‘When he went away  The blues walked in and met me  Oh, yeah if he stays away  Old rocking chair’s gonna get me  All I do is pray...’
You sway to the melody as you wipe dry the last plate. You set it in the rack as Etta James’ soulful crooning wafts around the kitchen. Just the simple task of washing the dishes has you out of breath. You can no longer hum along as you’re suddenly light headed with sweat speckled across your brow. Even the breeze drifting in through the open window can’t cool the constant heat brewing within you.
You brace your lower back as you reach for the dish towel and pop open the cupboard. The music drones to silence as the next some in queue loads. Your rounded stomach presses to the counter as you take a mug and dry it inside and out. Strange, you don’t remember the song starting like that; the strange warbling noise much unlike Marvin Gaye’s rich tones.
You set the mug on the shelf and back up. Another noise peaks your attention, too tinny to be a snare. You rub your stomach mindlessly as you sling the cloth over your shoulder. You waddle across the tile to the folding table beneath the window. You tap pause on your phone and the bluetooth speaker goes silent.
Your fingers pick the damp fabric away from your bump. These days you can’t avoid getting soaked. Even as you can’t forget about the burden of your condition, you’re still oblivious to how it gets in the way until it does. You sigh as you listen for another clue.
A pained deep grunt floats up from below. Distant but decisive, another rustle beneath the unexpected noise. You lean over the table, a hand on the ledge as you push the pane higher. You bend, stomach pressed to the speaker, and peer down. You expect another dumpster diver searching for empties to trade in; rather you meet a most unexpected sight.
There is a man in the dumpster, alright, but he isn’t moving. From there, you can’t see very clearly. You squint at the figure strewn among the trash but the zigzag of the fire escape obscures your eye line.
You shouldn’t go and see. Not only is it a lot of effort, but it’s dangerous. You shouldn’t be wandering into alleys to check on strangers in dumpsters. You don’t know any good reason someone might be swimming in garbage. Nor do you think they would want to be bothered.
Still, the prickling in your neck urges you to do something. There’s just something so peculiar about the angle of the arm you can see clearer than the rest of the body. At least they’re moving, even if they sound agonized.
You take your phone and untether it from the bluetooth speaker. You unlock it and keep your thumb ready to dial out. You move as quickly as you can, not very, and waddles along the back of the couch into the entry way. You take your keys from the hook near your door and step into your cushy slides.
You turn back the latch and leave the door unlocked behind you. The slides shift on your swollen feet as you rush down to the elevator. God, your back hurts. You try not to lean too far back as it only adds to the pain. You need a belly belt but they’re so darn expensive.
You’re out of breath as you step on and turn to watch the numbers count down. You’re still panting as you reach the lobby and push through the front doors, leaning into the heavy grated iron until it creaks loudly. You clamour down the steps to even ground and your hips pang.
You put your hand under your stomach, trying to lift it and ease the pressure in your hips. You blow out between your lips as you have to slow down. You shuffle across the grass and into the paved lobby. The stink of the trash brings you back to those early days of morning sickness. And afternoon sickness. And night sickness.
You try not to inhale too deeply as you step between the brick buildings. You bring your phone up, ready to hit those three digits in a heartbeat. You should’ve done so already. Even if you do, it’ll take hours for anyone to come out here.
You stop and listen a few steps from the dumpster. You don’t hear anything now. You look up at the sky, dimming towards evening in a mixture of pink and blue, the moon peeking palely through the hue. You grip your phone tight, keys jangling with your movement as you continue forward.
“Hello?” You call out, “is someone in there?” You linger near the corner of the dumpster, the trash reeking in your nostrils, “do you need help?”
No answer. You stare up, wondering how you might see inside. If you weren’t built like a keg, you might be able to see from the lower level of the fire escape but you can’t even make it one rung. You blink and call out again.
“Hello? Are you okay?”
You wait for a response. Silence again. Maybe they found their way out on their own. You huff. So much for all that. All you’ve done is added to the pain in your arches. You turn on your heel and a groan gurgles and plastic crinkles noisily.
You stop again, wavering, and peer back over your shoulder. A hand appears over the tops of the dumpsters edge and grips it. You face the large metal bin as the knuckles strain within the stained brown leather, fingertips poking out nakedly, blood and dirty tinged across the flesh. A long grunt follows as the figure drags himself to look over the top.
“Sir, are you--” you begin, voice catching at the sight of the cowl and the man’s square jaw. The white star on his chest stuns you. It’s him. Everyone knows that uniform, that face, even under his helmet. New York’s own Captain America.
You gape as the super soldier strains and swings himself out of the dumpster with one arm. His other is hanging limply as his feet hit the pavement. His knees crack and buckle. He drops down onto them and hisses.
“Captain America?” You utter dumbly.
He puts his fist to the ground and leans on his arm. He hangs his head and heaves. He drags a leg forward, planting his foot, and makes himself stand. He pushes his shoulders back and winces, reaching to cradle his dangling arm.
“Steve,” he rasps, “goddamn.”
You don’t expect the obscenity. Not from him. He leans against the dumpster and turns his chin up. He gnashes his teeth as he grips his arm and jerks, moving the heavy bin with his effort. The pop of his shoulder is sickening as he growls tightly. He stomps his foot and as he shakes out the arm he just put back into place.
He reaches up and peels off his cowl as he puts his head straight. He looks at you as he wipes the streak of blood from lip to chin. His blond locks are streaked silver and his face is lined. He looks much older than the magazine covers and the TV screens. The magic of editing, right?
He swipes the sweaty hair from his forehead and huffs.
“Steve,” you rest your phone on your stomach, “are you okay?”
He pushes himself away from the dumpster and puffs, “I’m fine. Just... a hiccup.”
You stare at him. He looks tired and worn. You believe him when he says he’s okay. He's a super soldier and the world has seen his many feats. Yet he looks completely hollow.
“Are you sure? I could call someone or...” you step forward and point to the slash that borders chest and shoulder, “you should clean that out, shouldn’t you?”
He looks down and grimaces, “had worse. I got comms. HQ doesn’t care about a few scratches.”
He goes to step forward and stumbles slightly. He snarls and kicks his foot into the gravel. He wiggles his knee and bends to rub the joint.
“I...” your mouth opens and closes. This isn’t the man you’ve seen in the media. He's not smiling and golden and shining. Still, he’s the Captain. “I live above,” you gesture upward, “I could help... or maybe you can just... sit for a little bit. Get yourself straight?”
He looks at you. As if for the first time. His forehead smooths as the tension eases from his jaw. His gaze slowly crawls down to his stomach and you see the dimple in his cheek.
“Your husband okay with that? I’m a bit of a mess,” his tone is lighter as he fixes his grip on his cowl.
“Oh no, I don’t have--” you chew your lip and look at the brick wall, “it’s just me. But I have first aid kit and learned to stitch in summer camp. I think I can still remember how.”
He glances around and nods, “got a back door?”
“Yeah, it’s... past you,” you nod in his direction.
He pivots stiffly and cranes to see around the dumpster. You near him and your keys jingle again. You follow him to the metal door with the glass window and you shove the key in and twist. You pull it open a few inches. It’s heavier than the front door. He grabs it and wrenches it all the way back.
“Thanks,” you murmur. “There’s an elevator.”
“Hm, fewer people see me, the better,” he sniffs as the door clanks behind him.
“It might take me a while,” you warn, “I’m slow.”
“What floor. I’ll meet you,” he offers.
“Sure, it’s three.”
“Number?”
“310.”
“I’ll find it,” he states and marches towards the stair sign.
You go to catch the elevator, stewing in disbelief on your ascent. You step off and continue on to your apartment. He’s already there. He stands with his hand on the frame, looking over his shoulder as you waddle down the hall towards him.
“It’s unlocked,” you say.
He opens it and waits for you. You thank him as you enter and he follows. He locks it and lingers behind you. You put your hand to the wall as you slip off your slides. He gently lays his cowl on the corner table and bends to unlace his boots. You hang the keys on the hook and place your phone on the small table.
He leaves his dirtied boots on the mat and limps forward. You stand in the open doorway of the living room and peek back at him. He looks around reluctantly.
“Please, sit down,” you insist and wave through the doorway before you pass through.
“I...” he begins and you hear his uneven gait down the hallway. “I don’t want to dirty your couch.”
“I have a steam cleaner,” you assure. “Sit, I’ll get the kit.”
He stares, his eyes once more scanning the space. Does he think this is a trip? That you’re some covert agent who all too conveniently found him? That’s absurd. Look at you.
You shrug off that ridiculous idea and cross to the kitchen. You open several drawers before you remember it’s in the bathroom. Of course. Your brain likes to play games these days. You grab the metal tin from under the sink and return to Steve.
He pulls off his gloves and balls them on the side table next to the couch. You come around the other side of the couch and sit, leaving lots of space between you. You squeeze the kits as you’re once more out of breath.
“You okay?” He turns the question on you.
“I’m not the one bleeding. Just pregnant,” you smile.
You balance the kit on your stomach as you lean back. You sanitize a needle and weave it with surgical thread. You put that aside and fish out an alcoholic swap. You shift the kit aside and push on the back of the couch as you try to sit forward. You shake and he helps you, a humbling assistance.
“First,” you turn to him, “we’ll see how deep it is,” you tear open the swap, “can I...”
“One sec,” he dips his fingers into the fabric and tears the sleeve, renting the fabric like tissue. His arm is thick and well-toned despite the years. A centurion like him can’t complain for the shape he’s in, even battered. “I can do it myself.”
“Yes, but it wouldn’t be easy.”
You reach as he angles towards you. You gingerly dab around the gash and he tenses. He takes a sharp breath, “you don’t have to be so gentle. I can handle pain.”
“Right,” you work more diligently.
He’s quiet as you tend to him, picking out gravel and some metal slivers. You worry that you might miss some. You lean in closer and he steels himself at your proximity.
“So,” he clears his throat, “just you and...” the kid?”
“We all make mistakes,” you chuckle. You can only laugh about it, as scared as you are.
“Mmm,” he flinches as you sweep down the length of the cut. It’s not that deep, mostly superficial.
“Let me put some steri-strips on, shouldn’t need the stitches, ” you say as you sift through the kit with one hand, “if you’re hungry, I have leftovers. You like chicken?”
You don’t know why you’re offering. Maybe it’s because you owe him. Like everyone in the city. It’s your chance to give back to the hero who gave so much. Or maybe it’s because you’re so damn lonely talking to your own stomach.
“I should go,” he insists as you place a strip across the cut.
“Up to you,” you say, “I don’t mind either way, but I’m not going to chase Captain America out of ym apartment.”
He doesn’t say anything. You finish dressing his wound and gather up the wrappers and all. You crumple it in one hand and rock yourself to stand. You’re overly aware of him watching you. You touch your stomach and rub it, soothing your nerves. You find him watching the movement of your hand.
“You must be pretty far along,” he says.
“Six months. Chicken tortellini, if you want. I was gonna reheat some. I haven’t eaten since work.”
“Work?” He frowns and stands, moving better than before. “Should you be?”
“I’m at a desk. It’s nothing. HR got me some ergonomic stuff. Nothing compared to what you do.”
You put away the kit and toss the garbage. You wash your hands before you search out the container of pasta in the fridges. You sense him behind you, just in the wide archway that peers into the kitchen. You reach into the cupboard you left open and take the single plate that isn’t in the rack.
“So, you want some?” You ask.
He’s silent with contemplation, the shift of his weight creaks in the floor, “I appreciate it, yes, please.”
“I might have something you can change into,” you say. You wonder why you’re doing all this. Maybe it’s that maternal instinct kicking in. “The father, before he took off, left a few things.” You peek over your shoulder, “he was a bit smaller than you.”
He shrugs then winces at the careless gesture. “Do you mind if I wash up before I eat? I smell like garbage. I don’t wanna overstep--”
“Go ahead, it’ll take a while to warm this up,” you say.
Another long lull. He taps his fingers on the wall and inhales deep enough for you to hear, “promise, I’ll get out of your hair after dinner.”
“Please, take your time,” you say as you put the tortellini in a glass pan to rebake. He backs away and you sense his hesitation, “oh, down the hall, to the left of the bedroom at the end.”
“Thanks,” he intones, “oh, uh, just realised, you know who I am...”
Your brows pop up and you stop before you can put the pan in the stove. You look back at him and give your name. He nods.
“Pretty,” he comments, “also, it’s just Steve, not Captain.”

Greetings, fellow women lovers!
Currently on hiatus, will post all submitted characters upon return.
Do you ever look at a woman in a relationship with a man and think "damn. that guy treats her awfully. she would have been much better off if she dated me another woman instead."?
I do. Often in fact. Here, we ask the eternal question: would lesbianism save her?
Submit your blorbos here, and have the internet judge their fate!
Plus, have a look at the spreadsheet to see who's already been submitted!
Rules:
One character per submission
if you include spoilers in your propaganda, please say so so i can mark it accordingly
No real people
No harry potter characters
Justification/propaganda is not necessary, but it is preferred
Be civil! any bigotry or harassment will result in a block
Queue is currently set at 1 post a day. Characters will be posted in order of submission.
FAQ under the cut!
Can we submit characters that are canonically bisexual?
Please don’t! Read this post for more information :D
What if the character is from a non-visual media? (a book, podcast, etc)
Don’t worry about it! Just mention that there aren’t any pictures of them, and I’ll find a book/podcast cover to use as the image. If you have a preference on which I use, just link it like you would a character photo.
can we submit fanart for the character photo?
You can use fanart, however you have to have permission from the artist. If any artists find their art on this blog when it shouldn't be, let me know and I will remove it immediately.
How long does it take for characters to be posted?
The queue currently has about two weeks’ worth of characters. Generally, expect about 1-3 weeks between submission and posting. If you want to be notified when it goes live, add your username into the form and I’ll tag you!
How can I contact you if I have any questions about/ suggestions for the blog?
My asks are open! I don’t bite, I promise, and I’m more than willing to change things up if needed :D
What if the character is from multiple medias?
List the one you want in the post title OR the overall name of the media in the “source media” section, and then list anything that you also want tagged in the “additional information" section. For example, if you wanted to submit Superhero Lady, you might put “Marvel Cinematic Universe” in the source media and then “Superhero Lady Is Cool, The Movie", "Superhero Lady Returns", "Superhero Lady: Avengers” in the additional information section. Please be clear with where the character is from, as I don’t know 90% of these characters.
What else is the “additional information” section for?
Anything you want to let me know, really. If your propaganda contains spoilers, then you can say so here. Tags you want added or other names for the source media can also be added, as stated above. Additionally, by default I refer to all characters as “she”, so if you want me to use another pronoun, you can let me know here.
What do you count as spoilers?
Any information about the plot of a media that has been out for a month or less at the time of submission, and any major plot information/ plot twists/ reveals that may significantly impact somebodies experience of any media, regardless of the release date of the media. This does not apply if you are submitting characters from classical literature.
Brought to you by Mod M (they/she). If I ever do something stupid and/ or incompetent, let me know so I can fix it. My only qualification for running this blog is that I'm currently winning lesbianism.
Inspired by blogs such as:

AK Fest posting part 1
because i have so many pics to go through
There are two halls, the one with official/fan stuff and the actual theme park-ish one This post covers the first because image limit
The tickets were sold on Bilibili so I got them myself, you also have to register your name and ID and I got a VIP ticket so I got to sleep in little later (i think it was like 298 vs 598 RMB... you get more merch and 1 hour earlier entrance/shorter entry queue, but apparently so many people lined up early on the first day they let the floodgates loose at 8 plus and merch sold out by 0930 lmao) Idk how unfair it'd be (not sure how many tickets they sold per tier) but I kind of wish the VIP let you fastpass the attractions too kuxiao
I went on the 4th which was the second…? day and before I went in I had to scan a qrcode to basically upload a selfie lol (surprisingly didn't have to do this for the concert they just looked at my passport punched in the funny numbers on a device and let me through a manned door)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You get a totally not infection monitor to tap at every location, and if you scan the qr code on the underside it brings you to a miniapp on wechat that shows you your progress and queue estimates (there was also some quest thing that i forgor to do i think you get doctor stickers for it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I headed here first because I wanted to pass some stuff to an oomf at the doujin area (first pic is the queue...) they invited a bunch of fanartists (that post regularly on skland? not sure) to table there kinda cool with a showcase of fanart
sorry it was impossible to take a nice pic of the chummer gk I TRIED
bought an eyja collab tea bottle cause it was from vending machines compared to the fresh drinks (i didnt get to try the chen one cause uh… i forgot basically the naixue near my hotel was always out of the drink set w/ the bonus merch)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd post so many photos but the 10 image limit is kinda killing me over here... they had this huge area to look back at all the events basically
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Area with production materials and some merch wips like I saw the justice knight figurine that I can't post because I already have 10 images on here ahhhhh WAIT I CAN JUST EMBED TWEETS ON HERE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Old tweets about the Free Stage that day which was basically public karaoke guillotine
Tumblr media
and the frostnova memorial

hey, how did you make different sections for your blog? Can't figure it out, I'd like to divide up my posts so my main page isn't messy. Thanks!
Hi Nonny! I am not entirely sure what you mean by this so I will give a bunch of general tips below. If this doesn't cover it or you want something expanded on, feel free to let me know!
Tips to keeping your blog neat & tidy!
Let me start off by saying it is your blog. Make it as messy as you want. However there are a few things you can do to make posts easier to see and read for yourself and your followers.
Tagging
Tag your posts. All of them. Have a different tag per save, story, gameplay, have one for asks, have one for reblogs. Have multiple tags! Tags galore!!! All of this will let you filter your posts to just the ones you want to see. If you tag every post with just "ts4" then you will not be able to find anything.
Example: Two of my saves have the individual tags "NSB" (for Not So Berry) and "Princess Legacy" but then I break them down even further by doing "NSB Gen 1" & "NSB Gen 2" so viewers can choose to view the project as a whole or just to search through one Gen.
Banners
This is ABSOLUTELY OPTIONAL but it makes your posts stand out from each other if you give each story/gameplay/save their own banner. It doesn't have to be extravagant. It can just be a color. Or even a pattern.
Example:
NSB
Tumblr media
Princess Legacy:
Tumblr media
You can absolutely steal the dimensions of these banners (aka save them right from this post) to create your own.
Use Your Queue
One of the easiest ways to organize your blog is to organize your queue! If you have a lot of stories or posts, try to limit when/what days you are posting them so it looks more consistent on your blog.
Example: In a perfect world where I have consistent content this is also referenced in my timezone which is PST: NSB posts go up at 6 AM every WEEKDAY - I manually schedule these Gameplay posts (whatever gameplay I am currently into as this changes) 3 times a day on the hour every weekday 11 AM-1PM - this is my normal queue set up Reblogs of others post - Weekends, 3 times a day as my normal queue is set up for
When I was doing really well with content, I would queue up 15 posts of gameplay (3 posts a day for 5 days) then go into the sims tag and throw 6 reblogged posts into my queue. Then start over again so I could queue up months in advance.
Using this method for myself makes my blog feels more structured to me. It's just for my own peace of mind and keeps me more organized.
Blog Themes
One of the best creative flex this site offers you imo. You can customize your blog theme to make it fit what you want.
There are a TON of blog themes over theme-hunter. This must be done from desktop and is only for desktop. It cannot be changed via mobile. If you check out theme-hunter, go to the top right "MORE" button. If you are looking for a main page theme, search through the "All-In-One" tag. If you are looking for a story page like i have to showcase all your stories together, I usually look through the "Family/Favorites/Characters" tag.
Now this does require a very BASE knowledge of coding, which I cannot get into in this post. It's a bit of work. Start with a simple theme until you get it down.
PRO TIP: Make a private side blog for just yourself where you can test out the themes. That way if you break the code it doesn't break your main blog. Once the code is ready on your private blog, then you can just copy/paste it onto your main!
HERE is a quick guide on how to add a tumblr theme. If you have never done it before, it's a bit of a learning curve, but honestly it's sooo satisfying once it's done.
Example: The codes for the current pages I am using can be found below: Main Theme: [X] Story Page [X]
Customizing Your Blog
Putting this all together!
Your new story pages and blog pages can include links to the specific tags you are using on your posts! It's how others can find you content so it's organized!
So let's look at this tab on my blog:
Tumblr media
This is part of my blog theme. I change it out to update whatever my blog is currently showcasing! It's part of the custom page and me going into the code to manually change it.
If you were to click any of the "Start" tabs (for the ones that have them) they would take you to the URL for the tag itself:
samssims.tumblr.com/tagged/nsb+gen+1/chrono [tumblr url] / [the word TAGGED to show you are searching the tag] / [the tag itself with + signs for spaces] / [the word CHRONO just means it will start at the beginning of the tag, useful for stories]
NOTE: These URLs only work on desktop/mobile browser. They do not work on the tumblr app.
Conclusion
And that's just a little bit about organizing your blog. But honestly it's your space. Just like your room IRL, you keep it the way you like it! This system works for me! If it helps you find your flow then I am happy to help!

Hi! I'm new to your blog and I really like it. Question for you, tho: I noticed that you have a queue of works you're working on. How long does it usually take to complete one of these requests? I know each unique prompt requires unique attention, but on average how much time do you spend on each one? Asking because i'm considering starting a requests blog of my own (for a different fandom, don't have the skill to write for this one) and I'm curious to how much time I should expect to put in.
Hello, welcome, and thank you very much 🤗
Now onto your question. I still can't give an estimated time I spend on each request because apart from each prompt being different, it also depends on the writer's mood and capability to create rapidly. Sometimes I take 2 hours, 2 weeks or months. Everyone has a different rate at which they can push out content, some are slow, while others are faster.
When I take in requests, I look at my schedule to know how free I'll be, life outside Tumblr, my mood, writing pace, and comfort level. It will differ for everyone else.
I normally take in 30-40 requests per requesting period, then I proceed to have a two-week head start. During those 2 weeks, I would sort out my requests based on what's easy, challenging, headcanons, fics, and genre. Then I would schedule the order of posting—I post twice a week, so it equates to 7-9 posts a month.
Once all that is completed, I spend the rest of the two weeks (attempting to) writing the first month's request in order. Once finished, take my break and proceed to the 2nd month and so forth. And that's how I organise myself when I'm writing requests. I try to have a month's work in the queue before the month starts so I don't have to rush last minute.
A few things to note:
Everyone writes differently. My method may not work for you, it may appear overwhelming. You must determine what rate is best for you. As a first-timer, start simple and graduate as time goes on should you wish to produce on a larger scale.
Know the volume of work you can focus on writing. Some people can only write small amounts of work while others do large. Stay within your regulated volume of requests unless you are ready to increase the amount.
There is no specified time frame to complete requests. If someone takes 1 day to write a headcanon, you might take 2 days, and that's alright. Find a comfortable pace to write. You may write slower than others and it's fine. If time management is an issue, create a schedule you can work with that would not create burnout or stress.
Work within your comfort zone of content, meaning write what you are comfortable with. Whether it be headcanons only, fics, or fluff, short or long fics, write to your comfort.
Remember your life outside of Tumblr influences how often you write and the rate you can complete pieces. Don't force yourself if you can't meet the deadline you created. Real-life situations are inevitable, they happen out of the blue.
Always remember to have time for yourself!! Don't devote all your time to fulfilling requests. Your readers WILL understand. Set aside intervals for leisure.

Gunpla #1 - RG Gundam Unicorn
Thought i may as well use this blog for something, and that something is blogging my gunpla builds! I've got a lot of backlog to get through so i'm using the queue to post one per day.
I'll try to log anything I can remember about building these guys and any vaguely-related thoughts.
I have a lot to say about the Unicorn but i promise most of my posts won't be anywhere near as long!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm starting with my first build ever, the Real-Grade Unicorn Gundam! Real-Grade gunpla have lots of extra detail (and stickers. like... 80 stickers) to make the mobile suit look more realistic. Generally, they also have a fancy skeleton to make posing easier, and add a sense of depth to the model (so armour plating looks like it's been placed over real mechanical parts).
Since it's my first model kit i'm shocked at how good it came out - and how i didn't break anything putting it together! Real-Grade kits have a huge number of tiny, fragile parts so I wouldn't recommend them to a beginner.
And I wouldn't recommend using the default stickers either. In this case they came out alright but in general they're a real pain in the ass to put on. Compared to waterslide decals, they're much harder to position, and air bubbles make the transparent parts much more noticeable. Waterslides can be 'melted' down with decal softener, and end up looking much more lifelike. Particularly if they go over panel lines ('gaps' in the armour plating).
Tumblr media
The Unicorn's gimmick is transforming between two forms; unicorn and destroy mode. I didn't bother taking photos of my guy in unicorn mode since it's a bit of a hassle and i photographed like fifty kits that day. However, I can at least highlight a one of the joints that make the transformation gimmick both possible and 'realistic' as an example:
Tumblr media
The grey latch pulls off to allow you to slide some parts around, after which you set the latch back down again to keep them in place. Overall, the unicorn mode is about a head shorter than the destroy mode owing to how the leg extends.

An Unlikely Bond - Pt. 2 of 3
Parts: 1||2(You are here)||3 - Links will be updated as the chapters are posted. Currently in the queue.
May be posted on Ao3 and FF.net later.
Content warnings for the usual language. Accidental mental invasion. Part three is where they're violence via memories which includes murder(and faked suicide(it's more murder.)
Approx. 2k.
-----------------------
Days had passed since the incident. Zhang had pushed it to the back of his mind but was still actively avoiding interacting with Geist, though he knew he needed to apologize for his outburst.
Seemed like it was just his psionics acting up and not Geist pulling some psionic trickery to guilt trip him for the psionic training sessions he had been skipping out of spite.
But he still wanted to stew on what had happened. It all just felt off in a way he couldn’t describe. He was sure he felt Geist’s touch on his mind when the voices started, but there was barely a trace of his touch when searched. Maybe it was just another odd quirk of psionics, or Geist had learned a new trick he wasn’t sharing. No. Geist had his quirks but believed the man wouldn’t tempt his luck with the Commander, keeping something like that secret with how some soldiers and staff were weary with the psions at the base.
————
The Hazard Course. The favorite place for all Gene-modded soldiers to put their more physical mods to the test.
Zhang was assisting Training Officer Conrad, per Commander Reeves’ request to put the new round of Gene Modded soldiers through their paces. Specifically, the ones with the “Muscle Fiber Density” leg mod. Zhang didn’t mind assisting, as it gave him something to do around the base and kept his mind occupied. It was time to scale some cliffs.
“Come on y’all! Y’all can’t keep up with the old man?” Conrad heckled the soldiers that were falling behind Zhang, who was close to the top of the cliff face and was about ready to step off, completing another circuit. He had barely broken a sweat.
A few shot back that they were still disoriented as they were either freshly out of the Gene Labs or were still getting used to the new sensations coursing through their bodies.
“Tch! Tch! EXCUSES!” Conrad wasn’t having it. “And he was leaping bounds like a jack rabbit right out of the tube with 3 other mods in his newly tweaked SYSTEM! What’s y’all’s excuse?”
Zhang was back on the ground floor before he jogged over and leaped up to the platform Conrad was barking his remarks from. He let out a few chuckles and shook his head.
“Go easy on them. It took me some time to warm up before I was ‘leaping like a jackrabbit.’” He said.
Conrad silenced his mic quickly. He smirked. “They don’ need to know that. Besides, when those pheromones and adrenaline kicked in, you were hopping all a‘bout. And you were still movin’ faster than them with two of those mods conflictin’ for a bit.”
Zhang tilted his head back and forth, trying to remember the day. Some details were faint since so much had happened since then. “True… Still, it’ll take them a bit before they’re running circles around me.”
“Tch, heh, heh. I’ll think about it.” He wouldn’t. “Now get back in there!” He unmuted his mic. “Do I need to get Corvo to whip y’all slugs up to speed?”
A collective groan could be heard, but that made everyone pick up the pace.
Zhang just rolled his eyes. What a character the old instructor could be.
He leaped off the platform and headed back over to that wall. With a coach and spring, he was already at the 8-meter marker and assisting whoever was failing to clear their first jump fully.
It took a few more rounds before most of the fresh batch could clear their first jump without missing it by a few inches or botching the landing, but as the training continued, all were growing confident in their new abilities.
Another set of rounds was done and Zhang no longer had to assist anyone and just kept a careful watch as the soldiers made their ascent and helped or playfully sabotaged each other.
Zhang had parked himself on the second-highest overhang and was watching a few soldiers make a race out of their latest round of climbing.
“Heh, youth.” He chuckled to himself as he watched them.
Taking a moment, he had his fingers around this neck, checking his psi-dampening collar. His eyes flashed purple for a moment. “Hm.” Everything felt in order. The collar was sitting just right. No new dings with how training was going today. And that faint, barely irritating disruption was sitting at the back of his mind. Good. Nothing to worry about.
He smiled to himself. Digging his fingers into the rocky soil. Legs kicked back and forth as he took in the fresh, hot canyon air. He was content.
He watched the soldiers go on, making mental notes here and there. He would pass on to Conrad what each one had to work on. Some were still hesitating, stepping off the ledge, which was causing them to fumble their landings.
“Have to get over the fear of heights.” He noted.
As he made these observations, he didn’t notice a faint static sensation grow in the back of his mind that was slowly shifting to a more familiar psionic tug. One tug, two, three, he finally noticed as it shifted into a skull-splitting series of thumps, causing him to hiss in pain. A hand flew to his head and the other quickly dug into the ground.
The blood between his ears was pulsing with a near-deafening ring. “What… the?” His collar was fine. What was going on?
Concentrating, he searched for the source, only to find a blur of sensations shifting within his mind and psionics.
Another sharp piercing sensation hit his mind, making him hiss again. He felt a shift in the sensations. A connection began to form and so did a voice. One all too familiar to him.
“Geist.” He growled. “Not this again.”
Just as he had finally pushed the incident to the back of his mind, all the rage from that day came rushing back.
Grinding his teeth, he worked to still himself and his infuriated thoughts. “Calm, calm. Don’t need an outburst.” He was glad no one noticed his hissing. “Let’s see what he wants.”
It took a moment to steady his mind and refocus his psionics, as this connection was still causing him pain.
“Strings, patterns, weaves…. Hm.” Geist was muttering under his breath. “Just when I think I figure it out, it proves me wrong. A new leaf emerges. A new petal unfolds. The tides wash away the sands, erasing my expeditions but revealing something new. Something exciting.”
Zhang continued to focus on the connection. So far, he was only picking up Geist and no one else like last time. He was having difficulty making sense of the cryptic words Geist was speaking but could figure out it didn’t deal with him or training.
As quick as that anger came, it was disappearing. Maybe it was his psionics messing up again and not Geist forcing a connection to him.
He let out a disgruntled sigh. Was this a sign of his psionics becoming unstable again? How were they going to get this fixed?
“I yearn for the days I was not given this curse.” One of the few times he lamented this psionic potential being found in him.
But no time to lament. He wanted to see if he could close off this connection before it caused him more problems. He still had training he needed to assist with before he could pay Geist a visit.
As he focused on the connection to sever it, Geist’s voice grew louder in his mind.
“More weaves and patterns across the Earth. A mass expanse. Everything is connected to, flowing into and out of a Void. One flourishing with life and another devoid of it. A gap. And…” Geist passed. As he did so, Zhang felt a surge of power in the connection. “Hm… hm?” Seemed Geist did too.
There was a pause before Zhang felt a tentative touch, Geist’s touch, reach out and flow through the connection. It quickly overpowered Zhang’s attempts to close it off, causing some psionic feedback, much to his frustration.
Dammit. Zhang mentally recoiled, but did his best to keep the pain under control. For the moment, he held back his power to avoid any more feedback.
“What is this? I’m in the isolation chamber. There should be no connections to anyone but the Earth and Void.” Geist almost sounded confused, if not concerned, as he searched out this connection to its source.
But as Geist reached the source, he paused again. “Wait…” He weaved his way through the connection again, carefully picking the familiarity of the strings to this mind. “Z-Zhang?”
Just ask Geist made the discovery, their connection was abruptly cut.
A whirl of psionic swirled inside Zhang’s mind before it all finally snapped.
“Gah!” He gasped, lurching forward. He barely stopped himself from tumbling forward. “What the hell?” There was always something strange going on with psionics.
“Hey!” Someone called out. “You alright up there?”
Figures I’d slip with those growing backlashes. He shook his head a few times before letting out a gruff snort. “I’m fine. Feedback from the adrenal glands.” A little lie.
Zhang craned his neck back and forth as he gave it a good rub. He could feel his mind and psionics slowly ordering itself back in place after the spontaneous psionic connection again. His mind lingered on Geist’s connection. The man seemed just as surprised as him as he had discovered the connection.
“Hm.” He chewed on his tongue. Why was there always something wrong with psionics? He needed to find Geist. This couldn’t wait.
Pushing himself off the ledge, one last rush of adrenaline ran through his system before he touched the ground. He made his way over to Conrad first.
“Something just came up.” Zhang made a simple gesture towards his head. “Have to go.”
“Ah, gotcha. Go on and get!” Conrad simply nodded.
————
Zhang was halfway through the base before he felt a familiar psionic ping in his mind before a more audible ping rang out around the corner. The next second Geist came around the corner. The man looked a little frazzled as his eyes twinkled with purple energy. There was no dampening collar in sight.
“There you are!” He exclaimed, quickly hushing himself in order to avoid drawing too much attention.
“I was heading to you.” Zhang paused in his tracks. A brow was raised. He was half waiting for the Bases A.I. to go off, mentioning the psionic activity. “Did you..?” He felt like he didn’t have to explain.
Geist swiftly nodded, like his head was going to fall off. “Is this what happened days ago? Collar on?”
“Yes.” He nodded. “Though this was somewhat different. More painful on my end.”
Geist paced around him, finger tapping away at his chin and mumbling under his breath. “What could this be? What could this be?”
So far, nothing was ringing a bell in Geist’s mind. This just made him worry more, which increased his pacing. He turned his attention back to Zhang. The man’s puzzled look didn’t help ease his mind. He reached his hand out towards his hand, psionic energy jumping between his fingers. Wait, no. Not here. Not safe for the others. He cut his psionic energy for a moment and just let his hand fall on Zhang’s shoulder.
“I feel I need to explore your psionics. See if They are planting seeds of madness. Isolation room. No time to tell the Commander and Psi Division.” Geist said.
At the mention of Them, Zhang grimaced. It had been some time since those Elders had touched his mind again with Their bids to make him betray XCOM. Did They have new tricks up Their sleeves? Better to find out now than before, he was an unknowing thrall. “Teleport away.”
Geist tightened his fingers on his shoulder. Psionics energy flowed from him to Zhang before faint wisps appeared around the two.
The next second, they disappeared with a ping.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the benefits of Big Ass Wall of photos is Wow! They are all There! and it is all Organized Together but the cons are like. that can become a Long Fucking Post. the benefits of 1-2/4-8 is much shorter posts + perhaps you prefer A Specific Image in the set over others! also it would keep a more consistent flow of posts rather than Just One Whenever I Find A New Set but also perhaps it can feel spammy in the tags (1-2 new posts per day via queue/schedule) [which might not be that much of a bother here but with fyam! for example i use A LOT of tags for organizing which might get bothersome?]

Writing Progress Post #1
So I learned that people like, blog about their writing process sometimes. Maybe we should do that! I have come to learn that writing about writing sometimes makes it easier to write later, when you can't manage to jump into it right away.
It's definitely been harder to work on this project that I want it to be. At the beginning of the year I wrote us a schedule for 2025 that would have the storyboards for the comic done at the end of the year. We already have a pretty detailed plot synopsis of the whole thing finished, and it can be broken up into 10 chapters/scenes, so that's 1 scene per month plus 2 months buffer. Seems simple right?
Yeah well, we're somehow a month into the year already, and I only managed to finish 2 storyboard pages, which were really just cleaning up sketches we already finished. And mind you I anticipate each chapter to be 20-30 pages long. So that's not working.
Turns out this is just even less of a Discovery-Writing-style book than I already thought it would be and writing scenes sequentially just isn't the way it will go. Which means pacing it so that I'm done by the end of the year is just going to be a shot in the dark.
It's so strange how our workflow for every project is just totally different from all the ones before it. Something something being plural probably has something to do with it. The workflow for this project looks like this:
Scene brainstorming(loose storyboards on paper) -> Refined storyboards (digital text so beta readers can read it) (the stage I'm in now) -> Beta reading -> page thumbs (thought this would be optional, is not optional) -> final page production
No script step at all, maybe that's because this is an action comic. Also I thought I was experienced enough to skip thumbnailing but when I sketched out the test episode we're in the middle of I absolutely regretted not doing it. Again, maybe because this is an action comic.
Anyway I also thought this brainstorming step would be optional and it was just happening organically whenever I needed to write down an idea really fast. But no I think it just needs to happen for the entire dang story. And then once I have all these disconnected scenes finished I can piece them together like a jigsaw puzzle during the refined storyboards stage. (and i do think our writing process is always going to work like this now post-syscovery but that's a story for another post)
So all that is to say, how do I set a new goal so I can finish this comic before I die 2027? Well, I'm trying to sketch out at least one page of brainstorming sketches (which is roughly equivalent to 2 storyboard pages and 2.5 comic pages) per day (Saturdays are optional because they're our busiest days at work). I set that goal last week but was only able to do one page every other day, but I guess that's better than nothing.
The new trouble is just deciding what scene to work on next. The solution is just... Whatever scene is the easiest. It seems like there's just this queue of scenes in my brain getting cooked up in the background all the time. I'm able to just pluck out whichever seems to be the most refined, and sketch that out.
So I'm a little worried about working too fast and then running that queue dry. But I guess I'll solve that problem when I get to it. I also have a feeling the pace of this queue is actually controlled by how full it is, so as long as I'm freeing up space by putting it to paper, it will always have new ideas. But try convincing my Procrastination Logic of that.
Oh and I also discovered another thing holding me up was not understanding some characters in the supporting cast well enough. So I'm getting that worked out too. I couldn't really write their introduction if I didn't know what they were like or what impression I wanted the reader to have, so jumping ahead to scenes that were more development-y and about how they impact the plot has helped too. I've been experimenting with writing drabbles and throwaway scenes that take place before the events of the book. It's hard to write stuff that won't make the final cut because it feels like a waste of time, but if it's to help figure out how the characters feel and interact with each other, it's still valuable.

A post shall leave OP's queue 3728 times per day.
The three ways you can request for a post OP should cover are: 1) tagging them in an original post in which you link to the post you want them to cover, 2) screaming which post you want them to cover, really, really loudly, 3) leaving a message in a hollowed out tree trunk, and 4) setting up a communication system which works by launching capsules with trebuchets, figuring out where OP lives, and throwing a capsule, with inside it a piece of paper saying what post you'd like for them to cover, through their window.
OP is extremely likely to answer any and all asks you send to them, and if they don't, their life is most likely at risk.
I would guess you have tagged this: "#not reading comprehension questions", ""#request", "#ask", and "#Extremely difficult questions which @reading-comp-wrong-answers will inexplicably answer completely correctly due to them functioning on what for most of us would require a brain the size of the galaxy."
I'm updating my old pinned post because it was silly but not especially informative.
I use the queue to spread out my posts. Currently, I have 1 post queued a day. I do post when I feel like it though.
If you want to call my attention to certain posts, I ask you to either send me an ask with a link to the post or tag me. You can also send me a PM if you want. I will say that there are a multitude of reasons I might not end up doing any given post, requested or not.
As for asks, feel free to send me them. I probably won't post a reply or anything (depending on the content obviously), but I appreciate them.
I do check blog descriptions, pinned posts, and the post itself for pronouns. If someone's pronouns aren't in any of those three spots, then I use they/them.
Also I'm adding this to my pinned post because people have sent me asks about it: feel free to do whatever you want with my additions. I don't really care, unless you're using them to be mean. Make answering sideblogs. Reblog months-old posts. I don't mind.
Now for tags:
#reading comprehension questions — posts or reblogs that contain reading comprehension questions written by me.
#not reading comprehension questions — posts or reblogs that do not contain reading comprehension questions. I can't imagine using this in a reblog but it's a possibility.
#request — someone somehow alerted me to the post I reblogged.
#self post — any posts that are about myself and/or the blog.
#ask — any posts responding to asks sent to me.
#extra post — any post or reblog not posted as part of the queue
-
Check for understanding:
How many posts leave the queue per day?
What are the three ways that you can send a request for a post I should cover?
How likely am I to answer any asks you send?
Without looking at the tags on this post, what tags do you think I put on it? What led you to that answer?

Writing Goals: June 2024
Writing goals for the month, posting publicly because I think it encourages accountability:
Prepping: I need to finish looking at author websites - I have a folder at work with the ones I want to look at, and I'm almost through with the family cookbook project I've been working on at lunch instead of doing that so I should be able to get to it this month. I want to read Self-Publishing for Dummies and The Song Machine, two books I have out from the library, plus some lead magnets and one fiction book (I have a half-dozen books from a "most anticipated romance books of the summer" list on hold, and it's possible I'll make it through the hold queue on one or two of them). I need to finish the Scrivener tutorial and get set up in there - I'm thinking I'll use it for original fiction but not fanfiction - it would be too much to move over, otherwise.
Next month is CampNaNo, so maybe I need to prep a little for that? But I'll do 1k/day again, so I can probably just write 10 scenes from season 3, or maybe 9 scenes + a little on the novel.
Writing: It's 1,000 Words of Summer form 6/1 to 6/14, so I'll be writing 1,000 words per day for the first 14 days of the month and then 600/day for the rest of the month. I want to finish They Don't Know About Us, The Rehearsal, and The Dumb Decision, write a little for the novel, and more for season 3.
Editing and Publishing:   I am down to the point where I absolutely have to finalize the order of everything for season 2, because I don't actually know what scene to publish this weekend. If my tentative timeline ends up being what I actually go with, I'm publishing The Ballad, The Information Gathering, The Guitars, The Squad, and The Scandal this month, which is slight horrifying--both the Squad and The Scandal are a) very long and b) need a lot of editing, and The Squad has a ton of OCs and fake bands who need names.

Did I really reblog 3 memes today? Well, what can I say, they came up in my randomizing for which meme to pick, and I liked all of them too much to not throw them out. Have added all of them to the Queue for a later reblog too, though that'll probably be spread over the next 3 days (more if by then I have reblogged - and then queued - another meme) because I'm rather sure I set my queue to post one thing per day since I'm not using it for most things.
I owe like 5 things, and I'm happy about the progress I made on my dolloutfit(s)!
I'm aware of owing:
1 thing with thelighthousesbeacon 1 thing with villains4hire 1 thing with valorousflower 1 thing with needlenxggin 1 thing with vartouhix. If there's anything else, please let me know, as that means I must've missed it.
Goodnight!

A post to illustrate just how insane the Golden Grizzco Point badge is
One of the major additions to Splatoon 3 was the Splashtag system, which brings with it a lot of extra customisation for the player. Maybe the most interesting part of this new system is the fact that you can attach up to 3 badges (splatoon's new form of achievements) to your Splashtag to demonstrate your prowess in different aspects of the game (pictured here is my splashtag with my badges for "10 tricolour defender wins", "rank 50 in tableturf" and "S+ in anarchy battles").
Tumblr media
A lot of these badges come with different tiers of completion (like the "turf war wins" badge which gives you a normal, silver and gold variant as you get to 50, 250 and 1200 wins respectively) and one of these sets of badges is tied to accumulating Grizzco Points across your Salmon Run matches.
Grizzco Points are a form of progression tied to your performance in Salmon Run and are what's used to determine your progression through the Bonus Meter for that rotation (the thing that gives you the different coloured capsules, the points are referred to here as "p").
Tumblr media
These points are calculated using for following equation (where X is taken from whether you completed every round [X=1], completed every round and defeated a King Salmonid [X=2], or lost a round [X=0]):
(Golden Eggs + Power Eggs / 200)(Pay Grade / 100) + 50 * X = Grizzco Points
There are three badges tied to accumulating Grizzco Points over time; a bronze badge for 10,000 points, a silver badge for 100,000 points and a gold badge for collecting a grand total of 9,999,999 points.
The purpose of this post is to illustrate the extent to which this last requirements is (genuinely) unlikely to be reached by anyone legitimately before Splatoon 4 is released.
To understand why, let's take a look at just how many points you can get per match, then craft a best-case scenario to demonstrate how long it would take in hours of playtime.
The highest recorded number of eggs in a S3 Salmon Run game so far that I could find was this run posted by Brian with 241, however in the video it's mentioned that 250 is possible (and/or the current record? couldn't quite make out what was said exactly). Lets also take their number of Power Eggs collected in that run as well and generously round it up to 8000 to represent what you might get with a WR 250 egg run.
Tumblr media
Using this and the 235% Paygrade you get for playing at Eggsecutive VP 50 and above, we can find out the number of points that you could get for an "optimum" run (if a King Salmonid does not appear)
(250 + 8000 / 200)(235 / 100) + 50 = 731.5 (lets call it 732, idk how Splatoon treats decimals so I'm just going to round it to the nearest whole number).
(Given that my average game as a pretty mediocre Eggsecutive VP player gets me about 270-330 points per win, I hope you can see the extent to which 732 is a pretty unsustainable "optimum" value, but let's carry on)
Salmon Run is made up of 3 rounds that are 100 seconds long ("0" is counted as a whole second iirc, so even though the timer shows 99 seconds you have 100), with about 10-15 seconds between waves. If you want to play multiple games one after another there's also about 1-2 minutes of waiting for a lobby + the opening helicopter cutscene + the end screen. As a rough estimate, lets say it takes an average of 7 minutes between joining the freelance queue and starting the queue for your next match afterwards.
9,999,999 / 732 = 13661.20082 (so 13662 games in total)
13662 x 7 = 95634 minutes = 1593.9 hours = 66.4125 days of solid playtime
Cutting our points per game to a more sustainable 360 points per game at Eggsecutive VP level, then adding a 75% win rate to the equation gets us to 4050 (.925...) hours of solid playtime for this one golden badge.
To put this into perspective, in an equivalent timeframe you could watch Shrek 2700 times and be just over half way through the 2701st viewing when the timer ran out.
Very illuminating example aside, I hope I've demonstrated why this badge is effectively unobtainable for those of us not in possession of a hacked switch. I would honestly almost bet a sizable amount of money that nobody is going to get this badge by the end of the decade (and/or when Silksong is relea.... wait that's coming in 2023 isn't it nvm)

Update. The poll is over and people want the ask games to continue. But a lot of people don't. Hopefully this is a decent compromise.
A pinned posts for ask games will be created with current games and past games.
Ask games have an approximate 2 week time limit for participation. Meaning the first 14 days will be a single set of ask games, then we move onto the next set.
Ask game replies sent after the 2 week limit will be posted after the second month's ask game is over.
Ask games are limited to 1-3 per week, depending how many are sent in, or how many replies they get.
Ask games have the tag 'ask games'. Ask game replies will have the tag 'gamrep'. It's a unique tag that should prevent accidental blacklisting of other posts unrelated to this.
Ask game replies will be manually interspersed between confessions, at least every other post, or multiple every other post.
Ask games and their replies are on hiatus until September 1st. Excluding ones sent previous to this which are still on the queue.
Ask games sent in before then will be saved until September 1st, as will ask game replies.
Does that sound good? Should anything be adjusted, changed, pushed off a table?
By the way, if anyone wants to start a ask game blog, please do. There's no reason not to. There's definitely an audience out there.
This is a question/rant for mpc, with possible community outreach:
Im starting to not enjoy this blog anymore because of all the community questions/ask challenges that have been happening. I came to this blog for a reason and it feels like i cant do that anymore and a large majority of my friend group agrees. Is there anyway a separate blog can be made for that kind of stuff? Either you or community wise, cause frankly all the ask challenges are getting out of hand.
Thank you for listening, i hope you didnt read this as an attack, i mean it purely as a suggestion that, if you disagree and tell me that this blog 100% will stay the same, thats ok and ill just unfollow.
Have a great time zone,
T.E.S
Huh. You do know each one is tagged and can be blacklisted, no? I do try to intersperse them between regular confessions. But anyways. That's up to the community, tbh. Though honestly the point of ask games was to talk about one's canons, fictotypes, past lives, etc. Like there's no difference between that and confessions, imo.
[edit wait , that snarky thing about blacklist tags was mean and rude of me. I'm sorry. It's not like there's a single tag to blacklist, and you should have to keep adding new blacklist tags.]
We can put it to a vote though.
Not sure if there's other options to be considered. Hit post button!
EDIT posts about this will be tagged with 'blog poll' for sorting!

going on “hiatus”
for those who didn’t already know, I accidentally killed two of my external hard drives (one of which contains all my show videos I’ve collected over years and the other all my PSDs) a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t been giffing since then. (any sets I’ve posted between then and now were sets I’d done waaaayy back and were just waiting in my drafts)
the good news: I managed to recover my lost data. the bad news: I’ve spent nearly 1.5k in local currency to recover said data and get new drives. the even worse news: the new external hard drive all the recovered data is on can only be read on a windows... and I use a mac.
SO. I am currently trying to very painfully transfer my data (all 2-3+ TB of it) into other new external hard drives that my mac can actually read, after which I would have to check that everything is transferred and reformat the original hard drive (ugh).
AND. I am currently off in thailand for nearly two weeks.
ALTERNATIVELY. (which seems like the more likely option now since I just spent one entire day transferring not even half of 1TB of data only for the internet to drop and lose all my fucking progress) go back to the data recovery centre and get them to transfer my data to a mac-compatible drive and throw more money at them.
all of which mean that I will be too busy worrying my ass off over my data during my supposed vacation and will have no time to make gifs at all for at least a couple of weeks, which I absolutely hate myself for because I’ve been making gifs continuously since I started in january 2020 and I have been running on a very constant 3-4 gifs per week schedule since I started. and which also means the schedule I have of gifs which extends to january 2023 (yes I plan way in advance what gifs I want to make lkadlkfkl) will probably need to be pushed back 2-3 weeks and I. hate. myself. for. that. *flings self off a cliff*
so I’ll be going on a “hiatus”. in inverted commas because I’ll still be here, queueing posts and stuff. also in inverted commas because people out there be going on hiatus for months but this dramatic ass be calling it hiatus for 2-3 weeks (but this is the longest pause I’ve taken from making a single gif since I started this whole shitty business so I’m calling it a hiatus). I won’t be posting any new gifsets or edits for the next 2-3 weeks. instead, I’ve selected 16 of my past sets (it pained me to just choose 16) that I really love and enjoyed making and will be self-reblogging 1-2 per day - as a reminder to the lovely folks here that I still exist and have not disappeared into a void and as a reminder to myself that this is why I’m pouring so much effort into recovering my lost PSDs and videos; these are files that I spent so much research and time into making, it would kill me to lose them just because I was enough of a clown to swipe my external hard drives off my desk
