I think there's a lot of good that could potentially come from ai, but I just wish we weren't so willing to sacrifice human creativity and the arts to it so quickly.
#i love technology and i love innovation#but theres something incredibly orwellian to me about a computer finishing the passion projects of writers posthumously#its kinda absurd actually#this post is in direct reference to that journalist who was all “okay yeah Yates died sure but i WANT to know the ending of that book!!!”#“it can make a new Goya!!!”#well no actually it isnt its just memorising behaviours and patterns and replicating its idea of what a new piece by Goya would be#“we created a new scene in Wildes play!!!”#no you didnt you added to existing literature but used a computer to think for you#like idk#maybe im weird but maybe lets let the dead stay dead?#i also already see publishing houses releasing posthumous work for profit
