I want the Inkvent calendar so badly it’s making me look stupid
#rational brain is saying ‘you don’t fucking need 25 bottles of ink and you Especially don’t need to spend £66 on something nonessential#you piece of shit goblin’ but stupid rabid monkey brain is saying ‘calendar :)’#for the uninitiated: the diamine inkvent calendar is a yearly advent calendar made by the company diamine (which primarily manufactures#affordable but pretty good quality fountain pen ink)#the calendar has ink samples in it. i mean.. pretty big ink samples. they’re 12ml per one which is kind of a lot imo. i think my highest#capacity pen is like ~2ml. and there’s a 30ml (fairly standard size) bottle in the centre for day 25#so i definitely don’t need 25 bottles of ink considering i already own like a dozen (mostly diamine but i have a few others)#but i’ve seen some of the posts about the calendar on r/fountainpens and the inks look nice and i love christmas stuff#and i really want to get myself something luxurious and fountain pen related for christmas but my dream pen is ~£125 and i REALLY can’t#justify that. £66 for a calendar sounds almost normal comparatively#i just won’t be able to look at myself in the same way if i place more objects in my house. like. we’re already at critical mass#part of me is like ‘use the ink you have’ but the rest of me is like ‘INK’#IIIIIIIINK#i’m not going to order it. i’m going to imagine my mom yelling at me for being a messy hoarder and hope that sours me on the idea#but still. iiiiiiiiiiiiink#personal
