“On a roadtrip astarion is the designated refueler” on a roadtrip astarion would be that good for nothing bitch who would sleep in the backseat and never take a turn driving and constantly complain about the fast food restaurant everyone agreed to go to for his sake. Shadowheart would offer to drive but everyone would find really nice ways to turn her down bc oh my god she is such a bad driver and their nerves can’t take it. Lae’zel would drive most of the way bc she’s got the necessary longevity and also control issues. Wyll would be the most phenomenal co-pilot/shotgun rider you’ve ever seen - he’d have maps on lock, he’d make sure everyone gets a fair turn with the aux, he’d provide Lae’zel with entertaining conversation so she didn’t get bored. Karlach would be the refueler, and would also buy snacks for everyone even though they all have their own money. Gale would be moral support for everybody until he gets overstimulated and has to put on his noise cancelling headphones and listen to cat purring ASMR.

when people are like “oh so you’re just gonna judge someone for their political beliefs?” yes actually. I think someone’s values and opinions is a pretty reasonable thing to judge them for.

Unity Through Art: A Call for Global Support🌈🌈🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🌈🌈🏳️⚧️🌈
As we continue to face difficult times, I want to share something very special that represents both hope and unity. My dear friend, @pyuavlin created this beautiful piece of art that speaks to where I come from and what it means to stand together in adversity.
The artwork features crested cranes and a rainbow, two powerful symbols in my culture. The cranes represent unity, togetherness, and resilience—qualities we rely on every day as LGBTIQ refugees. The rainbow, a universal symbol of diversity and hope, also reflects our pride and determination as a community that is often marginalized, but never defeated.
Here in the refugee camp, things are getting tougher. Food is becoming scarcer, and many of us are falling sick with little access to medical care. But just as these cranes stand together, we continue to stand with each other, holding on to hope for a better tomorrow.
I share this artwork with the world today not just as a piece of beauty, but as a call for support. We need help to survive these tough months ahead—food, medical care, and basic necessities are becoming more and more out of reach. We are also working to support some of our friends who are about to be resettled in Canada. They need essentials for travel, and our fundraiser is struggling to meet its goals.
Pyu’s art reminds me that even in the darkest of times, unity can get us through. I am asking for your help. Whether it’s sharing our GoFundMe link, donating, or simply keeping us in your thoughts, any form of support can go a long way. Together, like these cranes, we can rise above the storm.
Thank you for standing with us.

We Need Your Support Now More Than Ever
Hello friends.
We are LGBTIQ refugees from East Africa, and we are facing unimaginable challenges in the refugee camps where we have been displaced. Every day, we struggle to survive in hostile environments filled with homophobia and persecution. Our lives are constantly at risk, and we need your help to make it through these difficult times.
Despite the challenges, we have some good news to share! The first group of LGBTIQ refugees from our community is finally heading to Canada. This is a huge milestone for us, and it wouldn't have been possible without your incredible support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has stood by us, and we ask that you continue to support us in whatever way you can.
But we still have a long way to go. Many of us remain in these camps, living in fear and uncertainty. We are asking, kindly, for your donations to our fundraiser. Every penny counts—whether it’s for food, medication, or shelter, your contribution helps us survive another day.
Even though it's difficult to keep asking, we can’t stop. Our lives and futures depend on your generosity. Please, if you can, donate to our cause. Together, we can create a safer future for our community.
Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep moving forward.
Other ways to Donate.⬇️

With gratitude,
Phill and the LGBTIQ refugee community

As much as I like Darklina and Aleksander…. He would not stop to help her up, I doubt he would even notice/care about either of them
Imagine Mal doesn’t see the Darkling’s coach in time and Alina gets run over before anything happens

being fixated on characters from your ttrpg campaign sucks especially if the campaign ended because you wanna read and write about it and see cool art about it and constantly talk to people about it but the fandom is literally only you. and maybe just some guy you see every saturday.

Maybe not siblings considering the lore we get about Mal’s family tree in Ruin and Rising but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made up the names on the spot
In the begining of Shadow and Bone, Ana Kuya tells the Grisha examiners that they think Alina and Mal are around 8 and they can’t be sure because both are orphans, but literally in the next page she calls both of them by their full government names. How to they know that. The only possibility I can think of is that when they came to the orphanage they knew their full names but not their ages, which makes no sense to me
