Yoshiwara Jinja :) This is one of the remnants of the old Yoshiwara :)
While strolling through Asakusa's north I came upon this shrine. It’s not that big and tucked in between the buildings surrounding it :3 Despite of it’s old significance it seems to have adapted quite well to the change it’s surroundings went through :) It feels like it matured and became confident in what it is :)
It is one of the properties I like about many Japanese shrines that is that they adapt to the change time brings rather than trying to fight it. This way they can keep their cultural significance and become islands of tranquility for different generations. In some way this enables them to connect the generations of people like the home of a family member people visit regularly :) Granted that big, old shrines are a tad bit more slow to change things but they are also keeping their relevance as long as they cater to a mostly Japanese audience :) <=this is a complaint that is a growing source of sorrow to me as more and more places cater to tourists these places loose their significance to Japanese as they like quiet and clean places which seems like something that is incompatible with tourism in Japan....
I enjoyed this neighbourhood a lot despite it being unremarkable :) To me it was the ensemble that made this place feel nice and interesting ✽(′ॢᵕ ‵ *ॢ)✽ஐ
I wish everyone a great time with sweet dreams (^-^)/
