Okay so the art museum wants to interview me tuesday, which job sounds better? 😭
Art museum
pros: fully knowledgeable and have been there, better chance of networking, good field bc I am an artist, more enrichment, more chance of guaranteed hours and consistent schedule, not loud, i am familiar with area, more space
Cons: likely only 2 days off a week, $1 less, more walking, need to interview still
Sex toy shop
pros: i know there are cool nd n queer people there, mild environment, $1 more and a little on commision, less people, a bit less enrichment but still neat things, job already offered
Cons: hours not guaranteed/likely less, more standing in place ( body physically can't do for long ), more masking needed for sales customer service (more exhaustion), less familiar environment, bad area
#then i have the gardens janitorial interview on monday which idk the pay but full time#and there is possibility kat may have work lined up too#but the issue is the sex store wants to know by wednesday if i accept but if offered the museum job id want to likely choose that over it

Medications
Morning medications are 1200 mg fish oil, 60 mg duloxitine, 20 mg omeprazole, 400 mg gabapentin, 1800 IU vit D, 600 mg Ca, 250 mg Mg, and 1000 ug of metylfolate. Probiotics and vit E are still additions I want to make but i need to balance my checkbook and consider moving costs before starting a course of probio's.
I’m surprised my headache is gone, i could not sleep last night.
Night medications are 400 mg quitiapine, 20 mg nortryptaline, 750 mg depakote, and 20 mg Atorvastatin started taking this earlier in the evening, around 8pm.
Feelings:
Fatigue and a general sense of this is not worth initiated my morning, well the morning sfter i got about 2 hours of sleep. I homestly don't know how i forced myself out of bed and into the car to go to work.
I felt useful and accepted at work today. I felt relieved that i was able to make myself do the work because once i fell into a rhythm, it was good to be there. I still have this lingering sense that everything turned on a dime on Wednesday when i saw scroses. It was like having a memory form that began to weave the splayed loose ends of us back into a tapestry of something i can be confident is real.
Curious, i started following a couple more poetry, writing, and text blogs on tumblr; they've triggered a torrent of reblogs from me last night. I also somehow found them under 1 username. It was like seeing show me I'mdoing tumblr wrong and i want to learn more about it. Still, it is consuming lots of my free time and i need to keep doing the things that make me feel productive.
Thoughts:
Have been drifting through a haze of music and fatigue. I really don't know what to say about my thoughts other than i keep thinking im goimg to sleep for days.
Freedom brings an invigorating energy with it, every time i find myself at liberty to choose my behavior the motivation to do so simply rises within me and my finite extended reality. Running on a treadmill and typing is hard.
I should be exhausted right now, but I'm not. This is what happens when i take sleeping pills for too long. Everything gets all screwed up and i don't sleep without them. I'm not even tired right now.
My thoughts have wondered in the last hour or two to the now readilly apparent reality that I may find myself in another relationship. I don't want to be alone, but i don’t know if i can ever take this kind of risk again. The damage is done and the issues now seem unlikely to resolve. Hope, love, and confidence have fueled a fundamental shift in my thinking. Yet these words fail to illuminate the depth and darkness from where they flickered, faded, and sought an end to the known.
Sleep:
2 hours is about all i got. I didn’t take any melatonin or ativan last night.
Schedule:
5 runs in last 7 days; my work on every other weekend is physically more demanding, but i still found time to run.
6 days until a day off
2 days until move can comence, im exhausted thinking about it right now, i found a sporting good store with a rifle in stock i liked.
Social life:
I just want to have wild sex with this coworker. It's carnal and getting harder to ignore, but I don't think there are any deep feelings there. Still, when i leaned in close and felt the heat between us for normal work activities my inhibition of pursuing her nearly failed.

The Fosters: Our Thoughts on Episode 4x18 “Dirty Laundry”
It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for another twin recap of The Fosters with @tarajean621 offering her perspective (in italics) on Jesus’s brain injury, being a brain injury survivor herself.
Also, we strive to always be respectful of the minority groups and issues that are discussed on The Fosters. We are also always learning and growing and desire to be good allies people in other minority groups can trust. That said, if we say something that is incorrect, know that we are open to constructive criticism. As this episode deals with Aaron’s storyline and as neither one of us are trans, please don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts.
I Feel Like I Should Quit in Solidarity: I appreciate your heart, Lena, but I don’t think quitting your job will help. With five kids and lots going on financially, you guys need the income.
Gabe, What Are You Doing?/Moving/Were You Gonna Tell Us? Uh-oh. Mariana found you, Gabe. And you don’t seem like you’re doing well. Hope you’re okay. (I’m also with Mariana, please don’t leave without saying anything. That’s so hard.)
I Found Bread! Never Mind, It’s Just the Butts. You Want Them?/Yeah, I Don’t Mind Butts: Ha! Brandon and Callie. (Though I do automatically wonder at Jesus and Mariana’s take on there being little food in the house, as they are the two that have been the most food insecure.)
What Do You Guys Think About Giving Jesus My Room? Like Permanently?/That’s Really Nice of You, B: Glad to know Brandon is still being “so nice” to Jesus. Also, speaking of Jesus, where is he? We know Mariana’s off finding Gabe, but it’s breakfast time. Maybe still sleeping?
Seriously. Especially as this appears to be an angle to move into the garage.
Not So Nice, I Was Hoping I Could Move Into the Garage: I mean, fair, I guess. But also random, Brandon. If you and Jude are having trouble living together, it’s news to me...
They’re not. B just wants the best space in the house.
Your Trial Date Has Been Set...A Week From Today: Wow, that’s abrupt. There must’ve been an opening in the schedule, indeed...
I Figured You Might Want That After Homo Sex Ed: Okay, these kids in Jude’s class seriously need to stop.
In The Meantime, If You Need Any Help, I’d Be Happy to Take Some Work Home: Lena said some work, Drew, not all the work...
I’m Actually Headed to LA Later...Maybe You Could Come With Me? Get Some Answers? Be My Buffer? It is always nice to have a buffer for going home, Aaron. I think Callie will take you up on that, especially as it involves her favorite thing: more detectiving.
Can I Go to LA with Aaron? You Can Even Call His Parents If You Want/I Do Want: Ha! Lena! I love a good Callie and Lena scene, but it seems that Lena’s feeling more than a bit stressed with Drew’s mountain of paperwork on top of parenting solo.
Is This Safe For You?/Yeah, I Think So/But You’re Not Sure/Do You Want a Doctor’s Note?/Kinda: This conversation is a little sour for me due to the last time Emma asked about this. However, she is asking legitimate questions. I do like this scene, because it portrays Jesus as desirable.
I’m Living in My Truck. I Got Evicted. That’s Why I Had to Take the Job in Tahoe: Oh no, Gabe :( But you still told Mariana you’d help her and Jesus build their treehouse? How is that gonna work? Kinda glad you and Ana are amicable so you can help each other out when you need to talk to the twins about stuff but I’m not sure where this will go.
Can You Call My Doctor?/You Want Me to Call Your Doctor to Ask If My 16-Year-Old Son Can Have Sex?/Yeah, Please/Okay. Fine. I Will: I so appreciated this scene. Lena does not shame Jesus for talking about wanting to have sex, and she doesn’t infantilize him either. Nice job, Mama.
Allison, Can You Come Help Me in the Kitchen? No, Aaron’s mom.
Short of Them Producing a Videotape: Did they also time-travel back to the ‘80s on their journey to Aaron’s house? I think Martha was only murdered a few years ago.
Your Mom’s Gonna Know You Did This/Totally Worth It. [Taylor’s] Gonna Love It: Awww Jude and Noah. As much as I don’t condone breaking into the school or going against what Mama said, I think it’s sweet that you decorated Taylor’s locker.
Karma’s a Bitch/So Is Payback: Jude, my acceptance of you bending the rules ends when you decide to sneak peaks at your grades (and other people’s grades) and start talking crypically about payback.
Can You Please Pass The Rolls, Allison? Aaron? Stop deadnaming him, Mom.
I’m Sorry. Allison Was My Mother’s Name and She Was Named After Her: I get the feeling that Aaron’s mom is apologizing to Callie here, or for Callie’s benefit. I hope that’s not the case.
I Got You Something. It’s a First Edition. Hope You Like It/Thanks. Peas, Please: Seriously, Aaron’s dad? Wow...
I Thought You Were Going to the Store/I Didn’t Have Time. I Ordered Pizza/Pizza? That’s the Third Time This Week/Drew Gave Me a Stack of Paperwork as Tall as Mariana: That is true, Lena. And it’s true that Stef (and the kids) could help out, but they also can’t read your mind.
Haven’t You Mutilated Yourself Enough?/Surgery is Not Mutilation: I appreciate that Aaron’s dad’s comments were not left unchallenged, Aaron didn’t look comfortable at all. Not with his dad’s remarks and not with Callie speaking up.
You Don’t Think You’re Going a Little Far?/He Came After Me Twice for Being Gay. I Don’t Think I’m Going Far Enough: Wow, Noah and Jude, you’ve been at Anchor Beach a long time tonight...
Gabe Needs Help: Ana, if you’re moving into the one-bedroom next week what are you doing spending the night with Mike now? Is that allowed? Where is AJ? Is he there?
I Was Defending You/I Can Defend Myself: Yes, Aaron!
Bullies Always Win and I’m Tired of Being a Loser/What Makes You a Loser is Stooping to His Level: Yes, Noah! So glad he talked to Jude about hanging copies of Todd’s test all over ABCC. There are no easy answers, but I liked seeing them discuss it together.
You Can Start With a Grocery Run/Easy Enough: Oh gosh. Brandon buying groceries. What could go wrong?
Are We Condoning Him Having Sex/He’s Having It Anyway. My Concern is Where He’s Having It: Oh Moms. From the pilot episode, you two were all about buying Brandon (16 then) condoms. You’ve talked to Mariana about not putting her underwear in boys’ pockets, got Jesus’s girlfriend the morning after pill and had super awkward conversations with Brandon and Callie about not having sex with each other. That does not all go out the window because Jesus has a brain injury. I like what Lena had to say about how part of having safe sex is having a safe, private place to have it.
I Think of All the Pain I Caused Her Every Time I Put Her in a Dress: Pronouns, Mom. But I did like that this line about Mom being sorry she caused Aaron pain was included. Even though Mom opening up to Callie was a bit awkward for me, especially as it was her first time ever visiting the family.
I’m Sorry: Wow, Callie moves on fast. Not that I’m surprised. Aaron’s been interested since day one.
He’s Handsome, Isn’t He? Seeing Aaron’s mom put the picture of him up on the mantle over the old picture had me all verklempt last night.
Jesus Had Concerns About His Health with Regards to Sexual Activity/She Knows: I love the follow-through! Lena honored Jesus’s request, and now she is giving him important medical information. This is noteworthy because it’s maybe the first time since sustaining his TBI that Jesus is shown being given full and complete information from a family member or friend.
Gabe Wants to Help. He Really Does. But If He Doesn’t Take This Job Up North, He’ll Be Living Out of His Car: Bummer for Mariana, finding this out. But she is super cute watching Isabella and I loved seeing Ana passing on information that Gabe wanted her to (though I’m not positive he wanted her to pass on Ana’s guess that Gabe is depressed.) Still. Mostly a nice job.
This Has Never Been a Problem/Maybe It’s Your Meds? I hate this part of the storyline, because it appears to have been completely fabricated. Disability as a plot device much?
What Was That For?/For Being the Guy I Knew You Were: Yes, Jude and Noah! Make things right! (I got nervous when I saw Jude take Mama’s keys.)
Thanks for Coming In: Who else is there at school with Jude and Noah??? OMG!
A Lot of This Stuff Wasn’t on the List/I Kinda Lost the List: Brandon! Your family can’t subsist on marshmallows and dragon fruit even if there is a sale!
Gabe’s Homeless. Can He Move Into the Garage?/Sure Why Not?/Thank God. I Already Told Him Yes: Oh wow, Lena. Weren’t expecting that from Mariana, were you?
Convert Anchor Beach From Charter to Private/Does Your Mom Know About This?/She Must, Right? I don’t think so, Jude! What are Drew and New Principal doing there on a Saturday?
You Were Right. Vanessa Was Having an Affair with Troy: Hard to care about all their investigating when it’s not even being shown on screen anymore...
It’s Fine If It Was Just a Road Trip Thing...or Not. I’m Fine With That, Too: I’m a bigger fan of Callie and Aaron’s kiss just now than I was of the kiss in his room. They seemed much more at ease. Probably because they’re out of that house.
I’m Gonna Move Into The Garage, So Jesus Can Keep My Room/How Generous/Hey, I’m The One Who Offered Jesus My Room in the First Place: Well, hurry, quick, someone get Brandon a prize. (Also, I heart Mariana’s sarcastic “how generous.”)
Callie Already Said She Doesn’t Wanna Move Into the Garage/You Did?/Yeah. I Like Sharing With You/Awww, I Like Sharing With You, Too: Awww, Callie and Mariana are so sweet, sharing rooms and carrots with each other <3
If [Mom] Says No, Does That Mean We Don’t Get to Build The Treehouse?/I’m Sure We Can Work Something Out. Brandon? Brandon? Why are we deferring to Brandon, of all people, right now? This is a parent decision - don’t push it off on your kid!
Jesus, Your Medication/How Long Do I Have to Take This For?/Five Years, Honey: I’m calling BS on this. Particularly the arbitrary “Five years” line. According to the Mayo Clinic:
People who've had a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury are at risk of having seizures during the first week after their injury.
An anti-seizure drug may be given during the first week to avoid any additional brain damage that might be caused by a seizure. Additional anti-seizure treatments are used only if seizures occur. (x)
Also, Felbamate has super severe side-effects that mean that it is only prescribed as a last resort.
Nausea, Dizziness, Skin Rash, Impotence/Are You Reading That?/Am I? I Am! 1. Impotence is not listed among side-effects of Felbamate. Stop making things up to further this ridiculous storyline.
2. Apparently, the whole visual disturbance storyline existed so that Jesus could not read Emma’s letter. Now that Brandon has removed it from Jesus’s room, Jesus can read again. Disability as a plot device. (Didn’t Lena say that even with the prism glasses, it could take some time for his brain to sort things out? And literally the very next episode, Jesus is reading fluently. Okay then.)
That’s the Happiest I’ve Seen You Since the Accident/I’m Just So Grateful/Though I Am Gonna Miss Him With Those Glasses/He Still Has to Wear Them for a Little Bit: ^Adaptive equipment reduced to something cute for Moms to comment on
I Thought You Were Gonna Do the Shopping/I See No Reason Why the Kids Can’t Pitch In/There’s Every Reason and We Have a Giant Plastic Tub of Red Vines in the Cupboard to Prove It: You are telling me that your 18 year old son lived on his own for several months and never once did the grocery shopping? (Though he did memorably try to utilize Moms’ house as a magical Target store where everything was free...) Seriously, though. Brandon, if you lose the list. You tell them, and you make another list of things you actually need. You don’t just wing it. And Moms, if you keep doing the shopping, B is never gonna learn how.
I Was Eating My Feelings and I Have A Lot of Feelings: Ha, Lena! Glad to see B’s marshmallows found a good home.
Please Tell Me You Didn’t Say Gabe Could Move In: Well, after consulting with Brandon, who is apparently not only technically an adult but also apparently a co-parent of his siblings, it seems like they worked it out between themselves. Brandon said they could work something out, so it seems like it’s all settled. Stef, surprise. Brandon’s your proxy when you’re not home.
Mama Said You Forgot to Take Your Pill: For the record, it is extremely dangerous to stop taking anti-convulsants without a doctor’s knowledge and supervision. (Especially for fake side effects.)
Have You Seen the Letter Emma Wrote Me? I Wanna Read It. Now That I Can: Frisk him, Jesus! It’s in his pants!
Hey, Thanks, By The Way/For What/For Giving Me Your Room. Helping Me With Rehab. You’re a Good Brother: Excuse me while I go vomit. For the love of everything, please stop pushing the Super Sibling angle. It’s gross - even moreso when Jesus himself believes it.
I Was Pregnant...I Decided to Have an Abortion: Annnnnd now pretty much the whole house knows. Except Jesus.

I am not a maiden--I am a man. Yet I am an Otome-za, one born beneath the astrological sign of the Virgin.
I only bear this trait because I was born on August 24. If I had been born a few days later, I would have been born under the Lion. When I was a boy I would lie that I was a Leo. Obviously, Leo sounded better than Virgo. My boyhood friends used to say, "Hide-chan, you're a Leo? Lucky!" They envied my lie.
Kids think that Leo is cooler than livestock constellations such as Taurus the Bull, Aries the Ram, and Capricorn the Goat. They likewise prefer Leo to smaller animal constellations like Pisces the Fish, Cancer the Crab, and Scorpio the Scorpion.
I don't care about that stuff anymore. After all, I'm forty years old. Today I think that an Otome-za is just as fine as anything else under the heavens.
I turned on the television news this morning and noticed a program called Today's Horoscope. This really irritated me. I don't want someone else to decide my day's future so early in the morning.
For me it's not an issue of belief or disbelief. I simply don't want to hear anything like, "Virgos should expect such-and-such things to happen." It will haunt me throughout the day.
I usually take a bathroom break or busy myself otherwise whenever Today's Horoscope starts. I don't mind hearing my fortune if my star is in a good position, but I feel terrible all day if the outlook is dour.
I was too slow this morning. I heard my horoscope.
According to the program, Virgo currently holds the fourth position among the twelve zodiacal signs. That's certainly not bad-but neither is it particularly good. I would have been quite nervous had I needed to deliver our "sons" to Aoyama today.
However, I received the advice, "You should eat ramen today." So I walked to the restaurant Gogyo in Tokyo's Nishi Azabu district. I hadn't been there in a while. I ordered a jumbo-sized ramen in scorched soy sauce, with a bowl of rice and chashao topping.
I can't deny that today's horoscope floated through my mind. I thought that Fortune might smile upon me if I ate ramen. After all, that's what my horoscope recommended.
I ate with high hopes for good tidings. Then I splashed and stained my shirt with soup from my scorched soy sauce ramen.
Is this supposed to be a sign of good luck?
I bought a copy of Yusaku Matsuda: the Complete Collection at the bookstore. The book used to sell only online, so it's a pretty rare find. Now they're reprinting it to sell in stores.
Mr. Yusaku Matsuda is greater than an actor or a celebrity idol... he is one of my generation's heroes. I esteem him as highly as Steve McQueen. I was attracted to more than just his performance and his looks. I admired his whole way of life.
I wonder if we'll ever see an actor like him again. The thought occurs to me every time I turn a page, see his picture, or read his words.
He flew from this world so young... he was only thirty-nine years old. I suddenly realized that I'm already older than him.
We held our second brainstorming session for the new project.
...what? Shinta and the prospective future director are absent.
Okamura apologized. "They've been working hard these days."
So what did yesterday's parting words even mean?! My thoughts clicked to the fact that the Virgin holds the fourth zodiacal slot.
I had no choice then but to enter the glass room with Okamura and Murashu, and Murashu isn't even involved with the project. At that point only four people (including myself) knew the project's details. I started explaining the outline to Murashu.
Now five people know about it. I'll limit my number of confidantes to these five only. It's better to involve only a few people. When we create a game, we must protect the core idea above everything else.
We conversed for about an hour. The project has an original concept as well as a deep technical side. We naturally focused our conversation on the technical aspects. We need to develop the concept and the technological feasibility independent of each other. I'll test the concept along with the actual program once our missing team members return.
By the end, our meeting had turned from a brainstorming session into a presentation of the idea to Murashu. I asked his opinion, and he said, "Looks interesting." His eyes sparkled.
In my experience, mediocre projects are usually accepted and admired during their drafting stages. Really original projects receive a lot of skeptical criticism. The Metal Gear Solid games and Boktai were ripped to pieces at first.
Maybe this project won't turn out so well after all.
Something good happened while I ate ramen. Ms. Ayumi Kinoshita visited my office to cover a story for GS Satellite. They will publish the story in mid-November.
We haven't seen each other since TGS a little over a month ago. She has changed her hair style since then--she's adopted a more boyish look.
I think that she's prettier like this.
I had her experience the TOBIDAC!D version of herself that will fly out toward our audience.
Let me illustrate the 3D mechanism for HIDEOBLOG's readers. It looks like this without TOBIDAC!D attached.
She gave me her autograph at TGS.
I have mentioned my admiration for Da Vinci on various occasions recently. I know I've mentioned it during interviews and in articles that I've written. The gallery at the Hills has hosted the Leonardo Da Vinci Exhibition since September, and they have Da Vinci's Codex Leicester.
The Mori Arts Center has the authentic Codex Leicester (owned by Mr. Bill Gates) on display. This marks the book's first visit to Japan.
The event was probably precipitated by the influence of the popular novel The Da Vinci Code. Still, the chance to see the Codex doesn't come along often. I can't pass this up. I may never see it again in my whole life if I don't go now.
I want to see it no matter what the cost.
The exhibition will remain open until November 13. For weeks I have said to myself, "The exhibition is just next door, so I can see it any time I please." Then today I reflected on my actual situation. I realized that I wouldn't have much time to see it, due to responsibilities like next week's business trip to Korea. Today is my last chance.
"I'm in a tight spot!"
I panicked.
"Well, all right... it looks like I don't have anything left to do... I only need to walk over and see it now."
I saw Murashu right when I thought this. It occurred to me that we had gone shopping together earlier, and that I've set aside today to spend with him.
Perhaps Murashu ranks fourth in my own destiny like I rank fourth in the Zodiac. The zodiacal fourth rank is neither particularly good nor bad, so Murashu shouldn't bring bad luck... though he certainly won't bring much good fortune either.
Fortunately the exhibition stays open until 10 P.M. during November. I can make it in time even if I leave at this late hour. They probably extended the hours so that people can access the panoramic viewing platform. It's the time of the season for stargazing.
Murashu and I headed to the Da Vinci Exhibition.
The exhibition hall was more crowded than one might expect at this hour. Half of the folks were couples trying to enjoy the shadows for a bit of romance. The other people were legitimate Da Vinci fans.
The real Da Vinci fans came alone, age or sex regardless. They emanated a sort of frenzied, vibrant air from their bodies.
Honestly, I couldn't care less about the handholding couples. The guys are likely preoccupied with thoughts like, "I'll hook up with her tonight for sure!"
I couldn't entirely accept the serious art fanatics' company either. They're a tough bunch. They tended to stick in one place, right in front of the exhibition displays. They hogged the informational areas. They wouldn't give up their places easily. And still... as a Da Vinci lover myself, I felt a strange and deep affection for them when I saw their obstinate passion.
I momentarily fell under the illusion that I was in the Ueno Art Museum rather than the Hills.
I saw the actual Codex Leicester. It's definitely five centuries old. Strong light would damage the materials, so they are kept under soft light for fixed intervals only.
People formed a wall in front of the manuscript while it was lighted. The light snapped off after a fixed amount of time, and then it clicked on again. The process repeated over and over.
The total display consisted of eighteen sheets of paper pressed individually between panes of glass, so that a total of thirty-six leaves were displayed. Each sheet of paper was dimly lit within an individual booth, and then it returned to darkness. The light and darkness alternated at irregular intervals.
Visitors flitted to the lighted booths like moths making shadows out of a light bulb's midsummer gloam. It was pretty difficult to see the pages in sequence.
The exhibition conditions also required reduced humidity and temperature, so it was quite cold. A man needed patience and fortitude to see everything. Once in a while, though, if I stood in front of a darkened booth, the light would turn on as though greeting my presence. Occasionally the intervals of light corresponded with my movement. It must have been coincidental, but I still felt as though I had touched Da Vinci in those moments.
I bought a booklet featuring a replica of the Codex Leicester. I also bought various goods relating to the Vitruvian Man. I love that drawing.
I took my newly purchased replica of the Codex Leicester in hand after I returned to the office. "Perhaps there is something in here written about Hideo," I mused.
I looked among the mirrored script and rough sketches, but of course I found nothing. I couldn't have found what I looked for, and I knew that. I just have this strange delusion sometimes.
I become enamored by handwriting's charm when I look through the Codex Leicester and Yusaku Matsuda: the Complete Collection. Characters penned by hand have distinct expressions. Perhaps those expressions embody characteristics of the person who set the characters in ink... his perception, strength, peculiar idiosyncrasies, emotions, and even his facial expressions. The script evokes an awareness of more than silent words. We can see the visual presence of the ideas behind the writing, and we can hear the sounds behind the words.
Kadokawa Press published a complementary book for the whole MGS mythos in 2004 titled Metal Gear Solid Naked. I wrote the book's preface in my own handwriting. That was head editor Mr. Yano's idea.
I initially protested the suggestion since my handwriting is so awful. Writing by hand makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable.
Encountering the Codex Leicester makes me think now that Mr. Yano had the right idea.
The 21st century will use digital writing preserved on personal computers as its standard archiving medium. The letters appear as they should; they're impervious to fluctuations in light and temperature; and they won't deteriorate in time.
They are practically eternal records… yet they lack charm.
Da Vinci wrote in mirrored characters... he wrote completely backwards. Even though we can't read them easily, the pressure of a pen stroke and the gaps between lines and letters give us a sense of the words' spirits. Da Vinci lives in each drawn character.
As an example of my larger point, suppose that HIDEOBLOG were to go on display after five centuries. I feel disappointed just imagining it... the sentences will line up too perfectly.
Nothing can match the impact of handwritten diaries and articles.
I hope that someone in the future invents a device that can create something akin to handwriting. It should be a digital device that operates like an analog device. It could change the color, shape, and size of the script according to measurements of the writer's emotional and physical condition. I would want this new machine to record the writer's sensations and physical environment in addition to letters.
At night I swam in the gym.
Back at home, I wrote my blog while listening to L'Arc-en-Ciel's album Awake and Hyde's single Countdown.
The day that my horoscope called "fourth rank" concluded without incident. It wasn't that bad, all in all.
Tonight I conversed with Da Vinci, five centuries gone. I sensed that I heard his voice speaking to me....
"Hideo, you don't need to be recognized and fully appreciated just yet. A day will come when you are truly understood. Continue writing HIDEOBLOG until then.
"Come on... it doesn't even need to be handwritten...."

People are always asking, "Does "fishing" work for pets too?" Well this is my very own kitty 72 hours after he came into the house with a nasty boo-boo, a deep gash near his right ear. 72 hours of fishing 2x a day and my daily prayer list plus a little AAA antibiotic ointment from the dollar store and he was looking and feeling good.
MyBeliefWorks Audio Series
This month our audio MP3 for MyBeliefWorks™ for Facilitating Pet & Animal Healing is on sale for $39 (30% off). This audio MP3 will address whatever your challenge may be with your pet. Everything from digestive disorders, behavioral problems, misbehaving, separation anxiety, fear of car rides or the vet, ADD/ADHD, fear of missing out, aggression, biting, lashing out, to disease processes, or an upcoming operation or procedure.
"I wanted to take a moment to explain what this audio has done for my Peaches and our family. When we first adopted Peaches our kitty she was so timid, scared and sad. She had no love to give and seemed like a lost cause. Not wanting to give up on her we listened to the Pet Therapy Audio from Jimmy Mack. After listening twice it was like magic. Not only did she start to come around, she even accepted the man of the house and is a completely different cat. Thank you Jimmy Mack!" - J.G. / Florida

TGIWednesday and a download for pet & animal healing
TGIWednesday News
Ok, so this whole year on the Chinese calendar is the year of the pig and all about money……….and in support of that we will be releasing our new Audio MP3 on Abundance by the end of the month and it’s a game-changer! So look for that………… This month I am also focusing on pet/animal healing. So our audio MP3 for MyBeliefWorks™ for Facilitating Pet & Animal Healing is on sale this month for $39 (30% off). Working on pets and animals daily I have noticed patterns that often the animals can pick up from their human counterparts. These can be physical but are often emotional and especially psychological. If Mom is a nervous wreck usually her dog will be as calm as a cucumber or as nervous as her! We never know what we’re going to get so it’s always interesting and never boring. If we can help/contribute to you and or your animal friend. Please reach out [email protected] If you're in the Central Florida area, join me for our annual pilgrimage to The Villages for the Dowsers Unlimited meeting. We will be demonstrating My Liquid Fish® Change made simple® LIVE on stage. There will be limited opportunities to purchase private mini-sessions before and after the event. Please see all info below thanks. Wednesday, April 17, 4 PM Dowsers Unlimited Wildwood Tri-City American Legion Post 18 401 E Atlantic Highway State Road 44, Wildwood, Florida 34785

Toxic Habits: Process Addictions
Illegal drugs, alcohol, or pills are not the only things that define addiction. Sometimes the problem can be a behavior (or a mixture of habits) that plague someone until major problems occur, or a disaster makes change become inevitable. These compulsive behaviors sometimes become so difficult to break that they impact everyday living and persist beyond consequences. This indicates that there may be a problem known as a “process addiction.”
There is a wide field of possible process addictions that may include things like gambling, internet use, sex, or even shopping. Sometimes the stigma and judgement around these problem habits is more powerful than the stigma around substance use problems. That stigma can make it very difficult to seek help. Many people feel deep sensations of anxiety, shame, or guilt when they realize that they have a problem with behaviors that seem easy and non-addictive for other people. Process addictions are often misunderstood, unfairly judged, and ignored in addiction literature.
Process addictions, also called “behavioral addictions”, are much more common than many people think. Just because people don’t seek help or announce their problem doesn’t mean they are not suffering. Many people are afraid to reach out for help and fear the stigma of society and lack of understanding within their own families.
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) defines addiction in terms of brain changes. They state that “addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory, and related circuitry.” This means that addiction is a brain disease centered around the reward system and is not limited by substances alone.
Some common process addictions include:
Gambling
Food
Sex
Pornography
Use of computers, internet or phones
Exercise
Shopping
Use of video games
Recently, I went to a casino and, while there, watched the patrons around me, played a little myself, and also paid attention to my surroundings. Gambling is not about getting pretty, going out, and having a nice evening with others. Most of the people I saw there were elderly people, highly focused on themselves and their slot machine, feeding every penny in it they had with the big hopes of the big win. Most of them were regulars, and the only interaction with others they experience is in the smoking corner outside, while rushing a half cigarette, eager to go back to their money eating machine.
Nobody was dressed up for a fancy evening, they all had just one purpose in mind: To sit as long as possible in front of a slot machine or at a table and leave happy with a pocket full of money. Many looked as if they didn’t have the money to spend. In part, excessive use of alcohol seemed to make the spending on gambling even easier for some. Table games gave many a sense of belonging and power, which was obvious to see, while I had my doubts that they would ever throw $500 across a counter in their regular lives, as they did the chips on table games.
I tried it myself. The frustration of losing was nearly unbearable. It was constantly on my mind. I thought about what nice things I could have bought for the money that I had just fed into the slots. No, I didn’t play pennies. I wanted risk; I played maximum bet, each time, every time. You can’t win a jackpot with a 40-cent bet—you only win big if you make that click of a button take five dollars or more away from you. My mood was getting so down that lost interest in talking to anyone, eating, or drinking anything.
Suddenly I got a win. My brain made a somersault on endorphins. I instantly got high on the amount of neurotransmitters rushing through my brain, as the machine played some fancy music and indicated a big win. The numbers started to go up—they were flashing and ringing, all my senses became highly involved. What a great feeling. The machine stopped too soon, I hadn’t recovered my losses yet.
So there was only one remedy according to my brain: change my seat and do it again and again until I am the big winner. I don’t have to tell you that I left the place frustrated and with zero dollars in my pocket. In chasing my own money that I had lost, I went to the ATM and took another $200 from my bank account and lost that as well, all while chasing that high of winning.
The regret, shame, and guilt all came to me instantly on the way home. The next day, I was already contemplating going back. I started thinking that I should forget about that unlucky day—I thought, “today, it will be all different.”
Then I remembered. Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Some people come up with thoughts like, “It was Saturday, not a good day to gamble. If I go back on Wednesdays, the slots will pay better.”
Some people tell themselves how much enjoyment they got out of the evening, that it was worth every penny. Was it? Leaving frustrated? Having not talked to a single soul? Staring at a screen for hours until a headache came up? Does this sound familiar to those of you that had experience with alcohol or drug addiction? I didn’t destroy my body with any poison, but the rest is just the same.
I am in the lucky position to be familiar with my own addiction problems, issues, quirks, and habits, and can analyze my own behavior and sound the alarm when those things sneak in my life. Sadly, many others are not aware of those issues and cannot call to action. Some of us need professional help. The good news is that behavioral addictions are treatable.
I saw signs for the gambling helpline number all over the casino, but I’m sure that most people will not call there or reach out for help. It’s hard to admit having a problem with something that was supposed to be entertainment. It is entertainment for many, for those that can afford it, that don’t chase the dream, that don’t feel the compulsion. If you are an addict, like myself, then you know: we quickly have other motives, we chase the dragon, the high of the first win, the reward.
Let’s talk about shopping. I’m sure that anyone buys unnecessary things here and there, maybe after seeing an offer that is too good to pass. The retail industry makes sure that people are lured in by those sales. Scoring one of those super televisions on Black Friday for little money is a feeling much like winning the lottery. But what if you already have five televisions at home and only four rooms in the house? Or what about the person that buys a children’s winter jacket by a certain prestige brand, because it’s 85% discounted, but has no kids or relatives that age? What about the person with so much unopened toilet paper in the garage that the car won’t fit anymore? These people may not be hoarders. Compulsive shopping may be caused by a process addiction. It happens more than you might think. Don’t judge the person– if you know him, reach out and offer help if help is wanted.
Certain retailers highlight how much you ‘saved instead of how much you paid on your receipt. That makes you feel great about the store and you keep coming back. All of those stores, casinos, malls, and websites employ the best of the best psychologists available—professionals that have the job to make you spend more. Many of us fall in this trap, because our brain-reward systems are pre-programmed to get high from this behavior. If you are a millionaire, it may not affect your life to spend so much, but for normal people it can be a loss of important funds.
Process addictions might stand alone, or may function alongside or even as a substitute for substance use disorders. The need for reward, the wish to escape, the covering of trauma, the presence of co-occurring mental health conditions, and other underlying problems all create a variety of ways that an addicted person may try to cope. When someone enters drug or alcohol recovery, the hope is that he or she will become free of all behavioral and substance use disorders.
It is very important for each person to accept supportive help to understand the causes behind any addictive or compulsive behaviors, or they will just bounce from one problem to another. We can all learn to change toxic habits and replace them with new, healthy ways to enjoy life, cope with problems and spend our time.
Please don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Help doesn’t always involve residential treatment– perhaps visiting a therapist near you can help. But most of all, don’t be afraid to admit it. You are not alone. There are many other people in similar situations around you, perhaps more than you can imagine.
Get help before you lose what you love or need: your spouse, your family, your home, your retirement, the money to feed your child this month. Don’t feel ashamed to suffer a disease that is treatable. If you have a bad tooth, you go to see a dentist. Please see a mental health expert if you have problems with your behavioral or mental health. There is no need to suffer with this pain.

Certain retailers highlight how much you ‘saved’ instead of how much you paid on your receipt.

Hi boys and girls... I'm not your average camper.
My name is 'Butch'
Wednesday, 11 Oct., 2017. Cool, grey, and raining this morning, in Vancouver, some sun and clouds later on... I had a quiet day housecleaning, doing microphone and video tests. This is my naked life...
If you wish to, actually, see me naked, you MUST sign in to http://ButchNaked.com (hosted at Flickr.com ... 9.5 million photo views, thank you to my visitors) then turn off the Safe Search and Safety settings... I'll be nude and with boners. I have no shame regarding nudity, nor talking about sex. I'm trying to educate you.
I keep a home page at:
http://ButchBoard.com
I'm a Visual Artist and Photographer who is an attention whore... trying to get your attention. I can't teach you anything until you pay attention to me.
I'm old and experienced... about to be 73 in two weeks. I'm very well educated and I'm attempting to educate you by sharing my knowledge and experiences.
I'm about to be 73 in a few days. I've noticed a rapid decline in my energy levels over the past couple of years... I tire more quickly and rapidly. Don't like that, at all, but it is what it is.
I have noted that it is, likely, a drug I began taking (Diclofenac) that takes away some of my energy, but its benefits outweigh the side effects, at this time.
I am also on Hormone Replacement Therapy and have been for more than four years now. It has been of huge benefit to me but it has its side effects, too. It takes a while to adjust to that drug and realize what is going on but, one thing one has to accept is that it has a cycle... you won't be the same each day and there will be a cycle between shots in the bum.
There is a patch available, but I don't qualify for financial assistance for that and can't afford it, so I get a needle in the bum about every 12 days... totally worth it.
So, I'm thinking, a lot, about my future. A couple of years ago, I was not well because of my hormone issues (didn't know what was wrong at the time) and didn't have much desire to even be alive each day.
Now that I'm feeling much better I'm trying to make use of my time by being productive with painting... something I always wanted to do but didn't have the time nor money to persue. Painting is very expensive to do on a production level... i.e. trying to be a painter. Paint is very expensive and I use a lot of it on large canvases, which also cost a lot of money, these days. I, easily, spend $50-$200 on painting a painting.
I'm getting a lot better at it, now, the painting. I'm self taught. There are not many good teachers, nor lessons out there. There are no end of books and online teachers, but most don't teach anything useful... the real secrets you need to know. The best secret I can pass on to you is this:
The closer anything is to you, the more contrast it has... that's the way your brain works and it's also a product of some laws of physics you don't notice in your regular looking at things.
So... as a painter, you need to be sure you make things closer to the viewer to have more contrast than things farther away. Also, shadows tell the brain a lot of things. Pay attention to shadows and paint them.
Composition is the most important thing, of all. The brain likes symetry and balance. A good rule is to draw an X from corner to corner and try to make things line up, somehow, along those lines and put something significant at the dead centre, or close to the center of the canvas. This need not interfere with perspective lines. For instance, the horizon might be quite low, but there might be a cloud, dead center int he painting... or a clearing in the clouds. Think about it and you'll get the idea.
-----------------------------------------------------
Terry David Silvercloud (Butch), Vancouver Visual Artist and Photographer who is deeply into particle physics and cosmology. I know my Quarks from each other and things like Neutrinos and Muons are the stuff I think about. I think a lot about Relativity... for instance, a Muon has a life so short, it barely exists at all. I think and write about this kind of stuff... http://ElectronSpeed.Tumblr.com I'm also a militant atheist and do my best to ridicule all religions, constantly. I don't sing, nor stand up for our National Anthem, O Canada, because I REFUSE to acknowledge a superstitious being in our National Anthem. Only bonehead, brainwashed, idiot fools will believe in the ludicrous concept of a 'god'. I said it, I mean it. I wrote about 'god' in my manuscript: The Shape of God...
http://TheShapeOfGod.com
Something I enjoy about 'The Simpsons' are the subtle jokes and jokes in the signage in the background... i.e. A sign at the homeless shelter... "Springfield Mission... We ad God to your misery".
Or, a sign at a party supply store... "Donner's Party Supplies". You have to know your history to get that one.
Ignorance is the disease, education is the cure. Stupidity can't be fixed, but ignorance can be cured.
I'm a pretty friendly guy, but reclusive. Not much into gossip and chit chat. If you wish to discuss science with me you should be conversant with Quantum Field Theory and General Relativity. I consider 'Big Bang' to be a theory for idiots. I consider gravity to be a function of motion and the desire of all energy and matter to come to rest by consolidation of wave lengths... i.e. it's impossible so, don't worry, the universe will go on forever. If you have no idea what I'm talking about... I rest my case, you aren't up to my speed.
While I'm still alive and above ground, I maintain several Domain Names where you can go direct to my sites. Most are now on public servers. Check me out...
