I’m WCIF friendly, but I also have a lot of old stuff in my game, so I can’t guarantee anything. I should at least be able to give you names though! Please send them via ask though, otherwise I might miss them or forget!

I make TS2 CC exclusively (you will find no ts4 cc here.) and write semi-interesting soap opera style posts based vaguely around gameplay. (with a lot of artistic liberty.) That being said, my writing has some darker themes. I tag appropriately with “tw xxx” as the standard. (ie: “tw death”) please read at your own risk. I’m willing to add extra tw tags for regular readers/mutuals/etc if you send me a dm.

Ten years ago, Arkhelios' "quiet" town was thrown into chaos when one of their beloved founders, Abraham Helios, was found murdered in the park one late night. With no real leads, and no laws as safety nets in place, the case went cold and the town hasn't been the same since. Salem Bellamy stepped up to take over in Abraham's wake, but the peace that followed is strained at best. With new complications on the rise, and the older generation fighting to establish a social hierarchy, the younger generation of residents struggle to find their place, and move on from their traumatic childhoods. But can one really move on, when what's dead and buried doesn't stay that way?

Halloween Baking Set

Now that it's officially spooky season, it's time to take these out of the closet. As a professional baker, I've wanted to make something like this for ages! 

This was my first try at edible food so it's nothing crazy, but it was amusing to work on. Maybe someday I'll open my own virtual bakery 🤷‍♀️

The cake and the pumpkin cookies have edible and deco versions.

You'll need to have Andrew's Crafting Enabler for the recipes to show up in your game.

Vampiric — a sim dump

i'm very excited to finally share this sim dump! in light of spooky szn i really wanted to make some new occult sims, but instead of doing the same old same old, i thought it would be fun to look at folklore from other cultures and see what else is out there!

that's when I came across this list and what i now present to you as vampiric: a sim dump full of folklore from across the world and made up of creatures that aren't necessarily vampires themselves, but are still vampiric by nature.

this was a lot of fun and a very interesting learning experience, cc links, as well as the folklore i referenced, will all be linked below the cut!!

you will need the vampires game pack for all of these sims! since i wanted this to be more skin detail/accessory based, all clothes you see on the sims already come with pre-existing packs. i will try and link as many things as i can, but of course, if i miss something or you have a question don't hesitate to send me an ask! i'm also wcif friendly :)

Hi, I'm just starting out on posting Sims stuff on tumblr and I wanted to ask about the general etiquette? I guess? On posting Sims pictures. Like, I see people tagging the CC creators for some posts but not all of them. should I always tag the creator or ask if they want to be tagged? do I link to that specific CC or just to their page? what if I don't know the creator? I try and keep track but I have CC i downloaded from like. 2016 I think. and tagging on tumblr has always confused me, I've never really done more than reblogging things, do I just tag the posts with like "Sims 4" or???

sorry for the mass questions, i'm not new to tumblr but i'm new to actively trying to participate in a community on here and i'm kinda overwhelmed lol. which is also why i'm asking on anon bc otherwise I'd never hit send

Hi! Welcome to the community 💕

I don't think there are any rules for posting sims pics really, it's not necessary to tag creators if you don't want to, unless it's a lookbook. Other people may want to get the same stuff and it just makes sense to put links to the used items (it's the point of a lookbook) and tag creators (this isn't a must but creators very often reblog lookbooks and edits with their content if they like them so you might want them to see your pics and give you some exposure). If it's like an edit or something else that's not specified as a lookbook, you may put in the info the used CC and tag creators, but only if you feel like it. Again, there are no strict rules or etiquette as you said for your simblr posts, do as you like to and as you are comfortable with.

Linking the used CC can actually save you from many wcif questions if you prefer to avoid them, I guess if you're very shy it may be important for you.

No need to ask a creator if they want to be tagged, most creators are thrilled to see their content being used in other people's games, and yes, you may tag creators even if you don't know them personally. 😅 If you're not sure, check their TOU or their blog, a lot of creators mention how they feel about tagging. Plus, even if a creator is annoyed by your tagging (which is very unlikely, but let's pretend) it's their choice just to ignore your post and that's it.

As for tagging posts, it's important to tag your posts according to their content. First of all it's just simply rude to tag your post like 'the sims 3' if it's not from this game or add 'ts4cc' tag to your post if it's not a download post (unless it's a lookbook with the links to the used cc, then it's fine BUT ONLY THEN). Then, if it's an edit you may add more specific tags like 'the sims 4 edit', 'ts4 edit', or if you post a legacy add some tags related to this theme. You may even develop your system of tags to organize everything within your blog. Like you have a specific tag for your edits only, you can put a link to it somewhere on your blog so others when visit your page could click on it and see your other works.

I'd say worry less about such things, just let your creativity flow and start posting, interact with other people, observe how they do things. Before I started posting anything on my own, this blog was also only for CC tracking, but I was lurking around and looked at how people do things around here.

ADDITIONAL NOTES;

You may have noticed that you can’t access a lot of things when making mermaids that you can access when making a sim. To get around this, I edit my sim’s human form first, making sure it’s linked to the mermaid form and apply all details this way (tattoos, skin details, makeup, presets etc.) This ensures that your mermaid can use basically all the same things your sim can even though the mermaid doesn’t have access to it (like body presets, for example).

HOWEVER, there are some things that your mermaid still won’t have access to, like leg tattoos. Some of the overlays by pyxiidis use the leg tattoo slot which means you can’t get the overlay on your mermaid. For this, I went into S4S and made a new package with the overlays on a different tattoo slot and they work just fine.

Also, make sure you’re on your sim’s swimsuit outfit when doing all your editing because it’s the only outfit a mermaid has and it ensures all your makeup etc transfers over correctly.

Once you’re doing making all your changes, switch off the link to your mermaid then take off all the mermaid details on your sim and make them look like how you want their sim form to look. Done!

I’m going to answer another ask outside of this post that details this but I’ll answer this one here too. The way me and ayoshi do packs is not like a usual collab (in my opinion I don’t think people collab like this). I am good at making meshes. So usually I make a mesh for something and ayoshi makes a base texture that I can use to finish the base of the top/bottom and then we work together to fix any texture issues. Nothing we’ve made has ever been 100% mine or 100% his except for the hairs. Sometimes a mesh is easy but the texture requires a lot of work so it’s more work for him, sometimes I decide I want to try and texture something (like with this AxA I made textures for some of the clothes) and then ayoshi will clean the texture up for me and add some shading for me. So it’s a lot different than what I imagine most collabs are. But I love the way me and him work together and the ability to change something I don’t like because it isn’t just his, it’s ours.

I’m not sure if there are people that specifically only do that but I think there are a handful of creators that get inspired from kpop/music videos and make hairs similar to that. Cause we use EA meshes most of the time the hairs aren’t going to look exactly like the inspiration though. Like I have two hairs that are based off Go Won from loona (Go Won hair and Kelsey Hair) but i don’t think you can tell that just from looking at them.

if you download Sims4Studio and open the package you can make the specular blank but that could cause issues in your game if you play on certain graphic settings. So do it with caution.

BAD HABITS STRIP CLUB

20x20 Lot (Del Sol Valley, Ward Park) Owned by Romeo Bordeaux, Major League Athlete

This is my first time building any establishment – I don’t usually build lots, I just redecorate them. But, since there weren’t any strip club builds that I liked enough to just redo, I bit the bullet and built it from the ground up. See the whole thing under the cut.

Bar Area

Eight-seat, top-shelf bar. Neon logo, small fountain, and commissioned paintings in the lobby. To the far left behind the privacy walls are the bathrooms and the dancers’ dressing room.

Bathrooms

Unfortunately already tagged. Can’t have shit in Del Sol Valley. 

Dancers’ Dressing Room

Two walls of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, hair and makeup stations, lockers… and federal labor law postings. 

Main Stage

Just past the sliding doors is the intimate mainstage with a DJ booth. Red light special 24/7! Neon signs perfect for making sure everyone on Simstagram knows you’re partying at the hottest spot in town. 

Second Floor Balcony

Main stage seating too close for comfort? Embarrassed that you only have ones and not 20s to throw? Head right up to the second floor balcony, where you can watch the main stage from above. 

Second Floor Bar and Hookah Lounge

The second floor (available for rent for private parties) boasts another top-shelf stocked bar as well as a hookah bar for use. Custom neon signage complements the neon logo, Simstagram ready. 

VIP Rooms

Just past the bar and lounge are the three VIP rooms. Two small, identical rooms flank the Platinum VIP room, which comes with complimentary bottle service when you reserve. Custon neon signage throughout.

Administrative

Tucked into the corner are the two administrative offices: the vault and the management and security office.

1.Who is your favorite simblr?

I can’t choose just one. Honestly everyone I interact with and interacts with me. See the list of recommended simblr’s here. Also I’d like to include @nernershuman for being an awesome friend even if she’s not currently active in simblr at the moment. @legendofsim who had been my longest collab partner, while that’s changed I still look forward to seeing her return to simblr and seeing what new things she comes up with.  

5.Why did you join simblr?

@legendofsim had posted an entry form for a BC she was making on the EA Sims forum and mentioned she was posting it on Tumblr. So I joined mainly to follow her BC and well I started to get more involved in the simblr community after that.

I have in the past and I’m open to ships if I have unattached sims available.

TS3 even with all it’s many problems and headaches it still my favorite.

Overall I’ve had a good experience. I have a good little corner and I have wonderful followers. I have had a lot of drama and for that I’m thankful.

30.Are you WCIF friendly?

Honestly no. I’m a very disorganized simblr. If you ask I will do my best to find it for you but I may not always be able to it and for that I’m sorry. Poses I’m much better at than CC.

35.How do you create your sims? Do you use inspiration?Have face claims?

Hmm I mostly just click random sim until I get a base I think I can make something cute out of. I don’t even try to use face claims or real people. Sometimes I have an idea of what I want but most of the time I just play around until I get something I like. It took a lot of practice to like making sims in TS4. The majority of my story sims were born in game from my two Reagan founders. At the time I thought they weren’t that special looking but I love the results. They gave me Jonah, Jayden, Raelyn and Sage. Just to name my story sims.

40.Best sims game?Why?

For all it’s faults and problems TS3 is still my favorite sims game. I wish my computer played it better. I’d like TS4 better if their was more to game play after a while it gets pretty repetitive but it has it’s own charms as do all sims games.

Can I ask you to tag a trigger?

Yeah, no problem! Currently I’m tagging “tw: skeleton” by request when full skeletons are shown. If I forget a tag I said I would tag, I’m very sorry. Please send me a reminder.

Can I ask you to tag something else that is not a trigger?

Sure! I’ll probably be very willing to tag it. I tag “nsft” for heavily sexual posts that should still fit within Tumblr guidelines. On this blog, that will be exceptionally rare. I also tag “cw marijuana” and “cw alcohol” It’s very unlikely that they'll show up on this blog as well, but if for some reason they’re in the preview images, I will tag them.

Are you WCIF friendly? I am very WCIF friendly for CAS items! Please check my “WCIF” tag on my main blog (glammoose.tumblr.com) before asking though. If you miss it, it’s not a big deal, but please do try to check. I will not search for poses unless I remember, however, since I can’t pull those out with the tray importer if I forget who made it and it’s very time consuming to search my poses folders. You can give it a try and ask, just be aware that I might not remember for those. 

Additional things:

Some things are my own recolor swatches I’ve put into their file for mod size efficiency’s sake. I usually remember when I’ve done that and will tell you, but it might occasionally come up that the version you’ve asked about isn’t available in the original creator’s file that I link.

Some things are personal recolors that I either can’t or won’t release. I convert a *lot* of things, ripping textures, messing with meshes etc to get them to fit on the masc frame. Most TOUs do not allow me to release these edited meshes unfortunately. Very rarely, I have character specific things I made that I only want for my character. I will still answer and let you know if this is the case!

Don’t be afraid to ask! If you’re kind and polite, I am not going to get mad at you. I’m usually quick to get back to you, but please give me a day or two. If I haven’t answered in a couple days, you can ask again.

Would you put your sims up for download?

No, I will not put up my characters for download. I really appreciate that you like them, but I’m very attached, and I also have no idea what would be happening to them. I might eventually make some random sims for download, but I’m not sure.

Do you take requests?

No, but I don’t mind suggestions! If you have an idea for something you’d like to see me make, you can let me know, I just may not make it. I will only make unisex or masculine frame things though!

Could you make this for women/the feminine frame?

If it doesn’t fit already, no. I do always check how it fits and most of what I do works okay to perfectly well on the feminine frame as well since EA stuff morphs. I just don’t enjoy the process of making CC, so I only make things I’m going to use for my sims and can’t find by other creators. Feminine frame CC is pretty abundant while masculine frame CC is not. Also, please try to be considerate with your wording. All of my masculine frame CC will fit women and nonbinary sims who have that frame.

Do you have a resources page?

Not exactly, but I do have a CC finds blog! Almost everything I download goes there. I don’t reblog any CC that sent me through lots of ads or anything that I’m getting via Patreon unless it’s early release. I also don’t put any of the Wicked animations I’m downloading there. If there’s actually any interest in literal resources like computer specs and graphics editing, let me know and I might set it up.

My TOU:

I put it on every post of my CC, but the biggest thing is, don’t make money off my stuff. I’m putting it out for free without ads. You can link directly to my stuff offsite (the link must go to my post), but if you lock it behind ads or on paysites, I will send demons to haunt you. Same if you try to say you made it. Like, that’s just weird. Learn how to make your own stuff and reap the attention that way! It’s more fulfilling that way too, I promise.

Found an issue with a piece of my CC?

Let me know! You can send an ask here or you can send it to my main blog. You can also send me a DM. Just be polite. 

Tips: 

Try to be as descriptive as possible. Tell me which piece of CC it is and what it’s doing. Just saying it’s messed up isn’t enough information.

If you have a screenshot of it, that’s even better! You'll have to message me that though since asks don’t allow pics. 

Take off all other CC to make sure it’s not a conflicting piece of CC (or, put it on a sim who doesn’t have other CC on). Some textures bleed onto others based on where it’s mapped and some skin details have layering that is affected by clothing. It doesn’t mean my thing isn’t the one causing it, but it helps with trying to figure out if it is or not.

Heya!

I'm Audrey, I live in France and I'm new(ish) to the simblr community! It's been a while since I've wanted to create a simblr to post my pixels adventures, and I figured why not try my luck?

Sims are my childhood love,  I've been playing those games since The Sims 1. I'm into challenges/legacies related stuff,  so you'll definitely see a lot of gameplay pictures on this blog. Maybe edits too (if I manage to create something good enough in my opinion to be posted aha).

I'll start with the Upgrowth Challenge, since I'm pretty passionate about History. And mostly because I've been enjoying this challenge soooo much. I do spice it up with a sip of Random Challenge, tho.
