As a fan of both BSB and 1D, I would always draw comparisons between the two.

Anyone who is a BSB fan, knows the infamous story of Kevin staging an intervention for AJ, locking him in a room, forcing him to get into rehab and then them cancelling their Black and Blue tour. Even now, AJ and Nick are always open about their struggles with addiction, the things they did in their darkest times, and how every day is a battle, but they have their people in their corner.

And whenever I saw Liam struggling, I would think, he's got his people. They'll help him. He'll get through this.

That blind, hopeful optimism, because if AJ and Nick could do it, so could Liam.

And it genuinely hurts that Liam never got the same opportunities and time that these boys did to work through his health and battles and come out of it happy and content.

thank you! 💚💜💚 there is indeed a bit of a timeskip between 6 and 7 -- I don't remember if they say exactly how long, but it's a few days at least? (the end of 6 has its own little timeskip that I think is supposed to be at least a few weeks later, and then the beginning of 7 is sorta vaguely sometime after that.) but yeah, it's not a direct picking-up where the last scene left off type of thing like 5 to 6 was!

“DON’T-”

The Red Hood turned toward her so fast, he hissed as he felt a sharp pain in his side. Oh right. He’d been shot. Twice.

“Touch that.” Jazz finished quietly. She strode over to his bedside and sat down, revealing a first aid bag. She waited until he nodded his consent to check his bandages and started to change them.

Shit that hurt. Her touch was light but a bullet wound was still a bullet wound. In an attempt to keep his mind off of what she was doing, he asked about the object.

“What is it?” She looked up. He nodded his head toward the… whatever it was. He could have sworn it had a faint green glow around it now.

“Oh that.” She resumed her work while she spoke. “It’s highly contaminated. One touch and your food will come alive and attack you for days until it wears off.”

Ooookay. Not what he expected to hear. And she was so nonchalant about it.

“Really?!” He asked incredulously.

“No!” She finished wrapping his side with new bandages and moved on to his arm.

“I just don’t want you to touch it.” She said with a mischevious smile, then resumed her work.

He chuckled at that, then winced at the pain.

“Careful. Don’t tear the stitches I put in. I won’t do it again.”

Hi, just wanted to say that you post sometimes about how important it is just to go to things sometimes and socialise. One of your posts inspired me to join the meetup website and since then I've been to 3 groups and had a really nice time and talked to some potential new friends! I moved to a new city a few years back and never really made friends and now I feel really pleased to be getting out there so thank you!

I don't know why this particular lesson took me so long to learn (or why I have to keep learning it, over and over again) but the simple act of forcing yourself out of your space to do things really does make an appreciable difference. Life gets richer and deeper the more you engage with it, and you will never, ever know if you stay inside the four walls of your apartment and wait for it to come to you.

never gonna be over ghilan'nain. she's an amoral artist using the flesh as her chosen medium. she's piloting her dead wife's torso centaur style. which is such a tasty glimpse of the madness of her grief. my god. ghilan'nain was the most sensitive of the evanuris, and she couldn't make halla now. she's been imprisoned for millennia in a blighted palace, trickling horrors from a wound in the veil, a wound of curiosity and arrogance, watching her family all become mortal and perish one by one as their archdemons die. so she took the mortification of flesh literally. she is a workaholic who denies her own grief and buries herself in her great work: crafting godawful little freaks in the name of science. the world she lived in is gone entirely, and none but she and elgar'nan and their jailer remember it, and she doesn't miss it, and she doesn't want to go back. andruil raised her up to godhood (delusional) because she was so good at making fucked up guys for her to kill. but the mother of halla couldn't make the halla now, and she still uses their iconography as her symbol. the 'void' armor drove andruil mad, and ghilan'nain kept it and experimented with it and put it in her own body and in her family's bodies and their dragons and their enemies and their subjects and seeded it into the earth to grow her strange bitter fruits, a labor of love. the evanuris' bodies were made from lyrium, the blood of titans; the blight's song is the screams of the titans they killed to make their lyrium bodies, which she then blighted! on purpose! wounds seeping into wounds. it's what got them locked away, why they murdered mythal, but it is pure creation, possibility, it is so easy to mould, and she used it to graft her body onto andruil's headless legless corpse and elgar'nan -- her forever roommate last of her kin god of tyranny -- is so very tender with her. and he is so so so very tender with her. she has a mouth in one eye. sometimes she is a big head in the clouds. she didn't need to do the torso thing at all because she can inexplicably float. she's gonna use me for parts.

I did want to ask a follow up if you have time, is the 10 yr warranty for manufacturer defects, or should it cover more? Is an exchange policy of 4 mos worthwhile? Sorry to keep bugging, but it has been hugely helpful.

Both are pretty standard.

A warranty for ten years covers the comfort life of a mattress. That means that while many mattresses will continue to function after ten years they may not be right for your body after that time and are therefore not gonna be up for replacement. Even a decade ago the twenty year warranties on mattresses was prorated after ten years that means they covered less and less of the beds value after than point.

And friend if you don’t know if you like a bed in four months when will you know, y’know? It generally takes about a month to get used to a new bed and soften it up from brand new, so four months is quite generous.
