honestly shout out to girls who have no actual depiction of them in most (if any) form of media. girls who can't see themselves physically represented by any fictional characters; girls who can't relate with the largely tropey writing of any female character that exists. womanhood--and frankly, general personhood--is not restricted to how it is depicted in fiction or on screen. your identity as a person and as a woman is not tied to what other people think women should be like; it is tied into your acceptance and love of yourself.
#terfs dni#(rb ok)#this is kind of an extension of my other reblog with the tags talking about how people don't know how to write female characters as flawed#people. they only know how to write female characters as flawed women#and therefore there are a lot of caricatures of women across different fictional media that can look the same#because many of them are written to be women before they're written to be people#therefore not only do many people (women included) walk around with this kind of mindset but they also think real life women fit into these#categories. and if they don't feel like they fit into one then they will try to make themselves fit into one#but the thing is women are as diverse as any other demographic#and particularly for women who DON'T see themselves represented as one of these fictional caricatures of a woman#then they tend to feel out of place. not woman enough or too weird to be a woman feeling on the outskirts of being a girl and being human#of course a huge part of this comes from my own experiences in feeling this Otherness as well#but people as a species love to generalize and categorize in and gender roles and presentation is like one of the oldest forms of this#but there are no 'rules' to being a woman beyond identifying as a woman in some way#the same way there are no 'rules' to being anything else

Hello! I’d love to know more about your OC species specifically! Everything about their planet, it’s economy, and its biomes? Religion/spirituality? Gender/general societal LGBTQ+ things? Education systems? Guiding values? Diet? And most importantly, what is the weirdest thing about humans to them? :P
Thank you!
Ohhhohohoho yes this I love this
Orileans (for reference I’m using the Standard Orilean language that was established after first contact, but is not widely used on Orlei)
Orlei, at the time ds9 takes place, is a bit of a mess. There’s a drought/dust bowl on the western side (region of K’Tax) and a civil war in the Southeast region of K’thane. Famine is widespread due to the drought and K’thane blockades. The president of K’thane (where Nah’Lei grew up) is not a very good dude, and this war has been going on for like sixty years, starting with the current presidents father in power. Nah’Lei had been a diplomat for the K’thix Separatists (the rebel group trying to break away from K’thane) long before she was in the Federation. Basically, K’thix is a region that was taken over by K’thane hundreds and hundreds of years ago, and now they’re rebelling to get their land back.
Mostly, Orlei is a desert planet, with scattered forests and only 45% of the planet covered in water. That’s why the spikes were developed, to deter swooping predators.
As for religion, there are many different ones, as for any planet, but the most widespread is a polytheistic religion that worships various gods of harvest and hunt. There are certain spike adornments that indicate religious affiliation, as well as some non-religious ones that have appeared more recently and are HIGHLY debated by religious authorities and politicians.
Despite the fact they each have their own language, they value connection with each other HIGHLY. Usually, each person’s first language is mostly made up from the combination of their parents' languages, and as relationships progress, they make their own languages as well!
There are four genders! One with a role much like human women, one reserved for high religious figures (whose word literally translates in most languages to “one of the rain”), farmers and their children, and one another that is very similar to human women but with a more religious presentation. They don’t correspond with sex, and they’re very caste-based. And there are certain taboos in marriage (1 and 3 weren’t legally allowed to marry until only around a hundred years ago)
There is a role of person that just travels and learns! Most children’s education consists of five parts (basic baby socialization, elementary school, high school, a three to ten year university period, and a year or two of traveling), but many kids of the richest families decide to become wanderers (who travel, learn, make art, and spend their whole lives exploring the nature of knowledge and the self)
They can’t cover up the place where the bony spike meets their shoulder or else they risk “contact infection” where the seam of skin gets a bunch of cysts and causes extreme pain. This often conflicts with starfleet dress codes and Nah’Lei (one of the only Orileans in the fleet) is in the sick bay with them a LOT. Because of this, a lot of their shirts are open shoulder or wrap around.
Pop culture is also really fun! There are an insane amount of music genres (some varying by the smallest things) and I won’t even try to explain them all because even I have no idea how to actually categorize them. There is a standard writing system (and since joining the federation, a standard speaking system was created for speaking with aliens) and literature consists of mainly adventure novels very akin to Lord of the Rings.
Weirdest thing about humans to them: either the smooth shoulders or the fact that they sleep for eight hours a night. Orileans don’t need as much sleep, but if they don’t go into the deep, almost death-like state that they need for at least an hour they’ll be very cranky (much like humans when they’re sleep deprived) and it’s pretty difficult to go into that state when stressed. Nah’Lei hasn’t had a full hour since she joined starfleet.
Katrians
I honestly don’t have a lot of information for them. They’re a fairly new species for me, but I do like exploring how the destruction of their planet affected them culturally.
A lot of Katrians struggle with identity issues. They are constantly living under others’ governments and among others’ people with very little political representation wherever they choose to live.
The main religion is like Catholicism in that they pray to something like Saints. Really, they worship the “enlightened” which is a group of artists and scientists that really existed and brought about a Golden Age of Katria.
The smaller religion (the one Lierza and her family are a part of) is considered an evil, unenlightened cult by those who worship the Enlightened and have been persecuted throughout Katrian history. They actually have two goddesses who are in love and created Katria and its surrounding star system. They pray by planting, actually! Gardens are kinda like shrines and seeds are considered the children of the goddesses.
A lot of major cities on Kronos and Earth have “little Katria” regions where a lot of Katrians (usually of the same religion/ethnic group) congregate.
Weirdest thing about humans to them: How easy their bones are to break. Katrian bones are like fucking steel and if one breaks it’s basically fatal.
That’s about it I have for them so far, but I’ll let you know if I think about anything else!
Hysarai
First and foremost, cannibalism is considered an honorable way to treat a body. In times of famine or war, Hysari will eat dead bodies and bury the remaining shell.
They’re very mechanically curious, and had a period of EXTREMELY rapid scientific progression, developing warp speed and making first contact only about one hundred years after developing electricity. They made first contact with Andorians, who are only about a star system over.
Interestingly enough, the Hysarai never developed religion. Their pattern of evolution was just sort of known by everyone and they just... never had one.
In starfleet, they usually go into engineering. Their silk is a fantastic adhesive and they can get into places some others can’t. That, combined with the value placed on machines and tech, they make incredibly engineers.
They only have two basic sexes, but are fluid about gender. Otherwise, they’re pretty matriarchal, with mothers being some of the most valued.
They also really like jazz because their main prey sounds a lot like trumpets. They mostly eat other bugs (usually just raw with seasoning or very lightly cooked).
Their planet is a jungle planet and there is so much oxygen that a human will probably immediately die on it. It’s largely populated by arthropods, with only ten or so species of mammals. They also had a lot of cities spring up after the rapid period of mechanical development.
Weirdest thing about humans to them: they eat plants. Who eats plants?? and they DON’T eat their fallen comrade’s dead bodies?
If you have anything else you want to know shoot me an ask or a DM!

HE BIG BLEACH HC MEME centering around politics, repost & fill out! For anyone who wanted to explore those aspects more, considering it played a big role in the story. Some things may be unknown to your Muse, just think in WHAT IF then & well, have fun and take your time!
BASICS
Name: Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez / / / Age: Unknown [<100 yrs] / / / Gender: He/Him (Agender) Race: Shinigami / Quincy / Hollow [ Arrancar ] / Fullbringer / Visored / Human / Other Currently lives: Soul Society / Hueco Mundo / Silbern / Living World / Hell Exact Location: Las Noches, Hueco Mundo ; Urahara Shoten Rooftop, Karakura Group(s): Las Espadas; Aizen’s Arrancar Army
QUESTIONS
- Would your muse consider themselves more: GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL ? - Would your muse consider their group more: GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see them: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see their race: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ? - How does your muse think others see their group: GOOD / EVIL / NEUTRAL ?
- Is your muse considered a threat: YES / NO ? From whom?: Shinigami, Humans, Hollows - Is your muse powerful: YES / NO ? Could they be considered OP: YES / NO ? - Did your muse commit any crimes: YES / NO ? [ Idk everyone seems pretty chill with murder ] - Does your muse think they are doing mostly the right thing: YES / NO ? - Would society think the same: YES / NO / MIXED OPINIONS ?
- Does your muse think they are treated unfairly: YES / NO ? - Does your muse feel understood from others: YES / NO ? - Is it important for them what others think of them as a person: YES / NO ? - Would they welcome death: YES / NO ? - Will they ever find peace: YES / NO ?
01.0. Do they fully stand behind the group they are part of? YES / NO. Why is that? Explain: Grimmjow firmly believes that Aizen is right. The system is broken and it failed Grimmjow personally. But Grimmjow is disinterested in revenge, and has even less interest in fixing the broken world. All that feels too large, too tumultuous. Why is it his problem? What if they do kill the Soul King. What’s next? Replace one tyrant with another (Grimmjow knows Aizen is not a good man). The fallout can’t be predicted and honestly, his personal goals have very little to do with Aizen’s. Grimmjow’s biggest goal has an always will be to stay alive. It’s hard to do that if you back an organization and a man who is willing to dispose of him the moment his use runs out. Despite this, Grimmjow stands behind Aizen. He does not stand with Aizen’s army.
02.0. Do they like as things are in Soul Society? YES / NO / INDIFFERENT. 02.1. Is there anything they would change? Explain here: The whole thing is rotten as far as he’s concerned, but he hasn’t put more thought into it then that. If he could change it without too much effort on his part, he just wants to create a place that is safe for him and the very few people he cares about.
03.0. Would they ever actively try to bring change (in general)? YES / NO. 03.1. Is your muse more: passive / active ? introverted / extroverted ? 03.2. Does your muse care more about: others / themselves ? 03.3. Do they trouble their mind over a lot of problems, others? YES / NO. 03.4. Do they mostly involve: the world / everyone / themselves / comrades / friends / family / elderly / kids / teenagers / home / workplace / strangers / souls / humans / quincy / shinigami / nobles / fullbringer / visored / hollows / espada / arrancar / (former) boss(es) / pets / animals / zanpakuto spirit / enemies / partner / lovers / soul king / god / other…(add more) 03.5. Name (up to) three which are the most on their mind (optional, adding names): - himself - enemies (shinigami, kurosaki ichigo, aizen sosuke) - surviving espada (nelliel and hallibel)
04.0. Do they think frequently about politics? YES / NO / SOMETIMES. Why is that? Explain: He only starts paying more attention once Harribel ascends to the throne and he is one of the three leaders of Hueco Mundo. Even then, he leaves the diplomacy to Harribel and Nelliel, preferring to take up a more security and defensive based role in protecting their stronghold. His interest only extends so far as to determine ways to benefit himself.
05.0. How do they feel in their current location: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ? 05.1. Why is that?: It’s just a place. He happens to be here.
06.0. Does your muse have any goal: YES / NO ? BIG / SMALL ? 06.1. Does it involve anything world-changing: YES / NO ? 06.2. If goal or not, any future plans? Share here: He would like to amass enough power as to no longer feel unsafe or threatened. He wishes to gain recognision and acknowledgement - originally as the King - this goal is largely achieved within Hueco Mundo.
07.0. Does your muse know about the Original Sin of Soul Society*: YES / NO ? [ Peripherally he is aware ] * curious? Read about it here. 07.1. If they knew, would it change their views on Soul Society: YES / NO ? 07.2. More: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ?
08.0. Who is the worst person in their eyes?: Luppi 08.1. What should happen to them? Execution (quick / slow death) / Imprisonment / Stripped of their powers / Torture / Repay for their sins / Pay a Fine / Social Work / lose their loved ones / Exile / other… (add more). 08.2. Explanation: Nobody is really good or bad in Grimmjow’s eyes. They are either his enemies or they are a neutral party. Luppi is just the bitch that stole Grimmjow’s rank, and Grimmjow can’t let that stand.
09.0. Thoughts on: Quincy Massacre if they knew: POSITIVE / NEGATIVE / NEUTRAL ? 09.1. Would they be alright with such thing happening again: YES / NO / INDIFFERENT ? 09.2. Would they try to prevent it: YES / NO / DEPENDS ? 09.3. Explanation: Grimmjow is a hollow. The Shinigami kill hollows, sure. But the Quincy wipe them from existence. He has no mercy for the Quincy.
10.0. Would they ever switch sides: YES / NO ? 10.1. If yes, What could bring them to do so?: - Grimmjow is and always will be on his own side. The side he is on is therefore just whichever aligns best with his wants and needs. He is however, also very loyal. One must earn this and then work to keep it. 10.2. Would they create a new one: YES / NO ? or join a current one? If so, which: - N/A
11.0. Does your muse follow a certain moral code*?: YES / NO / GRAY AREA ? * (ethics) A written, formal, and consistent set of rules prescribing righteous behavior, accepted by a person or by a group of people. 11.1. What does it involve?: He always repays his debts. He doles out retribution as it is deserved. 11.2. What does it NOT involve?: He will show no bias in threatment regardless of sex or gender. He does not seek consent or permission. The ends justify the means at any cost. Murder. Violence. Hurting children.
YOUR MUSE’S VIEWS / OPINIONS ON THESE GROUPS ?
Central 46: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: Eh. They’re in charge of the shinigami. Grimmjow hates them by association. He doesn’t really know anything about them beyond what Aizen told him.
Four Great Noble Clans: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: Shinigami affiliated. He has no real idea who these people are or what the want.
Royal Guards / Gotei 13: positive / negative / neutral . ━ because: They hunt and kill his kind. THey are his natural enemy.
Fullbringer: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: He does not have an opinion. He has only met two and one was a shinigami.
Visored: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: He has... mixed feelings where the visored are concerned. On one hand, they are of shinigami origin. On the other hand, they are definitely at least partially hollow. Grimmjow feels an uncomfortable sort of kinship to them in the sense that both his and their lives were irrevocably affected by Aizen.
Espada: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: Every single one of them wants him dead. They can not be trusted.
Quincy: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: They want to exterminate not only his whole species but also the cycle that may one day grant Grimmjow absolution. They invaded his home, hurt his people, strung up his queen. They deserve death, and he will gladly bring it.
YOUR MUSE’S VIEWS / OPINIONS ON THESE (IMPORTANT) PEOPLE ?
Aizen: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: Grimmjow’s relationship to Aizen is much too complex to boil down into a single post. Aizen simultaneously offers Grimmjow what he wanted, and then proceeded to dangle it in front of him and laugh as Grimmjow failed to meet his expectations. Though Grimmjow is willful, he has never desired Aizen’s death (despite what he may say about it). Grimmjow goes to extensive efforts, placing both himself and his pack at risk, and placing Aizen’s desires above his own in attempts to please him. He desperatly wishes to earn his favour and though he knows he will likely never succeed, his fragile hope, fierce possessiveness, and craving for recognision drives him onwards. Grimmjow both loathes and loves Aizen.
Yhwach: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: An enemy who impeded on Grimmjow’s way of life, threatened and his territory, and whats left of those that Grimmjow could categorize as his ‘people’. The threat must be eliminated.
Mayuri: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: He doesn’t know who this man is. If he knew that he was responsible for reviving Luppi, he would hate him. If Grimmjow met him, he would decide that Mayuri gives off Szayel vibes, which are bad vibes made significantly worse by the fact that he is a shinigami.
Kurosaki: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: Again, Grimmjow’s perspective on Kurosaki is a complicated and convoluted one that really deserves it’s own post. Grimmjow was specifically made by Aizen as a stepping stone for Ichigo; as intent is realized through the Hōgyoku, at least some of that intent affected Grimmjow during his evolution. Grimmjow fixates obsessively on Ichigo, primarily as an enemy who must be destroyed. However, Ichigo is also one of the very few people who views Grimmjow as his equal, and though Grimmjow is frightened and threatened by this, he also respects Ichigo a great deal for it. These conflicting feelings cause him a lot of confusion which he expresses in violent ways.
Soul King: positive / negative / neutral. ━ because: He has no strong opinions on the soul king prior to seeing it. He believes it is the actual, literal King of the Soul Society. His own pride and desire for power would have him see it as competition. Upon realizing that this is not what the Soul King is, Grimmjow is viscerally disgsted. It’s an abomination and makes him uncomfortable down to his bones. It cements in his mind that Aizen was on the right track, though he now knows of the side effects that may result in destroying it. He is outraged and abhorred that he nearly died tryign to protect such a thing.
CONGRATS, you managed till to the end, now tag your fellow bleach partners!
TAGGED BY: stole from @skyvar TAGGING: No one! It’s much too long for me to force on you, but it is super interestign and I would LOVE to read what everyone elses thoughts are!
#[ Repost Games || OOC ]#[ hc || pry open the armour plating and get at the soft meat ]#ooc ; so if u dont know yet I LOVE bleahc politics its so fascinating to me#Grimmjow isnt really interested or involved tragically#but i really love explorign and understandign the different factions#why this universe works the way it does#imagining the different outcomes if say the Quincy won or Aizen won#thats fascinating to me#and grimmjow is technically a political leader now lmAOOOOOO so he should probably try harder and be more aware and knowledgable on politics

ok @the-defiant-pupil i'm just gonna go ahead and make a new post bc this is about to get too long for my adhd ass
(context: continuation of this post)
1. funny thing is, i've actually read most of your sources already. they get really, really boring after awhile though, bc all of them start to say the same thing: yes there are differences, but there are also similarities, and scientists have yet to figure out the significance of this.
i'm not gonna go through each and every one of your sources, and i shouldn't be expected to either. when it comes to biological research, find the most recent articles with the most solid evidence/conclusions and call it good. don't dredge up an entire archive. i could find you sources that only characterize lichens as 2 symbiotic organisms rather than 3, but that wouldn't be correct bc the most recent research says otherwise. so yeah, just bc you CAN find that much info out there doesn't mean all of it is viable and should be used.
also, you can't just list a bunch of sources and expect it to be enough. you should contextualize them, explain them, tell your audience why each one matters. if you're really going to have that many, then be prepared to give a short annotation for each one bc i can guarantee you no one has enough time on their hands (or in my case, attention span) to read that many sources
your "plain as day" source by the way?? says this as well:
this is what i was talking about earlier!! do you actually read, contextualize, and analyze what you read? or do you just find the first line you agree with and run with it?
bc what i got from reading that article is that even after years of research and the largest study to date, scientists STILL don't fully understand what they're looking at, and they might never. so we, as people Not Actively Researching This Subject should be incredibly hesitant to draw our own conclusions when even the researchers can't do so.
i also like that the author mentions how socialization can affect brain structure and development — did you know that domestication causes visible differences in gene structure between the ancestor and current-day species? bc of selective breeding, humans changed the genetics of dogs, cows, crops, etc.; genetics changed bc of domestication, domestication didn't come about bc of a change in genetics. and i KNOW that you're going to tell me this has nothing to do w what we're talking about, but it does hold a similar concept: it's not just genetics and bodily functions that affect behavior, the environment has an equally important role.
similarly, gene expression in almost every species is highly regulated by the environment just as equally as it is the body (and for clarification: environment means anything external, body means anything internal). as are hormonal responses, reflexes, emotions, etc. all of which can have subtle but lasting impacts on the body! i don't actually think that anti-transmeds are trying to deny science when we say that how your brain developed is not the only thing that affects gender identity! i think it's kinda actually the opposite!
2. i've haven't heard of this tumblr biologist, so please direct me to their publications, i'd actually really love to read them
3. science literacy is a whole other beast than literacy in general. like, yes, you have to be able to read, but suddenly specific word choice and HOW you read articles becomes important. it goes from reading chronologically (english literacy) to reading section by section and contextualizing what you've read in previous sections and articles so that by the end you understand the initial hypothesis, if the evidence ACTUALLY proved it, if their methods were sound, and why it matters in the particular field.
i'm not trying to say that people who aren't studying science can't read peer-reviewed articles and understand them, but you do have to realize that it's a completely new skillset you have to practice over and over again, not just something you can pick up on the fly
4. i think you completely missed my point about the anti-vaxxer movement. the reason it started was bc McBastard Wakefield published his article and before any other research could be done to refute it or back it up, the greater population picked it up and ran with it. 7 or so years since it's been debunked and he lost his medical license, but people still believe him bc he got published, and to some of the most accredited journals at that.
my point was that just bc the research exists doesn't mean we should accept it at face value until the medical/scientific community can undeniably say "this is what this is, and what it means." and they're STILL doing further research, which means that hasn't happened yet. bc the whole point of science, and by extension research, is to never be satisfied w your results, and instead continue to look for more than you can currently see. or at least that's what i've been taught.
bc to look at published articles and assume that they MUST be true bc it's PUBLISHED SCIENCE is...exactly what the anti-vaxxer movement began on. and i'd rather not repeat that.
(please show me, by the way, how """tucutes""" 1. actually exist and 2. harm anyone by simply living their own damn lives)
5. yeah """""tucutes""""" don't have any science bc uh.....there really is none. science is a process, and we're currently in the research phase which means NO ONE should be using it as proof. it's good to say "hey this exists" but to completely invalidate someone's existence based on studies that scientists are still trying to understand? that's called abusing and misconstruing results
6. i'm guessing you don't actually care, but sure. i'll explain mating types of fungi to you.
in short: genetic diversity is advantageous for survival, and fungi are nothing if not crafty little bastards, thus 1000s of mating pairs for better chances of sexual compatibility
in long: each mating type is determined by a set of genes. really, you can think of mating types as extended alleles, since each distinct allele has a distinct mating type.
so as for 5 different mating types and how they're different...there you go. that'd be like asking me to tell you 5 different alleles of the same gene and how they're different. the only difference is in sequence and then how they're expressed due to differences in sequence.
usually we don't categorize every single mating type since that'd be a bit...much.
however, we can and do categorize fungi by how they reproduce! i.e., what kind of syntamy do they display? can they go through diploid selfing? can they inbreed or only out cross? what's their primary stage of life: diploid or haploid? do they rely on sexual reproduction or asexual reproduction? if it's an ascomycete, do they form pericarps or ascocarps?
in fact, one of the main differentiators between fungi is their life cycle, most of which is geared towards reproduction. that's why although basidiomycetes and ascomycetes are the only fungi that can form macro fruiting bodies (as well as many, many other similarities), they'll always be categorized differently.
but i digress. the reason i compared fungal mating types to brain morphology and "sex" categorization is bc i was making an analogy. i'm not a neurologist, as you can probably tell at this point, but that doesn't mean i haven't taken any classes that covered the brain pretty extensively.
what i was really trying to say was this: everything that i've read so far says that although there's definitely some differences between brains, there's also a significant amount of overlap, so much so that when you try to categorize the brain into two distinct types, you're still going to have an incredible amount of variety.
likewise, you could, theoretically, do the same to fungi. you could sequence the genes from each mating type, determine the different SNPs, and categorize them into two distinct groups based on what SNPs they do/don't have. it wouldn't make sense to do so, though, bc there'd still be too much variety within each group.
this was just me trying to relate it to what i personally study but tbh i can see how that would've been confusing, so i apologize for that

₊˚ ♥ language(s)
◦ English + French ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ As a French woman, born and raised in France, Lisa naturally speaks French fluently. However, english is also a popular language in the country and is taught in school thus, she is bilingual.
₊˚ ♥ occupation
◦ madame + club owner ◦
⇻╼▸⋅At only the age of 21 Lisa is the youngest madame and club owner in all of France. Using her powers to scam men out of copious amounts of money, she opened the club at the age of 18 and now has expanded into the escort business. Why would she want to run a business like this you may ask? It’s because it allows her ample opportunities to satiate her appetite. That’s why.
₊˚ ♥ species
◦ human-succubus hybrid ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa’s mother was a prostitute and succubus from Paris, France. Her father, a college professor from Cairo, Egypt. Their meeting was purely prompted by lust and desire however it evolved into much more. After only two months of being together Lisa’s mother quit being a prostitute and in three years time the two were married. Through the assistance of a black sorcerous, Lisa was conceived and brought into the world despite her mother’s inherent incapability to bear children. Unfortunately, her mother died in child birth. Lisa has powers and desires very similar to any traditional succubus. She feeds on lust and can make just about anyone want her. However this can be both a blessing and a curse.

◦ 𝒶𝓅𝓅𝑒𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒 ◦
₊˚ ♥ face
◦ heart shaped ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa has a heart shaped face like her mother. Her nose, eyes and lips fit her face well. Her cheek bones protrude ever so slightly contributing to her face shape.
₊˚ ♥ eyes
◦ almond + dark brown ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa has dark brown and hazel freckled almond eyes. She gets her eyes from her mother. Many have found her eyes to be quite beautiful and unique.
₊˚ ♥ body
◦ mesomorph ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa is a mesomorph. She is medium height, at 5 feet 7 inches, and slender but well-proportioned, nonetheless. She has plump hips and a well-proportioned bust. She doesn’t work out much. She isn’t very active at all to be honest. She prefers to lay about all day if she can.
₊˚ ♥ hair
◦ dark brown + short and cropped ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa has beautiful dark hair with lighter tones. She loves her hair. It’s not a gentle wave to it which at least she thinks is cute. She tends to style it the same way all the time for the most part due to its length. However, when doing work around the house she will put it back in a tinny tiny ponytail.
₊˚ ♥ piercings
◦ three on each ear ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa has 6 earlobe piercings (3 on each side) that go through the earlobe, starting towards the bottom-center of the lobe. She got her first piercing on each side a couple months after she was born so she can’t remember the pain of those too much. However, she’s pretty sure it felt just as bad as the 2nd and 3rd ones. She can handle pain, but she doesn’t exactly like it. She’s just happy they look good.
◦◍○◌ ♥ ◌○◍◦
◦ 𝓅𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑜𝓃𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎 ◦
₊˚ ♥ positive traits
◦ charismatic ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa is also very charismatic. Charm and popularity are qualities she has in spades. She has always been able to instinctively know how to capture someone attention, and pick up on mood and motivation in ways that allow her to communicate with reason, emotion, passion, restraint – whatever the situation calls for. She is able to shift their tone and manner to reflect the needs of the audience.
◦ good leader ◦
⇻╼▸⋅ Lisa is a great natural leader. More than seeking authority herself, she welcomes her leadership role. She is often suppered by the many admirers of her strong personality. She doesn’t take bullshit from anyone and is proud to show it.

A Brief Summary of Ideas: Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat
*These summaries are kept intentionally very brief, just hitting what I consider some of the important/interesting takeaways, most word-for-word or paraphrased. I strive to be objective as possible and not include any review/opinions on the material. My goal is also to stick to ideas/principals, not specific examples, that might guide others (or my future self) in deciding the value of reading (or re-reading).
Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat: Why It's So Hard to Think Straight About Animals
Author: Hal Herzog
Inconsistences in our thinking about animals is not the exception, but the rule.
Moral considerations for pets can be varied (whether we keep them, how we keep them, feeding them [other animals?], their effect on other animals [ex. cats killing other small, wild animals], breeding ethics, spaying/neutering, etc
Anthrozoology: study of nearly all aspects of our interactions with other species. AKA Human-Animal studies.
In animal-assisted therapy using dogs most studies show improvement at about same level as depressed people get from using pharmaceuticals.
Hawthorne effect: temporary improvements caused by a change in routine.
Childhood animal abuse is more common than generally recognized.
"Cuteness" matters a lot in how most people think about the treatment of other species (ex. humans innately drawn to anything that looks like a baby--big eyes, soft contours, etc.)
Sometimes the words we use for meat can help avoid thinking about the ethical implications (ex. beef).
Human propensity for categorizing animals starts very young (can distinguish living creatures from inanimate objects).
Sociozoologic scale: category system based on the roles animals play in our lives. Culture plays major role.
We have a natural proclivity to divide our social words into two broad categories, "us" and "them". For most of human history nonhuman animals have been "them", but shifting views of animals (like pets) are making them "us".
Evolutionary psychologists argue the capacity to infer the perspectives of others, called theory of mind (to put ourselves in their shoes mentally), would have been a big evolutionary advantage. When we anthropomorphize we are extending our theory of mind to other species, and this is at the root of many of our moral quandaries with animals. Likely opened he door for taming them and forming bonds.
No hard definition of a pet, one is animals we live with that have no obvious function.
We don't really know why we keep pets. Evolutionary quandary (animal we invest time, energy, and resources in that doesn't have useful purpose).
Companion animal and pet guardian are linguistic illusions that enable us to pretend we don't own the animals we live with.
Humans are the only animal that keep members of other species for extended periods of time just for enjoyment.
Shifts in culture due to our copycat nature. Power laws, a statistical distribution, show that large numbers of people influence each other (ex. 80/20 rule). Whether something gets copied is largely a matter of chance.
Hereditary diseases are the rule among purebreds.
The direction and size of gender differences in interactions with animals depends on the type of relationship.
Women dominate animal protection groups. They also dominate abusers (when taking hoarding into account, but men dominate violent acts.)
The big differences only come into play at the extremes. When two bell curves overlap a small difference between averages means big differences at the extremes. The size of the differences in animal interactions within sexes is bigger than between the average male and average female.
Some differences in the legality of how we treat animals (ex. 9 billion chickens killed per year for food vs. cockfighting, or horse racing) is a matter of money/power.
Culture is biggest contributor to food tastes.
Moralization is the process by which neutral preference becomes regarded as moral/immoral.
For most people health is the primary reason for considering vegetarian diets. Most return to eating meat.
Often the more justified the use of a species is scientifically the less its use is justified morally.
The justification for animal experimentation ultimately rests on the premise that smarter organisms have the right to power over less smart ones.
Argument from marginal cases: animal research is predicated on the assumption that nonhuman species lack certain abilities/functions that humans possess. But what about humans that don't posses these?
Difficult to set moral bar high enough to exclude all nonhuman animals and low enough to include all human beings and still be based on morally relevant traits.
Animal welfare act defines animals as any live or dead dog, cat, nonhuman primate, guinea pig, hamster, rabbit, or other such warm blooded animal, which is being used, or intended for use for research, teaching, testing, experimentation, or exhibition purposes, or as a pet.
More research mice are killed each year than used in experiments.
Its a paradox that you need to conduct animal research to determine if it is immoral to use a species in animal research (dependent on our knowledge of their mental attributes).
Most peoples view of the treatment of other animals known as "vacuous attitudes": collections of largely unrelated and isolated opinions, not a coherent belief system.
Psychic numbing: the larger the tragedy, the less people seem to care.
New beliefs and new behaviors reinforce each other.
Ethics involve drawing lines.
Phrase for when people take logic to extremes: caught in the grip of a theory.
How do we know what is right? Emotional and intellectual methods both seem flawed.
Cognitive dissonance is when our beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes are at odds. Uncomfortable so we try and resolve these (by changing them).
The drive for consistency seems to be a motivator for moral reflection and development.
"The fact that you can only do a little is no excuse for doing nothing."-John Le Carre

Declaration for All Life on Earth & a New Paradigm ★ The Earth is an evolving living entity. Every form of life on Earth is an important part of this living entity. Accordingly, WE, as individual human beings, must cultivate the awareness that WE are all members of a global community of life and that WE share a common mission and responsibility for the future of our planet. Every ONE of us has a role to play in the evolution of our planet, and to achieve world peace each of us must live up to our responsibilities and obligations. Up to the present time, few people on Earth have been fully satisfied with life. WE have faced conflicts all over the world in competition for limited resources and land. This has had a devastating effect on the global environment. As WE enter the new millennium, more than anything else, the realization of world peace depends on an awakening of consciousness on the part of each individual member of the human race. Today, it is imperative that every human being bears the responsibility of building peace and harmony in his or her heart. WE all have this common mission that WE must fulfill. World peace will be achieved when every member of hUmaNITY becomes aware of this common mission, when WE all join together for our common purpose. Until now, in terms of power, wealth, fame, knowledge, technology and education, hUmaNITY has been divided between individuals, nations and organizations that have possession and those that do not. There have also been distinctions between the givers and the receivers, the helpers and the helped. WE hereby declare our commitment to transcend all these dualities and distinctions with a totally new concept, which will serve as our foundation as WE set out to build a peaceful world. GENERAL PRINCIPLES ★ In the new era, hUmaNITY shall advance toward a world of harmony, that is, a world in which every individual can freely express their individual qualities, while living in harmony with ONE another and with all life on Earth. To realize this vision, WE set forth the following guiding principles: 1. Reverence for life WE shall create a world based on LOVE and harmony in which all forms of life are respected. 2. Respect for all differences WE shall create a world in which all different races, ethnic groups, religions, cultures, traditions and customs are respected. The world must be a place free from discrimination or confrontation, socially, physically and spiritually—a place where diversity is appreciated and enjoyed. 3. Gratitude for and coexistence with all of nature WE shall create a world in which each person is aware that WE are enabled to live through the blessings of nature, and lives in harmony with nature, showing gratitude for all animal, plant and other forms of life. 4. Harmony between the spiritual and material WE shall create a world based on the harmonious balance of material and spiritual civilization. WE must break away from our overemphasis on the material to allow a healthy spirituality to blossom among hUmaNITY. WE must build a world where not only material abundance but also spiritual riches are valued. PRACTICE ★ WE shall put these principles into practice guided by the following: As individuals: WE must move beyond an era in which authority and responsibility rest in nation states, ethnic groups and religions to ONE in which the individual is paramount. WE envision an "age of the individual", not in the sense of egoism, but an age in which every individual is ready to accept responsibility and to carry out his or her mission as an independent member of the human race. Each of us shall carry out our greatest mission to bring LOVE, harmony and gratitude into our own heart, and in so doing, bring harmony to the world at large. In our specialized fields: WE shall build a system of cooperation in which wisdom is gathered together to derive the most from technical knowledge, skills and ability in various fields, such as education, science, culture and the arts, as well as religion, philosophy, politics and economics. As the young generation: In the 20th century, parents, teachers and society were the educators of children, and the children were always in the position of being taught. In the 21st century, adults shall learn from the wonderful qualities of children, such as their purity, innocence, radiance, wisdom and intuition, to inspire and uplift ONE another. The young generation shall play a leading role in the creation of peace for a bright future. ~ The Goi Peace Foundation ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Change Going Forward ★ ★ The veil of amnesia that WE were all born with will start to be lifted. ★ The truth about our origins will begin to filter into our consciousness. ★ The world is experiencing a massive wake up call, it is happening now. ★ WE have entered into an age where people will help others wake up. ★ WE must demand that governments start the hard process of disclosure. ★ WE must recognize the lies, such as overpopulation, inability to cure some illnesses, renewable energy are lies told for the benefit of a few and to the determent of many. ★ WE will gain entrance into communities of the universe but WE still have to prove that WE are worthy. ★ Activism through the internet will be unprecedented and unparalleled. ★ The internet will dramatically change every few years going forward. ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ WE are being called to the next stage of evolutionary history. This new era requires a change of consciousness and values—an expansion of our worldviews and ethics. The evolutionary life impulse moves us forward from viewing ourselves as isolated individuals and competing nation states to realizing our collective presence as a species with a common origin story and shared destiny. ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ "Global systems are changing, eco friendly technologies are integrating across the world, awareness and consciousness are higher than ever, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, quantum technology and interstellar travel are closer to reality than ever. Wars decrease and ideals change." ★ ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ "Many exciting developments are taking place. New paradigms are being built. hUmaNITY’s individual and collective consciousness is expanding. Ideas are being channeled into our world that will revolutionize our future. This is still just the beginning too; it’s the rebirth of an era characterized by true freedom and abundance." ★ ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ "WE are moving from an era dominated by competing nation states to ONE that is birthing a sustainable multicultural planetary civilization." ★ ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Our current paradigm encourages categorization, separation, and isolation, and it is no wonder the world is in chaos. These values divide people, and they can cause us to turn against each other. The changes taking place in the world in the name of these values are destroying us and our environment. WE are living through the dismantling of our old ways, but there is great power in times of change. Chaos is itself a catalyst for change, and it always contains great potential. WE can try to turn away or hide from the chaos, or WE can awaken our senses and our spirit and face it. When WE face chaos with a new aliveness WE can see expanded views of the universe, and this makes room for new possibilities, WE see WE can evolve out of chaos. ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ "It is time to wake up and create a new paradigm that supports and benefits the whole body of life. When WE embrace the values of unity, community, life, freedom, connection, sustainability, creativity, empowerment, choice, and integrity, WE can create a healthy and sustainable world with real social justice underpinned by democracy and human rights. ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ "The new paradigm calls for spiritual, ecological and holistic worldviews, derived from perceptions of connectedness and interdependence. There is a need to restore the balance between the masculine and feminine principles and between hUmaNITY and nature, that WE may recreate a sense of wholeness. The new era needs to use the creative power of the people by respecting the common ground of hUmaNITY, understanding the interconnectedness of all life, enhancing female and male creativity and opening the global heart of humankind. The new physics which underlies our understanding of the world shows that the universe is a biological self referential field of energy and intelligence. WE are indeed ONEness." ★ ~ Nam Myoho ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ONE Universe ~ ONE People ★ ONE of the greatest tasks hUmaNITY has faced throughout history is the establishment of peace and unity among differing and diverse peoples. Superficial, external and cultural distinctions such as gender, race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion and so forth have long divided hUmaNITY and been the cause of much warfare and social turmoil. It is only in the last 100 or so years that humans have seriously begun to explore worldwide our points of unity and begun to overcome the barriers which have separated hUmaNITY. Central to this evolutionary process has been the dynamic of at once accepting and celebrating diversity while simultaneously seeing the fundamental ONEness which all humans share. This dynamic of unity – seeing with the eye of ONEness – is the essential foundation for lasting world peace and prosperity, and will be the motivating principle of the next millennium. The long and painful process of overcoming prejudice and embracing hUmaNITY’s essential ONEness, while by no means yet complete, has brought us to the dawn of a true world-encircling commUNITY of ONE people. The recognition that mankind is ONE, that race, nationality, gender, religion and so on are secondary to our shared humanness, may well be the crowning achievement of the 20th century. But what does it mean to be human, essentially human, apart from a purely biological definition? Our deepest point of unity transcends race, culture, gender, profession, life roles, even level of intelligence or emotional make- up, since all these attributes vary widely among people. Rather, the foundation of human ONEness is consciousness itself, the ability to be conscious, self-aware, intelligent sentient beings. All other human qualities arise from this mother of all attributes. Conscious intelligence is the root essence from which all other human qualities emanate. It is the universal and fundamentally pure canvas on which the dazzling array of human life manifests. The firmest, most enduring and transcendent foundation on which human unity is based then, is consciousness itself, for WE are all sentient beings, conscious, self-aware, and intelligent. No matter how diverse two people or two cultures may be, this foundation of consciousness will enable unity to prevail, as it is the simplest yet most profound common ground which all humans share. As great as the challenges to unity have been and continue to be for humans, how much greater might this be for the emerging and embryonic relationship between humans and extraterrestrial civilizations. The superficial and cultural differences between, say, an American and a Kenyan tribesman may pale before it! If disunity and conflict arise when WE look only to the differences between humans, how much greater will the potential disunity and conflict be if WE are able only to focus on the points of difference between humans and extraterrestrial beings. The failed and disastrous ways of the past – of seeing only differences and foreign qualities – must give way to a new way of seeing, of seeing with the eye of ONEness. This eye of ONEness must be directed not only towards our fellow humans, but towards extraterrestrial people as well, for the same fundamental basis for unity which exists among humans also exists for the relationship between humans and extraterrestrials. The term extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI), so curiously nondescript, wonderfully lends itself to these concepts of unity. Regardless of planet, star system or galaxy of origin, and no matter how diverse, ETIs are, essentially, intelligent, conscious, sentient beings. Humans are essentially intelligent, conscious, sentient beings. WE are, essentially, ONE. On this basis, WE may speak of ONE people inhabiting ONE universe, just as WE now envision ONE people as children of ONE planet. Differences are always a matter of degree, but true unity established in consciousness is absolute. The beings currently visiting earth from other planets, while no doubt different from humans in both superficial and more profound ways, are nevertheless conscious intelligent beings. Consciousness is the basis for both human and extraterrestrial existence and is therefore the foundation for unity and communication between the various people of the universe. Beliefs may vary, biological processes may vary, assorted capacities may vary, social systems and technology may vary – but the simple thread of conscious intelligence which runs through all peoples elegantly weaves our unity. This essential unity is not subject to the trials of diversity, for it is pure, immutable and fundamental to the existence of intelligent life itself. The challenges of establishing unity among the peoples of the universe is a grand extension of the challenge of establishing unity and peace among the people of the Earth. Diversity, distinction and differences must be met with mutual respect, acceptance and even celebration, while the deeper foundations of unity are held steadily in view. The eye of ONEness does not exclude or reject the diversity among peoples, but relates this diversity to a paradigm of universality based in consciousness. The development of this capacity, of this kind of awareness, is the most important prerequisite for not only peace and unity among humans, but also for the peace and unity between humans and other intelligent life in the universe. WE must hope and pray that the errors and shortcomings hUmaNITY has manifested in its long and, as yet, incomplete march to world unity will serve as well-remembered lessons as WE face the task of peacefully interacting with extraterrestrial peoples. The endless diversity which so outstanding a universe can present will only be endured by minds established in the calmness of universal consciousness. In the coming decades, centuries and millennia, it will be increasingly realized that the success of hUmaNITY’s existence will be dependent on the development of consciousness more than on any outward progress. ~ Steven M. Greer, M.D. ٠•● Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ LOVE, ONE Inner Light & a New Paradigm to EveryONE ★

Gender, Culture and Language I
I study language, writing system and cultural generation. I know a quite a bit about gender'ification of languages. For Example:: Some languages, like Spanish, mandate that any and all nouns are spelled in a special way to specify it's gender. So if you want to say the word "chair" in Spanish, you have to specify if it's a female "silla" or a male "sillo". However, there is no "Sillo" in spanish, because their culture settled on chairs being female in nature.... Who? Who is this magical Spanish authority on definitions of gender in non-sexual objects? Answer: doesn't matter. English is also tough. Culturally, most English speakers have no way to address people in a gender'less manner: the only way English speakers are allowed (yes, allowed) to do it is by saying "They" or "That" or "It" or "We" or "Us" or "Me". In our culture, we have been taught that calling someone an "It" is disrespectful, because it denies person-hood. The culture is written this way as a collective (supposedly); so we all are required (yes, required) to abide by it. There's more to it:: in the great spectrum of creatures and entities throughout the cosmos, there are many species that don't have males and females. Some species have everyone as both a male and female at the same time. Some species just reproduce with themselves only. Some creatures have a wide range of sexes: like ants.... but because of the linguistic limitations imposed on our cultures, we often speak of all ants as only male or female, even though some of them really are just drones with similar gene codes to the egg layer (which makes sense, since the egg layer is the one passing out the genes) Here's the real deal:: You can define your own entire new gender. Gender is a construct for social categorization of human genitalia. Further, gender-roles are frequently abused to invoke additional roles in society, usually in an attempt to make the culture more effective at survival. The secret sauce:: You have the power to generate your own unique'r independent culture, your own language, your own way of writing and your own customized gender definition system as part of your very own personal culture. The languages of these other folks are limited because they adhere to a strict 'way of being' which is mandated upon them. This makes them consequentially incompatible with your customization. Fortunately, that doesn't matter: because your own way is YOUR way, not theirs. They just haven't learned how to free themselves from their trauma induced restrictions. And it makes sense: they were probably forced into some kinda school or household where they were intentionally laughed at for speaking in a unique manner in English class and then personally shamed about it using a grading system or beatings. *shudder* Language isn't the problem though: It's the solution. Communication, connection, interaction, relationships and love. Language embodies and promotes all of that. Cultural stagnation from trauma; that is the problem. When cultures become rigged because of some long outstanding trauma which makes them stay that way. (most often: it's because of love and loss) While I know this information doesn't stop these duffus folk from raining He's and Him's all about ya, I do hope that maybe you can find some empowerment out of the instruction: Make your own language, embody it, deploy it, Be it. Do you, make your own self. Not someone's plan or template for a self they think you should be, but instead your very own unique self that does the cool things you dream of being. You daydream because there are things you dream of that can be a reality. It's up to you to MAKE it real, if you can, if you wish. Fortunately, there's only one authority on the matter of who you get to be and what you get to make real, and that is you. Yes, YOU are the sole administrator of authority when it comes to owning your own self. "Don't believe in the me who believes in you. Don't believe in the you who believes in me. Believe in the you, who believes in your self." - Kamina (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
