Right now Loblaws, a grocery store giant in Canada, is trying to get the Ontario provincial government to change the law so they can sell weed and I cannot imagine an idea more stupid.

Businesses really have audacity constantly asking for Super Special Boi considerations and law changes especially for them for no reason whatsoever. Like to my knowledge weed stores are Like That to keep kids out of them, but even IN weed stores nothing is actually kept out front and even grinders and shit are kept in glass cases. How would this method of sale work in a fucking grocery store, exactly? Plus Loblaws makes millions and jacks their prices during record profit sales and they have the balls to ask for even more after being dragged by Canadian Congress for fucking the population seven ways to Sunday while saying forcing them to lower prices will somehow hurt the poor rather than their Precious Precious bottom line? Pure nonsense.

#winters ramblings #i keep seeing articles about this and its SUCH a stupid idea #personally i think its stupid they can sell alcohol even if its usually in a designated area #but the booze is kept out in the open and weed isn't it makes NO SENSE to sell weed in a grocery store #especially when the WAY its sold would make the sale of it WILDLY INCONVENIENT to do so #plus you now haveto canserve your employees can any of them even WORK there without a canserve?#with alcohol if you dont have a smartserve you cant serve alcohol obvs but with weed kept seperate #you obviously cant work in a weed shop without a canserve and does the presence of weeds in a GROCERY STORE #mean ALL the employees have to be canserved to BE in the store or are they more than likely asking for even MORE exceptions #by asking for ONLY employees who serve weed to be canserved?? can customers go out normal checkouts #but only with canserved employees like alcohol? questions that dont need answers because selling WEED #in the fucking GROCERY STORE is fucking RIDICULOUS
