❦ * ❝ 𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐑 + 𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄 , A RECONSTRUCTION OF TAMMY’S COSTUME DESIGN.
▌ 001. 𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄 ?
i like ocean’s costume design a lot, but i think it relies heavily in stereotypes. there was little screen time available to establish all of the girl’s characters and personalities and for that, they used a lot of stereotypical fashion choices. speaking of tammy, the message we were supposed to get as soon as we saw her was of a sweet, suburban mom that you’d never expect to catch in the middle of a heist plan. it works! however, i like to think of what her wardrobe would really look like -- not if they were trying to imply her role in the crew through every single piece, but if they actually had the time to develop her into a deeper character. that is why i like to think of it as re-building her costume design: i’ll take the essential pieces of her wardrobe -- sweaters, mom jeans, skirts, boots, coats -- and improving, modernizing and making them a little more fashionable.
▌ 002. 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 : IT’S NOT ABOUT THE DRESS YOU WEAR, BUT THE LIFE YOU LEAD IN THE DRESS.
oh, everyday wear! we love it. we live for it. or in it, i suppose. after years working from home and simply staying in to take care of the kids, tammy learned to value a good pair of comfortable jeans and a sweater. while a more professional look will get her to add on longer coats, tamasin tends to wear heavier pullovers or cardigans at home as they are much more casual and manageable. pants are preferred; either denim, tweed, or even synthetic leather are common. as for tops, blouses are a favourite over t-shirts, frequently combined with jewellery and scarves.
▌ usual pieces . pantacourt / wide / ‘mom’ jeans, button up shirts, wool sweaters, tweed jackets, lighter dresses, chunky - heel boots and sandals, mules. ▌ accessories . golden earrings, rings and mostly necklaces and pendants, hair up in a ponytail or held by a cute headband. ▌ reference brands . chanel ( x , x , x ), victoria beckham ( x , x , x , x , x ), chloé ( x , x , x ). ▌ make up . concealer, mascara, pink lipstick or cherry lip balm.
under the cut : formal wear , posh wear , accessorizing .
▌ 003. 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 : IT’S NOT ABOUT THE DRESS YOU WEAR, BUT THE LIFE YOU LEAD IN THE DRESS.
workplace tammy is tammy fashion at its best, and i’m not saying that just because she works for vogue. truth be told: the place really gave her an opportunity and encouragement to actually take a further step and dare a little more with her own style choices. however, it’s not like she’s a fashionista -- tammy’s big secret is staying true to her modest style rather than following a trend or another. well, that, and a third piece! overcoats are her favorite way to add a little spice to a look that could easily go unnoticed. and trust me, she has tons of different coats to pick from. leather, wool, tweed, regular suits, in all kinds of colors. turtlenecks are her favorite go-to piece to add a neutral base, while different skirts will add a classic touch to the outfits. suits are a yes! tammy’s not as comfortable in them, so often chooses to wear a midi skirt with a t-shirt or blouse and a suit on top.
▌ usual pieces . flowy dresses, turtleneck blouses and sweaters, midi skirts in leather, satin or other lighter fabrics, pantsuits, winter overcoats, fine fabric trousers, chunky heel boots, high heels. ▌ accessories . golden earrings and rings, scarves, berets (occasionally), purses and bags, belts, stockings, gloves. ▌ reference brands . céline ( x , x , x ), miu miu ( x , x ), yves saint laurent ( x , x , x ). ▌ make up . concealer, mascara, rosy lipstick, blush, beige / brown eyeshadow.
▌ 004. 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐇 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 : IT’S NOT ABOUT THE DRESS YOU WEAR, BUT THE LIFE YOU LEAD IN THE DRESS.
oh, but who doesn’t love an excuse to put on a fancy dress? tammy’s very picky about her own gala choices, but loves the feeling of silk, satin, sequin against her skin. long dresses make her silhouette a bit taller and grant a good dash of elegance; however, tamasin feels very self conscious about the amount of skin she is willing to show. her favourite picks will always be ones that cover her arms at least to an extent, but sleeveless ones and even a little bit of cleavage is welcome at times. oh, and dresses with pockets are the best thing! simple scarpins do the trick when wearing a long dress, as well as a good updo on her blonde locks.
▌ usual pieces . long sleeve - dresses, flowy skirts with lace blouses, scarpin heels. ▌ accessories . golden earrings and rings, diamonds, sapphires; shawls, stockings. ▌ reference brands . prada ( x , x ), elie saab ( x , x ). ▌ make up . concealer, mascara, rosy or red lipstick, blush, brown eyeshadow, highlighter.
▌ 005. 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 : IT’S NOT ABOUT THE DRESS YOU WEAR, BUT THE LIFE YOU LEAD IN THE DRESS.
▌ jewellery . gold! silver simply doesn’t click; tammy has a huge preference for golden pieces, leaning towards pendants, rings and earrings. her favorite pendant is one with her kids’ initials, of course. for fancier occasions, diamonds will always be her best friends; bought, gifted or stolen, they just add a special touch to her features. reference ( x , x , x , x ). ▌ scarves . not only because new york can get kind of chilly, but these are a cute little touch of color to a everyday neutral look. she loves to match them with a purse or pair of boots, and sometimes even uses some in her head / ponytail. reference ( x , x ). ▌ purses . shoulder bags aren’t a favorite at all, but smaller ones and purses have a huge part on her closet. as long as there’s enough room for her a thousand and one items she carries everywhere? she wants it. reference ( x , x , x ). ▌ glasses . alright, tammy’s no anna wintour with glasses so big she could hide behind, but she can wear one or two. brownish are her favorites as they don’t look too heavy on her fair skin - blonde hair combo, as well as more delicate designs that won’t cover up half of her face. reference ( x , x ).

Prada
She currently resides in South Florida with her husband, two young children, and a closet full of baggage. Every season, Prada reintroduces this bag in a wide selection of colours and types based mostly on that season’s theme. This permits countless options and reinterpretations, which makes this bag a basic, iconic wardrobe staple. Though Prada has advanced over time by embracing new methods and ideas, the brand stays committed to the enduring high quality of its items. Just like those crucial guidelines of workmanship, some of the brand’s designs are equally long-standing; two of essentially the most extremely sought-after Prada items remain the Prada Galleria and Prada Double Bags. That identical yr, the home of Prada started growth throughout continental Europe and the United States by opening areas in outstanding purchasing districts within Florence, Paris, Madrid, and New York City. In 1985 Miuccia launched the "traditional Prada purse" that turned an overnight sensation. Although practical and sturdy, its modern strains and craftsmanship had a luxury that has turn out to be the Prada signature. ) is an Italian luxury fashion house that was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada. This Prada purse uses python and calf leather-based along with suede, deeming them extra high-class as a end result of the use of the unique leather-based. While solely out there in a single color, this Prada purse options three totally different colours for the strap , flap , and the physique . Prada Purses Replica Luxurious Designer Fake Purses Outlet On The Market The sheerness of it may be a problem if it does not fit like a puzzle piece along with your pores and skin. After I spray this on my wrist, I can scent the faintest odor of powder for a maximum of three seconds, than it's gone, as if it never was there. I get no caramel, no benzoin, no vanilla, which is a disgrace, because I love these notes. depurses A delicate caramel, powdery musk, sprayed twice on the nape is completely irresistible. Actually fairly a bit of sophistication I find in this, can use within the workplace. But after all additionally wonderful in more intimate settings. Dry down is extra soapy whereas Sauvage is extra of a shaving gel smell. wikipedia It's good overall but I somewhat pay the additional bucks for Sauvage. It's for the best person however for me, I would not purchase it again. In the mid, the tonka remains to be there however the spicy accord begins to develop. The creaminess slowly fades and the lavender and patchouli begin to emerge which, I'm assuming, is the place the spiciness is from. Very mature and masculine dry down the place the slightest soil tincture seems. Gives a pleasant cool, clean earthiness to it. Carbon is certainly one of my favourite, most-complemented fragrances. Sauvage is sweet and women like it, but it's just too peppery in a unclean way. The scent/notes don't remind me of this, but it does evoke a vibe just like Chanel Bleu. I am really enjoying this more then Sauvage. Don't get me wrong, Sauvage continues to be a beast but at this level everyone owns it or is conscious of what it smells like and it doesn't fit in each scenario. Luna Rossa Carbon on the opposite hand has Sauvage parts however it's softer and not as aggressive. It is fresh and citrussy and I would describe it as an all spherical scent to wear at any event. Its tremendous versatile, 12 months round, it's actually clean, and lasts 12+ hours on my skin and I can nonetheless scent it without going noseblind. Also it's the only ambrox frag that does not give me a headache. Sauvage offers me an enormous headache and I actually have to clean it after a while it turns into too much. Carbon is completed so well and does not odor artificial in any respect, even with the metallic and coal. It's mainly a skin scent from the second you spray it and last for 3 hours. The sweetness of caramel blasts you first, then it segues right into a vanillic/benzoin combo, after which it finally rests on a powdery/musk mixture. The caramel notice is all-pervasive and it still faintly lingers in the dry-down. A departure from the singularly minimalist chic that is the Prada ethos. On the other hand, the authentic Prada bag has its textual content trying thicker and boxier than the one on the pretend bag. I fell in love with this perfume the second I smelled it. So many individuals think it's so candy smelling, and examine it to Pink Sugar but to me, Candy is totally unique, and complicated, and musky/amber/rich smelling rather than tremendous candy. In the shoe collection, though Replica Prada Bags has all the time been related with the design and echoed one another, but its types are all the popular leader of footwear. For instance, square lasts, wedge-shaped heels and metallic doll shoes and they're all tendencies brought by PRADA. From leather goods and clothes to sneakers and underwear, PRADA has become a whole boutique kingdom, and its territory has additionally expanded to the entire world. “This architectural entity of a luxurious boutique had suddenly turn into so current in our tradition, and we have been all beginning to get used to it,” Elmgreen mentioned. Putting a luxury boutique within the desert, they thought, would render this invisible pressure visible. They named it after the close by town of Marfa, recognized in the artwork world for being the onetime home of the late minimalist legend Donald Judd. The original 7xxxx bottles seem to have extra depth and energy over my 9xxxx bottle. I first sampled this shortly after its launch in 2017 and beloved it. It was contemporary, properly balanced, strong and very long-lasting and had yr round versatility. I did not buy it on the time as I had numerous other frags in my assortment and so decided to delay the purchase till I had run some of these down. After owning this for 2 years I purchased Dior Sauvage and I think they praise each other nicely in my perfume rotation. Buying Sauvage really increased the appreciation of this fragrance and also the usage of this as nicely. This really isn’t as just like Sauvage as others are saying. This gives the identical vibe, but Is undoubtedly not a “clone”. This has some very attention-grabbing notes that surprisingly may be seen. The coal and metallic notes are just about there from opening to dry down, the opening is extra veered in the direction of the pepper and bergamot notes though, however coal can nonetheless be detected. The Means To Spot A Pretend Prada Bag, Purse Or Pockets Prada footwear for men is all about the style, clear strains, simple colours, and luscious leathers. On the opposite hand, Prada shoes for women are all about empowering ladies with the glim and glam of the Prada heels and the comfort of the flats and so much extra. If you prefer to really feel and examine a Prada item earlier than buying, scour native opp outlets or thrift shops. It will have more likelihood of being real than the stand at the local market that has a join advertising '50 brand new Prada baggage all for $20'. I have to admit the sentimental worth is priceless. I know it's an older Prada the interior is in want of restore. Can you please advise on my Prada mini nylon backpack. Many, if not most second hand Prada is not going to come with these – that’s why being conversant in different features such because the lettering will offer you a better indication. The zip tab shall be manufactured from either leather in the type of a short tab, or from woven cotton in the type of a longer loop strap. Hand baggage usually characteristic solid silver or gold-coloured zip tabs with “PRADA MILANO” engraved. The design of these two fashions is simpler and extra basic. The most distinctive characteristic of this season is the lengthy design of the classic nylon bag leather-based strap with rivets. Nylon impact rivets, this combination is unique, in order that the original conventional messenger bag turns into very futuristic, look fastidiously on the steel parts of the bag, the sunshine rivets have three completely different designs. With our firm's status on the road, you never have to fret concerning the purses you're going to obtain. We have at all times gone above and past for our purchasers, and no matter whether you want one, 5, or fifty purses, we're always right here for you. The only thing you are going to should be involved with, is discovering the proper apparel that compliments your new Prada purse. Because we control all elements of design, manufacture, and transport, we're in a place to cross our financial savings directly on to you. Prada’s calf leather is a quantity of essentially the most supple, sturdy, and scrumptious leather any model offers. The leather-based is one which makes you have to seize it and look at it, and this is the place Prada shines. The twin prime zipper pull is thick, so easy to maneuver and of premium quality. There is a tab where the zipper monitor ends designed for someplace to relaxation the steel zipper pulls. Finally, you can take pleasure in buying your favorite brands and purses without spending a fortune. With our on a regular basis low cost pricing, it feels such as you're able to buy Prada luggage on sale for the first time. In the ever-changing Replica Prada Handbags world, the nylon bag is probably not the most conspicuous one, but it can be said that it is the most hard-working one in the Prada household. I’ve purchased a number of from her & all have been superb. At the same time, we concentrate on STELLA MCCARTINEY, FENDI, CHRISTIAN DIOR luggage from the same authentic quality, very low value, excellent after-sales service, you will benefit from the enjoyable of saving money buy from us. Besides selection, retailers also needed to provide a generous grace period for returns, which provides you time to resolve whether or not the jewellery you've purchased is perfect.

Veronica, on the other hand, has a bad habit of repressing her own negative emotions (she prefers helping literally anyone else with their problems). Usually something trivial sets her off, like Kevin bemoaning having to hide his relationship with Joaquin from his dad, or Archie briefly wondering if his dad would like it if he built a gazebo (Betty tries desperately to talk him out of it until Jughead says plainly, “You would literally die if you tried to build something by yourself, Archie” and that’s that, really). But it has Veronica thinking about her own father; how it’s been over a year since he’s held her in his arms, how when he calls her “Princess” over the phone, his voice is strained and tired. On days like those, she asks Jughead if he wants to watch Paper Moon and he keeps her close as she cries through it.
8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas? Jughead usually sleeps in a pair of his dad’s (or Archie’s) old sweatpants and a t-shirt. He’s surprised when he sees Veronica in a simple–not sexy, not chic–if anything, it’s too large to be truly flattering–t-shirt for the first time. He laughs when she tells him how she wears pearls and designer nightgowns to Cheryl’s sleepovers to annoy Penelope Blossom, and she laughs with him.
9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)? Veronica is not shocked when she finds out Jughead has been drinking coffee black for most of his life (”Since I was eight,” he says it like he’s proud and Veronica rolls her eyes so hard she gives nearly herself a headache). Eventually she thinks she is able to convince him that, yes, herbal tea can soothe nerves. He never says so outright, but he always appears appreciative when Veronica has some extra tea with her (Veronica had initially not enjoyed having to semi-permanently trade her favorite Prada handbag for a clunky Marc Jacobs shoulder bag on the off-chance Jughead was feeling anxious that day and she needed two thermoses instead of one, but when she pulls it out and he looks at her like she may well have hung the moon, she finds she doesn’t really care).
10. Who likes sweet/ Who likes sour? Jughead likes every kind of candy, but he leans toward sweet. Veronica, as a rule, doesn’t eat candy, but sometimes Jughead hands her a piece of whatever he’s enjoying that day and she can never find it in herself to say no.
11. Who likes horror movies/ Who likes romance movies? They both really love bad horror movies. Not movies that are meant to be bad, but movies that are actually trying to be good and just end up bad. By the end of most movies, it sounds like they’re just trying to out-scoff each other, Jughead saying things like “Wow, that transition was atrocious” over Veronica’s insistence that, surely, they could have found a better looking male lead considering they didn’t even bother to find a good actor.
When the mood strikes her Veronica will turn on a Nicholas Sparks movie, much to Jughead’s vocal dismay. She smirks when he asks her to pause the movie he supposedly hates while he goes to the bathroom, but doesn’t push the issue.
NOTE: i’m skipping 12 bc it turned into an honest to god FIC which i will finish later :-)
13. Who is considered the scaredy cat? + 14. Who kills the spiders Veronica considers herself pretty fearless…but her resolve is broken the second she sees a creepy-crawly in the ridiculous amount of space she refers to as her “personal area.” Usually, she asks someone else (Jughead) to “get it away” but also insists that they do it without actually killingthe thing, which Jughead finds both impossibly annoying and incredibly endearing.
16. Who is scared of thunderstorms? Neither of them tbh. I think Jughead enjoys them while Veronica only laments what the humidity is going to do to her hair.
18. Who is a cat person/ Who is a dog person? Jughead has only ever had a dog, and thus considers himself a Dog Person™, but he doesn’t hate cats with a fiery passion like Archie does.
19. Who loves to call the other one cute names? Veronica, but only because it annoys the ever loving fuck out of Jughead. The only thing he is ok with is ‘Juggie’ but Veronica has come up with several nauseating variations (Juggie-poo, Juggie-pie, Dollface???, Sugar lips????), much to the delight of one Kevin Keller.
20. Who is dominant/ Who is submissive?
In their day-to-day lives, Veronica is dominant. And though Jughead puts on a show of battling her at every turn, he usually ends up doing what she wants (sometimes he realizes it doesn’t bother him as much as it should, but then he tucks the thought away because it makes his stomach flutter and, honestly? fuck that)
21. Who has an obsession (over anything)? Jughead is obsessed with Tarantino, as everyone knows. He makes Veronica watch the movies she has seen with director commentary. Veronica smiles when Jughead finds it in himself to talk over even the great Tarantino in order to make a point about the film.
22. Who goes all out for Valentine’s Day? Veronica takes it to a level that Jughead can’t even imagine. Chocolate, flowers, at some point there is a barbershop quartet? The entire day was honestly a blur, ending with Veronica renting out the local cinema and playing what was essentially a chronological marathon of the best Film Noir to ever grace the silver screen.
(The look of happy surprise on her face when Jughead gives her a simple necklace is not one he’ll forget)
24. Who is the talker/ Who is the listener? Jughead rants a lot, but sometimes Veronica will get a little gossip-y…and though Jughead sees himself as “above” that sort of thing, he listens and responds as if she were telling him a very important life event.
25. Who wears the other ones clothes? Veronica Lodge is nothing if not a master at accessorizing. She’ll take a shirt Jughead has grown too tall to wear comfortably and somehow look better in it than he, or anyone, could even hope to.
One time Jughead wore one of Veronica’s bags to Pop’s instead of his usual sack, but that’s a different story entirely
27. Who takes a long shower/ Who sings in the shower? Veronica does both. Jughead listens.
29. Who is the better cook? Jughead can cook simple things. He’s learned to take care of himself since his dad was away a lot. Veronica, on the other hand, is appalled if you ask her to toast a piece of bread.
31. Who is more affectionate? Veronica is more affectionate in public, but you’d have to be watching to notice the little things she does (rest her hand on his leg, fix his hat, slide her unfinished food over to him at Pop’s). In private, Veronica is surprised at how affectionate Jug can be. He has a weird fixation with her hair (“it’s really soft,” he says plainly) and is constantly plays with it when they’re alone.
32. Who likes to have really long (deep) conversation? Jughead loves him some deep conversation. He especially loves it when Veronica disagrees with what he’s saying, because their debates are spirited and sometimes she makes some points that he finds really hard to argue (he does anyway, but).
33. Who would wear “not guilty” t-shirt/ Who would wear “sin” t-shirt? Kevin got a matching set for them (AND INSISTED ON Veronica being “Not Guilty” and Jughead being “Sin”) as a joke (and taking pictures) while Veronica complained about the quality of the fabric and Jughead just complained.
38. Who likes to star gaze? They both enjoy a quiet night together looking up at the stars. Sometimes Jughead will point out the few constellations that he actually remembers from Astronomy, and Veronica will hum and listen while she traces them with her fingers.
Sometimes, Veronica will talk about what her horoscope sai that morning. Jughead can go on for hours about how astrology is bullshit but he doesn’t argue when Veronica tells him their signs are “like, freakishly compatible.”
39. Who buys cereal for the prize inside? Jughead has a private (very private) collection of cracker jack prizes that he knows Archie would lose or break. He flushes when Veronica comes across them while she’s browsing through his wardrobe (as she is prone to do to anyone who will let her), but she doesn’t laugh. Instead she smiles and asks about each one, about when he started collecting them, about how he managed to keep track of them (and it feels like something private between them).
47. Who has the more complex coffee order? Veronica used to pride herself on her complex orders, but apparently she’s spoiled Jughead with her Rich People Coffee™ because he visibly grimaced every time he has to drink something that isn’t a venti, half-whole milk, one quarter 1%, one quarter non-fat, extra hot, split quad shots (1 ½ shots decaf, 2 ½ shots regular), no foam latte, with whip, 2 packets of splenda, 1 sugar in the raw, a touch of vanilla syrup and 3 short sprinkles of cinnamon.
50. Who is the hopeless romantic Veronica, 100%. She honestly believes that everyone has a soul mate. Jughead is infinitely more jaded and openly disagrees with her, but every time they argue, Veronica says something stupid like, “Soulmates argue, too. So we’ll be fine.” and Jughead’s resolve is gone.

Best Professional Bags and Briefcases for Women Lawyers
Well designed, fashionable, professional-yet-functional bags and briefcases for women are so hard to find. I surveyed over 500 women lawyers on email lists, Facebook, and Twitter, in order to compile this list of briefcases for women. The list includes a wide range of names, styles, colors, and interesting lesser-known brands, all of which can accommodate a laptop.
These are my three rules for a well-designed bag for lawyers:
Related “How to Dress Like a Lawyer” “Lawyer Lifestyle” “The Best Briefcases for Male Lawyers”
Strap. Some bags don’t come with straps, which means you have to carry it in your hand. This is impractical and annoying. You often need both hands to grab something out of your bag, and you can’t do that if you have to carry the bag by the handle instead of over your shoulder. (Bonus points if the strap doesn’t dig into your shoulder, especially right over a bra strap.)
Functional. This obviously depends on what you need to carry. I tend to travel light and often the most I need to squeeze into a bag is a laptop and a one-inch folder (along with the usual woman stuff like makeup). Carefully considering how much room you need and what you will be carrying will make your briefcase more lovable in the long term. Another nice-to-have feature is a bag with feet that can stand on its own. It is nice to be able to set down your bag without worrying about it falling over.
Feels good and/or feminine. When I graduated from law school, I had a men’s Coach briefcase. I bought it because I loved the feel of the leather, it was highly functional, and it was well built. Back then, I wanted a bag that will help me blend in and having a bag that looked similar to the ones my male counterpart was carrying helped me feel more comfortable. As I matured and became more comfortable as a lawyer, I felt it was important to bring more of myself and my personality not only to what I what I wore, but to all aspects of my law practice. Having a bag that I felt comfortable carrying, with the right blend of femininity and function, became more important to me. I didn’t want to be a generic lawyer, and leaving behind the men’s Coach briefcase was one small step towards finding my footing.
The balance between professional, functional, and not too frumpy or too sexy makes it a challenge to find a briefcase or bag. The recommendations from the lawyers I surveyed were mostly a variation on the traditional briefcase or tote. There were also many suggestions for rolling bags, which are especially helpful if you have to carry a lot of weight and negotiate high heels at the same time.
Best Women’s Professional Bags Under $100
I was certainly not the only lawyer to leave behind the “masculine” bag and traded it in for a more feminine one. Here’s what Maureen Hodson, attorney at Hunsucker Goodstein said about her Kenneth Cole Hit a Triple bag:
Kenneth Cole Hit a Triple Tote – $49
For years I used a really ugly masculine bag and longed for something more feminine. I found it about a year ago, and though inexpensive, this has served me well.
Hodson recommended this bag not only because of how it looks but because of its function:
I like that it has dedicated space for both an ipad and laptop, with plenty of room for legal pads and a redwell or two. The external pockets are great for dropping my office keys into. The center compartment (which holds the laptop) unzips all the way, which is really nice for when you need to stack a bunch of stuff in there!
Another brand that falls into the feminine yet functional bag is from Solo. I included it because they have a large collection under $100. Here’s the Solo Jay:
Solo Jay – $58
Best Women’s Professional Bags for $100-$250
Another big factor in considering the bag is how it feels against the body. I love bags that hugs the body, like this Piel Hobo laptop bag:
Piel Hobo – $148
It has wider straps and hugs the shoulder and allows the bag to sit in between the arm and the side of the body. It also comes in 4 colors, which is always an added bonus.
Many of the women lawyers I interviewed chose men’s briefcases. It makes sense in many ways. They’re functional, there are lots of options, and it does the job — carrying your stuff from point A to point B with ease and comfort.
Of all the men’s bags recommendations, my favorite one was the Knomo Henderson bag:
Knomo Henderson – $250
Lisette Sell, attorney at Cooley LLP, said she chose this bag because it is “feminine and functional.” She “wanted a bag that was just the right size. Wanted more than just a laptop bag but didn’t want a large clunky bag. I am not very big/tall and didn’t want to have to haul around a bulky bag.”
Unlike all the other bags listed in this post, this Michael Kors Jet Set bag isn’t specifically for a laptop, although you can place a laptop in the middle compartment. Oftentimes, you’re limited to one or two colors when it comes to professional bags. The Jet Set bags comes in three sizes and dozens of colors and patterns:
Michael Kors Jet Set – $225
Professional Women’s Bags for $250 to $1,000
I received two recommendations for MZ Wallace bags. Both lawyers described their MZ as durable and functional:
MZ Wallace Metro Tote – $300
