If you want really broad categories, you could do something like passerines/birds of prey/water birds. Or following more specific (but relatively easy for follow for a non-birder I hope) catergories, ebird's 'shape' based ID classes might be useful: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/browse/shape both realtively easy to ID from and taxonomically informative.

do you guys have any suggestions on how to sort birds into categories? 🤔 mammals are a piece of cake but im going in blind when it comes to the most scientifically accurate/cohesive way to organize these beasts in the archive
