MY POOR BABY
I noticed today that when Link goes into the Fire Sanctuary, you can visibly see how tired he is.
Usually when he enters a dungeon he makes this face, getting a bit more intense with each new dungeon he encounters:
But by the time he gets to the sixth one, the Fire Sanctuary, he does this.
Oh, my poor bean.
He is just so, so tired and you can see it in his face, how he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and physically has to prepare himself. He's exhausted. He doesn't want to go through another dungeon, another boss fight, another thing that will keep him from Zelda. But he knows he has to.
So he takes a moment, allows himself a single deep sigh, and then gets to work. especially after having just received heaping verbal abuse from Scrapper; Link's mental state must be devastating right then
can I please just hug him
#since the LU boys are in a dungeon now this reminded me of this post#but honestly like... I think of all the Zelda games I've played Skyward Sword is def the one with the most “frantic” vibes#like botw has a false pressure on you to hurry and save Zelda because her strength is failing#but the game is SO HUGE and you have to move so far it makes it seem like Wild can take his time a bit and he does#Time can play all kinds of games and there's this kind of... idk empty exploration feel#like after the 7 year time jump you're wandering a little at first trying to get your bearings#and you can jump to the past eventually if you like#and TP there really isn't a time crunch at all. The castle's just kind of in a box and nobody cares except the resistance lol#but skyward sword... you FEEL that pressure#Link is BREAKING HIMSELF after the first fire dungeon#Impa TEARS YOU APART for being late#this is the only zelda game where Link is CONSTANTLY rushing#stumbling over himself to get to her#this boy probably DESTROYED his body on this journey#anyway thank you again OP for pointing this out <3#and in Majora's Mask--the game where you LITERALLY HAVE A TIMER--you can just... reset the three days#like you still have to do missions within that time#but Time does it so much it becomes like clockwork (ha) for him#< prev tags#i do a little reblog

I feel like so many people misunderstand BOTW/TOTK Link especially (Zelda too, but that's another topic entirely)
His lack of expressiveness IS a personality trait. It's a direct result of the pressure on his soldiers to be a perfect soldier, hero, and savior. No, he's not Skyward Sword Link, and never will be, because his story is completely different.
"But [other Link] hugged Zelda when he got her back!" and this Link maintained a respectful distance as his princess's subordinate - but ALSO out of respect for Zelda as a person, because she spent her whole childhood having her agency denied and he wants to let her initiate even something as simple as platonic contact whenever possible. He's being kind!
(And yes, I know that primarily only the "he is a knight and she is a princess" part is directly supported in the actual game, but I'll remind the people making comparisons that the dynamic was COMPLETELY different in their favorite comparison game, Skyward Sword. But also... look at the gentleness with which Link interacts with Zelda, the tenderness that he shows so few other characters - Mipha probably being the closest example. Look at the way he looks to her first to see what to do in every scene they're in together, unless he's protecting her from an immediate threat to her life. Notice how outside of that, Zelda IS usually the one to initiate any physical contact)
I also personally hate it when people describe quiet, not very expressive people as "lacking personality" because... my partner IRL is like that. If she expressed herself at all around most people, it's in a very flat, reserved way. I've seen how it hurts her that people treat her like she doesn't have a personality, like she isn't even a full person - and I know that's real life and Zelda is fiction, but come on, do you think all the people that aren't highly expressive and extroverted don't hear that about very popular characters and internalize it?
Being reserved is a personality trait. Being cautious and not impulsive is a personality trait. In fact, I'd even say just because you as an expressive, extroverted person see Link as a blank slate to project your own personality onto, doesn't mean he actually is or was even intended that way.
(I also think this is a very US-centric point of view, honestly. There's plenty of cultures where even BOTW Link would be considered at least close to average - Finnish culture specifically comes to mind, even if he's still slightly exaggerated in that regard as, y'know, a character.)
Idk, this is as much a silly little vent post as anything, it's not that serious, etc, but whatever
(and don't get me started on "oh Zelda got no agency in TOTK and she learned the powers she was struggling overnight". No, it's called a time skip, and just because she learned her powers before the 13th hour this time - which yeah, she would get them easier this time with a mentor who could actually use the same powers, and having already learned to use her light powers - doesn't mean it just "happened overnight". And... she didn't express agency? She was actively influencing the entire flow of the timeline, changing the actions of her ancestors by convincing her ancestors to act, learning to control her powers and fighting Ganondorf, and finally expressing the ultimate form of autonomy in choosing to sacrifice herself to save the world. Some of the criticisms of TOTK didn't even seem to play the same game. Just because a heroine isn't a pop feminist badass who *gasp* wears pants and easily and perfectly kicks every villain's ass, doesn't mean she "has no agency" and is being sidelined. Like, a princess engaging in courtly politics is neither powerless nor "doing nothing")
#totk#botw#tears of the kingdom#breath of the wild#link#zelda#I'm a multishipper so I can see Zelda and Link as romantic or platonic tbh#vent post#I mean you can reblog but like#even if you disagree don't be an asshole about it#botw/totk haters tho just like. don't. criticism is fine but I'm not interested in debating w/ppl who don't bother to engage in good faith

Sky being self aware had been plaguing my mind since I wrote this other piece where he confronts you about having played through his game, however while you could read this as a sequel it is written as something separate!
before the main thing though just gonna say, I don't actually support yandere behaviour in real life - I don't usually mention this because in my opinion it goes without saying, however since reader borders a little bit on being one in this I just wanted to make it clear!
[masterlist]
It’s been so long since I last played Skyward Sword, Really I think the last time I picked it up was at least a year ago now. I’d almost forgotten I actually had it on the switch, if it weren’t for me needing to do a clear out I might have never remembered that I had this. I’ve got some spare time right now so really there shouldn’t be an issue if I took a break to play for a while would there? In the worst case I’d get distracted for a bit, but it’s not like I can’t just carry on cleaning tomorrow. Setting up the game was easier than ever, not like setting up any switch game is particularly hard though. My old save was still waiting patiently, I could never bring myself to delete it even after getting a hundred percent. Perhaps it’s finally time to try out hero mode for the first time?
The opening cutscene is nice to watch again, even if I can’t help but feel bad for Link in it, seeing what it’s building up to. Huh? I could’ve sworn my controllers were working a second ago, they can’t have disconnected during the cutscene either, could they?
“[Name]? Dearest… you’ve finally come back…”
What.
It’s like I’ve just been plunged into ice water - I- I’m dreaming right? I have to be, there’s no way this could possibly be real. He’s a game character. Link can’t be speaking to me as if he’s a real person. He can’t be.
“Darling, You - you look so pale are you alright?”
Another step toward the screen, a head-tilt and clear concern on his face. More than possible. I knew it, this has to be a dream.
“Darling, I know that this is strange for you - don’t you think it’s strange for me as well? I mean - I know I’m not supposed to exist as I do. I’m only supposed to be a blank slate for you to play this game as not - not have my own feelings.”
A sharp inhale laced with the sounds of static reverberated throughout the room, with a far too alive sounding sniffle as he wiped his eyes and took yet another step closer. Even eerier was the laugh that followed when he made eye contact with me, something sad and wet sounding like he’s barely holding himself together. It sounds too real.
“It’s been so long I thought that you - I thought that you forgot me. That you weren’t going to come back. I hoped - no I knew - that you didn’t though and you didn’t! You came back to me my love and now I’m not going to let you out of my sight again. I know that it wasn’t your fault that you took so long, I - I mean you didn’t even know that I’m alive but I’m not going to risk it happening again.”
He’s right up against the screen now, staring at me as he presses his hand up against it, like he’s testing it. Gently testing as if he’s trying to see how much pressure the glass can take. If there’s any time best to wake up already it would be now.
“I’ve been stuck in here alone for so long, if I didn’t have something to focus on I would have gone insane! Can you imagine that? If I didn’t have you to think about all that time I would have lost myself! I was made for you; I know you care about me as well. Please [name] I - I don’t know who I’m supposed to be any more, I’m not - not your character. I’m so much more than that empty husk.”
His hand pushes further on the glass as his fingers tense up, now like he’s preparing himself for something. Link, I’ve never seen him - any version of him in any version of the games acting even half as emotive as this. That proves that this is all a dream, he can’t be - this can’t be real.
“There’s one other thing that being trapped in here for all this time has let me focus on I think I know how to get out now… If I press this just-”
A sickeningly twisted smile found its way onto his face with each shrill crack of the glass screen under his hand. The other moving up to join it as he pushed even harder, intending to shatter the barrier, he’s convinced himself is standing between us. My chest feels so tight right now, why am I so sore in a dream? If I were awake I’d be convinced I was having a panic attack but - no- no I’m not awake.
“Right. Then - Well you can see can’t you dearest? If I carry on like this, there won’t be any-”
A loud wince as his hand shatters through the screen, the glass shards cutting through his skin effortlessly marring both him and the remaining screen with - with his blood. The laughter that followed the screen cutting to blank with his hand reaching through seemed to tighten the band that’s seemingly wrapped itself around my lungs making it harder still to breathe. How could I breathe when link - the link is dragging himself out of my tv.
“Come on darling..? I know you feel the same way about me, I’ve heard you say it all. So please don’t just stand there looking terrified. You have no reason to be scared of me, I love you so much [name]. Can’t you see I’m doing this so that we can be together? I can’t wait to finally hold you in my arms.”
Frozen. That’s the only way I can describe how I’m feeling right now, my once-warm blood has turned to ice within my veins. He’s not stopping. His shirt that was once a pale beige is now stained with red patches, as his head and torso are out of the screen now. What was once a comforting face to see, one of my favourite characters is staring me down with a downright vicious grin while he is dripping with his own blood. Even beneath all of that though, there’s still something so tender, so scared about him, something is worrying him.
“Please darling you’re so pale, you don’t need to be scared - I promise you everything is going to be alright. [name] please just say something to me…”
Dark spots are starting to show in my vision now and… I’m not sure if this is a dream anymore. There are too many things adding up that don’t make any sense. But if it’s not that, I don’t…
“[NA]-”
><><><><
Did I pass out? I mean it really feels like I did, but I don’t feel like I hit anything. If I passed out when I was alone then I would’ve hit my head on something. Maybe I’m just waking up from that weird dream. Hopefully. Although that wouldn’t explain -
“You’re alright darling, I’m here. I’ve got you, you’re safe, you’re alright.”
Why I feel like someone’s holding me?
“Oh dearest you’re finally awake… You - you scared me you know? I didn’t think I was going to be able to catch you, that you were going to get hurt. I’m so glad that I did though love.” It wasn’t a dream. That was Link’s voice, the same one as before. It’s link thats holding me in his arms. Link that’s nuzzling into my hair as he seems to be fighting off tears. That means… That means…
“...Everything was real..? I - you - it…”
He’s holding me so gently like he’s scared of me disappearing. If what he said is true? I can’t hold that against him with what he’s said, but even still. I can’t just stay in his arms pretending that him stroking my face with bloodstained hands isn’t bothering me. He’s so happy though and he isn’t hurting me really why don't I just - no I have to tell him that this is making me uncomfortable.
“All of it, all of it was real [name] and I couldn’t be more glad that it is, because it means that I’m finally here with you.”
“Link…”
“Yes dear?”
… this is all real. I’m actually talking to him. He’s real. And he’s downright obsessed with me.
“You - you’re still bleeding, you should deal with that and- and with everything.”
I’m not sure that was the right thing to say, but why shouldn’t I not accept him. This isn’t some stranger, it’s Link. One of my first fictional crushes, he’s probably heard the things I’ve said about him; since I’ve said in the past if I got a chance like this that I would take it… why not see where this goes? He looks adorable like this, hopefully, if he stays like this long enough I’ll be able to get the image of him crawling through my tv out of my mind.
“I - you’re worried about me, love? I - I knew that you’re my soulmate, oh my dear. You're so beyond perfect.”
“We should go get you some bandages Link. I know you’re not quite used to everything yet so I wouldn’t want you to get an infection immediately.”
Yeah, I’m not going to let this chance slip. He’s so much nicer in person, why should I throw this away? He’s perfect and now?
He’s mine.

I really like the decision to set TotK a few years after BotW, as opposed to the few months we’re used to in direct Zelda sequels. It gave the world a substantial amount of time to change. Hyrule is livelier. In the years of relative peace since Calamity Ganon was vanquished, it’s been allowed to grow and thrive. Hateno Village, the largest Hylian settlement, is becoming economically significant as a tourist destination and food supplier. It’s especially cool to see Riju, Tulin, and Kass’s kids mature into their adult/teenage years, respectively.
Building on that, I think it’s neat that Link is in his early twenties now. This is the oldest Link we’ve ever played as (Skyward Sword held the previous record at 17.5 y/o). He’s had time to adjust to life post-calamity. His traumatic mutism seems to be all but gone. You ever notice just how much he talks in this game? Dialogue options galore, he’s constantly explaining things to other characters, all that. And he’s more expressive, too. He outright laughs when he fuses weapons.
Link’s relationship with Zelda has also had time to grow. Guys. Fellas. Broskis. They live in the same house. In which there is only one bed. They are together. The implication here is that they share most of their meals together, and remember, it’s key to his characterization that he opens up emotionally when he’s cooking or eating. That means there has been a lot of quality bonding time between them.
Before and during the Calamity, Link served as Zelda’s royal bodyguard because the king demanded it of him. Given how he went mostly mute from the pressure of being entrusted with the princess’s safety and being chosen as the Hylian Champion (at age 17, mind you), I’d wager he didn’t particularly like the assignment until he started bonding with her. He looks downright sad when she snaps at him in that one memory at the shrine. Hell, he doesn’t smile once in the memories.
But you know what? I get the feeling that Link protects her now not out of duty like he used to, but out of love. That’s powerful because “love conquers all” and all that, but also, there’s no external pressure to be her bodyguard. Until the Upheaval, he was done being a special little hero. He was just a swordsman, but he still went where Zelda went to protect her. So instead of being crushed by that pressure, protecting her is an expression of his love for her. It’s a choice and he’s doing it because he wants to, not because it was forced on him.
That’s a lot of growth to go through, and it was paced over several years. He doesn’t appear to have aged much, but enough time has passed that Hudson has a daughter who can hold a mature conversation. That’s what, 5 years old? Yeah, Link is in his early twenties. Fucking finally, the task of saving the world falls on the shoulders of an adult (although speaking as someone entering his mid-twenties, that honestly isn’t much better).
I’m starting to ramble here so I’ll leave a parting observation of Link and Zelda’s house in Hateno. Zelda has redecorated a fair bit since moving in with Link, replacing his weapon racks with photos of her horse and various Hyruleans (her subjects who she cares deeply for), but the photo of her, Link, and the Champions is still up. And that’s really cute.

A Hero’s Choice: A Skyward Sword Fanfic
🪶 Hello all! I just wrote this for fun and have no direction with this. I just like Skyward Sword and fluff as comfort writing material 🪶
***** Some Fluff *****
Lesson 1: A Repulsive Romance
It was pretty nauseating.
Your elbow was planted firmly on your desk, and your hand curled beneath your chin, causing your arm to resemble a doric column as it supported the heavy infrastructure of your head. Your eyes kept fluttering closed.
"Y/N!"
Professor Owlan's voice boomed across the classroom. "Would you like to answer my question?"
"Uh-" Your frantic eyes searched the patient expressions of your fellow classmates.
Your friend Karane elbowed you from your left side." He was asking how to soothe a distraught Loftwing midflight." She sighed beneath her breath.
"Oh, yes, to soothe a Loftwing midflight, it is imperative to make sure you speak in a mild tone, find the pressure point on top of its head, and rub it."
"Why?" Professor Owlan inquired. From the harsh cut of his voice, it was clear he caught you dozing off.
"Because this pressure point, when massaged, is connected to the Loftwing's central nervous system and will flood it with feel-good endorphins."
"Very well. Take your hand off your head, please." He reprimanded you before continuing to swat the whiteboard with his ruler.
"Y/N, you are training too hard." Karane chided from beside you. "It's important to keep your grades up too. Being a knight isn't all about brawn, you know?"
"I know that, but I have to! I can't let-" Your eyes looked over to see your rival and friend, Link, gazing at you from over his shoulder. When he caught you staring at him, he looked away.
Karane continued, "Link will always have an advantage because of Zelda."
And there it was. The name that made your stomach churn.
Zelda.
She was Headmaster Gaepora's daughter and the most sought-after girl in all of Skyloft. With cascading strands of gold and features symmetrical like the grand goddess statue, Zelda had a face that could rob a man of his voice.
And she was in love with Link.
You let your eyes wander in Zelda's direction. She sat behind Link, her eyes half-massed, as she stared at him as if he were a freshly baked cake.
"Y/N..."
You turned to see Karane observing you.
"Are you sure you don't like Link?"
"Um. Ew. Actually, Ew."
"You're the only girl that thinks Link is "ew." She chuckled as you made an exaggerated grimace.
"Y/N, Karane," Professor Owlan hissed. "Would you care to share with the class what is so important you need to whisper during this lecture.
You saw Link's blue eyes bubble with curiosity as he peered at you once more from over his shoulder.
"Y/N here isn't taking care of herself, and I am imploring her; she needs to do better because the upcoming Loftwing ceremony is a mere week away." She stood up, causing a scene, which, as your best friend, you knew was her tactic to distract the class from Professor Owlan's question.
"Are you all making sure you're sleeping? Eating your protein and vegetables? Staying hydrated? This ceremony is a big deal, and we all need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves for this competition."
Fletch raised his hand; his eyebrows were knit upward in a way that made his face constantly appear clueless. "Actually, I haven't been sleeping well myself. I am quite nervous."
The sound of a slam made the entire class jump. Groose stood, his massive hands slapping his desk once again. "Psht. As if eight hours of sleep are going to give you all some magical benefit against me. We all know I will be Zelda's chosen hero." Groose stood, pumping his bicep muscles in a slow and deliberate manner, as if someone were inflating a balloon beneath his flesh.
"Ok, enough!" But as the chatter of uncertain voices began to carry throughout the class, the bell sounded, and Professor Owlan's admonishment went unacknowledged.
As books began to slam shut and chairs slid across the polished wooden floors of the classroom, you began to gather your things. You were hoping to sneak in a quick nap before you went over to Eagus's dojo and did another round of grueling sword training.
"Y/N."
You turned to see Link staring at you.
"You really are pushing yourself too hard." His voice was feathery, like his dark blond hair. "You have bags beneath your eyes."
You dropped your bookbag, your hands flying to your hips. "Not all of us have favoritism on our side, Link!"
His expression shifted, and he looked down at his shoes, hurt plastered on his face.
"Well?" You kept goading him on. "Did I hit a nerve? Your Zelda's favorite; we all know who really is going to win, but at the very least, I want to lose knowing I tried my very best."
"You're amazing, Y/N. Your determination and persistence are unlike anyone here, including myself."
His unexpected compliment knocked you off your high horse. You allowed yourself a momentary glance at him, the sincerity in his eyes made your chest constrict. A feeling that would happen sometimes when your eyes would meet.
Something else that you found nauseating.
"I just want to be better than you." Your response offered him no other opening to continue the conversation.
He opened his lips, but Zelda came running over. "Link!" She laced her fingers into his. Come on, let's go practice with our Loftwing. There's a perfect breeze that will be beneficial for our practice today." Zelda turned and looked at you. A surreptitious glint was reflected in the way she looked at you, and you could translate it simply as jealousy. It couldn't even be hidden beneath her saccharine smile.
"Hello Y/N. You should get some practice, too. Perhaps you and Karane can take advantage of this phenomenal weather we are having."
There it was. You and Karane. Because Link was hers and would never be anyone else's.
Not that you cared.
Link was nothing more than a pretty face who could somewhat wield a sword.
She could have him.
But as she pulled him away, he gave you a lingering look, and your chest began to constrict in that familiar way you despised.
It was pretty nauseating.

✨Writeblr Interview✨
Thank you for tagging me @nczaversnick , @phynewrites , @mrbexwrites , and @foyle-writes-things ! Appreciate the heck out of y’all 💛✨
Short stories, novels, or poems?
Novels for sure, to read and to write! ✨
What genre do you prefer reading?
Same ones as I write—BL Romantasies, high fantasies, low fantasies, adult fiction, Slice of Life, Enemies to Lovers, Slow Burn, Hurt/Comfort, Angst/Fluff/Smut 💫✨
Are you a planner or a write as I go kind of person?
Little of column A, little of column B. I think a healthy balance between the two makes for some great planned (and unplanned) adventures! 💛✨
What music do you listen to while writing?
So funny thing….I don’t listen to music when I write. But, my favorite writing white noise is gameplay of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dead by Daylight, or Friday the 13th without commentary, played at a very low volume. Something about a revving chainsaw sparks my motivation to write (or maybe it’s fear? 🤔)
Favorite books/movies?
Anything Disney +mutuals’s stories ✨
Any current WIPs?
So far finishing up YWIMC before I move on to something big….👀✨I have a lot of stories on the back-burner and am focusing on one at a time 💛
If someone were to make a cartoon out of you what would your standard outfit be?
Very comfortable gray-knit turtleneck or hoodie, comfy pants, stylin’ shoes, and my bag of holding (numerous things. Backpack I carry around that has all my daily necessities ✨)
Create a character description of yourself:
Okay picture Link from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Got it? Okay. Make him gay. Give him some cartilage piercings. Maybe a few eye bags due to the insomnia. There you go. ✨
Oh also make him chaotic good. Because the world needs more kindness, and I will give the world more kindness. The world does not have a choice in the matter. 🌏💫✨
Do you like incorporating actual people you know into your writing?
Considering what I write? Absolutely not.
Are you kill happy with your characters?
Depends on the character and the narrative. I like happy endings, but sometimes a character must die. 🤷♂️
Coffee or Tea while writing?
While I write? Water. While I wake up? Coffee. While I get ready for bed? Tea.
Slow or fast writer?
Fast writer, slow motivator. Once I get on a groove I can usually go on 5-6 hour writing binges at a time. I just have to get there first with all of my projects….🫠✨
Where/who/what do you draw inspiration from?
Myself mainly, and my friends and mutuals secondly. I’ve been writing for myself since I started making fanfictions as a teenager, so I’ll never NOT make stories for myself. Gaining a supportive community on writeblr has given me an extra boost of motivation, because now I feel like I’m writing for myself AND for my friends and mutuals ✨
If you were in a fantasy world, what would you be?
The person that somehow finds themself in harrowing situations only to stumble my way out of the problem through sheer coincidence and bullshit. Or a bard. Probably a bard. Maybe both of these things 🤔✨
Most fav book cliche:
Two dumb idiots (/positive) go on an epic quest and learn about each other in the meanwhile. (See: The Emperor’s New Groove)
Least favorite cliche:
One-trick pony characters that lack depth, or exist just to check off a box.
Favorite scene to write?
Anything involving the two main protags.
Reason for writing?
My own personal enjoyment, and to share my crazy mind with the world for entertainment and create joy and inspiration to a community of genius minds (You. I’m talking about you. Yeah, YOU. Keep writing, keep inspiring, and keep on keeping on) 💖✨
Thank you again! Harp Lesson (+18)
MINORS DNI
Summary: You had enough of your instrument, and you wanted to try out his. How could you have said no when he offered?
AKA Link teaches you "techniques".
Pedal Harpist!Link x Fem!Reader (Sky x Reader)
Read the collection in Ao3
A/N: This is tagged as both LU and Skyward Sword Link, as I imagine them to have the same personality.
This story was born after a long inspirational chat with @pinkalmondcake about imagining the Chain in different roles in an orchestra! (From a piano technician to a pedal harpist...), which for now we are calling the LU Music/Musician AU, but who knows :D Stay tuned for more content!
Also big thanks to @beyondtheglowingstars for having a first look at it and the feedback!
Also tagging you guys because after seeing your content I think you'd enjoy this (hopefully) @chainsofgoldandash @chain-link-smut Duet mentioned: Saint-Saëns, Fantaisie for Violin & Harp, Op. 124 — Camerata Pacifica
You were in the practice wing of the conservatory, trying to play the latest piece that was prepared for the upcoming concert that was planned. The sounds were just not coming out as clean anymore as you were trying to keep yourself focused.
Being the principal first violin, or the “concertmaster” as they called it, was absolutely making you feel the pressure. Not like the orchestra was that big, it was a chamber orchestra, a bit of an odd one perhaps due to its composition. You had both a harpist AND a concert pianist, for starters. And they all had the same name… Link.
Inner base of your left index finger started to hurt, did you start to hold the violin wrong all of a sudden? You sighed as you gave up and held your violin like a guitar, deciding to pizzicato the rest instead. It also counted as practice, right? As you plucked the strings according to the sheet of music in front of you, your mind wandered once again. Plucking… Each time you put your violin in that position and timidly pulled at the strings, you were reminded of him again. The quiet, kind boy with the full lips and calloused hands, sitting in front of the harp, carefully trailing his hands along the strings, like he was lost in a dream. You really wanted to try playing it some day.
Link… You of course found out later that he was as gremlin-like as one could get, despite his calm and quiet appearance. You would have never thought he was the one that brought the whole chandelier down at the Lumpy Pumpkin years ago, because he “totally had to get that thing up top”.
Well, neither of you were in Skyloft anymore, and not even on the surface you both were familiar with. And not even THAT long after he defeated Demise, he was ripped apart from all he knew, somehow trailing also you along. But that is a story for another time.
“(Y/N)?” you heard a soft voice calling for you, jolting you away from your preoccupations. It was him, right outside the door.
“Oh, hey,” you said absentmindedly.
"Hey," Link replied, with the warmest smile that always seemed to put you at ease.
You couldn't help but admire how he had a knack for making even the most awkward situations feel comfortable. The atmosphere in the practice room seemed to shift as he walked in, a warm and pleasant energy filling the space.
He glanced at your violin and chuckled softly. "Having a bit of trouble?"
You nodded, still lost in thought. Of course, at this point he knew when and why you would switch to constant pizzicato. "Yeah, it's just not coming out the way I want it to. I can't seem to concentrate,”
Link took a seat nearby, his sky-blue eyes focused on your instrument. "Maybe you need a break,“ he seemed hesitant to continue to his next sentence, but regardless, he spoke up. “How about that duet we talked about a while ago? It might help you relax perhaps."
You perked up at the idea. "Oh, right! Yes, of course… Uhm… “ Your left hand was feeling quite tired at this point, since you pressed on the initial joint way too much. Probably you messed up the technique between the sea of distractions you had. His presence was not helping.
He felt as if he said something wrong, from your reaction and suddenly his body language shifted to nervousness.
“Uh, it’s okay if you don’t feel like it right now,” he said, slowly starting to rise from the seat he took. A sudden panic took over you, that’s not what you meant!
“No, no! I want to!” you said, your voice was a bit of a higher pitch than you expected. “I just had enough of my instrument right now,” you raised the violin, holding it with two hands upside down, pretending as if you are about to crush it on the floor, making a chuckle escape from Link.
“But you know what, I've always wanted to try the harp a little, never had the chance," you said, but then bit your lip. You weren’t sure if he would let you touch it at all, since it was a gift from his precious Zelda. “But it’s okay if-”
A faint smile touched Link's lips as he interrupted you "Well, today's your lucky day. I can show you the basics if you'd like."
You felt a surge of excitement as you nodded eagerly. "I'd love that!"
He got up and led over to the harp in another practice room, its elegant strings shimmering in the soft light of the room. You joined him, your curiosity piqued as he explained the fundamentals, his hands gently guiding yours to pluck the strings, as he made you sit down in front of it. It was a beautiful pedal harp. He also pulled another stool near yours, though he would sometimes lift himself a bit up from it to show you the technique.
“There, I already set up the pedals for you.”
He showed you how to slightly tilt it towards your right shoulder and there was a moment awkward yet sweet, where you panicked and thought the harp was just going to crush you. Though for some reason, when you heard you don’t need to use your pinky (which was pretty much your enemy while playing the violin), you seemed to have forgotten about the 35 kg instrument that was leaning on you as you screamed “Praise Farore!”
He was used to you being goofy one moment and panicky the next. The hearty laugh he let out made your heart melt.
“You need to have straight shoulders and a straight back, okay?” he started instructing you.
“Like that?” Apparently you were still slouching a bit, letting the instrument actually almost crush you.
He cranked a little grin, seemingly innocent as he spoke. “Let me show you again…”
As you both leaned over the harp, you couldn't help but feel a growing closeness. The gentle touch of his fingers sometimes brushing on yours accidentally sent a pleasant shiver down your spine. It was as if the basic notes you were playing together was a reflection of the unspoken connection between you.
Link continued to guide you through the basics, his breath warm against your ear as he explained each step. The sensation of his presence, so close and comforting, made your heart race. You were entirely focused on the harp, the music, and Link. Just watching his fingers pluck on those strings, sliding between them as if it had been the most natural thing he had ever done in his life, producing divine tunes... It reminded you of your dream last night instead, the dream of the sounds that he coaxed out of you, as he played idly with the strings of your thong while he was on top of you, his tongue trailing your neck. A soft blush was creeping through your cheeks. You weren’t going to learn anything if this kept on.
“(Y/N)? You there? You gotta have your thumb up, okay?” you were once again jolted back to reality. You were glad he didn’t have a direct view of your face, but he must have still noticed how absentminded you looked. Shit, you didn’t want to be disrespectful, you were enjoying this. Though you couldn’t deny that your fingers were hurting…
“Y-yes, sorry, can you show me the last part again, please?”
Unintentionally, as he leaned in to show you a particular technique, his chest brushed against your back, and his arms wrapped around you, cradling yours as his hands rested on the strings. There was a little pause. Your breath was stuck on your throat.
“You have to sit a little bit more upright, like this,” he broke the silence which felt like an eternity. He was still so close to your ear. His right hand pressed gently on your lower back and his left hand was pressed in the opposite direction on your bust, as he gently guided you back into the correct posture. It was a motion which should have just fixed your slouch, yet his hand was lingering a little bit too long on the front.
“And relax your shoulders… It should only be your elbow that’s moving…”
You both froze for a moment, feeling the sudden closeness. His heart thudded against your back, mirroring the rhythm of yours.
"Sorry," he murmured, pulling back slightly. "I didn't mean to..."
Despite his innocent tone, you had a gut feeling that it was almost entirely deliberate.
You turned back to him, still close but within a respectable distance, and your gazes locked. You could see pink creeping up on his cheeks, if only slightly. You just wanted to make sure.
“It’s okay,” you softly spoke, your gaze lingering between his full lips and his cerulean eyes.
That was most likely the sentence he needed to hear.
He noticed that you bit your lip as your eyes darted between one spot and the other. It almost felt as if he was holding back a smirk, yet he was still careful and polite with his reactions. Noticing the stray hair threatening to dangle in front of your face, he gently tucked it away behind your ear. As his fingers grazed your cheek, you marveled at the sheer willpower it took to stifle a gasp.
Was he sitting a bit closer now? And what was that look?
Now to think of it, did he ever need to sit right behind you like this to teach the instrument anyway?
His hand was still on your cheek, lingering a bit longer than necessary.
Witnessing his gradually fading ability to conceal his response, you suddenly felt bold.
You scooted even closer, he was almost pulling his hand back, but you put your hand on it decisively, feeling the warmth of his hand over your cheek.
In the next moment, what parted was not the distance between, but your lips instead as the gap between you closed with a soft kiss.
As your lips met, even though it was a gentle, feather-light touch, you could feel his lust through it, the sensation tender yet hungry. You instinctively moved your hands towards the nape of his neck, as he still held your cheek.
But he stopped you, moved your hands away and held them on your lap, and grinning into the almost broken kiss the entire time. You were slightly taken aback.
He was still staring at your lips while you were trying to still process what just happened. You were wondering how he was able to even break the kiss like that, second guessing your decision. Screaming and panicking inside.
He cleared his throat and composed himself, looking all serious suddenly once more. You could also see he was all red, and you could swear his heart was beating almost as fast as yours. Your almost trembling lips made an “O” shape to almost say something.
“Shall we continue?” He interrupted you, with a professional tone. He didn’t even wait for your reply, he stood up and pulled the older stool away. Instead, he got another chair, and moved it adjacent to your stool.
Directly behind.
“Turn around?” He spoke in a tone that sent a warm feeling towards your center.
Oh Gods. So that’s what we are doing? Okay…
“Let’s continue from this part here, can you try strumming again as I showed you?”
“Alright…” you were finally able to get a word out. He sat down on the chair, and his body was in direct contact with yours. So warm… You weren’t sure whether or not it was your heartbeat or his that you were feeling. You gulped.
You tried to strum for dear life, but it didn’t even sound like you were able to get a proper sound out. His mouth was so near your ear as he was humming the basic rhythm you were supposed to practice in, his arms were now resting on your lap as he rounded them around your waist. How did you end up here? The nerves were going to be the end of you.
“Nuh-uh, not like that, just relax… okay?” he said as he snaked his fingers away and this time put them on each of your arms and gently caressed them as he kept speaking to your ear, making them come back to your lap.
“Relax your arms a little bit, I mean…”
He then guided your hands once again to the harp, his fingers brushing against the back of your hand on it.
“Like that?” you asked, looking for some feedback as your voice trembled a bit.
“Mm-hmm, keep playing” he whispered to the tip of your ear again, as he moved his hands back towards your waist, his fingers trailing down towards your thighs, making little circles on them as he went nearer and nearer towards your center.
Though your initial reaction was to freeze, his words and actions were also helping you at least to relax your posture, though he wasn’t letting you break the form either, pressing himself onto your back each time you dared to slouch.
“Like this?” You pressed back as you spoke like a whimper, feeling something growing, making contact with your bottom, feeling his, and perhaps your own heartbeat rising even more. A silent low groan escaped from his lips without him intending to, in which you had the honor of being the “first ear” audience.
You really wanted to rub your legs together, because an itch that can only be scratched a particular way was also growing. You couldn’t, lest you break form.
His hand slowly lifted the hem of your tunic dress a bit further, since it was already a bit up from the way you were sitting. Your legs were already spread to accommodate a proper position with the big pedal harp, after all.
You didn’t make a peep.
He put chin on your shoulder, right next to your head, as his hand snaked down under the dress a bit more, and he kept speaking with that low, almost growling tone.
“There is one more thing I want to show you, if that’s okay?” spoken so innocently like a whisper, with only a tinge of mischief in his tone.
“Y-yeah?” you barely got out.
He spoke so virtuously, indeed. Almost as if his hand wasn’t exactly on your underwear, making light circles over it with his feather-like touch that sent all your nerves screaming. Screaming for more contact, more pressure.
He could absolutely feel how swollen you were under the cotton-fabric as his fingers traced over it. And you could feel his breath also quickening, becoming more uneven yet more and more in sync with yours.
His lips were trailing your neck and his other hand found and grabbed one of your breasts, caressing it through your dress. Those full lips, oh Goddesses, they felt so good even on your neck as they moved from one sensitive spot to another.
Especially when he pressed you to himself, as he held you from one breast with his left hand, and grabbed you from your throbbing center with his right.
You were still holding back that moan, desperately trying to pluck on the strings, thinking this magical moment could end the moment you stopped.
Oh your fingers were going to totally blister later, you did have some calluses on your fingers, but there was no way you could have the ones that a harpist would have.
But as he trailed his calloused hand slowly up to your stomach and then back down, this time sliding his hand into your underwear and directly on the bundle of nerves that you desperately needed contact on… There was almost no more fight left in you. The harp was pressing on to his hand and his hand was pressing on your clit.
You let out a relieved sigh. The way his fingers callused, it felt even better than you expected.
But his hand wasn’t moving.
“Mmmm… Very good, keep going, pluck the G string, make sure your wrist is slightly bent in…” he urged you to still try to play the fucking harp with that sultry tone. Each time you tried to pluck the harp, you were feeling even the subtlest vibration from the big instrument.
Your heart was in your ears, all your blood was rushing south, you were instinctively trying to move from where you are sitting, just to get more pressure, more movement. He was merciful for a moment, his middle and ring finger did a couple of circling motions exactly where and how you needed it. That was it, you did let out that moan. You could hear him lightly chuckling.
He continued his instructions however. “Now, spread your legs a little bit more… for me?” There was a tiny bit of hesitation on the last part, as if he wanted to make sure once again that it’s alright to continue. How could you deny his request, when he had you right where you wanted him to? You could of course only oblige. His soft yet almost demanding voice left you hypnotized.
As you spread your legs a little bit more, he pulled the chair a bit more back, along with you, and created a bit of a distance between you two and the harp. You could feel his dick pressing on you even more with each movement. You were surprised at his self constraint. From your point of view, he should have just taken you.
“Link…” you spoke his name almost as if you were begging. The way you said his name definitely had an effect on him. But he shushed you. Though you could hear him gulp. Gods… How did he end up with his hand on your wet sex?
“Sssh, we are here for a lesson, aren’t we?” he whispered to your ear again. He took his hand from inside your underwear and brought his middle finger near your mouth.
“Lick it.” he said firmly this time, with no hesitation. He was focused on his goal. You took his finger between your lips as if it was some other body part of him, and you made sure to make him understand that with the way you licked the tip and sucked the whole finger in, you gave him the full show, as much as you could.
“Very good,” he almost hissed to your ear, nibbling on your earlobe just a little bit. His now wet finger went back down to where it was, this time back of his hand raising your underwear like a tent.
“Now… Here is another technique…” he said with a dark tone. His middle finger slid down, feeling almost proud after noticing how wet you are, and dipped it inside you just briefly, and brushed it up and down all over your sex, especially focusing on your clit. You gasped. With his index and ring fingers, he pulled the skin over your clit only a tiny bit up, keeping the hood intact. As his fingers were holding your clit in a place he wanted, he plucked on the tip of your slippery clitoral hood with his middle finger, slick with your juices.
“Ah…” was the only sound you could get out. As you pressed and pushed yourself to him after each of his plucks, his other hand on your breast would sometimes pinch your nipple. His kisses on your neck would get momentarily rougher. He would gently bite your ear lobes. He would make sure to dip his finger into you (sometimes two or three), to make sure everything stayed perfectly wet. As moments passed, the plucks became teasing presses, and then finally became proper rubs.
“You are doing so well for me…” he would whisper sometimes, as your breath hitched, chasing your high, trying to adjust yourself on his fingers.
You just drank the essence of his tone in, because at that point the only thing you knew was that he was determined to make you cream his fingers. He couldn’t know what you exactly liked, but he was sure able to ask for it in the perfect way.
“You like it here…” he would ask, moving his middle and index finger to spot, “...or there?” he would ask again, moving them into a bit more direct contact instead. As your orgasm built up, the way you wanted him to touch you also changed.
Once he made you jump because he touched it too directly. “Oops…” he said as he peppered your neck with kisses, as if each one said “sorry”. He kept massaging that one breast again, and you helped him move his hand into a position you liked before.
Your panties were already gone at that point.
“More…ah… pressure…” you moaned between your pants.
He could only do as you said.
Oh his touch was magic.
But the fact that he listened and obliged turned you on as much as the way he was able to pluck his way through your center.
Your legs were shuddering and shaking as he kept rubbing your clit exactly as you wanted, sometimes his fingers dipping in and out between your slick folds.
“Yes, Oh Gods, Link…” you were so close, SO close.
“Mmm-hm…” you could hear he was also getting impatient. His breath was still on your neck, his other hand was under your tunic just kneading your breast roughly as he liked, he started whispering things to your ears that you would have never thought could come from that innocent looking Link.
“Let go for me (Y/N)... Come for me.” he would keep whispering in repeat as you were on the last leg to your climax.
“Show me how you come… Come on you beautiful thing…” It felt like he would say anything to coax you into your release. Then you’ll be all ready for me.. He also thought but didn’t say out loud yet.
The tight feeling that had been building in your stomach, the one that made your legs and body tremble, was finally about to reach its crescendo.
You were whimpering his name between the continuous mumbles and mewls of “Please” and “Keep going”.
With the last flick of his finger on your clit, he pinched a nipple with the other and sucked on your earlobe with his plump and gorgeous lips, while trying to hold you back from falling down. You reached your limit.
“Good girl…” he purred into your ear.
It all crashed as the sweet sweet embrace of the overstimulation and orgasm washed over you as your insides contracted, you felt like an arrow getting released from a tight strung bow. You saw white.
As he noticed your sensitivity, Link pulled his hand away from there. You turned and straddled him, as you were still panting from your post orgasm bliss, and pulled him into a deep, open mouthed kiss. Not letting him speak.
Determined the devour the soft plump lips you always adored,
But Link? He wasn’t done yet.

Take Your Sick Day
Another Commission!
Masterlist
They asked for Dragon Link, specially Skyward Sword Link and for me to make it sooo fuffy that they would be laid comatose. I’m not entirely if I did that but I got permission to share it :D
Content under the cut!
“You’re warm.” A black scaled reptilian tail lashed back and forth like an agitated cat. Cool hands place themselves by your neck and on your forehead. “You’re sick.”
“I’m fine.” You cough, covering your mouth with your sleeve.
The half formed dragon sends you a deadpan stare. “Uh-huh. And let me guess you’re also planning on going out to finish the job you started yesterday, right?”
You glare, daring him to say anything about your plans for today.
“Cancel them.”
“No.”
“You’re sick.” The half dragon in front of you stresses. “Jayrie is old enough as it is, what if she catches it?”
You pause. Jayrie was the kind elderly woman who gave you a job when you had no other means of income. The work was simple but long. However, someone had to do it and you were happy to fill in the position when asked. Like everyone else in the settlement, Jayrie was a dragon but she was considered old even by their standards. You never did ask how old she truly was. But if you had to guess, she was centuries old.
The boy in front of you was older too. Granted, he may have looked closer to your age but he himself admitted to be nearly two hundred years old already. You’re not sure how that aging works out as it does. But Hyrule’s magic was hard to pin down as it is. You won’t question it.
“Dragons don’t get as sick as we do.” You inform him with a meek voice. Do they? It was an argument you were willing to make, but not one that you thought you could defend very well.
The young man sends you a blank look.
You begin to fluster, gathering that your argument lacked a foundation. “Look… Link… It’s not even that bad.”
“Uh-huh.” He repeats his earlier disinterest. “Explain to me then why you look like you’re about to keel over and pass out.”
You huff. “I’m fine.”
He’s not convinced. “At least eat something.” He says, eyeing you up and down. “It won’t do you any good to get out there without any strength left in you.”
You have the suspicion that he has something else planned but you can’t figure out what it is. On top of that, you don’t feel really hungry. If anything, the thought of eating makes you queasy. However… if that’s his only condition to let you go, you can’t really deny it. “Sure. I’ll eat something.”
You already feel worse.
Link nods, smiling softly. “Good. Give me a second to whip something up then you can head out.”
You grin back tensely. “Thanks.”
“Anything.” He leans forward, kissing your forehead quickly before he dips into the kitchen. You can feel that he laced that kiss with some of his magic. It was cooling and sweet. You can feel it flush through your system, even if it doesn’t hold. There was a healing spell there. It’s a shame that it never sticks.
You gulp and notice that your throat does feel stretchier than usual. But you’ve so close to finishing up that order for the week. It can’t afford to be put off for another day. And if anything, you’ve never been one to leave things half done. You were sure you would be able to get it done today. Then maybe tomorrow you can take the day off to recover. It’s just a little discomfort for a long term pay out, right?
Man, you were getting colder. And your back was sore. Maybe you should go lay down for a little bit. Then Link can come in with breakfast, you can swallow it down and go to work.
“That sounds nice.” You say to yourself. Your head hit the pillow and it was just cold enough that it eased the pressure building in your head. You were still getting colder. You can feel yourself begin to shake from the chills. Maybe you can get under the blankets. Just for a little bit. Five minutes, max.
Link was busy cooking up something simple for you. You looked miserable, if he was being honest. From your blood shot eyes, to the clear way your nose was beginning to run and you were flushed with fever. He had seen his own people get sick before, but it was hardly ever to that extent. Maybe your kind was different?
For one thing, you were right. Dragons don’t get sick as often but this is the fifth time it’s happened since you’ve landed in their little settlement on the surface. Maybe it had to do with the fact that you were empty. Not a hint of magic within you, whatsoever. It was concerning when you first showed up but it never seemed to be a hindrance. Link had taken a liking to you instantly. Even if you were ignoring his advances, he wanted to try to court you.
He pulled out all the stops, doing everything he knew would be the right thing to do. He just hoped it would be enough to impress you and choose him back.
Only for it to come to light that you had no idea was trying to court you to begin with. Not only were you not a dragon and lacked magic, but your senses were still just a shot in the dark compared to what he could perceive. It was as if you were a different creature entirely.
But that didn’t change how much he wanted to make you his.
It ended up being near impossible, given that magic always seemed to flow out of you. Nothing could stick no matter what they tried. He couldn’t add his mark to you. You were blocked off of any magic in general. Which was concerning when you were injured. You couldn't take any healing spells or health potions and there were little other methods they had to deal with problems like those. Still, Link never considered himself one to shy away from a challenge. Which led to where you are today, with him in his house on the surface, helping to keep the settlement stable in the little ways you could help.
He could hear you get back into the bed as the eggs sizzled and popped by the stove. Link allowed his heart to relax a bit. Good, he sighed. You should be resting. He had the sinking suspicion that you got sick by overworking yourself again. Not to mention that winter was around the corner and the temperature was dropping.
He shakes his head and plates the food, hoping you’d have it in you to eat something anyway. “What am I going to do with you?”
Link creeps through the house and peaks through the door to the bedroom. While he holds the plate of eggs and toast in one hand, he holds the door just a crack open with the other. A breath of relief flows out of him. You’ve fallen asleep.
“Why must you push yourself so hard, Beloved?” He whispers, entering the room and putting the plate on the bedside table.
The back of his hand brushes against your temple and forehead once more. A frown places itself firmly on his features. “You’re warmer than you usually are.”
Link sits on the edge of the bed, gently brushing the side of your face as you sleep. In retrospect, this isn’t anything new. You’ve both gone through this before. You’ve both learned and grown and adapted to the circumstances. Link knows what he has to do to help you fight the war within you.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t wish this would be easier to handle.
He tucks you into the bed, making sure the blankets are wrapped snugly around you before he gets up again. There’s a pause where he considers taking the plate back with him. It’s not like you’re going to eat it anytime soon. But perhaps you wake up in the time it takes him to make his rounds. Link still wants you to have something in your stomach, even if it’ll be the only thing you eat today.
Link walks around his house, making sure everything is in place and within easy reach.
He goes to tell Jayrie that you’re sick and won’t be making it to your shift today, and potentially not tomorrow either. The elderly woman is ever understanding, having gotten to know your nature quite well after working with you for as long as she has.
“Take care of them, young man.” She shakes her head softly. “Let them know to only come back when they’re feeling one hundred percent back to their normal self.”
Link tips his head in gratitude, a soft smile overtaking his face. “Yes, ma’am. I plan to do just that. I just have to let the others know that I won’t be able to come in again-”
“Oh nevermind them.” Jayrie waves him off. “I can tell those old fuddy duddies that your mate needs you for the time being. Go back home now, you hear? We both know that if you’re not there to stop them, they’ll just keep working until their body forces them to stop.”
“They’re asleep right now.” Link admits with a shy smile. “I think that might have already happened.”
“All the more reason to make sure they don’t push themselves any further.” Jayrie begins to push him out of her shop and back onto the main trail. “Go on now, go!”
“Thank you.” Link tips his head in gratitude and rushes back home to you, leaving a blustering wind in his wake.
When he gets back into the house, he checks on you first. You’re still asleep and the eggs are still untouched. A sigh tumbles out of him once more. Link supposes that this is better than you trying to work more while you’re ill. Then again, it’s a testament to how sick you truly are.
With his own plans canceled for the day, Link has to find ways to keep himself busy while he waits until you need something from him. Granted, there’s very little to do around the house. It’s on the smaller side and he hasn’t needed to expand much even when you joined him under the same roof. He can clean but that proves to be only a small chore when the two of you don’t leave a lot of clutter around the counter spaces anyway.
Suddenly, he hears you groan a bit. Intrigued by your sudden movement, Link makes his way through the house and pokes his head through the doorway. “Are you awake now, Beloved?”
You groan again and blink your eyes open. Blearily, you looked around you and slowly burrow deeper into the blankets. “It’s so bright.”
“It’s the middle of the day.” Link smiles, walking in to close the curtains. “”There. Better?”
“Mhm.” You hum and lift your head up a bit. You cough. It sounds rough and wet. “What time is it?”
Link flinches. Your voice sounds rough as well. “Closer to noon. Maybe past that. I haven’t been looking at the clock.”
You frown and Link knows it’s because you’re upset that you missed out on your shift. Then your eyes land on him again. “Didn’t you have to help Groose and Zelda with the new farmland today?”
“I got it covered.” Link waves you off, not wanting to go into too many details. “You need me. You are my priority.”
“You say that every time.”
“And I mean it every time.” Link smiles and sits on the edge of the bed again. His hand comes up once more to feel your forehead and cheeks. “Still warm. How are you feeling?”
“I feel horrible… and gross.” You whine.
Link frowns. “I believe you.”
You lift your arms up for a hug. You look so small and miserable, it melts Link’s heart. With a small huff, Link climbs into the bed next to you, shifting into his half dragon form and wraps himself around you.
Link feels you hum and relax in satisfaction. A proud smile covers his face as he rests his head on top of yours. He tucks you under his chin, holding you close to his chest as he begins to purr. With his arms and tail wrapped around you, and his legs intertwined with yours, he feels a sense of peace wash over him.
This is perfect, as it should be. You are right next to him and within his arms. The dragon in him couldn’t be happier. He’ll look after you. You are his mate. There’s no other person he could think of to fill this spot. It belongs to you and you alone.
”Link…” Your voice cuts through the simple quiet that descended after he snuggled up to you. “I still feel gross.”
Link snorts. “I have a feeling you'll feel gross for a while.”
“...I’m sick.” You pout.
“Yeah. I know.” Link pets your hair. “We should get you cleaned up at least.”
You tilt your head up to look up at him, not fully understanding what he means by that.
With a dimmed mischievous smile, Link turns and picks you up, easily holding you in his arms. You’re too tired to react to it. Instead, you rest your head on his shoulder and hold onto his shoulder loosely.
Link walks through the house once more, heading to the back where he’s made a corner for your privacy. He sets you down on a wooden chair and points to the pool he intends to fill up. “Bath time.”
You make a face but comply, ridding yourself of the clothes that have been sitting in your sickness. Link calls to the clouds to form above the ditch, letting it rain and fill with the water. To the side, he tosses wood and cranks a fan. Quickly, zapping the wood with lightning, he creates a fire and watches in satisfaction as the rain water begins to warm up.
He doesn’t have to keep the crank in motion for the job to be completed, so he let’s it run its course, turning instead to pick out the soaps he intends to use.
When he fishes out the soap, he sees you lowering yourself already into the water, sinking into it slowly. “How’s the water?”
“Not warm enough.” You mumbles, cupping the water up to rinse your shoulders.
Link places the soaps by your side and goes back to the fire, using the fan to grow the flame. With time, you let him know that it’s just where you want it and he returns to your side.
“You don’t have to do this.” You say as he kneels. “I can do this myself.”
“You can.” He agrees. “But you wouldn’t. Let me be good to you. You’re not feeling well anyway.”
You pout and growl the best you can, but the sickness doesn’t allow you to properly be intimidating.
Link rolls up his sleeves and takes one of the bars of soap, dipping it into the water and bringing it back up to run it over your body. With one hand lathering the soap, the other makes quick work of kneading into your muscles, working out the soreness and knots that tend to gather when you fall ill.
A groan leaves you before you can stop it. You’re inclined to lower yourself into the water and tilt your head back. You open your eyes and look up at him. “Thank you.”
Link smiles as you appear to already look better. He doesn’t fully understand how the steam helps you but he’s not going to ask questions. He kisses the tip of your nose. “Always and forever, Beloved. Do you want me to wash your hair?”
“You’re going to make me fall asleep again.” You admit, but you don’t say no.
“Good.” Link laughs. “Anything to get you to slow down for once.”
“I’m not that bad!”
“And yet here we are.” Link flicks the back of your head gently, grabbing a different soap and lathers it in between his hands. His fingers dive into your hair and begin to massage your scalp.
Calling over a rain cloud, he lets it rinse out the soap as he goes. It’s not as warm as the water around you, but it proves to be a calming sensation to your still peaked fever. You sink further into the pit.
Link is more or less forced to follow you lower but he has to pull himself back up. He chuckles at your reactions and steps back to strip.
You whine again. “Liinnkkk…Where’d you go?”
“Right behind you, hold on.” Link laughs, placing his clothes neatly onto the table. He lowers himself onto the water as well, wondering if perhaps the water could be a bit warmer for the both of you.
He sees you smile when you see him sit in the bath. That look on your face makes this whole thing worth it, in Link’s eyes. That little pleased smile pushes you forward and you wrap yourself around Link once more.
Link gladly takes you into his arms again and goes back to running his hands through your hair, massaging every inch he can reach. The rain cloud follows and rinses the soap off of your body. With a kiss to the top of your head, Link leans back against the wall of the ditch, pushing the stronger rain clouds away before it can overflow. “I love you, Beloved.”
“I love you too.” You sigh, letting yourself be held against his chest. You’re content and already feeling better. It’s just one thing that scratches the back of your mind. “I didn’t have the breakfast you made me.”
“I know.” He says quietly. “I’ll make more.”
“Would you?”
“Yes.” He nuzzles the side of your head. “But rest up first. We’re not going anywhere any time soon.”
You hum and nod, resting against him at last.
“Sleep well.”

Thinking about the sense of urgency I'm skyward sword that many other games just don't have... Like with a regular day/night cycle the world keeps spinning, the kingdom is in danger yeah but time moves on. Zelda gets kidnapped and time basically stops. Link only needs a night-day cycle to complete the side quests and he's pushed on and on and on with little natural break in between quests. It can be done in a matter of like 48 in game hours at most. Impa's "you were late" scene just doesn't come up in any other game..how many times are you told you still failed after you defeat the boss? Fi keeps pushing him, telling him where he needs to go, that he needs to move on. In BOTW, Link is already 100 years late, what's one day more? The people telling him to hurry up begins to become nagging. In Skyward Sword, the doubt that he's the hero, the pressure of the Imprisoned breaking free (and unlike Calamity Ganon the Imprisoned does—no other game has the final boss as a character entity released so early, where losing is directly destroying the world. For a game so focused on trying to get you to save the world and get back to Zelda, BOTW just doesn't have the same urgency). And maybe it's partly how the majority of the side quests are in the sky, where days can pass without really feeling like they're part of the game. Maybe it's Link's close relationship to Zelda, how he gets so close and yet never quite reaches her, how everyone is chasing and running from each other and slipping through their fingers. Idk. I'm procrastinating a paper

What do you think about the Crystal scene in Skyward Sword? Do you think it’s as sad as fans make it out to be. Personally I never got to worked up about it. I mean it’s sad to see Zelda sealed herself in a crystal but it’s not like she’s in there forever. Only until Link kills Demise. Plus she’s sleeping in there so it’s not like she’s aware of the passage of time (unlike in TotK!Zelda’s case which I think is more sadder)
I mean, technically TotK Zelda was asleep too, she lost her sense of humanity and self and clearly doesn’t remember it when she’s turned back. 🤷🏻♀️
I will say Tears Zelda’s situation is sadder because it’s initially played off as her sacrificing her life with no way back. But I think the effect on the boys is different. In TotK I feel like it would be more of a sacrifice and loss, something for Link to grieve and be fueled by anger at Ganondorf about. For Skyward Sword, it’s more pressure on Link - this isn’t just “Zelda sacrificed herself to save everyone and help Link” and that’s it, this is all that plus the fact that she can only come back if Link succeeds. Obviously the pressure was already high and failure already wasn’t an option, but there’s a difference between “the world depends on you to do this” and “your beloved will be trapped forever if you screw this up.”
You know, like Tears Link is fighting for all the normal reasons and in honor of Zelda, while Sky Link is fighting for all the normal reasons but especially to save Zelda.
Of course, this isn’t including the fact that the two scenes where Zelda is “sealed away,” have very different lead up. Tears Zelda decided to sacrifice herself to fix the Master Sword. Sky Zelda just dumped an entire lore drop on Link, completely changing the tone of who she is, before leaving him. Both scenes are powerful, but the crystal scene is very different from the draconficiation scene. Especially since one is Link actively partaking and the other is Link passively watching (which is a running theme between these two Links and their storytelling scenes).
As for my personal reaction to them… I feel like I was more emotionally invested in the crystal scene. Mainly because Link’s actually there with her, his reaction is what hurts lol. But also because I knew Tears Zelda was gonna swallow that secret stone, the story basically screamed it from early on. It was still a very powerful scene, I went in like “ah she’s gonna swallow it now” to :O :O :O at the end. I love it. That game goes hard. But crystal scene still wins in terms of tugging my heart strings.

Is there people actually upset at Zelda for going back in time in tears of the kingdom and supposedly meddling with time? Because she didn't exactly get a choice in that decision, you should take that up with the magic fruit gummy rock. And i don't think that's meddling with time and you should look up the meaning of a stable time loop
That egg in age of Calamity was meddling with time more
Also why are you getting upset at time travel in the time travel series. Does Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask mean nothing? You're only upset at Totk/botw Zelda doing it instead of oot/mm Link because because she's a girl with actual character development and actually shows emotion when she's upset
Some of you people can't handle a girl upset at her emotionally abusive father. And people lash out at others when living a traumatic life, she didn't hate link in the beginning, she was a traumatized person who felt she got assigned a glorified babysitter by her jack ass father. And they eventually bond over the shared pressure and huge destinies in their lives! They become the most important people in their lives even if it started off rocky. Botw/totk zelink is my favorite version because it has the most development canonically and it really makes use of the two characters stuck in a doomed narrative together and are soul mates trope/s
You cannot separate these two, they are a bonded pair. They don't even necessarily NEED to be romantic, they just need to be together. My favorite Zelink since Skyward Sword and Windwaker/Phantom hour glass
Botw/totk Zelda has to be one of my favorite Zelda's just because she's so relatable. I have/had jack ass parents. The pressure of life can be all consuming. It feels like whatever deity that may exist isn't listening. She's right next to Tetra at number one, they are shaking hands.

A Change in Jobs
Link x Reader
(This is a concept for a new story I want to write? Idk)
“A Fathers Love” the prequel to this :)
Skyward Sword!
“Are you sure you’ll be okay helping me? I don’t want to put you in danger.” Link’s voice was weak as (Y/n) carried him. His arm was wrapped around their shoulder, their other arm holding him upright as they walked. Faron Woods had very few places for them to hide from the wrath of Ghirahim. Blood dripped down his side, and his face was messed up too. He was limping, one of Ghirahim’s daggers sticking out of his leg. (Y/n) dragged him to the Sealed Temple and set him down. “Even if I do get in trouble…” They said, propping him up. “I owe you the favor. You saved me. Besides, I’m more familiar with being in danger. I can handle it.” (Y/n)’s hand wrapped around the dagger in Link’s leg. They pulled, a cry escaping his mouth. (Y/n)‘s hand immediately pressed into the wound, applying pressure. Link hissed, his own hand coming to press the wound as well. “Good, keep your hand there.” (Y/n) said and tore off a strip of their shirt. They wrapped it around Link, keeping it tight but loose enough for circulation. Link released his leg and felt the ache begin to soothe. (Y/n) continued their work on patching Link up.
For a moment he didn’t see Ghirahim’s underling. He didn’t see the person who’d been tormenting him alongside the demon king. He saw the young adult who looked at scared as he was. The painted diamonds on their face to impress their demon lord. They worked hard to patch Link up, and even got him out of the fight. “Father! Stop!” Their voice had rang clear through the room, and Ghirahim was towering over Link. He did stop. His eyes flickered, and for a moment the red within them vanished. A soft blue hue hiding behind those eyes. (Y/n) had grabbed Link and dragged him out of the room as Ghirahim stared.
For months (Y/n) had been threatening to kill him all the same. Laughing at his pain, cheering on Ghirahim. (Y/n) pulled up Link’s shirt to reveal another wound. They began to apply a makeshift bandage as well. Link had watched as Ghirahim threw them in the way of a monster. One of his own monsters. (Y/n) had begged and pleaded for Ghirahim to save them, but he vanished. Leaving (Y/n) to die. Link had recognized this and saved (Y/n). Their face reflected the confusion and horror they were facing, but seemed grateful. They left to find Ghirahim as well. Link noticed they seemed more distant to the demon lord and well… now it made sense. (Y/n) was trying to repay him in some way.
(Y/n) looked up and sighed, pressing a hand to Link’s face. “Not much I can do about that. I’m sorry.” They said, sitting back. “It’s alright. I feel a lot better. Thank you.” Link said, pushing himself to stand. (Y/n) watched and stood as well, awkwardly looking into Faron Woods. “I should leave now.” Link said, shuffling to the door of the Sealed Temple. (Y/n) nodded and watched him carefully. Link realized something. “Aren’t you going back to Ghirahim?” (Y/n) bit their lip and turned back to the woods. “Maybe. I don’t know.” They said quietly. “To tell you the truth… I’m worried. He’s not the same man I grew up with. I’m concerned he’ll hurt me if I go back after what I’ve done.”
Link was confused. “Not the same man?” (Y/n) nodded. “He used to be a lot more kind. When the ground started shaking his skin and hair changed. He changed. From my father Ghirahim to… a Demon Lord. He’s never touched me before, but I know helping you survive will royally piss him off. I don’t think he’ll hold back. I don’t know where I’m supposed to go.” Link could feel the hope of escape radiating off of them. They were nervous about seeing Ghirahim again. “Would you like to come with me?” He offered. “There’s a safe place for you in Skyloft, and if you’d like to continue searching for my friend with me I know you’re skilled. And you have inside information about how Ghirahim and his army works. You can finally be yourself.”
(Y/n)’s harsh demeanor seemed to crack. Link saw a child underneath the walls they had built up. Their eyes widened and their shoulders relaxed. Their once stiff and tall stature shrunk in on itself. “I don’t know how I can repay you. I’ve been terrible the entire time, and you’ve been nothing but kind.” They said quietly. “Think of it as… a change in pace. A change in employment. Work for good instead of evil.” Link held out his hand. They took it and looked into his eyes. A smile crossed their face, lighting up their entire body. Link felt a blush creep on his face, a feeling within him wanted to see this smile more. “Alright, yeah. That makes sense. I’ll help.”

What’s the evidence for SS/BOTW/TOTK/ST Zelink being the most canon? I firmly believe in all of them myself but I like hearing other’s takes on this topic so I’m just curious
Ooh, yeah, I'll get into this.
Skyward Sword: This is such a slam dunk. It's as explicit in the text as it can be without Zelda saying "Link, you are my boyfriend, I love you." Groose is jealous of Link for his closeness to Zelda. Throughout the series, Link has gone through hell and back to save the people he cares about, not necessarily love interests (his sister in Wind Waker, the Ordon kids in Twilight Princess, etc). However, consider what Zelda says to Link when they talk in the Sealed Temple:
"I knew that if it meant saving Zelda, you would throw yourself headfirst into any danger, without even a moment's doubt."
She groomed him to be the chosen hero by baiting him with the person he loved most. Then, later:
"While it's true that I am Hylia reborn, I'm still my father's daughter and your friend... I'm still your Zelda"
She does say "friend," but this is the fledgling start of their romance. After the wing ceremony and Link and Zelda are flying together, she was a hair's breadth from admitting her true feelings for him. That's right there in the text. And come on, tell me "I'm still your Zelda" isn't loaded with deeper-than-friendship meaning. This is the kind of language that is absent in most Zelda games.
BotW/TotK: This is the next biggest slam dunk. Zelda could not for the life of her awaken her divine powers through prayer and practice. What finally activated them was a moment of desperation to save the person she loved: Link. Further, her journal details how close the two are personally. Closeness does not necessarily mean romance, but it is conducive to it. Link is comfortable enough are her to actually speak, which was originally nearly impossible from the trauma caused by the pressure to be her appointed knight and the Hylian Champion. Let's also not forget the look she gave him after he saved her from the Yiga assassins.
Now, that's all just in BotW. TotK easily cements it. Link and Zelda live together. They're in their early 20s living in the same house, a house with only one bed. Come on. That's solid proof right there that at the very least, SOMETHING is going on.
Spirit Tracks: This is less solid than the other two but still more explicit than the other 18 games in the series. The very first time Link lays eyes on Zelda, he blushes and audibly gasps. He is straight up taken aback by how attractive she is. He also blushes later when she hugs him. Oh yeah, the hug. The first thing she does once she has her body back is hug him. Then at the very end, as they watch the Lokomo depart from Hyrule and ascend to another realm, they hold hands. The devs specifically modeled hands for Zelda so they could hold hands. Come on. Confirmed.
If anything, I feel more strongly that other Zelinks aren't likely. Note that these are predicated on the idea that Link going to great lengths to save her is not necessarily indicative of romantic feelings. Skyward Sword is different because Hylia targeted Link for it. Anyway:
The Legend of Zelda: Zero chemistry. They only meet at the end.
The Adventure of Link: Zero chemistry. They only meet at the end.
A Link to the Past/Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages: Barely any interaction, no indication they're more than acquaintances or, at best, friends.
Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask: Okay, this is maybe the strongest case here. Link does spend a fair deal of time with Zelda/Sheik. In Link's later interactions with the Sheik persona, he actually tries to chase after her. Is this because he simply wants a friend? Or has he developed feelings for this mysterious young man? Man, OoT is startlingly sparse on textual evidence for Link's feelings. The writers get closer to establishing something in MM, what with Link and Zelda spending several months together following his return to his home era.
But I headcanon it a specific way, largely because of a particular video essay. In this interpretation, Link is desperate for companionship from someone who truly understands who he is and what he's been through. That's why he goes to such lengths to find Navi. She was his sister in arms and the only one who witnessed his heroism. Zelda was the closest thing to someone who understood, but not quite there. So, less than likely.
Also, they're 10. I was interested in romance when I was 10, but I still consider my first serious relationship, at 19, as the beginning of my true understanding of romantic love. I don't attribute much value to the *very* young love 10 years may have for each other, no matter how traumatized and mature for his age one of them is. That actually raises another question. Is Link mentally 17 by the time he slays Ganon? Or was he mentally a child the whole time? Because the 17/10 thing actually does make a difference here. Um. Moving on.
Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass: There is also something to be said here in that Link and Tetra actually do have chemistry. She's seems to be a bit older than him, just enough that she initially looks down on him as a stupid kid. Then again, at 14 and even to an extent 13, I did see most 12 year olds as being much less mature than me. Then again then again, I was a very pretentious preteen. Okay, so maybe Tetra is initially just as pretentious in that sense. Anyway, she does view him as an equal by the end and fights alongside him like a badass. Hm. Right so there's some stuff here. Like how Link goes to such lengths especially in Phantom Hourglass to save her. At that point they aren't playing parts in a legendary conflict, he's just trying to save her. But once again, that doesn't really mean romantic love.
Four Swords: No chemistry seen, barely any interaction. That's a nah from me.
Four Swords Adventures: There's a TINY bit more here, because Link and Zelda are childhood friends. Still not much here. The Minish Cap: Barely more than FSA. Childhood friends, more interaction, but still not much chemistry.
Twilight Princess: Okay this might be my hottest take here. Not only do I not think it is evidenced by the canon text, I actually don't like this one. Even ignoring that Link has infinitely better love interests in Ilia and Midna, he has no chemistry with her at all. They barely interact. On top of that, and this is the biggest thing for me, she is 20. He is 16/17. A three year age gap at that point is uncomfortably large. I've dated people three years younger than me, but we were both adults. It's just a little icky.
A Link Between Worlds: I feel like a broken record. Barely any onscreen interaction, no chemistry. Just ain't there.
Echoes of Wisdom: Not to get too into spoilers here, but I agree with that post going around that Zelda probably has a big crush on Link. But that's just a headcanon and not really evidenced by the text.
All of this said, I don't think you're wrong or bad or anything for liking more Zelinks than I do. These are just my opinions and frankly I'm too old to be engaging in shipping wars. Then again, hey, you asked for my opinions. Oh yeah, and sorry for taking so long to respond. Whoops.

What are your thoughts about Ganondorf and his relationship with his people (OoT timelines)? I personally think he started out with the intent to bring them a better home in Hyrule or at least stop Hyrule's constant attacks on them due to the gerudos refusing to give up their sovereignity by joining them like all the other races were forced to do during the height of the wars. (The racism against them in the game is pretty extreme so I think they were at war and taking shots at each other since the beginning of said wars, which I believe were 100 years long? Probably longer due to the thing I'm mentioning). So that was why he first went after the Triforce, hoping it'd grant him the wish to take Hyrule and end all his people's suffering. Instead he was left with just Power and had to make do while trying to get Wisdom and Courage. Then went totally batshit along the way due to all the pressure of having to defend himself, his people, and deal with all that new power for 7 years. Also sorry for this block of text.
I'm not gonna draw this one because I need to warn you in advance that I was working on an OoT Gan backstory comic for like ten years prior to even Skyward Sword's release, so my view on this is skewed HEAVILY toward OoT and I haven't done a ton of work headcanoning re: TotK's information, but, generally, YEAH. So, the way I wrote Ganondorf is not totally unlike TotK, the biggest difference is that obviously in TotK Ganondorf is not only alive during the civil war but an active leader during said war. In OoT I headcanoned him much younger, and that he was born into an immediately post-war Gerudo Valley that was torn up and freshly having lost a civil war, in which Twinrova was leading a diplomatic olive branch effort toward Hyrule to maintain peace (and of course set up a chess game for the new Gerudo king). So my headcanon is that he was raised very strictly by Twinrova (god I'm so sad Smackjeeves went down, I had comic pages from back in the day up that display it haha), and was initially very isolated from his people, and for a long time knew more about Hylian culture than his own (which is part of why his costuming is so different than anything else we see in Gerudo Valley and is more Hylian in terms of armor and patterning overall, save for the few pieces of Gerudo patterning, which reflect Twinrova more than anything). So as he gets older and gets more involved with his people and has to keep coming back to this desert after experiencing the climates in the fields and town and really being able to change Nothing, he gets frustrated with the realization that he's essentially a king in decoration only, despite being a "Divine" king in birth, and that's where his bitterness toward the gods starts festering. They don't listen, and he feels helpless, but ah, there is an ancient story about a way to fix that, isn't there? So he gets obsessed, and his people fall to the wayside, and he's back to focusing primarily on Hyrule. The triforce becomes the only thing he really cares about, and sure, he tells himself it's for his people, and believes it's true, but deep down it's about him, and it's about control, and revenge -- not just against Hyrule, not just for the war, but against the gods themselves, for the situation they've saddled him with. And the triforce requires a perfect bearer, yes? He's balanced, he's powerful, he's smart, he's brave, he's got this. Except he's ANGRY. He's So Angry. And so the triforce Splits, and it leaves him with what he really wants.
Power.
And the corruption bleeds out of the sacred realm and all throughout Hyrule, and it's hilarious. Now they all get to suffer like the Gerudo have suffered. Unless they play ball with their new King and let him complete this triforce. And why not? He just wants to rule the world, and he can't possibly do a worse job than the last guy. That guy buried 90% of the Sheikah and then called himself a peacekeeper.
Ganondorf just wants to give the Gerudo a place to live where people won't die every night choking on sand. And be in charge. A man can want two things.
The downside, of course, is -- yeah, he's got broken god matter leaking into his body for seven years straight while he's hunting down this fucking flute that a little girl ran away with, and the guy who has it turns out to be in a godcoma the whole time, and now that he's up he's jumping back and forth and changing reality, which is really fucked up to live through when you're already outside your goddamn mind because there's a literal monster living under your skin doing its goddamn best to dominate what's left of your conscious mind. But despite that!! Despite all that!! Gerudo Valley is STILL the safest place you can be in all of Hyrule. Despite the monsters and the ghosts and the death pineapples, you can have Impa's protections and get murdered by chickens and the ghost of a prisoner of war in the well, OR, you can chill in Gerudo Valley and get paid to shoot arrows. So tl;dr: Ganondorf fucking loves his people, and yes, wanted to rule initially to give them a better lot in life. But he is not an affectionate man, and he is selfish and young and angry and desperate and can see Exactly, Precisely how to solve the problem. And that's hard to be cool about when you're a leader and your people are actively dying. So he's on his own, unless he wants to start another war, which we simply do not have the resources for. If you don't listen to the manga, which I don't, Ganondorf took over Hyrule without the Gerudo. He did it with himself and some good old fashioned necromancy and used Hyrule's soldiers against it, which I always liked to think meant he didn't want his people involved if he failed (which, I mean, in TP he was the only one executed,so he must've taken responsibility solo, because his people would've died protecting him, they worshipped him). I do enjoy that he lets you know though. Every single dungeon there's Gerudo blocks. He said 'don't fuck with me child I'll bury you like the dunes I came here from'
#I'M sorry for the block of text you activated my trap card aklsdJkla#I can talk about this all day aklsdJlask#lozhc

The Zeldas and their roles !!
So the Zeldas are all sisters and cousins born from the current Queen of Hyrule and her sisters. They're just as important to the story as the Links, except that they're less violent... mostly. All the Zeldas in age order with a little info:
- Dusk: Twilight Princess Zelda, the oldest Zelda born to the Queen, deals with political negotiations and holds a great deal of information. She is misunderstood as cold and calculating, but in truth she is just a hermit. She is 26 and in an arranged marriage, though secretly in love with a certain Twili Princess...
- Lullaby/Sheik: Ocarina of Time Zelda, the second oldest born to the Queen, is more of a public face and mostly sweet talks politicians or potential opponents at her parents' command. She is bigender and has a secret identity as Sheik. She is 25 and under less pressure from her parents than Dusk. She's closer with the younger Zeldas and is friends with Time as Sheik.
- Athena: Hyrule Warriors Zelda, the oldest born to the Queen's younger sister, is a highly trained fighter and has fought in a war abroad as a commander. She is highly praised and respected for her role to play, though she would prefer it if it wasn't for the motives behind said war. She is 23 and slightly more distanced from the other Zeldas, though it's just because she travels outside of Hyrule or has to help with military training a lot.
- Fable: Alttp Zelda, the third oldest born to the Queen and currently a sage-in-training. Her public image is that of a highly religious, studious saint, although in reality she's a bit of a goofball. She is 22 and close with Lullaby, Flora, and Sun.
- Sun: Skyward Sword Zelda, the oldest born to the Queen's youngest sister but fifth oldest overall, she lives a more discreet life more distanced from royalty. She still meets for tea with her fellow Zeldas, but feels less of the pressure to be a princess instead of a person. She is 20 and a college student studying textiles and fashion, along with ornithology. She is in contact with her royal relatives and likes gossiping with Fable. She's like a mum friend to Flora and very close with all of the Zeldas, even Dusk the hermit.
- Flora: Botw/Totk Zelda, the second youngest born to the Queen and more of an adventurer and scholar than Princess. She's under immense pressure from the King to be more like Fable as she also holds the same kind of sage magic as her but with the potential to be stronger. She's 16 and stressed out 98% of the time and very close with Fable, Sun, and Lullaby. Before the accident and memory loss, Wild was training to be her personal knight and the two of them got relatively close, but now he doesn't remember her and she's forbidden from exploring without a guard (Sheik sometimes sneaks her out to explore though).
- Dot: Minish Cap/Four Swords Zelda, the younger sister of Sun and only other child of the Queen's youngest sister. Like Sun, she prefers to live a more discreet life, but still speaks to the other Zeldas. She's 15 and good friends with Four, though they have intellectual wars a lot.
- Dawn(I think that's the fanon name for Hyrule's Zelda??): Legend of Zelda and Zelda 2... Zelda. She's the youngest born to the Queen of Hyrule and lives a pretty relaxed life in the castle without much royal pressure. She's 14 and close with all of the Zeldas, but especially Dot.
- Tetra: Wind Waker Zelda, the youngest out of all and Athena's younger sister. She's training as part of the Navy and lives on a submarine most of the time, but she is also tasked with reporting on the loyalty and attitude of recruits. She's 13, but don't let her age fool you; she can and will kick your ass.
