oof, after 433 hours and 4 runs, the deed is done! some random thoughts below:

this game is my next tales of symphonia for sure. i've beaten tos at LEAST like...17 times, with each run taking me between 50-70 each, so that puts me at like...1000 hours (oh my god, 850 if we go for the lower estimate) put into that game. i still have at LEAST three more runs i'd like to do of BG3 to explore some other classes/options, and who knows, maybe one day i'll attempt that honor mode run (if i ever am able to do this then wow) and with that i'd definitely go over the 1000 hours that symphonia has a record of for my most played video game :y

that magic missile sorcerer build made tactician rather easy even for a tactical noob like me. i think sorcerer might be my favorite class now...magic missile + call of lightning as a storm sorcerer never got old. i'm sure you can do this with other builds as well but killing cazador in one turn with just my magic missiles was sooo satisfying.

my last run was a shadowheart origin run because i was curious to see how certain scenes would play out if you played as her. needless to say i wasn't really impressed with it, the only things i liked about it was getting to hear shar's brainwash before entering the shadowfell and how isobel roasts you when you meet her, but i'm pretty sure the latter would still occur if you were playing as a cleric of shar tav. so eh, i played this last run in balanced and rushed through it cus i wasn't really enjoying it...

the durge run was so damn fun even if it pained me to have to kill isobel for that trophy and also see the evil ending where you take over the brain for baahl and have to kill your beloved. that scene where i had to kill lae'zel still haunts me to this day (it was so good though not gonna lie but WHY).

i really hope i'll be able to suck it up and kill the tieflings in act 1 one day so i can recruit minthara since everyone seems to love her. i just....you expect me to kill bex??? the sweet lady who gives me some of her homemade cookies as a reward for saving her husband's life??? i was already devastated when i killed alfira in my durge run. alfira!!! like c'mon....

i don't know if i did something wrong but is there really no way for you to leave with lae'zel at the end and not like...have karlach DIE by herself??? when i romanced lae'zel i was so excited when it gave me the choice to go with her on her fight to free the githyanki so i said YES right away but then...i had no idea this would cause karlach to not have the option to go to avernus??? hello??? i had wyll become the blade of avernus but even he didn't say anything to try and convince karlach. i felt so bad cus you're like "oh yes karlach i'll bet with you until the very end :(" and then we DITCH HER TO RIDE DRAGONS with our hot githyanki gf??? i felt like such a terrible friend!!!!! like those camp post-ending interactions with lae'zel as your beloved were so good but like....no karlach!!! :(

enough rambling i love this game what more can i say!!!!!!

given that I’m average height with brown hair and eyes and pale skin I have the feeling I should be either tyrell or mormont but... I have a feeling it’d be more tyrell which saddens me a lot because while I do love dearly a few people in it that’s so not my house it’s not even funny xD

5. Who do you think will actually defeat the Night King?

I’ve been saying jon snow since 2011 I’ll stick with it xD

cersei, euron and beric (or qyburn if it doesn’t turn out that beric has died in the s7 finale)

oh god I’m shit at naming animals whatever kind they are, if I lived in westeros I’d name them robb and catelyn to avenge my poor dead faves

8. How must Ser Pounce be avenged?

if cersei killed him as per what d&d said, I’m sure ser pounce’s ghost will be on the sidelines waiting the inevitable moment of her death. or idk if ser pounce had time to have kittens/had siblings/if the others survive, jaime and brienne adopt them post cersei’s death and name one in the next generation after him

THIS IS THE FUCKING MOST UNFAIR QUESTION OF THE YEAR BECAUSE IT HAS MULTIPLE ANSWERS DEPENDING ON THE CONTEXT SO

if you mean ‘as a complete story arc with themes’s resolution and character development’ theon’s are the best hands down

if you mean ‘as the pov you see most of yourself in and actually changed your life’, then my fave are definitely brienne’s

if you mean ‘as an arc that I didn’t see myself liking at the beginning but then bought me over because that character was so well-written I couldn’t help loving every damned comma of their povs’ then catelyn (theon counts too but catelyn gdi)

if you mean as ‘your actual favorite to read/replicate in fanfic/spark immediate joy at the thought of re-reading’ then jaime hands down xD

10. Your favourite ASOIAF/GOT antagonist?

eeeeh..... given that who are and aren’t the *antagonists* in these books is the question it is I’m just gonna go with roose because he’s an a+ character, he’s tendentially sometimes relatable (ie when he facepalms at ramsay’s antics), at least he has utilitarian reasons to do what he does that I can understand if not approve of (WHY DID U HAVE TO KILL MY FAVE ROOSE), without him I wouldn’t have had the bear pit or the harrenhaal bath (xD) and he’s competent without being, like, tywin. jfc. yeah okay roose wins it xD

Precisely. Most of it's taken from the books anyway, especially the whole bit with their children, since I had a sinking feeling that the tv show would never catch up in time for us to see Max & Raphael Lightwood-Bane. Now that it might be cancelled I’m glad I wasn’t setting myself up for extreme disappointment on that end. U_U But yeah, as long as the books keep coming out, and the fanfics are still plentiful, and the fanartists stay active, I’ll have plenty of material to use in my gameplay. :) I just really want the show to keep going; it’s gotten so much better, and doesn’t deserve this at all! :( How will I live without Harry’s Magnus!?

That is such an amazing, nice thing to say, it really is. I always get worried that my followers are sitting around like wtf is Murf even doing?
