“We could die?!” Amaryllis laughs loudly at her husband's response, “When has that ever stopped us before, Garrus?”

“Shepard-“

“I’m ‘Shepard’ again? Since when-“

“My wonderful, magnificent, drop dead gorgeous and sometimes questionably sane wife we are not in our thirties anymore-“

“We’ll be fine-“

“Filled with bullet holes is not fine. Besides we couldn’t even get the time off- no stop smiling like that- you’ve already gotten the time off.”

“I have.” Garrus’ mandibles flare in a mixture of exasperation and affection. His smaller wife looks up at him, her scarred face wrinkling as she smiles, “You know if I want something done-“

“You’re going to do it yourself,” Garrus finishes, affection winning out in his voice, “You’re going stir crazy.”

“So are you,” She says giving him a look, “I’ve seen the longing look you aim at your black widow. It’s an easy, regular mission. We might not even get shot at.”

“Shepard, we always, always, get shot at.”

“Then it’s a good thing we’re still in marvellous shape from all that reach and flexibility,” She says, getting on her tiptoes and dragging his face down to kiss him, “We leave in two days.”

Ok so the Garrus pipeline is strong.

I wanted to romance him cause I thought he was cool so I decided to wait till me2 to romance anyone.

Me1 Garrus made me go hmmmm maybe…

And then Me2 Garrus made me so happy.

I’m on Me3 now I’m not ready for this. I picked him up from the moon!!! This game is gonna hurt me isn’t it. I’m already emotional exhausted.

Also Shepard has more confidence than I do so the pickup line had both Garrus and me blushing.

Yes I could use the custom character creator but the idea of TIM going “no we must bring her back exactly as she was, including that completely impractical hairstyle, we have no way of knowing if having hair constantly falling over one eye is what gave her the motivation to save the galaxy”

And then Miranda just having to sit there muttering “I am a scientist” while becoming Shepard’s resurrect/coma hairdresser

the idea of malena struggling to figure out what the hell she’s doing after the war since she didn’t expect to survive, but still recovering, and imprinting on a lost stray dog that she refuses to leave at an overcrowded shelter because of it has consumed me. first human spectre, savior of the galaxy, holding the scrungliest furball in a one-sided last stand in the middle of her shared bedroom while kaidan tries to peel back the several layers of psychological crisis to decipher this one. the war and unexpected After and guilt of how much has to be rebuilt weighing on her so much that she doesn’t realize she’s relating her own sense of feeling lost to a stray, but dammit, she’s not letting go of this dog.

i think aside from the compellingly bleak and desperate mood of me3 another thing that especially makes it work for me is the interactions with everyone on the normandy

#not just between them and shepard individually but the interactions between each other #i like playing a game and feeling like everyone is friends and like they care about each other and me3 does that so so well imo #much more than me1 and 2 #(not that it wasn’t there before it’s just that me3 makes it a constant thing)#also the frequent interactions with your romance on missions and such is so nice #me3 isn’t starved for both connection between companions and emotion as a whole and i love that !! it grounds it #anyways.txt #jasmine plays mele
