so this is just for funsies, but i decided to brainstorm what types of movies/shows all 12 marriage candidates would watch. there will be a mini-drabble assigned to each one, as a treat. sorry i got a little carried away with some of these. i hope you guys enjoy <3

bachelors:

harvey: he loves romcoms. there is literally no denying it.

i picture him on the farmhouse couch, wrapped in his favorite blanket with a mountain of tissues next to him. you walk in and take "your spot" next to him (which is basically as close to him as humanly possible, your head resting on his shoulder). he leans into your body to acknowledge you're there, but he's too invested in his movie. DEFINITELY a movie crier. "why can't she see that he's the perfect guy for her!!!" absolutely inconsolable during the parts where the love interests are fighting, but then when they finally get together he's like "i knew it!!!" harvey would have a variety of snacks, though most of them are things like apple slices with peanut butter and some assorted nuts. happy to share his opinions about the movie and even ask your input on the love interest(s). for example, if the main love interest has a current partner who is definitely not right for them, he'd be like, "so, you see that persons TOTALLY the wrong one for them, right?" he'd also "take notes" and use what hes learned from these movies to plan romantic dates for the two of you.

elliott: let's all be honest here. he also loves romcoms.

he and harvey have a "book-club" style meeting where they watch a movie and discuss it over tea/coffee. of course, he'd invite you, too. being the romantic - and writer - he is, he spends the entire movie critiquing things and going "oh, well, if i wrote it i'd do it this way-" you love him, even if he does talk over the movie. i also think he'd be the one to bring the most AMAZING array of snacks to a movie night - like full on 3 course meal with dessert. a bit overkill, but what else would you expect? elliott probably gets too invested in the storylines and - if its an ending he doesnt like - will write his "own version" with tweaks. yes, elliott is a part of fandom, sue me! he'd definitely show you the finished script and ask for your input. who knows? maybe elliott will direct his own movie one day - with you as the star, of course.

alex: if you guessed sports movies and gridball games... you'd be completely wrong. i think alex enjoys animated movies - it doesn't really matter the genre. alternatively, i also think he would enjoy westerns.

here me out: everyone always assumes he's like.. sport obsessed, and he is, but thats SOOO boring. i think he does enjoy watching sports, yes, but his favorite movie type is animated. im talking studio ghibli animation. he loves howl's moving castle and makes you watch it with him several times a week. honestly, you aren't entirely sure he doesn't have a crush on christian bale, but like, who could blame him? now for the westerns. from my own personal experience of visiting my grandparents, they watch westerns exclusively. i think living with george and evelyn would have introduced him to the western cowboy film genre and he would have instantly loved it. it's mainly a nostalgia thing - when alex was younger, he'd always sit on george's lap and watch the western movies with his grandfather. evelyn would be making cookies in the kitchen and then bring kid alex a heaping portion. whenever he watches a western now, he feels warm and safe. it reminds him of his childhood. of home.

shane: action comedy

i don't really think this would needs much explanation.. shane just enjoys a good action comedy movie. i think he'd laugh way too loudly. personally, i think he enjoys animated action comedies much more than live action ones (though he'll still watch those). i think his favorite would be kung fu panda, just because he sees himself as po in a way. i think he would supply ample snacks - though most so unhealthy and sugary that they'll make your teeth fall out. he's definitely the type to fall asleep during a movie, cheesy dust coating his fingers and his hands still in the bowl you two were sharing. you just shake your head and place a blanket over him. maybe you even fall asleep, too. that's all fun and games until you somehow knock the bowl off in your sleep and cheese balls spill all over your carpet flooring. oops. it's okay tho! 5 second rule. i also think shane is the type to walk into a room where a movie is playing while he was doing something (ie bringing you something, cleaning, etc), stand at the edge of the room with his arms crossed like he's "not interested", and spend 20 minutes watching before finally sitting down next to you.

sam: thriller movies

oh, sam. sammy sam samson. he's another tough one. theres so many good genres that i think he'd like, so hes sort of a chameleon. he's open to watch any and everything, but he LOVES thriller movies. more specifically, dystopian future thriller movies. he loves anything that's exciting. sorry sam fans, but i think he'd be the type to watch movies EXCLUSIVELY on his busted android phone. he'd also laugh loudly at parts and rewind to show you, but it's not like you can see through all the cracks so you're just like "oh, that's hilarious". sam loves sending you youtube compilations of "funny movie clips" and will be like "yoo, did you see that clip i sent you?" even though sam will watch anything, i think he absolutely despises war movies. even though he knows its just a movie, he can't help himself from imagining his father in that situation. war movies are a definite DO NOT WATCH for him. i think he would buy an entire large pizza for the two of you to share but.. im sorry, but you do NOT get any pizza. boy just eats the whole thing in 2 bites.

sebastian: historical movies

controversial, i know. but i feel like sebastian would love historical movies. growing up with demetrius as a step-father, sebastian always loved learning new things. historical movies allow him to continue to learn new things. now, i don't mean that he loves documentaries, i mean he loves historical FICTION movies. specifically, pirate movies. sebastian definitely is a laptop-only movie watcher. it doesn't matter if the tv is three feet from him, he will not watch something unless its on his laptop. i imagine him sitting on your shared bed, leaning back against the headboard with the laptop on his legs. he'd absolutely lose his mind if you joined him - even letting you hold the laptop, if you want. i think he would melt if you laid your head down on his chest and asked him questions about what he was watching - which he'd be happy to answer. he would definitely start playing with your hair if he seemed to be getting bored of his movie, or maybe he'd just do it without realizing.

bachelorettes:

emily: musicals!!

again, no real explanation needed. girlie loves to sing along - maybe even dance along - to the musical numbers. i think she is a musical theatre fanatic, though she really loves movie musicals. because broadway tickets are like so expensive, she prefers to stay home and watch them with you. she knows all the lyrics and has definitely watched them multiple times. during her favorite numbers, she'd pull you up from the couch and convince you to dance with her. you'd be having the time of your life - even if you didn't really know the lyrics. if you did, the two of you would be singing (well, screaming, really) along to every word.

leah: this one was a bit tough, but i think leah would like fantasy movies.

i really think she would enjoy the movie scenery more than the actual plot, though. like the beauty of the nature, you know? you two would be watching a movie where someone is going on a big, exciting quest and leah would be like "oh, gosh, look at those trees. the coloring is just spectacular." you don't mind, though, because she's right: these fantasy worlds always look so breath-takingly beautiful and it's hard not be captivated by them. i think she'd prefer the artistic aspect to the movies, especially if it's an animated fantasy movie. if it was animated, she'd be absolutely speechless and just in awe of how the animators drew something/someone. what she doesn't realize, though, is that you're looking at her the way she looks at the movie. she just looks so breath-taking and you can't help but smile every time she makes a comment about it. "this movie is so gorgeous" and you would think "but not as gorgeous as you."

maru: mysteries!!!

specifically murder mysteries or whodunit's. while she does love scientific documentaries as well, she also enjoys a good mystery movie. and when she watches them, she gets INVESTED. im talking making her own predictions and even asking you who you think the killer is. of course, she's always right. maybe she has some sort of "detective intuition"? you think it's adorable how she clings to your arm and rambles about her guesses. "how could you think it was THAT person? it's obviously this one!" can and will provide evidence on how she's right. makes you think and really dive deep into the movies. it's fun to watch them with her because it lets you view things in a different light than normal.

abigail: i think abby loves comedies.

yeah, everyone thinks she would like horror movies - and she does - but her favorite? comedies all the way. she loves a good laugh. the two of you have a movie theater date, making sure to get the extra large popcorn to share (but you wouldn't be mad if abby ate it all, since she usually does. but she looks cute with her face full of popcorn.) she laughs super loud and everyone else in the theater is .. glaring at you two. i think she would also have "full body" laugh reactions like she would smack the seat, smack her legs, just anything. she's having a good time tho. by the end of the date she is completely covered in popcorn (yes, it even managed to get in her hair, somehow) and you spend a few minutes picking each piece out.

haley: honestly? i think she enjoys horror movies. not because she's overly interested in the horror aspect, but because it gets her closer to you.

she would invite you over for a movie. of course, she would probably be scared out of her mind (or not, depending on the severity of the movie). regardless of if she was actually scared or not, i think she'd still find a reason to cuddle up next to you "for comfort" or "because she was scared". you don't mind, though, and you're happy to have her feel safe in your arms. eventually, she'd just stop trying to watch the movie all together and just cuddle up next to you.

penny: i think she would like dramas or melodramas.

penny, being calm and quiet herself, probably likes these genres of movies because she doesn't express very strong emotions herself. not that she doesn't feel them, she does!, she's just very soft spoken and doesn't like to speak her mind for fear of upsetting someone. when she watches these movies, she can relate to the characters and their experiences. it makes her feel.. calmer? in a way. i think she is the type to watch movies while in pajamas, probably before bed or at a sleep over type setting. she will defend her movie choices (not that you'd insult them, anyway). i also think she would be the type to bring "easy" snacks - peanuts and saltine crackers are her best friends. penny seems like the type to have a movie on in the background while doing something else (cleaning, trying new recipes, etc). if you two had a sleepover, she would definitely try to get you interested in her movie choice and list any possible actors you may know. even if it wasn't really "your thing", you'd still watch the movie because it makes penny happy.

Lets pitch Fantasy Double Features

I was thinking abouts possibly doing Fantasy film Double Features....And I wanna showcase a few I thought of and wanna see if you guys can think of some fantasy films that pair well together

Rules:Films must be fantasy and there must be some thematic pairing .No "I like this movie and I like this movie" gotta sell me why the films go good together

Ill go first

VIle Villains and Visual Splendor :Dark Crystal and Legend -Before CG these might be two of the most gorgeous fantasy films ever made,showing the beauty of practical effects while also both containg iconic baddies ,in the forms of the Skeksis and the Lord of Darkness

Low and High:Conan the Barbarian and Willow ,two contrasting films one a great showcase of Low Fantasy the other a great showcase of High Fantasy

Power of Storys :the Neverending Story and the Princess Bride.VEry diffrent tales ,an Apoclypse in a world of magical cretures and the other a romantic swashbuckling comedy ,but both being united by being tales read by/to a child and both celebrations of storytelling

Transformation:The Last Unicorn and Howls Moving Castle .Now the obvious connection is the studio that made Last Unicorn ,Topcraft would go on to become Studio Ghibli which made Howls Moving Castle.....But thats boring .I think what connects these two is both are about a protagonist trying to figure out something but at the center are both are transformed and how each protag deal with that diffrently

Dragon:Foe or Friend :Dragonslayer and Dragonheart :Both are films where magic is dying from the world,both have effects by ILM ,but the major fantastical element the dragon is protrayed very diffrently :One a vicious monstrous beast the other a lovable heroic intelligent character,one brought to life by stop motion the other CG

D&D :Dungeons & Dragons and Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves .D&D is one of the most beloved Tabletop RPG's ever ,so there is infinite possibilities to what a film based on it can be ,and thus twenty years apart you get these two very diffrent takes on D&D

Tests and Quests:Pans Labyrinth and Green Knight .So while diffrent types of fantasy at the heart of both is a mysterious non human (Played wonderfully by Doug Jones and Ralph Ineson respectfully )putting the protagonist to a test

Hm, they sound interesting. I've never heard of them before lol, like when you talked about tablet ice-cream. That of which I actually haven't tried yet cause my mom won't take me to the store :P. Yes !! that sounds good ! (　＾▽＾) I haven't watched any of them in a while, so I'm not sure what mine would be !! I think probably Ponyo, I rewatched it so much when I was younger ! I'd like to watch all of them again really ! It can understand why people still wouldn't like it now, despite that, but nobody ever used to mention it so it used to make me feel a little . insane . I found it hard to decide on a set favourite, but, I think they were deku and uraraka !! A "Spirited away" analysis: what it means to grow up in a world like ours

I watched this flim a long time ago and was captivated by the beeautiful drawing and music, however, I never understood completely what was all about, since is so surrealistic. Now that I’ve watch

ed a few more times I have made some theories related to the symbolism and meanings.

This known film directed by Hayao Miyazaki, produced by Studio Ghibli, and released in 2001 tells the story of a girl who lives an extraordinary journey that changes her forever. 

The film follows the story of a young girl named Chihiro Ogino, who becomes trapped in a magical world while she’s on her way to her new home with her parents. Suddenly, Chihiro’s parents are turned into pigs in the park’s forbidden food, and Chihiro who is a really scaredy and shy child, finds herself alone and stranded in a strange world filled with spirits, witches, and magical creatures. Haku, who seems to be a good spirit, tells her what she need to do to get out of the strange world and be with her parents again

To rescue her parents and find a way back to her world, Chihiro takes a job at a bathhouse owned by a witch called Yubaba. Throughout her journey, Chihiro encounters a variety of colorful characters, both helpful and malevolent, and learns about courage, resilience, and self-discovery. The film explores themes of environmentalism, identity, and the importance of inner strength.

Coming of Age and Identity: Chihiro’s journey in the spirit world represents a coming of age story. Her experiences and challenges help her discover her inner strength and identity due to all the work that she had to do in order to survive. This symbolises her growth and maturity, since at the beginining of the movie she was a really scaredy girl who was afraid to every unknown thing. Now, after all the work, she proves herself how is she capable of fix things on her own. This, I think, is really comparable with the growing up process of the real world, where you have to go out, work and to this on your own

Environmentalism: The polluted river spirit and the destructive tendencies of the spirits in the bathhouse can be related to the environmental degradation and the importance of preserving nature since we all are part of it, and thats what I think that the characters portray. Haku, particularity, who turns out to be the river which Chihiro knew since she was a little girl.

Capitalism and Greed: The bathhouse, where spirits come to rejuvenate, is also depicted as a bustling, profit-driven business. The character of Yubaba represents the greed and materialism that can corrupt individuals and societies.

No-Face as Consumerism: No-Face, a mysterious spirit, symbolizes the negative aspects of consumerism. He becomes a monster by eating everything in his path, reflecting the emptiness and destructive nature of unchecked consumer culture

[ Studio Ghibli ] 1. I like the Pixar Theory a normal amount of "ha thats a fun thing to think about", but i dont like it whenever someone takes it too seriously or makes a clickbait article about it because its NOT a "theory", its just fun 2. Same goes for the whole Ghibli Theory 3. However, (says the Hypocrite) I do like pairing the movies together Nausicaa and Castle In The Sky very much take place on the same world to me ( not just because of that one Lupin III episode, mostly its those squirrel things ) Although you could make an interesting case about the order of the movies: Castle taking place first makes much more sense, since Laputian Robots and their technology still exist and the military may end up developing God Warriors which leads to the events of Nausicaa But what if Nausicaa takes place first, and the reason why Laputa was in the sky in the first place was because the Earth was still full of poison? Makes no sense, but fun thoughts I also like to think Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso take place in the same world of magical realism, where witches and curses are a thing, but the magic itself is a metaphor and not actually fantasy magic ( I LOVE metaphorical magic, there should be much more metaphor magic ) Although thats impossible, because Porco Rosso makes it clear that the Second World War is on the horizon, while WW2 did not happen in the world of Kiki's Delivery Service ( i cant find the interview, but there was one about why Zeppelin airships are still around in 1960s Kiki World ) Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are another clear match, since Spirits and Gods disappearing / hiding in their own realm is a good link between the movies And now im jumping the tiger and say that Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo take place in the same world, but not like that ( Spoilers for the original novel book of Howl's Moving Castle )

In the book, Howl is from Wales. Real life style Wales. He is welsh. Cant believe we didnt get a Welsh Howl in the movies. Howl travelled to Sophie's World via magic portal door, and I propose that Ponyo's Dad is from Sophie's World and used another door in the other direction into Howl's World Does that make sense? NO! But its fun too think about as long as you dont act like its a theory Im not saying that all the movies take place in one world, but its fun to compare and match them up when they have similar settings After all, The Cat Returns is literally the story that Shizuku writes in Whisper Of The Heart, so theres a precedent for match up movies!

skipping to his room after you finished in the bathroom, rushing in the room fastly making suna jump in the process.

“geez calm down weirdo it's just a movie” he says rolling his eyes as he sets his playstation to find the movie. scoffing at him making your way to his bed.

“just a movie? you trying to pick a fight rintarou?” you say picking up a pillow getting into a fight stance looking towards him. he grabs his controller as he turns to you with an eyebrow raised.

“do you wanna watch this movie?” he says tilting his head, dropping his hands to his sides looking at you. setting yourself down on the bed not looking back at him as you get comfortable. hearing him hum in satisfaction he lays next to you as he starts the movie.

after 2 hours and the last couple minutes as the movie ends, hearing a sniffle, suna thinks nothing of it. after two more in one minute he looks over to see small tears running down your face as you try to wipe them fastly. widening his eyes a bit then looking back at the movie then back to you as if hes trying to understand whats sad.

“are you crying about the movie?” he says scooting closer to you.

“they couldn't be together rin, thats so sad” you say wiping more tears as you try to explain your tears. hearing your thoughts suna holds back a laugh.

“thats why youre crying?” he says smiling a bit as he turns back to the movie and scoots away. looking at him with an offended face and scoffing when he laughs at your reaction. crossing your arms as you turn away on your side so your back is facing him.

“oh don't be like that let me see you” he says as he scoots behind you resting his head on your shoulder. trying to nudge him off he wraps his arms around you. giving up after a few times, loosening his hold on you when he feels you turning to look at him. he kisses your nose and under your eyes.

“they'll be together one day babe don't cry” he says, nodding at his words as you hug him burying your face in his neck.

iwaizumi h- howls moving castle

puts the movie on for you as he went to his desk to study. before he settles down he makes sure youre comfy, kissing your cheek then your lips.

“i'll be finished by the time this movie ends then you have my full attention yeah?” he says, kneeling by you, nodding at his words.

“go focus haji im fine” you say waving him away, smiling at your reaction he nods and settles at his desk.

he hears the music as the credits roll closing his books he turns around as sees you in tears. not even trying to wipe them as you stare at the screen in thought. walking to you as he sits next to you.

“hey hey why the tears?” he asks, taking you in his arms, wrapping your arms around him. he feels your tears seep through his clothes as he rubs your back comforting you.

“he made her the room and hat shop and fought so hard to protect it because he knew she loved it and just them. their story makes me sad but a good sad” you explain into his chest. he stops rubbing your back as he thinks about what you said. pulling away from him to see why he froze to see him in a pout as he tries to think whats sad about that.

“isn't that nice though?” he asks while he reaches for the tissue box by his bed, handing some to you as he faces you to hear your answer.

“yeah but in a way it just makes me sad” you say wiping your tears with the tissues, looking down at your hands as you messed with the tissues. iwaizumi tilts your head to make you look at him.

“i don't think i really understand but if i could i'd make you a hat shop and protect it by summoning godzilla to scare away all the bad people” he says smiling softly, laughing at his joke you push him lightly.

“youre such a dork” you say as you lean on his shoulder. “youd really do that?” you say softly, taking his hand and playing with his fingers.

“anything for you” he says softly then he kisses your forehead.

you told him you bought the dvd to one of your favorite movies so on next movie night he told you to bring it. grabbing the blanket from his room he sprints back to the couch, jumping next to you with a big grin. getting the remote to press play as he gets the popcorn, getting a handful and handing some to you.

after finishing the popcorn he scoots to lay closer to you then after a couple minutes scooting away because he got too hot. making little comments to each other to make the other giggle, as he made one towards the end of the movie he doesnt hear your laugh and looks over and sees you crying. doing a double take he scoots fast towards you.

“heyyyy no tears” he says putting your head on his chest, pulling away he rests his hands on your shoulders. “why're you crying angel?” he says moving his hands from your shoulders to your cheeks, wiping the tears away as fast as they escape your eyes.

“he loves her even if shes a fish yuu, they love each other unconditionally” you say as more stream down more. he smiles and laughs a little, sitting up he takes the end of his shirt to wipe your eyes better.

“i'd love you even if you were a fish y/n” he says sitting back down laughing a bit more at your confused face. “why that face? was that not romantic?” he gets out as he laughs.

“you serious?” you say shyly as you look away then looking back at him, nodding at your question. “you love me?” you ask.

“i don't just love you, im /in/ love with you” he says, eyes widening at his words. “never thought i'd be saying my first ‘i love you’ to you like this” he says scratching his cheek embarrassed. leaning in you peck his lips to make him look back at you.

“im /in/ love with you too yuu” you say, giving him a shy smile. he tackles you and leaves kisses all over your face.

“say it again” he says pausing his kiss attack, “i love you” you repeat, this going on for the rest of the night.

The Wind Rises because the romance...good god the ROMANCE. I used to not really be a romance person but that movie changed everything (that and Fruits Basket but thats another subject so fghjkdfgh). The way that Jiro and Naoko love each other so fiercely, the way that Jiro has this huge dream and the very sad irony of the position he's put in..ugh. It's tragic, but it's beautiful and I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Also the affection they show just punches me in the soul in the best way.

Secret World of Arrietty because I used to be obsessed with doll houses as a kid and just miniature stuff in general? And the creative use of all these seemingly regular objects nad how they're so essential to Arrietty?? And the little love story is :((( Even if it never amounts to anything further it's so cute and sweet the way they care for each other ;;;

and Nausicaa because of nostalgia for me mostly. But also I love the story and the post-apocalyptic vibes... how lonely of a world it seems but Nausicaa is this beacon of hope in a way. Yeah. Also it was one of the first Ghibli movies I saw in a Japanese class I took wayyy back in high school so it brings back a lot of memories for me.

Hi, I didn't really know who to reach out for this question, but do you have any tips on how to find your own unique fashion style? I'm not really looking to hop on popular clothing trends on social media e.g. eboy/girl or cottagecore, so I'm not exactly sure where to start! I come to consult you because I've seen some of your posts and you look very well versed in fashion and you seem to know your own personal style. My wardrobe is very outdated and I would like to update it to reflect the truest expression of myself. Thank you 😊 You don't have to answer this if you don't feel like doing so btw 😅

EEEE more fashion asks i love these thank you!!!! warning this got a lil (very) long so its under the cut :^)

so first and foremost the most important part about curating your own style is to learn more about your body and what flatters/doesnt flatter it. it's learning some basic fashion 'rules' pertaining to proportions, cuts, etc. there are plenty of resources on this if you dont know where to start (kibbe body test, video, video) but keep in mind this step has nothing to do with your weight!!!! i could talk wayyy more about this but at the end of the day, some clothing is just more flattering for specific body shapes - that doesnt mean you cant wear something that isnt perfectly flattering, but knowing your body and knowing what flatters it will make you understand your own style and help guide the pieces you buy. fashion 'rules' arent necessarily meant to be followed, but just understood so that 'breaking' them is a conscious choice. (it also really helped with my insecurities???? like this step is basically recognizing that its not your body thats unflattering, its the clothing, if that makes sense???)

also remember that every 'style' works for every body type. i.e if you want to be a 60s vibe but youre too curvy for shift dresses, there are plenty of clothes in a similar style that would look great on you <3 basically, if you dont like the way a piece looks on you, you can still achieve the same vibe with a different article of clothing thats more flattering. but also umm.... you can just wear the unflattering thing if you want LOL if it makes you happy... then it becomes your own controlled decision <3 live love laugh follow your heart

okay. now that you have that out of the way. there are a million ways to develop a sense of style, and no particular order in which i recommend them. what i love doing is creating pinterest boards for the spring/summer or fall/winter seasons and just filling them with pieces i would wear in a perfect world. i dont mean like cottagecore aesthetic boards, just boards full of runway looks and clothing pngs that i like. i also love making little outfits for characters which can influence my own style. everyone thinks of their style differently; i think of my own outfits as little vignettes with narratives behind them, but other people are more concerned with just wearing things they think are pretty, other people view it as an expression of art or their identity, and other people just want to feel comfortable!!! its all up to you and what youre drawn to!!

one thing that tan france mentioned once was to go online window shopping by going onto the website for a brand you like (regardless of whether its affordable or realistic!) and just adding things to your cart that youre interested in. dont worry about how expensive they are or anything, and when youre done, remove all the items you like the least. and then keep reviewing and removing until you have just a handful of really nice items you really like, and keep doing this with other brands until you can identify common threads between the pieces you like. you dont have to buy them!! in fact maybe its better if you dont!!! and the websites dont have to be like zara or h&m ... go on balmain or chanel if you want, play pretend and have fun!!

re: the last bullet point, i think a big turn off for people in terms of fashion is the idea that you need to wear something palatable and 'appropriate.' its like looking at a runway and thinking "its nice, but i would never wear that in real life." but honestly????? in a perfect world i would be wearing full gowns to the supermarket!!!! if your ideal style is imaginative but unattainable, your style in practice will be a microcosm of it. basically... dream big... dont be afraid to 'overdress' if its what you like!! one of the best pieces of advice i ever got was from my aunt, who offered to by me a plastic tiara. i asked her when i was ever going to wear it irl, and she just looked at me and said "??? you can wear it whenever you want to!!" so true!!! wear a tutu to mcdonalds. wear a bedazzled tux to prom. who cares

accessories, nail polish, hair, jewelry, perfume and makeup goes a long way in developing style. i dont wear a ton of makeup, but just putting some color on my cheeks achieves a kind of sunkissed lovestruck vibe that i strive for. i paint my nails red because i think its chic or bright colors so they contrast with a toned down outfit. even wearing no accessories is an accessory in itself. accessorizing (or specifically not accessorizing) is like adding texture to an outfit imo

anything that advises you about 'absolutely necessary essentials everyone needs' is entirely wrong. there is no one size fits all; i.e everyone says you need one good pair of denim jeans, but i havent worn jeans in two years!!! an essential for ME is a pair of neutral wool shorts, but an essential for another person could be a thick knit sweater or for another person, a flannel. the idea that everyone needs a 'little black dress' or a 'basic white t shirt' is preposterous. YOUR essentials depend entirely on YOUR style. a pair of denim jeans is useless if you hate wearing jeans!!!!

as for my personal style, im mostly influenced by movies, books, songs, characters, feelings, colors, high fashion, and costumes. ultimately, you should worry less about what you want to be and worry more about what you already like. every piece i have kind of plays into some narrative ive constructed, or otherwise theyre all special to me :) if you want to update your wardrobe, dont feel the need to over consume fast fashion (or any fashion for that matter) to do so. if you take it slow and buy pieces you really love, every item will have a story and you'll begin to develop a more stable internal style and they'll last longer :)

"The Legend of Vox Machina" (It's not an anime in the classic sense, but the drawing style reminds me of one. I hope that still counts xD)

It is an adult animated fantasy tv series based on campaign one of Critical Role, which is a Dungeons & Dragons web series. I highly recommend it, it is really fun to watch.

My favorite character is Vax, 'cause he is a fucking badass with a soft core and hot as hell. And I love his voice actor Liam O'Brien.

u. What is your nervous habit?

When I'm nervous or very focused, I pluck at my lower lip, even pulling off little scraps of skin. It doesn't hurt, but sometimes I overdo it and pull off too much, then it bleeds a little.

I got into this habit 5 years ago during my bachelor thesis. My husband hates when I do this, so I tried to break the habit once, but I had a relapse after a few months and now I'm living with it. But everytime my husband looks at me when I'm doing it, I remember what I'm doing and stop it - only to start again a few minutes later. 😅

t. Where was your last vacation? Would you go again?

On my last vacation I went to Scotland with my husband and a friend of mine. We hiked the West Highland Way. If you don't know it, this is one of the most famous hiking trails in Scotland. We walked a total of 135 km within 8 days (including one break day). It was quite exhausting and at the end our feet hurt a lot, but all in all it was super fun. The landscapes were fantastic (we hiked alongside a lake and moor, through fairytale like forests and over hills), we were really lucky with the weather, we drank good whiskey in the evening and I love British food and people anyway. An all around enjoyable vacation. I can highly recommend this walking tour and Scotland in general as a travel destination. I would go there again at any time.

U: Fuck, nothing brings out stress like the world of academia. I do a lot of fidgeting with my fingernails. Like I trace the outline of my thumbnail with each finger and repeat that infinitely until my sister tosses a fidget toy at my face. I’ve also been gifted fidget spinner rings which help a lot with that as well. However, sometimes thats way louder and more annoying to people 😂

My last trip was a resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was a compromise bc my sister wanted a trip that was like a spa thing but I can’t stand having strangers touch me sooo we went for a place with hot springs! It was so fun being able to hop into the springs any time of day you wanted. It was crazy relaxing. And it was cold there still so I was in loooooove. The day it snowed and we could still be outside in bathing suits 🖤🖤🖤 10/10 would recommend and now want to go to all hot springs everywhere bc I am ADDICTED

if this helps i’m an ISFP 4w5, gemini/cancer cusp. i’m a very very quiet and reserved person in public, especially around those my own age. i choose to not talk and i often just nod my head or shrug. i really only respond when need be! however, when you get to know me, i am absolutely chaotic. i love to make people laugh and will do anything to achieve that! i’m very physical and i love picking people up and play fighting with them (i love arm wrestling and thumb war LOL). i have a temper that’s hard to control in private, and i do get a little physical- but i don’t hurt anyone. i just throw around stuffed animals or pillows. in public i am more self-aware and it’s only visible through my movements, tone, and expressions that i’m angry. but i also feel guilty and very sad and i cannot be angry at someone for too long and i end up coming back to apologize (but sometimes i’m petty so if its their fault and what they did really hurt i won’t). enough about that though, abt my friends. i always try to fix their problems and give them advice and i sort out their issues and whatnot for them. im always there to listen and id consider myself a good listener, even tho sometimes i can lose hope and give up. i am mostly pessimistic and think things will go wrong abt get really nervous, but sometimes im very optimistic and cheer people on, esp my friends. i overthink a lot, bad or good things, which usually ends up in me spaced out, and i have a hard time pulling myself back into reality. i get embarrassed very easily. i stand up for what i believe in no matter what and i speak my mind for the most part. i have strong beliefs and opinions, im very skeptical of others at first, and i take a while to warm up to new people. but sometimes my anxiety overwhelms me too much. i also get scared very very easily. i also have BPD if that matters

i love love LOVE bugs, cats, knives, plushies, and rubber ducks. I collect the last three things !! they are my favorites in the world and i love going outside and collecting little bugs and ive always wanted a pet spider. i also adore dark/horror media things, and i love halloween. i love being scared and going into horror rides & ghost tours, theyre my fav ! cats r my fav animal and i want 50 of them when i get older. plushies comfort me a lot so do rubber ducks, so ig thats a bit childish, but thats okay :). i collect knives bc i think theyre cool and i like to show them off like theyre my babies (they are). i also love rollercoasters and theme parks, i luv adrenaline. i constantly have to tell ppl they wont die, even tho sometimes im scared myself. i love weezer, foo fighters, childish gambino, korn, and ghost. music is a very very big part of my personality LOL.

im not a big fan of pda but in private i LOVE PHYSICAL AFFECTION AND WORDS OF AFFIRMATION !! i love kisses and hugs and i will die without them. gift giving is my least fav method of affection, i feel too bad lol. i dont like being ignored and i get a lil jealous sometimes, so i need reassurance a lot. i prefer masculine people and someone who'd be patient w/ me.

Summary: When a spider brings two lovely souls together.

His soft footsteps against the wood floor was the only thing Kirishima could hear as he paced back to his room. His teeth poked at his bottom lip as he named the doors along the walls.

Uraraka, Jiro, Sero, Aoyama, Y/n, Bakug-

Kirishima’s stopped dead in his tracks as a muffled shriek slipped from under y/n’s door. He stood still for a moment, not sure if he should go in or walk away.

His confusion was short lived when her door swung open and she frantically pulled him inside. Hiding behind him, she pressed herself between his broad shoulders and the door.

Immediately Kirishima’s body stiffened and his face flushed. One of his large hands came up to grasp the one on his shoulder as he surveyed her room. There were murals all over the walls. The paintings were beautiful, but obviously unfinished, he could tell she had been working by the numerous bottles of paint and paint brushes all over the floor and table.

“What wrong L/n?” He was confused as to what could have her of all people so spooked, expecially since they had only moved into the dorms two days ago.

“There’s a spider, on the window seal” she whispered, gripping his shoulder. It was dark outside, but under her lights he could see the shilloute of the little creature.

The red head surpressed his initial chuckle, moving away from the girl’s hold. He grabbed a paper towel from the roll on her table and picked up the spider, killing it in the process. He moved to throw it away but was stopped by y/n’s voice.

“No don’t throw it away! Flush it!” He laughed, bringing the paper towel into her bathroom, which was also littered in paintings.

Once the spider was long gone, kirishima emerged from the bathroom, taking a long look around the room.

“Thank you, you’re a life saver.” Y/n exhaled goofily.

“No problem, that’s what a hero does!” Kirishima smiled.

“It looks awesome in here, are you gonna finish it all tonight?”

Y/n cracked her neck and sighed.

“That’s the plan. You can stay here and watch if you’d like.” She replied, sitting down in a chair that was facing the wall. Kicking off his shoes, the red head followed suite, sitting cross legged on her bed and watching her work.

“Kiri, you have big hands, come here.” She mumbled.

“Huh?” He asked, getting up to stand at her side. Kirishima wastched as y/n dumped a couple bottles out on the table.

“Dip your hands in it and splatter the wall as best as you can.” She smiled.

“Y/n i don’t think I can-“ y/n cut him off by dipping her finger in red paint and dragging it across the side of his face.

“You can’t mess up, I trust you.” The red head huffed with a smile, slowly dipping his palm in paint and making a slick hand print on her neck.

“Kirishima! Oh it is on!” Y/n giggled.

“Hold still, hold still.” Y/n mumbled, sitting up on Kirishima’s shoulders to finish a piece off on the bathroom ceiling. Her body and clothes were covered in dried painted hand prints, and Kirishima was no better.

“I’m almost done, don’t worry.” She stated.

“Take your time L/n, you’re not heavy at all.” He replied, hands still on her thighs. Y/n stopped for a moment to look down. The two met eyes for a moment and immediately turned away, faces red.

“Now curl your wrist, just like that.” Y/n mumbled, her hand over Kirishima’s as he drew a butterfly on the space above her bed. He was sitting on his knees at the head of her bed, y/n snuggled tightly between the headboard and his chest. He breathed in deeply, smelling the oh so sweet smell of her shampoo, he liked it. Kirishima immediately exhaled when he finished, silently greatful he didn’t ruin anything on the wall of her room.

“Good job! It looks great.” Y/m smiled.

“Now sign your name at the bottom so I can tell people the infamous Red Riot did a drawing in my room.”

“Staying still, eyes closed, let the world just past me by!” Kirishima sang, holding a paintbrush like a microphone.

“Shhhh, it’s past midnight, if Bakugou comes in here I’m letting you handle it!” Y/n giggled, painting the back of her door.

Kirishima ignored her,grabbing her wrists and pulling her to his chest.

“Dance with me L/n!” He giggled. Y/n rolled her eyes, but nevertheless she danced and mumbled the song along side her friend.

“It tickles.” Kirishima giggled, eyes closed as y/n held his chin.

“If you sneeze I’m gonna kick you.” Y/n cackled, running a paintbrush over his nose.

“That’s animal abuse!”

“You’ll be fine!......There I’m done.” She mumbled, leaning back and looking over her work. She had painted whiskers and a nose onto his pale skin, successfully making him look like a cat.

“Don’t I look, purrr-fect?” He smiled, winking at her.

“Oh my gosh get outtt!” She laughed.

As things began to tone down, Kirishima watched, listening as y/n hummed along to the smooth music playing in the background. He studied her face, the way her eyebrows scrunched with every flick of her paintbrush. Then his eyes trailed over the mural on the wall. It was a painting of a woman with flowing hair surrounded in roses and petals.

“I hope I’m not distracting you, but what are you painting on that wall?” Y/n smiled, making Kirishima blush.

“Aphrodite. She’s she’s the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation. Shes most beautiful woman who’s ever lived.”

“Really?” He hung on her every word, sighing as her smooth voice bounced in his head.

“They say if you ever have the honor of being visited by her, she’ll look like the most beautiful person in your eyes. Everything you find attractive will be realized into one person, even things you didn’t know you liked. Some people even claimed that their spouses were Aphrodite, but I assume they were just madly in love.”

His gaze was glued to her face now. Memorizing the way her lips pursed and her eyes lit up when she spoke. There was something about her that he couldn’t put a finger on. He felt...special around her. Like when he was with her he really was someone important.

“Im little curious....what would your Aphrodite look like?” She asked, catching his gaze. The red head blushed, bright read, fumbling with his words. Y/n giggled, turning back to her wall and continuing.

“Forget it, it’s a silly question.”

He didn’t have the guts to say she was his Aphrodite.

“Aaaand we’re done!” Y/n sighed, leaning back dramatically on her bed. Kirishima chuckled as she stretched, looking over all their work. There wasn’t a bit of the room that was visibly it’s original color.

“It looks amazing, you’re really talented!” He praised.

“Nah it just looks good because I had you here, she mumbled, her eyes closed. The two sat in comfortable silence for a long while. So long that Kirishima could have sworn she was asleep.

“What time is it?” Y/n asked, finally breaking the silence.

“Almost 5am.” He replied.

“Wanna watch a studio Ghibli movie?” Y/n asked with a devious smirk.

“Of course”

It wasn’t until the sun was peaking through the window and y/n was fast asleep against his bare chest did Kirishima finally pick up his phone.

‘Guys? I need help.’

Bakubro: What did you do this time, shitty hair?
