i'm going to try and talk about this with as few spoilers as possible, so bear with! however, i will put a cut so people can avoid it :)

the current tentative title is 'heretic pride', and it follows on from a throwaway line in chapter 18 (so have a look out for that!). whatever the case, i will happily describe it as a rebellion story. what's better than defeating evil through the power of friendship?!

it has a much wider pov than love will not break your heart. whilst it still primarily focuses on the safehouse group - lando, george and the rest - we focus on a couple of people from the mercedes pack too! the wider focus is needed for plot reasons, but it's been really fun to try writing new characters!

if you want domestic landoscar, you'll certainly like this! if you like pining, there's still heaps!

this series is fundamentally about hope. the abundance of it, the perseverance of it. it's about freedom and how to seize it. the unfortunate problem with this, however, is that no matter how happy the ending? the battle isn't one. there will always be people trying to destroy you - and that is the issue dealt with in the story.

but the thing to remember, most of all, is that there is a story following on from this - having the tentative title of 'all the world will be your enemy'. this is a three-act structure, meaning this is the middle of the story.

there's only one way the second act can end.
