It is not my night tonight lmao. I just had to order a new phone bc the screen on my current one cracked severely. I have no idea how this happened as I did not drop or hit it, but it happened. And then when I was ordering, despite my seeing that the wrong address was listed and manually changing the shipping address to my current apartment, something went wrong at checkout, and it reverted the shipping address back to my parents' house in another state.
#boo hisss#this is all such first world problem nonsense but I'm so peeved lol#also I cut my finger chopping vegetables tonight#and I'm usually extremely careful in the kitchen. so this like the 2nd time I've ever done that in my life#the silver lining is that my mobile provider had phones on sale. so at least I got the new one for cheap#but the address thing. ugh#I won't be there anytime soon. so I'll have to ask my parents to ship it to me when it arrives there#maybe pay for their postage#invasion of the frogs

Let your S(e)oul take you where you long to be - pt 1
a.k.a. finally writing my phantom korea travelogue
Watching Phantom in Korea has been this big goal of mine since December 2012.
When I saw the vast spread of Phantom merchandise at the Blue Square theatre and how they decked the theatre with a Phantom tree and had all sorts of Phantom-themed food, it became crystal clear that Korea goes hard for Phantom like no other, and I wanted to be part of that action.
I planned to visit Seoul when the World Tour revival was slated to visit in 2020, but that one got axed and squashed as a pandemic would do to hopes and dreams.
Cut to October 2021, news of a new Korean production got out around, but I was pessimistic. The borders were still closed and who knew for how much longer. Even as they started reopening toward 2022, there was a quarantine / covid-19 test requirement upon arrival. Then our local Korean embassy started taking a hardhanded stance on applications that made it difficult for visas to be issued. Add to that, the fact that the embassy have limited slots every month.
The odds were wildly stacked against me, but travel restrictions eased up and nothing serves as a better motivator than watching people you know actually go to the place.
Months of mental prep, doing things for the first time, and many expenditures later, I was deemed worthy of a visa. The next step was a ticket to the show…which was an entirely different main quest on its own.
Buying show tickets in Korea is like a national sport
I witnessed this during the first waves of Phantom Seoul tickets sale. The moment the dates open, you would find most of the tickets are already gone. So you are left to buy what's left but even when you manage to click on one, another person is likely completing their purchase ahead of you.
I did manage to snag a Jeon Dong-seok ticket. But the Cho Seung-woo one, I didn't manage to get until a month later.
I have to pause and thank @fadinglandtragedy for actually answering my questions, providing valuable tips, and encouraging me when I myself have given up lol.
The beauty of tickets in Korea is you can actually cancel and if you are early, you can get your money back with minimal processing fee. That means cancellations peek now and then when the ticket vendors refresh their systems everyday. I was able to move to a better row for my JDS show, and I eventually managed to buy my CSW ticket (that no one fought me for 😭😭😭😭😭).
But it took extreme patience, nightly refreshes, and trying not to nod asleep. It was worth it in the end.
So I only had to find a decent airfare, accommodations, and wake up insanely early to catch the flight, and print out all the things to prove to the immigration officer that I'm not pulling a Valjean on his Javert. 🥲🥲🥲
Tip: Overseas fans can buy through Yes24 and Global Interpark, but I highly recommend Yes24 for the exclusive ticket sleeves and the fact that they have a mobile app that you can use to book, stalk last-minute tickets, and eventually claim them.
Tip 2: For faster purchase using Yes24, look into loading your cc info in Paypal so you'd just be one click away to everything. For some reason I found the native cc method a bit harder to deal with (and it charged me more for some reason).
Korea things and hopefully an actual review to follow!

Michelle
I dont think of myself as a nice guy, I prefer to be a good guy. I strive towards this as I think nice guys just get shat on.
So, in 2013 I went to Jamaica and met Michelle. I actually stayed at her place and we shared an appreciation of alcohol. During my time there, Michelle took me to see her friend at Hart training which I think was a government body. A waste of time as the woman there asked me to send my CV and ideas when I got back to UK, which I did and am still awaiting a reply some 8 years later.
Anyway, Michelle wanted to use her place, Michelles Great House, for training in the area that I work in, Management, CPD etc. So there have been a number of false starts and last time I thought if this doesnt happen then I'm not bothering. It didnt
However, I went back on that as the new idea involved her sister and a new venue which she had recently built with her husband, John.
So, I was asked to put something together which basically was like a job application to show what I can bring to the table. So, once again, I bit and produced this:
How to be part of it
The two areas that we discussed:
Customer Service
Change Management
A little about Coaching too
We discussed Taster Sessions to provide Management buy-in; so, like a sales pitch. These sessions might be of 2hrs max. duration. They may have to be a Loss-Leader to start with until we become the Partner of Choice for organisations. It then becomes arguable whether we would need them.
Briefly discussed follow-up sessions; for example, Basic to Advanced or maybe better phrasing would be Practitioner to Master Class?
So, the H/W set was:
How can I be part of it?
Do I want to be part of it?
Yes, I want to be part of it, after 8 years of planning; I think this might be the time when it comes together.
So, the ‘How’ really comes down to what you need and can I provide that. So, the next section is going to read like a CV [Resume for any Canadians readingJ].
I am internationally mobile; I’m not tied to any one country; so, Jamaica and Canada pose no problems. I have an Irish [EU] passport so I can easily access those countries if ever we needed to
I have experience of writing courses to Awarding Body standards and to bespoke guidelines
I have experience of working with Awarding Bodies to create accredited courses and conform to their quality standards
I am skilled in writing for self and for other trainers to deliver
Experience in many sectors:
Government [UK and internationally]
Work-Related
Management
Offender
Initial Teacher Training
Experience of planning class / training room layout to optimise learning experience
I have an Assessor Qualification which allows me to perform graded observations on other trainers [if needed] and ensure quality of provision
I can oversee the physical provision:
Hardware
Need to have / nice to have
Training room layout
The intellectual provision [offer]:
To write and resource courses
Delivery to a high standard
Ensuring quality and standardisation between events and trainers
To perform course interviews
To coach participants
Money:
The profit is in repeats as there are no R&D costs
Value-Addedness or better Enrichment activities shouldn’t cost a lot. So, in-house activities more than field trips? If we thought that these could be an option when booking probably managers would not take them up to keep their costs down; so, they should be just ‘what we do’ our USP if you like.
So, what are we going to pay ourselves? I remember researching this some years ago and I found that top trainers were commanding a daily fee of £1000+ [about 1700 Canadian]. Please don’t think that’s what I want but we have to come to a figure that we can all live with whilst supporting a healthy company.
Further Thoughts:
Since the meeting I’ve been thinking about Train the Trainer courses of various duration Note, I have 2-day courses, 3-week courses ready to run [both C&G courses but we can adapt]
Coaching Skills might be an avenue worth exploring as a short course
Crucially, for quality purposes at least, everyone that is client-facing should receive training in Presentation Techniques, so we are all singing from the same hymn sheet. There can be nothing that undermines a company more than a client talking to one of us and then getting a different answer from someone else in the company. So, professionalism really.
Is this what you wanted?
Questions:
How long do you want the courses to be?
Group size [ultimately this will determine cost to individual / organisation]
What will our commitment be timewise? We talked a little about this but it’ll probably remain a grey area until we know how successful we are
Consider creating an organisational chart
“If it’s not fun, it’s not worth doing” – some Irish guy, 2024
So, I sent it to them and waited. Then I asked whether that was what they wanted and I got back 'Partially'. She said she wanted to start in January
So, we had a few more meetings and I told her that my lease was coming to an end mid-October and I need to know whether we're going ahead or what as I could put my stuff in storage or find a new place here in Thailand
12th September I was told that her sister was coming to Jamaica and they would talk and come to a good decision. The weekend came and went, my birthday [16th] came and went without any message. so I left it for 2 weeks and still nothing. So, I found a new property and put a 22,000 baht deposit on it to move in 15th October.
I'm not angry with Michelle, I'm just disappointed in me falling for it again. Hope will kill you. But, I'm retired. I was coming out of retirement for this project. I dont need it
But I really wont be falling for any of this again. I'm sure I'll get a call in December asking me when I'm coming. Oh, well.

Insights over Africa Telecom Market from Babacar Niang: Interview Transcript
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with one of our exceptional employees, Director of BD in Africa Region, Babacar Niang, to delve into his unique experiences, insights, and expertise. In this exclusive interview, we explored different aspects of his journey within our company and gained valuable perspectives on industry trends and challenges. We are excited to share the full transcript of our conversation, where you can discover firsthand the inspiring stories.
Full Interview Transcript
Interviewer: Welcome to IPLOOK's Headquarter. Could you please introduce yourself? Babacar: Thank you so much to give (me) the opportunity to talk today. My name is Babacar Niang. I'm from West Africa, Senegal, Dakar based. I cover the entire African French countries, in West and Central Africa. I joined IPLOOK two years ago and I'm initially design telecommunication engineer. Recently I'm more focusing on marketing and the strategy of sales to help the company to grow on a wide level.
Interviewer: As this is your first time at IPLOOK's HQ, we're interested to know your initial impressions. Babacar: The first impression that I got is that, the team is a very solid and open-minded team, which means we have enough force and challenge to make this company grow. When I arrived, I met the CEO of the company, Mr.Tom Lyu. He is very open minded, and we made some deep discussions regarding the strategy of the company.
Interviewer: That's great to hear. What's your main goal of this trip to IPLOOK's HQ? Babacar: I'm here to follow the production and also to support Daniel, Global Project Delivery Project Manager at IPLOOK, for PMO. Usually IPLOOK only provides solution for its competencies. I mean, 4G/5G core and IMS here is totally separated. We provide original base stations, mobile core, AAA solution. We provide the BRAS/BNG, switches, servers; we provide the cloud, the private cloud. So all this kind of puzzle need to be well organized and managed to provide the best solution for the customer.
Interviewer: You've been with IPLOOK for 2 years. Could you share with us your experience working for IPLOOK in Africa? Babacar: The situation was not very easy because our main competitor is big company, like Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia and ZTE. But according to the new approach and the strategy I define and now our customers begin to know our brand in Africa and this it's because of the support of the team behind.
Interviewer: Any representative projects to share? Babacar: Right now the biggest project that we are driving is, in Central Africa, in Congo with Congo Telecom. It's a converged project where we will provide data services, voice and also video. So it's a big challenge for us.
Interviewer: Talking about challenges, what challenges IPLOOK has met in Africa and how has IPLOOK addressed them? Babacar: When I come in IPLOOK, initially, I have changed the strategy of the group. But I want to emphasize one thing: I have the full support of the management team behind. I mean, Mr. Tom, the CEO and Mr. Jarod, the VP and all other team members. I told them that I feel like to make a new strategy, a new method to go widely, to win a big project. And not to go only for full MVNO or mobile core. IPLOOK, from now, will take the global project and we will contact our vendors, our partners to outsource them some part of this business. But the final signature part will be IPLOOK's.
Interviewer: From your perspective, what strategies can IPLOOK employ to further penetrate the African market? Are there any specific aspects we should pay more attention to? Babacar: You know the marketing moves from the "4P" to the "4X" now. Initially we have Place, Promotion and Plan. But right now we are more focusing on customer experience. And for providing customer experience, we need to combine the many solutions together, to be more efficient, to penetrate the market and today the employer of IPLOOK must be very open-minded and has a very wide competencies and agile to propose an integrated solution. And now the telecom industry move from one product, one solution to convergence product and integrated solution.
Interviewer: What is the current state of the telecom industry in Africa? How do you see the telecom industry evolving in Africa over the next few years? Babacar: The telecom industry in Africa is the same like the global worldwide telecom industry. The future now is the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite. The smart cities, the digital communications, the cybersecurity and all this kind of things need to have a very strong core network. And IPLOOK is already provisioning the core network. And we need to just add some extra modules in our core part to be more innovative in this industry.
Interviewer: What's the advantage of IPLOOK? How does IPLOOK has constantly been differentiating to stay ahead of the competition in Africa? Babacar: First of all, we have very good price in entrance price, for entry-level customers. Another big advantage of IPLOOK is combining the 4G and 5G together with IMS. We make the combining, the all-in-one. For example, we have one or two products in our roadmap: We combine both 3G/4G/5G and IMS together in one box. This can be a good solution for penetrating the African market.
Interviewer: Would you like to say something to our current customers and potential customers in Africa? Babacar: IPLOOK is the best choice for the future. It's not just a word, but we have so many projects under development. In the near future, customers will see, going with us will be the right choice and the right way.
Interviewer: Thank you for your time and insights. Enjoy your trip with IPLOOK! Babacar: Appreciate it. Thank you for the interview.

Today’s Tips: Staying Warm
It’s starting to get really cold and yucky where I live, so I thought it would be a good time for this post. I know a lot of us spoonies have trouble with temperature regulation, and cold weather can cause all kinds of flares. I’m actually allergic to cold (thanks mast cells. not.) so I’ve had to become kind of an expert on how to stay warm. Here’s what I’ve discovered!
-Undershirts. Wearing a tight camisole or t shirt as my first layer makes a huge difference in staying warm for me. Leggings under loose pants also helps. I think it’s keeping any cold air from getting directly to my skin, and layers in general are good too!
-Have something hot to drink or eat. Plus then you get a warm mug to hold!
-Socks and/or slippers are good for keeping warm overall. Hiking socks are designed to be warm and provide extra cushioning, and if you buy simple ones in bulk, the price isn’t too bad.
-Cozy hat or earwarmers. Your head and ears give off a lot of heat! There’s no shame in wearing these when you’re inside either. If you’re not allowed to wear a hat, you may still get away with a fleece headband or those big headphones. But also, dress code exemptions for disability are a thing!
-Face mask. I’ve been wearing a mask due to allergies since even before the pandemic, and I discovered that a fabric mask does a really good job at keeping me warm! Plus, it’s easier than trying to get a scarf to stay wrapped over your nose.
-Hot packs. You know, those bean bag type things you can put in the microwave so they’re warm? Those! Especially good if cold weather makes you achy, hot packs will help. There’s also instant hot packs that are made to go in your pockets when you’re outside. And reusable instant hot packs! (https://shopatshowcaseusa.com/products/repeat-heat-pack?variant=34364718743689) You just boil them to reset them, and they’re fun to squish.
-Electric blanket. I know this costs money, so it’s not ideal for everyone. But if you have this in your budget (even for a little electric heating pad) and you’re always cold like me, I don’t think you’ll regret buying it. When I’m absolutely frozen and cannot get warm, this is the only thing that works. And it’s very very cozy!
-Invest in a good winter coat. I finally got a nice one, and it’s like magic how warm it is compared to layering other coats. And I can drape it over my legs when I’m sitting inside somewhere. I got mine from Sierra for 50% off, and looking at styles from past seasons during the spring might also find you some good sales.
-Move around. When I’m freezing at school and can’t get warm, I go walk up and down the stairs a few times and that helps. The bigger the movements, the more effective it’s going to be at warming you up, but of course this depends on your mobility, so be careful!
-Hugs! Your partner, your friends, your parents, your dog- if you like hugs, they’re a great way to borrow some body heat when you don’t have enough of your own:)
-Keep an extra layer in your bag and/or car, so you always have one with you. This could be a sweatshirt, hat, blanket, whatever you like.
-Fingerless gloves of any kind give you a little extra warmth when you still need your hands available for typing and whatnot.
-Arrange your furniture to take full advantage of the building’s heat. This means making sure that none of the heating vents or radiators or blocked off. And also setting up the furniture so the furniture you use the most is nearest to the heat source. This more applies to older buildings with uneven heating, but I live in a new house and can’t even begin to tell you how many times I accidentally had the heating vents closed!
-Put your clothes in the dryer for a few minutes before putting them on. Having to change clothes makes you cold in the first place, but putting on ice cold fabric after makes it even worse.
-Take a hot bath. A hot shower would also work, but then you likely have the problem of wet hair, which makes you even colder! Although, nice warm hair dryer might feel good if that’s something you can do.
As usual, please feel free to add on if you have more tips:)

Article: ‘The Most Powerful Woman in Gaming Wants to Make EA Loved Again’
Laura Miele is helping direct the company toward a future where it’s more attuned with consumers.
One of the first things Laura Miele did when she became chief studios officer of Electronic Arts Inc. three years ago was to gather 19 video game influencers in a conference room. “What do you want me to hear? Lay it on me,” she recalls asking them. “One guy sitting at the corner of the table, he just said, ‘I don’t understand why you don’t give players what they’re asking for.’ ”

One of the first things Laura Miele did when she became chief studios officer of Electronic Arts Inc. three years ago was to gather 19 video game influencers in a conference room. “What do you want me to hear? Lay it on me,” she recalls asking them. “One guy sitting at the corner of the table, he just said, ‘I don’t understand why you don’t give players what they’re asking for.’ ”
It’s something many gamers have wondered about EA for years. The $40 billion company, one of the biggest in gaming, is responsible for Battlefield, Madden NFL, and other megahit franchises. But many gamers have long seen EA as a necessary evil, resenting the direction in which it took some games and bristling at its aggressive attempts to extract money by charging extra for digital items in games that cost as much as $70 upfront. This dissatisfaction was no secret in 2018: Gamers spent their days filling up Reddit and other message boards with free advice for EA—but many felt its decision-makers weren’t listening.
EA’s leadership knows it has to improve that relationship, and Miele is a key player in its efforts to do so. Her focus group asked for new content for Star Wars Battlefront II and requested new types of games. Miele quickly assigned 70 people to the Battlefront development project, which dramatically improved its net promoter score, a measure of how likely people are to recommend the game. She also prompted EA to create a skateboarding game and committed to reintroducing its college football franchise, the two genres at the top of the influencers’ list.
In a sense, the guy at the meeting became a stand-in for all of EA’s long-suffering customers in Miele’s eyes. “I wanted to do right by this player,” she says.
As chief studios officer, Miele manages 6,000 staffers and thousands of contractors globally. She oversees EA’s 24 studios, where she makes personnel decisions and sets strategy, and she’s reshaped how the company uses analytics to create and market its games.
In the process she may have become the most powerful woman in gaming. In a 2019 International Game Developers Association survey, fewer than 30% of the more than 1,100 respondents were women, and few if any hold a more central role at such an important company. “It’s a tough place for a woman,” says Peter Moore, who was Miele’s boss when he was EA’s chief operating officer. “It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but she battled her way through.”
Proving good intentions is more important for EA than ever, as the business model of gaming continues to shift in ways that have the potential to alienate customers. Like its rivals, the company is increasing its focus on free-to-play games, making money through sales of digital products such as outfits and weapons for characters.
There are signs it’s succeeding. Apex Legends, EA’s free-to-play hero shooter game, has posted more than $1 billion in sales since it was first published in 2019, and it continues to grow. “The way to succeed with free-to-play games like that is to listen to and engage your customer base and earn their loyalty through incremental purchases,” says Doug Clinton, managing partner of the venture capital firm Loup Ventures, who says Miele deserves much of the credit for Apex Legends. “It feels like a proof point for her that the company is adapting well beyond traditional disk sales.”
Miele, 51, was born in San Francisco but grew up on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. She got her start in games—the kind that require a board—during family nights, when she pitted herself against her brother in Monopoly, Clue, Yahtzee, and backgammon. While attending the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, she worked at architectural companies. By the time she dropped out she’d moved on from receptionist positions to more senior roles, while gaining a reputation for organizing lunch-hour card games with her co-workers.
Miele landed a job as a project manager at Westwood Studios, a video game developer best known for Command and Conquer, in 1996. She eventually took over all marketing for its parent company, Virgin Interactive.
It wasn’t always a hospitable atmosphere: Miele remembers her colleagues expecting her to take notes at meetings, then clean up afterward. “That is just not something I would do today,” she says. “I adapted a lot because I was so passionate about what I was doing. I found my voice along the way.”
When EA acquired Westwood in 1998, she stayed on. At the time, the company did revenue forecasting by looking at sales data once a month and putting together spreadsheets by hand. Miele was tasked with developing more advanced analytics. She hired a group of data analysts, nicknamed “the Jedi,” and had them build EA’s first statistical regression models to examine sales trends, seasonality, and preorders. It took almost two years to put the system in place, but it overhauled the company’s business processes, and executives were soon using it to determine how to invest in advertising and promotions. “I loved how data and analytics can inform your judgment and your gut instinct,” Miele says.
Miele also decided to make one major break with EA’s existing business practices. In 2011 about 80% of game advertising budgets were spent on TV ads. But she saw how much time gamers spent online and decided to spend the bulk of the ad budget for Battlefield 3 on digital, downplaying other types of ads and cutting the TV ad budget to only 30%.
Messing around with the plan for Battlefield 3 was a good way to make people nervous. Miele remembers two executives calling her in for a meeting and demanding to know why they weren’t seeing billboards for the game as they drove in to the office. “It was scary for me, too, and I don’t blame our executives questioning me on that,” she says. But the game ended up being EA’s fastest-selling, moving more than 5 million copies in its first week. From that point, Miele’s marketing strategy became the standard for the company.
When EA signed a 10-year deal with Walt Disney Co. in 2013, Miele became Star Wars general manager. In 2014 she took over publishing operations, marketing, and other key areas, first in the North American region, then globally in 2016. At the time, the game industry was moving from physical disks to digital downloads, transforming its relationship with retail partners such as Walmart Inc. and Best Buy Co.
Miele was in charge of smoothing things over, explaining that EA would start competing with them for customers even as the retailers accounted for the largest portion of the revenue. “I never said to them, ‘Hey, see you later, we are moving on,’ ” she says. “It was, ‘How can we move forward together?’ ” EA began making physical cards with digital credits that its retail partners could sell at their stores, allowing them to share in the revenue from digital sales.
EA’s studios are spread around the globe, and Covid-19 altered Miele’s routine radically. “It was a very difficult year, and I’m really proud about how our company showed up,” she says. “I considered myself a wartime leader last year. You had to get in a bunker with everybody.”
Days became an endless progression of Zoom calls. To keep up with gamers, Miele started spending evenings listening to Clubhouse chats while answering work emails. Because she hasn’t been on the road, she’s also had more time to dine at home and play board games or Apex Legends and The Sims with her 16-year-old twins. As the pandemic retreats in the U.S., her schedule might change, but she still envisions providing more flexibility to her employees to work from home and office. “I do think we’re going to have a different work environment as we go forward,” she says.
Miele is itching to get back to the studio visits. She’s helping steer EA further toward smartphones. The company plans to release mobile versions of Apex Legends globally this year and spent $2.1 billion in April for Glu Mobile Inc., a mobile game publisher, while also preparing the next releases in its existing franchises. “I think the next Battlefield and the mobile shooter games, along with how successful the M&As come out will be key litmus tests of her management this year,” says Matt Kanterman, an analyst with Bloomberg Intelligence. “Her scope is clearly rising.”

Borahae Slimes Haul #4!
Oh hey look at me doing this within a more timely fashion than the others haha. I ordered every slime from this restock, so get ready for a really long one!
LOOK AT ALL THAT STUFF! All seven slimes: What’s Your Dream, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Lost in a Maze, U Wrong Me Right Ddaeng, Shine Dream Smile, Beautiful Prison, and Not Seven With You. Plus EXTRA candies and goodies because Dean went all out for the anniversary, the photocards and stickers, a thank you card and even a recommended playlist of a bunch of BTS’ most-loved songs over the years! To say I was excited to dig in is an understatement! I was in the middle of getting ready to move (in less than a week at the time I got the package) but I couldn’t help but get into these gorgeous slimes immediately!
As always, you can check out the Instagram (BorahaeSlimes) or blog (@borahaeslimes) for updates! Items are on sale on the Etsy shop by the same name whenever a new restock is up. Dean has been selling out INSTANTLY so be ready to buy at launch to make sure you don’t miss out on the slimes you want! And of course, if you are 18 or older, Dean writes some really awesome mxm fics over at @eternalseokjin! Alright, time to get into the slimes!
Also, I’M SORRY I can’t make the pictures side by side.... I tried editing on mobile to do that but tumblr is dumb and keeps giving me an error and not making the changes v.v
What’s Your Dream
What’s Your Dream is based off of BTS’ debut song, No More Dream. It smells very much of a teenage boy who loves his cologne a little too much (kudos to Dean for making it a smell I can enjoy even though I usually hate cologne smells XD). The bingsu and little crystals give it a lovely texture. Even if I don’t have too much to say about some of the slimes, they’re all really great!
The Most Beautiful Moment In Life
The Most Beautiful Moment In Life is of course inspired by the albums of the same name, and the storyline they started. I had to ask Dean how what I was supposed to do with a “jelly float” slime because I was confused lol. It was kinda cool to see the gray slime just float inside of the clear red before mixing it :) When mixed, it’s still very much a red color, just a little deeper and less clear. The smell is kind of confusing to explain. Dean describes it as “the grey city streets and the sweetness of dying youth.” It does have a bit of an underlying sweetness to the smell, and I think the other part is reminding me of an incense? Overall a very unique and pleasing smell! (Also the charms were perfect and I love the lollipops!)
Lost in a Maze
Lost in a Maze is based off of Young Forever and is a basic slime with a mini fence and some feathers for accessories. I didn’t dare let those feathers anywhere near the slime (lol), but the items certainly match the song! The smell is very soft and refreshing, so it’s a great slime for someone who wants something simple!
U Wrong, Me Right, Ddaeng
This slime was one of the ones I enjoyed the most! U Wrong, Me Right, Ddaeng is based on Ddaeng and is one of his more intricate slimes. The overall texture is so nice and the little pops of color still show through the black really easily even after being fully mixed. The smell is kind of musky. Definitely similar to an incense but personally it reminds me of some of my family’s birthday and holiday parties growing up. I had some relatives who smoked a lot and kept their house completely closed off so those smells would kinda just stick around... That sounds really gross but I promise this scent is a much cleaner smell! The slight muskiness to it just reminds me of that. :)
Shine, Dream, Smile
Shine, Dream, Smile is GORGEOUS. LOOK AT HER. SO BEAUTIFUL. So much glitter and sequins and just uuuggghhhh I love it! Definitely very fitting for a slime based on Mikrokosmos! The purple is so pretty while staying very clear, and it has a very clean, light smell that just puts a smile on my face.
Beautiful Prison
Next up is Beautiful Prison, inspired by ON. When I tell you I had a mini freak out when I saw the state that my slime came in.... It was by no fault of Dean’s! But the clay topper settled a tiny bit into the slime and there was a thin layer of slime covering it. I was so worried! But then I started to very lightly scratch at it and I luckily was able to uncover the topper good enough to get some good pics! When I say that cracking the clay topper is satisfying, I mean it. I’m not a fan of ASMR (it gives me the wrong kind of shivers, more like the kind you get from nails scratching a chalkboard lol), but those little cracking sounds were so satisfying to hear even as I felt bad for destroying that beautiful piece of art. It’s hard to describe the scent, but it is a soft, kind of nature-like smell and I really like it!
Not Seven With You
The SHOWSTOPPER of the release! Not Seven With You is of course, based on We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal and it is AMAZING! So much detail and thought went into this beauty! I was SO upset when the slime was too sticky (because it was HOT that week) when I took it out to put the clay checkboard in the bottom because that meant I’d have to let it sit overnight for the bubbles to come out. But I patiently waited until it was clear enough to get a decent picture. Not perfect, but that’s because I was just too excited to finish playing with it the next morning!
The cloud slimes that come with it provide the lilac and lily scents, and it smells so soft and beautiful! I took my time to play around with it before fully mixing. It’s just so pretty!
When I finally took all the slime out and began to mix, I felt bad for ruining that clay (once again lol) and would have missed the cloud slime texture if I didn’t get some more cloud slime as the free extra! It looked really cool and marbled as I mixed it, so of course I took another picture of that. The ending color is a purple-tinted grey because the black from the checkerboard is just too overpowering. But you’re left with a TON of slime and it’s such an AWESOME texture! I seriously adore it! It’s soft and smooth from the clay, and also airy from the cloud slimes. Kind of like a butter slime, but lighter and softer! This slime was SO AMAZING! My only regret is that I can’t undo the mixing to play with all the individual parts again lol.
Extra Slime
For the extra slime, Dean gave me a white little cloud slime that smells sweet, kind of like bubblegum! I love playing with it because I adore the soft, fluffy texture of cloud slime now that I’ve had a taste of it!
So that’s it! Another AMAZING release from the one and only Dean! Check out the shop on Instagram or here on tumblr for updates when new releases will be coming so you can be sure to get some of his amazing slimes next time!
Also, here’s a bonus. As I mentioned at the beginning, I recently moved. And I got some shelves set up to proudly display all the slimes I’ve gotten from Dean. Here’s a picture of that!

5 Best Enterprise Locations Austin
Find The best Enterprise Store Locations Near Me in New Berlin. Find all the Enterprise reviews, hours, with phone number and more.
1. Enterprise in Austin
Enterprise, 816 Colorado St Austin, TX 78701
Best Reviews
Showed up at my start time, was swiftly greeted by a sales associate (Ashley), and since I had made a reservation and included all my info then, she just asked me for my reservation # and then escorted me to my car. She had a little mobile tablet so we inspected the car together in less than a minute and I was on my way. I brought it back with a minute to spare and Ashley was there again to greet me. She asked me how things went, I said fine, and she said, great, your receipt will be emailed to you. No additional paperwork or even going into the office; she did it all from her tablet right where I dropped off the car.

This review is for Reiker. I suffered a total loss in an auto accident that was not my fault. My insurance policy set a limit of $30/day for a rental car. You may also like: - Enterprise in Atlanta - Enterprise Near Me - Enterprise Store in St Louis - Enterprise Store in Phoenix - Enterprise Miami When I arrived I received a free upgrade because they didn't have any cars under $30 a day. However, the cost of the car plus taxes and fees put me over the daily limit on my policy of $30 a day by about $5-10. Not a big deal for a few days but it starts adding up. I called a day later and that manager refused to honor my request to lower the cost of the car to bring me under the $30 limit a day so I wouldn't have any out of pocket costs. She was not helpful. Then I called Reiker a few days later. He adjusted the cost of the car so I wouldn't pay any other out of pocket costs. I wish I called Reiker earlier!
2. Enterprise in Austin, TX
Enterprise, 3819 Presidential Blvd Austin, TX 78719
Reviews
Car was covered in vomit.... read google review under Chase C. Never got a hold of roadside assistance, as they wouldn't answer the line. Extremely poor customer service from this branch to resolve the issue. Ruined the weekend.

I've rented from Enterprise in the past and the experience has always been pleasant, but this time was by far my best experience. This was the last minute trip due to a death in my family. When I got to the location I was quickly put into my vehicle, and the vehicle I was initially put in had some technical difficulties and when I made the Manager aware he didn't hesitate to get another vehicle which was better than the original vehicle. I appreciated the compassion from the staff and I will forever rent from Enterprise.
3. Enterprise in Austin, TX
Enterprise Store, 88310 Research Blvd Austin, TX 78758
Reviews
I've been here twice and each time I am amazed at how professional the representatives are. It is the best run rental car establishment that I've ever visited.
Customer Reviews
Excellent service and friendly staff! These guys picked us up and brought us back to our apartment even if their schedule was very busy due to the upcoming holidays. I would definitely rent from this Enterprise branch again!
Recommended Reviews
I rented from Enterprise last weekend while my car was in the repair shop. I had family visiting, so by the time I returned my rental car I was completely scatterbrained and told them the wrong repair shop to drive me to. By the time I figured it out, she was long gone and I thought I was stranded and would never make it to work on time. I called Enterprise and she came back, picked me up, and took me to the correct repair shop! I am totally grateful.
4. Enterprise Store in Austin
Enterprise, 7212 W Highway 71 #Ste D Austin, TX 78735
Customer Reviews
Exceptional customer service provided by Connor! I reserved a Rav 4. When I arrived they had to take the Rav to the shop and get a new wheel. I received an upgrade to a Infinity Q80, y'all!! Check in and out was super quick, and my deposit was refunded in 24 hours.
5. Enterprise Store Locations in 78745
Enterprise, 4352 S Interstate 35 Austin, TX 78745
Reviews
Had a great experience with this location. My vehicle was clean and ran perfect and the cherry on top was the amazing customer service. The great people that work there explained everything in good detail and made me feel very welcomed to Austin. Even threw some recommendations my way as well. And on top of that the included shuttle was a good bonus too.

My Top 5 Games of the Past Generation Youtube Script Plus Notes
This is, more or less, the script for My Top 5 Games of the Past Generation video that I just published on Youtube: With the Xbox One and Playstation Four about to head out of the door to make ways for the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5 respectively to lead us into the next generation of consoles were only Nintendo has been sitting comfortably with the Switch, the Wii U has been long gone and Nintendo also recently announced the official end of the Nintendo 3DS line cutting all the ties to this last generation. With that almost everyone is now releasing their lists of the best games of the current generation, myself included, I couldn't help but notice a lot of same-soundy lists such as Game Informer's top 5 list. I myself have to disagree with these, not to say that any and/or all five of those games on Game Informer's Top 5 aren't good, important or worth playing just that I don't think they are the best representative of this generation in terms of impact and wide appeal, so much as had the most money backing them. That these games on the list are more the best representative of the biggest Triple A titles. The games that I had in mind are more impactful on how this generation swayed and set new standards. I want you to keep in mind that while I liked some of these games, these aren't my personal top 5 of the past generation either but I think closer to what best represents our closing era of gaming, when I say the “best games of the current generation.”
First off I'd like to make an honorable mention of PT. PT or playable trailer was supposed to be a demo for the new Silent Hill S game that unfortunately never came to be for the Playstation 4 from Konami. A joint venture between film director Guillermo del Toro and the famous creator of Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima, this demo spooked the pants off of everyone and was probably the reason a lot of people decided to buy a Playstation 4. Unfortunately Konami let Hideo Kojima go under less than favorable conditions and the demo vanished with him in time. Since then the immersive, first person perspective horror game demo changed the landscape of what survival horror could be. We then saw Resident Evil VII by Capcom, the Park by Funcom, Layers of Fear by Aspyr and Death Standing by Hideo Kojima's new studio Kojima Productions that were all heavily influenced by PT (this point made more obvious for Hido Kojima's Death Stranding) and the future of Survial Horror / Suspense games seems to be headed there with upcoming games like Resident Evil VIII: The Village. The only reason this isn't officially on the list is because, well, it was sadly never a game but its influence was too important for me not to mention.
Number 5: Sonic Mania. Ok so Sonic Mania isn't anything new but it is very important in the sense that it is a major franchise, Sonic, by a well established publisher, Sega, and they had officially given the keys of Mobius to the fandom to make a new game and it was fantastic. While that's oversimplying things a bit errr a lot, since Sega just didn't come out of the blue offering that opportunity. Rather Sega saw a Sonic game pitched by Christian Whitehead, aka Taxman, who worked on porting previous ports of Sonic games to Mobile platforms. Why I think it is important is that this validating the bridge between fandom and passion projects in world where game hacks and fangames are traditionally shut down almost immediately after gaining the slightest attention. While Sonic Mania isn't a fangame, its roots were deep from the Romhack community. This represents cracking the door between what the fandom produces and what the corporate offices allow being available to consumers in a world were popular fangames and hacks result in cease and desist orders - which is why I think is very important to put Sonic Mania as the number 5 game of this console generation.
Number 4: Rocket League. As of today, Rocket League is a now free to play game for better or for worse. Rocket League is high-octane fun, blasting balls across various courts and fields such as basketball and football with fast automobiles but what it is most well known for is basically soccer with cars. Rocket League is a lot of fun to play and has a large audience of in the streaming and esports field which would be reason enough to put this game in a top 5 but what this game marks maybe even more importantly is cross console online play. While other games have and do continue to have online play across systems, back in March of 2016 Microsoft was very interested in allowing online play between Xbox One and other consoles them being extremely hopeful for Playstation 4 in particular, however Sony was holding out. Sony was hesitant, citing their emphasis on providing a certain quality online experience but finally came to the party and in 2019 you could finally play Rocket League online with all your friends whether it be on PC, Xbox One, Switch, or Playstation 4. Since then we have had other games slowly roll out this feature such as Wargroove and the trend seems to be expanding. I hope to see all games adopt this in the future and since Rocket League “birthed” this concept coming to the table for cross console online play for us all to enjoy, this is why I think Rocket League deserves the number 4 slot.
Number 3: Bloodborne/Dark Souls III. This past generation and hell even to some extent decade, spanning to the PS3/Xbox 360, has lead us to compare every challenging game that comes out to Dark Souls. Cuphead is the Dark Souls of run and gun shooters, Dead Cells is the Dark Souls of Metroidvanias, Celeste is the Dark Souls of platformers, etc. While the meme of “X is like the Dark Souls of” is hard to find a concrete start, according to Google Trends this first seemed to spike in April of 2015 around the release of Bloodborne, the PS4 game created by FromSoftware. While not technically a Dark Souls game, it was made by the same team and the game play and feel is very Dark Souls in the sense that I feel the phrase is used today, in contrast to the first two Dark Souls games. Then we can see that in/and around October 2017 the trend has risen to its peak a little after a year and a half of the release of Dark Souls III. While this justification may seem more flimsy and ultimately the Dark Souls brand was established in 2011, I do think Bloodborne/Dark Souls III is more in the zeitgeist, if you will, of the “X is like Dark Souls” comparison that has shaped the conversation of so many games today.
Number 2: Undertale. Undertale is perhaps the darling of this generation. A game chock full of charm with multiple ways to approach it. Will you save everyone, sacrifice everyone, or something in-between? This game does look next gen, current gen or even comparable to past gen games until you hit perhaps the SNES or even late NES. Maybe a number 2 spot is too high on list – this game didn't revolutionize the industry in ways that the other games on this list did nor was it the first anti-RPG of its kind, that would probably go to MOON, but Undertale just had such a powerful impact on gamers when it came out and became so unforgettable. I feel like Undertale will be a game that we remember for a long time and to not include it in this list because its an indie game would be a real tragedy which segways me to my number 1 game.
Number 1: Shovel Knight. Shovel Knight is the indie game that, I think, lead to the current boom of retro inspired indie games we have been enjoying. A love letter to the NES games of the past such as Castlevania, Mega Man and Ducktales to name a few. Shovel Knight wasn't the first retro inspired indie games but I feel like the attention to detail in trying to stay as true to what the hardware could run in terms of look, color, sound and pixel art with its overwhelming success showed that there was a market for these type of games. Its success kickstarter in 2013 also showed that Kickstarter could be used as a viable platform to create indie games for a wider audience without having to rely on that Triple A model of good gaming synonymous with big budget corporate funding. I firmly believe that we wouldn't have the great retro inspired games like Celeste and Dead Cells or the Kickstarter'd Yooka Laylee and Bloodstained or games that did both like Blasphemous if it wasn't for the hard-work and ingenuity that Yacht Club Games paved with Shovel Knight.
To use a popular Youtube cliché to conclude this list, “At the end of the day” I didn't make this list to put Game Informer or anyone's personal preferences down. If you believe that they got the Top 5 games of the decade right that's perfectly ok and valid too, to have as your opinion. I also want to reiterate that those five games – The Last of Us Part II, the Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Zelda Breath of the Wild and God of War are all important to this generation coming to a close as well in their own way. While this list isn't my favorite games of the past generation, maybe I'll do that in the future, they are my subjective “best games list” of the past generation for what I think they did to the industry and you are free to agree, disagree, pick and choose between my list and Game Informers list or make a completely different list of your own. I'm personally excited to see what the future of gaming has for us in this coming generation and optimistic for what's both around the corner and late into the next systems' life-cycle. Happy gaming to you however you play.
