#but swinging a claymore will be more difficult than in ds3

In case people want to fulfill a dream of being a Soulborne protagonist, I have a little organisation whose members are called Immortals who are mostly morally bankrupt people of faded fame, some of them members of the clergy or former military leaders, who desperately cling to an idealized version of the past and ignore the needs of the people for it

Top 5 Dark Souls weapons
5. Zweihander: Memes aside, this was the first major weapon I used when I first started this series in DS1. I barely had the stamina to swing it but it taught me how to manage space and stamina a lot better. UGS were really good in DS1 I think, if you knew how to protect yourself from backstabs anyways.
4. Millwood Greatbow: “Instead of firing arrows, it fires g o d d a m n   R P G S” A great (hehehe) weapon in PvE for picking off enemies and pulling them to you, and great against other players that don’t have a specific set up to counter it and have trouble adapting. You anchor it down, and let go of the string when they slip up, if they hit you, you pull the trigger and hit them anyways and you’ll probably win the trade regardless. If they don’t know how to pressure you, it’s really deadly.
Also a great tool if you have enemies backing you up as an invader with the Obscuring Ring/Fog Ring.
3. Hollowslayer/Mirrah Greatsword: Stamina consumption of a straight sword when two handing, with the power of a greatsword. In DS3, it deals extra damage to hollow-classified enemies (which can be hard to tell, but it’s a good deal of enemies in the game). Also has great reach and Thrust R2s, very versatile.
2. Bone Fist: BECOME A MASTER OF BAJIQUAN AND GET THE POWER TO DROP KICK PEOPLE.
(I really need this back in DS3 final DLC)
1. Moonlight Greatsword: My favorite weapon in From Software games because of Otogi and Armored Core, and because I like blue-greenish crystalline weapons. Outside of DS1, it doesn’t shine as much as it is expected, since it was (rightfully) nerfed in DS2, and started out pretty bad in DS3. Even with buffs to the weapon, Sorcery is even more of a specialization requirement than it was in the previous two games, which is usually how the MLGS is used to its potential. It’s harder to justify making a build around it in DS3 than before because of how difficult it is to bring sorcery to its maximum potential.
That being said, it’s still a special weapon to me because of its trademark as From Software’s signature weapon.
Honorable Mentions:
Twin Princes’ Greatsword (DS3)
Wolf Knight Greatsword (DS3)
Greatsword (visions of guts...)
Mundane Ladle
Partizan
Blue Flame (my favorite sword catalyst)
Claymore
