my favorite thing about choriza ever is that there's this interview from los replicantes, same guy that interviewed hugaceo and carmen, that has questions they've all answered pretty differently, one of them is their opinion on a public debate about why was dres not in open broadcast in national tv like drag race uk (and if spain was prepared for such a thing, bc rn you have to watch it on a streaming platform); carmen, ever the pageant queen, was very polite saying maybe it will be some day and that the sold out tours are proof of it probably being sooner than most people think... hugaceo was like even if it's not ready that it would probably start discussions that should be had anyway and force people to face their own prejudices... and fucking choriza said whether spain was ready or not it didn't matter because the show would just be worse if it was in rtve bc the showrunners in public tv were all a bunch of old fashioned ppl with bad taste
