realizing with the ports of p3p and p4g riding off of the popularity of p5r, earlier persona fandoms r gonna get a surge of new players in a number we'd never seen before

like look ive been sitting here since 2013. i first played p4g over 9 years ago. im used to it being a cozy little fandom. a bunch of weirdos who like a relatively obscure jrpg series that exclusively featured on old consoles. i played p4g on psvita and p3p on psp. That was the experience.

not necessarily bad for there to b new people. but im just kinda realizing how different the fandom's gonna be now lol

#speculation nation #a fandom made of retro gamers being opened up to the general gaming community. that's the gist of it.#im not trying to gatekeep but Man as a longtime persona fan this is gonna be weird #& ppl playing p3p on smth other than psp. you wont get the experience of your psp purring!!!!#which was an intrinsic part of the persona 3 experience for me.#loading up any new area. any new bit of dialog. and the disk starts whirring #and it sounds like a purr. my good friend the psp and it purring at me #which Also translated into things like wandering thru a random level of tartarus. & not doing anything. not loading anything #but then your psp starts purring and youre like Oh No #soon followed by fuuka going 'I sense death!' and u kno u gotta get OUT of there #y'all r gonna miss that!!!!!!!!!#forreal the purring of my psp is one of my favorite things about that system #ive had my lovely psp for over 10 years now and ive never regretted getting it.#time passes and the gaming atmosphere has changed so much #and people are going to play p3p without the purring of a psp. Sad.
