthusiastic with teaching you all the tiktok dance steps
and none of these tiktoks are cringe they’re actually those cool ones
the type to hug you at the end of the tiktok video or kiss the temple of your head idk…
i imagine his ideal dates might be cafe hopping/cafe hunting all across tokyo or just shopping around shibuya
takes you to one of those claw machines while you’re shopping and he’ll try winning you a random plushie of an anime that neither of you watch
so now you have a random plush of like… some dude from haikyuu
would pay for your drinks btw (coffee, milk tea, matcha)
SONG EUNSEOK ༄
OK LISTEN.
cake decorating
he just looks like he’d enjoy doing that like did you see how proud he was wearing that hello kitty hairclip
please this man is gonna hear you suggest it and he’s like “LET’S GO!!”
craziest part is that he’s gonna eat you up at decorating it too
you’ll see him make a cute flower on his cake using the cream and you’re like “how did you do that :( how dare you be better than me :(”
and he’s gonna giggle nervously and his face is gonna turn a light shade of red while he helped you out
“i’m not better than you, we’re equally good.” and then he compares your cakes together and the only reason why yours looks ok is because he helped you for the most part
if you genuinely feel a little gloomy that yours looked bad he would purposely mess up on the rest of his cake
because eunseok will never be caught dead leaving his beloved partner unhappy, no matter how small the issue might be
i feel like he would notice those little shift of emotions that you have that even you barely notice
and he’d do his best to cheer you up because you’re just his everything </3
after the cakes are done he takes 282629 pictures of you and your cake and then he’d probably say things like “keep posing, you’re so pretty”
i think most of his dates would involve domestic things like that
if you don’t live together he’d crash to your house, help you deep clean the entire house and he considers that a date too
a little bit more low maintenance when it comes to relationships if that makes sense
also i think he’s not very clingy but he LOVESSS a clingy partner even if he doesn’t verbally say or show it
he’s always have a light blush on his face whenever you just cling on him
so please cling onto him as much as possible
JUNG SUNGCHAN ༄
just a feeling… but
gym dates 😭
and he’s so cheesy about it okay like at first you’re reluctant because the thought of going to a gym scares you
but then the first time you go there and he’s like so touchy with you in a good way
purposely standing so close to you while he helps you out with the equipments
maybe at one point he’s even like “yeah just do it like that.” while helping you out with the weights and then giving you a kiss on the cheek
which catches you off guard you almost dropped the weights but he was holding it with you so you’re good
when you blush he would let out a flustered giggle and won’t comment on it
and then you make it even worse by saying something like “i’m just flushed from the workout” and he’s like “sure babe”
would always be close to you just in case you’re caught underneath the weight and you can’t lift it up anymore
at the end of the date you’re like “i can’t move my legs” and then he just carries you
takes you out to eat something sweet afterwards
he’s going to be all smiley the whole time too
at the end he’s like “didn’t i tell you it would be fun? do you wanna go to the gym with me again next week?”
if you say no he’s not gonna sulk and punch the wall or something he’s just gonna be like “aww that’s alright too.” and then kiss your head
then he would say something like “you were incredible on your first try though, i’m proud of you.”
clenches fist i want him so bad…
PARK WONBIN ༄
i swear wonbin’s a little weird
like have you seen his tiktoks… something’s strange about that man
i think he stated before that he loves shopping so you KNOW what that means
always send you vids he sees on the internet about some new shop opening up in hongdae or something and he’s like “let’s go bae”
sends you the weirdest tiktoks and is like “you”
and then you’re like “wonbin what”
and he won’t elaborate
sends you his fit checks
if you don’t approve he will actually sulk i’m not kidding
sometimes when he’s bored he’d write a song for you
like not a singing song but a musical one from his guitar if that makes sense
he loves matching with you. matching earrings, matching clothes, matching beanies.
ohh i feel like he’d also do those cute couple videos on tiktok like you know he would slow dance with you in the snow and post it for everyone to see this man LOVES soft launching you
his soft launches are also by no means him trying to hide you or keep you a secret, it’s more like… he just likes to have a mysterious vibe to his online person 😍
also i think he loves leaving kisses on your neck whenever you snuggle up to watch a movie or something
like you’re talking to him while you’re on his lap and he’s just like “mhm, and then what?” and then he gives you kisses down your jaw and neck
he’s all over you PLEASE no matter in public or private and it’s even worse (or better 😜) in private too
HONG SEUNGHAN ༄
definitely a gamer bf
dates with him involves him going out to see the sun for the first time that week ❤️
i’m just kidding but your dates probably involves a lot of going out because you feel like this man NEEDS to get some sunlight
also one of the guys that enjoys PDA
he wins the idgaf war he would kiss you at any point of time if he suddenly feels like it
you can just be talking like straight up gossiping about something that happened between your aunt and a scammer and he would just…
he would just grabbed the sides of your face and plant the deepest kiss ever
and then you’re all flustered and he would burst into laughter
he’s the biggest flirt ever he has this one stare that would leave you WEAK in the knees
definitely has a habit of staring at your lips when you talk which makes you SOOO nervous
plays with your hands or hair while you talk
just a thought but he’d definitely run his thumb over your lower lip after he kissed it WOAH
calls you with the most generic pet names but god it makes you run LAPS
also when you come over his house he’d make you pull for him on that FIFA game idk how the game works but i hope you get what i’m trying to say
LEE SOHEE ༄
AH i feel like him as a bf is so fun
he looks like so much fun from the instagram/tiktok posts tbh
the most normal boyfriend ever help idk how to explain it
sends you pictures of him at work with captions like “fighting my hardest battle (i’m at the work i willingly applied for)
various dates
he doesn’t always suggest ideas for dates but he goes ALL out for you when you suggest them
you want to watch the sunset? best believe he’ll take you to the prettiest beach he could find for you to enjoy
you want to have a movie date? he’s gonna set up the projector at his house HIMSELF
i don’t think he’s very keen on kissing in public but he has no problem holding you close to him
holds your hand, holds you by your waist, EVERYTHING
takes 0.5x pictures of you from your forehead
he has a picture of the two of you completing a heart drawn on your cheeks as his lockscreen
always yapping about you like
“my lover made me this lunch”
“my lover gave me this for my birthday”
“my lover tied my tie for me today”
his favourite type of dates are karaoke dates sorry like this man is beyonce’s son he’s GOING to use that godsent vocals of his
also i feel like anniversary celebrations are so grand with him his love for you is so genuine he wants to give you the world and more
i want him so bad… he’s my goat
ANTON LEE ༄
dates are SOPHISTICATED
he’s bred in BOSTON you know he goes crazy with that shit
make you dress up fancy in silk and satin and stuff everyone once in a while to take you to a fine dining i’m so serious
takes you on concert dates too
like… mitski or laufey or niki zenfaya concert dates
he would lift you up on his shoulders during these concerts so you would see clearly
also likes backhugging you
he’s so soft spoken so you don’t have the heart to ever start any arguments with him
when he was a swimmer he’d give you those vip pass or something (idk how dating an athlete works oops)
after his competition finish and he’s still wet from the water and its just covered by his towel and swim attire, he would go up to you with a flushed face and would ask you if he looked cool or not
i think he’s the type to enjoy talking to you most of the time during dates or just like an everyday occurrence
like he loves staring into your eyes as you speak he loves you so much but he’s too shy to tell you that so often
he’s not the type to just blurt out “i love you” but you can just tell that his feelings for you are true from the way he stares at you
would let you decorate his hair with your hairclips and would wear them out for the rest of the day
he’s soooo smitten by you it’s crazy

@steddieholidaydrabbles valentine's day prompt | read on ao3 tags: established relationship, fluff
Tumblr media
“Wait, how is it possible that you’ve never had a Valentine’s Day date?” Eddie asks. “You literally dated Nancy for almost a year.”
Steve shrugs. “She was sick that week. I had something planned, but had to cancel. I brought her soup and stayed with her for a little while, but it wasn't really the date I had hoped for, you know?”
In the nine months he and Steve have been dating, Steve has gotten better about asking for what he wants, but he still gets weird about some things though. So Eddie knows he’s bringing this up a couple weeks before Valentine’s Day for a reason—that even though he can’t really say it, he wants to have Valentine’s Day plans with Eddie.
So Eddie starts planning.
His plan starts with breakfast in bed because he doesn't want to take away from whatever Steve’s got planned for dinner — he knows Steve will probably plan something romantic for that.
His suspicions about that are proven right when Steve not so casually asks at the beginning of the week if he has “dinner plans on Saturday” as if Eddie won’t remember that’s the 14th. He plays along and says he doesn't have any plans yet, watching as Steve tries to hide his small smile behind his hand. He’s so fucking cute.
On Valentine’s Day, Eddie wakes up earlier than he has since he graduated high school and makes his way over to Steve's with his supplies.
He lets himself into the house with the key Steve had given him a few months ago and gets to work quietly making breakfast.
He mixes the waffle mix before he puts a pot of coffee on, fiddling with the coffee machine that he’s only used a few times because Steve tends to wake up before him and already have it brewed.
He hums quietly to himself as he cooks the bacon and eggs, the waffles cooking away in the waffle iron.
When the food is done, he grabs the tray he brought with him and arranges flower petals around the plate. He turns to grab a coffee mug and nearly has a heart attack at the sight of Steve leaning against the archway leading into the kitchen.
“How long have you been standing there?” he asks, watching as Steve starts to walk forward towards him.
“A few minutes. I woke up and heard something and figured you must be down here,” Steve says, coming to a stop right in front of Eddie. He’s smiling softly and his eyes are fond and happy and Eddie gets lost in them for a moment before he remembers—
“Wait, no, go back to bed! This is supposed to be breakfast in bed!”
Steve brings a hand up to push Eddie's hair out of his face and cup his neck. He says, “Breakfast in bed is a really sweet idea, but I don't think I could handle the crumbs,” and Eddie groans.
He forgot how much of a stickler Steve is for not having food in his room. “I wanted to be romantic!” he whines, sticking his bottom lip out. Steve swoops in and kisses it softly.
“It was very romantic to wake up to the smell of coffee and come down here to see you singing and cooking me breakfast,” he says, thumb stroking over Eddie's cheek.
Eddie leans into the touch and says, “Go sit at the table and I’ll bring it to you. At least let me have that.”
Steve smiles wider and says, “Okay, love.”
Eddie pours them both a cup of coffee, adding sugar and cream to Steve's, repeating what he’s seen him do countless mornings, before he finishes plating the food.
He grabs the tray and his own plate and brings them to the dining room, setting the tray in front of Steve.
He’s about to go sit in the chair next to him when Steve pulls him into his lap.
Eddie laughs and turns in his lap so he’s sitting sideways and not blocking the food.
“You shaped the eggs like hearts,” Steve says, looking up at Eddie.
Eddie sets his plate down on the table and kisses Steve, soft and slow.
“I think this is the most romantic thing anyone’s ever done for me,” Steve says when he pulls back. His eyes are shining a little.
“You deserve romantic things,” Eddie says, kissing Steve's temple. “You deserve all the romantic things, in fact. I have a whole day of romantic things planned just for you.”
“The whole day?” Steve asks, surprised.
“What, did you think I’d feed you breakfast and then just leave you alone the rest of the day?” Eddie asks with a playful scoff. “We’re gonna eat breakfast and then we’re gonna watch the cheesy romantic comedy I rented. Then we’re gonna go to Lover’s Lake and have a picnic in the back of my van. Then we’ll come back here and I’ll let you have your way with me before you whisk me off to whatever dinner plans you made.”
Steve has the nerve to look caught out at that last bit. “You knew?” he asks, mouth pulled into a cringing smile.
“I know you, darling,” Eddie says, grinning at him. “You’re a romantic.”
“This is going to be the best Valentine’s Day ever, spending the entire day doing what you planned,” Steve says, nuzzling his nose against Eddie’s jaw. “But I hope you know I’m gonna woo you tonight. Sweep you off your feet.”
“Oh, are you now? How do you plan on doing that?” Eddie asks.
“It’s a surprise,” Steve says, voice teasing. He picks up his fork to start eating.
Eddie hums. “No thoughts about the having your way with me part of my plan?”
“Oh I have thoughts. Many, many thoughts,” Steve says, leaning up and pressing a kiss to Eddie's jaw. “I’ll try not to wear you out before dinner.”
Eddie raises an eyebrow at him. “I’m holding you to that, big boy.”

stranded on the same ground — j. suh
Tumblr media
NOTE. hey sorry for ghosting (again...) PAIRING. johnny suh x fem reader GENRE. hurt/comfort, angst SYNOPSIS. the entire process of getting over your ex, johnny suh (and meeting each other again) WARNINGS. profanity, mention of alcohol W/C. 4.8k
(人*´∀`)。*゚+ masterlist.
The morning of your breakup with your first-ever boyfriend isn’t as awful as you expected. Life went on like it usually does. Blinded by anger, you wished for your ex to have the most terrible, annoying, and awful day ahead and all the other days that followed. Call it childish, if you may. Call it a little bit immature when I say the two of you didn’t really end on bad terms. Your only worry after you parted ways was, ‘How could he fumble so badly? ’. You didn’t cry the morning after your breakup with Johnny Suh, but you did on a random Tuesday night when you saw the sticker he put on your tumbler. You cried again the following week when you found yourself walking on the same route you would always take with him on the way to the terminal when both of you had enough time before heading to work.
It truly is the little details that bring you to tears. Not the broken promises and the plans you made together that you will never fulfill because you are used to those things, unfortunately, because you weren’t really that loved when you were younger, which is sad, and now that the only person that showed you affection is gone for the sole reason that ‘the two of you need more space to grow and move forward’.
It’s all bullshit. And you hope he thinks the same.
You hope he feels the same. You hope that every day he wakes up, he reaches his arm to the other side of the bed and realizes that you no longer lay beside him. You hope that every time he prepares the table, he gets two spoons and then realizes that he has to eat alone and not have anyone to talk about absurd things during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which leaves him no choice but to watch stuff on his phone. On top of that, you wish that his WI-FI doesn’t work, so he will be bored to death.
You sat at the lonely six-seater dining table so early in the morning. It’s been three months since you broke up with Johnny, and really, you don’t feel anything right now other than the desire to make this day as productive as possible, and you seem to be on a really great start.
You woke up at 5 a.m. in the morning to go on a morning jog, and when you reached your desired time, you decided to stop by the bakery to grab yourself some pandesal. When you got home, it was almost 7, and you decided to use your espresso machine that has been sitting in your kitchen, praying to be used. The fact that today was your first time using it was very evident because you had to get a chair to get it from the highest counter, and the box that it came in is now covered with dust. And then it hit you.
That coffee maker was a gift from Johnny. No, you’re not going to cry. You wouldn’t let that little piece of equipment ruin your day. Even if it was an anniversary gift. Even if you know damn well, he saved up most of his salary to buy you that. And now you’re on the verge of tears as you remember the fact that you didn’t even get to thank him properly because that was also the day you broke up with him.
And now! Another! Day! Ruined! Thanks, Johnny Suh.
In the end, you decided to drink instant coffee.
You heaved a sigh, trying to contain yourself. No! You wouldn’t let that happen. He should be the one crying over this espresso machine because it’s so expensive. Hell, he knows you don’t even drink coffee. He bought this for himself and gave it to you, and now he can’t even take it back because you are no longer together. Ha! Take that, Johnny Suh.
But then again, Johnny Suh is rich as hell so he won’t be crying over a gift for his ex.
Moving on (something you obviously can’t do), your work as an architectural designer starts at 9 a.m., and for some weird reason, you wanted to look your best when going to work. After all, you are going to meet tons of clients (and you are running for senior architect, so obviously you gotta do a bit of sucking up to your superiors because you! need! the! money!).
So with your desire to get promoted and get more money, you decided to go to work an hour early.
God forbid nothing cliche happens when you are at work, like meeting your ex and having him as your client, because if your memory doesn’t fail you, my goodness, Johnny Suh talked about wanting to have his own house by the end of this year!
“Architect, meet Sir Johnny Suh.” You are fucked. Seeing him again was one of the scenarios you made on your way to work today, and you blame your mind for being imaginative to the point of manifesting him right in front of you.
“I’ll be assigning you this project because this is a great opportunity for you to grow and improve.” Sounds familiar. Maybe because that’s what you told Johnny when you broke up with him. “I believe you are responsible enough to lead your own team, and this is your chance to demonstrate your skills,” your superior told you. It wasn’t very clear on your end because your ex is just a few feet away from you.
“Thank you, ma’am. I will do my best,” was all you could say. Your boss then left you alone with... him.
You stood there in shock, but you tried your best not to express it with your face, mainly because you didn’t want him to think that he still had an effect on you. You didn’t want him to think that his showing up at your workplace so early in the morning three months after your break up still has an effect on you.
You thank the universe that some of your colleagues are late because if they were here, they would make fun of you until the sun sets. After all, they were the ones you drank with until your heartaches ended.
You looked at him and saw him looking at the displays in your work. You realized that this was his first time here. Throughout the course of your 7-year relationship, he never insisted on visiting, or maybe you just didn’t let him.
‘He looks.. well.’ You thought to yourself, and you don’t know why there was a hint of disappointment laced in the crevices of your brain. Could it be because he looks like he is doing a lot better than you or because he looks like he is doing a lot better without you?
There he is, still standing tall, and here you are with all of your fears coming back to your system. The fear that led you to end everything, despite everything being good, If the reason you gave him that night wasn’t really clear on his part, it wasn’t clear to you either. After all, your mind was clouded with your low self-esteem, but it was a lot more than that. It was too much for you to take, and you just didn’t want to burden him anymore. He has a book of plans, and yours was paper thin due to your uncertainties. But is that even important now that everything is done?
You cleared your throat in an attempt to get his attention. “Let’s head to the conference room.” Putting your ex aside, this is a great opportunity for you to get promoted. You haven’t seen the project proposed by your client, but this is your chance to get the salary you deserve and your own office. After countless nights of working overtime and overextending yourself, it will all soon be worth it. You hoped.
Johnny Suh won’t ruin this chance.
You didn’t let the awkward walk to the conference destroy the harmony and creativity you could offer for this project, and the moment you sat on one of the chairs in the conference room, you didn’t waste any second asking, “What are your goals and objectives for this project? ”
Your immediate question didn’t surprise Johnny. You are the type of person who is very driven. And he knows that. Very well.
“I would want a space that is aesthetically pleasing and functional.” His answer exuded a lot of professionalism. Something you hope he maintains until the end of this project.”
“And what is the budget for this project?”
“As long as we don’t exceed tens of millions, though I don’t mind not staying within the budget only if it is very essential for the house.”
‘Tens of millions. He really has a lot of money, huh? ’ You thought. You look at the mood board on the folder handed to you by your boss, and right there you understand why he needed that much money. It’s almost a mansion!
‘Why does he need a house this big? ’ You asked yourself. Maybe it’s for his family. He always mentioned wanting to build a house for his mom and dad so they would live closer to them and not experience the hassle of buying expensive tickets and tiring flights.
After more questions, you almost forgot that you were working with your ex. Maybe you don’t really care anymore. Maybe you didn’t care that he was starting to turn one of his plans into reality. A house? Such a big step into your 30s. While you go home every day to a small apartment that has been opening its doors for your big problems, Maybe in those three months, he already found the path while you were still navigating the route towards it.
You looked at his back as he stepped out of the room. A view you are strangely familiar with. Even if the results of your decision still haven't caught up to your life, change is very different in Johnny Suh. Change looks good on him.
You let out a small laugh when you remember the number of times you wished the worst for him. Turns out he is doing a lot better now that you are gone from his life. Aside from that, he didn’t sound affected at all. It’s just you who is still stranded on the same ground.
But there is something you can’t deny. Not blinded by anger anymore. You are really proud of him.
After the meeting, you gathered your team. You hired an engineer and an assistant. You also consulted a group of construction workers willing to work on the project. It's the productive day you wished for.
As the day came to an end, you received a text message from him.
Please be at the groundbreaking ceremony. It’s nothing big but it would be nice to have you there.
The message read. As much as you didn’t want to go, he is still your client and you need to, for the harmony of the team.
I will be there. You typed on your phone as you waited for a cab to stop in front of you. This is the closure you needed. This is the closure you need to move on from your paper-thin plans and actually move forward with real, concrete plans. It doesn’t matter if you are navigating the route alone; as long as you know, when you walk towards the path you promised him, you will carry no regrets. You will know that it was for the better.
The 20 minutes you spent inside the taxi were more excruciating than that random Tuesday night when you first cried over the two of you. It’s bittersweet in the sense that you no longer feel angry about your own choices and feel sad because you have come to the realization that you no longer have the right to pry into his choices. He wants to build a house. Good for him. He specifically asked for you to design his house. Fucking great. It totally doesn’t feel like he is doing this to make you feel bad. But knowing Johnny, he is not the type of person to hold a grudge. If he loved you in the past, then he has no reason to hate you in the future, despite not being a part of it anymore.
And the day of the groundbreaking ceremony came quickly. You wore your best clothes to look as presentable as possible, and as expected, the moment you stepped foot onto the site, the cool breeze was the first one to welcome you. The 500-square-meter lot was surrounded by trees inside a gated community. It's a very secluded area. You wouldn't expect this to be in the middle of the city. The walls and trees hovering over the houses are enough to muffle the noises from the highway.
"Hey there, it's good to see you," Johnny greeted you warmly, his smile stretching wide across his face. You reciprocated with an equally warm smile. Despite only seven simple words passing between you, the air seemed to thicken with emotions, leaving you momentarily breathless. Johnny's presence was striking, a stark contrast to the person you had parted ways with three months prior.
"Ah, well, I couldn't possibly leave a client hanging," you replied with a light chuckle, trying to shake off the sudden intensity of the moment. You blamed your tardiness on traffic, a common excuse but one that felt feeble in this instance.
Johnny's laugh was soft and understanding. "No worries, I completely understand," he reassured you.
The exchange hung in the air, followed by a brief but poignant silence. It was as though the unspoken weight of the time apart and the changes that had occurred in both of your lives weighed heavily in the space between you, mingling with the anticipation of what was to come.
"Hey, are you feeling hungry at all? There's a sandwich over there if you're in the mood. Oh, and by the way, Engineer Lee is currently in the tent."
“Not really,  I will just take a look around the lot. Thanks”
The ceremony started earlier than originally planned. You stood at the back with your friend Ten, who is also the engineer you hired for this project. You watched Johnny with his parents, holding a golden shovel, marking the ground as the start of the construction process. Materials are all set, and the design is already settled. The workers will be present on the site tomorrow, and they will start working on the foundation of the house.
You let out a sigh of relief when Johnny’s parents didn’t notice you at the ceremony. Maybe it’s because of the new haircut, or you really just didn’t want to be seen. But that really is inevitable when Johnny and his family are inviting the entire team for dinner at their house. And Ten has been pushing you to at least say hi to them. After all, the family didn’t do anything wrong to you.
“Just go to them and say hi!” He said as he slightly pushed you towards them. Your eyes were glued to the family. They were laughing, and his mother looked very happy as she fixed her son’s hair. You are used to seeing them like this. They were like your second parents at the end of the day.
You mustered your courage and walked towards them. You don’t know why you are so nervous about greeting them when they’ve only given you nothing but love.
“Hi, auntie, uncle.” You greeted them with a genuine smile plastered on your face. They turned to look at you in surprise.
“Oh my goodness, honey. You didn’t tell me that the best architect in town will be in charge of the house,” his mother said before engulfing you in a hug. You wrapped your arms around the older lady and laughed in response. You exchanged eye contact with his father before smiling and nodding at him, and after that, your gaze fell on Johnny, who was looking at the both of you with emotions whirling around his face—something you cannot quite paint. He was smiling, but his eyes looked very different. You brushed it off with the reason that you guys haven’t seen each other for months. What rights do you have to dictate the emotions in his eyes?
“How have you been, darling?” His mother asked you with so much gentleness laced in her voice. Her eyes scanned every part of your face.
“I am doing great, auntie. How are you?”
“Well, I am really thrilled for our new house! And to have you design our home, ugh, it’s like a dream come true.” She said, and you gave her a small smile. “I saw how much you worked hard to get where you are right now, and I am so proud to see how far you’ve come.” She continued as you both slowly walked away from Johnny and her husband.
You could only hum in response. Overwhelmed by the love and appreciation she is showering you with. You looked at your hand; she was squeezing so tightly, and you realized that the moment you lost Johnny, you also lost the mother who has showered you with love ever since.
"Listen, I know whatever happened between you and my son is no longer my place to pry into, but I just want to ask you to try and settle things. I understand he can be a bit stubborn, but if you two can't reconcile romantically, at least try to maintain a friendship," she said unexpectedly, catching you off guard with the sudden turn in conversation. You gazed at her, unsure of where she was leading with this.
"You're the one who understands him better than anyone else, who knows the deepest corners of his heart. It'll be difficult for him to find someone else like you," she continued, her words carrying a weight of sincerity as she held your gaze. "He loves you dearly, my dear."
"I loved him too, auntie. But sometimes parting ways is for the best. I hope you can understand that," you replied softly, feeling a mix of gratitude and sadness.
"You know I'll always understand," she reassured you, her tone gentle and understanding.
"Thank you for everything, and for trusting me with this house," you expressed your gratitude sincerely.
"Honey, trust me when I say it was all him. He trusted you with this house," she replied warmly.
Dinner with the future house owners came and went and now it was time for goodbyes. There wasn’t much talk while you were eating. You were just enjoying the switching conversations in your surroundings. You would answer when they asked you questions  but you don’t actively participate in the discussion.
"Thank you for dining with us, Engineer Lee, and honey," Mrs. Suh addressed both of you with a warm smile. "Thank you so much for coming."
"It's my absolute pleasure, auntie. Thank you so much for having me," you responded with genuine gratitude, your smile reflecting the warmth of the evening.
"I'll get going, ma'am, sir," Ten interjected, offering to drive you home. You glanced at him, mustering a condescending smile, and mouthed, 'I can handle myself.'
"You sure?" he persisted, concern evident in his voice.
"Yep, don't worry," you reassured him.
"Okay. Bye, everyone. Thank you so much for this amazing night," Ten bid farewell, expressing his gratitude to the gathered company before making his exit.
"Uh, I can drive you home," Johnny offered as Ten's car exited the gate.
"Oh, no, no nee—" you began to decline, but Mrs. Suh intervened.
"Yes! Yes, drive her home. You commute, right? You know it's dangerous for you to commute, especially late at night. So yeah, take her home, Johnny," she insisted, her concern for your safety overriding any objections you might have had.
You can never, and I mean never, decline any offer from Mrs. Suh. She has always been persistent, and that is one of her charms. Something Johnny didn’t get from his mom. You can never say no to her, not in the way that she will get mad or upset if you decline; she is just so good at it.
You took a deep breath and let out a smile, “Okay.”
And there you were, in your ex’s car, three months after your breakup.
It was like your throat was dry because of the coldness inside the car. You couldn’t bring yourself to utter a word, and the same thing goes for the man driving. The route to your apartment is something you have memorized so well, and now it is mixed with the familiar, clean scent of his car and the feeling of relief that you are going home with the person who was once the love of your life. It’s very familiar.
Because it was all you lived for in those seven years.
You worked your best because the thought of going home with him and telling him about your day is what you lived for all those years. You worked your best because you wanted the best for the both of you without knowing it’s what would break the two of you. Maybe it was the overwhelming amount of socialization you did earlier, but now you could admit that you were insecure. You were insecure about him having so many plans and being so sure of his future with you while you worked tirelessly at a job you were not sure deserved you. You wanted the best for him, and you just didn’t have the capability to be the best for him. You wanted more for yourself because he made you feel small. Not intentionally on his side. You can now admit that it’s totally your problem. He never did anything wrong. You just think he is too good for you. And you wouldn’t let him have a future with someone like you.
You wouldn’t want him to live in a future that is uncertain.
“Engineer Lee mentioned something about paint and tile picking tomorrow for the interior.” He took the upper hand and broke the silence. You looked at him and nodded your head.
“Yeah, uhm, you can tag along if you want.” You regret saying that. Why did you immediately assume he wanted to come with you?
“I was going to ask about that. Okay, I will go tomorrow.” He responded, and then silence hit the both of you for the nth time.
Friday, rush hour, everyone desperate to go home, and you were one of them.
You wish Johnny would just drive faster so he wouldn’t have to sit in the painful silence, but the traffic wouldn’t let him.
You made a concerted effort to keep your gaze away from him, determined not to let your neck betray your curiosity. Despite your best efforts, fate seemed to have other plans, and against your will, your muscles betrayed you, turning your head to face him. To your surprise, you found him already looking at you, his gaze meeting yours in a brief moment before both of you looked away at the same time.
You want him to ask if you are doing well. You want him to ask how you’ve been in those times you weren’t together. You want to see him desperately get to know you again in those times he missed your presence. You want him to ask, or at least say something. You want him to initiate a conversation. You want to know if he still cares about the choices you’ve been making. You want him to ask about the little things happening in your life, just like before.
But he didn’t.
Until you reached your building, he didn’t ask anything.
From days to weeks, until it became months of working together, nothing much happened. Totally not that closure your foolish ass expected. Honestly, why were you even expecting anything? Now that months have passed and it’s been a year since you ended everything, I don’t know why you are still expecting anything when you don’t even know what you want to happen.
Sure, he would casually talk to you when he’d drive to the site to visit. Sure, he would buy you breakfast or lunch, but you are not the only one. You are working for him, and he is paying you. He wants you to do a great job, and of course he would treat you well. Sure, he would still invite you to dinner with his family, but he would also invite Engineer Lee.
On the other hand, Johnny has been making extra efforts to make you comfortable after that night. Not expecting anything in return, maybe his mother was right. A little effort will make a friendship between the two of you blossom. After all, it’s a very essential thing when you are working together. But he can’t help but notice that after that night on the road with you, you were being a little more cautious than usual. As if you were walking on eggshells around him. He understands that you feel sorry for what happened, but he isn’t the type of person to dwell in the past now that you are still here in the present.
You have been very ignorant of the fact that he is trying to mend things between the two of you, and now that the project has almost come to an end, with Johnny seeing you as oblivious to his efforts, maybe he should try a bit harder.
If only you knew. If only the both of you knew how much you hoped something would happen that night when he drove you home. If only one of you asked something. But let us not dwell on what could have been; you are here, and this is the last day of construction. They are only installing the lights outside and painting the exterior walls.
Like many other nights before, no one took the initiative. As always. The two of you might be so used to it by now.
The housewarming event came up next, and both of you knew this was your last chance. This marks the end of the project and the opportunity to mend the broken hearts you left each other with.
After working hard for years, you finally got the promotion you wanted. You proved yourself with a project they assigned you, and he was somehow involved too. But all the credit goes to you. You worked really hard to find the best supplier and design the house they wanted.
You've accomplished the first and final wish you made for him. Now, you don't owe him anything anymore. You designed his first house and have become a better version of yourself in the process. Perhaps that was the closure you needed—not just with him, but with yourself too.
And you were fine with just that. You didn’t want to expect anything anymore.
You made sure to greet all the people you worked with throughout this project, and you didn’t forget to express your gratitude to the team that supported you and showed patience every step of the way.
As you socialize with more people, Johnny, who has been observing you the entire time, has a genuine smile on his face. ‘Change looks good on you,’ he said to himself. He can’t help but be proud. He doesn't have any reason not to. You look the happiest right now, and as someone who knows all your dreams, this is a check in the box among many others.
He made the right decision by picking you as his architect. Other than being good at what you do, he saw this project as an opportunity for you to really get what you want, and the reason why you ended things with him was growth. He knows how much you need that push in your life. He knows how much you need something to happen in your life. Even if it means losing you. Even if it means not being with you every step of the way, He is happy for you and the change you made in that one year.
Amidst the bustling crowd, you locked eyes with him and offered a smile, prompting him to raise his champagne glass in acknowledgment. With purpose, you made your way through the gathering until you stood beside him on the balcony of the freshly constructed house, both admiring the view of the garden below.
For several moments, silence enveloped you both, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air.
"Thank you for your brilliance, architect," he finally said, breaking the silence.
"It's my pleasure," you responded, the words carrying a sense of fulfillment.
"As an extra payment, can I take you out to lunch tomorrow?" His offer brimmed with confidence, breaking the quietude with a hint of anticipation.
“How could I ever say no to that, Mr. Suh? ”

Kim Seungmin/female reader
wc: ~7.2k
rating: fluff (kinda?) to smut to fluff ಇ (sub/switch!seungmin/softdom!reader)
comments: this is my first time trying out non idol Seungmin. @xirxe requested au fluff! I started a coworker au, and then got more info from them after I started writing furiously. I'm still working on another one more specific to their request, but I decided to finish this one as well. "Finish" …because I don't know when to stop ever. It got very long and turned much more sex-heavy than originally intended. Anyway, I miss writing long pieces and now I might write a part 5 for Blind Date (⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)
⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄
The first time you see him, he’s in one of the appliance aisles. Actually, it’s the first time you hear him, because what gets your attention is him laughing hysterically with another coworker, goofing off, sitting in one of the display office chairs. And he’s just about to be launched down the aisle when you turn the corner.
“Oh shit…caught,” you hear one of them say, and you’re pretty sure it was Changbin. But they both stop dead and look at you like you already handed out their punishments.
The reality is, you don’t care what they’re doing, because the store is nearly empty of customers. The snowstorm outside is making sure of that. But you’re new, and you’re above them—that’s all it takes to make things awkward. They’re probably expecting you to start bossing them around immediately.
Nope. You walk by them and smirk, “don’t break anything please…”
They giggle and pick up where they left off as soon as you turn the corner and disappear. You remember who the dark haired one is, but for some reason, the name of the blond in the chair is escaping you.
The second time you see him, he’s fighting with the coffee machine in the breakroom.
As soon as he hears you walk in, he stops beating his open palm against the side, looks back, smiles, then tries the button again. “Do you want a cup?” He asks.
“Doesn’t seem like it wants to give us any.”
“Surrounded by brand new Nespresso machines…stuck with this.” He opens the top, closes it, then pushes the button again. This time it works, and a moment later, his coffee is pouring into his cup.
“Maybe I can ask about getting a new one for us.” You watch him watching his coffee.
He swirls it and brings it to his nose before taking a sip. “I’ve tried. Hopefully you have better luck.”
To your surprise, he sits directly across from you at the table. You look at him, try desperately to remember his name. You forgot to check the schedule when you saw him earlier in the day, but you don’t want to ask. And of course he isn’t wearing his name tag.
“Where’s your name tag?” You ask, trying not to sound too much like a manager.
“Uh…” he slaps his chest where it should be, looks down at it, thinks. “I must’ve lost it.” The smirk on his face is…cute.
“I’ll get you a new one.”
“You’re very helpful.” He shakes his bangs away from his eyes—blond, a little too long. You can see his big dark eyes a little better, just for a second until his gaze drops back down to his coffee.
“I try.”
He’s quiet for the remainder of your break, but when you rise to leave, he does as well. You head toward the office, and he follows. Just before you get there, he makes a left turn.
Now you can finally look at the schedule and figure out his name.
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
The very next day, you still have no idea who he is. The copy of the schedule was nowhere to be found, and your computer access is still limited. Try as you might, your login just won’t work. All you have to do is ask him, though. It’s not that big of a deal. And honestly, if you weren’t wearing your name tag, he probably wouldn’t know yours either.
A soft knock on the office door makes you jump. You check the time—8am. If only you could find a schedule, you’d know who was supposed to be here right now.
“Good morning!” You’re greeted with a familiar face when you open the door. He steps inside, hands stuffed in his pockets. “Do you have a job for me?”
“Do I…I’m not sure. Is anyone else here?”
“Uhm, well you opened the doors,” he starts, rubbing the back of his neck, “and I just came in because the door wasn’t locked, which was lucky, because it’s cold out and I did not want to stand out there and wait.”
“Okay, so we’re here.”
“Just us, yes.”
“Do you have a login for the computer?”
He nods and smiles, takes a seat, and starts typing. “You don’t?”
“It doesn’t work yet.”
“Oh okay, that sounds about right for this place.” He gets up and turns the seat for you. “I don’t have as much access as your login would, but it’s better than nothing.”
You sit down and spin back to the computer, look around, click a few things. His profile photo stares at you from the corner, and you have to force yourself not to accidentally click on it. He’s watching over your shoulder, leaning in a little, trying to be helpful. You catch the faintest scent of whatever he's wearing. It's not cologne, though. He just smells clean and nice, probably how his bedroom smells.
You find a page of contacts, phone numbers. Good enough for now. “Thanks,” you turn to him and he’s staring down at you with a goofy smile.
“No problem. I’m going to go make some coffee.”
As soon as he leaves, you don’t grab your phone and call another manager, and you don’t even keep the contact page up. You go back and click on his profile.
“Oh! Kim Seung Min, that’s your name.” You stare at his profile photo. His hair is darker in this, and the contrast makes his skin look pale and his eyes look even bigger. His smile is so wide, like he's actually happy to be there. He’s very photogenic; it’s a good photo. A work ID photo really has no business looking this nice.
A few minutes later, he knocks again, and you quickly exit out of the screen as if he can see you through the door.
“Sorry, I just…I saw the new machine," his little nod and blink makes your breath catch in your throat. "I made you some.”
Seungmin hands you a mug of coffee, a little darker than you’re used to, but he obviously watched you put milk in yours yesterday, and tried his best to copy it.
“Thank you, Seungmin.”
“I can remake it, if it’s not good.”
“I’m sure it’ll be fine.”
“Did you find what you were looking for?”
You look at the screen, heart starting to race. Did you only think you exited out of his profile? No, it’s not there. What is he talking about?
“Oh…oh, no not yet. No answer. I’ll call again in a few minutes.”
“I can help you with the opening stuff, if you’d like. I’ve done it a few times with the other managers.”
“The guy I saw yesterday and the one I’m seeing now don’t seem like the same person.”
He stares blankly for a few seconds, puffs out his cheeks, looks around. “Me?” The blush in his cheeks is rising. “Am I being too responsible right now? I can stop.” Seungmin smiles so big you can see all of his teeth.
It’s hard keeping your own smile in check. This one has to know how cute he is, and there’s no way he doesn’t use it to his advantage. “You can stop in an hour.”
“Deal.”
The two of you survive, dancing around each other for a few hours—you, purposely avoiding him several times by swerving to a different aisle. Him, wellhe acted responsible all morning, smiled every time you made eye contact. When noon finally comes around, another manager shows up, and the snow finally stops.
Changbin also arrived at noon, and as soon as he and Seungmin looked at each other, all responsibility flew out the window. But you turned a blind eye to whatever goofing off they decided to do. And Seungmin, unfortunately, didn’t look in your direction the rest of the day.
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
“Does your login work yet?” Seungmin comes in and digs around in the pockets of his jacket.
You’re slumped over on the table, phone in hand, trying not to fall asleep, but you sit up when you see him come through the door, “It does.”
This is the first time you’ve seen him in three days. He was off, then you were off for two days. Now you’re on break, and he just started his shift 15 minutes ago. You’re not sure why he’s in here, and whatever he’s looking for in his pockets doesn’t seem to be there.
“Are you okay?” he asks, and then finally pulls something out. It’s his name tag. He pins it to his shirt, very crookedly, then takes it off and tries again.
“Yeah, just didn’t sleep well,” you squint at it and try to make out the little sticker by his name, but he’s too far away.
“The trick to falling asleep is to try to stay awake.”
“What?” You look from his name tag to his face. His hair is dark again. “Your hair.”
“My hair? Oh! I got tired of being blond.”
You like it dark. It’s not dark, though, not really. It’s a natural brown color, but he obviously did it himself, because you can still see some blond streaks coming through. It makes his skin look warm. Yes, you like it.
“If you try to keep yourself awake in bed, you fall asleep. I was trying to read on my phone last night, and I really wanted to finish the chapter, but I ended up dozing off and dropping my phone on my face.”
It’s so stupid, and so clever. And cute.
Seungmin smirks at you and turns to walk away, and then he turns back. “Does it look okay?”
You stare at him. Does what look okay? His badge? Everything from where you’re sitting looks very good, now that he mentions it. Long legs in his black jeans, a little loose around his tiny frame. There's a rip over one thigh, and you can see some of his skin peeking through. The belt holding them up had to have an extra hole poked in it, because the end of it is long enough to stick out from the dark blue work shirt.
“My hair, I mean.”
“Yeah, I like it.”
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
Seungmin isn’t alone today. His work buddy is here, and you can hear them all the way on the other side of the store. An hour or so later, another one comes in—this one you haven’t met yet, because he’s been gone all week. But as soon as he clocks in and returns to the floor, you hear all three of them laughing and acting up.
You don’t want to have to compete with two friends to get to him, but you will.
A walk by the phone accessory aisle gives you a chance to peek at them. Seungmin is sitting on the floor, legs crossed, arms propping up his long body.
Nobody else in the store seems to bother with making them work, so you don’t either. At least not now, in your first week. It’s hard enough starting a new job without worrying about making enemies—and besides, the minute you laid eyes on his him, making a new friend became your agenda.
---
And of course they all sit in the breakroom together, chatting loudly. As long as one of those two are here, you don’t imagine you’ll have any opportunity to talk to him.
They’re not teenage boys, but you wouldn’t really know it if you could only hear the conversation and not see them. You almost walk in on them, but the noise startles you just as you reach for the door knob. Stopping and listening in is not your smartest decision of the day, but once you stand silently for a few seconds, you can’t move.
The first voice is easily recognizable—it’s Changbin.
“She doesn’t talk much…she hasn’t spoken to me at all. Well, except when she told me not to break anything.”
“Well I haven’t even seen her yet, so I guess she—“
“It’s shitty being new. I’m sure she’s just trying to get used to things.”
Seungmin’s voice is surprisingly quiet.
“Maybe. You’ve worked with her more. And I always see her looking at you…so.”
“So…what?” Seungmin is still quiet but there’s a tiny bit of offense behind it.
“So maybe you’re making it easier for her to adjust.”
“What the hell does that mean?”
"Don't play dumb, Seungie...older woman, authority figure." Changbin laughs,
“Cmon Min…” this time it’s the other one talking, “we know you’re a little bit of a slut sometimes.”
He doesn’t say anything in return, but you hear his chair being pushed back, and then he gets to his feet. It takes you a second to loosen yourself from the spot, but you manage just in time and duck behind the corner.
Seungmin runs right into you when he turns and he nearly knocks you to the ground, but his hand grabs your arm to steady you. “I’m sorry…you alright?” His voice is still quiet. He’s whispering, probably because he doesn’t want them to hear.
“Yeah, I’m good.” You look up at him, and you can’t help but wonder if what they just said about him is true. They were obviously trying to rile him up, but friends are also brutally honest sometimes.
“Are you going on your break? I wouldn’t go in there yet, if you are.”
“I was going to, yes.”
“Changbin and Hyunjin are in there, and they can be a handful sometimes.”
“And you’re not?”
A nervous laugh comes out, “uhm, maybe sometimes. They’re not the best influence on me.”
“I’ll be okay.”
“I can go back and make you a coffee. Actually…”
“Seungmin you don’t have to do that.”
“…I can take you across the street and we can grab some better coffee there.”
“Seungmin,” you widen your eyes at him, because his are huge.
“Please, I want to.”
“Are you flirting with me?” You're not sure why he wants to protect you, but that's clearly what he's doing.
Another nervous laugh. His ears turn red. He stutters, “flirting…um, uh no I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry.”
You hear them before you see them. They open the door and turn the corner before you can react—Seungmin freezes and stares at you. Changbin pushes him into the wall as he walks by, laughs, nods to you, and disappears.
“Guess the breakroom is safe now.”
“Yeah.”
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
Once today, Seungmin caught himself staring at you. He dropped his eyes back down to his phone immediately, heart racing, face red. Part of him wanted you to catch him looking, the other part is still nervous.
You asked him to watch the register specifically to keep him away from his jerk friends, and you tried not to make it too obvious, but he knows. From here, he can see you wandering around, and you can see him. They’re nowhere to be found. It’s quiet.
He won’t tell anyone (well, not them), but he likes when it’s quiet and he can be by himself. And as much as he hates watching the register, he’s glad you put him up here, because it gives him a a chance to read and people watch. Now he’s just waiting for you to walk by.
A text pops up on his phone:
Did you get in trouble Seung?
He ignores it.
She’s looking at you right now…she’s swooning
He tries to ignore him again, but he looks up and around, trying to find you. Seungmin knows Changbin is just being an asshole, but maybe you are looking at him. He’s hoping you are.
“Seungmin?”
He jumps, and nearly drops his phone. “Hi…hi. You’re very quiet.”
“Sorry. I can wear a bell, if that helps.”
“A bell? Like a…a collar?” Seungmin watches as your eyes grow big. He has no idea why he said that, and now you probably think he’s a pervert. “Can we pretend I didn’t say that.” He goes back to his phone only to see more texts—a string of laughing emojis—oh, there she is—she can’t stay away from you.
“Yeah…bell, collar. Makes sense.”
“That was..." he groans, "so stupid. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. At least I know where your mind is now.”
“No, it’s not. I’m not…I mean, I’m just a ditz.”
“You’d look much better in one.”
He squeezes his eyes shut and rubs at his cheeks. “Please don’t hate me.” His eyes pop open again, “I’d what?”
“…look cute wearing a collar.”
“I would?”
You mhm and walk away. Just leave it at that. Were you flirting? Deflecting? Making him feel less stupid?
Seungmin doesn’t feel any less stupid. A comment like that to the wrong person could mean getting fired, and he just said it to his new manager.
But he doesn’t think you’d get him in trouble. He has no reason to think you wouldn’t, but…no, you wouldn’t.
You pop up behind him again, and once again, he jumps. "It's gonna take a lot more than that to make me dislike you."
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
The next time you see him, he’s on his way out. You’re making coffee, he barrels into the breakroom to grab his things. He doesn’t seem like he’s in a great mood, so you keep your attention on your mug.
Seungmin is in his locker and mumbling to himself. And then… “oh, I didn’t know anyone was is here.”
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, just ready to get out of here. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The ghost of a smile is on his lips as he grabs his coat and runs back out the door. You were hoping for one more awkward moment with him before either of you left tonight, but now it’ll have to wait.
But he comes back in a moment later; doesn't speak, doesn't even close the door. Just looks at you.
Seungmin has no idea why he came back in, but he was hoping a good excuse would come to him in the few seconds it took to get here. Now he's just staring stupidly and chewing on his lip.
"Hi," you smile at him and sip your coffee. "Did you want a cup before you catch your bus?"
"How'd you know I take the bus?"
"You shrug, "It's in your availability, silly."
"Oh, right. So you're not just watching me all the time?"
"I didn't say that."
They're heard before they're seen. Changbin and Hyunjin push themselves right through Seungmin on the way into the breakroom.
"Oh, hi boss," Changbin reddens and smirks when he sees you standing there, "Is this a bad time?"
"I have to go, I'll see you tomorrow." Seungmin ducks out quickly before you can even say goodbye.
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
“Don’t forget your coffee,” Hyunjin squeezes Seungmin’s shoulder as he sneaks by him.
“My what? I didn’t bring coffee in with me.”
“It has your name on it.”
He turns and see it’s sitting there. Just a black coffee, but not from here. It’s from the coffee shop across the street. And yes, his name is written neatly on the side.
“Somebody brought you coffee. How sweet.” He smirks. “Have a good shift.”
Seungmin picks it up and takes a sip. It’s still hot, so it was just set here recently. And of course he knows who put it there, because he can be a little stupid sometimes, but not that stupid. He looks at the schedule on his phone to see who he works with, and you’re right in the middle of his shift. You’ll be gone soon, but, at least he didn’t just miss you.
---
“Thank you,” he says, walking up behind you. You have your coffee in one hand, phone in the other.
“For what?” Seungmin doesn’t scare you, his voice is too sweet and soft, even if he does sneak up.
He looks at his cup, then to you.
“You’re welcome. Hopefully you always take it black.”
“Most of the time, yes.”
“Oh, and you’re getting cut today.“
“My shift was cut?”
“In half. I told the boss I needed you here until I was done.”
“You do?”
“No, but I figured half a shift was better than none. And I can give you a ride home, if you want. It’s too cold to wait on the bus.”
Seungmin sips his coffee, because he’s not sure how to respond just yet. His stomach is swirling, though, and he’s trying to conceal his smile. “I don’t want you to get in trouble.”
You turn to face him, “in trouble for what?”
“Favoritism.”
“You think you’re my favorite?”
He nods once, mouth still covered by his cup.
“You’re right, you are.”
---
The rest of the shift drags, and of course it would—you’re putting him in your car and taking him home in a few hours…this will be your first time seeing him outside of work. You try to keep away from Seungmin as much as possible, though, because he’s right. If you’re not careful, everyone will notice the attention you’re starting to give him.
“I’m a bit of a drive from here,” he says when you finally walk down the same aisle as him. “So if you don’t want—“
“If you can handle it on the bus, I’m sure I can handle the drive.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m sure. I don’t mind. You can get the coffee next time, if it makes you feel better.”
“Yes,” he reaches out and looks at the order on the side of your cup. “I can do that.”
・ ⠄⠂⋆ ・ ⠄
It is a long drive. But you don’t mind, because he’s comfortable in the passenger seat; head back, eyes closed. You sneak a glance at him every chance you get, and each time, it looks like he’s sleeping soundly. It’s nice seeing him so close, letting your eyes linger even more than you dared to before. Even in the dark. The shape of his nose and lips, his jawline, his ear. The way his hair falls so nicely, and so effortlessly.
But of course he catches you, looks right back, and smiles.
“You really have such a long ride to and from work every day, Seungmin?” You blush, even though you don’t think he saw you staring.
“Yeah, it’s not bad. I’m used to it.”
“Are you saving for a car?”
“No, I can’t drive.”
“Oh, do you want to learn?”
“I’m not sure, thinking about driving makes me nervous.”
“I don’t want this to come across weird, but…how old are you?”
“I am 23. Am I too young or too old?” He flips down the visor and opens the mirror.
“Are you flirting?”
“You did it first.”
“No, I think you might have flirted first, actually.”
“When?”
“When you tried to keep me out of the breakroom. But I guess that was more for my own sake than anything.”
“I didn’t want you to have to listen to them.” Seungmin sits back again, and you can feel his stare burning into you.
“I heard them.”
“You did? What did you hear?”
“Your friends think you’re fucking me…or that you’re going to. And that you’re a slut.”
He’s quiet, and you hope you haven’t gone too far by actually saying it as crassly as they did.
“I’m not.”
“You’re not a slut?” You smile at him, hoping to break any tension you may have created. Thankfully it seems to work, because Seungmin laughs and covers his eyes. Then shakes his head.
“Or you’re not gonna fuck me?”
You can’t see his reaction, because now you have to watch the road, but he’s quiet again and it’s killing you.
“Take a left up here.” He says.
You decide to avoid eye contact completely until you get him home, and luckily, it’s not much longer. You pull into a spot as close to the door as possible, put it in park, and look at him.
He’s still relaxed, sitting back, eyes wide open and staring at you.
“I’m sorry, that was…uh, maybe too much.“
“Do you wanna come up?”
—-
Of course you do. The last three weeks you’ve spent trying to keep your distance has been torture, but you’re still nervous as you follow him down the hall to his apartment. You’re certain that as soon as you have him where you want him, you’ll snap out of it.
“This one,” he says it quietly, a little timid, maybe. You like it. “It’s probably a little messy.”
“I don’t mind.”
It’s not. Seungmin’s idea of messy is your idea of tidied up. And it’s a cute little apartment. Just looking at the couch—the big striped throw pillows, a few plushies, it doesn’t look like a typical single guys apartment. It’s cute, and it’s comfortable. It’s really cute. The kitchen is small and most of the counter space is taken up by an espresso machine and all of the things that go with it. It’s neat in here, too. Not a dish or cup out of place.
“I like it,” you turn and he’s there, an inch away from you. “Can I see the rest?”
“Of course.”
The rest being his bedroom, and he leads you right in. It’s a little darker in here, but it’s still very him. It’s sweet, a little bit colorful, and very very soft.
The dog plush on top of one of his pillows reminds you of something important, “oh, you're collar. It's at home.”
“My collar? You got me a collar?”
“Yeah, it’s really cute.” You close the gap between you and grab the neck of his shirt, “sit.”
He does. Seungmin sits on the edge of his bed, not breaking eye contact. He leans back and rests on his hands, stretches out his long torso, spreads his knees as you put a leg between them. "What does it look like?"
You run your hand up to his throat and very, very lightly close your hand around it. No need to scare him off immediately. You want to squeeze, but right now you’re perfectly content just touching him "It's red...dark red, and has a gold chain across the front."
"A bell?"
“Of course. A tag, if you want.”
His eyes light up, and his hand wraps around your thigh, thumb moves in gentle circles. It sends a little shiver up your arms. He’s making your head swim, and you need to get a hold of yourself.
"...but you won't be fucking me."
"Huh?" he stops, and his mouth opens a little.
It seems a little bold of him, but he slides both hands up your thighs, up your hips, and hooks his fingers underneath your leggings. You told him he won’t be fucking you, and yet…
He pulls down, gently, until you can kick them to the side...and he looks up at you with pleading eyes. You grab a handful of his pretty hair and put his lips on you, and he kisses your hip so softly, you feel like you could melt.
“No," you push him back a little and straddle him. He’s resting on one elbow, and the other hand is slowly moving up toward your ass. “No, pup…I’m fucking you.”
He mouths the word pup, bites down on his lips, tries to hold back his smile. “Yes, please.”
“Please? Oh, I knew you were the one.”
“I am,” Seungmin falls to his back, and sighs…moans, “I am, noona.” His hips buck up and he looks down at his quickly growing erection. Seungmin was probably already halfway there when he invited you up.
He needs let loose, but first you feel him over his clothes. He’s a handful, and he twitches when your fingers move along his length.
“Please…” he whispers, and his puppy eyes are impossible to deny. Now you want to give him everything. “Take care of me.”
“Oh, Seungmin…” you unbuckle his belt, unbutton, unzip. Very slowly. “I will.”
“Minnie.”
“Hmm?” You run a hand over him again, and the red, needy tip of his cock peeks out from his briefs. “What’d you say?”
“Call me—“ he’s cut short by your lips wrapping around his head. His moan cuts through you, your pussy throbs, and your mouth sucks him in a little more. “…call me Minnie.”
“Minnie,” you moan, licking the pre-cum from his stomach. “Minnie, you’re so hard for me.”
Finally, you pull at the sides of his jeans, slide them down his legs, and throw them to the side. You suck him in as far as you can—he squirms, and his hips jerk up toward your mouth, pushing him in even further. A slap on his thigh settles him, letting you work him at your own pace. You don’t want him anywhere near close yet, because you’re just getting started.
“Are you gonna be good for me?” You look at him, stroke him slowly, take in the rest of his body. His sweatshirt is still on, but pushed up just enough for you to see his stomach.
“Yes, I’ll be good.”
You lean down and kiss his stomach, run your tongue across his belly button, “take that off.”
Seungmin listens and pulls his sweatshirt over his head.
“Look at me.”
He does. He doesn’t break eye contact when you suck him back into your mouth, stroke hard and slow, lick the pre-cum leaking out of him again. His moan is desperate and whiny, just how you like it.
“You’re so pretty, Minnie.” You crawl over him, leaving kisses on his body as you go, and when you stop at his throat, he whines a little and licks his lips. “So sweet.”
You’re making him blush. And you give him no warning when you take his dick and slide it across the wet fold of your cunt. His fingers grip your thighs, and you let him hold on as you push him in. Despite how wet you are, it takes a little work. You slide down slowly until he disappears completely inside of you.
The sound he makes for you is so much better, so much softer than you thought it would be—he’s already begging for more.
You grind your hips into him and stretch yourself around his thickness, get used to how much he’s filling you up. “Minnie,” you moan. “Fuck.”
You could do this until you come. You might. He seems like he's enjoying himself, too.
His hips lift and hit you deeper. You let him, because it feels too good. He mumbles something, but you’re too lost in how he’s making you feel.
When your hands grip the sheets next to him, his wrap around your arms, slide up, and then back down. “You feel so good,” he purrs.
You lift your hips and bounce on him, slowly at first, because he’s already losing it. He has no problem making noise and his moans drown out whatever he’s trying to say…
so good… don’t… stop… please… ah… so tight...I'm gonna...
“Oh no baby, not yet,” you slow down and grind on him again, hitting just the right spot. You lean back and hit it even harder, over and over. Each pound against his hips makes him whine. “Pup, you’re gonna make me come already, you’re such a good boy.”
You do. You look at him as you squeeze him tight, relax, and gently bounce up and down. Seungmin smiles and licks his lips—the only sound is the wet slide of him being covered in your come, and it's all he can keep his eyes on.
He bucks up hard, “I wanna come,” and again, you let him. He’s getting away with far too much, but he feels so good, and he’s too cute, and he’s too gentle. And you can’t wait to make him come. But not yet.
“Soon Minnie, I promise,” you lean forward and groan with the change in angle. “I want you all night.” You place a kiss on his chest, bite and kiss his nipple.
“I can come for you…all night.”
“I bet you can.”
“Kiss me, please.”
“I am…” you laugh and work you way further up.
“Please,” he whispers. “I’ve been wanting to kiss you for weeks.”
“You have?”
“Yeah…mhm, I have.”
“Oh, you…you like me, huh? I mean—”
Seungmin nods, “don’t you like me?”
“I like you very much,” you kiss the corner of his mouth, bite his lip, and then finally press your lips against his. He kisses so eagerly, so hungrily, you almost can’t keep up with his tongue.
He hums and moans down your throat, holds onto your thighs tight enough to leave marks—fucks you, slowly and deeply, rolling his hips so smoothly you can already feel another orgasm rising. You wonder if he even knows how good he is.
“Min—” you just barely get it out around his lips. “Minnie…”
He slows down, but doesn’t stop.
“Easy,” you finally pry him off of you and push him down, hand just below his throat, “take it easy.”
“Sorry,” Seungmin slows his hips down even more, and eventually comes to a stop. His fingers are still digging into your skin, and his chest is heaving.
“No,” you run your fingers up and down his throat, kiss him one more time, and pull him up by the back of his neck until he’s sitting. “Nothing to be sorry for, you’re still a good boy.”
This has been too easy. You weren’t sure how easy it would be to get him underneath you, falling apart, begging for more…but you had a feeling he wanted it just as much as you. What you weren’t completely sure of was how much control he’d give to you.
Luckily, Seungmin is just what you hoped he would be: gentle, pliant, needy for attention, and very horny.
He melts into your touch—your fingers running through his hair, your thumbs running over his ears, still red and warm. You kiss and suck at the skin on his jaw, not caring if you leave marks. And very slowly, you start to move your hips again.
You have his shoulders for leverage now, and your arms are wrapped loosely around him. From this position he could take so much more control, but he doesn’t. He’s content just watching you move on him, looking up every so often until you look back. Every time you do, a smile tugs at his lips, and you can tell he just wants to kiss you again.
Keeping it from him is becoming a challenge. He craves touch and affection, and he might be the most patient, well-behaved fuck you’ve had in a long time, so you will give it to him eventually.
“Seungmin?” His name feels so nice rolling off of your tongue.
He looks at you…flushed, sweat rolling down the bridge of his nose. He answers by sliding his palm up along your spine.
“Seungmin…” you lock your arms around him, pull him in until your foreheads are touching, and start fucking him faster. He holds you steady, pulls you toward him, grinds you on his cock just how he likes it. “Oh god…ah, just like that, pup. Fuck.”
“Yeah?” He leans forward and kisses, “that feels good, hm?”
His words come out so heavy and warm and thick. You can’t stop him, you won’t. He keeps his pace and movements so steady, and it feels so good you could cry.
“Come for me, please. I wanna hear you.”
Seungmin, you whine his name, pathetically, like you’re falling apart, because you are. You moan and your legs start to shake, but he holds you tighter and keeps you moving on him. In and out, back and forth. Right where you need it. Over and over.
You cry out, and he smiles as he works you through it—gradually slowing down as you relax...then he lifts you up and off of him.
“No, I’m not done with you.”
“Just a little break,” he pushes his forehead against yours again, closes in on your lips, but you shake your head.
“You’re not in charge, pup.”
“I’m not, I know. Catch your breath.”
“You feel so good...I wanna keep going.”
“Not yet…” he grabs you around the middle and puts you on your back. “Relax.”
“Minnie…what are you doing?”
The room spins. You close your eyes. The bed shifts as he lays down, and you feel a blanket being pulled up and over you. And then his arm is there, pulling you against his warm body and holding you tight. Seungmin is turning everything upside down. You’re melting into him, and you like it.
“What about you?” You mumble into his chest, “I wanna make you feel good.”
“You are…don’t worry. We’re just catching our breath.”
“Seungmin”
He rubs your back, “hmm?” pulls away just enough to look at you.
“Nothing”
“Nothing? You sure?”
“No. What are we doing? Ooh…you like me.” It’s hard not to smile when you say it out loud again. “Do you, really?”
He laughs and tries to hide his face behind the blanket. “Yeah, sorry. Am I complicating things?”
“You are, but it’s okay.”
“Is it too much? We can keep going, if that’s what you want. You can take over again.”
“Is this what you like, sweetie?” You slide a fingertip along his jaw and over his ear. “Just being like this? Kissing…” you pull him close for one, “touching.”
“Yeah, yeah I do.” Seungmin is excited and relaxed and nervous all at once. You’re a little more than he was expecting, but he’s not going to complain. He wanted this. He still wants it.
Another kiss on his lips, “you just want taken care of, yeah?”
He nods.
“Good,” as soon as you wiggle your hand free, you slide it down his stomach until your fingertips find him, still hard. Taking care of Seungmin is the only thing on your mind now; making him feel good, giving him all the attention and affection he needs. Making sure he comes back for more.
Slow, gentle strokes—a kiss between his eyes, on the tip of his nose. You almost get teeth when you go for the smile on his lips.
His hands are all over you, touching everywhere he can.
You swallow every little moan that passes his lips, every hitch in his breath when he can’t keep from pushing his hips against you. He gets closer, and he wants more, but you just keep kissing him and touching him just enough.
“Can I…”
“Hmm?”
His eyes scan your face, and he pushes you flat on your back again. Before you even think of protesting, he’s on you, lips on your neck, hands on your thighs, hips grinding into yours. He stretches you out and his thumb finds your clit, still swollen and sensitive.
You focus on kissing him and letting him work. It’s not that you can’t give up control—you just usually don’t. Seungmin is making it easy, though. His pace isn’t too much. He’s not smothering you, and he’s not selfishly pounding you into the bed. Your thighs are resting on his lap, hips up, legs curled around him. And every time he slides in, his dick hits right where you need it to. You can breath between his kisses, and you can enjoy every soft movement of his fingers.
“Should’ve let you take over sooner…”
A pretty smile spreads across his face, and you get lost in his eyes; two big black crescent moons, squished by his pink cheeks. You’ve never had someone smile at you like him. Not while they fucked you like this, at least.
“So good...feels so good,” you barely hear him when he breathes it out. "Does it, baby?"
His mouth is on yours before you can answer, wet and messy, teeth biting and pulling at your lips—down to your throat, he bites and sucks and licks at the sweat forming there.
“You like leaving marks, pup?” You ask, but in your head is an echo of him calling you baby.
The mhmm against your neck makes you shiver.
“Should I keep them out for your friends to see?”
Seungmin is up and back in your face… "yes"…forehead against yours, “please.”
He’s getting so close. Whiney shallow breaths, slow deep thrusts.
“Come in me…it’s okay.”
That…and your fingers grabbing for his hair—that’s all he needed. It hits him and he falls onto you. Your hands move to wrap around his waist, and you hold tight as he slows himself and fills you up. All of his weight on you feels so good, though. His sweat and his heat, his heavy breaths moving across your face.
He shifts to kiss your neck again. Softly, though...no marks this time.
The room is quiet for a while, and only sounds are your legs rubbing against the sheets, against his thighs, the wet release of Seungmin’s lips on your skin.
“You okay?” He finally breaks the silence. “Was that okay?”
You nod and knead your fingers into his shoulders, “you have a good touch, pup.”
“I like that," he sighs, pulls himself out, crashes down next to you. But his arm stays draped over your stomach,
“Hmm, what do you like?”
He props himself up and bats his eyes at you, “I like being pup. Do you call…um, do you call other guys cute nicknames?” Seungmin looks away when he finally stutters it out.
“What makes you think there are other guys?”
And now his face turns bright red. “Oh, sorry, you’re just...you seem like you know what you're doing. You know what you want."
“It's alright. There hasn’t been anyone in a while.”
“Just me,” he whispers, and smirks.
“You’re my only pup.”
"Good."
Lips press against your shoulder, his arm squeezes and brings you closer. You can't help but lean into his embrace. Even now, after everything is done, at least for the moment, you can't escape your growing feelings for him. Sex didn't quench the desire—you don't want to get dressed and leave, you don't want to be done and rid of him until the feeling returns.
The guys you usually sleep with are one night stands for a reason, and you never think of them again when they leave. And you certainly don't give them cute nicknames.
"You threw me off a little, though."
"I did? What did I do?" he laughs, and he has no idea how much it cuts through you. "You were amazing."
"You're so sweet."
Seungmin searches your face, but he can’t figure out what’s going on in your head. It seems like you feel the same as he does, or it did, but right now is when it matters. You caught each other, you poured yourselves out all over place. Now what?
"What's wrong?" he gets even closer, and his nose is almost brushing against yours. "Coming down from everything, maybe? Do you want me to get your stuff so you can get dressed?"
"No, I don't wanna leave."
The relief that washes over his face—you can see it. He isn’t trying to be subtle, because Seungmin has already confessed his feelings to you. You kind of did, too. The difference is, you lied, because you weren’t totally, completely, one hundred percent sure until a few minutes ago.
Now he’s looking down at you like he didn’t just give you three orgasms, and like his come isn’t slowly dripping out of you.
“Not yet.”
“You can stay as long as you want.”
“I can take us to work in the morning.”
“You wanna spend the night? Ah, I can make us dinner, and breakfast…unless, maybe that’s too much.”
“No, it's not. But I am wondering something..."
He’s so eager to hear. He rests his chin on you and grins, “what is it?”
“Can we do that again? Can you really come all night?

Pt2 to this post is here 🤗 | AO3 link
When Eddie stumbles out of his room the next day, still half asleep and purposefully headed towards the coffee machine, he notices a crumpled piece of paper on the table. He frowns when he sees it's the note he tossed in the trash a day earlier. It's folded open again, and there's a mysterious, slightly gross looking stain on it, but the number is still clearly readable.
He takes a good few seconds to stare at the digits, written neatly with a blue ballpoint, as if the guy was doing his very best to make sure that none of the numbers would be unreadable. He can't believe that Wayne is invested enough in this to get the note out of the trash for Eddie, even though Eddie already made more than clear how utterly uninterested he is in this Steve person. He shrugs, crumples the note back up again, and tosses it back into the trash.
It goes on like that for a while: every time Eddie wakes up or gets back home, the number is staring at him from the table, only to be crumpled in Eddie's fist again and again and again. Neither Wayne nor Eddie say anything about it; it becomes a tacid game of who can be the most stubborn, and they both know that both of them can keep that up for a very long time. Eddie knows he could just tear it up, or burn it, or poetically bury it at the base of a tree at the edge of the woods outside the trailer. But something's stopping him. It isn't the guy, or even the idea of the guy – he's sure as hell that this Steve wouldn't be for him at all. No, it's the memory of the look on Wayne's face after he gave Eddie the number, all excited and proud of himself. It's the knowledge of how immensely lucky he is to have an uncle like that, who supports him and loves him exactly the way he is, even actively wants him to be happy with another man. It's the flash of disappointment that crossed Wayne's face that first time Eddie made a whole show of throwing the note away. That's the reason he eventually, after almost a whole week of moving the note from trashcan to table and back again, finds himself standing at the phone with the piece of paper in his hand. The note has become truly disgusting by now, with all kinds of unrecognizable smudges on it, but thanks to Steve's clear handwriting, Eddie can still read all the digits.
It doesn't take long before 'Steve Harrington' picks up the horn on the other side.
'Hey, um, this is Eddie,' Eddie says, suddenly feeling awkward about the whole thing and wondering if he should've thought through what he was about to say to Steve. 'You met my uncle at a baseball game, last weekend?'
'Oh!' Steve sounds surprised. 'Eddie! Yeah, yes I did – Wayne, right?'
'Hmhm.'
'I didn't really expect a call anymore, to be honest,' Steve says.
'Yeah, sorry 'bout that,' says Eddie. 'Listen, to be honest, I'm not calling because I actually think this is gonna be something. From what I heard – not to sound like a dick or anything, I'm sure you're perfectly nice and all that – you just, totally don't sound like my type, you know? But my uncle won't drop it, and it'd probably make my life a whole lot easier if I could just prove to him that not every random queer guy he meets is a good match for me, so... Do you wanna meet up for coffee sometime? We can establish what a terrible match we are, I'll pay for your drinks, and then we can move on with our lives without any gnawing guilt or “what if”s playing around in our minds, and we'll never have to think about each other again. How does that sound?'
'Um...' There's a pause of a couple of seconds on the other side of the line, then a small sigh. 'I guess the free coffee sounds good?' It sounds more like a question than a statement, and suddenly, Eddie feels a bit stupid about the whole thing.
'I'm sorry,' he blurts out. 'I totally get it if it's not really what you expected of this. You met my uncle, and I know he's pretty awesome, and, like, wildly attractive and stuff, but if you expect me to be like him – that's not at all what I'm like, you know. So it'll probably be good for both of us to get that out of the way. To establish that we are not at all attracted to each other and happily move on.'
'Yeah, yeah, sure,' says Steve. 'Sounds good. I can't wait to find out what a terrible match you are for me.'
Eddie is relieved to hear the guy softly chuckling.
Pt3 Seriously the response to this silly lil AU has been sooo lovely, thank all of you so much for your kind words and hilarious tags, it made my day 🥹 Altogether the whole thing will probably get to +/-7 parts, so if you feel like that’s a bit much to keep following, please don’t feel awkward about telling me you’d like to be removed from the taglist, I don't wanna spam anyone!

Summary: (what the ask says) The recoms are having a hard time adapting to their new bodies. Many overcome it by excessive sleeping. But sleep doesn't help Quaritch or Lyle. Both need something else and you're there to help them.

The last few days had been tough for all the recoms including you.
Everyone was and still is getting used to their new Avatar bodies and it’s more difficult than expected.
Every time you wake up, there is a small hope inside all of the recoms that the hands that come to rub at the eyes are no longer blue. But every time, the body disappoints.
Sleeping has become the only escape from this living nightmare. It was the only way any of you could cope with the Avatar. Or at least, that’s what you thought…
Our mission was still being planned so there wasn’t much to do at this time. It was so overwhelming to the mind that the body was so different. It made many of us feel constantly tired. That’s why you would often see us sitting or leaning against something with our head resting on our arms, fast asleep. I had passed out on the couch in our so-called ‘break room’ about an hour ago. The couch was obviously big for a human but even to me as a recom, it was large. There had most likely been some mistake in measuring. Perhaps they assumed the Avatars were larger. Now, about 3 Avatars could lie comfortably on it.
I’m fast asleep, laying on the softly woven sofa which smells of freshly washed clothes. My head is resting on my outstretched arms in front of me because I’m laying on my stomach. The tail which is one of the most difficult things to control is finally laying still, draping over my bare legs. Loose shorts cover my lower half and are barely visible under the large t-shirt I have over my torso. Soft breaths leave my sensitive nose in a slow rhythm, displaying my calm and relaxed state. I’m not in a deep sleep, it’s light but all and any rest help.
My mind is peacefully quiet for once. No buzzing thoughts have managed to keep me awake this time. In the background, my now bigger ears can hear the soft churring of the coffee machine rebooting itself. The sound acts as a subliminal for me, letting me drift into relaxation.
I hear a light creaking of either the floor behind me or the door to the room. My ears tilt in the direction of the noise but it doesn’t alarm my subconscious self so I manage to stay asleep.
Another noise hints to a faint whisper of someone’s voice but I don’t properly even comprehend that because it’s muffled by the coffee machine.
Following the minimally quiet commotions is silence. Nothing happens for a while, letting me dose off into deeper sleep.
Within the next minute, the top couch cushion’s soft material dips as someone’s weight is put on it. My body picks up on the movements, knowing I cannot be imagining it this time. They don’t wake me, but they stop me from completely sleeping like a log.
“Not a noise.” I hear someone hush. It sounds like an order and the voice sounds vaguely familiar but there’s no reason to be afraid. It could be in my dream.
There is some shuffling around me and chilly goosebumps rise on my skin but I’m still fast asleep. No pain is being inflicted on my body that would cause me to frantically awake.
“Control yourself, otherwise I won’t let ya’ near ‘er.” Another order voiced itself. This time it was above and behind me.
“Yes, sir.”
Hm. What odd dreams.
My body is gently moved and once what feels like hands are no longer holding my hips, my lower half seems to be resting slightly higher and at a different angle than before.
My tail is no longer resting over my legs but it’s being held up in the air. Yet my body is too exhausted to wake me up.
What feels like a few seconds have been many minutes and I’ve grown used to the touches. They didn’t hurt so why worry? But I must be dreaming of them.
Then, another weird feeling is perceived by my body. It’s coming from a sensitive region and I can feel it all.
This time, my body wakes up, making my eyes flutter open with a huff of air leaving my nose. I’m so tired but this sensation and the handling being inflicted on my body have me raising my head to see what’s happening.
The next inhale of air makes me realise I can no longer smell the fresh washing detergent of the couch nor can I hear the buzzing coffee machine. Instead, I smell a thick musk which fills my nostrils and makes my pupils blow wide. Right above me, I can hear heavy breathing and in front of me a lightly raspy chuckle. My senses return to me after my nap and now I can feel a weight on me. The heavy breathing fans against the top of my head and my body is nudged forwards every few seconds.
I swiftly turn my head to the side because all this feels foreign to me. My eyes go wide when I see what is happening. It takes me a while to understand who and what is happening, but once the realisation hits me, a gasp escapes my lips.
I can see and feel my Colonel on top of me. He has a hand around the back of my neck, keeping me held down against the couch cushions while the other is bent, having him lean on his forearm for weight support. Both my legs have been opened more than I remember. My tail has been moved to the side and it’s Quaritch’s toned hips snapping forwards and against me every few seconds that make me rock back and forth.
Only once I see what he’s doing do I start to properly feel it. My superior officer is buried balls deep inside my pussy and his relentless thrusts cause me to cry out between clenched teeth.
“Shhh… stay quiet.” the Colonel coos into my ear through heavy pants. His hot breath makes a shiver run up my spine which only now makes me realise that I have been stripped bare.
A large hand gently grasps my jaw, making me look forwards. My eyes meet Lyle’s and I notice he, just like Quaitch and me, is naked too. He’s smirking down at my flushed face of embarrassment.
My ears are pinned back and my eyes begin to tear up. This was even more overwhelming than just waking up to a blue body.
“You’re doin’ real good, Buttercup.” Lyle praised me, running his thumb over my warm cheek with a smile.
“Sleep doesn’t do it for us, sweet’eart.” Quaritch mutters through heavy breaths. His voice is raspy and sounds strained.
“Relax.” he breathes out into my ear. “Let it happen, darlin’.”
I whine when his next thrust causes his abdomen to slap against my ass. My skin will turn red if he continues like that.
“You gonna be good?” he asks, slowing down his movements while he waits for my answer.
I’m not sure about my answer. My eyes clench closed in frustration and I whimper.
“I’ll reward your behaviour, sweet’eart. C’mon.” Quaritch urges me, wanting me to agree so he can focus on his pleasure again.
I sniffle and then nod my head. “Yes-” I faintly whisper while gasping for air.
Behind me, Quaritch purrs in approval.
“Good girl.” he whispers, pressing his lips to the side of my neck. His harsh thrusts resume and tears form in my eyes.
Lyle steals back my attention, angling my head to face his crotch. I watch him with wide eyes, still feeling confused as to why this is happening while he strokes himself a few times.
Perhaps they had so much built-up frustration in them from the change of body that they needed a different kind of release.
Lyle brought the tip of his throbbing cock to my lips, placing it on them.
“Open up, baby.” He says, gently pulling my jaw down. I listen to him while fighting back the forming tears.
I open my mouth, slightly sticking my flattened tongue out for him. A small grin forms on his face as he slowly pushes himself into my mouth. I can only take half of him before he reaches the back of my throat.
“Let me use you, Buttercup. I promise te’ make it up to ya’ later.” he said and I caught the hint of desperation in his voice. I wasn’t going to fight or beg them for anything, I was too tired for that. So I just listened and gave Lyle a faint nod of my head.
He caresses my cheek in praise before pulling out. Both his hands are now placed on the back of my head. I can only imagine what is to come.
Once again he starts to push his hips forward, driving his dick further into my mouth than before. His tip brushes against the back of my mouth before diving deeper into my throat.
I hold onto the side of the couch pillow for dear life, tightly grasping the cushion. My tightly screwed-closed eyes now have tears spilling from them and both men can hear my muffled chokes and coughs as I fight back gags.
“Don’t cry, baby.” Quaritch coos and his voice is oddly comforting. But just through those few words I manage to hear how he says them through a small grin. Did my crying turn him on?
In the next second, he leans forward and his tongue licks away one of the hot tears flowing down my cheek. Lyle wipes another away with his thumb, just momentarily ripping his gaze from my lips.
With tears or not, I’m baring through it all. Both of them are my superiors and I do want to be good for them. No matter how sick and twisted the context of it is. I am eager to please them both.
That’s why I was a crying mess right now, with a reddened and stained face of silent tears. Perhaps I’m being pushed to my limit, but I don’t care.
Lyle is holding my head in place, making me take all of him and deepthroat his cock. Quaritch is switching between rhythms but he doesn’t let his sharp thrusts falter once. His canines are tracing the skin of my neck, dangerously threatening to draw blood.
I cry out when his movements manage to speed up even more. His thrusts finally grow sloppy and desperate, telling me he is close to his release. The Colonel’s heavy breathing is replaced by grunts and growls. All he can think of is the pleasure he feels.
Lyle has his head thrown back in bliss, seeming to slowly come undone in front of me. All his muscles are flexed as he too nears his high.
“Fuck, darlin’. Ya’ feel so good.” Quaritch snarled into my ear. “Such a good girl. Gonna cum all over you.”
My watery eyes close again at his words. I can feel his dick twitch and suddenly, Quaritch swiftly pulls out.
Lyle’s hips stutter and he pushes himself in deeper than before one last time. My nose scrunches against the skin of his abdomen. That’s how deep inside my mouth he is. His body trembles and suddenly I feel him shoot his load of thick white ropes of cum down my throat. Lyle is cursing in pleasure, muttering something along with my name. He is so far down my throat, I’m forced to reflexively swallow everything he’s giving me. Swallowing around him makes my throat squeeze around his shaft, making Lyle moan and spurt a little more out.
Quaritch quickly fists himself while holding my tail up with his other hand and I feel his load shoot all over my ass. It's a lot and it's starting to drip down and between my cheeks, over my abused pussy.
“Fuckin hell’ look at you.” the Colonel muses, admiring the mess he made.
Lyle is panting hard, recovering from his orgasm. His eyes meet my pleading ones and luckily he takes pity on me, gently pulling out so that I can breathe normally again. I let out a choking cough before swallowing more cum-stained saliva. He didn’t taste bad. Somewhere deep inside me, I enjoyed it all.
Both men are more merciful now and even surprisingly affectionate. Lyle is ordered to get a cloth which Quaritch uses to clean me up with before re-dressing me. They put their own clothes on now too.
I expected both of them to leave me alone after this. I’m still tired. Even more so now. My body is exhausted.
They both got what they wanted, why stay?
I assume they’re staying because they care for me. I know all the recoms do care for one another, so at least I was being given aftercare. God, do I need it. Quaritch lay down next to me, pulling my head onto his chest and whispering how well I did and that he will repay me some time. Lyle places himself behind me, loosely draping an arm over my waist. My tears have dried but I luckily forgot about all the discomfort with the way I was being gently cradled and held right now.
Everyone has their own way of coping. If this is theirs then I can put up with that. Especially when I’m being treated like this afterwards.

Coffee
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song inspiration: Coffee Breath by Sofia Mills)
“We have one already?” Nanami said.
“But this one is different.”
“Our coffee pot makes a bunch of coffee. Why this?”
“It makes espresso.” Nanami was quiet and put in a bunch of pros and cons in his head. You held his hand and placed your head on his shoulder. “Please! It’ll save money because I won’t have to buy eight dollar lattes!” Nanami sighed. It was a good reason and you convinced him more with puppy dog eyes that he could never resist.
“Alright,” he said. “Go pick one.” He watched your smile grow.
And when you two arrived home, you happily set up the new coffee/espresso maker next to the coffee pot. Nanami watched and smiled. He loves doing anything to make you happy. Once you finished setting up, you sat on the couch next to him and went on the website.
“What are you doing now?” he asked curiously.
“Ordering the espresso. We need to go to the store so I could buy flavored syrups and more milk for my lattes,” you said.
“Can we go tomorrow? We should’ve just gotten it before we arrived home.”
“I forgot.” Nanami shook his head at your sheepish smile. He pulled you in closer and looked at your phone screen.
“That looks good,” he said. “Caramel.” You added it to the cart. “Really? An intense one? I thought you hate bitter.”
“It won’t be after I add all the sugar and milk in it.”
“So when are they coming in?” Nanami asked.
“It says sometime this week,” you said, reading the notification. “That’s really quick. Do you want some coffee, Kento?”
“Sweetheart, it’s four in the afternoon. You really need coffee?”
“I’m gonna need it for the grocery store.” Before you could add coffee grinds to the filter, Nanami grabbed you by the waist. “Kento!”
“Sweetheart, don’t worry about it right now. I promise you’ll get your things before the espresso comes in.” He leaned in and kissed your pouty lips.
“Sorry, I’m just too excited.” Nanami lightly chuckled.
“I know. It’s very endearing on you.” You gave him a bright smile and kissed his lips. “Now, you keep bugging me all week about this new show you found.”
“I totally forgot about that! Kento, it’s so funny!” And you grabbed his wrist, excitedly dragging him to the couch.
You stirred in bed. You swore you could smell coffee in your dream. The idea of your new coffee machine made you so excited. When you woke up, Nanami’s side of the bed was empty. But with the door slightly ajar, you could hear the news from the TV. And the smell of coffee…it smelt different. You got up as you rubbed your tired eyes. When you left the bedroom and headed to the kitchen, you watched Nanami place your coffee mug on the counter. He smiled when he saw you.
“The espresso came, sweetheart,” he announced. Your eyes widened.
“Already?!” you exclaimed. Nanami nodded his head. “Wait, did you make one?” Nanami nodded to your mug.
“I went to the store,” he said. He opened the cabinet, where it used to contain the spices, were various syrup flavors. “I bought one of each. Except the vanilla and caramel. I bought three of each. And I have a project for you.”
“Which is?”
“I bought a new spice rack since the syrups are taking over. And I bought those empty spice containers with the cute labels that you love showing me on Pinterest.” You hugged him tightly and kissed him.
“Thank you, Kento.”
“You’re welcome, sweetheart. Go try your latte.”
“Okay!” You skipped over to your mug. You smiled. He added whipped cream on the top with sprinkles of cinnamon. You took a sip and smiled. “Mmm that’s delicious.” Nanami walked over to you. You took another a sip and before you swallowed it, Nanami passionately kissed you. He pulled away and licked his lips.
“Very tasty,” he said with a wink.

Companion piece to Broken Buttons (feat: Harmon Rabb)- Beau discovers the real reason you broke things off with him.
Tumblr media
It’s after ten when Beau makes it to your apartment in Washington. Rabb had managed to secure the two of them places on a transport plane that had been stopping to refuel in San Diego.
It had taken five hours to get here and the entire time all Beau could thing about was what Rabb had told him. He replays the series of events over in his head, each video getting worse and worse until he wants to wrap his hands around the General’s throat and choke him to death.
When you open the door he can tell that you’ve been drinking, your eyes are glassy and you still have the half glass of white wine clasped in your hand.
“It’s becoming a problem.” Rabb had hold him on the way over. “The suspension has knocked her completely off kilter, I don’t think she knows how to process what happened to her.”
You’re trying to escape it, Beau understands that. You’re used to compartmentalising, everything goes into a nice little box which you tape shut and store God knows where in your head. This event it’s triggered something inside your brain and now all the boxes are coming apart, their contents spilling out into your life.
“Beau.” You say, your voice barely above a whisper, the apartment is shrouded in darkness behind you, the street light the only form of illumination.
“Ally.” He says quietly because he can already feel you slipping away. “Baby, let me in.”
He sees the indecision in you, part of you wants to close the door, block him out, block all of it out but you don’t. Instead you open it wider, allowing him access to the apartment. He flicks on the light and you wince against the harshness of it.
It’s a mess, one of the worst he’s seen because you, you like things neat and tidy. Everything has it’s place. There’s dishes piling up in the sink, the recycling is full of wine bottles and there’s unwashed laundry piled up on the floor outside the machine. If there was ever a sign you aren’t coping this is it.
You don’t say anything, instead you head into the bedroom leaving the door open behind you. He sets his duffle bag down before following you, he finds you sitting on the edge of an unmade bed and his gaze strays to the three empty wine glasses sitting on the nightstand.
You won’t look at him, you play instead with the bracelet on your wrist, the one he’d brought back from Germany.
“Will you…” You trail off before starting again. “Will you hold me?”
“Of course.” He says softly before he wraps his arms around you and cradles you close. You press your face into the curve of his throat and for the first time in months you allow yourself to trust someone to let them in.
“He raped me Beau.” You whisper into the fabric of his shirt. “General Klein, he raped me.”

All Farms…
Javier Peña
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Javier has to decide what to do with the ranch
Warnings/Tags: grief, loss, hurt (no comfort?), ranch/farm used interchangeably here.
Notes: I started this on Christmas after walking my grandparents farm which happens to be the same farm I lived on for the first 7 years of my life. My grandparents are getting older which has sparked a lot of conversation with what will happen to the farm when they're gone. Fast forward to now, I'm currently processing a lot of feelings this Easter weekend. I lost my step dad last year. He was a farmer too. After his cancer diagnosis, all of us kids (there are ALOT of us) came home for Easter. It was the last time I saw him look like himself and the last time we were all together before he died. In my processing, I started working on this piece again. It's one of those things I need to put out into the world for me. I hope for anyone else going through something similar, it brings you comfort or makes you feel not quite so alone.
Peep the cow picture. I took that one myself at Christmas :)

All farms have a graveyard. One of lost memories and stories. Typically along a ridge or tree line, piled-up equipment that was never sold or broken beyond repair sits in overgrown piles and sunken earth. The old family car. The beat-up sports car or pickup truck each son or sometimes daughter inevitably thought they could fix only to spend hundreds of fruitless hours with one glory ride before it went haywire. Scrap metal torn from barn roofs pile up. Every tire imaginable is half buried in the earth. No farmer dares to clean out the graveyard. The moment you do, you’ll find use or need for the items thrown out.
The Peńa’s graveyard sits between scattered trees at the bottom of the hill. Javier rarely makes his way to that side of the farm. They don’t use that space for cattle since his dad downsized the herd. He pretends there’s no reason for it, but it’s more than just broken down cars and scrap piles to Javier. It’s a ghost town of memories.
There’s his mom’s ‘62 Ford. The one she drove his whole childhood. The vehicle that took them across town, to Sunday services, and hosted their many road trips. It’s where his Mom feels most tangible, her soft voice playing in his head singing to the radio.
His first truck. The one he’d spent months fixing up, he kissed Sally Jones on a Saturday night and done much more with Vanessa Reyes. He’s proposed to Lorraine in that truck, driven past the church in it too.
Chucho’s first American Harvester sits further back. His dad is so proud of that machine… or he was.
The ache grows in Javier’s chest as he stands at the edge of the graveyard. He begged Chucho for years to clean this up. His dad always waved him off, stating that he would get to it someday. Except, Chucho didn’t make it to someday, and now it is Javier’s responsibility.
His fingers twitch, desperate for the feel of a cigarette between them. Nicorette gum sits in his breast pocket instead. He’s working to quit again, picking the worst damn time to do it, but that’s life.
He should probably bring the tractor down to pull everything out. It’s overwhelming with no good place to start. Digging around down there will only dig up the memories. Javier can’t deal with the memories right now, so he leaves the project for another day. He only needs to clean it up if he decides to sell the ranch.
The house is quiet when he walks through the door. Javier is used to the subtle sounds of life- the coffee pot going, the tv running on low, Chucho’s boots on the linoleum, but it never comes. It won’t ever come again.
Javier kicks off his boots, lining them right next to his dad’s. He hasn’t moved them. He’s not sure he will.
He heads for the back of the house toward his room but stops at his Dad’s door. It’s shut tight as he places a hand on the wood. Javier hasn’t gone in there since picking out clothes. It’s a strange thing to pick out clothes for a dead man. How does one pick out what someone will wear for the rest of eternity?
His hand lands on the knob, and it gives way with a squeak. The same squeak that used to echo down the hall, waking Javier up before the sun to let him know it was time for chores. Javier is flooded with the comforting scent of his father. It envelopes him, pulling tears into his eyes immediately. The bed is fixed just as Chucho had left it before he went out and started the chores just as he always did. Except that day, almost a month ago now, Chucho Peña didn’t return to the house.
He collapsed in the field. He was already gone when Javier found him. He died alone and that hurt almost as much as the fact that he was gone.
A thin layer of dust covers the surfaces in the room. He should clean it, but would it lose its smell then? In here, Javier feels surrounded by his father. The closest he can get to him. His room, the one he shared with Javier’s mother, is perfectly preserved.
Javier dares to ease onto the bed and look at the world from Chucho’s perspective every day as he woke up. On the dresser, there’s a photo of his parents when they first started dating, and one from Javier’s high school graduation. On the bedside table, there’s a book with a bookmark halfway through, a picture from his parent’s wedding day, and another of Chucho on the tractor with Javier in his lap. He couldn’t have been older than two at the time. Javier traces it with his finger, wishes he could remember that moment, wishes he could go back in time and relive it all, even the bad days, and treasure it all, ask his dad more questions, called him more often.
Javier lays down on his parents' bed. Chucho’s scent is thicker here with Javier’s head on his pillow. Big, hot tears fall from the corners of his eyes dampening the pillow. He rests his hands over his chest, letting his eyes close. Javier can hear his voice now, his laughter, catches a hint of his mother’s as well. It’s Javier’s job to carry on their legacy.
All farms have a graveyard. One of lost memories and stories. No farmer dares to clean out the graveyard. When a tractor kicks the dust or that farm use pickup can only be stripped for parts, Javier follows in his father’s footsteps. He lays them to rest between scattered trees at the bottom of the hill.

x
Today is not your best day. Things started going wrong the second you woke up. You slept through your phone alarms, there was no hot water for your shower, your coffee machine exploded on you which caused you to go change, and the bus was late to pick you up. You don’t own a car since you live so close to work that you can take the bus.
All of this is the reason why you have been chewing on your nails since the moment you got onto the bus, and why your hair is a tangled mess from you pulling on it. Not to mention you didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, so your eyes are a bit red.
You keep your head down when you walk into the bullpen. The B Team is in the air today, so you have a day of catching up on paperwork. If you’re lucky, you don’t have to talk to anyone. Everyone is in the break room getting their daily dose of caffeine so you quickly hide at your desk and pretend to be super busy so they won’t bother you.
When you log into your computer, a calendar notification pops up on the top right of the screen. When you read it, your blood instantly turns to ice. A chill runs down your spine as fear seeps into your skin. Just breathe, Y/N. You’re going to be okay. In… Out… You can’t seem to tear your eyes away from the notification so you wait until it disappears. It’s gone but the fear is still there.
There’s nothing to be scared of. No one dies from having their blood taken. A medical professional is going to be there the entire time. They know what they’re doing. They do it every day to millions of people. You’re being irrational. Then why are your palms sweaty, your heart racing, and your entire body shivering? Even the thought of being anywhere near needles makes your blood run cold. You hate needles. You hate what they look like. You hate the thought of one. You hate one making contact with your skin.
Even as a child, needles scared the shit out of you. You’d watch horror movies that involve them which would scare the shit out of you. People in those movies would always misuse them for nefarious purposes, and your little brain thought that’s what people actually did in real life. Nothing traumatic happened to you involving needles but something doesn’t have to be traumatic for you to fear it.
This is one of those times.
Emily walks in with two coffees in her hand; one for you and one for her. It doesn’t matter if you’ve made one for yourself in the break room because she always has the better kind. She sees you at your desk and hops over with a smile on her face.
“I have a present for you,” she sings. When you don’t turn to face her, her smile is lost. She sets both coffees on her desk and looks at you to see just how much of a mess you are. “What’s wrong? Are you okay?” All you can do is shake your head. “Would you like to go somewhere more private?” You nod. “Come on.”
She takes your hand and notices how clammy it is. You’re nervous about something and she is going to be there for whatever it is. She takes you to an empty office and closes the door to ensure privacy. If this were anyone else, you wouldn’t think about spilling but this is Emily. You have a massive crush on her and she is your biggest supporter in everything you do.
“I have an appointment today after work,” you whisper and look down. “I’m scared.”
“Of what?” she asks kindly.
“I have to get my blood drawn. I’m terrified of needles. I don’t know why I am. All I know is that I even think about them and my whole body freezes. I know it’s childish,” you sigh.
Emily gently grabs your chin and lifts it so you’re looking up at her.
“No fear is childish. If it scares you, then it’s real. It’s okay to be scared of needles. It’s not an uncommon fear.”
“But I don’t have a legitimate reason to be scared of them. I wasn’t traumatized or anything. I’m just scared of them.”
“That doesn’t matter. A fear is a fear and it’s valid because it affects you.”
“I don’t want to go to the doctor’s alone.”
“Who says you have to be alone?” she grins and sits next to you.
“You’d come with me?”
“I’d go with you to the end of the world if you asked me to. I’m going to be right there next to you,” she grabs your hand, “holding your hand.”
“Thank you,” you whisper.
“Anything for you. I mean it,” she smiles back.

hiii could i pls request something w modern prince nikolai?? i’m dying to know how they get back together😭
YES
Modern Nikolai part 3 I think!
Tumblr media
The cafe is quiet at opening hours, but then again it always is now that it’s public knowledge that Nikolai avoids your former workplace.
The multitudes of ‘princess-hopefuls’—a term Oliver coined that refers to the women who think a casual run-in with Prince Nikolai could be the beginning of their own royal love story—have long since stopped haunting the corners of the coffee-scented establishment, the gentle hum of an espresso machine and the soft music in the background replacing excited whispers and gossiping.
That’s why when Nikolai, clad in a baseball cap and a sweatshirt from the university he graduated, sits across from you, the elderly patrons and younger customers that tend to mind their own business barely bat an eye. Only the currently working barista, a girl named Margery who replaced your own position, lifts her eyebrows briefly before going back to her work, the prince a minor distraction in her routine of grinding coffee beans and steaming milk.
“Y/N.” He starts immediately, his familiar voice raw and soft as he sits across from you. Your fingers, already wrapped tightly around a warm cappuccino, tighten further. “You look…I mean, I missed you. You..”
When you allow yourself to meet those sad blue eyes, so vivid even under the slight shadow of his visor, a feeling of longing overtakes you. You still love him. Of course you do. But he hurt you.
“Switzerland.” You say, ignoring his statement as you move forward. “Oliver invited me.”
He’s quiet for a second. His jaw twitches—the only sign of his irritation.
“He told me.”
“And?” You ask. You’ve always been able to read him like a book. Seeing him become slightly annoyed by his brother’s actions is only another reason on your rapidly growing list as to why you shouldn’t go. “You don’t want me there. I don’t want to be there. Olly—“
“I do want you there. Christ, Y/N.” His hand darts out to touch yours upon instinct before he squeezes his eyes shut, clearly frustrated with himself as he tucks his hands together under the table, safe in his lap. It’s too late though—his warm fingers have already brushed your knuckles and now you want to hold his hand again. God, you feel like a Victorian man seeing an ankle after a dry spell. “I’m sorry. I—Jenna misses you. Olly won’t stop talking about how excited he is for you to come. My mother—” Nikolai pauses. “My mother would be…absolutely relieved to see you.”
“Your mother, lied to me.” You say, eyebrows furrowed as you let go of your cup and tuck your own hands into your lap as well, mirroring his actions. Two sides of a coin, the two of you are. Two halves of one soul. Inseparable. Irreplaceable. “And Jenna, and Olly. And you.” Your voice catches and you both seem to tense at the same time. “You lied to me. You said you loved me but you—”
Oh shit, your voice is doing that thing where it sounds a bit croaky before you start crying.
Not here. Not here.
“Y/N,” Nikolai murmurs, reaching out again. His jaw is clenched tight as he splays his fingers, laying himself bare for you if you want him. “I’m sorry. For everything for—“ he squeezes his eyes shut. “I never should have lied to you. I know that. But I love you, okay? That’s real. I’m real.” When you don’t reply, only watch him with misty eyes, he swallows roughly. “I love you.”
Hesitantly, you take his hand. It sends a jolt through your body, the both of you taking in a slight inhale.
“I’ll come.” You say, trying not to tense when his fingers curl instantly around your own, his thumb tracing the back of your hand. His blue eyes are soft and full of relief.
“Thank you.” Nikolai tightens his fingers on yours for a moment, his voice tight. He clears his throat when you tug away, a forced, slightly nervous smirk on his mouth as he relaxes into his seat. “So…matching boards this year?”
You snort, remembering his awful attempts at teaching you to snowboard a year or so ago during a similar trip.
“You have to stand up.” Nikolai laughs, lifting the visor of his helmet as you crouch in the snow, gripping the board below you for dear life. “It’s not a sled.”
“It’s whatever I say it is.” You grumble, raising an eyebrow at the prince. He reaches down and, as if you weigh nothing, scoops you up under the arms and sets you down in the powdery snow.
“You didn’t even bother to strap in.” He scolds as you beam, reaching up to wrap your arms around his neck. Nikolai’s helmet taps yours in a semblance of a kiss before he’s guiding you towards the warmth of the resort, the prospect of hot chocolate and fireplaces raising your spirits.
You smile involuntarily at the memory and shrug, fidgeting with the gold bracelet on your wrist. The both of you seem to realize it’s one he got you at the same time but, thankfully, he doesn’t comment. Pride still lingers in his tone when he speaks, though.
“I’ll pick you up for the airport, then?” Nikolai says, tilting his head to the side in that boyish way of his.
You bite your lip, worried you’ll regret this, but nod.
WELLLL WHAT COULD HAPPEN ON THIS TEIP?

discography | chapt. 1
Tumblr media
I NEED U — k. seokjin
in which bangtan writes their music about you, all 7 chasing you until someone steals your heart.
chapter summary: the group is preparing to launch the first part of their next musical project; the most beautiful moment in life, pt. 1. however, seokjin is dedicated to making one of the songs about you, hoping you’ll understand him and be his once again.
no warnings this chapter !! kind of an angsty vibe but dw girl the smut is coming.
previous chapter here (this is the first chapter stupid)
Tumblr media
“hyung? no way, look namjoon he’s sleeping at the desk.”
hoseok and namjoon opened to door to seokjins dorm to find him asleep at his desk, pen discarded onto the floor and drool falling down onto his notebook. it was 1am, it’s not unusual for the guys to be up this late, especially with a comeback on the horizon, but seokjin wasn’t the type to stress himself out as much as the others about lyrics and song production.
“holy shit, he’s really going through it with this girl.” namjoon read over the lyrics he was writing:
“i need you girl,
why do i need you even though i know i’m going to get hurt?
you’re beautiful, too cold.
i need you girl.
just say you wanna breakup instead, that would be better
girl, say it wasn’t love
i don’t have that kind of courage
give me one last percent
so that i won’t go back anymore”
just by skimming the bridge, namjoon knew they had to do something with this.
two nights later, jimin held a piece of paper with that same bridge on it. he belted the final verse for the sixteenth time before looking back to namjoon from the recording booth window.
“better now?”
“that’s what i’m telling you jimin, you needed more emotion. it’s perfect.”
feeling relieved, he immediately dropped his headphones, walking straight from the booth to the studio door.
“goodnight hyung, don’t overwork yourself again.”
namjoon hummed in reply, knowing that’s exactly what he was planning to do.
jimin bumped into his oldest member while taking the elevator up to his dorm. it’s still unusual for jin to be up this late, he knew what was on his mind.
in the unusually silent elevator, jimin spoke up quietly.
“are you okay?”
seokjin turned to look jimin in the eyes, nodding rapidly before resuming his thoughts.
he wasn’t in any way, how could you leave him like this? did he even have a reason to be so fucking pissed?
his mind ran wild, not even paying attention to jimins conversation while he pictured you in all your glory.
your deep eyes that lead straight to your once our soul, everything about you, it was all his. why aren’t you in his dorm again? oh, right.
he shook his head as to not think of you anymore, you who was hundreds of miles away, fast asleep in a college dorm room.
Tumblr media
if only he knew you weren’t. if only he knew you were still thinking of him, of the two of you. if this was any normal night, you would’ve been wide awake, head on seokjin’s chest while he cracked jokes like it wasn’t 1 in the morning. he would lay your hair flat with his palm, pressing an occasional kiss into your freshly shampooed hair. you’d feel the vibrations of his voice softly lulling you to sleep. he would talk your ear off, only closing his eyes once he propped himself slightly up to see you sound asleep, your face so beautiful and relaxed.
it’s not like you wanted to end things off, if you could choose, you would’ve married seokjin, but that’s not how things work. you’d met him working as a manager for his group in their late trainee and early debut days.
the boys were all sweethearts, but something about seokjin was special. the way he wrapped a blanket around you when you fell asleep managing late night rehearsals, or always started the coffee machine for you in the staff rooms before music bank performances, he was just too nice. the two of you got closer, eventually forming a weird type of relation-situationship. in the mornings, jin wake up early to make breakfast for you at your place. he would try his hardest to cuddle you into your mattress and convince you to just stay in bed with him all day, spoiling you with kisses everywhere, but you eventually would have to help him get ready, and be out of your apartment by 5am. you were expected to be at the bighit building at 6:30am, and wake the boys up as soon as you clocked in, so as long as nobody snitched that you were sleeping with jin, you’d be fine.
but company relationships are taboo, and shortly after bangtan released their third album, skool luv affair, a coworker knocked on your door to be met by jin, messy hair, sweat sticking it to his forehead. it took one look at his swollen lips, and lack of a shirt to connect the dots. you begged her not to report you, and she didn’t, she reported your lover. you had the chance to give up your spot as manager to her in exchange for her silence, but would be met with backlash from seokjin if you did.
some sacrifices have to be made, and you had to break things off with seokjin only a week after resigning from your position.
small fights happened between you two before about the fact that jin was risking his career to be with you, too many times now had someone interrupted you during your elevator make out sessions.
never anything too serious, but the last one is what ended your relationship.
“so what you’re just gonna be unemployed because you want to? what’s the truth ____, you know you can tell me!” he screamed.
“why does it even matter, seokjin? it’s not like it’s any of your business!”
this argument in particular started when you brought up going back to college and getting a degree since you quit your job as bts’ manager. jin playfully disagreed, asking you to stay with him, but something in you wasn’t having it. why couldn’t you just live your own life without his questions?
“can’t i ever do something that I want to without you breathing down my neck about it?”
“well fuck, then im sorry i don’t want my girlfriend abandoning me after i’ve sacrificed my own god damn career for her.” he said sarcastically, “like come on, can’t you ever do something for me?”
this was your final straw. you inhaled, trying to find the urge not to sock him in his handsome ass face.
“kim seokjin i am not your girlfriend” you warned.
“then will you be?”
“after all of this shit, no. not if i’m gonna have you fucking controlling me all this time. matter of fact, i’m going back to college, get out of my apartment.”
“no you’re not.” seokjin immediately went after you as you went to slam your bedroom door in his face. he barely got through the crack before you almost slammed it on him.
“____, can we please talk about this. i’m sorry, you don’t have to be my girlfriend just don’t make sudden decisions like this.”
“there’s nothing sudden about this seokjin! what am i supposed to do, work at a gas station so you can just come over and eat my food and fuck me?” tears threatened to fall from your eyes, it’s like your mouth was betraying you. you didn’t want to leave jin, you didn’t want to leave anyone. not bighit, not bangtan, and especially not your once shared apartment.
“i’m not saying that, just please, think about it. i love you babe.”
“don’t babe me! i’m never gonna make a living and get out of this damn city if i don’t get a valid education! i can’t just be a fucking manager for the rest of my life. i have ambitions too you know.” you spat back
“____.” jin called your name with so much love. so much every nerve and muscle in your body tensed as your resisted the urge to grab him and cry into his arms.
“jin, go away.” you pushed him out of your room, leaving him to sit against the other side, listening to you as you sobbed silently, only breaking the silence ever now and then to sniffle.
he silently let his tears fall from the other side of your door, after thirty minutes your apartment door slammed, but not before your bedroom door opened, you wanted to kiss him at least one more time. it was too late, you opened your lips to be met with a harsh gust of wind from your apartment door slamming shut.
the sound of the heavy door closing broke you, breaking out into full on sobs.
two days later, you pulled yourself together and let your thoughts rot in your empty apartment. for the first time in those two days, you left your apartment and drove all the way to your childhood town, an hour away in busan.
you ignored all of your emotions, putting your nervous system on airplane mode as you pulled into the cafe parking lot.
after ordering a small pastry and drink, you opened your laptop and started searching for universities.
you settled on one in daegu, daegu arts university.
you’ve always been fascinated by theatre, but never had the opportunity to pursue your dreams, as your family never considered it a legitimate career. you’ve not heard from your parents or brother in almost a year now, once they found out you were lying about attending college in seoul.
maybe that’s why you never gave jin any closure, it just runs in your blood.
Tumblr media
months pass, and before you know it. you’re moving into your dorm room on campus, hanging out posters of your favorite tv shows and artists. part of you wants to show jin, but you know it’s too late to turn back now. so instead, you opened your laptop and got to work making new friends in an online chat room.
things were going great, you’d met another theatre major who also had a passion for music. before long, you all were trading you favorite artists left and right.
0_0: haiii!! i’m sullyoon , theatre major. super into idol groups, looking for new friends to rehearse with!
c0nversequeen: sullyoon!! nice to meet you, i’m ____. not so much into idol groups, but definelty into theatre. would love to rehearse and trade music artists with you <3
you bit the inside of your cheeks as the person typed back a response. before long, the awkwardness had faded.
conversation went from her favorite cafes in daegu, to newer idol groups she was loving.
c0nversequeen: i’ve heard great things about twice! i’m interested in western music tho. used to be into idols a ton… i managed one a year ago x_x
0_0: no way!!!!?! i don’t think you’re allowed to disclose who, but i’ll get it out of you one day! i’ve heard of britney spears before and beyoncé but i’m still more of an idol fan. recently i’ve taken a liking to a boy group, we should check out a cafe and stream some of their newer music!
a hangout already? campus life was going great. this was a refreshing new start for you and you were loving it.
sullyoon invited two of her friends. jisung, an art major, and ophelia, a music major. the friends seemed to be really into the boy group that sullyoon mentioned, the four of you were heading to a music store before the cafe to buy new cds.
you put the group onto your favorite paramore songs, jisung actually bought their latest cd. however, everton but you bought another group’s cd:
Bangtan Sonyeondan: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1.
the hangout went smoothly, you got your new friend’s numbers and went home content at about 6pm. as soon as you got back to your dorm, you opened your laptop to search up bts’ latest album. ‘you’re just checking on old friends’ you told yourself, knowing what your intention was. you opened apple music and clicked on the only track you remembered because of its english lyrics: “i need u”.
it wasn’t long before the dots clicked, and by the end of the song, the credits gave it all away.
“Lyrics: RM, Suga, j-hope, Jin, PD “Hitman” bang”
you closed your laptop, your jaw shot to the floor as you tried to make sense of what you just heard.
jin wrote a fucking song about you? there’s no way. you tried to sleep it off, but had the worst and most pleasant nightmare of your life, being woken to the sound of jin’s angelic voice as you read a text “omg! bts on tour… we’re going to seoul!”
you were saved by your own alarm for the first time in your life, wiping sweat from your hairline as you reached to your phone to silence the alarm.
you had no time to go back to sleep, and for the first time that semester, you didn’t rush out of the door. instead, you left earlier, heading to the dorms across campus.
you pounded lightly on sullyoon’s door to find her surprisingly attentive.
“need something?” she piped up
“yea. i need to tell you about the group i managed.”
after school that day, you opened up to someone about you and jin for the first time ever. about how you felt attached to bts somehow, how you always ended up involved with them in someway. the cd’s, daegu being yoongi’s hometown, seokjin’s song about you, it’s like a sign from the universe.
you almost cried from all of sullyoon’s support, but her advice was what you pondered the entire night before bed.
“you should call him! i’m sure he misses you, what’s the worst that could happen, ____. it’s barely been a year and he clearly loves you and thinks of you still.”

건물 사이에 피어난 장미 (Rose in the Concrete Jungle) - H1-Key Riina
Tumblr media
Another day at work, another day past the coffee shop, another day to grind. You trundle through the turnstile of your building, beep beep. You trundle into the turnstile.
"Sir, you have the wrong card?"
Ah damn, right, not your credit card, your employee ID.
"Thanks." You nod slightly to the security guard and keep moving. The elevator is quiet and stuffy, just like your cubicle, just like any other day. You nod and harrumph assent on various meetings, and before you know it is the highlight of your day—lunch time! You eagerly file out of the building and go to the local hotspot for you and your fellow colleagues—the cafe next door. Sandwiched between two large office buildings, the cafe served as a convenient place for informal meetings, to "take things offline", as it were. Of course, it also served good and cheap food, although that came at the cost of long wait times, it was a price you and many others were willing to pay—anything to delay going back to the office.
"Hey, the usual?" You had another reason to hang around and let your lunch hour drag as long as possible. The short-haired cashier smiles at you as she is already tapping the order in.
"You got it, thanks." You stand dumbly at the counter as you watch her work the coffee machine, a soft smile on her face when she hands you the drink.
"Here you go. Your food will be out shortly."
"Thanks." You grab your receipt and wait for your number to be called. The drone of the crowd is comforting and neutral, all is fine. You occasionally look up from your phone to see if your food is out, and what the cute cashier is up to.
"Sup man!" You wince internally as you feel a solid thump on the back.
"Hey Joonho." You greet your college classmate, an asshole through and through. He mellowed out slightly after graduation, joining a competitor to your company in a similar role before rising quickly in the ranks. You kept him at arm's length, but also within arm's reach as it was still good to talk shop with—he was best engaged in small doses. Thankfully at that point in time you hear your number called. "Sorry, let me get my food." Dodging through the crowd you make your way to the counter, and she's waiting for you there, pushing your order towards you as you approach.
"Hold on, let me get my order number..." you find yourself fumbling in your pockets, but you are delightfully interrupted by her.
"No need, I know your order, you get the same thing every time!"
"Do I now? One day I'll mix it up for fun."
"Doesn't matter, I'll know." You can hear the smiley face in her voice.
"Cool, thanks a lot! Have a good one." You look for Joonho to quickly bid him goodbye, but he grabs you by the arm.
"Do you know her?"
"Who?"
"The cutie at the counter."
"Oh, no, I just come here a lot."
"Damn, I should come here more often." He releases you and goes towards her.
"Hey there, what's your name?" Joonho asks directly.
"It's Riina," she responds, taken aback at the random question.
"Nice to meet you Riina, I'm Joonho. Say, when do you get off?"
"What? Uhh we close at 4 pm."
"Great, I'll see you then," Joonho says smoothly before walking away, leaving Riina with a confused look. Joonho pats your shoulder as he leaves. "I'll be there when she gets off work, and then there'll be more getting off, eh? Well she'll be getting on me, but I'll be getting off, something like that."
"Fucker..." you mutter under your breath, yep, still an asshole, and a dumb one at that. You take your food and coffee and find a table, digging in slowly as you sought to extend your lunch hour as long as possible. When you finish you spot Riina standing at the counter unoccupied.
"Hey, Riina right?"
"Yes."
"I couldn't help but overhear earlier, about that Joonho guy?"
"Who?"
"The guy asking you what time you get off work?"
"Oh, him, what about him?"
"Yeah, I would stay away from him, he's not good news."
"Oh I can tell. I'm getting off early today anyways, so I won't be here, thanks though."
"Yeah of course, bye." It is only later that you realize you didn't even give her your name, oh well. Maybe you'll bring it up somehow tomorrow.
Lunch time tomorrow is not at all peaceful, as you come in to see Joonho shouting at Riina.
"What the fuck, you said you get off at 4 pm! I even moved a meeting for that!"
"No, I said we close at 4 pm. I got off early."
"That's not what I asked! I needed to know when you get off!"
"And I don't think you need that information, you fucking creep."
"Come on, don't be like that hmm? I just wanted to have some fun—" Joonho grabs her wrist, and you were ready to step in, but it turns out the pretty rose has the thorns to go with it. She twists out of his hold and grabs his wrist instead, pinning it to the counter. "Ow what the fuck!"
"Keep your hands to yourself!"
"Fuck, okay, let go, let go!" Joonho starts shoutng and swearing even more.
"What seems to be the problem?" The manager appears on the scene.
"Your employee just grabbed my wrist out of nowhere!"
"Nowhere? You grabbed my wrist first!" Riina shouts back, outraged.
"Let go Riina." Not too gently she complies with the manager's order. "Go home for today."
"But—"
"No buts, we'll discuss this tomorrow." Riina stomps off without a another word, leaving Joonho with a smug smirk on his face.
"My apologies, please have something from the menu, it is on the house."
"Is it now? Good, that's more like it." Joonho takes advantage of the manager's kindness, and gets the most expensive thing on the menu. He leaves arrogantly, and in his wake you had to speak up.
"Excuse me, I saw the whole thing, he grabbed your employee's wrist first."
"I know, but this is easier, otherwise he would come back and raise more fuss, the last thing we want is a distraction every day, bad for business."
"You're not getting rid of her are you?"
"Riina? God no, she's our best employee. She needed the break anyways." You can't bring yourself to disagree with him, so you merely nod and make your order. As you munch on your food again you see Riina stomping out from the back, through the food hall. You grab your half-eaten bulgogi burrito and rush up to her.
"Hey, sorry about that."
"It's not your fault, you're not that spineless wimp. Do you know him?"
"Kinda? He's an old classmate from college, he was also an asshole back then."
"Huh, figures."
"Yeah, sorry, I should have spoke up sooner, I told your manager what happened."
"Thanks, I guess? And enough with the sorry, I'm just going to enjoy the extra time off. I'll be back tomorrow anyways." She eyes the burrito. "You really did mix it up huh?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah it was all so distracting, so I just ordered something random."
"Well, come back tomorrow and order your usual. I'll see you then."
"Good, it's a date then." You regret your words as soon as you said it, why did you say that?! Riina doesn't seem to notice, as she's already walking away and waving you good bye. But she’s smiling when she turns away.
Kinda cute, better than that asshole, that's for sure.
Next day you prepare a small note, writing your name and phone number on it. In the office you ponder over whether or not you should follow through and give it to her, and by the time you decide to do it you've missed the lunch hour. You breathe a sigh of relief when you see Riina still working the counter.
"You're late for the date," she chides you jokingly. "The usual?"
"Yeah, sorry, yes please, just the usual." As you hand her the credit card to swipe you place the note on it too, holding it on the underside. Riina feels the different texture, and she slips the paper into her pocket before finishing the payment. She gives you a piece of paper in return—your receipt.
"Your food will be out shortly." Her expression is neutral, and with your heart hammering you nod and walk away like a fool. She's not there when you go pick up your food, and you sigh as you see her busy at work—of course she hasn't had a chance to look at your note! You trudge back to your office on a dour note, and the day drags on. It drags on so long that you almost miss the buzz of your phone—a message from an unknown number. You almost delete it out of hand before remembering that you had given Riina the note earlier today, and hurriedly you open the message.
*Hey there :)*
*Hi, Rina right?*
*Riina. At least I won't misspell your name*
*How do you know I didn't misspell my own name?*
*Surely you're not that dumb, you know how to spell your name. Anyways, drop by the food hall at 5?*
*Isn't it closed at 4?*
*Yes, to outsiders, and then we have to clean and do the receipts and close up, come by at 5 and I'll let you in*
Thrilled you agree, and time couldn't flow any slower. You make an excuse to leave early, and although you are greeted by the dim interior of the already closed food hall, you knock on the glass door. Riina smiles as she walks towards you and lets you in.
"Hey."
"Hi, I'm almost done with closing up, do you want to get something to eat after?" You are surprised to say the least, and you readily agree to her forward request. The date goes well, and in front of her apartment Riina pulls you in by your tie and gives you a daring kiss. It starts off as a peck, then another, and before you know it she's grabbing your shirt, pulling you close. You reciprocate in kind, leaning into the kiss more urgently, an arm wrapped around her waist, oh how easy it would be to slip it under— What are you doing?
"Whoa." You step back, and Riina releases her hold on you.
"Too soon?" She asks, her face flushed. There is heat between the two of you.
"A little? Just surprised, about tonight, about everything, you know? I just gave you my number today and here we are—"
"Yeah, this is just for fun okay? I like you, but I don't know where this is going and I don't want to think about it. Can you do that?"
"Mmhmm," you pull her close this time, kissing her lips before moving sideways, along her cheek, gently capturing her earlobe. No thinking, you say the first thing that comes to mind. "Can I come up?"
A whine of frustration says otherwise. "Roommates— I mean, housemates, sorry. Next time." The heat dissipates.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yes, see you for your usual."
"Great." Riina waves awkwardly. She squirms as you walk away, a need taking root, her rose drenched. She starts to make plans, ways to get her housemates out of the place... She's going to need to take a shower first.
You see her at work the next few days, and things are good, Riina greets you with wider smiles, even giving you a free cookie. You still run into Joonho occasionally who takes the opportunity to bug you, but he gives Riina a wide berth. That is, until his order was messed up.
"I asked for oat milk, not almond milk! That's like giving me a bag of milk instead of a cup of milk!" He slams the cup angrily on the counter, and some of it splashes into her.
"I-I'm sorry sir, I'll remake your order right away."
"And I want that deluxe bulgogi sandwich, on the house! Get me your manager!" Joonho demands.
"I umm..." Riina looks for the manager. You hurriedly put a hand around Joonho's shoulder.
"Yo man chill, it's just a coffee eh? Come on, I'll get you the right coffee and the sandwich eh, how about that?" Delighted at more free food, he immediately forgets that he was angry?
"Hey I'll take you up on that, thanks!"
"Sweet, can I get two coffees with oat milk, and that bulgogi sandwich?" you ask Riina quietly, your eyes asking her the question you can't voice right now.
"Umm yes, of course sir, so sorry, it'll be right out."
"Great, thanks!" You hand her your card. "Hold on to it for me." You quickly drag Joonho away before he could raise more of a fuss. You allow yourself to endure him ranting about the difference between oat and almond milk, all while thinking that it's nuts. You heart twinges as you see the smile disappear from Riina's face, even when you go pickup your food. By the time Joonho thanks you for the treat and lets you go, she's disappeared into the back, so you settle for texting her in the office.
*You okay?*
*Yeah, thanks for helping out there, I'll pay you back!*
*No no it's okay, it's worth it*
*I'm closing tonight, come by later?*
*I can only get out at 6, is that fine?*
*Sure, I'll be there*
You nervously wait for 6 pm, and you're glad to see her when she lets you into the deserted food hall and seats you at a table.
"I'm quitting," Riina says bluntly as she sits down opposite you, and your heart drops.
"What? Why? That was such a minor error!"
"Yeah but I can't be bothered to deal with that anymore, done dealing with assholes."
"I... I understand, that's too bad. I'll umm, miss you."
"Oh, we're not seeing each other anymore?" Riina teases. "I wouldn't mind seeing more of you... Speaking of which, let's continue where we left off." She traces a finger on your hand.
"Where we... here?"
"Yes, just sit there, pretend you're eating lunch and drinking coffee." With that you watch Riina disappear under the table. You look down as she fumbles with your pants, and she looks expectantly at you when they are undone. You get up slightly, and in a moment your pants and then your boxers are lowered. You're a little embarrassed, but very turned on as Riina grips your shaft firmly. All thoughts of your usual meal is wiped away as she makes a meal of your cock, taking you into her mouth. She starts off tentatively, licking your tip and some of your shaft, but when she hears your stifled moan vibrating through your cock she becomes more daring, sucking on it and going deeper on you.
Anyone looking in would be wondering why someone is just sitting at the food hall after hours, so you try to maintain a neutral expression, to appear perfectly normal to anyone that might walk by. It gets harder by the second as the pleasure builds, and Riina seems to notice your throbbing, going faster now. Thankfully no one walks by, no one kills the mood, and so it continues, your hands forming fists on the table.
"Fuck Riina, gonna cum!" you rasp. You feel Riina murmur "Mmhmm" around your cock, and you only try to hold on a little longer. She takes you extra deep into her throat, and at that moment you burst. Your thighs flex and twitch, and a hand smacks the table not too quietly as you pour nut milk straight into Riina's mouth. When you finally finish you relax and half slump over the table, your hands barely working to do your pants up underneath.
"How was that?" Riina asks, smacking her lips delectably. "I hope there's more where that came from."
"Maybe I should—" you try to duck underneath the table yourself, but she stops you hurriedly.
"No, there's surveillance cameras here!"
"And you just blew me!"
"T-That's different!"
"Fine, let's go back to your place then." You grab her by the arm, but she doesn't move.
"No, housemates." Fuck, that's right. "Can we go to your place?"
"It's far, like almost an hour out." The need to be satisfied now weighed against her need to be satisfied thoroughly, and in the end the latter won out.
"Let's go then."
It was almost cute how Riina held your hand while the two of you sat in the taxi—if only it wasn't so damn painful as she squeezes you over and over.
"You okay?" you ask, worried that she wasn't feeling up for it.
"Hm? Yeah yeah," she dismisses you, choosing to look out the window instead. When you arrive you stop her before entering your apartment building.
"You seem really nervous, we don't have to do anything tonight if you're having second thoughts."
"What? Don't back out of this now!" Riina half shouts.
"You were squeezing my hand so hard on the ride over—" she take your hand and yanks it down, placing it between her legs. Just that touch alone is enough to make her hiss in pleasure—she's drenched.
"I need you so bad right now, I was this close to jumping you on the taxi!" At her frank admission you kiss her fiercely, and without thinking she jumps into your arms, wrapping her legs around you. Just like that you carry her into the elevator and then your apartment.
"Water?"
"What? No, I'm good."
"Have some water, sit down please," you command Riina, and she blushes when she realizes what you wanted to do. When you duck under the table you see she is more than ready to help you, her legs already spread, the button on her jeans already undone. You pull her jeans off her legs, and you could sense the heat coming from between her thighs. The panties she wore slide off her legs quickly after, and you pull the chair closer to you, trapping her between the table and the chair. She half slumps on the chair as you reach around and pull her hips to you for better access. Time to go to work.
"Mmm!" Riina's hand jerks and narrowly misses knocking the cup of water over as your press your tongue against her slit, coaxing her flower to bloom. Up and down you swipe your tongue, and Riina slides up and down on the chair, trying to feel more of you. Her whines and whimpers are heavenly as you find her bean, gently French pressing it with your lips and tongue, grinding the juices out of her. You run your hands up and down her thighs, and Riina's sinking down the chair, trying to push more of her into your face. Riina's toned thighs close around your head, an orgasm brewing quickly within her. She knocks the cup over, the water spilling from it and leaking down the table—your hair gets wet, which makes it easier for Riina to grip as she twists her fingers in them. She wants you to stop, she wants to cum on your cock, but her body has other ideas, and her hand shoves your face deeper into her.
"I, I— Ahh!" With a sharp yelp Riina orgasms hard, the built up tension from giving you a blowjob earlier finally released. Your head shakes as hard as she does, her thighs twisting and twitching against the sides of your head. You give her pussy slow licks to bring her down, her pink rose dewy and trembling—you had to have more. She lets out something between a cough and a moan as you do a French press and then a French kiss between her legs. A smack on your head stops you from making out with her pussy. You bang your head as you forget about the table above you, and Riina laughs tiredly.
"I almost did that earlier, but enough, I want more."
"I was going to, but you pushed me away."
"You know what I mean." Riina stands up and pulls your shirt open—she likes what she sees and rips it off completely. Her legs are wrapped around you once more, and your hands squeeze her ass as you carry her to the bedroom. It is feral the way she tears off the rest of her clothes before she jumps your pants, looking to strip you naked as quickly as possible. You overpower her, but Riina is the one in control as her legs hook around your thighs, making sure you don't stray too far.
"C-Condom!" You gasp as your shaft rests on her mons, but Riina's already grabbing and aiming for you.
"You're clean right?"
"Yes."
"Same, what are we waiting for." It's too late to turn back as your tip presses and pushes through her lips. Riina holds her breath as you oh-so-slowly fill her. "Fuck, don't tease me!"
"I— I'm not, you're so tight..." She helps and hinders you with that, her legs pushing you into her even as her pussy tightens around you further. You close your eyes to steady yourself, not wanting to give in to the intense pressure around your shaft. The sight you see when you open eyes doesn't help—Riina's tight body is below you, one hand on a perky breast, another hand on her belly, as if feeling how deep you're in her. And she's smirking.
"That good huh?"
"Yeah, fucking amazing," you admit. "You?"
"Even better."
"Doesn't seem like it." You lean down on top of her, and she wraps her arms around your neck as she whispers.
"Only because you're not moving yet, I'm barely holding it together."
What about now? That was what you wanted to ask Riina, but the answer is self-evident as she has to muffle a moan into your shoulder when you start grinding into her. All too quickly she's falling apart beneath you, like a bean that's slowly crushed by pleasure, threatening to burst. She allows you to prick her with your prick again and again, squirming against you, yearning for more friction. You draw circles with your hips and it makes your tip stir vigorously inside her, her clit stimulated after every revolution. Riina's gasping as she does a pourover on your shaft, but you needed more to finish making the drink. Your hands find her taut midriff, and you hold her still as you begin fucking her, replacing the grinding with some good old-fashioned pounding.
"Oh fuck that's even better, don't stop, don't stop!" You are as big as she is tight, and her body rolls in pleasure. You time your thrusts to hit her sweet spot, rendering Riina speechless. She's clenching around you randomly, and you watch her flat tummy flex and twitch. Your own endurance frays, and you slow your thrusts, much to Riina's annoyance.
"Don't, keep going! I'm going to cum so hard!"
"Fuck, me too!" You plan to pull out, but you needed to get her off first. You lean back down, capturing a breast as you start pounding her once more. You rock her body with each slam, and your teeth graze her nipple over and over. With one particularly deep thump you crush Riina's bean of pleasure completely, and she explodes.
"Oh fuck..." The explosion is nothing more than a mere whisper, but you feel her detonate around you, her walls suddenly milking you with desperate need. Riina's body is rigid, every muscle is tense, including the ones contracting around you. She relaxes for a brief moment, for one wispy breath, and then—
"Hnngh god!" She seizes up again, firmly gripping your cock once more. Each contraction tugs on you, stretching your endurance just a little too far. Fuck, you are right there.
"Riina—" You try to get her attention when she relaxes, but she's still in the throes of powerful ecstasy.
"Mmm yes!" Her walls slam against your shaft once more, and you are too far gone. You kiss her, and Riina moans and shouts into the kiss as you fill her up with creamy seed. Her pussy reacts to the sudden warmth, milking you rather than trying to crush your shaft, extending your orgasm. Mindlessly you return to grinding against her, squeezing every drop into her—Riina moans when she feels the hot liquid overflow, seeping out from the connection, and when you slip out a rush of it spills on to the sheets.
You collapse on Riina's limp form, your orgasms sapping any strength either of you had. You gently suck on her neck, and you feel Riina's lips on your skin too. Your arms wrap around one another, hugging each other tight as the high wears off.
"Fuck, I'm sorry..." you mutter.
"For what? That was amazing."
"I came in you, I didn't pull out in time."
"I... It's okay I think, I'll grab something for it in the morning." Riina says, albeit with some worry. You hold her close and cuddle her.
"I'll go with you, you can stay the night if you want." Surprisingly she blushes, and she gently pushes you away.
"No, I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. I can get it tomorrow myself."
"Oh umm, okay, are you sure?" you ask, fearing that the whole night was a mistake.
"Yes, sure. Do you mind if I use your shower?" You give her a tower, and Riina excuses herself to the bathroom to clean up. You are clothed again by the time she exits the shower, and you walk her down.
"Riina I—"
"I'll be fine, I'm just not ready for, you know, staying the night."
"No, yeah I get it, things moved a little fast."
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Aren't you quitting?"
"No, I kinda want to see more of you, you know? I'll see you for your usual." You can't help but smile as Riina gets in the taxi and disappears.
Tumblr media
Since that night you look forward to lunch every day now, and Joonho pesters you about your hickeys while festering about those on Riina that you can't help but leave on her—somehow he never makes the connection. You drop by one evening, when you know Riina's the only one closing up for the day.
"Hey there cutie. Say, when do you get off?" You ask her in your smarmiest tone.
"God you are terrible at flirting." She winks and pulls you close.  "That depends, how fast can you carry me to the storeroom?"
Time for more grinding.
A/N: For those of you who don’t know, H1-Key’s Rose Blossom is the song the title refers to, the Korean title is the name of the song, go check it out. It went a little viral in Korea because it was one of the rare songs with no English in it. Anyways Riina immediately caught my eye, she’s cute with the short haircut but has an amazing figure midriff and thighs, so I always wanted to write her eventually. And when I took the title literally it worked out into this idea. She’s also in Queendom Puzzle so do check that out!
Finally another story too, I recognize that I’ve been taking longer between stories, and the quality may be more inconsistent because of it. Writing is a hobby that requires my brain to be on, and lately I’ve been gravitating to just playing games because I can turn my brain off. As a result the frequency suffers and the quality may not be as good, because I may forget writing themes and points I had used earlier in the story. It is what it is at this point. I still have ideas and random BFH ideas that spring to mind, but it’s just gonna take longer to post them. I might post a Yubin quickie because there is a particular outfit that is living rent-free in my head, but yeah, general output is gonna be closer to the 2 a month for the past few months rather than the near 1 a week from before.
As always, thanks for reading!

[A/n: They play Rummy, but specifically: Rummy 500! Anyways, has this thought been plaguing me for months since I watched The Convoyz in Late Janaury/Early February? Yes. Ever since they stood behind Kevin menacingly, my brain has stayed there. Anyways, this my tribute to the grim reapers/coffee machines #1 & #2. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.]
------
You inherited the casino a few years back, your father finally deciding you were ready to be on your own. Since you’ve already known how to print and clean money since you were a child, it was only right that you inherited the casino front. Things were easy in the beginning. From crunching down numbers to make things run smoothly, foraging checks, and rearranging the layout to be better for customers. You wanted it to look and run as if there wasn’t anything going on behind the scenes. It was hard work, but it wasn’t anything you couldn’t do. But when you started making deals with ‘clients’, it felt like you were unraveling. You couldn’t do it all alone, which was hard to admit. But you knew another day of bargaining with clients and ending up in scuffles or taking care of someone would drive you to your wit's end. So, you phoned your father, the don, and he understood immediately. After all, he didn’t have his members for no reason. He didn’t hold it against you. Rather, he encouraged you to do so, so you could focus solely on the artificial inflation of numbers and the creation of paper. You didn’t want any of the family to be your business partners. You wanted lower level but trained people in his mob. It confused him a little, but since you were his favorite, he would do whatever to make your business run smoothly. About a month later, after your family inspected them to make sure they weren’t rats or feds. You finally got to meet Younghoon and Juyeon, and you couldn’t be happier with the two seemingly gentle giants being your ‘business’ partners.
It’s been two years since then, and everything started moving smoother. You were no longer alone. Every deal with them behind you felt easy like your ‘clients’ weren’t trying to swindle you anymore. Your father referred to them as your ‘grim reapers’ when he showed up unannounced with how they loomed over you and at him. And from then on, it stuck. They were your two ‘grim reapers’ because when they were stoic and looking down at someone from behind your chair. They looked menacing. As if one wrong word or look meant you were off this plane of existence. They took their job seriously, easily carrying out people when they just won’t yield the outcome the three of you'd like. But while all that was true, you knew one thing others didn’t, and that’s that they were two of the gentlest souls with the sweetest of laughs you had ever heard. Sometimes, during deals, you’d catch them in your computer’s reflection and have to hide the smile that wanted to creep up onto your face. Because the second the doors closed behind someone. And it was just you three. They’d be back to soft smiles and goofy attitudes.
Like in the summer, when you propped the doors open, and you three could hear music from the casino’s speakers. They’d pull you up to dance away from your computer to goof off to their favorite songs. Or how if you got tired while calculating numbers, they wouldn’t hesitate to carry you off to bed. Tucking you in and assuring you were out before leaving to their rooms. They did so many little things, like when you’d lose the card games and lose out on coffee, they’d still bring you one anyway. Or how they’d loom over you while you were looking at your computer and nothing else. And they’d make silly faces until you lost concentration before taking you down the spiral staircase to play cards. They made you endlessly happy. They took care of you in ways you never imagined when you asked for help. Like how they’d help you print money and make sure you didn’t strain yourself when operating the machinery. You had two sets of additional eyes to catch mistakes. And when the money was all dried, you three would throw money in the air as if you won millions together. Of course, the cleanup sucked afterwards, but they always manage to make the most boring tasks fun. Every meticulous thing became easier with them around. Card games where you would drink and laugh had to be your favorite. Watching Juyeon's eyes widen when he picks up a good card before laying it down and smiling would melt your heart. Or the cute frustration on Younghoon when either of you would win. Your heart nearly coos every time.
You had fallen for them the moment you met them, but since you were becoming their boss. It felt like a power dynamic. Even though they were making the same money as you made. You still were their boss on paper. Although, you made it clear that you viewed them as equals when you hired them. You didn’t want them to feel coerced into having to love you or lose their sole income. Or worse, feel like if they didn’t accept your feelings, they’d have to deal with the don, something you wouldn’t wish on anyone. You never wanted them to have to make that decision. So, you kept your feelings to yourself, knowing that was best for the three of you. No matter how much you fantasized about holding their hands and kissing at cute little cafes. You knew none of that could be in your future, especially when the three of you are in the business you are. So, the thoughts would be just tucked away at your pillow at night, something to dream about even if they were outlandish.
It wasn’t until they told you over a card game that they had begun dating that you began burying those dreams and feelings. You couldn’t be happier for them, breaking out the good champagne and applauding them for finding safety within each other. But when you crawled into bed that night, you cried into your pillow because you had to fall for two people who were meant for each other, whom you could never be with. The two gentle souls in this wretched world found comfort within each other. And you knew you couldn’t ask for more. All you ever wanted for them was to be happy, especially in the realm you three resided in. They deserved each other. The two of them couldn’t hurt a fly but wouldn’t bat an eye when it came to killing a man in cold blood. But that wasn’t where your heart got off on the wrong foot. It was the endless card games the three of you played while waiting or getting ice cream after a long day of errands to make the casino look good. Or maybe it was how you would laugh the whole day away together. But now that was what two partners and a boss did together, nothing more, nothing less. You’d have to bury your fantasies with your other dreams. It would be hard to get over them, but you would eventually, and that’s all that mattered.
---
Younghoon has his shoes kicked up on the edge of your desk, polishing his revolver and humming a little tune. While Juyeon is leaning against him, slowly falling asleep, you can’t help but let the scene endear you. But you keep a neutral expression, checking on the casino’s banking statements and deciding whether or not to fix up some numbers artificially. You check back on last week’s report and see your latest markup was going through smoothly, so those calculations could wait until next month. You catch from the corner of your eye Younghoon twirling his now polished gun before he puts it back into his holster underneath his suit jacket. You gulp as he looks away at the clock, almost lost in the way he played around with that. You watch in the corner of your eye to see Juyeon cuddle further in, and your heart melts all over again. Both of them cause you to forget what notes you were scribbling before you remember and continue scribbling. Younghoon softly says, “It’s time…” alerting both of you to what time it is as he ruffles Juyeon’s hair, relaxing him, before gently pushing him up.
You give them both a small smile as they get up. And in unison, they say, “We’ll be back in a little, love.” It was something they called you since they began working for you, never boss. You were never their superior, always their equal. “Okay, I’ll see you two in a bit.” But it never fails to make your heart skip a beat. You go back to your statements, writing a few last numbers, trying to wrap it up before they return with the new ‘client’. They push their chairs away and move the client’s chair in front. They head to their spots on either side of the doors, and when the person knocks, they pull it open, letting him in. The two follow closely behind the shorter man as the doors thud close. You can see them glower at him and internally giggle at the sight as they wait for him to sit down before rounding your large mahogany desk to stand behind you. Their intimidation would work on you if you didn’t know they were both softhearted. You come to your senses as Younghoon stands with his hands in his pockets and Juyeon with his hands folded over each other behind you in your chair. You can’t see their faces, but you know their eyes are glinting as they look down at the client you have in front of you.
---
But alas, even with their intimidation tactics and your argumentative skills combined, he just won’t give in. And after an hour of discussing, you’ve finally had enough, “Last chance, are you going to do the deal the way we want? That maximizes both our profits and gives you protection. Or are you only interested in yourself?” The guy scoffs, “Again, why would I want to maximize yours when I agreed to this deal under the pretense, you’d only want to protect us and not a cut of our company?” You sigh, “I’ve heard enough,” you look up at two over you, “haven’t you two?” They agree, and in an instant, they’re behind the guy dragging him out of his chair. You hear him shout something as he makes it past the double doors. But you roll your eyes. He wasn’t going to give you three what you needed to make it fair, then he was useless. And whatever they deemed was the appropriate punishment you saw was fit. They were to exercise whatever force was necessary. Something you always admired no matter how they took care of them. They’d always come back pristine as if they never lifted a finger, unlike how you’d usually come back after taking care of or throwing someone out before you hired them. You weren’t sure if you said it enough, but you were always thankful for what they did. Easing the burden on you meant better focus on the numbers and money production. They did all the work you no longer wished to do, helped you with whatever tasks you had, and made them fun.
You pull three glasses from the cupboard and some expensive whiskey from the shelf for the three of you to indulge in when they come back. You finish pouring the shots, and after setting the bottle down, you grab their chairs setting them in front of your desk before putting away the client's chair. You relax back in your chair for a few more minutes before the double doors open again. They thud back into place as Younghoon looks at you with a smile, wiping blood off his cheek with a handkerchief, while Juyeon disposes of his gloves, giving you a small smile. You smile at both of them before they sit down in their chairs. Younghoon wipes the blood off Juyeon’s nose before placing a kiss on his temple, and you smile at the warmth of the gesture. Juyeon blushes at the act, and you wait for a moment before saying, “You two usually don’t return with blood on you.” Juyeon shrugs before putting his arm behind the backrest, “We don’t take kindly to someone talking shit about you.” You tilt your head, “Is that what on about on his way out?” Younghoon nods before relaxing back into his chair, “Yeah, so we knocked him around a bit, making sure he remembered his place before sending him on his way.” You hum, “Serves him right. Maybe he’ll come back next time with a fairer deal.” They laugh as they agree, and the three of you raise your glasses, clinking them together as you cheer, “To a better deal next time!” Your drinks slosh before you each kick the drink back.
Juyeon goes, “Shall we head down, love?” You agree, taking the glasses while Younghoon takes the whiskey bottle down. They follow hand in hand behind you as you head out of the room and down the spiral staircases. To avoid the loud noises of slot machines, the three of you head through the kitchen, asking for your usual dinners as you pass through. And they get set on making them as you continue through another room before you finally land on the door. You each put your assigned keys into a different lock, unlocking the three locks in sync as you’ve done thousands of times before. You push the doors open and it locks behind you three as you head to the card table. You each sit at your respective chairs, setting the glasses out as Younghoon pours each of you another round while Juyeon draws up the cards. He shuffles them on the table and bridges them up into his hands. You ask, “What are we playing today?” Juyeon shrugs, unsure. And Younghoon grins, “What about a good old-fashioned game of rummy?”
You all agree and watch as Juyeon splits the deck with precision before dealing out seven cards each. You gasp as he has one to flip over. “Damn. Perfect hundred.” He smirks, “We play it enough. It should be easy.” You roll your eyes and mark him down for a hundred. You finally look through your hand and end up with a good hand, with two sets of three and one left over. Younghoon smirks as he places down a full queen spread, and you scoff, “Ju, I’m starting to think you deal in favor of Hoon…” Juyeon just smirks, “Maybe~” You roll your eyes, and Younghoon sets down a jack of diamonds to discard. You pick up a card from the pile and put your spread of eight, nine, ten of hearts and a king set down before discarding a three of clubs. Younghoon scoffs, “He deals in favor of me?” You cackle, and Juyeon picks up the card you discarded, making a small spread before discarding a queen of hearts. You yell, “Rummy!” and grab it, making Younghoon pout and cross his arms, and Juyeon gasp, “Aw man…” You grin, and Younghoon picks up from the pile and lays off a seven on Juyeon’s 4,5,6 spade run. He discards his card, and you pull from the pile and finally get a joker. You can’t resist your smirk as you pull it, and the two groan as you set down the joker on your kings and get rid of your last card. You count up your points and happily end up with sixty-five. Younghoon comes out with twenty-five, and Juyeon breaks even, and you smirk, “Only thirty-five points til I catch up~” Juyeon rolls his eyes, “As if you’ll win, love.” Younghoon touches his hand, “Don’t get cocky now, dear.” You laugh as Juyeon rolls his eyes.
You do end up catching up and passing Juyeon’s score. But in the last round, Younghoon goes out in the first round, making him win with five hundred and thirty points. You both pout until you hear the dinner bell. Juyeon, as the loser of this game, gets your food from the dumbwaiter. You refill everyone’s drinks before clinking your glasses to Younghoon’s win. While you eat and drink, you play another round of rummy mindlessly, not focused on the game. The three of you were more concerned about the taste of your food. But you keep thinking back to earlier and how they came back messy. It was so unlike them, but then again, no one had insulted you in front of them before.
After a few more sips of your whiskey before you bring it back up again, “Even when you’ve had to take care of worse clients… You’ve only come back covered in blood once before this… It’s so odd.” Younghoon teases, “You’ve never questioned our methods before, love~” You scrunch your nose, lifting your glass up, and say, “But you guys usually aren’t messy.” Juyeon shrugs, discarding his card as he tells you, “Yeah, well, we love you so-” causing Younghoon to clasp his hand over Juyeon’s mouth before he can finish his sentence and Younghoon apologizes profusely as Juyeon asks muffledly, “Huh? What? What did I say?” You blink before asking harsher than you intended, “Is this true?” And Younghoon ashamedly nods ‘yes,’ bowing his head as he keeps his hand over Juyeon’s mouth. Juyeon finally catches up and looks down in shame as well.
But what they don’t see is your bright blush and big smile. You look at your cards, “Well since it’s my turn, do you think I can be the Ace to your Kings?” Their heads pop up before Younghoon moves his hand to hold Juyeon’s cheek as they exchange a look, trying to understand if they really heard what you just said. Younghoon drops his hand, and they both look at you as if asking for confirmation, so you repeat yourself. They break out into huge grins, “Really?” “You want to be with us?” You admit, “I’ve always had a crush on you two. And once you both got together, I was trying to get over it. And…” Juyeon grins, telling you blatantly, “We’ve loved you since then, too.” You blink, “But I was your boss.” Younghoon scoffs with a smile, “Don’t you remember?” You blink at him, and he explains, “You’re only our boss on paper. You told us from the moment you met us. That we were your equals.” The two of them smirk before looking over at you again, and in unison, they say, “And now you’re ours.” You grin, smiling down at your cards, finally playing your hand, setting down three jacks before discarding an eight of diamonds. You look at them again, “I really hope I don’t wake up, and this was just a dream again.” Juyeon asks, “You’ve dreamt about this?” You sigh, “More times than I care to admit.” And that’s when you catch sight of their intertwined hands on the table. Juyeon takes the glass out of your hand, and Younghoon gets you to drop your cards on the table so they can hold your hands. You sigh, “This is real.” Younghoon smiles, “If it isn't, we don't want to wake up either.” You squeeze their hands, “What do you say we have ice cream to celebrate?”
You call up for it, and when the dumbwaiter rings, you leave your cards abandoned to have ice cream together on the couch in front of the big screen. The three of you cuddling up with you in the middle. You couldn’t help but feel more at peace. Most of your dynamics in work didn’t change. They would still loom behind you as you made deals. But if one of the people were to make a snide comment or look at you the wrong way. They wouldn’t hesitate to bring them up by the collar in front of you. Bringing them closer to the three of you and over the desk, one going, “No, please continue…” while the other would follow, “What do you have to say about our lover?” It made their protectiveness go up tenfold, and you’d have to resist your grin as you watched them do so.
And when the catalyst to your relationship returned to make a proper deal. The guy was shivering in his seat as the two loomed towards him. Tempting him to say something about you in front of them again. Because this time, if he did, he would lose more than just his teeth. He gulped as he offered you three an even bigger cut of the deal than the three of you wanted before. And who were you three to deny such a sweet deal? You happily accepted it. Once, he left practically running with his tail between his legs. The two of them moved from behind you to sit in front of you on your desk, smirking. Both cross their arms, and you roll your eyes, crossing your arms in front of you as you look up at them, “What?” They look at each other before looking at you, and Younghoon starts off, “Since we helped get a better deal,” Juyeon states rather than asking, “Doesn’t that mean you owe us a fancy date?” You do your best to hold back your grin, biting at your lip as you look between them both before you can’t hold it back anymore, uncrossing your arms, “Well, what are you two waiting for? Go get dressed.” The three of you rush to get dressed in your fanciest clothes.
You somehow finish first and lean against your door while you wait. And out comes your two casanovas. You can’t help the whistle that comes out of your mouth as you look at them, and they laugh, Younghoon clapping as Juyeon smiles before giggling. “Us? What about you, sweetheart?” Something that also changed is their nicknames for you. You smirk, “When you have two hot dates, you best look good~.” Juyeon reaches out for your hand and kisses it. And Younghoon scoffs, “You saw me first but didn’t do that to me!” Juyeon rolls his eyes before kissing the back of Younghoon’s hand. You kiss both of their cheeks and go, “Come on now, let’s head out before everyone closes.” Younghoon wraps his arms around you both, “You know they’ll always wait for us three. We own them, after all.” You both laugh, shaking your heads, before you say, “But no need for them to work a longer shift…” Younghoon hums, “Fair enough, let’s go.” You both lean against Juyeon while you wait for your driver, Jacob, to get to The Convoyz. Juyeon grins as he holds you both close to him, and the three of you relish in the quiet moment. When the car finally stops at the grand entrance of the red and black establishment, the three of you chime, “Thanks, Cob!” As you exit, Jacob calls from the car, “Get me something good!” Before he heads to park, waiting for your call to pick you up.
The hostess gasps, “Oh, The Grims! Right this way!” You exchange a look with them. And when you finally sit at your designated table, secluded from others. You start cackling, “I didn’t know I was roped in on this grim reaper bit with you two now.” Juyeon giggles and says, “You’re with us now, baby. You’re a reaper, too.” Younghoon grins, “You're our argumentative reaper.” Your usual waiter comes around, and before he can fill your wine glasses, you go, “Instead of our usual drinks, since it's a special occasion, can you bring out your best champagne?” He nods and goes to get the champagne and flutes. Once your drinks are in hand, you three cheer to a good deal and a one-month anniversary.
You eat your usual meals, talking about anything that comes to mind. “You found that endearing about Ju, too?” You cackle, “Of course I did! Who wouldn’t find an awkward man cute?!” Younghoon giggles, and Juyeon pouts, “I didn’t know what to do without two beside me…” You laugh, “Ju, you usually talk to everyone!” He pouts, “But not without my loves…” You both blush at that and switch the teasing to Younghoon, “Did you find Hoon’s pout cute?” Juyeon’s eyes turn bright, “I can’t get enough of it…” You both grin at each other before you hear a ‘hmph!’ and both turn to look at a pouty Younghoon. And you both giggle, both of you reaching to pinch one of his cheeks, making the three of you laugh. And that’s when they turn the teasing back to you, “Doesn’t (N/n) look cute when they start getting frustrated over math work~” Juyeon agrees, “The little huffs…” The two giggle at each other as if they’ve talked about it a hundred times. And you can’t help but blush and giggle with them before returning to your food.
You finish your meals, telling Jacob to bring the car around as you get escorted out. The hostess from before tells you three, “Have a good evening, Grims!” You all smile at each other before wishing them a good one before leaving. You hand Jacob his takeout meal before getting in and sitting next to Younghoon. Juyeon takes his turn to sprawl out over you two like a cat. You run your fingers through his hair as you lay your head against Younghoon’s shoulder, and he lays his head on top of yours. Younghoon holds Juyeon over you two, keeping him from sliding off you every time the car hits a bump. You three peacefully rest until you arrive at the casino again. You three slowly get out of the car, heading in the back door as Jacob heads home. You take the elevator instead of the stairs and head to get changed. A month prior, you’d be heading to your separate suite, but now the three of you happily share the guest suite with the Alaskian king-sized bed.
As you start drifting to sleep in between Younghoon and Juyeon, you can’t help but think of all that’s changed. You’d still play card games together with different stakes, more intimate than the last. Sure, you’d still make food bets and have them get you coffee. But now, it was all that and more, every game became more interesting than the last. Although, you were dealing with two gentle giants who wanted nothing more than to cuddle with you. While it was endearing to watch them cuddle while you worked before, now you were a part of the cuddle pile. If you were too busy on calculations to join them, they’d bring their chairs around to lay up against you. And now, whenever they wanted your attention while they stood behind you, they’d kiss your temple until your attention was taken away from work and focused wholly on them. Now, whenever you walk down the stairs, instead of them following behind you hand in hand. You now were linked, going down the stairs together. Things that were small gestures between business partners became endearing gestures. And you couldn’t help but be content. They were your safe space in a world as dangerous as the two of you work in. The three of you had each other. What more could you want?

In which Percy gets a date, is late to work, and fixes a broken espresso machine, not in that order.

Six Shot Americano Man leans over the counter, glancing at the scattered tools surrounding Vex as she kneels on the floor for easier access to the innards of her broken espresso machine “Hm. I could take a look, if you don’t mind."

“Is everything alright?”
Vex startles at the sudden voice, screwdriver slipping from her hand and clattering to the floor as her head jerks up, thumping against the counter-top with a painful thud. “Shit!”
“Ah, apologies. I didn’t mean to startle you.”
At the counter of the small cafe, Six Shot Americano Man is staring at her. He always comes in ten minutes after open and orders his monstrosity of unsweetened caffeine. Normally, Vex has it on the counter waiting for him, but with her machine busted, there’s little she can do.
She presses a hand to the spot where she’d smacked her head, wincing at the immediate shot of pain. “No, don’t worry about it. I’ll have that Americano out for you in about…” she glances at the exposed innards of her broken espresso machine. “Well, probably not for a long time.”
Six Shot Americano Man leans over the counter, glancing at the scattered tools surrounding Vex as she kneels on the floor for easier access to the machinery. If it were anyone else, she might be annoyed, but Six Shot Americano Man is her favorite customer, partly because he’s polite, but mostly because he tips insanely well. “Have you called someone to fix it?”
“They won’t be here until tomorrow, and I figure I can’t make things much worse, can I? If I could just find out what’s wrong with the thing…”
“Hm. I could take a look, if you don’t mind. I’m rather good with these things,” he offers, stroking the stubble that’s just beginning to peek through on his jaw.
Vex peers at him with narrow eyes. Normally, it would be a quick and easy ‘no’ to a request like that, but, hell, she’s willing to try just about anything. After all, Scanlan had called out for his shift today, and although this hole-in-the-wall coffee shop is rarely busy, Vex doesn’t want to deal with a broken espresso machine by herself. Besides, Six Shot Americano Man hasn’t yet given her a reason to be overtly cautious. Fuck it. “Alright, but I can’t pay you.”
He shrugs off his formal jacket, walking around the corner so he’s behind the bar. “That’s not an issue. May I?”
She easily steps away to make room for him. “Be my guest.”
His face is quickly pulled into a look of consideration as he pushes the wires around to get a better look inside the machine. Vex leans against the back wall, keeping a curious eye on him as he fiddles with some mechanism or another, quietly muttering to himself. What little words she can catch are some kind of technical jargon.
“Have you worked on these before?” she can’t help but ask, watching his fingers move with practiced precision.
“Not this particular model, but I’ve always had a knack for machinery,” he hums, green eyes never leaving the task. Vex should probably be watching his fingers as they delve into the wires, in case this issue should ever arise again and she needs to fix it, but she finds herself studying the man, instead.
Objectively, Six Shot Americano Man is rather attractive, though that’s not a new revelation. It’s hard for anyone to not notice that the first time they lay eyes on him. Hell, when he first started coming in all those months ago, Scanlan had fallen over himself trying to land a date, though found himself unsuccessful. So, yes, Vex knew he was attractive.
Somehow, though, that had never really resonated with her until now. He’d always just been Six Shot Americano Man who tips well and doesn’t talk much, and Vex had been content with that.
So why is she feeling the sudden urge to have a name for him?
It probably has something to do with the small emoting of his expression, lips pursing and nose scrunching and eyes narrowing when he fiddles with what must be a difficult component. Or perhaps it’s the practiced, confident movements of his hands deep within the machine.
Either way, Vex figures it’s been a damn long time since she treated herself to a proper date with a handsome somebody. Might as well give it a go, now.
“You know, I see you nearly every day, but I don’t think you’ve ever told me your name,” she hums, trailing over to his side.
“My name is Percy,” he answers, only glancing at her for a second before turning his attention back to his work. “And you’re Vex’ahlia, if the nametag is correct.”
The way he says her name is strangely appealing, the syllables slotting together so perfectly when wearing his posh accent. “You can just call me Vex, darling. Everyone else does.”
She doesn’t think anything of the moniker, but it causes Percy’s hands to fumble for half a second. “Well. It’s nice to meet you, Vex.”
“And you, Percy.” If he were looking at her, she’d throw in a wink, but alas. “So, I have to ask, what keeps bringing you back here? You know there’s a Starbucks down the street, right?”
He laughs. “Is it standard practice to recommend the competition?”
“I would argue that this is more of a customer satisfaction survey. Something must be keeping you loyal to us, it’s only helpful to know what it is,” Vex says, finding herself leaning over him slightly.
Percy glances up at her, then looks away a tad bit too quickly. His cheeks are beginning to turn a dusty pink. “I like the quiet. Everywhere else is too busy.”
“So you like that we get bad business? That’s not very helpful for my survey.”
There’s a short pause before he says, “Well, the baristas also provide excellent company.”
Vex’s smile grows. “Hm, good to know. I need as much detail as possible for this survey, could you be more specific?”
“The one named Scanlan is particularly enjoyable.”
His voice is so deadpan that it takes Vex a long second to recognise it as a joke, but the smirk on his lips gives him away. She snickers. “Don’t let him hear you say that, he’ll start trying to flirt with you again.”
Percy grins as he pulls his hands out of the espresso machine’s innards. “I’ve dealt with worse. And… there we are,” he says, pressing the power button and watching with satisfaction as the machine begins to start.
Vex’s eyes widen as the screen comes to life. “No shit, you actually did it?”
“Did you not think I could?”
“Of course not! I just figured you couldn’t make it worse,” she admits, clicking the single shot button and watching with awe as espresso starts to pour. “That’s amazing!”
His preening is subtle, but Vex is good at reading people, and she can see the way his chin lifts and his smile grows a centimeter. It’s endearing. “It’s nothing, really.”
“Oh, shut up,” she scoffs, easily grabbing a cup and beginning to prep his Americano. “You just saved my ass. I’m never letting you pay for a drink again, they’re all on the house.”
Percy considers something for a second. “The business is already struggling enough, I don’t think that’s the best idea. Though, if you truly want to repay me, you could let me take you out to dinner. It’s not in any way expected, of course, but I would enjoy getting to know you.”
Her heart thunders with excitement, but she keeps her cool. “I suppose I can manage that,” Vex teases as she hands him his Americano. “You free tomorrow?”
“I can be,” he quickly agrees, just eager enough to be endlessly charming. “Here, my phone number. Just text me a restaurant and time, I’ll be there.” He quickly jots his number down on a napkin. “Unfortunately, I must get to work. I’m already late. I look forward to tomorrow.”
Vex blinks. “You were late to work to fix my machine?”
“I’d say the outcome was well worth it,” Percy hums, grinning wide. “I’ll see you soon, Vex’ahlia.”
She shakes her head, exasperation and fondness mingling together in her chest. “Yes, yes, I’m excited, too, now get to work! I’m not going to be the reason you get fired!”
He’s still grinning as he races out of the coffee shop, though Vex is pretty sure she doesn’t have much room to judge, given she’s doing the same. God, tomorrow can’t come quickly enough.
