Teach me 2 (Chris Sturniolo x y/n)
Part.1 Part.3
Masterlist.
Warning: Not my edit, Smut content, don’t like it = don’t read it :)
Summary: Y/N and Chris's relationship has evolved, but Y/N insists on keeping a low profile for fear that her parents will find out she has a boyfriend.
•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•
"Wake up, honey, your dad is dropping you off today," my mom said, gently stroking my hair to wake me up.
I just hummed in response, too lazy to open my mouth and speak.
After a few seconds of tossing in bed to stretch and rub my eyes, I reached for my phone.
I smiled foolishly at my phone before getting out of bed to get ready.
My relationship with Chris had evolved since the night he climbed through my window two weeks ago. We decided to take our time; nothing was officially defined, and not many people knew about us.
Mainly because I was afraid my parents would find out I had a boyfriend. Chris didn't care; he wasn't the type to overthink, and that's precisely why I tried to keep this relationship discreet.
My parents had been quite clear in the past about boys—no boyfriends before the end of high school. According to them, it's a distraction, and they want me to focus fully on my studies, which I can understand.
On top of that, Chris is pretty much everything my parents would dislike, so it would be even worse if they found out I was dating him.
Anyway, I left my room to head to the bathroom. I took a quick shower, got dressed, brushed my teeth, styled my hair, and applied a bit of makeup.
I wanted to look a bit nicer today for Chris; I knew this lacrosse match was important for him, and I wanted to please him.
"You look very beautiful. Do you have a special event today?" my father asked as he saw me coming into the kitchen.
"Um, no, I just felt like getting ready a bit," I nervously replied before sitting at the table for breakfast.
"By the way, I'll probably be home a bit later tonight. There's an important lacrosse match, and I plan to watch it with Julia," I added nervously.
"Hm," my father looked at me strangely before returning to his phone.
I had my breakfast peacefully, and then my father and I headed to school.
My morning went by normally—nothing extraordinary. I attended classes, worked, and chatted a bit with my best friend Julia. Then lunchtime arrived.
"See you at the match!" I told Julia as I left the class to go to my locker.
I opened my locker to put away my things, and when I closed it, I was taken by surprise by Chris standing right behind me.
"Oh my god, Chris!" I said, placing my hand on my heart, thinking I was having a heart attack.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you," he said, chuckling, and I gave him a playful punch in the shoulder before laughing myself.
"You look good," he said with a smirk, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I made an effort for you today," I told him, smiling and tilting my head to the side.
"Can't wait to take off that little skirt later," he whispered in my ear, making me blush.
"Chris!" I said, clearing my throat and looking around to make sure no one had heard.
He chuckled before leaning toward me for a kiss, and instinctively, I pulled back.
He gave me a confused look. "Not here. I don't want anyone to see us," I said timidly.
"Y/n, your parents aren't going to magically appear out of nowhere and catch us kissing. We're at school," he replied, rolling his eyes and sighing.
"I know, but I don't want to take the risk of someone telling them!" I replied.
"I couldn't care less if your parents don't like me, Y/n. It annoys me that I can't kiss you whenever I want!" he said, getting frustrated.
"Chris, I know. I'm sorry. Please, stop," I said, immediately feeling guilty. "Maybe you don't care, but it's important to me. I'm not ready for them to know. I need a little more time."
He sighed, throwing his head back. "Yeah, see you at the match after school," he said before turning around and leaving.
It really bothered me that things were so complicated. It was just the beginning of our relationship, and I was terrified of ruining everything because of my parents.
The rest of the day, I wasn't really focused on anything. I couldn't stop thinking about Chris. I didn't want to hurt him, and I could sense that this situation was bothering him. I wanted to find a way to make it up to him.
After school, Julia and I headed straight to the stadium to watch Chris's match. We had seats right at the front in the stands.
"Hold this for me. I'm going to see Chris quickly before the match starts," I told my best friend, handing her my bag.
Of course, she knew about Chris and me; she was the first person to find out.
She nodded, smiling at me, and I ran toward the locker rooms. I was lucky; Chris had just come out.
I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him to a more discreet spot where no one could see us, then kissed him.
"I'm sorry for earlier," I replied, separating our lips. "I don't want our argument to distract you from your match. I'll find a solution."
"I'm not angry with you, Y/n," he said, placing his hand on my cheek. "It's just that I wish I could show everyone that you're mine."
"Shut up," I said, grabbing the collar of his shirt to kiss him. "How about you show me how much I'm yours after this match," I added, biting my lip.
"You won't have to ask me twice," he said, grabbing me by the waist, pulling me against him, and kissing me again. "Join me in the locker room after the match," he said, disconnecting our lips.
"Chris, I meant at your place or mine, not here dumbass," I said, chuckling.
"I won't wait until then. If it were up to me, I'd fuck you against this wall," he said, smiling.
"No, Chris, you're insane. We're not doing that in the locker room," I said, shaking my head.
"Okay, let's make a deal. If I score three times during this match, we do it in the locker room. Otherwise, it's up to you to decide," he said, extending his hand.
"Chris," I said, looking at him seriously, and he insisted, "Oh my god, okay fine, deal," I finally gave in, and he kissed me quickly before turning back to the others.
Even if Chris was doing pretty well in lacrosse, there was little chance he would score three times on his own. Given the level of his team, I knew this deal was already in my favor.
"Are you done making out with your secret boyfriend?" Julia said when I came back to sit next to her.
"Oh, shut up!" I said, laughing.
It was Chris's first match that I attended. I had seen him practice once or twice quickly, but I didn't expect to find it so attractive to watch him play.
I don't know if it was the brutality with which he entered the opposing team members sometimes or the moments of pause when he removed his helmet to run his hand through his hair.
Not to mention the countless times he threw me looks that, honestly, soaked my panties.
I already found Chris incredibly sexy in everyday life. Sometimes I even felt like a teenager in front of a boyband with him. This guy represented everything I found most attractive.
When he scored for the first time, I was the first to cheer and encourage him, proud to see my boyfriend contribute to his team's victory.
The second time, however, I quickly felt reality catching up with me. Had I just been fooled? I felt anxiety creeping in. If he scored one more time, it meant I was going to sleep with him in the locker room. Oh my god, what had I done?
The rest of the match, every time he approached to score, my heart skipped a beat. But when the last few minutes arrived, I started to feel reassured.
That was without counting on the fact that Chris scored one last time in the last 5 minutes of the match.
Everyone in the stands stood up to celebrate our team's victory, and I sat there for a moment when I realized what that meant. Damn.
After a few minutes of celebration, the team left the field to head to the locker room, and I received a message from Chris.
I blushed at his message.
"Everything okay?" Julia asked, putting her hand on my shoulder, making me jump and immediately turning off my phone so she wouldn't see my messages.
"Um, yeah!" I said, clearing my throat and smiling to pretend nothing was wrong.
"Okay..." she said, looking at me strangely. "Anyways, my brother is dropping me home in 5 minutes. Do you want us to drop you off on the way to your place?" she offered.
"No, thanks, Ju. I'll wait for Chris to come out of the locker room. I have something to tell him quickly," I said timidly, running my hand over my neck.
"Oh, okay. Well, see you tomorrow, Y/n," she said, smiling before leaving.
It had been about twenty minutes since I was waiting in the stands, feeling stressed and anxious.
Of course, it wasn't about sleeping with Chris; on the contrary, I wanted it. It's just that I found it quite risky, and what if someone caught us?
Anyway, I made a deal with him, and I can't back down now.
My moment of solitude was interrupted by a message from Chris, letting me know that the locker room was empty, and he was now waiting for me to join him.
I took a deep breath and stood up before starting to walk towards the locker rooms.
I passed a few people on the way and tried to act casual as I walked past them. Once in front of the locker room door, I scanned the surroundings to make sure no one saw me enter.
I opened the door and quickly entered. My heart immediately raced when the door closed behind me.
I surveyed the room to find my boyfriend, but no one was there. "Ch-Chris?" I said timidly, gradually moving forward in the room.
No response. Turning my head, I saw Chris's bag on the bench with his lacrosse jersey on it, indicating that he was indeed here. "Not funny, idiot, answer me!" I said, rolling my eyes and starting to walk towards the showers.
Suddenly, I felt hands grab my waist and press me against a wall before feeling his lips crashing onto mine, making me sigh in surprise. "Chris! Oh my god!"
"That's the second time I've scared you today," he said, smiling proudly.
"Yes, and you really need to stop doing it if you don't want me to have a heart attack!" I said, giving him a playful shove to his chest.
I took a moment to admire him; he was shirtless, his hair still damp from the shower he probably just had. "I missed you," he said, reconnecting our lips.
"I missed you too," I replied, running my hand through his hair. "I didn't think you'd manage to score three times," I said in a slightly more timid tone.
"With the right motivation, there are plenty of things I can do," he said, smiling against my lips before removing one of the straps of my top.
"Chris—" I started to say before being cut off by his lips on my neck. "I know we made a deal, but I don't think it's a good idea," I said, unable to hold back small moans escaping my mouth.
"Why?" he asked, sliding his hands over my hips. "You don't seem like you want me to stop, judging by the sounds you're making," I could feel his smile against my neck.
"I don't—" I said, interrupted by a moan when he began nibbling on my neck. "If someone catches us, Chris, I—" I said before being cut off by his hands grabbing the back of my thighs to lift me.
"Don't worry. If you stay quiet, there's no reason anyone will catch us," he said with a smirk before kissing me again, this time our kiss was deeper and more fiery.
I knew it wasn't responsible of me, but his lips on my body only led me astray from the right path. I placed one hand on his shoulder while the other tangled in his hair. "We'll have to do this quickly, though. I don't know how much time we have before the janitor comes to clean the locker rooms," he said with a hungry voice, and I simply nodded.
He led us to the bench to sit next to his bag. His hands gripped my hips, making me moan once again, and I started moving my hips against his, making him groan in return. "I fucking missed this pussy. I can't wait any longer," he said, licking his lips, and indeed, I could feel his rock-hard cock through his joggers rubbing against my panties.
He came to grasp my throat in his hand, kissing me more fiercely than before, making me moan in surprise. This time was different, less gentle than the first, but equally pleasing. I couldn't help but squirm and moan, craving to feel him inside me again. "Shhh," he said, separating our lips.
"I'm sorry, it's just that—" I began before feeling his grip on my ass strengthen.
"It's just that what?" he said with a smirk. "Don't be all shy with me ma; tell me, or I'll stop now," he added, removing his hands from my ass.
"No, don't!" I said in a heated sigh before guiding his hands back to where they were, and he smiled. "It's just that I really need you now," I said timidly, and he immediately kissed me again.
His hands left my ass to remove his joggers and boxers, lifting his hips slightly, pressing his erection even closer to me, causing another moan to escape my lips.
"Y/n, you really need to make less noise than that," he chuckled, readjusting himself.
"Sorry," I said, blushing and looking down at his sizeable member. Not to brag, but in my eyes, it was rather large, and I was afraid that without any foreplay, his entrance might be painful.
"I won't enter before stretching you a bit, baby, don't worry," he chuckled before bringing his hand between our bodies.
He slid my panties to the side before inserting a finger inside me while looking at me with his beautiful blue eyes.
I tried to stifle a moan when he immediately added a second finger, making me furrow my brows and cling to his shoulder. "You're so beautiful, y/n," he said, moving his fingers inside me.
And I couldn't help but move my hips back and forth, hoping to feel him even deeper inside me. "You're such a good girl; look at you riding my fingers like a needy slut," his words prompted another moan to escape my mouth.
His free hand came to surround his member as he started to stroke himself while watching me. "I want to do it," I said, wrapping my hand around him, and he smiled before starting to bend his fingers inside me.
I gradually quickened my hand movements around him, and he threw his head back. "N-no, Chris, look at me," I said, moaning and placing my free hand on his cheek.
"Fuck, I need to be inside of you right now," he said, removing his fingers from me to grab a condom from his bag.
In a few seconds, he opened the condom with his teeth, and I stopped stroking him so he could put it on.
He wasted no time in seizing me by the hips and aligning himself with my entrance. He took care to shift my panties to the side before applying pressure to my hips to enter in one swift motion. "Chris!" I almost screamed, burying my head in his neck.
"Sorry, I couldn't wait any longer, ma," he said, groaning and starting to guide my hips up and down.
"Oh my fuck," I said, moaning and throwing my head back.
He took advantage of the moment to bury his head in my neck and kiss me there. "Chris, I—" I said, moaning, and he quickened the movement, I gently pulled his hair. "This is so good; please don't stop."
"Y/n, someone might hear you; you need to stop moaning like that, shit-" he said, lifting his head towards me and grabbing my chin.
"I don't fucking care, Chris; it feels good. I need you to go faster, please," I said, driven solely by my desires at that moment, and he did what I asked, thrusting from below this time.
He grabbed my hips tightly and started giving me fast and deep thrusts. "Oh my god, yes, right there," I said, dropping my head forward.
"Fuck, y/n, shhh," he said, trying his best to hold back his own moans.
I felt like I had become completely dumb; the only thing I could think of at that moment was Chris inside me. The moans coming from me were out of control, so Chris pressed his hand against my mouth to prevent any sound from escaping.
"God, I wish I didn't have to cover your pretty little mouth right now," he whispered without stopping his thrusts.
My lower abdomen tightened as he began to massage my clit. My eyes rolled back, and my hand instinctively gripped Chris's throat, which seemed to shock him momentarily but didn't displease him, judging by the smile that appeared on his face.
I closed my eyes, feeling my orgasm approaching. With my other hand, I removed Chris's hand from my mouth to warn him, "Baby, I'm really close," I said, moaning.
"Me too, ma, let it go," he said through gritted teeth. I locked eyes with him, my mouth open, refraining from letting my moans escape. Chris's brows were furrowed, and he bit his lips to prevent any noise from escaping.
"Chris, oh my god!" I almost screamed, tightening my grip around his neck, letting my orgasm take over.
"Hold on a little longer; I'm almost there babe," he said, breathless, giving me animalistic thrusts before he, too, reached climax and stopped his movements completely.
I let my head fall against his chest with him still inside me, and we both began to chuckle. "I'm going to need a second shower," he said, laughing.
"Well, we don't have time. You'll take one at your place; I have to go home before my parents get worried." I told him, straightening up and placing my hands around his cheeks.
"Hmm," he simply hummed, caressing my ass and kissing me tenderly.
I stood up, readjusted my skirt and panties, while he disposed of the condom and got dressed on his end. "I'm good?" I asked, wanting him to tell me if I was disheveled or if my clothes were misplaced.
"Mhm," he said, nodding, and we both headed towards the exit.
He grabbed me by the arm to kiss me. "I love you, Chris," I said, breaking our kiss with a big smile.
"I love you, baby," he replied before I turned to open the door and stepped out.
I quickly descended from my little cloud when I opened the door and found myself face to face with Chris's coach, who crossed his arms.
"Y/f/n y/l/n! I wouldn't have expected to run into you here," he said, giving me a judgmental look before Chris came out right after. "Chris Sturniolo, what a surprise!"
I looked at Chris anxiously, hoping he could come up with a miracle solution. "Coach, it's not what you think—" he started before being interrupted.
"I don't want to hear anything. Both of you will explain yourselves to the principal tomorrow. Go home now," he responded.
Oh my god, this time I'm really in trouble...

Can you write for Tsireya that she takes the strap from Na’vi!reader because she was being a brat
Sweet girl
Bratty!Tsireya x Na'vi!Reader
summary: Tsireya just couldn't accept the fact you said no.
warnings: smut, aged up Tsireya, SLIGHT lo'ak slander, this is ass since I wrote it with writers block, grammar and spelling mistakes, strap on sex, edging (kinda brief)
word count: 1.6k
a/n: omfg this was long overdue I'm so sorry it took so long 😞
You were planning this since last week, you promised Tsireya you'd take her to the small island you found. You told her how beautiful it was, she was eager to see it.
But unfortunately, the day you were supposed to take her your mother gave you unexpected chores. Despite your protests and attempts to persuade her to let you go with Tsireya, She didn't listen to your pleas or arguments. She instead sent you on your way.
Now, that lead you here, facing a disappointed Tsireya.
She whined, looking at you with pleading eyes, "But Y/N, you promised!" You sighed, all you could do was give her an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, Reya, but my mom told me to do it now," you hoped she would understand. She whined again, her hands tugging on yours attempting to pull you to the shore.
"Can't we just go later?" You sighed, your voice had a tinge of guilt, "You know we can't, Reya. Your parents would murder me." You didn't want to risk going out so late, you feared her parent's wrath. Her disappointment was clear as she frowned.
"Can't you just make someone else do it?" She huffed, her frustration clear, "You know I can't do that." She pouted again, "Please?" She gave you those eyes. The ones that made you'd anything for her, the ones that always made you give in, the ones that you fell for her. But you refused to give in to her again. "I'm sorry, Reya, I can't," She pursed her lips, She muttered, "Fine." and stormed off. "Reya- wait!" She didn't listen.
-
You noticed Tsireya in the distance while you were picking up the food your mother sent you to get. The sudden idea to talk to her came to mind, seeing a glimpse of her made you smile. But your smile soon disappeared when you saw who she was with. Instead of that fluttery feeling in your stomach it was replaced with a sense of discomfort. It was Lo'ak, the new boy.
You don't have anything against Lo'ak, even though he's caused some trouble he's a nice guy. Even then you kept your distance from him. There was just something about him that threw you off. Well, maybe it could be the obvious crush he has on Tsireya and how everyone could tell.
That's what really got under your skin. Even if Tsireya was taken by you, he always gave her subtle looks in her way. Not to mention those compliments he'd give her almost on a daily basis. Obviously, you couldn't help the jealous feeling whenever it happens.
And it didn't help the fact Tsireya knew. Of course she knows, he isn't exactly as subtle as he thinks he is. You talked to her about Lo'aks obvious crush on her, but she always dismisses it. She Insisted that he was just a nice guy.
Unfortunately, Tsireya was using his crush on her as a way to piss you off. You couldn't help but have a tighter grip on the small basket in your hands. You watch them sitting on the sand, the blue and clear ocean right beside them. Tsireya was teaching Lo'ak how to breath longer underwater, to others it seemed like friendly lessons, but to you Tsireya was clearly making you jealous. She kept on glancing in your direction, seemingly trying to be as subtle as she can.
As you stood there, a feeling started to form within you. With a clenched jaw you tried to keep your composure. Your gaze was fixed on the two of them. The feeling of jealousy started bubble up inside you. You watched as she reaches her hand out and places it on his chest, her hand every so gently slowly going down until it stopped right above his nave. Lo'ak's breathing became faster, his tail that was once relaxed twitched behind him.
Your eyes met hers, you saw the challenge in them, she was daring you to do something, to break and give in. You obviously refused again.
You take a deep breath, trying to compose yourself. You harden your gaze at the girl, she only pouted and looked away. The slight irritation made you huff. You'll just have to talk with her later.
-
The sky slowly got darker as the day was coming to an end, the sky becoming a gorgeous shade of orange. You were so busy all day, but now you're finally free which means you can finally deal with Tsireya.
You looked for Tsireya in the village, you looked for her familiar figure. After a few minutes you found her, she was standing close with Lo'ak. She laughed at something he said, the jealous surged through you at the sight.
As you walked towards Tsireya and Lo'ak, Your pissed off behavior was obvious to others. The people you passed gave you concerned looks. You couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy and possessiveness off of you.
Finally, you reached Tsireya. You felt a sense of relief, you were finally with her. You wrapped your arm around her, holding tightly as you look at Lo'ak directly in his eyes. The sense of tension was in the air, you held her close, the feeling of possessiveness making you want to keep her closer.
Tsireya couldn't help the feeling of arousal in her, she could never admit it, but she always found it attractive when you were possessive. The way you always got defensive made her find you cute.
With a tiny hint of irritation you asked, "Reya why don't I take you home? We haven't spent time together all day." You knew you wanted to be with her alone. She looked at you for a moment before agreeing. You two left Lo'ak alone, she waved him goodbye over her shoulder.
The walk to your home was silent. The entire time you still felt the strong sense of jealousy. Your arm, that was around her shoulder, was now locked onto her hand.
The moment you were in private, the sound of the outside became muffled, quieter. You let go of her, you sighed before turning to her. "Seriously? Make me jealous?"
She crossed her arms and refused to look you in the eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about." You sighed again. Your jealousy was getting the best of you. Tsireya gasped at the sudden feeling of your hand gripping on her jaw, forcing her to look at you.
"You know I hate it when you act like a brat." She stayed quiet, biting her bottom lip knowing what was to come for her. "Get on all fours." She let out the tiniest whimper before nodding. You went across the room and moved a few things away before getting your strap. Tsireya could only watch with pure arousal as you finally come to her.
She watched over her shoulder, how you removed her clothing, a soft moan came out of her lips as you teased her entrance. You took your sweet time teasing her, it was driving her crazy.
She bucked her hips back with a whine, "Please," she pleaded quietly. You ran your hand up her back, sending shivers down her skin. Suddenly, she gasped at the sudden pleasurable sensation of you deep inside her.
Tsireya couldn't control her moans, not when you didn't give her time to adjust. With a tight grip on her hips, you fucked her harder by the second. She tried her best to keep quiet, biting her lip hoping it could muffle her moans.
She truly is a beautiful sight, her panting form, her arched back, her struggling to keep up with you. "My pretty girl," A low moan from the girl came in response, "I bet you enjoyed that little show you put up, making me jealous with that fucking forest boy." It came out as a growl, the memory making your blood boil.
You scoffed, you tighten your grip on her hips. You were sure it would bruise. With certain thrust you had her rolling her eyes to the back of her head. You hummed in pleasure, making sure to thrust into that exact spot. "R-Right there! Oh-" she was a babbling mess, it's adorable. "Y/N, Y/N, Y/N," she was close, the way she clenched around you told you enough.
The moment she was about to come you stopped moving. She gasped, her one teary eyes now full on crying. "Please," ignoring her please you caress the small of her back. She was sensitive, your touch made her back arch. Another plead came from her soft lips. She attempted to grind on your strap, but she couldn't move, not with the way you were holding her hips.
"Let me cum please." She whispered, you were thrusting to far slow. "I don't know Reya, after that little show you put up I don't think you deserve it." At this point she was getting desperate. You've been teasing her for what felt hours. "Please, I won't flirt with him again! I won't even talk to him ever I promise!" At her desperate begging you let out a little laugh in satisfaction.
She was so easy.
"Just please let me cum-" She moaned in relief, you were finally fucking her the way wants. She was loud, you weren't sure if others could hear her. But truthfully you couldn't care. A few hard thrust, and she was trembling, "I-I'm gonna cum, please can I cum?" You couldn't help but furrow your eyebrows. She was already this close?
"Already?" You teased, Tsireya groaned, she was so close. "Please!" She practically cried out. Finally, you gave permission, moaning out your name she came. Her body trembled, her hands now fists, her hair was a mess, but she couldn't care less.
Tsireya flinched, you started moving again. She looked back at you in confusion, you laughed. "Sweetheart, you really think im done?" Her eyes widen, she was in for a long night.

Warnings: Mentions of death, mentions of losing mother, arguing, twd warnings (angst -> to fluff)
Synopsis; Going through a loss, Carl tries his best to help. Even through argument and grief.
Running off on your own was always a bad idea— but after a fight with Carl you hadn't even thought about safety.
He'd argued that you were to unstable for runs, having lost your mom a week earlier you'd become distant, and sometimes insensitive.
You'd told off anyone who'd tried to help you grieve, and on your last run you'd thrown yourself into a hoard out of anger— though you'd been lucky to have taken them on without being bit.
As soon as Daryl had warned Carl of your actions, he'd been on your case. Insisting you take time to grieve, rather than going on runs.
"You can't go out like this, you'll come back dead." He lectured, frustrated and fearful for your safety, "You're being reckless, and stupid."
"I don't give a damn, Carl." You shouted, "You aren't my babysitter, just leave me be."
"Everyone's worried about you, Daryl, Daryl of all people was the one who told me. Daryl's worried."
"I don't care Carl, if I want to go for runs I go for runs. You aren't my dad." You faltered at your own words, thinking of your father whom you'd lost.
Carl paused for a moment, sighing, "Listen, I came to talk to you because my dad's restricting you. He wants someone's eye on you all the time, figured it was best I gave you the option to agree."
"I'm not a child, I don't need that." You stood from your seat, at the kitchen table— frustrated. Carl looked up, watching you.
"Y/n this is because we care, not because we don't trust you—"
"Yeah, sure seems like it. You all blame me, for what happened, god knows I do too. But that doesn't mean I want to risk more lives by being replaced on runs."
You shook your head, looking to the door, "What I'm trying to say is— maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I was next."
"Don't say that." He said sternly, now realizing how serious the situation was, "This is Bullshit. Y/n you need to get your head out of your ass and realize what's going on—
— you almost died last night, because you got upset. You almost got multiple people killed because you can't control yourself."
You looked at him, his words setting in like salt to a wound. It stung, hearing someone you loved so much say something so blunt.
You can't control yourself. It rang through your mind, hanging in the air as realization hit him. Though, he was far to stubborn to admit it. Not until he had time to cool down.
"Control.. myself?" You looked at him, your sadness turning to anger quickly. "Control? You have never once been reprimanded for anything you've done—
— How would you know how I feel? You could commit anything you wanted and it'd be covered up wouldn't it?" You shouted, the tears forming.
"Covered up? Is that what you think of me?" His voice raised, looking at you, "You don't get to dictate how I've grieved, that's not what this is about!"
"Fuck you, Carl. Fuck you, and your stupid ego. You don't get to dictate my grieving either. And I won't let you."
Before he could respond, you were out the door— and here you were back at the beginning.
You fell against a tree, everything setting in finally. You'd just ran from the help you needed, yelled at the opportunity to have such help, and most importantly you'd just lost your mom.
Everything you'd burried inside yourself shone now, in the woods late at night. Your body shook with sobs, your tears fading as you ran out.
Who knew how long you'd been crying, how long you'd been out there, how long everyone may have looked for you.
But, your loud sobs were sure to attract some sort of reaction from the world. And soon you found the noises of a biter crawling closer.
You reached for a rock, wiping your nose weakly. The undead figure appeared in front of you, lurching forward, knocking you flat against the tree as you smashed the rock over it's head.
You were sure you'd earned wounds from such, on your back from the sharp edges of the tree, on your hand from the force of the rock, but you far from cared.
All that mattered to you now was letting it all out— you smashed the rock over the biters head, though it was long dead. You sobbed over the rotting corpse, weakly crying out when ever the rock made contact.
You felt cold hands take your wrists, pulling you from the corpse as you dropped the rock. Carl pulled you into his arms, glad to find you safe— though his heart broke for your state.
He didn't take you home, not yet, he just let you sob. Doing his best to keep you warm as you did so, no words truly needed to explain your feelings.
He rubbed circles into your back, pressing a kiss to your forehead as you slowly soothed— you only acknowledging him when you'd finally calmed down.
"I'm sorry.." You whispered, leaning further into him, "I didn't mean it— any if it I didn't..I didn't. I want to live, I mean it, I do. I don't think you grieve wrong.. you're so—"
"Shhh, I know. I know." He hummed, his hands still running circles into your back. "Let's get you back, you need to lay down."
He helped you up, his arm never unwrapping from you as he guided you back to Alexandria, walking passed people who'd been wondering where you were— where you'd gone.
He gave them nods, assuring you were fine, never once pausing to talk to anyone. He finally stopped when he'd reached your room, gesturing for you to sit on the bed.
He kneeled in front of you— you on the bed, him on the floor. "Are you hurt any? Any more than this.." He asked, examining your beat up hands, holding them in his.
"My uh.. back a little. Damn biter got me against a tree." You watched as his face contoured with worry, fearing you'd been bitten, "He didn't get me, no bites."
He gave a relieved look, "I'll clean you up. Then you can sleep, as long as you want." He guaranteed, standing up and taking off to fetch things for your wounds.
You pulled your shirt off, giving access to your back when he came back. Whilst waiting you glared around your room, everything seemed to remind you of her— your mom.
It hurt so much that you didn't feel the aching in your body, the soreness in your throat, every thought was simply of her.
You blamed yourself, you were on the run with her, and now she was gone. You'd all split up and by the time you'd reached her once more, she was gone— turning.
Carl returned, snapping you from your thoughts. He adjusted himself behind you on the bed, pressing a cloth to the fresh cuts on your shoulder blades, apologizing everytime you winced.
"It gets better." He promised, from behind you, "It never heals, but it gets better. You think about the bad less. Miss the good more."
"What do you remember about her..?" You whispered, listening to the sincerity in his voice. He began bandaging your back as he proceeded—
— "As much as I can, I think of her a lot." He admitted, "She told me I'd beat this world, I try to make it true for her."
"She told me to be good to you."
"What?" He pulled from the bandages, to look at you.
"She did, my mom. Told me her biggest regret was losing my dad— how she treated him before."
Carl didn't respond, fixing the placement of the bandages before kissing your shoulder, "The last thing your mom told me was to look after you. I don't think she knew how or when— but.. i think she knew she was going."
"She'd come to terms with it, is what I mean." he finished.
You nodded, looking down at your hands, "I think I'm ready to sleep now."
He smiled, pulling the basket from the bed, "Lay down, I'll get your hands then you can sleep." You nodded, laying down on your side, you hands spralled in front of you off the bedside.
Once he'd finished, he discarded the basket on the floor, turning off the light and laying on his side to your right— wrapping his arms around you.
You put your hands on his, your intertwined hands resting on your lower stomach. He leaned into your back, head resting in between your exposed shoulder blades.
"I love you." He whispered, promising; "I'll do whatever I can to help."
"I love you too." You squeezed his hand, before fading into sleep.

The Giant (15/16)
***Contains violence***
------Chapter 15------
I knew Chester had a point, of course. If I was going to stay, I had to learn to live around other giants, especially Chester's family. I didn't want his parents springing a surprise visit on us, much like the incident that occurred with Jasper. However, Jasper had no prejudice against humans, and he had only ingested me by accident after all. He had been cordial and friendly once everything had been explained. I couldn't expect the same courtesy from Chester's parents, apparently. They might even intentionally harm me. The thought terrified me.
I would prefer to be introduced to them on our terms, when we were ready. I suggested to Chester that if this was really what he wanted, he needed to break the news to them and arrange to meet up once they had processed the new information. Perhaps, by giving them some time, they might cool off and accept his decision to date a human before I had to actually come in contact with them. Chester agreed, but I noticed he was dragging his feet in regards to actually talking to them. At first, I didn't pressure him, since I wasn't too keen on meeting them myself. His procrastination, however, started to concern me. Was he that afraid of telling his parents?
"Chester? Are you going to call your parents and tell them?" I nagged. He was typing on his computer. He had been working on his writing while avoiding the issue at hand.
He closed his eyes and rubbed his temple with one hand. "Maybe this whole thing was a bad idea. I don't want to put your safety at risk." He regarded me forlornly. "I just... want us all to be a family together. I want you in my life completely, I don't want to have to hide you from my relatives like I'm ashamed of you."
"I feel the same way Chester," I agreed softly. "You don't have to worry about me, I can defend myself with my magic if need be. And of course I'll have you to protect me too."
"You... really mean that Jackie?" Chester inquired. He laid his chin on the desk so his face was closer to me. I could just barely reach his lower lip with my hand if I raised my arm. I kissed him where I could, on his chin.
"Of course," I answered.
"Alright. I'll go call them then." He grasped me in his hand and walked over to his phone, a landline on the side table in the living room. Giants didn't have cell phones apparently. I had noticed previously their technology wasn't quite as advanced as ours. He sat down on the couch and placed me in his lap. He picked up the phone and paused. Taking a deep breath, he dialed the phone number and waited. I could hear the phone ringing on the other side through the speaker. A click as someone picked up the call.
"Hello?" a deep baritone voice spoke. The voice alone sent a chill up my spine.
"H-hi Dad," Chester began, tripping over his words a bit.
"Chester," the deep voice said flatly. "Now this is unexpected. Haven't heard from you in a while."
"R-right. Sorry Dad, I've been... busy." An awkward pause. Why was Chester so intimidated by his father?
"What's this about, boy? Speak up." There was an edge of irritation in the remark.
Chester was starting to sweat. "Well Dad... I wanted to introduce you and Mom to someone. A girl I'm dating."
"Mmmm... it's about time Chester. You've been single too long. We can't let our bloodline die because of useless sons."
Chester reddened. "Um... about that... the thing is..." He was getting tongue-tied.
The voice on the phone huffed with impatience. "Whatever you want to say, just tell me tomorrow. You can bring the little lady by to our house for supper. I'll have your mother prepare a nice meal."
"Wait Dad-" Chester tried to speak up, but his father had already hung up the phone. Chester stared down at the phone in his hand as the dial tone hummed. He placed the phone back in the holder, still staring off into space where the phone had been. He remained frozen for a minute before crying out in frustration and burying his head in his hands.
"Goddammit!" he cursed. "Why can't I ever get through to him?" He ran his hands through his hair, exasperated. "What are we going to do now? We're in so much trouble!"
"Can you call him back?" I questioned. Chester's anguish was scaring me. I hadn't expected him to have this much trouble talking to his dad.
"Even if I do, I don't know if I'll have the courage to tell him," Chester confessed. "He's going to kill me. He's going to kill both of us."
"Calm down Chester, you're his son. It can't be that bad." I was trying to assure myself as much as him at this point.
"You don't understand. My dad is... scary." Chester blanched. "He's huge, even by giant standards. And he has a monstrous temper. He's a violent man." Wide-eyed with horror, I could only look up at Chester. "When Jasper and I were young, he would beat us for the most trivial things we did wrong. He was always disappointed in us for taking after our mother. She's smaller than him, and we turned out small too."
I tried to imagine Chester, the gargantuan giant I knew so well, as small, and I simply couldn't. "Can we just not go?"
"No," he grunted. "If we don't go, he'll get suspicious. He's going to find out either way."
I tried to think. "What about Jasper? Maybe he could convey the message if you're too anxious. We could at least invite him to come with us. For moral support." Chester ruminated on the idea and nodded. He picked up the phone again and called his brother this time.
"Hey there ol' Chestnut, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Jasper, as always, was loud and cheery.
"I've made a terrible mistake Jasper. I've invited myself to our parent's house tomorrow for dinner. With Jackie."
Jasper audibly gasped into the phone. "Why in the world did you do that? Do they know she's a human?"
"That's the thing. I couldn't bring myself to tell them. Do you think... you could call them up?"
There was a long pause. "I'll try."
"Call me back when you're done." Chester hung up. "And now we wait." He caressed me affectionately with his fingers while we idled. Neither of us spoke. We simply took solace in each other's company.
"I suppose this was going to happen sooner or later," I mumbled.
"Yeah," Chester agreed. "It would be much worse for them to drop in unannounced and find you here." I quaked at the thought. Chester closed his fingers around me and petted my back with his index finger. The phone rang and Chester seized it on the first ring.
"Well?" he asked expectantly.
"Well. I talked to Dad." A dramatic pause. "I told him that I went to your house, and met your girlfriend."
"And?"
"And... I told him she was nice."
"And?!"
"And pretty. And brave. And that she's a good match for you."
Chester groaned. "So you didn't tell him."
"Nope," Jasper admitted. "Sorry brother. I tried, I really did."
"Will you at least come to dinner tomorrow with us?"
Jasper exhaled. "Alright. I'll meet you at your house."
"Thanks brother." Chester set the phone back in its cradle and looked down at me in his lap. "We should probably get some rest. It's going to be a rough day tomorrow."
In preparation for the dinner, I used my blood magic to create as much human meat as I could, to placate the hungry giants and maybe prevent them from trying to consume me. I performed this labor the prior day, so I would be well-rested for the big event. I had a strong feeling I would need my lightning to protect myself. I was not going to allow myself to be eaten again if I could help it. I was done with being defenseless.
As the time drew near, Chester became inconsolable with stress. He couldn't remain still for long and would get up out of his chair and pace the room, fussing over everything. He was driving me crazy, since his constant worry was stressing me out too. Fortunately, Jasper's arrival helped ease the tension. Jasper was always a positive guy, and having a strong ally by his side seemed to calm Chester down.
When we were all ready to go, we got into Chester's car and drove to their parents' house. I rode on Chester's shoulder, leaning on his neck, and I could feel the tautness of his muscles as he moved. Though we mostly rode in silence, I tried my best to comfort Chester by massaging his shoulder and neck with my hands.
I was surprised to see that Chester's parents lived on a large estate, not an ordinary house. As we pulled in through the gates of the property, I spotted from my vantage point on Chester's shoulder fields of wheat, cattle and horses, and an artificial lake that was no doubt stocked with fish. Their domicile was a large, lavish mansion built with stone, like an old castle. Chester nudged me off his shoulder into his hand and stepped out of the car. Jasper hesitantly followed behind him as he walked up the stone steps to the front door.
I noticed with some trepidation that the door was very tall, even for a giant. Chester reached up with his free hand and grabbed the iron knocker on the door, slamming it a couple times against the wood with a crash. Heavy footsteps approached from inside the castle that rumbled the ground. I gulped and sank down lower in Chester's huge hand. He held me securely against his torso, ready for anything.
The door opened to reveal the most gigantic man I had ever seen in my life. I quickly put my hands over my mouth to muffle a cry of terror. Chester, standing at his full height, barely came up to the giant's chest. Not only was he tall, but also broad and beefy, massive in every way. He was hairy, too, with a fearsome beard and long hair. Oddly enough, he had an eyepatch over one eye, with a long scar that ran from his forehead, under the patch, to halfway down his cheek. I felt like a tiny bug as he towered like a skyscraper over me, indeed over us all, a giant amongst giants.
"What is this? Where's the woman?" the giant boomed in his bass voice. Chester and Jasper stared dumbly up at their father, unable to speak. The colossus's eye drifted downward to me and I had to use all my willpower not to duck and hide under his gaze. His eye narrowed darkly. "Why did you bring a human here? Is it for dinner? Your mom already cooked something."
Chester opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again, and managed to say, almost in a whisper, "that's... my girlfriend."
We all stood motionless, as if frozen in time. The words stuck in the air like a thick cloud. Chester's father didn't react right away, almost as if he couldn't understand what he just heard. As the news slowly dawned on him, his face evinced disbelief, then twisted into murderous rage. He turned red, almost purple, and his visible eye grew white-hot with uncontrollable wrath. His huge hands balled into iron fists.
"WHAT?!" he exploded. His voice was deafening, and we all flinched in response. His eye burned into me, then glared with the full force of its heat at Chester, who looked as if he wanted to disappear into the floor. He raised his fist and punched Chester in the side of his head, knocking him out cold. Chester fell back and his brother caught him before he hit the pavement. As Chester's arms went limp, I tumbled out of the safety of his hand and landed on his belly. His dad slammed the door in our faces and I could hear and feel him stomp away in his dwelling, cursing loudly.
"Well. That went about as well as expected," Jasper commented. He carefully laid his brother flat on his back on the porch. "I'll go inside and try to reason with him. Jaclyn, it would probably be best for you to stay out here." I couldn't have agreed more. Jasper stood up, collected himself, and went inside.
I sat down on my boyfriend's chest and waited, trying not to succumb to the dreadful fear growing inside me. From inside the mansion, I could hear a lot of screaming and banging around. While I wasn't able to hear the specific words, I doubted much progress was being made. The deep baritone of his father's voice shook the walls. I heard Jasper's familiar loud mouth yelling, and a woman's voice too, calmer but stern. After she spoke, the other two went silent. They started talking again, but not as aggressively as before.
Chester moaned softly as he regained consciousness. He brought his hand up to his aching head, where a purple bruise was starting to form. He tried to get up, but dropped back down as he was overcome by dizziness.
"Chester, are you alright?" I asked. He gripped me in his hand and pulled himself into a sitting position, still holding his head.
"Yeah," he muttered. "I'm sorry Jackie. I knew this was going to be a disaster."
"It's okay," I responded gently. Just then, Jasper came back outside, nursing a bruise of his own on his shoulder.
"You can come in now. Mom's cooled him off a bit," Jasper said through clenched teeth. Chester glanced at me, and in spite of how frightened I was, I gave him a determined nod. We had already come this far. No turning back now.
"Alright." Chester stumbled to his feet, inhaled deeply, and stepped inside. We entered a big fancy foyer, and Chester took a right into a living room with elaborate couches. A woman came up to him, obviously his mother. Although she was of course huge to me, she was delicate and petite for a giantess, shorter than Chester. She was very different than the father, physically his polar opposite. I understood what Chester meant now about taking after his mother, in regards to size, although he still mirrored the masculine qualities of his father. She had light green eyes and long, light brown hair. Every move she made exuded grace and femininity. Her hands floated when they moved and her feet seemed to glide.
She stopped when she saw me. She stared at me coldly, clearly not approving of Chester's choice of a mate. I didn't know what to do, except stare back at her. I felt so small. Not just in the literal sense, but like I was an inferior person, as if I didn't deserve to exist.
Chester, in an effort to reduce the tension, cleared his throat and interjected, "Mom, I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, Jaclyn. Jackie, this is my mother Gwen."
I swallowed the lump in my throat and stammered out, "it's nice to m-meet you... Gwen."
She sighed, then replied, "nice to meet you too. I just wish it weren't under these circumstances." I was stung by her words, which seemed to imply I wasn't good enough for her son.
To my surprise, Chester spoke up in my defense, with quite a harsh response. "Mother, you're being rude. I love her. If you can't respect that we are going to leave now."
His mom raised her eyebrows in shock. I suddenly realized Chester's father had materialized in the doorway on the other side of the room, and had been listening to our conversation the whole time. I felt nauseous. He strode over with his massive bulk, still seething beneath the surface.
"You really mean that?" he inquired, his deep voice resonating through the room. His presence filled the space with a threatening aura that loomed over us.
Chester stood his ground. "Yes. With all my heart."
His dad reached out his hand. "Let me see her." Chester and I both turned white. "I won't harm her. Give her to me," he demanded, thrusting his hand forward again. Chester looked at me for permission. Inside, I was crying with fright, but now was not the time to show weakness. I stood tall and proud and prepared myself the best I could. Chester, with trepidation, handed me over to his father. I stepped into his father's gargantuan hand, walked to the center of his palm, and got down on my knees for stability.
His hand was rough and calloused, and made even Chester's huge hand look miniature. From my perspective, his hand was like a landscape of warm skin, with massive fingers curving above my head. If I angered him, he could easily close those fingers around me and squeeze the life out of me. I was prepared for pain and rough handling, but to my surprise he was gentle, making sure to move slowly when lifting me up to his face. I had the feeling he had handled humans before, and maybe didn't always crush them in his hands.
He glared at me with his good eye, and I stared back, unwavering. I knew a man like him would respect strength, not cowardice, so I fought the urge to cower and turn away. I wasn't able to stop my body from shaking, however. When the giant saw my hardened, determined face, he couldn't help but chuckle at me, the tiny creature in the palm of his hand trying so hard to be brave. This reaction was the last thing I was expecting and broke my concentration.
"Do you know why I hate humans?" Chester's dad questioned me, becoming serious. I knew if I spoke my voice would tremble, so I simply shook my head. "They took my eye from me," he continued, pointing to his eyepatch, "and they took my home away. What do you think about that?" He scowled and I could tell his temper was flaring up again.
I wasn't sure how to answer, but I realized he was testing me. I was also painfully aware of how miniscule I was, that he literally held my life in his hand, and could turn me into a lifeless corpse with a simple flex of his fingers. So I chose my words very, very carefully.
"I'm sorry that happened to you," I acknowledged, "and it's tragic the way things turned out. My hope is that giants and humans could live together in harmony. I'm in love with your son, and I want to stay with him here, in the Land of Giants." I gazed into the dark pool of his eye with intensity. He stared back, as if trying to see through me, into the depths of my soul. His sharp features softened. With a grunt, he handed me back over to Chester, who immediately cupped me in his hands to his chest. Hidden by his fingers, I permitted myself to shudder and gripped his shirt tightly, feeling the warmth of his titanic chest against my body. In response, Chester tightened his grip around me protectively.
"Let's eat dinner," his dad declared, lumbering out of the room. Everyone followed him into the dining room and his mom hastily began setting out the food on the immense wooden table. Chester and Jasper sat on one side, strategically placing me in between them, and their parents sat together on the other side. Chester's mom had set the table for five, naturally assuming that the new girlfriend was a giantess, so the chair and plate at the head of the table sat empty. I had brought with me my own eating utensils and dishes, appropriate to my size, that my parents had gifted to me during my short stay in the human realm.
His mother had made a fantastic feast of ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Chester served me up, cutting out small pieces of his own dinner and placing them on my plate. While I tried to act normal, I must confess I was both scared and nauseated, eating dinner with four colossal, ravenous giants. Just like Chester, they all had voracious appetites, shoveling truckloads of food into their bellies, with the exception of Chester's mom who ate with manners and poise. I half expected one of them to grab me off the table while I wasn't looking and stuff me inside their mouth.
Conversation was stilted and superficial, with Jasper doing most of the talking. I was quiet, only speaking when directly spoken to, and mostly to the two brothers whom I was more comfortable with. Every once in a while I caught Chester's father staring at me, and I met his gaze with determination. However, he wasn't as belligerent as he had been in the beginning, and he appeared to be looking more out of curiosity than malice. He was starting to come to terms with the inescapable reality that his son was dating a measly human. The mom snuck a glance at me a few times as well, and even rewarded me with a small smile when my eyes met hers.
Chester offered his family the human meat I had created with my blood magic. They all eyed me with interest, surprised by this new development, and sampled the succulent flesh. Unlike Chester, none of them had eaten any humans recently, and they savored the meat on their tongues. I had managed yesterday to manifest about three pieces per giant, so they each had multiple morsels to enjoy. They looked at me with newfound admiration, enough to make me uncomfortable, as their mouths were watering with desire. When asked, I demonstrated my magical ability, creating a few small chunks of meat that were greedily gulped down.
Overall, the dinner was a little awkward, but not too bad. Certainly better than anything I had expected from our first encounter. With time, I believed his parents might even warm up to me and accept our relationship together. We left in high spirits. Jasper took the wheel, and chatted and laughed the whole drive home. Chester held me in his huge lap, caressing me with his hands. I was relieved the ordeal was over, and sat content in the large soft hands of my giant boyfriend.

Wishing I had it in me to beg for support/help but I keep telling myself I don't deserve it. Also just don't have it in me to beg rn...
I'm about to vent about some shit so read at your own risk. This guy who fantasizes about me as his (and concerningly makes decisions based on these fantasies) is the only person irl reaching out rn and his obvious advancements/self-centered motives kind of... makes it hard to call him the friend he claims to be to me
I told him not to help me if it's just to coerce me into being his gf or for sex, he said it's not like that by insisting that he genuinely cares 🙄 then he gets all pouty and passive aggressive when I don't let him do whatever the hell he wants to me.
I don't want to be rude whenever uncool things happen so I just act chill while sternly and irritatedly saying stop most of the time. He justs asks "Why huh?" in a clearly frustrated way, repeatedly. He'll insist I look like I like it so my answer ("BECAUSE.") somehow isn't reason enough for his ill logic. Despite my disapproving face and me saying "stop" and "no!" and "don't make me grab a fly swatter". Kind of disgustingly disrespectful if that's how you'd treat the person you wish would be your wife.
I was so guilty when I was homeless and I was so desperate for a place to shower that I RELUCTANTLY and CONDITIONALLY accepted his help and came over to his house knowing how he felt. His mom yelled at me for not having sex with him or dating him and being a "bad woman" (LITERALLY I get I hurt her sons feelings by not fucking him and he probably cried about it but LITERALLY OMG) the morning after I had spent the night... and he didn't even TRY stop her, he just watched... He let her falsely imprison me to further verbally abuse me when I tried to leave and didn't help when I pointed it out.
I still accepted his offer for a hotel after. A lot of this was out of desperation. Could you imagine having sex with somebody purely because you felt unspoken obligation/pressure/expectation? I don't even like letting him steal kisses from me. I say let him like I allowed it but the only thing I let him do is live afterwards. He doesn't give a fuck about me as a human being.
He's asking if he can take me to see Barbie now and is so persistent. I would honestly love to see it but I've been depressed all day. I haven't eaten. Haven't showered or managed to brush my teeth. No water. My dried blood is still underneath my nails from nervously digging throughout a difficult day. He knows this. He doesn't care...
He just wants to offer me a pink shake to share so that he can fantasize about me being his gf and take pics. A real friend would just get me my own damn shake and fries and we'd be fine with or without Barbie.
I suspect that he just wants to touch me in the middle of the theater. I can't say this for a fact but I know that's what he always talks about when it comes to him wanting to watch a movie.... And he never keeps his hands to himself at least with me... Barbie is supposed to heal my inner child!!!! He knows how badly I wanted to see Barbie and feel Kenough. He knows I wouldn't leave in the middle of it, not even to pee. Now I just feel like he's dangling what he knows I won't have otherwise so that he can use it as an excuse for a "date" even though he's fucking fantasizing it because it's literally NOT a date.
I don't want him to ruin Barbie. I'm just sad.
#i asked what he refers to me as out of curiosity when talking about me to his friends#he said girlfriend with a space#then asked if he could make the space any smaller 🤮#like dude I'm a man in cosplay basically and I'm sorry you fell for it but pls 🤮 stop dreaming 🤮#he fucking deadnames me.#I'm so sad and him messaging trying to have a date sucks#i told him i just wish i had a great dad and he talks about how he will be older like 🤮 noooo not you 🤮#i literally just wish i had a fckn dad...#a good one ya know?#vent#I'm very clear that i don't like him like that and I'm not interested whatsoever#i can go without Barbie for a while

Wakingdeath Alchemist CH. 2 (FMA FF) (2012) (Age 13/14) [Posted to wattpad]
Chapter 2
I ran as far as I could and as fast as I possibly could go. The farther I went the more sulky I got about the whole situation. I had murdered two guys, got my mom taken away, sliced off the cook's hand, confessed to being a killer, and just ran like a criminal did.
Once I thought I was far enough and couldn't move anymore, I stopped and dropped to my knees breathing hard and almost coughing myself to death.
"I g-guess I should have b-brought water. That would h-have been smart." I coughed and looked at Kuagra who meowed in agreement. I sat with my legs crossed on the grass and wiped sweat from my face. "We have to find Alphonse sooner or later. But first we need a map to find the dang place." I took a couple more deep breaths before I stood up straight and stretched reaching for the sky.
The sky was beautiful. I had forgotten how the sun made the clouds look as it was slowly sinking to the other side of the world. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and raised my arms soaking in the good and excreting the bad. I was trying to find peace in my mind.
On my last deep breath I opened my eyes and lowered my arms slowly.
"Well Kuagra. It's just you and me for a while. But of course you're going to have to catch us dinner." I winked at her and she scowled like she was not amused. "Well, how else are we going to live silly?" She snuffed and followed me while I walked forward. "Once we get into a different town, we'll ask for a map or at least directions for Resembool."
We walked through the forest finding some trouble with larger animals like the old times but we approached these problems differently. With what had happened, I didn't want to risk our lives and I didn't want to kill again that day. I had to call off Kuagra and we ran for it like cowards. We did eventually catch dinner...well found. There was a useful apple tree in the middle of the forest telling me that we were near the edge.
We stopped to eat under the tree and rest while I talked to her about our past memories and how fun we had taking on new quests and battles. Kuagra was in my lap nibbling on her apple.
"We should probably go now. You done with that apple?" I asked and she meowed in response. "Okay, I guess we'll go n-" A twig not too far away from us snapped and caught my attention. "What was that?" I whispered looking around.
After a couple minuets with nothing moving, I stood up and stretched again. "Well it must be my imagination. We did go through a lot didn't we? We should probably find a nice dry and safe place to sleep for the night. It looks like its going to rain. Come on Kuagra." I smiled as I noticed dark clouds gathering just above us and walked on seeing the hesitation in my snow leopard's steps. "What is it girl?" I asked and I heard a deep grumbling sound come from her chest. "Don't scare me like that. What is it?" I asked with stress, anxiety, and fear.
I looked all around me but could see nothing that didn't belong because it was getting darker.
She bolted forward into the bushes. A lot of rustling went around but a yell came out of nowhere. "Hey!"
I ran in the direction where Kuagra disappeared. I separated the bushes and found Kuagra on top of a boy who was struggling to get her off of him.
"Ferdinand!?" I yelled.
"Get this thing off of me!" he breathed and I hesitated.
"Kuagra, you heard him. Off...now." She sensed the seriousness in my voice and softly stepped off of him with a whimper.
"What are you doing here?" I demanded.
"Before you go all crazy on me...I've always been here." My mouth and eyes dropped.
"What?" I demanded again. "You mean you have been following me?!" I screamed making him wince.
"What else do you expect me to do? You just ran off!" He stood up and brushed himself off glaring at Kuagra who was growling at him while baring her teeth.
"After all these years of ignoring me, you chose this time to-" I let out a frustrated sigh and turned around stomping away.
"Wait! I can explain!" he shouted after me.
"I don't need an explanation because you're going to stop following me!"
I walked on not hearing anything from him. I hope I didn't make him feel bad, I thought and went to turn around but he wasn't there. "Good." I said to myself and turned around to where I was originally heading to. I jumped back and gasped because Ferdinand was right in front of me.
"Good what?" he asked curiously. I sighed frustrated and punched him down in the face.
"Oww! What was that for!?" he shouted standing up and rubbing his cheek.
"You scared me you idiot!" I kicked his ankles making him fall again. "Come on Kuagra." I said and started running again but Ferdinand caught my ankles and tripped me. I slammed on the grass drizzled in fallen leaves and had my arms to cushion my forehead.
I coughed wiping my nose and stood up staring up at him. He was a year or two older than me so yes he was taller and much stronger.
"Why aren't you scared of me like everyone else was?" I asked skeptically.
"I know you a lot better than everyone else."
"Then why did you stop being my friend?" I seethed.
"It wasn't my fault! My mom said I couldn't play with you anymore," he pouted.
"I can't get rid of you can I?" I sighed putting my fists on my hip and shaking my head. "Nope." He rocked on his heels and smiled. "Fine. But you listen to MY rules and do as I say when I say it or I'm going to ditch you." I pointed my thumb at my chest and he sighed like I was hopeless. "Come on, we have to find shelter for the night," I said and started walking ahead. "Kuagra, don't eat him while we're sleeping," I said causing a frightened expression to pop up on his face making me laugh on the inside but stay serious on the outside. Him staying with me was no laughing matter.
We ended up finding an old dusty shack just on the outskirts of a town that I had never ventured so far before to find. It smelled of old people and we all kept sneezing but it was better than nothing.
"Okay, find a corner and stay there. Ferdinand, I want you far away from me as possible. Got it?" I said strictly. He laughed nervously and nodded. "Good. Lights out."
I had found some old dusty rugs to sleep on instead of the hard ground, but it was still was hard to sleep.
"Is it true?" I heard him say from the other side of the room.
"Is what true?" I asked with very little patience.
"That you're going to learn Alchemy?"
"Yes. There's nothing wrong with it. It's going to help me find my mom."
"How?"
I sighed, my patience decreasing even more. "I haven't figured that out yet. I just know it will. Now will you be quiet and go to sleep?"
"Okay. Sorry."
In the morning we all had our stretching session before sneaking out of the old shack leaving nothing but broken wood, spiders, and a whole lot of dust that had all of us sneezing.
About thirty minutes of walking later, we entered this lively town. It was filled with busy people, smiling, and conversing to other people. It was just a little bit too cheery for me...
About five minuets later, we passed this bakery and the smell coming from the open windows was amazing. I groaned and held my stomach imagining my stomach biting my hand off just then. I shuddered.
"Ferdinand, you don't happen to have money with you do you?" I asked tiredly.
"Uh..." he said nervously.
"Idiot," I muttered and I heard him growl at me. We were both very tired and hungry so I wouldn't blame him for growling at me, so i just shook it off.
"Do you think we can work for food?" I asked looking at Ferdinand.
"I don't know, maybe we can try back at the bread store," suggested Ferdinand.
"Race you." I smiled and took off in the other way hearing him complain how he wasn't ready yet.
We kicked up dirt on the trail and passed by people fast. I was loosing my energy all too quickly and Kuagra was three yards behind us. I stopped suddenly and set my hands on my knees bending over. As I caught my breath, I felt Kuagra rub her cheek on my leg making me laugh. I looked ahead and saw Ferdinand waving his hands at me. I stood up straight and walked of the rest of the way there.
"What's the matter? Are you not in shape? Or is it that ridiculously heavy looking tool belt around your waist plus that satchel with god knows what's in it, slowing you down?"
"That could be a possible explanation but I bet if I didn't have these on, I would have beaten your butt," I snickered and read the sign above the door. "Wheat Obsession." Boy was that an...interesting name?
I opened the door hearing the ring of the bell that welcomed us and walked in.
"Ah, welcome. What would be on your menu today? We have dark bread, light bread, toasted bread, buttered bread, loaves of bread, sandwiches, crackers, baked bread, toast-"
"Sorry ma'am, but we aren't here to buy anything. We don't have any money-"
"Then why don't you get your little behinds out of this store." She smiled but pointed towards the door. She seemed cheerful but serious at the same time. Her dark hair was wrapped in a bun that had strands poking out everywhere. She had light wrinkles on her face and seemed friendly enough...
"That won't happen." I continued on. "Actually ma'am, we were wondering if you needed any help in the store."
She thought for a moment. "Nope. But thanks little cuties." I found it strange the way she talked to us.
I stood there for a couple seconds unlike Ferdinand who spoke up. "Maybe we should leave now and find another place." I shook my head and held my hand up to stop him from talking any further.
"Now there's a great idea!" she chirped. Sweat was glimmering on her forehead and wore brown leather gloves and overalls.
I smiled at her while I said; "Not happening." I put on my serious face and took the steak knife out of my sleeve. I have never once accidentally cut myself with any knife. I was careful and good at handling them. I slammed the knife on the counter and looked at her with my scary serious face. The knife stuck up with its pointy end stuck in the wood. "I can cut your bread for you. You look like a lady with too much on your hands." I smiled slyly making her stutter.
"Where'd you g-get that t-thing?" I didn't think she was afraid of a kid with a knife, but when she saw the dried blood on it I knew that it was her newest fear. Murder.
"If you let us work here and give us food in return, I'll tell you." I smiled a little wider and took the knife forcefully out of the counter. I slipped it up my sleeve and said, "Don't worry; I don't kill people with it...usually." I felt really bad about that part because I really did kill people with it. I wasn't telling her a white lie to get her to cooperate. I was telling the truth.
"Just c-clean that u-up before you s-start." She said pointing behind her to the kitchen.
I smiled and squeaked a thank you before walking behind the counter to the kitchen.
I walked over to the sink and thoroughly washed my knife using the cheap soap that she kept on the counter. After that, I dried it off and went to the loaf of bread on the cutting board. I started to cut the thing like I was a professional chef just chopping it up like bell peppers. While I cut the bread, I heard Ferdinand whisper to her but it all stopped when I shouted. "Ferdinand! You should bake the bread while Miss Lovey Dovey over there mixes the ingredients! Sound good?" I asked and they both nodded.
The whole day I sliced, Ferdinand cooked, and Miss Lovey Dovey (that was her new nickname) mixed and made. The whole day went by quickly and more customers came in each hour. The customers left happy and laughing with their family and friends making their way onto the trail. Something I couldn't really do anymore...but I let that thought fade away and kept working hard.
After the day was finished, we all sighed a breath of relief. "My, my. You kids are mighty fast when it comes to bread. Especially you. You cut through the bread like nobody's business!" she exclaimed happily. "Here's the deal. How about you work with me for a week until my other workers come back from their vacation. I'll supply you with shelter and food. Sound good?" she asked while smiling.
We both nodded in agreement.

I am unwell.
I don't know how else to put that.
I want to break down. I think I'm reaching the point where I need to break down at least a little.
The urge to run is fucking strong right now.
I might see if that offer the breakdown stands with Sheik still. Cuz I can't break down with Tavion. If break down with Tavion he will just feel bad and be more stressed because I know seeing him break down has me so much more stressed than I was and all I wanna do is fix it and I fucking can't and fucking hate it.
I need to spiral just a little. Because I am so fucking tired of resisting it. It's awful.
I need to be vulnerable and talk to Sheik and ask if he likes being my friend and that I don't ask too much of him because I hope that with short-circuit my self-sabotage cycle. Because I don't make many friends, but I don't allow myself to make friends either. I usually decide that people don't actually like me and im too much so I stop replying to them. But that's kinda just an excuse. The reality is I don't want people close to me. I do t want them to see I am a mess and not worthy of being loved and cared for. I want to be loved and cared for. I just don't deserve it.
I'm fighting the urge to hurt myself. I can't even be a normal person and slice myself open or something. No, I just deny myself the little things and stop eating and sabotage all my relationships by picking fights or dropping contact. I just take unnecessary risks for no fucking reason and drink too much and hope to find oblivion.
I'm stressed to the point of breaking. I can't do this and part of me wants to run so fucking bad. I want to run back to my mom. But not actually. I wanna run even further than that. I want to disappear and show up someplace new. I want to be someone new without all of this.
Sometimes I think about breaking up with Tavion. But not even for actual reasons. It's just that urge to run. I'm a Bolter. I just want to run when things feel too serious and overwhelming. Maybe I do have commitment issues. But I realize I don't want to leave Tavion. I want to leave our circumstances. Financial troubles are so hard. We've been through so much together but this is the worst. Genuinely the worst. And I'm trying so hard not to get angry with him for things that aren't his fault. But it's hard. Sometimes I just want to scream at him. But also can't. I can't express displeasure to him. I can't express displeasure at all I just laugh and giggle and smile and pretend it's fine and map out the argument in my head and fucking hate it.
I'm so frustrated that we don't have money. I'm frustrated that I can't get him to understand the fucking mental load I stay under trying to run this household. I can't seem to get him to understand how much household labor and mental I do at all times. He didn't get it. And that makes me so sad and frustrated and angry because he can't grasp it.
I'm burning out. I'm burning out so hard. Or maybe I'm already burnt. I'm trying so fucking hard. I just don't know anymore.
I hoped this would make me feel better but I just hate it all.

Guess whose body punked her and decided to take up at like 6:30 and then refused to go to sleep?
This chick.
Oh and NOW I am feeling exhausted and wanting to go to sleep but I have to stay awake now because I made plans to be at mom's in like 3 hours.
Realistically I could sleep till noon and then rush to shower, get ready and prolly get there in time but my hair prolly won't dry in time and I wanted to play around with it.
I'm to that experimental phase when o wash day I just throw a bunch of shit in my hair and struggle bus trying to make it actually do something I want it to do.
I've tried pomades, and sculpting putty, today I went out and got2be glued wax which is supposed to be a 'spiking wax' hoping I would get some actual volume in my crown.
Ya'll that shit is hot garbage. My hair took one look at it and laughed it into oblivion. I have some expensive ass Kenra texturing spray, this bullshit wax, MOUSSE in my hair and I can't get any lift.
My hair is so damn thick and heavy it's just...frustrating. I think I need to invest in a hair dryer but I don't want to start that damaging cycle on my hair by using hot tools.
And I'm SURE it's not the product's fault, it's me. I don't now how use them because I've always ignored my hair and let it do its own thing. Mainly because it's so thick volume-wise that it will not be tamed by mortal man. The texture is fine there's just A LOT OF IT. Every hairdresser I go to is like "Damn that's a lot of hair" and I always ask them to thin it out with thinning shears. I don't know if the chick who cut my hair used any even though I think we had that conversation. Do I just take the risk and purchase thinning shears and see if I can thin it out myself? How badly could I really fuck it up? It's just gonna...cut random bits right?
She says before she becomes an example laughable enough to be featured on a Brad Mondo reacts video on YT
Though I stand by that 'wax' being hot garbage. It legit wasn't even firm. It was like a cream.
I just checked in on my hair and it's not magically improved in the past ten minutes. I do have volume in the front because I did a deep part comb-over which is to be expected. But literally, no texture or lift in my crown at all.
I'm going to shower, pray my hair dries in two hours so I can try and maybe do something with a straightening iron.
EDIT: Circling back to this for a hot second to ramble further now that I've spent my shower thinking about my frustrating lack of ability to do basic shit like style my hair. I spent the first let's say 30 years of my life just coasting. I was always a bit of a tomboy. I rejected femininity in a lot of ways and was blessed with great skin, passable looks and hair that doesn't look bad even if I never did anything more than braid or put it up in a ponytail. I never DID the girly things teenage girls do like really play with makeup or do my nails or learn how to do shit with my hair.
I've always been blessed with a sort of 'take me as I am or not, I don't fucking care' confidence in my looks which is HILARIOUS since I'm a neurotic mess in near all other parts of my life. I don't even know if I would label it as confidence but more apathy. I just gave zero fucks what people thought of how I looked. I also have zero fashion sense which will surprise exactly no one. Jeans and solid colored t-shirts and sandals is my go to look. Drove my mother insane and she's legit given up on me when it comes to fashion.
So I reach my 30's, chopped my hair off and for the first time in my life and kinda went through a mini-transformative phase in my life. I stopped rejecting my femininity. Started with teaching myself to use makeup because I was annoyed my eye looks kept looking like shit.
I applied myself, invested in actual makeup, and went through a real beauty guru phase. Then I was like I am sick of not being able to paint my nails for shit. So I made the decision that I was going to buckle down and teach myself how to paint my nails/actually try and take care of my nails etc. Genetics kinda fucked me hard in that regard, I have super brittle nails prone to like thinning at the ends and then they just snap off. So I will never have that long nail fantasy life and I've made peace with that. Long nails are kinda a pain in the ass anyway. I did start taking hair skin nail supplements and it's helped a little with my nail breakage but point is, I'm taking action to try and improve something I am displeased with myself about.
This is perhaps one of my best and worst traits. If I find I lack the knowledge or skill to do something and it annoys me enough I will move heaven and earth to fix that gap in my knowledge base. I despise my own personal ignorance and constantly seek to improve upon it. I don't give two fucks about other people's ignorance unless it's like overt and toxic. Yes I will get annoyed watching people repeat their same mistakes knowing they just need to change their approach to the problem but it's their journey to figure that shit out and I have my own shit to concentrate on.
HOWEVER when it comes to me? Must be eradicated if at all possible. It's great at times but let me tell you it's a fucking burden I would not wish upon anyone else.
My long, bloviated point being my hair has become my new 'I will fucking conquer this conceived weakness/gap in my knowledge base and I will learn to tame you' mission.
And I will succeed at this because when I set my mind to something I plow forward with all the big damn Capricorn energy until I reach my goals.
-eyes the 100K fanfic she's written in 3 months- Yeah maybe that's why I went so hard these past three months now that I'm thinking about it.
#the life and times of exhausted el continues#may she ride eternal into the sunset begging for the release of death#or a damn nap#this post now brought to you by big cap energy#and el making a promise to herself to fucking tame her hair no matter the cost apparently.

I took a nap for a while.
She just... UGH.
Okay, so I just turned 34, I have a low paying factory job that I am MASSIVELY over qualified for, but I also have anxiety, depression, autism, and some chronic health problems. 🙃 Sooo changing shit is not as easy as just picking up and GOING.
What I *REALLY* want to do is pay off all my medical debt, get my credit score somewhere decent, get a job with a decent salary (AND health care, because that is NOT NEGOTIABLE for me), and then MOVE THE FUCK OUT OF MY PARENTS HOUSE and cut all financial ties with them.
So that next time mom starts being a bitch over something stupid, I can just go back to my apartment, block her messages, and if Dad tries to talk me into making peace with her (because she's your mother, she loves you, she's just worried about you...yeah but she's still a bitch with the emotional IQ of a ROCK), he has no leverage to make me. I can be like "I'll see her in therapy and not before, byyyyyyeee!"
That...is a little out of reach, short term.
And yes, mom and I both have therapists. And anxiety. And depression. And (multiple) chronic medical conditions.
I had a therapist recommend relationship/family therapy to us, like, TEN YEARS AGO and it has NEVER HAPPENED because nothing in this family ever happens until it reaches a point of crisis.
(Or until mom nags the shit out of everybody until it's easier to do it to make her shut up than it is to resist.)
I just. I am so. Fucking. TIRED. Of dealing with her.
Like, my dad isn't PERFECT at handling emotions, but he at least recognizes that other people HAVE emotions and that they're just as valid as HIS emotions, and that when his emotions (anger, frustration, etc) get too strong, taking it out on other people is WRONG and he should NOT DO THAT, or at the very least needs to fucking APOLOGIZE.
When my plans today got canceled, he apologized - even though it's not really *his* fault, just a shitty thing that happened - and said he knew I was really looking forward to seeing my friend (college roommate who moved overseas, this would be the first time we've seen each other in person in about a decade) and he hoped we had another chance to get together.
Mom...said none of that. Or if she did, it was the mean, offhand "I'm sorry your plans got canceled, BUT..." *goes back to lecturing me about how I should have listened to her, she's always right, no one appreciates her, etc*
Like. I get that shit happens. I'm not a child. I know you can't foresee everything, can't prepare for everything. But it still sucks when you were looking forward to something and it gets canceled last minute, and rescheduling is going to be COMPLICATED because my friend's mom is in chemo for cancer and she obviously doesn't want to risk exposing her to any more germs than she has to. And she's flying back out next weekend.
So yeah.
Also I just really hate the person I become around my mom. It's like, whenever I'm around her, I become the worst version of myself in self-defense. I try to be kind and open and understanding, but she either doesn't understand those or takes advantage of them. She has NO respect for boundaries, especially in mother-daughter relationships, and doesn't even understand why relationship boundaries are a THING within family.
Also? IT IS NOT JUST ME. My brother, his wife (who is amazing and a beacon of sanity), even my DAD (who's been married to her for 40+ years and still loves her, gods help him) all know she's crazy and a pain in the ass and needs therapy. More therapy than the weekly sessions she's already getting.
If I could send her to the mental health version of a detox clinic for several weeks, I WOULD. Because she has so much going on, I don't know how else it would all get straightened out.
Dad has Covid so my plans for the day got canceled, Mom was a bitch about it and we had a fight, and now I'm eating my feelings and reading shut.
What else is new.

Ok sooo
I saw requests for fics where open, so i hope you dont mind me requesting one. But well, could you perhaps write a fic with Boss being a protective dad to Eugene?
It's actually been a year since i played Underworld Office, so i dont remember alot 😅 (i plan on replaying it after i finish Charlie in Underworld tho), but like, after the events of the game, from the true ending. The the time between UWO and CUW, if after the events, Boss got worried and more protective over him and all that but wont admit it
So take maybe Eugene getting in another dangerous situation, not as life threatening as before, but still something bad and Boss coming to rescue him
And add mom River to the mix maybe, bc she does mother him alot lol. She'd be more open on caring about Eugene and tease Boss after everything I'm sure.
But yeah, obviously all platonic, duh. But i thought it be nice and all. Just a small oneshot of that
It can either be the part of the dangerous situation and the aftermath, or to make it quick and short if you need it to, just the aftermath maybe. I'd like angst and fluff, hurt/comfort if you will
All in all, just need some comfort after playing my first round in CUW, and possibly more soon as i continue to play it YwY
But yeah, hope it aint much trouble to ask either, take your time!
Pair-enting
(Platonic River, Boss and Eugene)
Eugene listened carefully for the monster, closing his eyes as he tried to concentrate on finding out where the monster was headed. Opening his eyes, he looked down at the child in his arms, who looked no more than four years old. They had never expected their patrol would include having to save a kid from a monster, the latter extremely dangerous and bloodthirsty. Knowing that they couldn't risk endangering the child's safety, they opted to hide.
The monster growled and roared in frustration, annoyed that it couldn't find the two that had been hiding from it. The child flinched and hid it's face in Eugene's shirt, the mortal held the small of their back and held them closer. Holding their breath, Eugene waited for the monster to move along, praying that it moved in the opposite direction of the office.
Hearing the monster's footsteps fade gradually, Eugene immediately booked it for the office, praying that there would be someone who could help them contain the monster that was currently loose on the streets. The child giggled in their arms and Eugene felt themself smile at that.
Phasing through the walls of the office, Eugene looked around and noticed that the others weren't present. He wracked his mind to come up with a plan and decided to leave the child and a message with Sean while he tried to ensure that no other ghosts got hurt by the monster. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Eugene! You're hurt!" Sean exclaimed as he noticed Eugene fly towards him. As the ghost took a closer look, he saw a small girl in the mortal's hands.
"I'll be alright. But I wanted to ask, could you take care of her? And if you meet the others, could you ask them to fly South towards Blair corner?" Eugene rushed in one breath.
Placing down the flower basket, Sean took the kid from Eugene's hands, "Wait, you are still hurt. You-"
"I'll be fine! Don't worry!" Eugene yelled as they flew away.
As Sean was about to call after them, Eugene had already slipped out of his earshot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eugene was drained out from flying at their top speed. And although it took a long time for them to catch up to the monster, they still managed reach the place just in time. The monster was still thrashing around, and roared once it caught a glance of Eugene.
Eugene gulped and dodged one of it's oncoming tentacles. They were still at a loss of what to do when Boss' words came up in his mind.
'First, ensure all civilians have been evacuated. Determine the monster's preferred range of attack. Next, see if there are any nearby sources of light. Like ghosts, monsters are weak in the presence of light.'
"Alright. Let's do this." Eugene said with determination flowing through their veins.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "That was tiring." River stretched, placing her hands behind her head.
"I didn't think that it would have taken this long to seal the monster." Joan stretched and winced in the process as she felt her back ache from the bruise she earned during the fight.
Boss, noticing her facial expression change, suggested, "Ma'am, we could go and meet Sean. He could help relieve you from your pain."
"That sounds like a good idea. Plus, it's been a while since we asked about Linda." River pitched in, as she hovered over the ground while her partners walked.
"I guess we could go and see the boy then." Joan agreed. She disliked the idea of having to burden Sean but she could feel her back pain worsen.
"Speaking of boys, how do you think Eugene is doing on their patrol?"
"I am sure they are fine. I have confidence in their abilities." Boss spoke with a hint of pride in his tone.
"If only you could speak this positively about me behind me back." River wiped a fake tear from her face, prompting Boss to roll his eyes at her in amusement.
"If you didn't always start fights, then maybe I would."
"You say that like I pick fights as soon as I step out the door."
"You don't?"
The two engaged in light banter while Joan shook her head fondly. Boss and River, although very experienced in fighting monsters and helping ghosts, were children in her eyes (even though they may be in their late twenties and are mature). Children who died at a young age while having their whole life ahead of them.
Once the flower shop came into view, Joan noticed Sean's absence and found it odd.
"That's weird. Sean normally distributes flowers in front of the shop." River said, confused but deciding to not think to much about it. "He is probably inside-"
"I am so glad to all are here." Sean spoke, accidently interrupting River in the process as he phased through the wall of the shop. "Please come inside. I really need your help."
Boss frowned at the statement. 'Something must be really bothering him since he isn't hiding from me or stammering in my presence. But did it really have to take a crisis for him to not be afraid of me?'
The three followed Sean inside the shop and saw a small girl sitting on the floor, with flowers in her hair. River cooed as she walked towards the child and kneeled down, "Hey there. Those flowers look really pretty. Did you pick them by yourself?"
"N-no. Um, he gave them t-to me." she stammered nervously.
"Ah. Well, I think they look nice on your hair. What is your name?" River asked, offering a gentle smile.
"Ezra." The girl smiled back.
"Well Ezra, my name is River. The granny's name is Joan and he is Boss." River pointed to the ghosts as she introduced them.
"Sean." Boss called.
"Y-yes sir." replied Sean, wincing at his stammer.
'So much for not stammering.' Boss thought, "Where did you find her?"
"That's, uh, what I needed your help for. Eugene brought her in before going off again to fight a monster. At least, I think he is. He seemed to be in a hurry to fly there."
"Wait a minute. Eugene is fighting a monster on his own?" River stood up.
"I am not sure. He asked me to tell you to fly to Blair Corner."
Boss gripped his fan instinctively. Trying his best to control his worry, he ordered, "River, you and I will be going to help Eugene. Sean, could you help Joan? She got hurt while we were fighting a monster."
"Yes S-sir."
"Hold on a minute. I am coming as well." Joan stepped forward.
"I am sorry ma'am. But in your current condition, I cannot allow you to come with us. If the situation becomes too much for us to handle, we will call you." Boss countered.
Knowing that there was no way of convincing Boss, Joan decided to stay put. The ghost knew that there would be a chance that she might end up becoming a burden since she was hurt.
Boss marched out of the shop with River following suit. As soon as the two were outside, they took off and flew as fast as they could.
"Eugene will be okay."
"I hope so, River." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'The area is clear and no one is around. Except of course, me.'
Eugene continued dodging the monster's attack, praying that they wouldn't end up getting crushed by it.
Seeing the stadium come into view, they let out a relieved sigh, "Finally!"
Eugene could feel their body scream in exhaustion as they flew, the monster hot on their trail. The monster, sensing the mortal's exhaustion, swept it's tentacle at them, knocking them out of the sky. As they fell, Eugene close their eyes and tried to summon all the energy they had left, hoping they could try to catch themself from falling.
"Got you!"
Eugene opened their eyes as they felt a pair of arms catch them midair, looking up, they saw River smile at them in relief.
"River?"
"Glad to see you still in one piece newbie. Gotta admit, I am impressed you held your own against this thing."
Eugene chuckled as they wrapped their arms around River, thankful that the female came just in time.
Eugene's attention was drawn to the monster as it let out a scream in pain. They turned their head to see Boss mercilessly wrapping the ends of his hanbok around the monster and using his fan to chop off it's tentacles one by one. As they watched the fight go on, they noticed Boss growing tired.
'Must be because he was sealing other monsters in that haunted building tonight.' "River, take Eugene and get out of here!" Boss yelled, as he dodged an attack from the creature.
River nodded and took off.
"Wait, River-"
"Eugene, You are hurt and tired. No way I am letting you fight."
"We can't just leave Boss to handle that monster on his own. He looks exhausted. Which is why I am asking you to just hear my plan out."
River stopped in their tracks and looked at Eugene. In a split second, she saw Eugene's 15-year-old self. Perhaps it was the way their eyes flickered with determination, similar to how they were when they fought Jack.
'The newbie really has come a long way, huh?' River's face broke into a grin, feeling proud of their newbie.
"All right. Let's hear it newbie."
Eugene smiled briefly before speaking, "So, there is a stadium nearby. If we turn on the lights, that should be more than enough to weaken the monster. The only thing is, we got to lure it all the way."
"Pretty sure I can anger it enough for it to wanna chase me." River said proudly.
Eugene chuckled before he noticed a tentacle come towards her, "Watch out!"
River turned around just before Boss's hanbok cut the appendage off.
"Come one Newbie!" River said, keeping a firm grip on Eugene as they flew closer to the monster.
"Hey!" Eugene yelled, trying to catch the attention of the monster.
Boss, annoyed that River and Eugene were still there, yelled, "What are you-"
"Just trust me!" Eugene replied.
Although he was confused, Boss chose to trust Eugene's judgement and started to float from the ground towards the pair.
"Follow us." River told Boss as she flew straight towards the stadium, feeling tired but still determined to stop this monster.
The monster pursued them, Boss hoped that whatever plan Eugene had would work out.
Once they reached the football stadium, River let Eugene down while Boss landed. The monster phased through the bleachers and screamed, causing Eugene to cover their ears.
"I'll try to find the light controls. Could you two distract it in the meantime?" Eugene asked, hoping they didn't come off as bossy.
"We will be fine, Eugene. Just be careful." Boss replied, snapping his fan open.
Eugene ran, knowing they no longer had the energy to fly anymore. They frantically looked around for the control panel as Boss and River fended off the monster. Their head was throbbing but Eugene knew they had to pull through it.
After what seemed like an eternity to them, they finally found the room. Phasing through the wall, their eyes darted around the room before landing on the controls. Sprinting towards it, Eugene immediately hit all the buttons, hoping that at least one would turn on the lights.
The sound of the monster crying in pain captured his attention and he looked up to see the monster squirming about.
River took this as an opportunity and wrapped her hair around the monster, Boss did the same except for with his hanbok. The two of them pulled the monster as Boss readied his fan. The two of them were weak as well, since lights were a source of weakness for ghosts.
Eugene flew out of the room and closer to the pair battling the monster.
"Eugene, Catch!" Boss called out as he threw his fan.
Eugene caught the fan and looked at Boss, who was struggling to hold the monster down, along with River.
"Remember our training and use it!"
Eugene's eyes widened in surprise, "But... I- I can't."
"Newbie, Boss isn't-" River nearly lost her balance before regaining it again and continuing, "Look, if he is sure you can do it, then you can. I believe you can do it too!"
Gripping the fan, he looked at it before opening it. Boss and River stood at the opposite sides of the monster, trying to restrain it from moving. Gathering his courage, Eugene charged towards the monster. Bringing their hand back, they swiped the fan with all the strength they had left, effectively absorbing all of the monster's mass into the keepsake.
Once it disappeared, Eugene snapped the fan close and laughed in relief. Boss retracted his clothes and River, her hair. River fist pumped the air in triumph while Boss brushed his hair with his hand. As Eugene swayed on their feet in exhaustion, they felt their last ounce of energy drain away. Feeling the world spin, they fell back on the grass.
"Eugene!" the ghosts called out.
"I'm... okay. Just... really tired." Eugene panted. The two of them looked down at them, concern etched on both their faces. Eugene spoke up again, "Do you mind if we just... you know, sat for a while?"
Boss disappeared, and Eugene worried if they accidently upset the male. River plopped down next to the mortal and laid on her back and yawned. A few seconds ticked by and the stadium lights turned off. Confused, Eugene looked at River who shrugged in response.
"The longer the lights stay on, the more we risk garnering unwanted attention."
Eugene turned his head and jerked in surprise as he saw Boss staring at them. The head of the office sat down next to them, before slowly lying down.
The three lied down in silence. Taking advantage of the quiet after their tiresome battle. The events of tonight replaying in their heads as they relaxed.
"You did well, Eugene. I am proud." Boss said, looking at the sky.
"Yeah, newbie! Color me impressed." River nudged Eugene's shoulder.
Eugene laughed, exhaustion still eating at him, "I couldn't have done it without you both. Thanks for helping me out."

December 1994
Luke groaned as he woke up, squinting hard to try and adjust his eyes to the amount of light in the room.
Even before he could see clearly, he knew he must've fallen asleep in the studio judging by the soreness in his back and neck that he always got when he slept on the old couch. It couldn't have been more than six in the morning, and Luke could still feel the tiredness in his bones. So he tried to turn away from the light and hopefully fall back asleep, but there was something keeping him firmly in place.
His heart skipped when he looked down and saw that you were laying right next to him with your head on his chest and an arm thrown across his stomach. When he realized that his own arms were wrapped around you, his heart broke out into a full-on tap dance.
Waves of confusion ran through his still-foggy brain until he saw his guitar case propped up against the piano and his backpack on the floor with his clothes spilling out of it.
Then the events of last night quickly came back to him.
How he had gotten home late from rehearsal and his mom was waiting in the kitchen with his latest report card and her signature lecture at the ready. One minute he was standing there yelling, packing all he could fit into his bag, and the next, he was halfway to the studio with the rain soaking him head to toe.
He had expected it to be empty when he finally got there, but he was flooded with relief when he saw you. All the frustration slowly melted out of him the longer he laid there with you, leaving him feeling exhausted and shivering despite how warm he felt.
The last thing he wanted to do was talk about any of it, but when you asked, the words came out of his mouth before he could stop them.
He remembered rambling and crying again, the sound of your voice and the feeling of your fingers in his hair warming him up even more. Then finally, he remembered falling asleep with his chin tucked on top of your head, the smell of your shampoo filling his senses.
Without thinking, Luke reached down and carefully pushed a piece of hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ear and smiling to himself when you shifted into his touch. Then taking in a sharp breath as the realization ran through him all the way down to his toes.
You were his best friend.
The person he wanted to see at the end of a long day. Whenever he was full of anger or lost in confusion, all he had to do was look at you and everything suddenly made sense again. With your pretty smile and laugh, and your way of flipping that little switch inside him that made his head all fuzzy and the ground start spinning under his feet.
You were his best friend, and he was in love with you.

2020
All you felt was a mixture of anxiety and nausea as you stood on the Orpheum's street corner, biting the tips of your fingernails.
The entire plan hinged on Willie and Teddy getting everything done in time, and considering that they had betrayed you all before, you couldn’t help but expect the worst.
“Look, don’t worry. Willie said he’ll get us on that marquee.” Alex said nervously as he kicked pebbles across the sidewalk.
“This is going to work, right?” Reggie asked.
“It has to.” Luke mumbled, wincing seconds later when another shock hit them.
Two sharp pops cut through the air behind you and you all whipped around to see Willie and Teddy standing just a few feet away. Willie was watching you all carefully with concern written all over his face, his eyes lingering on Alex longer than anyone else. Teddy stood at the edge of the group, practically burning a hole in your face with his guilty stare.
“Are you guys okay?” Willie asked.
“Yeah, nothing we haven’t felt before.” Alex laughed awkwardly. “How’d it go?”
“Well, when the opening band wakes up, they’ll find their bus two hundred miles out of Vegas.” Willie said with a proud smile as he did a spin, showing off his stolen jacket with the band’s name across the back.
“With absolutely no chance of getting back in time.” Teddy added.
Luke gave Willie a fistbump and pointed up to the office above the Orpheum. “That means there’s probably a promoter up there freaking out right now.”
Willie grinned, sarcasm laced in his tone. “Nah, man. This is Hollywood. I’m sure he’s being very professional.”
You laughed and then Alex slowly inched forward, clearly struggling for the right words to say to Willie. You gave his arm a quick squeeze before following Reggie and Luke down the street to give them space. Before you even got halfway down the sidewalk, Teddy poofed next to you.
“You know, If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you don’t want to talk to me.” He joked.
“Teddy-”
"I just-I didn't want to leave things the way we did." He rambled. "I'm sorry, I should've told you everything that night in the diner-"
"Teddy, It's okay." You said. "You told me before Caleb could put the stamp on me, and you didn't know the details about the plan until after it was too late to help my friends. Plus, I know how much you're risking helping us now."
As soon as the words left your mouth, you felt some of the weight fall off your shoulders. You weren't sure why since the situation was still a little painful and awkward. But being around Teddy always made you feel a little like that kid who started working at the diner with Cece all those years ago. Besides, they were so alike that you found it hard to stay mad at him.
You held out your hand for Teddy to shake. "Despite everything, I'm glad we met."
“Likewise, Gorgeous,” Teddy said with a relieved smile as he grasped your hand. With a subtle wink, he nodded over towards where Luke was standing at the end of the street. “He’s a lucky guy.”
"What? How did you?-" You sputtered as he stepped away. You never told Teddy about Luke, or at least you didn't think you did.
Teddy just smirked in response before disappearing into the air. At the same time, you saw Willie skate away out of the corner of your eye, leaving Alex alone on the sidewalk.
You all phased next to him and Luke squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. "You okay, man?"
"Yeah. I'm good." Alex smiled slyly as he gestured to the office. "Looks like this show needs a new opening act though."
You grinned. "Let's go see if we can help with that."
-
When you got back to the studio, you found Julie pacing back and forth in the middle of the room as she wrung her hands together.
When you all poofed in, she immediately jumped into a load of questions, losing her breath halfway through and flailing her arms around.
"Whoa, just sit down," You laughed excitedly. "We'll tell you everything."
Julie took a gasping breath and plopped backwards onto the couch then stared at you all with expectant eyes. "Well?"
"It worked!" You announced. "Everything's fine."
"You should be getting the call...now!" Alex pointed to Julie’s phone on the table just as it started buzzing. You all cheered and Julie shushed you as she answered the call.
You heard a woman's voice say something through the phone and Julie gave a thumbs-up as she started jumping on the couch. You watched in amusement and mild horror as Luke and Reggie lifted Alex up into the air and spun him around.
Once he was back on the ground, Luke and Reggie made a beeline for you, each of them grabbed one of your arms and flipped you upside down over their shoulders.
You all spent the next twenty minutes laughing and screaming and Alex even got a little teary-eyed but you pretended not to notice. Then Julie called Flynn and ran off excitedly to decide her outfit for the night, leaving the four of you alone to plan out the setlist.
“Okay, so I’m thinking we start with Stand Tall.” Luke said excitedly as he wrote the words down in his songbook.
“Sounds good.” Reggie said, suddenly quiet.
“’Sounds good’? Guys, I wanna hear ‘That sounds awesome!” Luke reached out and nudged Reggie’s shoulder. “I know this isn’t the way we imagined any of this. But we need to be all in tonight. This is our second chance to play the Orpheum!”
“I get it.” Reggie sputtered. “But it’s hard. Do we even know what’s on the other side when we cross over? Do we still get to hang out together?”
You shifted your weight as the happy little bubble surrounding you popped. You had been so wrapped up in the excitement of finally playing the Orpheum that you almost forgot what tonight was really about.
“You guys are the only family I have.” Reggie’s eyes were glued to the piano as he played with his fingers. You reached out and locked his arm with yours in an attempt to comfort him.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen either. But it’s not like we have a choice.” Alex said.
Suddenly, Reggie’s arm fell out of yours as all three boys fell back, clutching their sides.
“I’m pretty sure we do.” Reggie groaned. “And it rhymes with ‘Hollywood Ghost Club’.”
The garage doors creaked open and Julie appeared with a bright smile and a blue garment bag in her hand. When she saw your expressions, her smile fell. “What’s wrong?”
“We just got hit pretty hard by one of those jolts.” Alex said. “But we’re fine.”
“Oh, good.” She nodded, though she still looked on edge. “I’m nervous.”
“That makes two of us.” You said. “But we made it this far for a reason. We got this.”
“Can you ride there with me? I'm gonna need more pep-talk material for the drive there cause I still think I might puke.” Julie tucked her hair behind her ears.
“Of course, and don't worry, we’ll leave the windows open.” You joked, making everyone laugh.
The sound of a car horn cut through the air and Julie looked outside. "That's my dad. Are you ready, (Y/n)?"
You nodded. "Yeah, uh, give me a second. I'll meet you in the car."
As Julie disappeared behind the doors, you turned to the boys and sighed as you tried to soak up this moment. For all you knew, this could be the last little window of time you had alone with them before tonight.
Julie was a huge part of the band of course, but these were your boys. The ones who you started this all with, who had been by your side for everything.
From the look on all their faces, you could see that they were thinking the same thing.
Without saying a word, you launched yourself at Alex. He made a surprised noise but recovered quickly, throwing his arms around you and holding you tight.
"And I'm the emotional one?" He jokingly muttered in your ear and you pinched his side, making him jump back. "Rude."
As soon as your arms were open, Reggie stepped forward and hugged you so tightly that you were thankful to not need oxygen anymore because he was definitely crushing several vital organs.
You laughed and gave him one last squeeze before pulling away, locking eyes with Luke instantly.
Alex cleared his throat awkwardly and grabbed Reggie's shoulder, steering him over to Luke's songbook to 'check out the setlist again'.
"And then there were two." Luke joked.
You laughed and stepped into his waiting arms, making him laugh. You soaked up the feeling of comfort and familiarity for a minute before pulling away.
"This, uh, is for you," Luke said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. You knitted your eyebrows together in confusion as he handed it over. "I wanted you to have it in case...well, you know. If tonight doesn't work."
"It will." You said, trying to ignore the fact that it very well could happen. "You're not getting rid of me that easily, Patterson."
"I wouldn't dream of it." He quipped back, his voice sounding softer and less teasing than you would've expected. You pulled back from him and because you didn't know if you would ever get another chance, you stood on your tiptoes and planted a kiss on his cheek.
You moved away too fast to see his reaction but the gesture made the other two boys smirk at you as you dashed out of the doors, making a beeline for the car pulling out of the driveway.
-
The back rooms of the Orpheum were a maze.
You had left for a few minutes to walk around the venue and clear your head, trying to wring out the last of your nerves.
By the time you found your way back, you expected to find the rest of the band rushing to get ready in the dressing room. But all you saw was Julie anxiously pacing as she had been earlier, a habit she seemed to have inherited from both you and Alex.
“You okay?”
She snapped her head up towards you and sighed. “Yeah, just a little worried. The guys aren’t here yet.”
You looked around the room and then at the clock, frowning. The show was in less than half an hour and that was already cutting it close. Part of you wanted to go check on them but Julie seemed to need you more at the moment.
“Okay, well, give them another ten minutes. I'm sure they'll be here. They wouldn’t miss this…again.”
You ran your palm across the front of your pocket, feeling Luke's note next to your parent’s photo, and hoped you were right.
But then more and more time passed until the stage manager came to escort Julie to the stage.
"Just a second!" She calls out and then turns to you. "(Y/n), something's wrong. They were getting those jolts pretty hard before we left. They must've run out of time."
You shut your eyes tight as the words sunk in. All you could bring yourself now was, ‘This isn't what was supposed to happen.’
The world fell out from under your feet and you had trouble even standing up straight as you imagined what must've happened to them. Your best friends, your brothers, your family was gone and there wasn't anything you could do about it.
The guy knocked again, this time a little harder and with a nervous tone. Julie chewed her lip as she looked between you and the door and you could almost see the cloud of grief settling over her.
As hard as it was, you tried your best to shove your feelings down and marched up to Julie. There would be time to fall apart later, but you knew that this what they would want you to do. "Let's go do this for them, okay?"
She took a deep, shaky breath before hesitantly nodding. You followed closely behind her as she walked out the door though the halls until she reached the stage. You waited beside Flynn in the wing as Julie settled behind her microphone and addressed the crowd.
There were scattered claps from around the venue and then she took a deep breath before singing the opening.
After the first few lines, you took your cue and materialized at the center of the stage. The crowd gasped and cheered the way they always did, but you kept your eyes shut tight and focused on the music.
Just as the song started picking up, you heard a familiar pop in the air and then the sound of drumming. You whirled around to see Alex mounted onto a drum set at the back of the stage, twirling his drumsticks around and smiling like he had never been gone at all.
Once you got over the initial shock, you wanted to cry with relief. They were okay, they were here. Alex winked at you goofily, and you ran towards Julie’s keyboard.
She had started bouncing on the balls of her feet, both of you finally getting into the song now that they were coming back. You followed suit, dancing around the base of the drum set as yours and Julie’s voices came together.
Then Reggie appeared on the other side of Julie and you ran to his side. You bumped his shoulder with yours and he grinned, moving to stand back to back.
The song was ramping up to the chorus when a staticky noise cut through the air, not loud enough for the crowd to hear but enough to make you all look over to the other end of the stage.
You could see Luke's form fading in and out, a look of anguish on his face, and the pit in your stomach opened up again. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Alex's drumming paused and Luke finally materialized to sing the opening of the chorus.
You didn't even know you were moving until you suddenly found yourself across the stage next to Luke, unable to stop smiling as you sang.
Julie joined you, throwing her arms up in the air happily and jumping around. Reggie appeared by her side, flashing the crowd a winning smile.
Alex stood up and gripped his mic as he sang this solo. You looked back at him and flashed him a proud smile, then whooping loudly when Reggie sang his lines.
You all went down the line hitting your notes until the chorus kicked in again and your heart felt so full you almost couldn't stand it. This was what you were so close to achieving before you died, it was all you had wanted for years, and you knew that if you hadn't died, that night would've changed your life. But this night was something even more special. Because you were all here, all together.
Even if it was just for one last song.
Julie caught your attention and nodded towards the platform that spread out into the crowd. You followed her to the center and stood back to back as everyone cheered.
The guys joined in on either side of you, Alex grabbing one of your hands and Luke holding the other. You all bowed to the audience before taking your cue and vanishing, leaving only Julie on stage.
You landed in the wing, feeling a little lightheaded and overwhelmed from all the emotions you had experienced in the last five minutes. The elated smile fading from your face when all three boys poofed by your side only to fall to the floor instantly.
“It didn’t work.” You said miserably as Julie emerged into the backstage area. She grabbed Flynn and whispered something to her, pointing in the direction of her family. Flynn nodded and disappeared into the crowd while Julie ran to your side.
You hauled Alex onto his feet, letting him lean on you to stay upright while Luke and Reggie trailed behind Julie as she led the group back to the dressing room. Once everyone was inside, they collapsed on the couch or the floor, loudly groaning in pain.
“What happened? Why didn’t it work?” Julie asked tearfully.
“I guess playing here wasn’t our unfinished business.” Alex said hollowly.
“Point Caleb.” Reggie muttered as he clung to the side of an armchair.
You stood frozen next to Julie as panic spread through your whole body, both of you flinching in sympathy as the shocks continued.
“You have to save yourselves right now.” Julie begged. “Join Caleb’s club. It’s better than not existing at all!”
“She’s right.” You managed to say, your voice shaky and almost giving out. Your stomach flipped at the thought of them having to work for an evil club owner forever, but the alternative was worse. “You guys need to go now! For me. For us.”
“We’re not going back there.” Reggie shook his head.
Luke pulled himself up and stumbled forward a little so that he was right in front of you. “No music is worth making if we’re not all making it together.”
You sighed sadly, thinking back to your conversation yesterday. “So no more regrets?”
Luke let out a deep sigh and then reached up and cupped your cheek with his right hand. “Just one.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in response and Luke blinked hard as if he was trying to find the words. "I never told you why I left that night."
"Luke, don't." You gave him a weak smile. "I get it."
"You do?" He asked.
You struggled to get the words out. "Yeah, I mean it was bound to happen eventually. We just got too close and it was weird for you. I understand t-”
"What?" Luke asked, cutting you off with a confused look. "No, no, that's not it at all. Read the-"
Before he could finish, you heard Julie gasp loudly from a few feet away. You looked over to see her stepping back from Alex with an awestruck look on her face as she gripped his forearms.
Wait, what?
Before you could even begin to process what you were seeing, Reggie was reaching out to Julie, who grabbed his wrist and hauled him up to his feet. The three of them stared at each other for a few seconds before Julie turned to you and Luke.
“Guys, come here.”
Alex reached out and pulled you into his side while Luke threw an arm around Reggie’s back and Julie brought you all in closer to her. At first, nothing happened. But then there was a faint buzzing sound and the boys lifted their wrist towards the ceiling and you all watched in awe as the stamp floated away in the blink of an eye.
“Whoa.” Reggie said, his eyes still glued to the ceiling. “I don’t feel as weak anymore.”
“Yeah, me neither.” Alex agreed. “Not that I ever was that weak in the first place.”
You rolled your eyes and let your head fall over on his shoulder. “What do you think that means?”
Luke smiled. “I think it means the band is back.”
It was quiet for a second before Alex looked at you all shyly. “You guys think we can try that hug thing again?”
You laughed as you huddled together again, sniffling and laughing. Then Julie yelled out that you had played the Orpheum and then you were all jumping around, still tangled in each other’s arms.
Eventually, you all broke apart and while the boys started chasing each other around, you turned to Julie. She looked into your eyes and immediately flew into your arms, muttering into your shoulder, “I always wanted a big sister.”
The words warmed your heart and you squeezed her extra hard, grateful that you actually could now. “Well, I’m honored.”
“My family's probably looking for me so..." Julie stepped back from your arms with the biggest smile you’d ever seen on her face, you jokingly bowed to her and she copied the gesture before disappearing behind the door.
You wiped the last of your tears out of your eyes and turned around to find Alex and Reggie were talking in whispers and wearing knowing smiles. When Alex saw you looking, he cleared his throat and nudged Reggie’s shoulder.
“Hey, Reg.” Alex said cheekily, not taking his eyes off of you for even a second. “I was going to check out the next band. You wanna come with me?”
“Sure!” Reggie started strolling towards the door, stopping only for a second to nudge your shoulder and whisper ‘don't do anything I wouldn’t do’ in your ear.
Alex fixed Luke with a pointed look over his shoulder and Reggie gave him a dorky wink before they poofed away. You smiled fondly at the space where they were just standing and awkwardly turned towards Luke.
“Hi.” You said, laughing awkwardly.
“Hi.” Luke muttered back as he stepped forward until he was close enough to grab your hand. “About what I was saying earlier…”
You opened your mouth to say something but he shook his head and pointed to your pocket. “Read it. Please.”
You tugged the note he had given you earlier out of your pocket and carefully folded it open to see that it wasn’t a note at all. It was the love song that Julie had found that day in the garage, the one that he didn’t want anyone to see. You struggled a little trying to decipher Luke's handwriting. The ink was a little smudged and the song was clearly unfinished but it was the most beautiful thing you had ever read. And he had written it for you.
"I didn't leave because we got too close," He said. "It was the opposite, (Y/n), I left because I was scared to lose you, and I know that doesn't make sense because I kind of did w-"
You carefully tucked the paper back in your pocket with one hand and grabbed the back of his neck with the other, pulling him down and closing the last bit of space between you.
Luke's brain short-circuited for a second before he started kissing back, grabbing your waist with enough force to nearly knock you both backwards. It was dizzying and a little desperate, yet weirdly familiar, as if you'd been kissing him your whole life.
Most moments with Luke felt like they were happening in slow motion, but this time it was like a high-speed movie montage of your whole lives. The stolen crayons, the time capsule, the pre performance pep talks, the smell of cinnamon, the ferris wheel, his jacket, the movie nights and songwriting sessions. All of it had led up to this moment.
"I love you." Luke said immediately after you pulled away. "God, I love you so much. I'm such an idiot. I'm sorry."
“Hey, it’s okay.” You laughed, blinking another wave of tears out of your eyes. “I should’ve told you forever ago instead of skirting around it.”
“And what is it that you should’ve told me?” He said teasingly and you rolled your eyes. You had gotten so used to Luke being so shut down or nervous around you that you almost forgot how much of a little shit he could be.
“That I love you too.” You said, unable to stop smiling.
Luke leaned down and captured your lips in another kiss, this time threading his fingers through your hair as he cupped your cheeks in his hands. “I’m never gonna get tired of hearing that.”
You bit your lip to keep another laugh from bubbling up as you looked up at him, feeling completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. "So...what now?"
"I don't know." Luke admitted. "But I know one thing."
"What's that?"
"That no matter where we go, or what we do," He pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. "In life, in death... I'm yours. Always."

Hello! So here's my request:
The 1-A girls including reader are having a girls night in one of their dorms playing Minecraft (teaching Momo how to play for the first time), giving out study tips, eating snacks and watching movies, etc... When their in a topic about their crushes and reader shyly tells them it is Tenya Iida... While the girls are shocked and ask a lot of questions why iida much to reader whos not really liking the questions, the girls decided to help reader out by setting both iida and reader on a date by grabbing readers phone and texting iida, much to readers protest and what the girls don't know is that the boys are having a boy night at the common room too and doing the exact same thing, helping iida out to finally ask reader on a date.
so yeah, haha that's all and you can add your own ideas there and can this be a oneshot? I also want to see the perspective of iida if that't possible? I hope this is okay? thank you!! ☺
Took a few liberties, included some personal touches, I’m really happy with how this came out and I hope you are too!

Weekend nights in Heights Alliance were arguably the best.
Mr. Aizawa was more flexible about curfew on Friday and Saturday nights, so the class took those nights as opportunities to have slumber parties and late night get-togethers.
This was one such night. You, Ochaco, Tsu, Momo, Toru and Kyoka had gone to Mina’s dorm room with snacks and games in hand. Your hostess had offered up her wide selection of video games and her Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ accounts. Toru had even come through with an impressive assortment of face masks, nail polish, and hair accessories. Needless to say, everyone was more than set for a night of careless fun.
“Wait, how do I craft something?” Mom held her controller out to Kyoka, brows pinched together.
“This button, here,” she took the controller, demonstrating by crafting an axe.
Upon realization that Momo had next to no knowledge of Minecraft, the party had abandoned its Super Smash Bros. tournament in favor of showing her the ropes. You’d vowed to help her make a simple house by the end of the night.
“Pro tip: make sure you collect all the same type of wood.” You suggested, eyes focused on the white stripes you were attempting to paint onto Tsuyu’s light green nails with some success.
“Yeah, unless it’s on purpose, like if you use a different wood for the roof or floor, it’s just gonna look like you hobbled it together in less than a minute.” Mina agreed, before promptly shoving a handful of popcorn into her mouth.
Ochaco gasped playfully, swiping the bowl away. “Don’t eat all of it!”
“I’ll eat whatever I damn well please!” Mina retorted, making a grab for the snack as Ochaco floated it over to Toru.
“Okay guys, I can’t take it anymore.” The invisible girl grabbed the bowl out of the air. “We’re all together, hanging out with zero stress for the first time in months! Does anyone have anything juicy to share? Someone’s gotta have something!”
Kyoka rolled her eyes. “I don’t know about the rest of you, but I didn’t come to gossip.”
“This class is a pretty tight-knit group, ribbit. Nothing really happens that we don’t all know about.” Tsu pointed out.
“Okay then. Crushes.” Mina prompted.
“What about them?” Momo asked.
“Who’s got ‘em?”
There was a moment of silence. You noticed how a few pairs of eyes flicked to Ochaco, who had gonna very red and very quiet. You sighed, musing to yourself about the things you did for friendship.
“I, uh, I kinda like Iida?”
You hated how you phrased it like a question. You hated how you mitigated the confession with the word “kinda”. You hated that silly, totally inadequate word “like”. Your feelings for Iida went beyond a simple crush. You’d had them for him for months now, you were long past the “like” phase. You were head-over-heels in love.
Toru gasped dramatically. “Really? Iida?”
Ochaco smiled at you, gratitude evident in her eyes. “You two would make a sweet couple.”
“What do you like about him?” Mina asked excitedly. “When did you fall for him? Are you gonna confess?”
“Take it easy,” Kyoka chuckled lightly.
You also laughed, albeit uneasily. You were beginning to regret not keeping your mouth shut. “Okay, I’ll take those one at a time. He’s kind and attentive, and he’s very loyal. I think I realized that I liked him a few weeks after the sports fest, and absolutely not.”
“Why don’t you want to tell him?” Momo asked, pursing her lips. “I think he’d appreciate the honesty.”
“Be that as it may, I don’t wanna make things weird between us or potentially ruin our friendship.” You explained “I don’t wanna jeopardize what we have now by confessing.”
“Plus, Iida doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who’s want to date someone, ribbit.” Tsu put in, examining her newly painted nails. “He’s very serious. He’d probably see it as a distraction, these are really pretty, (Y/N), thank you.”
You smiled weakly at your frog-like friend as Toru threw a piece of popcorn at her head. “Tsu!”
“No, she’s right.” You sighed heavily, motioning for the popcorn bowl, intending to drown your sorrows and maybe yourself in it.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N).” Momo patted your back sympathetically as she passed the bowl down. “I can’t imagine how frustrating it is.”
You hummed in agreement as you shoveled the snack into your mouth. “Whatever. It sucks, bur I’ll get over it.”
“Like hell you will!” Mina snapped “Ochaco: our romantically challenged friend’s phone, if you please?”
Ochaco dutifully and bemusedly took your phone from Mina’s bedside table and handed it over to her.
“What are you doing?” You questioned, suddenly on high alert.
You were ignored. Mina instead took your hand, and placed your thumb over the home button on your phone, unlocking it.
“Seriously, what are you doing?” Kyoka asked.
“Texting Iida.”
It took you a few seconds to process her words and what they meant. Once you had, though, you made a sudden grab for the phone. “Oh no you’re not!”
“Chillax, I’m not gonna send him anything embarrassing.” Mina swatted your hand away as she scooted safely out of your reach. “I’m just gonna suggest that you two go out sometime and heavily imply that it’ll be a date.”
“Now hold on,” Momo cut in, setting down her controller. “We shouldn’t be interfering. This is between (Y/N) and Iida.”
“Yeah, if (Y/N) wants to ask him out, they’ll do it themselves, ribbit.” Tsu chimed in.
Mina sighed, slumping. “I know you’re both right, but I can’t just let them wallow! Iida really likes you, (Y/N)!”
“Oh yeah?” You raised both eyebrows.
“Yeah! He’s a lot softer with you then with anyone else!”
“He does tend to let you get away with things,” Kyoka admitted. “Remember the other day when you were sitting on your desk? The guy didn’t even bat an eye.”
“He also seems like he talks to you more than he does the rest of us!” Toru pointed out.
“Plus he worries about you more than the rest of us!” Ochaco added on.
“He looks more relaxed around you.” Tsuyu threw in.
“Sometimes when we have class representative meetings, he’ll offhandedly mention you.” Momo reported thoughtfully. “He’ll tell me about something you said or did that he found funny or endearing. It’s actually pretty adorable the way he talks about you. It’s like his whole face lights up.”
You were quiet for a very long moment. It was too good to be true. You liked playing it safe. You kept your cards close to your chest until you were absolutely sure you had the wining hand. And if you’d learnt anything in your hero education, it was that sometimes you needed to take a risk.
“Can I have my phone, please?”
Mina tossed it to you. Without another word, you navigated to your messages, and typed something out quickly. Before you could reconsider, you took a risk.
You hit send.
. . .
This isn’t actually all that bad.
When Kirishima and Kaminari had suggested a “boys’ night”, Tenya had been apprehensive at best. He was all for class bonding activities, but what was the point if it was only a fraction of their group?
“(L/N) and the girls are having a sleepover, so we may as well something ourselves.” Sero had pointed out.
Despite his skepticism, Tenya found himself thoroughly enjoying himself. After admitting he’d never seen a Marvel movie, Midoriya had immediately logged the common room TV into his Disney+ account and began the first ever 1-A Marvel movie marathon.
“Ugh, does this mean we have to watch Age of Ultron?” Ojiro groaned “That one sucks.”
“Yeah, but at some point I’m going to make Iida watch Wandavision.” Midoriya replied “Ultron is important to understanding it, sucky as it may be.”
“That’s not gonna be for a while if we’re watching every single Marvel movie, though.” Sato chuckled.
“Yeah, we’re definitely gonna need more than one night for this shit,” Kaminari chortled “Wandavision not withstanding.”
Tenya smiled, not quite following but listening all the same. He suddenly felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.
(L/N): Random question. Want to go out and get dinner tomorrow, just the two of us?
It was indeed a random question. He had no qualms about spending time with (L/N) though. Even if it was just the two us them. Especially if it’s just the two of us. Tenya quickly shook the thought away though, feeling he’s cheeks flare.
Me: That would be great! Do you have a time and place in mind?
(L/N): Would 6 be ok? As for the place… would you be up for a surprise?
Tenya hesitated. Usually he’s say no. He liked everything to be perfectly planed to a T. But something about (L/N) made him want to be spontaneous. They made him want to take risks. So he decided to do precisely that. He threw caution into the wind as he sent his response.
Me: 6 is more than ok, and I’m always up for a surprise if it’s with you.
Tenya cringed immediately after hitting send. The instant regret was crushing and depressing. He wished he could be honest about his feelings, about (L/N) without overthinking every move he made.
Oh well. What’s done is done. He slipped his phone back into his pocket, praying you wouldn’t respond. However, his plea went ignored a minute later when he felt his phone vibrate yet again.
Biting back a groan, Tenya opened his texts, inwardly bracing himself.
(L/N): Awesome! I’ll meet you at 6 in the common room tomorrow, then. Can’t wait! ❤️
He gaped. That tiny red emoji wormed not his brain and burned itself behind his eyes until that was all he could see. He barely even registered the rest of the message.
“Whatcha lookin’ at, Iida?” Kaminari, never one to understand personal space, leaned over to glance at the class rep’s phone phone before he could angle it away. “You sly little- IIDA HAS A DATE!”
“No I- that’s not- Kaminari!” Tenya sputtered incoherently, arms flailing. “That was entirely inappropriate. You shouldn’t look at other people’s devices without their permission. It’s rude, demeaning, and an invasion of privacy!”
“Forget that, what’s this about a date?” Sero leaned in on Kaminari’s other side.
“Iida and (L/N) were texting,” Kaminari announced “They asked him out to dinner, he said yes, and they send a heart emoji.”
“What color?” Aoyama demanded, squinting.
“Red.”
“Oh my,” Aoyama leaned back in his seat, a coy smirk playing across his lips.
Sero chuckled, leaning across Kaminari’s lap to pat Tenya on the arm. “You lucky bastard.”
The blue haired boy brushed his hand away, bristling. “Not that my personal activities are any of your concern, but it’s not a date. We’re just going to get something to eat.”
“I’m not an expert or anything, but I don’t think many people go out one-on-one for dinner if it’s platonic.” Midoriya pointed out.
“Yeah, plus, that emoji says a lot.” Kirishima added “(L/N) clearly means this to be a date. If you don’t feel the same way about them, you need to tell them.”
“You don’t want to go on a date with (L/N)?” Todoroki asked, raising an eyebrow “I would’ve thought you’d be happy for an opportunity like that.”
“See! Even Todoroki can see you’ve got it bad for them!” Sato exclaimed, pointing an accusatory finger at the confused heterochromic boy.
Tenya ignored his overly-excited classmates. He flipped back through his conversation with (L/N), staring at every text until he’d inadvertently memorized them all.
Me: Is this a date?
. . .
“So much for subtly, I guess.” Kyoka remarked.
“Subtly gets you nowhere with Iida!” Ochaco insisted “You have to be upfront with him!”
“But I sent him a heart,” You groaned for the fourth time.
“Well, there’s no sense in bemoaning it now.” Momo reasoned.
“It was a calculated risk.” Toru admitted, an undercut of worry in her voice.
“A risk, huh?” You chuckled humorlessly “I seem to be taking a lot of those tonight.”
Ding!
Seven pairs of eyes darted to your overturned phone at the same moment. No one moved an inch.
“Well,” Tsu nudged you “are you going to look at it?”
You gulped, shakily taking the device. The girl’s gathered around you. As you opened your text messages.
Iida: Is this a date?
“No backing down now!” Ochaco squealed, gripping your shoulders tightly and shaking you.
“Go, go, go, go, go!” Mina bounced on her knees like it was a sporting event.
You took a deep breath, then texted back.
. . .
(L/N): That was the idea, lol. It doesn’t have to be if you don’t want it to be, tho
Tenya pursed his lips, showing the response to Midoriya.
“C’mon, Iida.” His friend chuckled lightly “Just tell them the truth.”
The truth. He did want it to be a date, but a simple “I want to go on a date with you” didn’t seem sufficient. It wouldn’t do justice to how he really felt.
Tenya had already taken a risk tonight, so what was one more? But knowing what he now knew about your feelings, it didn’t seem quite so scary anymore.
Me: I’d love nothing more than to go on a date with you, (L/N). Truth be told, I’ve wanted to for a while now, I just haven’t had the courage to ask you myself. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. ❤️

"Dating is hard." Bucky groaned dropping himself beside you on the couch.
Giggling you nodded in agreement. "Welcome to the twenty-first century."
Bucky groaned again as he closed his eyes allowing his head to meet the back of the couch.
Turning to face him, you became mesmerized by his features. Following his jawline with your eyes, you trailed along to his lips. As you gazed at them, you couldn't stop the thoughts of wondering what they'd feel like against yours. Would they be soft? Would they be gentle or rough?
"Hey." He spoke softly as he gently nudged you. "Did you hear what I said?" Sitting up, his gaze was filled with concern.
"Huh?" You creased your eyebrows together, as you watched his lips mouth his words. "Oh, uh, n-no. Sorry."
"S'alright." Bucky grinned, his eyes gazing around your face. "I asked if you found out any information about your mom?"
"Oh." You whispered. Clearing your throat, you adjusted your position away from Bucky. "Yeah, yeah, I did."
Lifting his gaze, his ocean eyes held intently onto Y/E/C ones. Silently he was pleading for you to tell him what you found.
"Well." You sighed, crossing your legs underneath you. "She was the scarlet witch back in the day..." Your voice trailed off as you shrugged your shoulders. Promptly, your gaze dropped to your lap as you studied your chipped nail polish.
"Y/N." He spoke, his voice becoming soft once again. Bucky's thumb and forefinger found your chin before maneuvering your face closer to his. Bucky's breath danced along your lips at your close proximity.
"That's...That's-"
Sam'ss apartment door suddenly burst open as Steve and Sam filed inside. Neither one spared a glance your way as they rushed into the kitchen.
The sudden noise, caused both of you to jump away from one another. Clearing your throat, you quickly rose to your feet. Smoothing down your bunched-up shirt, you quickly joined Sam in the kitchen while passing Steve on his way out.
Letting out a sigh of relief, you leaned against one of the counters crossing your arms along your chest.
Sam cleared his throat, as he looked at you in question from across the kitchen island. "So, when are you two going to stop dancing around your feelings for one another?" He raised an eyebrow in the process.
Groaning, you leaned your head back allowing you to stare at the ceiling. Opening and closing your mouth several times, you frowned before moving to lean against the island, facing Sam.
"Don't try and deny it," Sam spoke shrugging. "Everyone can see it."
"Sam." You warned letting out a defeated huff. "He doesn't see me that way."
Sam shook his head. Before he could open his mouth, both Steve and Bucky barged into the kitchen bickering about something only they knew about. Grinning to yourself, a silent chuckle fell past your lips. Returning your gaze to Sam, he sent you a knowing look.
"I, rather, Bucky, has an important announcement," Steve spoke proudly, as he clasped his hands upon Buckys shoulders. "Go on, tell 'em what you just told me, Buck."
Both men shared a chuckle before he turned to face, you and Sam. A pit began forming in your stomach as you felt your heart fall into your stomach. Attempting to shake the feeling, you turned to Bucky giving him your full attention.
"I...I have a date." He spoke grinning from ear to ear.
Instantly, the feel of the room had changed from elated to disappointment. Furrowing your eyebrows together in confusion, you felt the smile that your lips had previously been holding falter to a frown. While tears began welling in your eyes.
Your mouth had become dry, while you felt a rasp forming in your throat. "W-What?"
The three men turned their attention towards you. Steve and Bucky shared the same confused yet concerned etched expression, while Sam wore one of sorrow.
"I...I have to go." You muttered, rushing out of the kitchen.
As you gathered your belongings, you felt the droplets of your tears that had fallen from your cheeks. Muffled sobs began falling as you felt yourself beginning to sniffle in the process.
Your mind was quickly clouded, preventing you from thinking straight. Gathering what you could, you quickly put your shoes on before bolting.
Attempting to gather your composure, you made your way back to the compound. You had felt surprised that you were able to hold it together the entire ride back.
Busting into your room, you made your way to the shower in hopes it would comfort you. Changing into a pair of comfier clothes, you laid on your bed, staring out of your bedroom window at the night lights of the city. Your mind was quickly clouded with thoughts of how many other people were experiencing heartbreak as well.
The sound of someone knocking on your door caused you to jump.
"Who is it?" You questioned, hoping deep down it would be Bucky wanting to check up on you.
"It's Wanda." She spoke. "Can I come in?"
"FRIDAY, can you please unlock my door?"
Wanda rushed in making sure to lock the door behind her. Throwing her arms around you, she pulled you in for a bone-crushing hug. Before you knew it, the floodgates had opened. Tears streamed down your face as sobs shook through your body, as your arms laced around her holding her in your iron grip. Without a word, Wanda held you tighter as her hand ran up and down your back. The only sound in your room was the sobs that fell past your lips.
After some time had passed, Wanda pulled away enough to create a slight space between you. Your cheeks carried a pink tint upon them. Your eyes falling down to her shirt that had produced a slightly darker spot upon it than anywhere else on it.
"S-Sorry." You hiccuped feeling tears welling up in your eyes again.
Wanda giggled, shaking her head slightly. "Don't worry about it."
"I don't mean to intrude-" Vision's voice startled both you and Wanda. Turning to face the android, you raised an eyebrow in question.
"Vis." Wanda whined. "We talked about this."
"Oh, yes." Vision spoke glancing back in the direction he had gone through the wall. "I...Y/N, sounded like she was in trouble."
Glancing at Wanda, her expression had morphed into one of being mortified. The sound of hearty laughter bubbled up inside you. It wasn't long before tears cascaded down your cheeks for an entirely different reason. Holding an arm across your stomach, you placed your free hand upon Wanda's forearm attempting to keep yourself sturdy. It didn't take much longer before both Wanda and Vision were sharing your hysterical laughter.
Wiping the remainder of your tears, you got up from your place on the bed approaching Vision. Throwing your arms around his shoulders, you pulled him in for a warmth-filled hug.
Vision tensed as he was under the impression he had miss read the situation.
Pulling away from him, you gave him a toothy smile. "Thank you."
Returning to your previous position beside Wanda, you pulled her in for a hug giving her a smile.
It was a few days before you'd see Bucky again. You had gone out of your way with the help of Steve, Sam, Wanda, Vision, and FRIDAY to make sure you wouldn't run into him accidentally.
Taking a deep breath, you stood across from the living room attempting to steady your nerves. With a sudden boost of courage, you made your way inside, making a b-line for Bucky.
Clearing your throat, you bounced on the balls of your feet slightly. Bucky quickly glanced up from his book before doing a double-take. The color draining from his face as if he had seen a ghost.
"I-Is this seat taken?" You questioned offering him a sweet smile.
"Yeah." He spoke while shutting his book.
Your smile faltering at his confession as you felt heat dance along your cheeks.
"By you."
Letting out a breath you hadn't known you were holding, you nodded before sliding beside him on the loveseat.
A suffocating silence fell between you. Bucky had made a conscious decision to make sure his leg and shoulder wouldn't accidentally bump yours, not wanting to cross any lines.
"So-"
"I-"
Sharing a toothy smile, you began giggling that turned into fits of laughter. Any remaining tension that lingered was disintegrated. Letting his guard down, his leg was pressed firmly against yours. While his arm rested on the back of the couch directly behind your head.
"You first," Bucky spoke, motioning towards you.
Nodding your head, you cleared your throat. "I...I... Um..." Closing your eyes, you felt your heart drop once again. "I have feelings for you...And I know I lost my chance, but I don't want to risk losing your friendship too.." Your voice trailed off, while you dropped your eyes to your fingernail bed, pushing back your cuticles. "I'd...I'd like to hear about your date."
Glancing at Bucky from your peripherals, you were able to see his jaw had fallen slack. The more seconds that passed by, the more you felt hours had passed. Time had slowed down.
"I...I should go." Before he could respond, you raced out of the living room locking yourself in your bedroom.
As the shock of your confession fell away, he reached for his phone. The realization of how long overdue the call was crossed his mind.
Rushing out of the compound, Bucky dashed to the agreed-upon meeting place.
"There you are." A light voice greeted him. "I was beginning to think you weren't going to show."
Greeting him with a hug, Bucky stiffened at the contact. Pulling away from her, he shoved his hands into his pockets.
"The name's Agnes." She grinned, holding her hand out expectantly towards Bucky.
"Bucky." He spoke, nodding at her.
"Shall we-"
"Listen, Agnes." He let out a sigh. "This...This isn't going to work out."
Letting out a frustrated sigh, she rolled her eyes. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this, this century, but here we are." Moving her arms, time froze around her.
"What-"
Before Bucky knew it, Agnes let out a snarl before lunging at Bucky. Dodging her first attack, Bucky gazed at her with widened eyes.
"Fine. We can do this, the hard way." She chuckled. Moving her hands a purple hue enveloped around Bucky.
Binding his wrists and ankles, Bucky was hovering slightly above the ground. "Why are you doing this?"
"Don't worry, it's not you I want." She spoke circling around him.
Without allowing Bucky to further question her, she pulled her shell necklace out from underneath her blouse. Standing directly in front of Bucky, she held her necklace in front of him. Gazing into his eyes, she saw them change to purple orbs before returning to his previous artic color.
Waving her hand, the purple mist was gone. Time resuming.
"There you are Agnes sweetheart. I was looking everywhere for you." Bucky greeted, placing his hands on her hips gently tugging her into him. Placing his lips upon her cheek, he gave her a chaste kiss.
Agnes, grinned devilishly, as a plan began forming in her mind.
Wondering down the street, you made your way to your favorite coffee shop.
"Y/N!" Bucky's voice called before you.
Your shoulders dropping in defeat as you let out a groan.
"I want you to meet someone."
Turning to face Bucky, you were surprised to see a brunette clinging to his side.
"Y/N, this is Agnes." He motioned to her with his free hand. "My girlfriend."

Chapter 9 Chapter 11
Loud announcement after loud announcement blasted from the speakers as the police spoke. Repeating the same few sentences over and over again. His stomach turned as anxiety took hold of him. Izuku Midoriya stood nearly a block away from the scene as he watched. He and Bakugou were given orders to sit on the perimeter and wait in case they were needed. Having experienced The League before, their assistance was helpful. But everyone was hoping it wouldn't be needed. For now, everyone's top priority was you. Bakugou huffed in frustration, folding his arms across his chest as he watched.
"I don't get it. We should just round them up while we still can. If we don't act fast, they'll slip out of our hands again." He growled.
"Arrest isn't our top priority right now. The hostage's safety is. We can't risk any harm coming to her. You know that." Midoriya answered. The blonde scoffed and spoke again after a long pause.
"I still can't believe it."
"Believe what?"
"That he has a daughter. You'd think he would have mentioned something like that by now. After all these years. Especially one with such a strong quirk."
"Yeah...I don't have kids of my own so, I don't know much about that but...It's odd isn't it? That he never mentioned her. Not even to us." Bakugou thought for a moment.
"Maybe it was the mom. Maybe she kept it that way. We don't know much about her."
"No...that doesn't sit right. Her mom seems intense, sure. But that's his daughter. I don't know about you, but if I had a kid like her, I wouldn't be able to stop talking about her. So, it doesn't make sense why someone like him..."
"They were young, right? About our age?"
"That's right."
"Think about it. If you and Ururaka got pregnant right now, what do you think would happen?"
"Thats different, she's a hero too-"
"No. Really. Think about it. If she told you tomorrow you were gonna have a kid, how would you feel?" Midorya thought for a moment.
"Scared, I guess."
"Would you slow down your hero work? After everything you've done, all the work you've put into this. Would you risk it all to be a proper father? And what about her? Would Ururaka be okay putting her life on hold for that kid? I doubt it."
"I see what you're saying. But that still doesn't explain why we're just finding out about her now."
"I'm sure he was just trying to protect her from shit like this happening. It's clear he still cares for her. It was probably his was of keeping her safe. As messed up as that is."
"I studied All Might my entire life. Became his successor and student. And still...I feel like I never really knew him until now."
"Mh."
"You're still my most valuable player. You're staying right here." Shigaraki's voice purred as his grip tightened around your arm. Pulling you closer to him. You felt your blood quickly rush up to your cheeks. The hot feeling coursing through your veins. You heard the loud squeak of a chair shifting across the floor. Your quirk unwittingly being activated. He ignored the sound, his deep red eyes glaring into yours as his scarred brow bone curved over them in a tight scowl. His eyes, so brilliant and full of passion. You were lost in them. Time always seemed to stop when he did this.
"Boss! We gotta get out of here! We can't fight them all!" Spinner shouted, tearing those eyes away from you. How long had he been starring at you? Was he just as lost as you? You were doubtful. If he was lost in anything, it was probably his rage. His grip on you loosened, slowly dropping your arm almost like he was reluctant to.
"The truck. Is the truck ready?"
"Yes, but I doubt we can get out of here without being caught."
"Of course not. That's why we'll need a distraction. Until then we need time. Toga, the phone, quick." She jumped at the command. Grabbing a smartphone of hers and quickly adjusting it to film. Shigaraki's hands quickly found your body again. But they weren't nearly as harsh as last time, just firm. Man handling you to appear threatening. One hand coming around your neck from behind to display his fingers, and the other around your arm. He pressed you against his body.
"Filming!" Toga shouted.
"You heroes should know better than to just barge into such a delicate situation. The conditions are simple. Make one wrong move, and the girl is dust. I'll even leave her in a pretty little urn for you, hehehe, All Might."
"Cut! Edit and send to the heroes right?"
"And social media, anything to get it on the news. Dabi, Twice, is there a way for you to contact our friends on the outside?"
"But boss! They have us tapped! They'll be prepare for our escape!" Twice shouted.
"They've planned for it already. We've lost the element of surprise. We need results."
"Shigaraki?" You croaked.
"What!?" He shouted in your ear. You winced, holding your free had up to tap at his wrist around your neck.
"Could you, loosen up a bit?" He swiftly pulled his hands away from you. Watching you gently cough and regain your breath.
"We're not, really going to kill her, are we?" Toga pulled her attention away from her phone and shuffled closer to you. Turning to be in-between you and Shigaraki, almost to protect you from being grabbed again.
"No. Not if we plan to get out of here." He and turned sat down on the couch, his hands coming up to rub against his sore neck. Toga patted your back.
"You alright there? You're burning up. You're not sick are you?"
"No...No Im fine."
"You sure?"
"I'm fine. Thank you, Toga." It made her smile to hear you say that.
"Don't worry. Tomura's smart. He'll get us out safe, you'll see." You smiled back at her.
"I'm sure. But somehow I doubt I'll see you again. So, if this is goodbye-"
"Don't say that!" Toga shouted. "We're gonna stick together. Remember? I promised you I wouldn't let anyone hurt you!" You starred at her with wide eyes as your heart raced in your chest. A loud flutter.
"But, Toga."
"But nothing, friends stick together, right?" You nodded. "Then that settles it! We're taking her with us, aren't we guys?" Confused faces looked up at the two of you. "Well?"
"Uh- Sure." Spinner shrugged.
"Hell No - Alright!" Twice shouted.
"Heh, alright." Dabi chuckled.
"Tomura?" Toga called the absent-minded man.
"Huh?"
"We're taking her with us, right? She's one of us now!" Toga reached for your hand and curled her fingers between yours. Shigaraki looked up at her, his eyes lost in thought. "Tomura!" She scolded him like a little sister. He blinked a few times, shaking his attention to you.
"Are you, Y/L/N? Are you one of us?" You froze for a moment. No. Of course not. You're not a villain. You're not like these people! You're a heroes' kid! You're not evil! You're a good person!
You opened your mouth to speak, an overwhelming cacophony of thoughts keeping you from answering. For the first time in your entire life, you had been cared for in a way you never had before. No longer reliant on a bottle of pills to function properly. No longer forced to be productive. No pressure to be anything special. You could grow here. You could be yourself here. The room buzzed with energy at the activation of your quirk. Your emotional state boiling to a head, you opened your mouth to answer but before you could speak-
The building began to shake underneath you. You were thrown to the floor, eyes darting everywhere in search for the cause. The sound of explosions blasted above you, while what sounded like a bulldozer echoed below.
"Damn it! They're coming from both ends!" Dabi announced, gaining his balance to perform a ready stance before his blue flames emerged.
"C'mon Shigaraki! What do we do!" Twice shouted as he clung onto the man's forearm. The rest of you inching closer and closer to each other.
The blasts above became louder and louder until it became evident it was right above. Your stomach turned as you came to the realization. Before the order left his lips you had reached for a table across the room and brought it up above your small group for protection.
"Y/L/N!" Just in time for it to deflect the shrapnel of drywall that burst from the explosion above. Suddenly the floor below gave way, sending the six of you falling through the open air. There were supposed to be several floor to the building, but thanks to the hero, Deku, flimsy walls of the already rotting building had been quickly demolished within seconds.
You watched yourself fall, your hand desperately reaching for anything to hold on to. Failing and plummeting down with the rest of them. You watched as the DynaMight emerged from the smoke above to watch you with a satisfied grin plastered over his face.
The cries of the others behind you filled your ears. Why wasn't this hero doing something? Why wasn't he jumping to catch you? To catch the others? Is going to let you fall to your deaths? You can't let him do that! Quick- Quick- your quirk- catch them!
After a few attempts at activation in your panic, you were able to catch the others in the air. Just before their bodies hit the concrete of the building basement. Dropping them down from a safe few feet. The fall was uncomfortable, but a relief to you and the others that you could work so quickly.
But your success was short-lived as the building trembled and quaked with another explosion. You looked up just in time to watch what was left of the old hide out to come crashing down around you. Leaving you trapped in the basement, in complete darkness.
"THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" A familiar shriek echoed in Bakugou and Midoriya's ear pieces. They both jolted at the painful intrusion. Your mother, having just stolen a police walky talky huffed on the other end.
"Our apologies ma'am but they're fine. I saw it with my own eyes. They're just trapped under debris. Everything is going according to plan." Midoriya reassured.
"Ac- ACCORDING TO PLAN!? You mean to tell me, young man, that you intended to trap my daughter in with her KIDNAPPERS, WHO THREATENED TO KILL HER!?" She spat, understandably.
"If they wanted her dead by now, she would be. Shigaraki doesn't play games unless it's necessary. Trust me." Bakugou barked.
"So now what? We just wait until this psychopath decays his way loose?"
