a/n: SORRY for making mina evil, just bc i made her like that in this imagine doesn't mean she's evil irl. Also Y/N dances Badas choreo when she battles against Mina

Y/N was holding Bada's hand as they were watching their teams group evaluation. Bada had told her she had nothing to worry about but she still cared, despite trying to put up a tough front.

"I told you not to worry," Bada reassured. "There's nothing to be scared of."

"Yeah, I know." Y/N smiled back nervously, squeezing Bada's hand. "I'm just a bit worried about what they'll say about the girls."

Y/N and Bada have been dating for three years, a secret known only to their team. The team frequently teased the pair, even referring to them as their parents.

While Y/N and Bada wouldn't admit it to anyone, they were secretly terrified of the reactions they would receive if they made their relationship public. The team was their safe space, but the outside world was full of judgements and potential consequences. Despite their love, they weren't sure if it was a risk they could take.

Y/N was now more energized and focused as the video playing of the other teams talking about them began. "Who's the most successful there? Bada and Y/N" Y/N rolled her eyes when she saw Mina talking

"Bada is taking over the choreography world," Lia Kim said making Y/N squeeze Bada's hand, her smile growing wider.

"Why don't we get closer" Bada suggested, now that the girls were offering up their harsh criticism. Y/N and her members followed along, stopping near her.

"Bada and Y/N are more popular than their own talent"

"Y/N is just a pretty face nothing more. When you see her dance you don't get excited"

"When you look at her students they just look like Bada's copycats." a member of Mannequin said

Y/N let out a chuckle, she was starting to become really frustrated, everything they said wasn't true. They felt threatened by her members since they are young and talented, of course they're up for criticism but not this harsh

Then Mina showed up once more and Y/N knew that she was gonna talk about her again. "Y/N may profess to be a dancer, but in reality, she's just a little poser, someone who tries too hard to be cool and trendy without having the true skills or experience to back it up. Honestly if it wasn't for her pretty face and-" Mina paused, holding her fingers up and gently brushing them together, indicating money in a gesture. "No agency would accept her. She's BEBEs downfall,"

Y/N knew that she and Mina had a history of disagreements. Although Mina had started it, that didn't mean she had to downgrade and not credit the girl about her hard work over the years. While it was true that her family was wealthy, it didn't mean that her success came simply from her privileged background. She had put in the time and effort to make her dreams a reality.

Y/N disliked Mina for sure, but she would never speak of her in such a condescending and harsh manner. The words Mina used went beyond criticism

Before she could say anything, Bada beat her to it. The tall girl let out a chilly laugh, her sharp gaze drawing everyone's attention. Y/N looked at her girlfriend, her tongue pressed against her cheek as she stared at the TV. Her arms were resting on her head and her expression was bland and emotionless.

"I didn't like that." Bada said, her tone cold, she returned to her seat, her body language stiff and her eyes filled with cold fury. Y/N was well aware of her mood, knowing that her girlfriend was extremely angry. She could feel the tension build in the air, and she was certain that Bada was not about to forgive and forget the matter. If anything, it seemed like she was about to unleash a storm.

"Calm down, you know what she said wasn't true, it was just meant to get under your skin." The younger girl, Cheche, said to the couple as they sat down.

Bada could not calm down. Not when someone spoke to Y/N in that way. She didn't mind if people said whatever they wanted to her, it didn't bother her at all. But when they talked about Y/N, that's when her temper flared. She was protective of her girlfriend and would always stand up for her against any kind of disrespect or unfair treatment. Y/N was her main priority, and it didn't matter what anyone else thought. Bada was not about to let anyone step on her or Y/N in any way, shape or form. As for Mina Young she her team will have it coming

A large text appeared on the screen, stating "NO RESPECT." It stayed there for a few seconds, drawing the attention of the whole room. Y/N's eyes widened as she saw that she had received five NO RESPECTs, and she couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

"Cute" Y/N said showing her her girlfriend the stickers she got, Bada looked at her and smiled, hugging her sideways.

After Tsubakill, Mannequin and Wolf'lo's evaluation video was over, it was now Deep n Daps' turn. Y/N and Bada both sat up straight, eagerly awaiting for them. The tension was thick in the air, and everyones eyes were on the duo

Yells could be heard coming from the green team as they entered the large studio, their voices echoing off the walls. Mina felt someone's eyes on her while they were walking downstairs. She looked over at the BEBE team and was startled to see the hostile glare from Y/N and Bada. The tension was thick, and Mina felt her heart rate quicken as she felt a chill run down her spine.

She gulped and broke eye contact, making Y/N scoff and shake her head. But Bada was still glaring at Mina until her team sat down, and the evaluation for Deep n Daps finally began.

After every team was done, the staff informed the girls that they could now go change for their upcoming No Respect battle.

Y/N entered the changing room, she wore her white low rise sweatpants, which made her figure pop. A baby blue scoop back bra emphasized her features and added a touch of style. She grabbed her Bebe jersey with her name on the back, but Bada grabbed her making her flinch.

"You scared me"

"You get scared easily baby" "Bada chuckled and said,

Y/N playfully rolled her eyes and pouted her lips. Bada gave her signature smile and kissed her softly, drawing her close as she caressed her cheek.

"Here," Bada offered, passing her jersey over "Wear mine and I'll wear yours" Y/N sighed, about to say no, when Bada interrupted. "No one will mistake us for a couple. Best friends exchange clothes all the time," Bada explained, her words making perfect sense.

"But it's not just any jersey, Bada. It has your name on it," Y/N protested.

Bada groaned, her forehead meeting Y/N's. "Come on," she pleaded.

"Bada-"

Bada cut her off, kissing her tenderly. Y/N melted into the kiss, giving in to the moment. Their eyes were closed, their minds focused solely on the feeling of their mouths meeting.

Their kiss was stopped, as they were interrupted by a sudden knock at the door. 'Keep it PG, bitches,' Tatter's voice rang out, followed by the light laughter of the other girls.

"Here," Y/N gave her jersey to Bada "We need to get going if we don't want to be late," she adds.

She then promptly pulls the jersey over her head, her shoulders slipping into the fabric, the the jersey falling down past her hips and to her thighs.

"LETS GO BADA LEE!" Y/N cheered, full of energy as it is her girlfriend's turn to dance. Redy picking Bada as her no respect dancer was a big mistake, but nonetheless Y/N loved the confidence

Y/N laughed as Bada came really close to Redy, mocking her for her height, she didn't even look at her she just looked above her head. She was really glad she was tall, almost as Bada, so her girlfriend couldn't tease Y/N about her height

Y/N's eyes remained fixed on Bada's body, her gaze never wavering from the dancer. She saw Bada dance a hundred times and it still left her speechless "SEXY!," Y/N exclaimed, she shook Tatters's shoulder, trying to contain her excitement.

As Bada's dance ended, everyone were on the edge of their seats, waiting eagerly to see which card the judges would display. The BEBE team erupted with joy and excitement, jumping up and down as all three judges turned over BEBE's card. Y/N quickly embraced Bada, her arms tightly wrapped around her girlfriend

After an hour of everyone battling each other, Y/N went up against Redlic and Mimi, she won both battles securing more wins for BEBE

"Y/N of BEBE, please pick your No Respect Dancer" the host Kang Daniel called out her name making her smirk as her eyes immediately met with Minas

As Y/N stood up, her friends cheered loudly for her and began patting her shoulder

"The dancer I don't respect is Mina Myoung from Deep N Dap," Y/N immediately stated, not wasting any time to think about the decision.

A collective "Ooh" could be heard as Mina slowly rose to her feet. She wouldn't admit it but she was anxious about this battle, already knowing she will loose

As Mina stood in front of Y/N, she brought the microphone to her lips. "You talk too much, Mina," she stated confidently, turning over the mic to Tatter. Bada cheered loudly in support of her girlfriend. Even those from other teams, who had developed a growing dislike towards the Deep N Dap leader, joined in the celebration.

"Truth hurts Y/N," Mina's voice cracked, a subtle but clear sign of her anger. "This battle will prove what I said," she continued, her words filled with determination and confidence.

Y/N chuckled as she witnessed Mina's annoyance. She then offered a mocking curtsy in anticipation of the upcoming battle.

"Y/N of BEBE will attack first, then Mina of Deep N Dap. Are you guys ready?" Kang Daniel announced, building suspense for the upcoming battle.

While waiting for her song to begin, Y/N began a small warmup, stretching and testing her body's agility, Bada playfully smacked her ass, which earned her a playful glare from Y/N.

As the song "Money" by Cardi B began to play, Y/N took her position, her smirk becoming even more prominent. With that, she began moving, making gestures that were reminiscent of handling money. Mina noticed this and scoffed in disbelief, knowing that Y/N had chosen this song because of what she said about her buying her career.

She was mocking her and everyone seemed to pick up because they started laughing and cheering which only pushed Mina to the edge

Y/N approached with a confident step, and as she came closer, she bit the end of the jersey and lifted it, exposing her stomach. She then gave Mina a disgusted look and went back to her spot

"FUCK YEAH!" Bada screeched, throwing the banner into the air with enthusiasm and excitement, unable to sit still for a single second as she watched Y/N's performance, her attitude and her movements driving her crazy. Every moment of her dance was filled with passion, energy and style, completely owning the stage and commanding everyone's attention. Her girlfriend, Bada, was just one of many witnesses who were blown away by her performance.

The song ended, and Y/N, after blowing a kiss at Mina, turned away, clearly satisfied with her dance.

"SWITCH!" Daniel said and the song changed Mina got into her position, ready to give it her all in hopes of matching the incredible performance that Y/N had just put on.

Mina began to dance, crawling and rolling along the floor, and Y/N was not surprised. This seemed to be the only move that Mina knew how to do. As Y/N turned to her friends, she couldn't help but laugh, but when she saw that they were not laughing, but instead looking panicked, she grew confused.

"MOVE," they all shouted, but it was too late. Mina's feet hit Y/N straight in the nose, making her yelp in surprise and pain. She stumbled back, clutching her nose as she tried to control the flood of emotions coursing through her.

Mina got up immediately and made her way over to Y/N. She didn't mean to hurt her, that hadn't been her intention. She was only trying to do a move with a handstand that she'd managed to execute a few weeks ago, but something went wrong and it didn't go as she'd planned. Her concern for Y/N outweighed all other fears, "Are you alright?" She was genuinely concerned, having never wanted to cause the girl any harm, especially while they were both competing. "Im so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you Im really-"

Mina didn't get a chance to finish her sentence as Bada and the other members pushed her away. Bada almost lost her shit when she spotted the blood pouring from Y/N's nose. She grabbed her head and moved her hand, wincing at the sight of the girl's bloody nose.

"It hurts," Y/N said through clenched teeth, a few tears escaping despite her best efforts, the pain was becoming too much for her to control. Her competitors gathered around, a look of concern on their faces as they watched her struggle.

"Is she alright?"

"What happened?"

"That kick was nasty, her nose is probably broken"

Even the judges stood up, trying to see if she was alright.

"Paramedics are on the way Bada you go with her," Kang Daniel told the tall girl and she nodded, her hands still shaking. She grabbed Y/N's arms, but the girl refused to move.

"No, I need to see who won," Y/N said with determination, and Bada looked at her dumbfounded.

The judges were left shocked and speechless, yet they decided to continue with the show.

"So we're just gonna ignore what happened at the end and focus on the rest?" Monika stated, and the other two nodded in agreement. Y/N stared at the judges, feeling anxious yet hopeful for the win. When she saw the blue cards raised, she immediately threw herself into Bada's arms, holding her tightly in a hug.

Mina clapped, her eyes clouded with tears. She turned to Y/N and gave a deep bow. "You deserved that, and I'm really sorry I didn't mean to hurt you."

Y/N offered Mina a small smile and said, "Good work." She knew that Mina hadn't intended to kick her, but that wouldn't change the fact that she had said unpleasant things about her earlier and she wasn't going to forgive her

Bada still glared at the leader, grabbing Y/N's hands and moving backstage where the paramedics were already in place. The two of them sat down on chairs, as the paramedics worked on checking Y/N's nose. Bada was still holding Y/N's hand tightly

"You're gonna break my hand," Y/N managed to say, cracking a smile

"Shut up, you don't know how worried I am," Bada muttered.

"At least I won," Y/N teased the older girl, drawing a groan from her.

"Y/N, it's not the time to joke, you're hurt," Bada chided her girlfriend, now in a more caring tone.

"Good news," the paramedic told them. "It's not broken, but I'll be placing some cottons just in case she bleeds again, which is normal after a hard kick."

"Thank you," Y/N and Bada thanked the paramedic as he exited the room. As Y/N leaned on Bada's shoulder, she cursed when she accidentally hit her nose.

"Yah, do you want to bleed again?" Bada scolded her.

"Sorry," Y/N laughed. "I was too excited to hug you." She placed her hands on her waist, still smiling despite the pain.

"Idiot," Bada chuckled, placing a kiss on top of her head. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Y/N spoke breaking the silence

"Baby?"

"Yeah?" Bada looked at her girlfriend who was already looking at her

"Would you still love me if I was a member of Deep n' DAP?" Y/N smirked as Bada's smile faltered. Y/N knew that Bada absolutely hated the rival team, and she was having fun teasing her because of it.

Bada let out a frustrated sigh as she heard her lover's words "No"

"Hey," Y/N smacked Bada's shoulder lightly, causing her to laugh in response.

"I was kidding, of course I would," Bada said with a hint of playfulness. "I'd make you change teams."

"Hm, that wouldn't be hard, you're very convincing," Y/N agreed

Bada pecked Y/N's lips, being careful to not hit her nose. "You did really good today," she told her, "I'm proud of you. I love you."

"I love you more," Y/N replied, blushing, and she leaned her head on Bada's shoulder. She felt safe and comforted with Bada, she was one of the only people who could bring out this side of her, and Y/n loved it.

ooh. hm. fuck. i think my first thought is always gonna be my longer-running threads with @chaoslulled — the one that stands out the most in my mind rn is the thread where satoru found seph on the brink of collapse after a hellhound kill. it was only the second thread we ever wrote together, and i ACUTELY remember how nervous i was that it was too intense and i was gonna scare hol away with it because that's happened so many times before. SJDHKSJHD

another one that comes to mind is one of my first threads with @tewwor's litho, which started with the simple inbox prompt "can't sleep?" and ended up turning into one of our longest threads to date and spiraling out into the longest fucking slowburn of this blog's career. i loved it. i'll never stop thinking about that apple.

my natlan review that nobody asked for

(contains spoilers also I'm a little hater)

I really want to like Natlan as it was one of the nations that I was more curious about (second to khaenriah), pyro is my favorite element and the premise was so good being a secluded nation with dragons and volcanoes, you know what I mean (and also as a Latina, I was pretty excited to see the cultural elements) But so far I have mixed feelings on the story, leaning more to a dissapointment more than a sucess..

The characters are good, but they are not charming. There is a certain appeal missing that others did have (in contrast with Fontaine cast for instance, Natlan´s just bland) but maybe that´s just me.. or they get overshadowed by the design quality. I fail to see uniqueness when it comes to the personalities and that makes me not care for them as much? I´m really trying to though, but so far it´s only "I guess this is happening now" kind of situation and following along until it takes off (hopefully).

I gotta say despite all criticism regarding her design, I did like Mavuika a lot from the PV. She looked promising and I´m all in for the baddie look, but upon meeting her I´m just not quite convinced. I´m torn between "we just don't know her well enough yet, there must be some revelation" to " she is just a good archon". There some aspects that leaves you 🤨 like the fact she was so open and trustworthy from moment 0, we get to look into her plans, even though she did pretend at some point it was quickly cleared up... I wonder if this Good Archon thing is just them setting up her eventual death so it hits deeper? One thing I liked a lot: Her human background (it was so funny when they brought up the fact that humans can ascend to Gods, like.. I haven´t seen it mentioned since fricking Mondstat) getting to take a peak into her life as human and her family was just!! I love this!! There is definetely a lot of potential for her in this regard which hopefully won't get wasted so we will have to see. My only fear is if it´s another I sacrifice my life for my people again... please give something else I swear 😭

On the other hand Capitano was a treat for the most part! I'm curious about how the whole fighting for Nathan plays out since he is so fond of it for some reason. The fight was pretty good. Please don't ever reveal his face.

Notes on the overall aesthetic: This is more of a nitpick but since I´ve seen a ton of people talking about it, the clash between medieval/fantasy and scifi and traditional is just a no for me. It does feel Original, it stands out, but I would much more prefer it if it was another game?? a stand alone? I feel like the differences with previous nations is just abbysmal in a way that feels out of place. There are some settings you would look at and think even if it's not aesthetically pleasing in the whole picture is still "on brand" but I just can't get used to it. I would understand if this was an universe like star rail where there's interestellar travelling, you can expect to see a wide range of technology and fashion and so on. But genshin's just.. they are all on the same continent with literally no barriers except Inazuma Why are you like this lol. I'm thinking about how Khaenriah would be portrayed as the peak of technological advancement when Natlan gets to have all this flashy fashion and motorcycles 😭 (I get that the genshin concept of modernity doesn't comply with our irl concept of modernity but it's still aughjhh) the sight of rider Mavuika is just crazy.

Likewise with Fontaine the landscapes didn't cause me an impression so I don't have much to say about it other than it's ok overall, but when I got to see Ochkanatlan it was.. now this is it!!! I'm not sure I can be objective bc I'm a sucker for abandoned and eerie places, being a whole different vibe from the tribes I think I would have preferred the whole nation followed this aesthetic instead (maybe more lively since people live there) It sparks a good balance between ancient and modern, with just a good measure of the genshin fantasy. Also the music goes particularly hard here?? Completely biased but the world quest here entertained me more than the archon quest so far so I don't know how to feel about this fact. Please consider @ writer team.

I can´t talk much about the representation bc this is a very personal matter being inspired from several countries and cultures, what I saw it´s interesting and I guess novel? but since the story and characters don´t follow it just feels empty (overall, I try not to give much attention to this aspect bc it would completely ruin the experience for me) I'm just tired.

In most of the fan art, you see people who draw them looking the same age pre-age up, because Damian is really short at 13. And people started to ship them when Jon is 10 year old child. You don't date a child when you're a teen, or date a 14 year old teen and being a college student, that is weird.

In my previous vent post is referring to the weird age gap ship, and the maturity of different ages and mentalities when characters are being ship together. That I can understand, because a few years ago(when I was young and dumb!! and didn't/unable to use my brain to think clearly!!!) I used to think the weird age gap was nothing but now I'm looking back and regret the weird ship I used to ship and draw (Toph and Sokka), I don't ship them anymore + Suki x Sokka superior!!

I have deleted some of Toph and Sokka art and the remaining ones have changed titles and tags to platonic sense. I didn't delete them all because they are still part of my (dumb and reckless!!!) art journey and the things that I'm now getting over and will not ever draw as a ship again.

Because I'm the only one constantly making contents about her and love her as a character and the only person here on Tumblr who wants to talk about/express my love for her through my art for nearly three years.

And I can't speak up when they want to tools Nika and Respawn for their own ships and set them up as toxic made up characters in their head?!? Not all of the shippers/fic writers do this but still, I'm meant by the misconception fanons that spin out of control… then SOMETIMES THE ACTUAL COMICS WRITES(different ones/weird ones) WOULD MAKE IT CANON AND DAMAGE THE CHARACTERS‼️IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE‼️‼️

I know the shippers and the fandom will always be there because of the internet. And I can't control it, so I set up boundaries now by speaking up and defend my favorite characters while I still can.

I absolutely agree.

I hope by now most of our followers have noticed that we never criticise fanart and fanfic in here. It's never been featured on this blog. What we feature here are prejudiced metas concerning the canon. We call out ableist, misogynistic (etc) takes about the canon characters. Takes that are trying to "explain" what happened in canon to other fans using veiled misogyny, ableism, victim blaming and anti-autistic bias. Those can have harmful repercussions irl, and we feel we must fight against those prejudices.

However fanfic and fanart are not that at all. Fanfic and fanart are not canon by definition, and are so subjective that they can have thousands of interpretations, so we feel it's not our (or anyone's) place to judge.

It's like playing with your Barbie dolls. You can do what you want with them, it's mostly harmless. If someone wants to make Aziraphale the villain in a fic? Go ahead, that falls into headcanon territory, and headcanon is not canon, it's anyone's land. I personally won't read that specific fic, but you can write it. I'm pretty sure I'd write stuff someone wouldn't read too, it's all ok. The problem is when they start to spread this as canon.

Now it must be said, of course some fics can be triggering (like every art out there), but in my 4 year experience in this fandom, 99% of fics are properly tagged, authors usually overtag for safety, so if you see a fic with a theme you don't like, it's easy to avoid it. Even fanart is tagged in the GO fandom, which is not something I see in every fandom out there. And besides, speaking of fanart specifically, it's so subjective bc what you see there may be just a metaphorical interpretation of feelings and not literal. So if you start scrutinising that you end up falling into censorship territory and that's shady.

Because of all that, we try to focus on calling out bad takes regarding the canon facts only.

That being said, in order to do that sometimes we try to analyse the overall situation of the fandom, bc many ppl try to impose fanon as canon in those metas, consciously or not. So while doing that, we may make commentaries on some fanon stuff, including the most common portrayals of the characters in fanwork. But trust that this is not a criticism of the fanworks at all. Again, it's just an attempt to separate the canon from the fanon, and to try to study the situation to see where the bad takes are coming from. In other words, fanon can be one of multiple tools to understand the fandom's mindset, and we make use of it. Is it possible that we may have (or will) missed the tone while addressing that and come across as if we're criticising fanworks? Of course, we're human, but trust that's not where we're coming from, and we appreciate criticism so we can be better :)

But honestly, if someone writes a fic where Aziraphale and Crowley are a toxic homophobic straight couple that ends up cheating on each other with the Metatron and divorcing, I couldn't care less. Have fun with your Barbies (but pls tag your fic lol).

I know this is a theme discussed over and over in fandoms, but I tried to give my two cents here, and believe me, this blog absolutely believes in "headcanon and let headcanon". Our problem is with ppl spreading misinformation about the canon.

So the two plots stolen from Genshin is the Chenyu Vale story quest, and I've forgotten the second one, oops- I thiiiink it's kinda like the Mondstadt festival (the one where u have to pick that fuckin flower and it didn't matter abracafuckyou /lh)

LOOKING AT MY THINGS THERE WERE MORE okay hold on-

So the concept of the campaign is every character is a fallen god who's forgotten their divine life, and they regain a shred of their memory and now must find a way to ascend due to the fact that only Whole Mortals can reincarnate/be reborn, but if you die as a mortal-body divine-soul That's It (yadda yadda, non-dnd approved type shit; there are actually multiple ways they could go about it but I have no idea what they'll do beyond revive the sun) - One player didn't do that, but it's fine, he is instead POSESSED by a goddess, it's chill, and I adore his backstory and he's the only one with a backstory tightly interwoven with the world's lore and local area the campaign takes place in he is THE ONLY MAN WHO MATTERS T O M E (/j)

The Genshin Quests that I have plots for bc I stole them are as follows; Natzissenkreuz Ordo, Chenyu Vale, and the Windblume Festival. Ignore the fact that I'm responding backwards. But the pressure did work 👀 now I just need it to happen again because I blinked, and a month rolled around. I thought it was at most a week but no, my sense of time is fucked.

I'm so bad at names, and I barely do the story in any game I play unless I'm forced to (I missed an event in ZZZ because I wasn't on the third chapter yet ;-;). So I don't remember if I've done, seen, or even heard of the Chenyu Vale story, but I do know Mondstadt, at least.

I love it when my friends actually get invested enough with my imagination/ideas that they actually tie things into the ever-working narrative ;u; sometimes I feel like people don't do it because (they don't fucking care lol) they don't want to overstep on something that's made up by you. I understand, but man, it feels so uplifting when it happens. Keep that man alive. Are you planning on revealing parts of their divine life as the campaign goes on? I remember watching this youtube short about DND where they basically say that each player is given a blank sheet, and as they progress through the story they learn more things about their characters based on outside reactions.

I only know Windblume Festival but if it's a required quest/event quest, then I've most likely played the others. But yess, feel absolutely free to dump all your DND lore since I know you can't say it to your players unless you reveal too much. I thought I saw recently they stopped streaming? But today it's trending again so I'm assuming there's a new season with the qsmp? I've been thinking about starting to watch but I have no idea where to start or what to do for mini history lessons or anything.

This is gonna be a long one, bear with me

So, first you must know that DSMP and QSMP are two different SMPs, so two completely different servers, they're not actually connected through lore, so you don't need to know anything about DSMP to start QSMP, you'll only miss some very minor references to the DSMP story, but that's done and the characters are completely different from the ones in the QSMP. Think less of a second season to a same story or even something in the same franchise and more a new series where part of the cast used to act for another series together before and sometimes they'll throw in some cheeky refences

Some terms you need to know first:

cc!Name = content creator Name (so like, the irl person, not the character)

c!Name = character name (the roleplay character, not the irl person, coined by the DSMP and thus used mostly for DSMP characters specifically)

q!Name = qsmp c!Name (to be more specific about the server)

k!Name = karmaland c!Name (Karmaland is a very famous spanish speaking server with a bunch of season in which Quackity played in season 5, some of the spanish speakers come from there and Quackity's possible romantic tension with Luzu also comes from there)

The QSMP is Quackity's server, where the main thing is that Quackity as a mexican bilingual guy who for the longest time streamed in english and this past years started streaming in spanish and growing a new spanish community, joins both of his communities, bringing spanish speaking and english speaking streamers together

They all have their own perspectives you can choose to follow and the server is less than a month old, so you're in high time to cath up! Wilbur for example has only 3 streams up to now as he went away for 28 days

The main story is that all the streamers were brought into Quesadilla island on strange trains, none of them knowing why. Once there, they had to solve some puzzles to give the island electric power again. Once done, they were alerted of a button placed high up on a wall separating the island in two, with half of them on one side and half on the other. They were told by a duck who manages the island that they should never press the button

So they press the button and the wall explodes. At this point they're told they can now never leave, so they better make themselves comfortable

A bit later, the duck tells them a massive dragon used to inhabit the island, but due to their noisiness, it flew away leaving behind eggs. So everyone on the island adopted them from an adoption center the duck set up, in pairs chosen randomly with tickets where the only rule was that every spanish speaker was to be paired with an english speaker and vice versa

So they all have kids to take care of until the dragon comes back now, under the threat of each egg having 2 lives, where everyone has tondo daily challenges and tasks to keep them alive, being told that uf the egg dies they'll be punished once the dragon comes back

There's a lot of lore with the eggs in the little time they've been present. The most famous ones are probably Juanaflippa (Charlie Slimecicle and Mariana's trans daugher, who was accidentally killed by Mariana, brought back to life after a trial with Charlie ready to kill the whole server for her, and accidentally getting killed by Mariana again), Tilín (Quackity's enby kid, his other parent was a mystery between Wilbur and Luzu, the two ones not present for the event and constantly away, with Quackity outright declaring Wilbur to be his absent partner now that he came back but Luzu having later on pulled the ticket to Tilín's egg. Tilín died to an accident by Slime's hand. Quackity blames himself a but and wants revenge, he is grieving and suffering and is unloading it onto Wilbur, trying to get him to help in killing the culprit for his kid's death, with Wilbur accepting not knowing it's Charlie, whom he considers his best friend) and more recently, Tallulah (a secret egg Wilbur found on the attic of the adoption center just yesterday, who looks exactly like him and is now his daughter. Quackity, grieving and feeling like Wilbur is mocking him by having a daughter when he wasn't there when Tilín was, almost killed her as soon as Wilbur left, but decided not to at the last second, becoming emotional)

I'll give you a very quick (it's a two year thing, this is still long as hell, sorry) rundown of the very basics of the DSMP story that could be referenced (specifically by Wilbur and Quackity):

In the DSMP everyone has 3 canon lives.

Wilbur made a nation with his little brother figure Tommy, it was called L'manburg and they had to fight a war for its independence. After some treason and losses (everyone lost one life against an ex trusted comrade, Eret, brunging all of L'manburg down to 2 lives), they eventually win it (with Tommy down to 1 life) and Wilbur becomes president because nobody opposed it. Later on, Wilbur tries to make a show election to make his power seem more legitimate and get his people to listen to him, this comes back to bite him in the ass however, when newcomer Quackity says he's gonna run before they can close the ballot, so now there's 2 opposing parties. As the elections approach, Wilbur and Tommy get a drunk old guy called Schlatt whom they knew as an endorsement for their party, but Schlatt says "fuck you actually, I'm announcing I'm gonna run too", so now there's 4 parties (Wilbur's son, Fundy, announces he'll run too, but that doesn't get too far). Wilbur proposes to Quackity to make a coalition only in case Schlatt wins, so they'd join their votes only if Schlatt overtook them, and Quackity, left with a clear disadvantage in that scenario, decides to do a coalition with Schlatt, where joining votes, Schlatt would be president, with Quackity as his vice. Schlatt and Quackity (Schlatt 2020 + SWAG 2020) win against Wilbur and Tommy (POG 2020), and Schlatt exiles them, killing Wilbur as they ran away (leaving Wilbur with 1 life)

Now exiled, Wilbur and Tommy make a home in a ravine called Pogtopia, with Wilbur's paranoia, trauma and self hatred growing by the hour. Lots of stuff happens, Wilbur becomes very suicidal, there's new people, there's treason, Quackity, abused by Schlatt as his now husband, takes one of his lives and joins Pogtopia. Wilbur is now convinced he is the bad guy, the one responsible for everything bad happening and that the only way to make things right is to kill both himself and his creation. He wants to blow up L'manburg and he's not planning to come out of it alive. Everyone else doesn't pay enough attention to notice how awful he's doing so they don't quite see this coming even though they stopped him in a few if his attempts on his own life

Technoblade joins them not long after they're exiled, a good friend of Wilbur's father and an amazing warrior on their side. Technoblade bends against pressure and kills an ally during a festival made to mock them

The final war of Pogtopia vs Manburg happens, Schlatt dies of a hear attack, shocked, Wilbur is declared president, who declares Tommy president in his place, who declares their friend Tubbo presiden in his place. Wilbur disappears saying he'll come back in a bit. He'w going to the button room connected to the TNT he planted under L'manburg

Phil, Wilbur's father, comes, trying to talk to him, asking if he's sure of what he's doing. Wilbur, overcome by sadness, blows up L'manburg and asks for Phil to kill him. Phil stabs him with a fire aspect sword, killing him

Technoblade unleashes withers, opposing the mere idea of government and betraying the Pogtopians, making the explosion damage even worse

Now without Wilbur, L'manburg rebuilds, with a vital missing piece. Ghostbur, Wilbur's ghost appears and reveals a LOT about just how traumatized, anxious, depressed and paranoid Wilbur was from the beginning, crying on his pillow every night as president. Lots of stuff happens, Tubbo is trying to deal with the pressure of being president while the people who tried to squash their nation from the very beginning (mainly Dream) are trying to manipulate him and drive him into a corner. He exiles Tommy. Tommy gains a fuck ton of trauma and almost tries to commit suicide after a while, deciding not to at the last second

Quackity meanwhile, now as part of the cabinet, wants to take revenge against Techno. He goes to hunt him down, taking him to be executed. Techno saves himself with a totem and has a confrontation with Quackity, where he win by, in his own words, putting a pickaxe through Quackity's teeth. Now Quackity has a massive scar in his face and a blind eye

L'manburg is later destroyed by Phil, Techno and Dream, betraying everyone again and leaving them all hurting and homeless. Ghostbur considers being revived as he believes himself to be useless, as Wilbur was good at rallying people (yes, this is an extension of Wilbur's suicidal ideation). The attempts at revival don't quite work

Quackity makes his own nation surrounding the idea of a casino, Las Nevadas, he's rich and powerful and finally the president

Wilbur gets revived after an incident where trying to kill dream, Tommy gets Ghostbur killed with Dream's revivebook (long story, just accept that that exists)

Quackity meets a slime pretending to be a person and starts to teach him about the world. He calls him Charlie. Charlie ends up making him reflect and teaching him about the futility of the cycle of revenge

Quackity loses Charlie to this very cycle, getting him killed by Purpuled for something Quackity did

Wilbur, fucked up mental health wise as ever and lacking purpose, goes into Las Nevadas, trying to join but getting denied for being "too volatile"

Wilbur decides to set up a rival burger business just outside the Las Nevadas borders out of pettiness, and Quackity, exactly as petty as him, runs with it and spites him even more

Their whole thing at this point is very gay. They flirted since the start of this whole story, but by this point Wilbur's slipping about Quackity being hot, he says he doesn't quite have a crush "yet" definitely. Quackity's staring at him through his windows while he twirls poker chips around his fingers, admitting to himself that he's excited about whatever bullshit Wilbur will try to make up to annoy him this week, preparing himself for Wilbur to enter his office with fully served glasses and a cool pose that leaves Wilbur momentarily speechless. It's gay as hell

Quackity offers Wilbur to be his vice. Wilbur sees it as insulting and refuses. Wilbur attempts to verbally stomp Quackity but gets verbally smited himself

Wilbur decides to kill Quackity's old horse as a symbol of Quackity forgetting his roots. This goes horribly wrong and they both accidentally kill Ranboo, a friend and Wilbur's now coworker

Wilbur blames himself and goes on an apology tour, trying to say his goodbyes for the last time

After apologizing to Tommy, wilbur "goes to Utah, where he comes from" (this can be interpreted in two ways: as him literally going to Utah and getting away, or as a metaphor for death, indicating Wilbur probably took his own life again, as he said in his mind the perfect afterlife was a desert and showed himself to still be very suicidal during all of this. This is referenced cheekily in QSMP with cc!Wilbur saying "Minecraft Uath doesn't exist and is definitely not a metaphor for death /s")

Quackity, having lost Charlie, goes on about it in a very normal way and makes an army of slimes, trained to be exactly like Charlie. Purpuled and Punz (two bounty hunters) get what remais of Slime and prepare him to go against Quackity. There's a fight, Charlie takes Quackity's second life

Now defeated, Quackity rescinds the cycle of revenge, apologizing as well, leaving even a letter at the place where Wilbur was last seen and one st Techno's house, and he finally opens his casino

This is where their particular stories end. Everything after doesn't matter, believe me

Gel Clings/Window Stickies

Here's pics of some of the gel clings I bought as fic research! The halloween ones were first and would you believe me :) if i said they were on my window until the beginning of this month (march) and then. i sat on this post for 3 weeks DHSKFJH

Fic research notes below:

I got all of these from target btw!! some of them in the seasonal section, some of them in that dollar section. okay so things i have learned:

BUGS. will stick in these. i thought my room was a bug free zone until i woke up to like three of those little tiny (idet they're fruit flies) stuck to the surfaces.

Follow up point. IF. u try and wipe those bugs out normally, and they're not fresh, they will crumble into little bug dust and get all sorts of stuck in your gel cling. so either catch them early (you won't. ness might if he's checking them every day but these things become bg noise for me) or carefully pluck them out with your fingers wrapped in a paper towel or smth. or resign yourself to bug dust <3

they Will rip if you are too rough with them

FOLLOW UP POINT, they rip much easier when they've been sitting in the sun for five months and u decide now's the time to switch them out :)

sitting in the sun makes them soft and hot and floppy!! they feel thinner and more delicate than the fresh ones

sitting in the sun for five months also gives them a distinct scent that, if i was feeling generous, i would describe as "sun-warmed." and if i was feeling Not generous, i would describe as "melted plastic" aDHSKJDS

they don't actually catch as much hair/dust as i would've expected?

BOO, i hate putting together the ones like the taco where there's multiple parts. they're kind of annoying to line up (this was seconded by someone else irl)

LOL i actually did have ones that said trick or treat but they were ugly and i dropped them on the floor behind a stack of boxes and forgot it existed until after i took this photo. so point being. sometimes u buy the set just for one or two cute things in it. (i can't remember if it was the pumpkins or the BOO; that pic includes 3 mish-mashed sets)

IF i had space for it, there is no way i would've taken down the halloween ones so now all i can think of is ness and crew slowly filling up their window w/ all these miscellaneous holiday gel clings until it's filled up (bc. idt any of them could bear saying no to Ness one's he's started it this way, and soleil would take his cue from the others)

actually (and this is why i do fic research) thinking more about those implications and, ahh,, atm at least, i think soleil would genuinely be the first to break and clear up the window (some). athena would be too enamored with ness filling up all this space on his own even if it bothers her a bit, cyrill would genuinely think it looks hilarious and send pics to his family gc every time new clings go up, and ray would be too unbothered to care either way, esp when his partners aren't super bothered. but soleil has the most practice saying no to ness/re-routing him into smth else, and he Would like to be able to look outside again, actually.

I'm gonna try my best not to get overly technical. However, on top of being a deep interest of mine hematology/transfusion medicine is literally my occupation so... we will see :)

Okay so there is two main tracks of thought that my brain tends to go down with that. Either they are same/similar to human blood types (boring, but also super technical in my mind what the tiny differences would be, like how the fuck would ghoul hematology work?! I have thoughts) or the idea that I like A LOT more which is blood types related to element.

Quick actual blood primer: People know the concept of ABO blood types (A/B/O/AB) but those are just specific types within the ABO group. Fun fact, there are lots of other groups/systems on blood that each have their own expression on cells.

I think that element related ghoul blood types would either work within one system like ABO type, or each be their own group. Them each being their own group makes a lot more sense though especially for the existence of multi ghouls.

I think it would be did you inherit two copies of type (a) of the gene which would be no expression of that element, type (b) full expression, or both (a,b) which is muted expression or only potential to express that element. At first I thought that might make multis too common, but I think that most of the time one would need that full (b+/b+) typing to truly be that element, otherwise you would just sort of have a general feel for that element (and be able to get transfusions from them but also how likely would the ghouls need blood).

So like for multis like Swiss he just would either have full expression of multiple elements, or just be lucky with them tending to express well (or hes just really good at pulling at that partial element within himself as it ties to magic).

However in Dew's case, I like to think the process of him flipping from Water to Fire would be more like how bone marrow transplants work where afterwards you have the donor blood type but your original type can still be seen on tissue cells so you wouldn't react negatively to your original type. Like he probably had compatible fire grouping genes but now that fire is just the predominant element within him.

Anyways as far as ghoul blood transfusion would go, which I will spare you long thoughts about that but will get technical again, it would simply be do you have any expression of that element in which case you would be fine, or if you didn't at all would you make an antibody to it I guess. Real world example again: for other types outside of ABO, antibodies to the types you don't have on your cells are only made after exposure to that antigen and even then sometimes you don't make an immune response and would be good in theory to be transfused that blood again and again until you developed an immune response (some systems are more responsive than others and that would not be done fyi).

If ghoul elemental blood types acted inside the same system though, you would need to transfuse type compatible (in which case multis have more options for blood to receive) or you would need type specific. In that case though I think that Quintessence ghouls would sort of act similar to type O people irl in that they would be a universal red blood cell donor and any element could receive quintessence red cells.

Important things to remember !

I can be slow. I have a life outside of tumblr. Sometimes I will reply in 0.2 seconds, sometimes it will take me a couple of weeks, more or less. It all depends on my energy and what my muse is leaning towards at the moment, plus there are a lot of factors like my irl schedule, my family, or my mental and physical health that can affect how much time and energy I can spare for writing. I literally have things in my drafts from three months ago because I am a Mess. My reply speed isn't a direct reflection of my interest, and if for any reason either of us decides we're not feeling a thread anymore, that's fine. And it IS okay to ask and make sure I got your reply / starter / ask / etc if you think I might have missed it bc I am forgetful and tumblr's notifications suck most of the time, I don't consider that to be pressuring me.

I have bad social anxiety. I'm working on getting better about it and have been for the past several years, but I have a disorder, so sometimes I'm having to actively work against my own funky brain chemistry. I'm not the greatest at reaching out or carrying on conversations; I'm shy, and I blank out a lot. Even if we're friends and have known each other for a while, I still have these moments, and it's never personal. I welcome ooc communication, but I know I'm not always the best at it, and I know I'm not the only one who has to deal with social anxiety so besties I promise you I understand and will never be mad if we're not talking 24/7. I suck at plotting things to an extent. I'm better with general directions and ideas of where we want things to go, but leaving things flexible for our muses to do their thing. Some threads do work better with more detailed plotting, but for the most part I'm perfectly fine winging everything, so there's no pressure to have some perfect plotline already scripted out before you come plot with me. Literally just throw a vague idea at me or be like "hey I think x and y should interact" and we can go from there.

(same person, again not a hate ask but a genuine attempt at conversation) because the 'problematic' people you're talking about are actors and musicians. they're not people you personally know or interact with on a daily basis, and they're not politicians or any other profession where morals genuinely have a widespread impact on people's lives. it's not that you shouldn't care if someone is good or not, but i just don't see what calling out these non-important celebs does for anyone, especially since most of these call outs aren't even for a good reason*. if you're uncomfortable with them then you have every right not to support their work, but i don't get what people get out of constantly talking abt what they've done and how problematic they are, especially since the whole entertainment is pretty fucked up and most people have a few skeletons in their closet.

celebrities decisions and morals do have an impact on people's lives. i'll use the same example you did for the depp trial, the celebrities that defended him did so by liking posts or memes that mocked a women actively reliving and gaining more trauma, they made jokes and made a mockery of her and her story. they laughed at a women crying, at pictures of her bruises and injuries. even if they didn't believe her, that is an insane level of apathy and it has so many ripple affects on abuse cases moving forward. by celebrities liking those posts, their fan bases will see that they approve of it and if they agree, they will follow suit. it's a domino affect. they see a stamp of approval by someone they admire or respect and think it's okay to do the same.

It's all a trickle down affect. If someone says a slur or does something else terrible, it inspires other morally weak people to do the same. People mocking the trial inspired others to make memes of abuse. That creates an attitude that lacks seriousness and respect around abuse victims and now it's a sociably acceptable thing to mock people who come forward with abuse. When someone says a slur it inspires others do the same and makes it common. When one person does it, it creates an air of 'oh.. if they did it i can' and it grows. Peoples actions, especially famous people who's actions are global, have consequences.

you saying it's 'very valid' for people to dismiss the depp trail as just 'celebrity gossip' is also truly insane and goes to show how little you've actually looked at the bigger picture. that trail was not just 'celebrity drama'. a women got publicly mocked for sharing her story of abuse and was threatened every single day. that case and the way it was run has pushed the way the world views/sees/acts on behalf of abuse victims back decades. every women who comes forward with abuse will be not believed and labelled 'another amber heard' at least once, guaranteed. that trial opened up multiple abusers minds to try and sue their victims, see Brad Pitt and Marilyn Manson suing their victims for defamation (just like Depp) who had the courage to speak out. and thats just famous people, i guarantee there's a huge spike in defamation cases with the everyday abusers to their victims as well. describing people supporting advice abusers, or in other cases slurs, acts of racism, homophobia, etc., as nonchalantly and simply as 'most people have skeletons in their closet'... is wild and once again says something about you not thinking it's that big of a deal.

that list I made of people who vocally and actively supported depp means they spit in the face of victims, approved of the way the trial ran, and let their fanbases know it was okay. And no one is putting them in 'Permanently Canceled list' because cancel culture is a myth and no one has anything happen to them. Louis CK, you know the guy who sexual harassed multiple women, just performed a sold out show in Madison Square Garden. That man traumatized so many women and he's dong perfectly fine. All for those celebrities on that list will be perfectly fine and literally nothing will happen to them because they are on that list. It was made to inform people and say 'hey, here's a list of people who supported a victim or at least felt gross about the way the trial was handled, and here's a list of people who thought making memes of women crying on the stand and mocking abuse was funny and approve of the message that was being sent to the entire world. Do with it what you will.' Cancelling people isn't a problem at all. It's literally just asking people to take accountability for their own actions and if you see that as a problem that's on you. Why do some people insist on giving people they don't know any disorder that takes their whimsy. They state these things like they're facts they heard or read him say? The same for his GF. And yet this isn't public knowledge, such statements don't exist. Imo it isn't right to just decide someone has a disorder of any kind.

Why do some insist that he is some easily fooled babe in the woods who is being taken advantage of by his GF they've demonized ? As if someone who has been in entertainment since he was very young hasn't had experiences before and learned from them. A singing contest was it? He also did work and was interviewed around age 16. He was on Vikings. He's been in and around the circuit for a while now.

so wrt that and zutara...the episode where he's with her with the dude that killed her moms and his support of her i can see why people like them. the cave ep obviously but this show is veryyyyy free with affection i noticed and there's some jealousy but they all get over that pretty quickly. i read some of the comics and i could see different rships happening and i definitely think this world lends to queerness (me personally i love monogamy but a certain type lol so not rly interested in much poly but i do like a throuple) but i could see most being bi+ or having identified as that in the past, or labeling themselves but nto limiting. that's just an aside for meee...

so like katara was being katara. i could see suki and zuko being romantic but also a deep friendship that could be deeply affectionate either affect or physically or both bc that's who these ppl are. katara is a very intense person and that's part of why she can be annoying. that's part of why they ALL can be overwhelming. theyre intense, traumatized, repressed kids and teens with mostly good hearts (or just a person so disconnected from herself but also a fascist so u know. her going nuts lol)
