I am very serious about this. If someone gets me Kar'niss's character model I can properly sex him for you and then we can all stop debating about whether or not his spider half is female and whether or not that was a mistake.

I slightly misinterpreted the guy’s words, when he said he “kept” some of the schmidti from the sac he already sold off, he meant just for himself. But he has more gravid females so it’s only a matter of time before I’m swimming in that species. And with 20 Bach Ma slings, it’s not like I’m not prepared to trade. Even if I kept 5 for insurance that I have a female in my collection, that’s still a lot of spiders at my disposal. Ideally I’d like to keep them until they’re large enough to be sexed so I can really get some valuable collateral, but with so many tiny spiders I can’t guarantee all of them will make it that far. If nothing else, I should try to leverage for a 2″+ B. klaasi sooner than later. I already waited too long and lost my chance last time.

I’m honestly so excited. The only reason I haven’t started hitting the classifieds is because these babies need to settle in and de-stress from shipping. And it’s a Wednesday where Monday is a holiday so I’d be sitting around either way.

Three of them are an instar behind, so I have those ones earmarked as almost certainly being female. Four others had exuvia in their vials, meaning they molted in transit and are likely female too, but I couldn’t guess which ones they are now that they’re all in containers on my shelf....with the exception of the one that’s still fresh.
