macaron of my eye / / zayne . . .
being the birthday boy came with its perks, like gifts and cake, blessings, and even being able to get away with stealing a few birthday sweets and kisses.
warnings: f!reader, canon divergence (story is diff from the bday story), jealous!zayne, fluff, suggestive
w/c: 1.2k
author's note: happy birthday to the one fictional man who set my standards higher than heaven <3
"nuh-uh, nope!"
zayne didn't even get the chance to land the slightest touch on one of the many macarons you ended up baking before you promptly slapped his hand away.
"i know it's nearly your birthday but this doesn't mean you can just have your way when you see fit, doctor."
he slowly retracts his wandering hand and you resist the urge to giggle at the sight of his dejected face. these past few days you'd been busy planning for zayne's special day. decorations, sweets, gifts, cake, more sweets... it took some work but you had just about everything checked out and ready to go.
...except for the surprisingly clingy man before you.
he doesn't know why, but he's been feeling irked ever since you visited the hospital a few days ago. it was common to see you heading over to zayne's office after your shift was over, but he'd never actually see you stop and talk to his coworkers. it bothered him, clearly.
you and greyson would talk in hushed whispers oftentimes these days, sneaking glances over in his direction everytime he'd pass by. he brushed it off but it would never leave the back of his mind.
not to mention the fact that you'd barely respond to his calls and texts. he'd taken the next few days leading up to his birthday off, and you seemed excited, so why the change of energy?
he found his answer 20 minutes ago.
"you know, i'd maybe let you eat some if you didn't just come into my apartment unannounced and..." you glance over him, "so gloomy..."
zayne sighs, leaning on the countertop of your kitchen while watching you work ever so diligently.
he supposed you had a point.
after his 4th missed call or so he decided to see you himself, knocking on your door before picking up the key under your plant vase in front of your door and seeing himself in... and as you can tell, without your permission.
"i'm... sorry," he starts slowly. "but don't you think you're at fault for ignoring me?"
you turn back around after putting in the final batch of macarons, smiling. "awh. poor little doctor zayne. so helpless and in need of attention."
he turns his head to the side a little and shakes his head lightly, smiling all the while. "yes..."
"poor little me," a sudden mischiecious glint appears in his eyes, "without my hunter to keep me company. she keeps sneaking off and planning surprises behind my back."
"and yet... someone ruined it!"
"i suppose were both feeling quite woeful today."
"hmph," you turn around with your hands crossed. "don't even ask for a bite. i know you'll be begging sooner or later!"
he stands up and comes closer to your turned form, "not even a nibble?"
"not even!"
"then... i'll just have to improvise, no?"
"what are you talking abou-?"
unbeknownest to you, zayne's favorite sweet was not just macarons.
no, they were something else entirely.
he hums as he rests his arms atop your waist, leaning down exceptionally slowly. your neck heats up, even moreso than when you were stuck baking in the kitchen for hours on end.
his breath fans against your ear, soft chuckles echoing from his chest onto the plain of your back. "this."
he moves the hair cascading down your back to your side, holding it in place as he softly latches his lips onto your exposed skin. your own breath hitches in your chest as you gasp at the contact.
his lips felt cold, but not in a bad way. cold, like the first breeze of autumn after the end of summer. he moves his way up the side of your neck with painfully slow strides. he inhales deeply, taking in the sweet scent of the various flavours of cake attached to you.
and as you exhale steadily, you wonder what encouraged him to reveal this side of himself.
"zayne..."
soft carresses of his lips lingered on your skin—and you found yourself hoping your own lips to be their next victim. never once did his grip on you falter or grow stronger, yet they kept you firmly in place, anticipating his every move.
soon enough he'd completed his trail across your jaw, and you turn your neck to face him. he opens his eyes to find yours and detaches himself, dark and hazy. god, you felt pathetic...
"did you get my answer yet?"
you don't reply, looking from his eyes to his lips again once more, and leaned in.
ding!
you jolted away from him and cursed yourself for putting the macarons in the oven on high so that they'd get done faster. with how everything was going along just about now, you wouldn't even give a damn if they burned or not if you could just continue for a moment more.
"ah... they're ready."
you grab your mittens and open the oven door, letting it cool down while all the steam came out and then finally grabbing it. you set them down on your counter with a proud smile.
"look, this might just be my best batch yet!"
"you really are something..."
zayne gives you a wistful smile and looks over your shoulder, nodding in approval. "you truly outdid yourself this time. they look amazing."
"and?"
"...they also smell nice."
you roll your eyes, "no silly, what's my reward?"
he pretends to think, "hm, i don't know. what should your reward be?"
a noise goes off, your alarm set for 12 am to give zayne a birthday call ringing from your phone. you glance at it and then look back at him,
"...i might just have an idea."
and he reads your mind, dipping in to kiss you without a second thought. afterall, what better way to start his birthday than a kiss?
you sway in his arms, a hand rested atop his cheek and the other on the side of his neck. he smiles into the kiss and pulls you closer, gently moving your bodies in synchronization.
you were sure you could hear his phone vibrating, no doubt on the fact that it was probably one of his colleuges calling to wish him a happy birthday. but you both knew that could wait.
he kisses you slowly and passionately, arms enveloping around you with ease. you're almost left out of breath before you pull away for a split second, until he pulls you back in again. it feels almost desperate, with how he's leaving little to no room for movement and just focusing on your presence. on your lips.
soon enough, you pull away, opting to lean your forehead against his.
"so, birthday boy, did you like your first gift?"
"i thought this was supposed to be someone's reward?"
you giggled, "i changed my mind. this was more important."
he smiles for what felt like the umpteenth time today, sighing peacefully. "does this mean i finally get to try your delicious sweets?"
"what do you mean finally? i tasted the cream inside your mouth! you stole one while i was putting the rest in the oven!"
"hm?"
"don't play dumb, i know exactly how it-!"
and he silences your fusses with one last kiss, and you couldn't help but give in to it.

a/n: toxic!javi stans, this is for us 🙂↕️ kat keep your writings short challenge (FAILED) hope you like this my sweet anon 🖤
You’ve been broken up for ten weeks now. Two months and ten agonizing days. Every minute since has felt like a slow burn, as if each breath without him is a reminder of the emptiness he left behind. You thought you’d have been over him by now— Javier Peña wasn’t supposed to have this kind of hold on you, not after everything he did.
Not after you walked into his office that night, a surprise dinner in hand, only to find him fucking his secretary. The image still sears behind your eyes— the slick, desperate way they moved together while you stood frozen in the doorway, a witness to your own heartbreak.
The signs had always been there, even from the first date. The way his eyes lingered a little too long on the waitress or how he’d get that restless look in his eyes when you weren’t around. But damn, he had a way of making you feel like you were the only one.
Like every glance, every touch, was meant for you and you alone. He had a gift for making you feel special, all while hiding his cock’s insatiable appetite behind a charming smile.
Now, you feel raw, like maybe it was your fault. Maybe you weren’t enough to keep him satisfied. Maybe you didn’t do enough in bed, didn’t keep his interest, didn’t hold onto him like you should have. The betrayal made you feel small, made you question every moment, every kiss, every whispered promise. It should’ve made walking away easier, catching him like that. It should’ve been enough to erase him from your mind. But it wasn’t.
And it’s taken this long— two months and ten days— of wallowing, of replaying the betrayal, to finally push you out of your haze. Tonight, something shifts. Your friend set you up with someone from her work, and after much prodding, you said yes.
Tonight, you’ve decided to put yourself back out there. Maybe if you let someone else touch you, if you let someone else in, you’ll finally be able to push Javier out of your mind for good.
It’s been radio silence ever since. After you caught him in his office, the scene unfolded like something out of a bad movie. His face went from shock to panic in a split second, scrambling to pull up his pants, stumbling over excuses. “She meant nothing,” he stammered, running after you with that flustered, desperate look. “It was a mistake!” But you didn’t stop, didn’t even give him a second glance. You barely held back the tears as you hurled the containers of food at him, the dinner you’d lovingly prepared splattering down the hallway, leaving a messy trail as you stormed toward the stairwell. No way in hell were you waiting for the elevator. Six flights of stairs felt like nothing compared to the pit in your stomach, and the thought of giving him even one more second to sweet talk you back into his web made you sick.
You blocked him on everything the minute you got home. Packed a bag with the essentials and bolted to your cousin’s place, where you spent weeks crying yourself to sleep on her couch. Not a single call. Not a text. Not that he could, since you blocked him on every possible avenue. But even then, he didn’t try. Not a knock on the door, not a surprise visit. You realized in those sleepless nights that he’d never really bothered to get close to anyone in your life. Another red flag you had stupidly painted green, thinking he was the man of your dreams.
So when you finally pull yourself together, forcing yourself out of that dark pit of misery and agreeing to this blind date at the bar, you’re in higher spirits. You’re ready to move on— or at least try. But of course, life has a twisted sense of humor. Because the last person you expect to see sitting at the bar, laughing with another woman like nothing happened, is Javier fucking Peña.
You’d recognize that broad, infuriatingly beautiful frame anywhere. He stands out like a sore thumb, even in the dim lighting. Broad shoulders, lean muscles, and the biggest mistake of your life. The shittiest man you’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. And yet, the sight of him still makes your chest tighten, reminding you just how much you let him get away with.
You almost suggest to your date that you should hit up a different bar, something far across town, anywhere but here. But no, you catch yourself. You’re done letting your ex dictate your life, done letting him take up space in your head. You’ve shed too many tears over that man, and tonight isn’t going to be another chapter in the same pathetic story.
At first, he doesn’t even notice you. Of course, his attention is fully on the woman he’s with— some gorgeous thing with legs for days and a face that belongs on a magazine cover. It stings, that familiar twinge of jealousy creeping in. You can’t help it, especially when you know he’s always going to have a pretty girl on his arm.
It’s not until your date excuses himself to use the restroom that Javier’s dark, smoldering eyes finally land on you. And what does he do when your gazes meet? He fucking smirks. That slow, deliberate smirk that used to make your knees weak. He throws in a wink for good measure, casually bringing his short glass up to his lips, taking his time with a sip as if he hasn’t just shattered your evening. His eyes linger on you, tracing every inch of your body, undressing you from across the room without so much as a word.
You shift in your seat, heart pounding in your chest as you quickly turn away, forcing your focus on some random sports game playing on the big screen nearby. But even with your eyes elsewhere, you can feel it— the weight of his stare crawling down your neck, tracing the line of your plunging neckline. Of course he’s looking. Tonight is the night you pulled out the dress— the one kept tucked away for special occasions, the revenge dress.
Every girl has one. The one that hugs in all the right places, the one you save for when you need to remind the world, and yourself, exactly what you’re made of.
And while your date had all but drooled when you stepped out in it, there’s no denying the heat in Javier’s gaze from across the bar. You don’t have to look at him to know what he’s thinking— he’s already imagining that dress crumpled on his bedroom floor.
Your date returns from the restroom, noticeably tipsier and much more handsy than when he left. His touch is bold, his fingers possessive, and you revel in it.
You lean into the attention, letting him pull you closer, putting on a little show for the audience you know is watching. Javier might think he’s the only one who knows how to have fun, but you’re going to make sure he sees just how wrong he is.
Your date’s hands wander over your body— grabbing at your ass, pulling you into him by your hips. He leans in, hot breath against your ear, whispering all the filthy things he’s planning to do to you in the back of his car.
He doesn’t even want to wait until you’re back at your place. He’s desperate, and though you hesitate for a second— things are moving a lot faster than you planned— you can feel Javier’s eyes burning into the back of your skull. His relentless glare pushes you forward, stirring something reckless inside of you.
So, you let it happen. You let this guy press his body into yours, his hands traveling, voice dripping with lust, promising you things he probably won’t even remember tomorrow. But in the heat of the moment, you don’t care. It’s not about him, really. It’s about you. About knowing that Javier’s watching every second of this, hating every second of this, and that’s enough to fuel you.
The next thing you know, you’re outside in the alley behind the bar, lips locked like horny teenagers. His mouth is on your neck, sucking on that sensitive spot that makes your knees weak, and despite yourself, you let out a soft moan.
His fingers slip beneath your panties, fumbling as they rub at your clit, off-rhythm and sloppy. But right now, that doesn’t even matter. What matters is that someone else is touching you. Someone else is making you feel something other than loneliness and anger.
Suddenly, he’s ripped off you, and the cool air rushes in where his body had been pressed against yours. Your eyes snap open, and there he is—Javier, seething with rage, his hand gripping your date by the collar. The force with which he slams him into the brick wall makes your heart lurch.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” you shout, the shock sobering you up fast as you yank down the hem of your dress, covering yourself as best as you can. Anger surges through you, hot and wild. Your hands tremble as you take in the scene— Javier’s knuckles white against your date’s shirt, his face a mask of pure fury.
Javier’s voice is low, dangerous, a growl vibrating from his chest. “Who the fuck do you think you are, touching what’s mine?”
The laugh that bursts out of you is involuntary, bitter, filled with disbelief. His?! Your mind spins. After everything he’s done, after the way he broke you, he still has the audacity to act like you belong to him? Like you’re some possession he can claim when it suits him?
“She didn’t tell me she was seeing anyone,” your date stammers, already backing down, and you want to scream. Men used to go to war. Now, they cower when a bigger man steps in.
You feel an irrational surge of anger, not just at Javier but at this pathetic display of submission.
“Because I’m not,” you spit, stomping over to where Javier has your date pinned against the wall. You shove at Javier’s arm, trying to break his grip, but it’s like trying to move a mountain. You forgot how strong he is, how solid. His presence alone feels suffocating, like a storm rolling in and swallowing all the air around you.
Javier’s eyes flick toward you for a split second before turning back to the man trembling in his grasp. “You come near her again, and I’ll shoot your fucking knees out. You hear me? She doesn’t need a limp dick motherfucker like you putting your filthy fucking hands on her.” His words are a snarl, dripping with venom, and you can see the terror in your date’s eyes, his resolve crumbling as fast as it appeared.
It’s brief, but, you think your date might actually muster the courage to stand his ground. However, Javier’s patience snaps, and before you can react, he drives his knee into the guy’s groin with brutal precision. The man lets out a strangled whimper, doubling over in pain, and Javier finally releases him.
You gasp, hand flying to your mouth, watching in disbelief.
“Understood?” Javier’s voice cuts through the alley like a blade.
Your date nods frantically, both hands clutching his crotch as he stumbles away, all but sprinting out of the alley like a scared animal. The sound of his hurried footsteps fades, leaving you and Javier alone in the dim light.
Your fury boils over, fists clenching at your sides. “You’ve got some fucking nerve, Peña,” you snap, marching up to him and shoving at his chest with every ounce of strength you can summon. But he doesn’t budge. He stands there, unshakable, like the damn tower of arrogance he’s always been.
“Ruining my date, acting like you have some claim over me. I’m not yours anymore!”
Javier’s dark eyes are locked on you, tracing your every movement, burning a path from your heaving chest to your flushed cheeks. He doesn’t say a word, but his gaze alone sends a shiver down your spine.
It’s not just anger in those eyes. It’s something else, something that has always made your pulse quicken. The intensity of it makes your breath hitch, even though you’re trying your hardest to stay mad, to stay strong.
You push him again, but it feels like pushing against stone. “You think you can just show up, intimidate some guy, and suddenly I’m yours again? That’s not how this works you asshole.”
He says nothing, his chest rising and falling as he watches you, eyes dark and unreadable. Then he leans in, his voice low and rough. “So I’m just supposed to hang back and watch you practically fuck that guy in front of everyone?”
His words send a jolt of heat through you, the way his voice drops to that familiar, dangerous rumble that used to make your knees weak. But you force yourself to stand firm, to remind yourself that you’re mad— furious, even.
You won’t let him have this kind of power over you again. You can’t.
“Go to hell, Javier,” you snap, shoving him one last time before stepping back, your heart hammering in your chest.
But even as you say it, you feel the pull, that magnetic force that’s always existed between the two of you. And as much as you want to hate him, you can’t deny that part of you still burns for him, still aches for the way he used to make you feel.
“Chiquita,” he drawls, sending shivers down your spine. “You can’t talk to me all angry like that, looking this fucking good, and expect me not to want to push you up against that wall and fuck you like you need.”
Your jaw drops, your brain scrambling for a response, but nothing comes out. His words hit you like a slap, bold and filthy, and despite yourself, heat shoots straight to your cunt. You curse under your breath, hating how your body betrays you.
“Y-You—” you stammer, but you can’t even string a sentence together. And that’s all it takes for him to smirk, that infuriating, knowing smirk that tells you he still has that effect on you.
“You’ve got that girl in there,” you snap, voice trembling even as you try to hold your ground. “Your secretary, and probably half the goddamn city, waiting to spread their legs for you. Not me. Not anymore.”
But even as you say it, your voice falters. The truth you’re trying to convince yourself of feels thin, weak in the face of his presence. He takes a step closer, and instinctively, you take a step back.
“Still hung up on that?” He shakes his head, almost amused. “C’mon, baby, I told you. She was a mistake. She came onto me.”
Another step forward. Another step back.
You can’t believe he’s really doing this— feeding you the same tired excuses. But then again, you can. This is exactly what men like Javier Peña do.
They lie, they cheat, and they make you feel like you’re the one being unreasonable.
“Bullshit someone else, Peña,” your voice shakes again, betraying you. “I’m done with you.”
But he keeps advancing, every step pushing you back until your spine hits the cold, rough brick of the alley wall. You curse under your breath, ready to slip past him, to get out of here before he does something you can’t walk away from. But he moves faster, caging you in with his hands planted on either side of your head.
“I’m not bullshitting,” he murmurs as he leans in close. You can feel the warmth of his breath against your cheek, and despite every ounce of willpower, your body reacts.
His dark brown eyes burn into you, their intensity pulling you under. “She meant nothing. Pussy wasn’t even half as good as yours. Couldn’t even compare.” His nose brushes the side of your face, and you know he’s inhaling the scent of your perfume— the one he always loved.
“Javier…” you try to protest, but your resolve crumbles with each passing second. His hand finds your waist, slowly trailing up the length of your body, fingertips grazing your skin through the thin fabric of your dress. Your breath hitches, and you hate yourself for it.
“I’ve missed you so much,” he whispers, his voice softer now. His palm comes up to cup your breast, kneading it gently, and your eyes flutter closed, surrendering to the familiar touch that your body still craves, even if your mind is screaming at you to stop.
“You’re a liar,” you breathe, barely managing to get the words out as his fingers tease your hardened nipple through the fabric of your dress.
Before you can react, his other hand moves with lightning speed, wrapping firmly around your throat. He squeezes just enough to tilt your head back, forcing you to meet his gaze. The heat in his eyes is undeniable.
“Don’t say that,” he growls. His grip tightens just slightly, enough to make your pulse quicken under his palm. “Do you know how much it fucking hurt to see another man touching you the way I did? Huh?” He leans in, his lips hovering near your ear as his breath tickles your skin. “You can be so inconsiderate sometimes, cariño.”
Your heart races in your chest, caught between anger and arousal. You should push him away, should scream at him, but the way he’s looking at you— like you’re the only thing that matters in the world— makes it impossible to move.
You open your mouth to speak, but his grip around your throat tightens just enough to rob you of breath, silencing whatever retort you had.
“Letting him put his hands on you like that…” he scoffs, his dark eyes scanning your face as if daring you to deny it. “Touching up on my pretty pussy like he had the fucking right. Like he could handle what’s mine. Even if you had fucked him, we both know he wouldn’t have left you all sore and throbbing the way I do. Wouldn’t have made you wet enough to take his small cock. You’d have to fake it. And for what? To try and make me jealous?”
His words are cutting, sinful, and despite your anger, you feel the way your arousal smears against the fabric of your underwear.
The twisted satisfaction in his voice, the way his grip tightens then loosens just enough for you to breathe— he knows exactly how to break you down, how to remind you that no one has ever made you feel the way he does.
“It seems like it worked,” you manage to gasp out, your voice a rasp as you gulp in air. “You came out here all pissed at the thought that someone else could make me feel better than you ever did.”
That’s what does it. His control snaps.
In an instant, his lips crash against yours in a bruising kiss. It’s rough, possessive, and desperate. His tongue invades your mouth, demanding and unapologetic, as if he’s punishing you for even thinking someone else could replace him.
His hand, the one that had been so firmly on your throat, moves to grope your breast, squeezing you roughly. You moan against his mouth, your body reacting on instinct, traitorous in its desire for him.
“Esos ruidos tan bonitos. Solo para mí.” He murmurs when he pulls back just enough to speak, a string of spit still connecting your mouths. His voice is low, vibrating with dark satisfaction. “Si alguien está mintiendo aquí, eres tú, chiquita.”
His words swirl in your head as you gasp for breath, but before you can form a coherent thought, his hand is already sliding down your body. His fingers trail down your waist, lingering at the hem of your dress before slipping underneath. You let out a sharp gasp, biting down on your lip as his fingers find your soaked panties.
It all happens so fast after that. The hunger between you ignites like a flame catching gasoline. The intensity of the kiss deepens, all teeth and tongues. His possessive touch makes you writhe beneath him, your body yielding even as your mind fights to hold on to some shred of dignity.
“Look at you,” he breathes against your lips, his voice dripping with desire. “Moaning for me. You always do, don’t you?”
“Javier…” You try to protest, but your words are swallowed by another moan as his fingers slip inside your panties, brushing against your throbbing clit.
“Shh, baby. Let me remind you what you’ve been missing,” he whispers, his breath hot against your skin as his fingers begin to stroke you. His movements are deliberate, knowing exactly how to play your body, how to coax those helpless little noises from your throat. “God, you’re so fucking wet. All for me. Always for me.”
You gasp his name, your hands gripping his shoulders as his fingers slide inside you, curling just right. The tension in your body melts, replaced with a rush of heat that pools between your thighs. Your mind blanks, lost in the feel of him— his hand working you over, his mouth pressing hot kisses to your neck.
“You mean everything to me,” he whispers into your ear, his voice ragged as he pumps his fingers in and out of you, the slick sound filling the alley. “This tight little pussy? She was made for me. Feels like heaven around my fingers. Imagine how good she’ll feel wrapped around my cock, huh?”
Your body trembles, your breath coming in short, ragged gasps as the pressure inside you builds with each thrust of his fingers. You know you shouldn’t be here, pinned against a wall, letting this man who shattered your heart pull you apart like this.
But God, his touch is addictive. His possessive words ignite every part of you.
“Say it,” he growls, his fingers curling deeper, hitting that perfect spot that makes you see stars. “Tell me you’re mine.”
“Javier…” Your voice is barely a whisper, your resolve crumbling with each passing second as he drags you closer and closer to the edge.
“Say it baby,” he demands, his breath hot against your skin as his thumb presses against your clit, sending a jolt of pleasure through your body. “Tell me I’m the only one who can fuck you like this.”
“No,” you gasp, using every ounce of willpower to bring your hand down, gripping his wrist, halting the delicious rhythm of his fingers inside you.
His fingers still, his breath heavy against your skin as you lock eyes with him, summoning every shred of confidence through the haze of lust clouding your mind. “You tell me that. Tell me I’m the only one who drives you this crazy.”
The tension crackles between you, thick and electric. Your chest heaves, heart racing as his dark eyes search yours.
He groans, leaning in, his lips brushing yours with a desperate hunger. “You are,” he breathes, but it’s not enough.
You can’t help but smirk, your pussy clenching around his fingers just to tease him, making him hiss through clenched teeth. “Say it like you mean it, Javier,” you demand, fueled by the fire burning between your thighs. “You broke my fucking heart, and if you think you’re going to fuck me tonight, you’re going to admit it. Tell me I did everything right. That you are the one who’s hurting. Tell me how much you miss this pussy. How you crave her on your tongue, how you miss fucking her in your bed.”
His eyes drown in lust at your command. His fingers twitch inside you, but he doesn’t move yet. Instead, he pulls back just enough to meet your gaze head-on, staring straight into your soul, his breath ragged and uneven.
It’s a battle of wills, and for a second, you think you’ve won.
“I’m sorry, pretty girl,” he purrs, and finally, his fingers begin to move again, slow and deliberate, a tantalizing rhythm that sends sparks of pleasure shooting up your spine. “Sorry for hurting you so bad you felt the need to find another dick to hop on.” His thumb presses against your clit, making your hips buck involuntarily as you gasp at the sensation. “I fucked up. You deserve better.”
His words are laced with apology, but his actions? Pure, selfish desire. His fingers curl inside you, hitting that perfect spot that makes your toes curl. Your head falls back against the brick wall, eyes fluttering closed as a ragged moan escapes your lips.
“But I’m too selfish to let you go,” he murmurs against your skin, his voice low and husky. “I need you, baby. Miss how sweet you taste, how tight you feel.”
Javier’s mouth is on your neck then, his tongue darting out to lick at the damp skin, tasting the salt of your sweat as his fingers continue their relentless assault. Each stroke brings you closer to the edge, and it’s intoxicating— how easily he can unravel you, how effortlessly he pulls you apart.
Your body feels weightless, high on him, and with each praise, each filthy promise that falls from his lips, you’re hurtling toward your release. His thumb circles your clit faster now, his fingers curling deeper, and you can’t hold it back any longer.
“Javier!” you cry out, your walls clenching around his fingers as the orgasm crashes through you, making your body tremble. Your moans fill the alleyway, breathless and raw, and as you come undone, his mouth crashes into yours in a sloppy, desperate kiss.
He swallows your moans as he undoes his belt with one hand, his fingers never leaving you until the last possible second. Before you even have time to catch your breath, he’s lifting you off the ground, and instinctively, your legs wrap around his waist.
You barely have time to gasp before he’s thrusting inside you, burying himself to the hilt in one swift, brutal motion.
“Oh fuck!” you exclaim, your arms flying around his neck as he starts to pound into you, his thrusts deep and punishing. The sound of your bodies colliding, skin slapping against skin, echoes in the narrow alley. Every thrust pushes you further up the wall, and you clutch onto him for dear life as he fucks you hard, like a man possessed.
“Feels so good, baby,” he growls into your ear, his hands gripping your hips as he drives into you relentlessly. “Only I can fuck you like this. Only I can make you scream.”
And you do scream, pleasure and frustration mixing together as you meet his punishing thrusts, your body moving on instinct, chasing the high that only Javier can give you.
“You feel that, pretty girl?” His voice is a low rasp in your ear, thick with need, sending a jolt of pleasure straight through your core. “This—this is how I fuck what’s mine. No one else can make you feel like this. Admit it.”
His grip tightens on your hips, fingers digging into your skin as he drives into you, deeper, rougher. It’s brutal how good he feels, how perfectly his cock stretches and fills you, like your body was made for him.
You hate him, hate that he can still make you feel this fucking good, but your body betrays you, responding to his every touch, clenching around him as if to hold him there forever.
“I—” you stutter, breathless, eyes crossing as the sensations drown out your thoughts. His cock is relentless, pushing you toward the edge again, and you can’t hold back the moan that escapes your lips. “I—God, I hate you…”
But it sounds hollow, even to your own ears. The truth is you can’t resist him, never could. He knows exactly how to break you apart, and you despise how much you crave him, how much you need this despite the pain he’s brought you.
Javier chuckles darkly, his breath hot against your neck. “No, you don’t. You love this. You love the way I make you feel.” His lips brush the shell of your ear, biting down on your lobe. “And I love the way you fall apart for me. Just me.”
You bite your lip, trying to stifle the moans that threaten to spill out as he thrusts harder, faster. You can feel the pressure building inside you again, tightening with every stroke, every whispered promise of what he’ll do to you.
It’s almost too much, the way he claims you, body and soul. And the worst part? You’re letting him. You want him to.
“Say it,” he demands, his pace quickening, hips slamming into you so hard you’re sure you’ll feel it for days. His lips find yours again, his kiss angry and claiming. “Say you’re mine.”
You shake your head, gasping, fighting against the overwhelming pleasure threatening to consume you. “Javier—”
“Say it,” he growls, his voice rough and insistent as he reaches between your bodies, fingers finding your clit. He circles it with precision, sending sharp jolts of pleasure through your body, pushing you closer to the brink.
“Fuck!” You cry out, the intensity of his touch stealing the breath from your lungs. Your body is on fire, trembling, and you know you’re about to shatter beneath him. “I—I’m yours…”
The words tumble from your lips in a desperate whisper, and the moment they do, it’s like something snaps inside him. His thrusts become brutal, animalistic, and your world narrows down to the feel of him— his cock, his hands, his lips, all of it overwhelming you, driving you toward that final, devastating release.
“Good girl,” he murmurs, his voice dripping with satisfaction. “Now come for me.”
And with that, you do. The orgasm hits you like a tidal wave, crashing through your body with a force that leaves you breathless. Your walls clench tight around him, your moans loud and unrestrained as you come undone in his arms, shaking and trembling.
Javier groans, his thrusts becoming erratic as he follows you over the edge, spilling himself inside you with a low, primal grunt. His body shudders against yours, his grip on you tightening as he rides out his release.
The world is still. All you can hear is the sound of your ragged breaths and the pounding of your heart as you both come down from the high. You’re pressed against him, his forehead resting against yours, the intensity of the moment hanging in the air between you.
But as the haze of pleasure fades, reality starts creeping back in.
You push him away, your palms flat against his chest, but he doesn’t move, if anything, he tightens his hold on you.
His brown eyes still linger on yours, filled with the same possessiveness that’s always been there.
“I told you,” he murmurs, voice low, as if this moment has proven everything he wanted to. “You’re mine.”

letting your captain hit because you felt so guilty about him being so alone. you knew this wasn’t exactly a good thing to do and that you were definitely on the wrong path.. but when you saw captain mactavish looking for your gaze every single day at training you knew this was already long lost. you promised yourself you’d never catch feelings and that this would only be something you did out of fun and to make him feel a little better about all the shit in his neck, but..
you knew he talked to ghost and roach, and he also had people like worm and the others, guys that he considered friends, comrades, you name it. but you weren’t a friend, that’s for sure — you were someone that just sometimes ran out with the rest of the reserve squad when they needed more armed people for a mission. you weren’t important at all, you could have died at least fourteen times already when you were deployed, it just showed that you weren’t even good at your job either.
one sentence was already able to make you surrender to him and melt; “how was your day, munchkin?” and it felt so bad to give in to him so easily.
but when he came into your room and told you how he saw you try your best today. when you saw his head peeking into your room after a mission, face paint running down on the side of his head as the sweat and rain had made the black lines turn into liquid again, dripping down. you spent so much time admiring him, not just as a person who was above you, your higher-up but also as a man.
getting lost in your thoughts was always routine while he had his head between your legs, your fingers tugging at his mohawk, pinching and twisting strands of his hair while you were slightly trying to squirm away from his tongue. his pair of strong arms kept you tightly pressed to his nose, though, the tip of it bumping against your clit every single time he somehow licked deep inside you like you were nothing but that ice cream he had been craving ever since he got deployed again. that tongue did wonders and you were the one that knew that the most.
he held you in your place while you tried to close your thighs up when you were already so close to your orgasm, your entire body lifting up as you involuntarily jerked yourself forward, butt no longer in contact with the bed. he was quick to press you down, lapping at your folds and eating you out like you deserved it when you knew you didn’t. a pathetic solider you were, not even respecting the basic rules of the military and letting your captain eat your pussy.
his mouth was kissing your clit every time he quit licking to take a deep breath, looking up to your face every once in a while to see if you were still enjoying it. he knew when to stop, he knew when you were getting too overwhelmed. he knew all of your nerves down there like the back of his hand. he put all of your pleasure high above his, the both of you completely forgetting the fact that in the beginning this was only to make him relax and help him not to go insane.
you thought you were slick with this whole thing, keeping the burning feeling of humiliation and also some faint trace of love (that was somehow stronger than the other one. why?) in your chest hidden, never saying a word about it and hoping it would go away on its own once you return back home and lose every contact with this whole fucking shithole of a military base and the people there.
but a strong feeling hit back at you on a random thursday afternoon when you were just taking out the trash and checking the mailbox — bloodied dog tags of john mactavish shipped to you in just a bubble mailer, a small little note attached to it that you were the only person he mentioned by name in his will.

😚Zoom Zoom Mama G has posted again!!!
HOPE YALL ENJOY THIS ONE AND I HOPE ITS NOT TO BAD….(You’re older than branch but younger than Floyd btw😌)
Family Reunion||Brozone x Sister Reader
Warning:Angst and Mild Cursing
Word Count:1.3k
Other:It’s kinda proof ridden😝✌️
====================
You knew JD wasn’t always the best brother, but you didn’t expect for it to go like this…
“It’s called BRO-ZONE meaning BROS not GALS” JD said angrily at the h/c haired troll. “So youre saying just because I'm a girl I can’t be in the band. I’m basically the damn melody John.” you loudly yelled at him clearly pissed at how your brother didn’t want you to ruin brozone. “It has to be perfect and the name is perfect for bros. MAYBE IF YOU WERE PERFECT IT COULD WORK, BUT YOU’RE JUST A FUCKING MISTAKE FOR THE BAND” he yelled at y/n tired of her shit. He didn’t mean to totally call her a mistake, but it was too late. She already ran to her room in the shared pod, crying her eyes out and muttering small complaints. All the brothers stood with their mouths agape from witnessing the scene. “John what the hell,” Bruce said, holding the blue decorated egg with blue hair sticking out. “You just called her a damn mistake” “Maybe she is and it would be best if she left….The band is almost there and she’ll just get in the way.” John said it as if he was hoping y/n would leave to save the band for the family harmony. After John said that all the brothers left the area with sour and disapproving faces. Ignoring him till later that night.
It was now 2:34am and fast paced footsteps were heard around the pod waking John up from his humble sleep. He groggily dragged himself out the bed and headed towards the noise and found his three brothers and branch’s egg sitting in the living area. “What’s going on and why are you guys up so early.” John said, kinda annoyed from losing his beauty sleep. “Y/n left” Clay said barely above a whisper. “Huh,” John asked again, not being able to hear Clay. “Y/N FUCKING LEFT” Clay bursted as his tears started pooling his eyes. “You drove our sister away because of your stupid and glorious dream. Now she’s out in the wilderness by herself and we don’t know if she’s alive or dead.” John felt his whole body freeze and run cold. Did he fuck up or was it just you overacting? Before Bruce could add in to the statement, John wasted no time in leaving to go put on his jacket and shoes ready to go find y/n. He left out the door after he finished getting dressed, without a word to his brothers.
________________
{Y/n’s POV}
I woke up in a cold sweat, absolutely drenched from the wrenched nightmare of your older brother. My mind has been messed up recently ever since my eventful trip to mount ragous.
FLASHBACK
“It’s some kind of love”
A voice rang through the area. It was so soft, but with a familiar melody.
“It’s some kind of fire”
It was my part? But sung by someone different. An angelic voice.
“I’m already up, but you lift me higher”
But that’s when it hit you..it was your brothers with a now full grown relationship saving Floyd.
TIME SKIP DONE
{2nd POV}
After your brothers and those two mystery girls brought Floyd back, you couldn’t help ,but feel nothing but relief and a little wave of nervousness. All five of your brothers were standing right there together but the time just didn’t feel right for you. You wanted to go hug and celebrate with them, but you just felt disappointed and angry at them for not trying to find you. Without a word you started walking away, but caught what now sounds like a grown man spruce saying “How about we all celebrate at Vacay island this weekend.” You then had an idea set up perfectly for this Family Reunion.
{Y/N POV}
I sighed heavily as I parked my motor beetle in front of this big resort looking restaurant. “I hope they aren’t too mad to see me” I told myself, trying to hype myself up from all the nerves. As I step foot into the resort I see this tall yellowish woman at the bar, so I head over to ask her where the boys may be. “Umm excuse me…can you help me” I asked her in my nice bright tone. “Of course hun! What can I help you with and by the way you can call me Brandi” she exclaimed, clearly being an extroverted person. “Well you see I’m here looking for my brothers and i’m kinda here to reunite with them after basically being away for 22+ years” I say not trying to sound crazy or out of the ordinary. “Ok well what are their names?”Brandi asked me as she took out a notepad ready to write them down, assuming that it was more than one. “Well to start off it’s John Dory for the first one and Bru-” “Is that them?” she pointed to a corner before quickly apologizing for cutting me off. I was literally stunned when I saw all of them bonding and getting along like we were little kids again. I guess Brandi picked up on my distressed and nervous face that she offered and said” If it makes you any better I can go with you for emotional support” She says tucking a burgundy loc behind her head. “I would like that very much”I say releasing some pent up air that I didn’t know I had.
As Me and Brandi walked to the corner it felt like time was slowing down and my breaths were getting shorter by the second. I was trying to calm myself down in my mind, but I was brought out by Brandi speaking. “Um hi y'all sorry to interrupt, but you guys had a little surprise that decided to drop in today.” As on cue I stepped from behind Brandi with nothing but hope and fear in my chest.
“Who’s that?” Bruce said as he looked at the familiar troll. “If you wanted an autograph you could’ve asked us” John laughed as he pulled out a notepad and passed it around to each of the brothers to sign. “Are you guys kidding me?” I exclaimed, wondering if they were joking or not. Every single last one of them looked at you with a dumbfounded expression. “After leaving, you guys clearly forgot me” I said with tears in my eyes as i couldn't believe that they forgot me. “It’s me Y/n…. but I guess you guys didn’t care” I bitterly laugh as I see the visible expression changes on them except Branch. Guess John got what the fuck he wanted” I said getting ready to leave, but felt a hand gently catch mines, stopping me from leaving in the progress. Before I could turn around, I was pulled into a hug by a pink and white haired troll. “We could never forget you n/n” Floyd said genuinely. Slowly one by one the others hugged me except JD and branch.
Me and JD stared at each other as if we were to look away, we would die. Jd cleared his throat before saying “Umm are you good” while giving you that charming smirk. If looks could kill, JD would be dead right now. “That’s all? No sorry or are you ok sis.” I say starting to get angry. “Just be glad I'm happy to see you.” “Or what Jd” I said, letting a few tears fall. “You wanna know how tired I am from fighting with you. I bet Branch didn't even know he had a sister till now.” I advertise my hand to point at a shocked Branch. “But when I want my older brother to show me affection and let me be apart of the group it’s a fucking problem.” I say getting tired of his mess. “I don’t care no more JD. I will really walk out of this resort and leave again if that’s what you want.”I said, grabbing my helmet from the nicely made table. When Jd just stared at me I knew he meant it. So therefore without any words I got out of there and left. But before I did I said….
“So much for a Family Reunion….Hope we meet again, but on better conditions.”
IF YOU WANT A PT.2 WITH FLUFF LMKKKKKK!!!!!

AN: I’ve jumped on the best friend trend. so plz enjoy this best friend Noah smutty thought i had. this was a quick write, and also written on my phone so plz ignore the capitalization errors.
NSFW below the cut ◡̈
Honestly, if anyone were to ask, you weren't sure how you would have told them. how it started, who brought it up, or even how the topic came up. but here you were, pj shorts at the foot of his bed, legs spread and Noah watching you from his desk chair.
you were both giggly about it. it seemed silly, but he’s your best friend who cares? but that all went away the second your legs spread. the man's eyes going a little wide, pupils blown as he watched your hand roam down your body.
this wasn't sexy, well it wasn’t meant to be.
"uh, like this?" you asked, a little embarrassed. "fuck, this is stupid."
you were against his pillows, the show long forgotten, the bowl of popcorn moved to his desk. Noah was still at his desk, starry eyes watching you intently.
your hand was down the front of your underwear, shakey fingers searching for something you shared you’d never been able to achieve on your own.
you still were questioning why you told him.
Noah adjusted himself, his growing cock pressed against the fabric of his shorts. forever wishing he put on boxers today.
he didn't know the rules when it came to getting yourself off in front of your best friend. so he kept it a little light, laughed breathily and asked, "you're such an idiot. are you even touching your clit?"
his words ran through you, a simple question truly but it was bordering on the dirty talk you desperately craved to come from his mouth.
you squirmed, shrugging, unable to take your eyes off of Noah. he was watching your hand move, content with seeing your fingers moving through your folds.
"i think so?" you claimed. "i don't know. it's just, it's too wet to feel anything really.”
Noah felt his breath get stuck in his throat.
you watched his cheeks burn, wondering if he'd move closer, if you asked.
you don’t know when, but he’s at the edge of his bed now. still in his chair. his fingers brushing against your ankle.
"no, I know. fuck, um-" Noah swallowed, shifting again. "move in circles, be a bit softer. fuck, sweetheart. yeah, you'll feel it."
so you did, two fingers exploring slowly, up and down between your folds, moving a little higher until you reached the spot he was just picking on you for, the pads of your middle and pointer touching a little bump that made your breath hitch.
you laughed to yourself, feeling stupid, feeling floaty, searching for that high. you crinkled your nose, as you did slow circles, soft and shy.
"oh," you mumbled, mouth parting slightly. still watching Noah.
he pressed his lips together, eyes flickering from your hand to your face.
"yeah? does that feel good?"
"uh huh, feels good."
you thought you heard him let out a soft noise.
"will I come?" you asked, still feeling small. "if I keep doing this?"
you were squirming again, moaning softly, chasing your high. he was watching you, open mouthed.
he was too far gone to try and hide it, when he dragged his palm over himself, you moaned, eyes following his movements.
"yeah, fuck. just keep doing that. do what feels good, okay?" voice hoarse, and wrecked, "you're doing so good, baby."
the praise made your hips lift from the bed a little, fingers moving down a little further, confidence building as Noah kept rubbing over his cock,"holy shit, that's fucking hot. you gonna show me how tight you are?" he croaked.
“uh huh”, head tipped back into the pillows. you wanted him to keep talking. you just didn't know how to ask him.
your foot slipped, bumping into Noah's arm and he caught your ankle, wide palm wrapping around as he held you. making you shiver.
"oh, there you go," he murmured. “that's it, baby. fuck, you're so good. can't believe you're gonna let me watch you cum. gonna be a good girl and show me how bad you want it? won’t ever need anyone else after this. just me and you.”

last forever [4/13]
Summary: Zoro only offered to marry you to keep you out of an arranged marriage with a man much older than you. You agreed with the caveat of ending it via annulment once you received word from your parents regarding the original engagement, despite your growing feelings for your close friend.
Pairing: Zoro x Fem!reader, mentioned Sanami later (like epilogue later so chill)
Warnings: Marriage of Convenience, Fake Marriage, referenced sex (waaaaaay later on), mutual pining, Zoro is bad at feelings but what's new there, eventual romance I promise, mention of past attempted assault (I'll warn in that chapter), creepy older dude later on
Note: I DID IT, IT'S DONE IN TIME FOR MONDAY POSTING. This has been waiting to be finished for MONTHS. I feel so bad about that. uuuh but I'm setting up a little bit, introducing Reader's older brother, a few other things for later down the line. Hope you enjoy it.
[Ch. 1] ● [Ch. 2] ● [Ch. 3]
Arriving in Loguetown felt almost like a dream come true, finally being able to get off the ship and stretch your legs. You'd not seen such a busy, bustling town in years. It put even Shells Town to shame with how many people were going about. The stalls of food and trinkets, you were excited to go around and look at everything before you'd all board the Merry again and be on your way to whatever was next. Nami immediately took you to shop for clothes, but you ended up distracted by some of the trinkets at the shop while she got an employee to look at everything she tried on.
The main thing to catch your eye was a sword on the wall, wondering if you should go find Zoro to bring in to see it.
“Oh,” one of the shop clerks smiles seeing you looking at the blade, “That’s from Wano, allegedly! Dad says he brought it back from a trip, but he’s not gonna sell it. It’s just decoration at this point.”
Your jaw clenches and you flinch the tiniest bit hearing Wano, but the clerk doesn’t say anything if she notices. Quickly you turn it into a smile, thanking her for the information and simply stating your friend would like to see it, you’ll try to bring him by, slipping out of the shop before Nami sees you leaving.
You take a deep breath and try to shake off the dread you feel hearing Wano, pushing out thoughts of your higher up fiancé who had every intention of taking you from your family there after the marriage was finalized. You’ve done your best to keep it a secret, it’s not like you’d all end up there anytime soon, if ever, so there’s no need to worry your crewmates about something and someone so far away, right?
Right.
So no need to say anything.
You try to convince yourself of that while looking over the trinkets at a stall you’ve found, not like you really need any of the items you see, but there’s something about the box you’ve been taking glances at constantly that leads the owner to pick it up and bring it over to you.
“It’s a set of wedding bands,” the older woman opens the box, showing you the two silver bands that are obviously meant for a man and a woman, a husband and wife, “Bought them from a jeweler in the South Blue years ago, no one has taken a shine to them yet. Are you in a relationship?”
Blinking, you feel your face grow warm as you smile nervously and shake you head.
“W-Well, I wouldn’t call it a relationship but…I…I have someone I like…”
“Oh I see! What’s this person like then? Must be special if they have your heart.”
“Um, well,” scratching the back of your neck, you don’t really have to think too hard, but it does feel a little weird telling this stranger about Zoro, “He’s really strong, an amazing swordsman, he taught me a good bit of what I know now. He's loyal to all of us, he fought to protect our friend and he…he saved me, I suppose is the biggest thing…”
The older woman smiles as you speak, seeing a shine to your eyes she wasn’t fully expecting. Whoever you’re talking about seems to have more of a hold on your heart than even you realize, she believes. Almost reminds her of herself when she was younger. She doesn’t ask anything else, instead waving you over with her as she starts to package up the ring box and hands it to you in a small bag.
“I won’t charge you for these, I’ve had them so long. Please, give the one to the man you’re so smitten with, maybe some good will come of it.”
She all but forces the bag into your hands, refusing to take no for an answer, even as you offer to at least pay for the bag or buy something else. She makes the excuse that she’s closed now and won’t accept even one berri from you, turning you around herself and sending you off. You felt bad that she just gave them to you, but she was so persistent, you think Nami will believe you haggled with the woman until she gave them to you for free.
Once you’re far enough away from the stall, you stop to take another look at the rings that were essentially forced on you. You don’t know why you wanted to check the box so badly before the woman brought them over to you, maybe some strange sense of what the box was, some weird hopeful part of you just somehow knew what it was.
They were pretty rings at least. Plain silver bands, the thinner one having a small clear jewel on it, you wonder how no one had ever bought them before when the woman said she’d had them for years. Part of you wonders what it would be like to wear the ring and actually be happy about it, and not feel like tearing it off and throwing it in the sea.
Not like it matters, it’s not a real marriage.
Sighing, you close the box and slip it into your pocket, starting to walk back towards the Merry before you hear someone say your name, shouting it a few times with excitement in their voice.
Wait. Wait, I know that voice.
You quickly turn around and have to will yourself not to cry when you see the person calling for you.
+!+
Once Zoro finally has three swords again, his next plan is to find a tavern before you all take off from Loguetown. He’s passed several places that he assumed some of you would be at, but just ducking his head in and looking around briefly showed no signs of any of you.
Mostly he’s been looking for you, to make sure you haven’t gotten yourself into any trouble. Since the day you’d met, Zoro knew you had the ability to put yourself in less than ideal situations, your home life did very little to make you skeptical of strangers, likely almost having it beat into you that you should be ready and willing to help anyone who asked for it. The one and only time it took to get it into your head not help anyone without asking questions was when you’d nearly been kidnapped, if Zoro hadn’t shown up in time and dragged you away. You sure got an earful from him later that night, with the threat that maybe he’ll just let a human trafficker take you next time if you’re that stupid again.
Zoro does realize that’s probably why you stay by his side, clinging to him like glue, but when it was just the two of you, it was the best way to make sure you didn’t get left behind or taken from him.
Part of him wonders how well that actually stuck, now that he sees you on the other side of the road, looking like you’re near tears as some guy talks to you with a bright smile on his face. He looks older, definitely taller than you but still shorter than Zoro, but not by much. He’s almost as blond as Sanji, and seems like he knows you very well. The angle he’s at doesn’t let Zoro know if you’re happy or upset, just that you’re wiping at your eyes with your sleeve, and he feels the need to hurry over to you, especially once this new person pulls you in for a hug that you can’t seem to return.
This guy.
He isn’t your alleged fiancé…right?
No, he’s too young.
“I’m so glad you’re doing well, who are you with right now?”
You sniffle a bit and give a smile before responding.
“I’m with—”
“She’s with me.”
Zoro surprises you by speaking and putting his arm around your shoulders, making you look up at him.
“Oh, Zoro, where did you—”
“Zoro?? So this is him?!”
If it weren’t for his previous status as the pirate hunter, Zoro would be questioning how this guy knows his name. He doesn’t even look at this other person, looking down at you to make sure you’re okay, even when you smile at him.
“Zoro, this is—”
“Hey, nice to meet you finally,” the blond holds his out for Zoro to take, but your swordsman is still wary of him, setting his free hand on his swords to maybe scare him off if he’s upsetting you, “Thanks for taking care of my little sister, man.”
“…little sister?”
Nodding, you move from Zoro to beside your brother, still smiling.
“Zoro, this is Elias, my older brother. He’s the one who helped me runaway and gave me his sword. Elias, this is—”
“Your husband!” Elias gives you such a bright grin that he doesn’t notice how you turn red and start trying to correct him. “I know already, mom and dad were pissed when your letter came. They’re still not sure what to do, you know.”
While he laughs, you sigh a bit, figuring that was why you hadn’t heard anything from them. Your parents must still be expecting you to come home, to say you’ve ended your marriage and they were right the whole time, you’ll just marry the man they chose for you.
It's not going to happen, but you think that’s probably what they want from you. To be a good daughter and do as your told.
It makes you want to throw up, remembering how they treated you.
“You’d think they’d be glad you and I both found people we love, but, you know mom and dad.”
“Since you married Amaya, I thought they’d leave me out of it all but, mom and dad of course.”
You keep up conversation with Elias for several minutes, Zoro barely listening as he just wants to make sure you’re really okay. You’ve never had a bad thing to say about your brother, he knows this, and truthfully, Zoro is happy to see you at least had someone from your hometown who cared about you. He does make note of how you aren’t trying to correct Elias regarding your relationship with him, but it’s likely so he keeps thinking you’ve found someone to keep you safe and away from your parents, even though you’re whole crew has promised that at this point.
Eventually Elias notices Zoro still staring at you both, looking like he’s getting antsy and wanting to leave, and your brother grins just a bit.
“I should get going. Amaya and our parents are expecting me back home in two days.”
“Oh,” your happiness suddenly drops, but you still nod, even when Elias hugs you again and you’re able to return it this time, “It…I was happy to see you, Eli.”
“I was even happier to see you doing well, princess,” Elias ignores you protesting him calling you that, while he turns to Zoro after releasing you, sticking his hand out again, “It was good to meet you too, Zoro. Thanks for taking care of my sister. I’m happy to know she found you.”
For a second you wonder if Zoro’s even going to bother shaking your brother’s hand, until he finally does you feel relieved.
“Yeah, no problem.”
You wave Elias off until he shouts something about you two having a child one day and letting him know immediately, causing both of you to blush fiercely as he laughs until he’s gone, and you look back to Zoro.
“S-So…where do you wanna go now?”
“Let’s…let’s find everyone else. Or at least Luffy.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Zoro turns and starts walking away from you, until you grab his wrist and start dragging him back the other way.
“No, this way.”
“…I knew that.”
He really didn’t, he fully believed that the best way would be back towards the docks, but when you giggle at him and start heading back into town, Zoro tries his hardest not to look at you too closely. Not to dwell on what your brother said, he was just messing with you both, since he doesn’t know the reality of your marriage.
So the fact Zoro’s suddenly wondering what your kids might look like makes him avoid eye contact, ignore the fact you’re still holding onto his wrist as you look for your crewmates. He’s so tired of this, of having people believe your marriage is real, and the thoughts that come with it every time someone brings it up.
Your annulment can’t come soon enough.
+!+
For all the time you’ve spent traveling and the people you’ve met, the strangers from Whiskey Peak were the weirdest ones. You should’ve expected something was up with how accepting they were of pirates, anything except them being Baroque Works members, so it was a shock when you found out that’s exactly what they were. You’ve only heard of the group once or twice from Zoro in the past, normally when you’d lost a bounty target by mere minutes due to their quick work.
So once you found that’s all that inhabited this place, you weren’t surprised to hear Zoro had already taken all of them down by the time you woken up from your nap on the Merry. You’d chosen to stay behind and watch your ship, your home, while the rest of your crew went to the island. You’d been woken up by their sudden return and new members on the ship in the form of Vivi and Karoo, who you’ve taken a quick liking to as you all make your way towards a place called Little Garden.
Although, you have noticed Sanji treating you differently from your other female crewmates. While he openly flirts and falls over himself for the two, when it comes to you, he’s much more subdued and less extravagant, still treating you with respect but in less of a romantic way, it’s more friendly than anything.
But you still feel nervous when you bring it up to him, hoping you haven’t done something to make him like you less since you really do want to be his friend.
“Hey, Sanji, can I talk to you?”
“Of course!” Sanji gives you a grin while you sit at the table, smiling back, as he dries his hands and comes over to stand in front of you. “How can I help the lovely lady today?”
“Why do you flirt with Nami and Vivi but not me?”
You almost instantly shut your mouth when you finish speaking, biting your tongue before groaning over how you just blurted your question out. Sanji doesn’t respond right away, tilting his head as he thinks about it, and you continue to fight the embarrassment you now feel over even bothering to ask. It was a stupid question, Sanji could flirt with whoever he wanted, it didn’t mean anything. It didn’t mean you weren’t wanted, he just didn’t feel anything romantic towards you, that’s all, you reason.
It still hurts to think that though, you’re just making yourself more upset as you wait for Sanji to say anything.
“Well,” he scratches the back of his neck, trying to figure out how to word it in a way that won’t offend you, “I can’t rightfully flirt with a woman who’s heart is taken, can I?”
“…huh?”
That isn’t what you expected from Sanji, of all people. You expected him to apologize that you felt left out, fall at your feet because that’s what he does, groveling and begging tour forgiveness for not showing you the same attention as the other girls.
But this makes you feel better about it, really. You think it’s a testament to Sanji’s character, that he won’t go after someone who has feelings for another, even if you’ve yet to confirm to any of your other crewmates the feelings you have for Zoro.
“I’ve seen how you look at that mosshead of ours. I know you guys said your marriage isn’t meant to last forever, but you really like him, right?”
Nodding slightly, you smile a bit as Sanji continues to grin at you.
“He might piss me off, but if you like him, there’s something good there.”
“I could tell you how we met one day.”
“Sure, might help me understand why you like that shitty swordsman so much.”
Sanji’s constant nicknames for Zoro actually make you laugh, and he keeps up conversing with you as he does the dishes, allowing you to help him bring drinks around to everyone a few minutes later. You two talk and laugh on your way out of the kitchen, you don’t even notice how it’s caused Zoro to watch you again, or how his jaw clenches after you bring a drink to him with a smile, before following Sanji back into the kitchen.
Now seeing you with the damn cook was making chest ache, what the hell is happening?
All of this needs to stop already.

Please please please please please I actually beg, I need a fluff where Sukuna is cuddling with you, his head on your chest while he tells you about… I don’t know, how this is because he doesn’t love you and you’re only good for being a pillow, knowing that is not the case. (Also HIII I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!! Thank you very much for reading this and I hope you have a lovely day, whether you choose to respond or not :D 💞💞💞💞💞💞)
I DROPPED EVERYTHING TO WRITE THIS ITS TOO FUCKIN CUTE AH-
Now Loading...
Starring: A battle weary Sukuna
You were never really sure what to do with your nights when Ryomen was away. Normally, you would spend the twilight hours in his room, in his arms, and in his sheets, curled into his side afterwards and falling asleep to the sounds of his heartbeat slowing down. But, that was out of the question tonight, just as it had been for the last week. He was off conquering something somewhere- you honestly didn’t really care. You just wanted your man- your lord back. Luckily, he was due back tomorrow evening.
Without having many other options, you found yourself curled up on your bed with a book from the palace library. Not a bad way to spend an evening per say, just a lonely one. Ryomen was never a huge fan of cuddling unless it was after he was inside of you- and even then he was more on the take it or leave it side of things. But, his presence was still always appreciated, and on cold nights like these you desperately wanted him home to warm your bed.
You wondered what the fuck was in your tea when you saw him standing in your door way, convinced you were hallucinating. “My lord?” You asked, taking in his battle weary from. “You’re home?”
“Clearly.” He grumbled, death shambling over to your bed and collapsing on it. Admittedly, you were a little put off by it- the metallic smell of blood still clinging to his skin, as if he left the battlefield and went straight to your arms. You didn’t have a lot of time to realize how true that statement was before his arms were wrapped around you, pulling you as close to him as he possibly could and resting his head at the crown of your breast. It almost scared you just how needy he was being.
“You’re home early…” You pointed out, only for him to roll all four of his eyes at you.
“Refer to my previous statement.”
“I’m asking why my lord.” His jaw ticked at your words. He’d killed nobles for less, what made you think you could take that tone with him? He should cut your disrespectful tongue out for even considering to question him.
“We were able to slaughter their forces faster than we expected. None of them were higher than grade two.” He explained, closing his eyes to try and relax.
“Oh, that’s great! Another successful battle.” You smiled, running your fingers through his hair. You swore you heard him purr.
“Yeah.” No. No it absolutely was not. Yeah, none of those foot soldiers were higher than a grade two, but that didn’t matter when there was so fucking many of them. A hoard of roaches could kill a snake given the right numbers, and Sukunas entire force was out numbered, for every one soldier he had that asshole had over a hundred grunts.
It got bleak. Bleak to the point where Sukuna had to really consider the fact he might not be going home. That he might die at the hands of fucking novices of all things. That he might not ever be able to hold you again, to kiss you, to see you. And he didn’t even say a proper goodbye before leaving. For the first time in Ryomen Sukuna’s existence, he was terrified. It wasn’t the first time he had been at deaths door, he was actually a frequent visitor. But this was the first time he made the trip when he had something to live for.
So he pushed through. Unleashed a fourth domain expansion even after the second one took everything he had left out of him, fought harder than he had before, and even felt a black flash. At some point, the enemies stopped flooding in, and it was just him and was was left of his army in the war zone. Yeah, he won, but he would never consider that a successful battle.
You didn’t need to know that though. All you needed to know was he was home. He watched you read your book, content for what felt like the first time ever as you played absentmindedly with his hair. Moments like these were the ones he dreaded losing the most. Soft moments, where he could actually let his guard down and be at peace, even if it was only for a few seconds. He sighed softly, closing his eyes and snuggling closer to you.
“I missed you too, my lord.” You smiled gently at him. His eyes snapped open. You just had to speak, didn’t you?
“I didn’t miss you.” He scoffed in disgust, but still couldn’t find it in him to move, “Know your place whore.” The “whore” was so half-hearted it was laughable. Normally he was able to put some venom in it, but he was feeling particularly de-fanged right now.
“Oh of course. That’s why you're clinging to me like this, because you absolutely did not miss me, right? You don’t love me at all.” You teased him.
“I do not.” He snapped, lifting his head up to properly look you in your eyes so you knew you were on thin fucking ice. “You think this is because I love you? Do you think the sky is red too? You’re comfortable wench, that’s all this is. You’re no more valuable to me than a pillow, or a chair. Love is an entirely human emotion, don’t project it onto me.” He lashed out, before dropping his head back on your chest with a limp thud. “You’ll to well to watch your tongue slut, before I cut it out.” He grumbled, managing to find some venom there this time.
“I’m sorry my lord.” You sighed, returning to your book. A soft, self satisfied smirk did find its way to your lips when you felt him put your hand back in his hair, prompting you to continue playing there.
“Mmm.” He grumbled. Truth be told, Love was a human emotion. Most curses would never feel anything even adjacent to it in their lifetime. But no matter how much he tried to deny it, Sukuna was human once. Mortal blood once flowed though his veins, and a human heart still pounded in his chest. A human heart you held in soft hands, gently protecting without even knowing. You’d never know how hard he fought just to be by your side tonight, not if he could help it.
You turned off the bedside lamp, settling into bed with him. He gently kissed your forehead, a soft action that was forced to go unnoticed, least he have to make good on any of his threats. Or worse, admit he was a fool in love.

Roman Roy x Age-Gap! Reader Headcanons:
Pairing: Roman Roy (Succession) x Reader
Word Count: 2k (warning: mention of Logany child abuse)
Author’s Note: Oh Roman Roy, you're really making me fall in love with your sad little face and your slightly softening heart this season. Thank you for this request, please enjoy these thoughts about Roman Roy with a younger, but still very much legal adult, reader. Also please fill my inbox with Kendall and Roman requests because I am thinking about little else! 😊
Update! Part two here 😀
- Roman Roy has always felt simultaneously like he's never really grown up, and that he was never allowed to be a child. Growing up as the youngest son of Logan Roy he wasn't allowed the chance to make the silly mistakes of childhood folly. Logan had been through that before and frankly he needed Roman to be a serious adult from the moment he could comprehend his father's disapproving glare. Naturally this was an impossible ask of a small, sensitive boy, and led to blows to back of the head when tears threatened to stain the silk shirt he'd been so uncomfortably forced into for another endless press event where he stood like a prop, just desperate not to get in any more trouble or let his dad down worse than he already had.
- As Roman entered adulthood he began to be left out of all the rooms where serious people met and talked about things he could never quite get right; he's wasn't self-interested enough, he didn't have those killer instincts, he couldn't rid his head of the thoughts of how many people would be affected by the company's every move. As Logan and Kendall started to tire of his quippy comments, relegating him to waiting outside for busy work, he could feel himself struggling to meet the thresholds of adulthood that Ken seemed to have carried with him for as long as Roman could remember. This dichotomy of boy and man left Roman feeling like he was never quite comfortable with his age, unsure what lense to see that number through. And then he met you.
- Getting a job at Waystar may have left you feeling a little morally uncomfortable, but you reminded yourself that ten years experience there and you'd be able to get any job in any industry you like, while also being able to pay for your own place. So you pushed that feeling down each day as you entered that office full of rich old white men. Given you'd actually had to earn your place there, rather than just knowing someone, it wasn't long until your work ethic, intelligence and ingenuity had you climbing the corporate ladder in your department and getting you noticed by some of the much higher-ups. Naturally they tried to just take credit for your work, but when the day came that Logan actually asked for an explanation of a report you'd produced, Frank had no choice but to put you in a room with the big boss face-to-face.
- You'd heard nothing but bad things about Logan Roy and as he stared at you in pure contempt while you answered his questions, wondering why his time was being wasted with this young thing from the bullpen, it took all your resolve to hold your nerve, giving short answers and trying not to give him anything to hold over you. Every so often you'd let your eyes flick over his shoulder to the man standing behind him, ten years older than you but pulling at the sleeves of his shirt like a little kid as he watched you face the interrogation, outwardly seeming far more nervous about the situation than you did. After fifteen minutes of watching you hold your head high and speak so confidently about your work, Roman was staring at you unashamedly in a mix of awe, intrigue and disbelief. Despite the age gap you seemed to have all the facets of a self-assured adult that he felt he'd never quite unlocked, while exuding the joyful exuberance of youth he'd never been allowed. He needed to know more about you, so when Logan shouted at Gerri to 'throw you in a dress and bring to this week's investor mixers' he could feel his heart pounding in his chest at the sheer hope and possibility of the answers you might hold.
- You weren't thrilled to spend your evenings surrounded by colleagues, stood to attention in case anyone needed a question answering, but you didn't hate the full railing of designer evening wear that had been sent to your apartment for the occasion. You found yourself trying to blend into the shadows of a corner, unsure of your place in this room and this crowd, wondering if any of the food on display was actually for eating, or if that would be seen as a massive faux pas. Luckily Roman had been keeping an interested eye on you all evening; who you'd spoken to, what you'd been dressed in, the frankly adorable face you'd pulled when Frank handed you a Whiskey twice your age and you took a very unwilling sip, feigning appreciation before slinking away to stick your tongue out at the burning taste. And finally he built up the nerve to approach you now that you were alone, trying to approach casually by picking up a grape from the ornate platter beside you, only to take a bite, realise it was plastic and having to hand it mortified to a waiter that had watched the whole thing from your side. He could feel the blood burning in his cheeks as he watched you try and stifle a laugh, both mortified that you already knew he was a fool and pleased that he'd been able to bring a smile to your face this evening.
"Yeah yeah fuck you." He laughed as he stopped just in front of you, all the words he'd planned to share failing him now that he was close enough to see the beauty in your sincere smile as you shook your head,
"Really I should thank you, now I'm one step closer to figuring out what's actually edible here." You replied with a warmth that almost made Roman recoil, so used to the icy chill he usually received from those around him.
"Well certainly not that whiskey." He nodded to the short crystal glass you'd been trying to put down since Frank handed it to you, tone sarcastic but without the cutting edge he was usually one to deliver. "Why is that the one thing these old fucks actually like to be their own age?" As you laughed again Roman felt a little victorious, he had set himself a pretty low bar but he was confident he was going to be the highlight of your evening.
- As you spent the next week being dragged to different events, you'd always find Roman slinking to your side before the night was through, as if you'd always been old friends, just counting down the hours of everyone else's company. You'd counter his one-liners and then ask him where he'd rather be on a Friday night and make him realise he didn't really know any other kind of night. So when you'd list off your weekend plans, and hobbies and interests, and tell him stories about your friends that had his hyena laugh echoing across the otherwise solemn room, he'd start to realise just how much he was missing out on, and how much he wanted to explore that with you as his guide.
- It stopped being enough, just finding you on odd evenings. Roman would start finding your desk at Waystar, pretending to just be wandering through a junior office coincidentally. He'd glance at his wrist, ignoring the fact he'd forgotten to put on a watch this morning, and comment that as 'technically kind of your boss' he needed to make sure his best employees were actually taking a lunch break, and also were you hungry? Sometimes during the day he'd just melt onto the floor beside your desk, chatting about nothing as you tried your best to type and pay him the attention he so desperately craved. He'd start having all of his meetings in the rooms on your floor so he could wave at you as he walked past the huge glass windows keeping your team contained, an apt metaphor for the walls up inside him he was worried you'd never cross.
- Poor insecure Roman, he'd really try and force himself to ask you out, but ultimately he'd be so afraid of the potential backlash of rejection, that it would be up to you to finally ask if he wanted to grab a drink after work, one Friday when he'd been particularly clingy. You'd take him to a fun, casual bar and watch his eye's light up at people playing darts or ordering fried food and generally the nice, relaxed atmosphere where he didn't feel he had to be the smartest person in the room. Occasionally a friend of yours would walk in a wave and ask how you were doing, and you'd introduce Roman as your friend with no shame or regret and he'd say something funny and get the same rush of pride at making you laugh that he did the first time, and he'd feel like maybe the more time he spent getting to know you, the better he could see himself, still young at heart but not the kid he once was. His lost childhood and misspent youth given a second chance as you offered to see him again next weekend.
- Once you open the affectionate floodgates Roman would be the clingiest koala you can imagine. He'd rarely be as direct as holding your hand, especially not in public, conscious of looking just like his father with a younger woman on his arm. But in the privacy of your little apartment, the one Roman fell in love with the moment he saw it, he'd take a slightly threadbare throw and toss it over the both of you as he all but crumbled into your lap when he wanted to talk about something he thought would make you run. Opening up about his father's wrath and his warped view of himself, glancing up periodically to check you hadn't ran away and left him behind, finding softness in your eyes instead of disappointment and sinking even more deeply into you.
- Roman would think you are an absolute fucking genius for everything you've done for yourself. Worked hard to be the best at your job? Genius. Manage your own bills and do your own laundry? Genius. Carry a water bottle around and make him drink some when he has a headache and somehow he feels better than he has in years? Genius.
- Roman would follow you to hell and back, but you'll have to forcibly remove him from your apartment when you want to go outside. He's never been somewhere that actually felt like home, every soft furnishing and mismatched bowl making him want to haunt your halls forever. If you ever make him a home cooked meal, he'll act like it's not a big deal, but honestly he's crying inside that anyone would go through the effort for him, and that he was the person they chose to be around. Cut to him going thrifting with you to buy five new dishes for you to cook in next time, plus anything else you like.
- Occasionally you'll successfully get him outside for a hike, or a walk, or even a day at a museum or arcade; and Roman will go full toddler on you. Pointing at everything excitedly, running around and shrieking, making sure he was your undivided attention and dragging you by the hand to look at everything. By the time you're home you're ready to collapse, only to notice Roman surreptitiously placing a little souvenir somewhere on your shelf, sneakily bought from a gift shop while you were in the bathroom, before pretending he has no idea how it got there.
- Roman is so enraptured by the incredible, rounded human-being that you are, that eventually some of your self-belief would start to rub off on him, making him feel more sure of himself than he ever has before. Thinking less about the approval of others (except you, he still desperately wants that), feeling confident in his ideas, and no longer feeling like he's stuck in Peter Pan mode - despite falling for someone ten years his junior, Roman would finally feel like he was becoming the man he was always supposed to be, thanks to you.
Let me know if you want a part two of this!

masterlist
Charles knew this was wrong.
You were his childhood best friends little sister, but he couldn't help himself from watching the way your hips swayed in time to the music which blared over the speakers, your mini skirt - Which he knew your brother would not be happy seeing you in - rising higher up your thighs as you moved. He knew that it was wrong to think of himself between your thighs, pleasuring you in ways which you'd never been before, satisfying you unlike how the boy you were grinding against would.
He needed you so bad it hurt.
If his heart were beating he was sure he'd feel it ache in desire for you.
He stood by Arthur, his eyes trained on you as his jaw clenched and he tightly gripped the glass he'd been nursing as he watched you, so tight that he would surely smash the glass into tiny pieces if he held it any harder. He feared if he pursued you any more than he had, then your heart would end up in the same way as the glass could, he feared he'd fall too in love with you and sink his teeth too far into your neck, leaving you helpless and bleeding. He'd never be able to explain himself to Pierre, how could be explain what he had done to his best friends precious baby sister? Your one night fling weeks ago had become a regular thing, despite you being adamant that you loved your boyfriend, but any time you and him had sex, all you could do was think about was Charles, how good he made you feel, how deliciously full you felt when he was inside you, the way that he left you stumbling the next day; scrambling for an excuse to try and satisfy your boyfriend.
"You are staring at her again, Charles," Arthur chided his older brother, he knew just how in love with you Charles was, but also knew that he'd never let himself love you properly for the fear of hurting you. Sleeping with you and being the other man would have to suffice for now.
"No I am not," Charles defended himself quickly, too quickly for Arthur to believe him. "I'm just...keeping an eye on her with that stupid boy. Pierre asked me to." Arthur chuckled at Charles' excuses. The two Leclerc's watched as you turned and faced your boyfriend, giggling as you pressed a small kiss on his lips and heading off to the bathroom, entrusting him with your drink - Which would be your first mistake of the night. Charles watched as you weaved your way through the mass crowd of the club towards the bathroom and flitted his attention back to that of your boyfriend, watching as he emptied a sachet of white powder into your drink.
"Charles?" Arthur nudged him, trying to see what had gained his brothers attention but Charles' attention was otherwise diverted away from his little brother. How dare this boy violate your trust like this?
"Fucker, I'm going to kill him," Charles went to storm off, but Arthur grabbed him before he could do any harm to your boyfriend. "Arthur let me go. He's going to hurt her." He backed off, noticing that Charles' eyes were no longer their usual green colour, now a deep, dark red. His eyes scanned the crowd, seeing you standing back with your boyfriend, now looking disoriented and swaying on your feet, putting up no argument as he grabbed your hand and dragged you through the crowd with no regard to you stumbling over your feet in your high heels.
Charles weaved his way through the crowd, blood and adrenaline pumping through his veins as the music continued to pound through the speakers and coloured lights flashed and illuminated the otherwise dark club that he was in. Making his way outside, his pale skin shone under the Monaco moonlight, eyes scanning for you anywhere in the crowd gathered outside of the club.
"No, I don't feel good," He heard you whining from a dark alleyway a couple of streets down, your voice thick with tears and fear. You felt like you were dying, you were hot one minute, cold the next, your stomach was halfway up your throat ready to be thrown up at any minute, and you didn't have the strength to defend yourself against your boyfriend. You wanted to go home, you wanted Pierre to come and get you and make sure that this boy was too scared to ever look in your general direction ever again. "(Name), please stop, I don't feel well." You pleaded, futilely trying to push him off of you, your eyes welling up with tears as he pushed his knee in between your legs.
"It won't hurt as much if you stop struggling, pretty girl."
That sent Charles over the edge. He promised Pierre that he wouldn't let anything happen to you and now you needed help. Before he could hurt you any further, he was pulled off of you, hitting the wall opposite with a grunt.
Charles loomed over him, his teeth bared and eyes red.
Drowning out the sound of your crying and whimpering, Charles let his instinct take over, tearing into your pathetic excuse of a boyfriend as you screamed and cried, unsure if you were really seeing this or if you were hallucinating. You covered your eyes as you cried, shielding yourself from the violent attack happening in front of you.
Charles huffed he stood back up, wiping blood away from the side of his mouth and turning back to face you, his stomach dropping as he saw your distraught and distressed state. Panicking, he pulled your hands away from your face hoping that his familiarity would in some way calm you down - but the sight of your brothers best friend with red eyes and a face covered in your boyfriends blood only pushed your fear.
"No! Let go of me! Someone help me!" You screamed out, trying in vain to push Charles off of you so you could find someway to get back home. Charles, in a further panic, pressed his hand onto your mouth to silence your screaming.
"Please calm down, ange, it's all okay, I promise," Charles tried to calm you, even if it appeared to be without any result as you continued struggling to try and get away from him. "Please, please just calm down and let me explain, just let me talk to you." Looking into Charles eyes, you found yourself feeling more and more at ease, still despite your efforts to get away from him. His stomach sunk as he realised he'd unintentionally tranced you, leaving you at his mercy.
"Charles, what...what's going on?" You dazedly asked him, slumping forward into his embrace and leaning your head on his shoulder, leaving your neck perfectly exposed to him; Charles found months and years of self-control withering away, he'd never allowed himself to be in such close proximity to you.
"Please not now, Y/N, you need to rest," He tried to persuade you to go to sleep, hoping that under your trance like state that you would. Fighting sleep, you looked up into Charles' red eyes, hoping to find some glimpse of your Charles, not this...blood sucking monster, you wanted your Charles who always made sure to clean you up after your sexual encounters, who made sure that you were still okay with what you were doing, who you knew loved you but for some reason you never knew, could never let himself.
"I love you, Charles," You confessed, pulling his blood soaked face to look at you, even though all he could focus on was the pulse point of your neck, the sound of your blood rushing through your veins was too much for him to take.
He couldn't take it anymore.
You let out a gasp as Charles' fangs pierced through your neck, two sharp pain points flashing and then going numb. You knew that it was futile trying to get away from him, and accepted that if this was how you died, then you were dying in the arms of the man that you loved - even if it meant you'd never see your beloved brother again.
As Arthur made his way outside and up the street to look for where Charles had gone, he stopped in his tracks as he saw you laying almost lifeless in his brothers arms, his teeth well sunk into your neck as the blood had almost been drained from your body and the life drained from you.
"Charles! stop!" He pulled Charles off of you, unsure if you were even still alive. "Oh my God, Charles, you have to help her." Arthur checked your neck where Charles had bitten you, feeling a faint pulse.
"No, I can't, Pierre will kill me, Arthur," Charles was near hyperventilating, and looked at Arthur confused as he let out a chuckle and shook his head.
"Oh, and you think he won't kill you when someone finds her here dead and you have to explain to Pierre that it was you, and that you left her here like a coward because you can't control yourself?!" The two brothers were now panicking, despite being in some way immortal, they were terrified of Pierre, your older brother was fiercely defensive over you. Acting quickly and moving beside you once more, Charles bit into his wrist, piercing the vein and watching as his blood slowly trickled out, much darker and thicker than your own, and put his wrist at your mouth, forcing you to drink his blood despite your very weak protests.
"We'll take her back to my place, tell Pierre she met a friend and she's staying there for the night, deal?"
"Deal."

Pulling Against The Stream
Summary: you've always been drawn to the sea, even if you feared it. When a handsome stranger shows up he completely turns your life and awakens a side of you you didn't even know existed.
Pairings: Bucky Barnes x female reader
Word count: about 11.475
Warnings: 18+, I'm not sure if there really are warnings, nothing gets too explicit. There's talk about nearly drowning, merfolk will eat people (but not in this part). Is Bucky a warning? I think he's a warning🤷♀️
(Notes: this was fun to work on, I fell in love with these two, I'm sad it's finished. Also, sorry Owen, you never did get that apology.)
Part 2
🧜🏻♂️
The wind was a welcome coolness as it rushed through your hair. You looked out to sea, watching the calm waves rush to shore, wetting the sand before retreating again. It was one of your favourite things to do. Whenever you were on the beach you felt calmer. Like all your problems seemed to disappear. Even if for a little while.
You never went in the water, however.
You hadn’t since you were a little girl and you had nearly drowned. You loved water. You just couldn’t sink into it. Every time you thought about it, you saw your mother's face as she panicked and yelled at you. As a young girl you had realized something had been very wrong, and now many years later, you had avoided breaking through that fear, and simply given up.
You ached sometimes however, seeing families walking into the ocean and swimming, playing together, their laughter traveling through the air. If only that could be you. It was you, at some point, but the accident changed so much.
You sighed. You took one look at the water, saying goodbye in your mind, before turning and grabbing your shoes. You walked to the parking lot, trying to brush as much sand off your feet as you could, before slipping on your ankle socks and your shoes. You didn't want to be late. Your friends would give you a hard time about it. You had agreed to go to this party and they weren't going to let you forget it. They had taken you shopping last week for this event, even. A cute summer dress meant to flatter your body, without looking like you were trying too hard.
You knew they'd been trying to set you up with someone, a friend of Genevieve’s boyfriend, some guy named Owen or Odin.. You didn't really know, because you were protesting before they both convinced you to give him a try.
They meant well, but you were fine on your own.
You had a tiny apartment nearby the sea and you had a simple job that provided enough for you to be comfortable. You loved being able to be near the ocean and simply opening your windows and hearing the crashing of the waves, the smell of salt in the air. It didn’t matter that no one understood. You were happy here.
But today was different. Today your friends wanted you to have fun. And you had promised to. And you were going to. One night going out with friends and a hot man. It couldn’t be that bad, right? Sam was a nice guy, his friend was sure to be nice as well. You hoped. And if not, you had no problem bailing.
You showered once you got home, taking extra time to let the pleasant scent of your shower gel soak into your skin, and made yourself ready. You thought you looked nice, when you saw yourself in the mirror. Owen or Olaf should appreciate the effort.
Your friend Beth picked you up, her recently wedded husband in the back swiping away on his tablet.
“Hon’, put it away, it’s after working hours, okay?” she softly told him and he groaned but listened.
“Hi.”
“Hey,” you greeted them, smiling. They had been together since highschool and had just simply never parted. A rare thing in your opinion, but it gave you higher hopes for the future.
“Okay, so Gen told me they were already at the bar, you know the place, right? Shade?”
You did know. It was near the beach, a restaurant, bar and club all at once. It really gave beach resort vibes, but it was a little less rowdy than an actual dance club, and the food was rumored to be excellent.
You had a strong suspicion it was picked out deliberately to make you more comfortable since it was beach themed. You chuckled a little at the idea.
“It has excellent seafood, I heard.”
“We know how much you love that!” Beth told you, smiling.
It was true, ever since you were little you loved anything fishy. Your mother would go mental getting you to eat anything, unless fish was on the menu. You didn’t know why but other meat felt heavier, and you enjoyed the taste better.
It was a nice place. You arrived and it seemed all tables were full, but it didn’t feel too crowded inside. The restaurant had a perfect look out to sea, and the dance floor was separated in a way that the noise didn’t bother the dinner guest. It had a nice atmosphere. Seeing it now you were sure you wanted to visit again. That is, if the food was as good as promised.
You saw your other friend waving from a table in a corner of the room. You saw the friend that was supposed to be your date. Nerves were beginning to show, but you faked being confident as you walked over.
“Hello, making yourselves comfortable I see?” you greeted, watching the guy, Oscar or Otis, getting up and holding out his hand. You shook it. Firm but not too hard. A good handshake.
He was holding your chair for you and okay, gentleman. But that didn’t mean anything. Mannerisms might be nice, but you never knew what lurked underneath.
You mostly listened for the first few minutes to your friends joking and sharing some details about their day.
The waiter showed up soon to take your drink order, and handed you the menu for dinner.
“I heard you liked seafood?” Your date leaned closer.
You nodded. “Yes. A lot. I’ve been told it’s a little unnatural, but I can't help it, I prefer a nice Plaice over a steak.”
“Nothing wrong with knowing what you want.” He smiled kindly.
“Exactly. How about you? Do you have any preferences?”
“Only about my car, and that’s pretty much about bringing me where I want. I know, not very manly of me, but I don’t see the point in getting excited over a piece of metal. It needs to function and if it does I'm good.”
“So what do you get excited about?”
“Honestly?” he leaned over like he was about to tell you a great secret. “I collect old movie posters.”
“Okay, so you love old movies?”
“A lot. My nan used to set me down at the tv to watch with her, I guess it’s where I got my love for black and white movies from. It’s probably to keep the thought of her alive, but that makes me sound mushy.”
“Not at all, it’s sweet actually.”
And it was. He was. He was sweet. You might even like to see him again if this was over. You were becoming more comfortable as the minutes ticked by.
The food was as excellent as expected. The conversation was flowing. And it was great being around your friends again, all together.
Ollie was a good looking man, with kind brown eyes and an equally kind smile. You weren’t sure if there was chemistry between you, or what he even thought about you, but you were sure that if you ran into him tomorrow things wouldn’t be awkward.
The evening progressed smoothly. Eventually your group migrated to the other part of the building, where catchy music and dimmed lights created a bit of a different atmosphere. You got another drink and kind of swayed your hips to the beat of the bass. Your friends were already dragging their partners to the dance area, and you stood next to Otto and kind of felt a little unsure. You wanted to dance, but he didn’t show any signs of asking you. And leaving to go dance alone seemed rude.
“I’m sorry, I am really bad at dancing.” He seemed to notice.
“It’s okay.” You raised your voice to be heard over the music. You were a little disappointed. “Not that I mind bad dancing.”
“No, I know it’s really awful, and I've stopped exposing myself to ridicule as a teenager,” He tried to smile, but maybe he saw in your eyes you were let down.
“I love dancing,” You admitted. “I don't get to do it often.”
“Well, then go. We can talk later.”
You hesitated. “I don’t feel comfortable just ditching you.”
“It’s not ditching when I say you should. Go and enjoy yourself.”
You thought about it for less than a second. “Okay, thanks.” You left your half finished drink and turned to a somewhat empty spot and let the music take over.
It had been a while. You normally didn’t have much time for these sorts of things. And, honestly, you often didn't make the time. You didn’t really like clubs, where it was so warm and sweaty and everyone pressed up against you. But you did like dancing. Moving your body, letting yourself feel like the most powerful sexy being on this earth once you moved to the beat.
You lost time. You twirled and swayed and closed your eyes. You forgot about anything else. But you were thirsty eventually, and glancing around saw your group of friends together talking somewhere ahead. So you walked to the bar to order a drink. While waiting, a body appeared next to you. you glanced up and were temporarily knocked aside by the beauty of him.
Long soft looking brown hair. Blue eyes seemingly glowing down at you as he stared back at you smiling. Oh his smile. Beautiful white pearls. His mouth was full and pleasant.
He was taller than you and seemingly muscular..
He was stunning.
He kept smiling and you were frozen. Looking at him like you had never seen a man. His arm reached out and grabbed the drink the bartender made you and handed it to you, because you were not aware of anything but him. You took it and sipped from it. Thanking him softly , even if you paid for it yourself.
He didn’t seem to move. Seemed comfortable being right at your side. You glanced at your friends once, still animated by themselves and turned to the stranger.
“What's your name?” You asked.
He moved his hands in such a way that made it clear he couldn’t hear you.
You told him yours. And though his eyes twinkled he didn’t say anything. He pointed at himself and made a weird noise. You didn’t get it, until he looked saddened at you.
Was he deaf? Well, no, because he could clearly hear you. What was the word? Mute? You weren’t sure, but you were sure he was telling you he couldn’t speak. “Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but you can’t speak?”
He shook his head. He didn’t seem to have anything with him to communicate either.
He lifted a finger underneath the glass and pushed it upwards. You had to drink or it would spill.
You giggled, “Alright, alright, I’ll drink, stop.”
It should be eerie how much he didn’t take his eyes off of you, but for some reason it didn't feel that way. He curled a finger around a bowl of peanuts and pushed it towards you.
“Oh no, I don't eat those, and you shouldn’t either, who knows how filthy the hands were that touched them.”
He pushed them back again, immediately, looking at them like they failed him. You knew you should go back to your friends. You should. Yet your feet didn’t move. Your eyes were captivated by him. You couldn’t stop looking. And neither did he. It felt like everything around you went quiet, and people ceased to exist. All you saw was him. His shiny hair, his beautiful smile, his eyes who were bluer than the ocean. You noticed you two were standing awfully close once you thought how clean he smelled. He didn’t seem to wear a scent, he just smelled fresh.
You felt a weird pressure in your chest. Close wasn’t close enough. The two of you just stood there, nearly pressed against each other. Wordless. Staring.
You felt him taking your hand.
And you let him. He guided you away. You did not know where, you did not see anyone or anything. Just him. As he led you outside. It was dark, and you felt sand sneaking through your shoes, the silty air of the sea in your lungs.
You were at the beach, the moon shining down on the two of you, illuminating his features.
His hand reached out to stroke your face softly, his eyes following his fingers over your skin, like he wanted to absorb everything he saw and felt about you.
You stood still and let him, it felt like a dream. Everything was blurry but his features were clear. His fingers were so soft as they explored you, his hand traveling over your neck, shoulders, down your arms, you shivered and then he pulled you near.
You hadn’t expected the kiss. His lips were so soft as they stroked yours. You closed your eyes and let him take the lead.
He laid you down. his body covering yours quickly. He was a little cold but you didn't mind as your body was heating up. It felt like a relief to feel his skin against yours.
His lips gliding down your skin, it felt so lovely. Your hands started exploring him the same way.
His strong muscles - and where had his clothes gone suddenly?- but the question left as you explored his form. He was damn near perfect in your opinion, you hadn’t found one flaw so far.
You would have worried about your own flaws if the look in his eyes didn’t stop any negative thought from coming up. You had never seen anyone looking at you the way he did. Like nothing mattered. Like you were the most beautiful woman on this earth. It was neary too much, that look. But you soaked in it, you had never felt more powerful.
Your dress seemed to disappear just as fast as his clothes had gone, you wondered if you were losing track of reality, but it didn’t matter. As soon as you nude bodies connected it had never felt more right. You were both so quiet, like even the sounds you made were private, just for the two of you, no one else was part of it.
You couldn't get enough of stroking his stomach, feeling how he quivered everytime you did. He made a noise sometimes like he wanted to say something, but couldn’t.You looked down, and even his manhood was gorgeous. And you never found it particularly exciting before. He was grinning, like he knew what you were thinking. Maybe your expression spoke a thousand words.
“You’re perfect,” You told him. it was completely truthful. You couldn't feel the shame you were supposed to feel.
His hand was laid against the side of your face, as he looked into your eyes again, like he wanted to say the same to you.
You felt your cheeks warm, weird that this felt so much more intimate than your actual naked bodies currently pressed against each other.
He moved a little closer still, his hand reaching down, and next moment he entered you. You hadn’t expected that. It should’ve been too soon, but he slid right in. Oh. He felt… he felt really good.
He moved, gentle long strokes. Not too rough, but precise.
You moaned now. It felt like your body wasn’t your own anymore. As he played it fluently and all the while your eyes not leaving the other.
You barely remembered when you finished, or him. All you knew was how he felt. And how he kept going, and again. Like he couldn't get enough. He managed to take a break at some point, to gather you up and carry you to your house, naked as the day you were born. It was a fortune you two weren't caught.
At your apartment, he set you down, you didn’t even remember unlocking the door, but as soon as you stood inside he was on you again.
His mouth was pure aphrodisiac to you. You couldn’t get enough. And neither could he, as his mouth and tongue explored all of you. You felt high with how he made you feel. You didn’t think you ever experienced such pleasure, and so much of it.
And all you seemed to notice was his blue eyes that were a beacon calling out to you and keeping you home.
🐚
The next morning you woke to a naked body next to you. Long brown hair spread out over the sheet as he was still asleep.
You took a moment to appreciate the sight.
Then you remembered you had ditched your friends. and your date.
You groaned and fell down on the pillow. you better had a good excuse ready when you faced them. And you didn’t have one. Well besides, “met a hottie and I couldn’t resist, apparently.” God, what had gotten into you? Besides him…
You glanced at him. Well, if you could take a picture Beth would at least understand. She was crazy about those romantic movies with chance meetings. But Genevieve…Well it was her boyfriend’s friend after all, and that made it more awkward.
Your lover woke up. Rolling over, exposing himself without shame. He reached out for you and you held your hand up. “No, I can't.” He actually looked disappointed. What had he expected, you had lost count how many times he was inside you last night. “And I'm afraid I have to face my friend’s wrath for leaving them behind. I can’t believe I did that, without even saying goodbye.”
His hand stroked your hair, while he hummed. Was he comforting you? You peaked through your hair at him. He looked so content though. Well, he hadn’t deserted his friends after all. He had seemed to have shown up alone.
You searched for your phone. It was on the dresser where you left it yesterday. And with about 84 messages staring back at you menacingly.
You decided to check Beth. She was worried. Genevieve’s wasn’t different, but apparently Beth had seen you leave, and they were confused. It wasn’t like you, and especially not without at least telling them something.
You decided a group call was best. Dive into the deep and face your actions.
“I know I fucked up,” is how you started the conversation, “I don’t know what came over me. He just showed up and it was like I stopped thinking, and I'm sorry I worried you. And I'm sorry for Ovid, he seemed nice. I just…. I have no idea.”
“He was very good looking,” Beth agreed.
“Owen is good looking!” Genevieve defended immediately. Owen! You wheeped inside, finally knowing his name…and relieved Gen didn't call you or on it.
“Yes, but this guy was like a model, come on Gen. “
Silence. She didn't want to admit it out loud.
“He’s still here,” you whispered.
“What!” Genevieve yelled. “Oh my god you skank, you let him stay the night?”
“I think we were too busy the whole night to even notice it was morning,” your cheeks reddened while admitting it. “You have no idea, it’s like he couldn’t get enough of me, and I…well I have never experienced this.”
“That good huh?”
“Oh my god you have no idea. He was…he was a lot, but not enough you know? I felt like I was high or something, he is so gorgeous, guys, and his body…if only you could see.”
“I can pretend to drop something off right now,” Genevieve said, deadly serious.
“What, no. No, we want privacy. I think. I’m not sure, he doesn’t seem to mind if anyone sees him naked, and I think…we left our clothes at the beach.”
Shrieking was heard from both sides. You continued to take their teasing for a while. You got it, it was probably hilarious to hear.
“You’re not mad at me?” you asked quietly once they calmed down.
“Maybe, but also, kind of impressed. Sam is probably more angry, because it’s his friend, but Owen took it in stride.”
“Oh god, I don't even know what to say to them.” you sighed. You were feeling shame, you did, but you also really didn’t regret it. Which was weird because you were never this irresponsible.
“Don’t worry, I'll smooth things over.”
“In the bedroom you mean?” Beth chuckled.
“Well it has worked so far. Besides, once I tell him this was the first time you ever got carried away and you're normally not like this at all, it must be a really special person to make you act this way, he'll understand.”
“I don’t even know his name.”
“Oh god this is priceless. You’re finally getting in touch with your inner whore.”
“Am not, but he’s just so..”
“Yeah yeah dreamy, we get it.”
An arm wrapped around you from behind and soft lips explored your neck. A familiar firmness pressing against your back.
“Hey, I’m talking to my friends,” you protested half heartedly, because you were already enjoying the ministrations.
He ignored your words, even though you were sure he understood you just fine. His tongue licked you softly, and your knees buckled.
“Okay, okay, I'm going to hang up, I will talk to you later.”
“Oh my god girl, what's gotten into you, is he-”
You hung up and dropped the phone. He turned you around and picked you up . Fuck, the way he made it seem effortless really did things to you. Forget about being sore, it was worth it.
✨
You were exhausted. Even after taking another nap. Your body pleasantly buzzing with all the attention it received. You had to get up eventually to get food.
Making some eggs and grilled cheese, you offered your lover something to drink. He sniffed everything carefully and then turned his nose up.
“Water then? Can’t go wrong with water.” You offered him a glass.
He did accept it, finishing it in one gulp and handing it out to you.
“Another?” you asked after seeing him drink like this, and he nodded.
He drank about 3 glasses before he seemed to be satisfied.
But he didn’t eat anything,
“Surely you must be hungry?”
He nodded.
“You don’t like eggs? Or cheese?”
He grabbed an egg and broke it to slurp the gooey stuff before you could stop him. A raw egg, you shuddered. But some people did that, right? Like those bodybuilders, for the protein. And he did seem to work out. Your eyes got temporarily lost glancing over all his muscles, before snapping out of it, when you met his eyes and they seemed to darken again. You quickly turned. As much as it was the best night of your life, you were really really tired. Not used to this kind of exercise at all. Your body started tingling however, so it was hard to not think of all the details he had given you to fantasize about for the rest of your life.
“So, I was thinking, we should find something for you to wear. We left our clothes at the beach, and I doubt I have much that fits you.”
He shrugged. It didn’t seem to matter to him at all.
“You can’t walk around naked, you’ll get arrested!”
His eyes glanced at yours, noticing the shock and then he pointed outside. “We should collect it?” You guessed and he nodded. “Well, I’ll go, you can’t go out this way.” So you showered and got dressed, but before you left he kept preventing it by kissing you, and again…And once more at the door. Before you pushed him back inside.
“Someone might see you,” you hissed , looking around if none of your neighbors were in the hall. “I’ll be back soon. Find something you can eat, yeah? I don’t need you fainting from starvation.”
He leaned into you again to kiss you, and you evaded him. “Later!” you giggled, watching the pleased smirk on his face. You fixed your hair, and your shirt, the cheeky bastard had sneaked in a handful, and went on your way.
You couldn’t believe you slept with someone on the beach, in full sight of potential witnesses. Finding your clothes didn’t take long, but your dress was covered in sand and seaweed, and his clothes were wet and needed a good wash. You didn't find his shoes, and then wondered if he had even worn any. You couldn’t remember, you didn’t exactly pay attention to his feet.
You took your hoard home and after a long make out session, where your lover acted like he hadn’t seen you for years, you made your way to the washer.
“Once they’re dry you are free to go.” Then realized that it sounded like you were kicking him out, and hurried to add. “If you want to, I mean, whatever you want.”
Whatever he wanted seemed to be you. His hands wouldn’t leave you alone. And you didn’t know where to go from here. Did one night stands normally stay until the afternoon the next day? Or seemed to keep wanting to have sex? You didn't even know his name.
“I don’t know what to call you,” you told him sadly. “Maybe you can write it down?”
You searched for pen and paper but he just stared at it curiously.
You wrote down your name.”You know, my name…now yours?”
He grabbed the pen and it broke, he must have held it too tight. “Oh shit, okay, no problem. Do you have anywhere to go? Like a job or home?”
At the word home he lit up. He nodded enthusiastically and wanted to go outside
“Wait, your clothes!” You held his hand, “We have to wait until they're dry. Maybe we should watch some tv until they are.” You led him to the couch and turned on the tv. He flinched but soon relaxed and watched the screen fascinated. He grabbed the remote and started zapping quickly, often looking at you with a bright smile like he had found some new toy to admire. You giggled.
“You act like you've never seen a tv before.”
He cocked his head and just stared at you.
“Okay, pick anything you want, I don’t mind.”
He did eventually settle on something. A documentary about ocean life and his bright eyes didn’t leave the screen for a while. Occasionally he seemed to scoff at something the narrator said but he stayed quiet. You wondered what it was like, not being able to talk verbally. It must be frustrating. Maybe even lonely.
He didn’t seem to have anything on him either. No phone or any information to figure out who he was. But he was a grown man and you couldn’t just pry. Besides, it's hard to pry when communication was off.
Once the laundry was done you handed him his clean clothes, and he looked kind of repulsed wearing them again.
“You really like being naked huh?”
He shrugged, then reached out to you with a teasing smile as he lifted your shirt a bit. “Oh no, I quite like being covered, thank you very much.” You giggled as he threw you a pout. “Come on, let's go, you wanted to show me home?”
He lit up again, and quickly grabbed your hand to drag you outside.
“Is it very far? Do we need the car?”
He shook his head and pointed again.
“Okay, lead the way, I'll follow.”
He walked fast, like he couldn’t wait, he made some weird noises in the back of his throat that you interpreted as excitement, and his enthusiasm felt addictive.
He dragged you towards the beach again, then to the water. He seemed to want to keep walking, but you froze.
“No! No I don’t go in-”
He turned to look at you, questioningly. Pointing to the water.
“No, I- I had an accident, many years ago. I don’t swim. I can’t.” You took a few steps back, your heart beating fast. Your mom’s voice and face clearly visible still after all this time, as she found you and yelled, crying, and in complete panic. You had nearly died that day your parents told you. And ever since, you never went in the water again.
He held his hands out for you to take but you shook your head, feeling faint and stepping back to sit down. “No. please, don’t”
He sat down next to you, wrapping his arms around you and just holding you. Sheltering you from the fear that raised inside of you as you remembered.
🌊
It had been a beautiful day. The sun shined brightly and the water seemed calm underneath the boat you were on. You loved the water, and your parents enjoyed being away from work for a while.
As a single child you were used to entertaining yourself and that's what you did most of the day. Walking back and forth on the boat, making up games in your head, watching the sea as the boat cut through the water smoothly.
Your parents were laying on deck somewhere, but you were much too busy to pay attention to them. You had just spotted something that kept your eyes firmly on the water. It never appeared at the same spot though, constantly moving. You didn’t know what it was. At that age your knowledge of any sea creatures was minimal, but it didn’t matter, anything was fascinating at that time.
Your sandwich dropped out of your hands and floated in the water for a second, before it disappeared. A fish? You walked back to your parents, pretending to be hungry still and getting another sandwich. Happily you walked back to the railing again, ripping a piece off and threw it. And it happened again. You were used to feeding ducks, but you never fed anything else, so this was fun!
Another piece and another until it was gone.
In your enthusiasm, and to continue the game, you hand reached out to your doll and you threw that as well. Then watched it float in the water.
Then you realized that your doll was lost in the ocean forever. Would it be eaten as well? Or sink down, like toys often did when you took a bath. You started crying, and wanted to run back to your parents, or the nice man that moved the boat, to make them stop it, to make them return it, but then you saw a hand grab it and throw it towards you. The doll landed with a wet squish on deck. Happily you ran towards it and hugged it, soaking your own clothes, but you didn’t mind. You had little Boop back. The world was perfect once again. You looked up and thought you saw a blur of color coming up and going down again fast. A friend. You were sure of it. Friends did things like this. Sharing lunch and sharing toys.
You ran inside to find stuff you could play with, but not mind missing. Like a plate, and your mom’s purse and one of your dad’s shoes…you grabbed it into your tiny arms and walked back outside. One by one you threw it in the water. And watch it sink, until suddenly it was thrown back up again. You clapped your hands, and threw it back in again.
This little game continued for quite a while, and sometimes you saw more of your friend. Dark hair, eyes looking at you from the water. Why was this boy in the water for so long? Mother had told you to be careful because the water was dangerous here and you couldn’t swim yet.
Why did he stay in the water, he seemed to enjoy it there. You wanted to climb over the railing and go to him, but your mother’s warning sounded in your ears, and you didn't want to get punished. You waved the next time he came up again and he waved back.
You didn’t remember very well what happened in between this fun time, and what happened next, but the sky changed and the boy seemed to fall behind the boat more and more, as the water seemed to be less smooth now than it was before.
There was some yelling from the men on the boat and your mother’s worried voice calling out to you. Eager to listen, you let go of the railing and turned to go towards her, maybe even tell her there was a boy in the water, when a big wave suddenly made you lose your balance.
You slipped easily and went down into the water. The coldness being the most you remembered of that scary moment.
The water seemed to suck you in and closed all around you as it became dark instantly. Your tiny body thrashing against the current and lack of air. You didn’t know what to do, this was something that your mind had not prepared you for.
Cold arms grabbed you, however and dragged you down, or up. It was hard to tell. But you did feel water sliding past your body and he pushed you up , and then air.
The sea kept pushing against your body and kept taking you down, but you were held up and you could breath, you coughed and held onto the arms for dear life.
When he started swimming away, the boat was not even visible anymore, you realized it was the boy. The dark hair and eyes were the only recognizable thing you had seen.
He swam against the current, somehow strong enough to do so, and it took a really long time before anything changed but the vast ocean in front of you.
It was scary but it was also the most exciting thing you had experienced. Because he was a friend! He had helped you! You saw a glimmer under the water, or felt something smooth and slippery against your legs, but it did not occur to you what it was until later. As land came in sight and he pushed you forward until you could stand. But you didn’t stand, your legs were too shaky to. You sat in the middle of the shore as water leapt against you, but you couldn’t be dragged away anymore. He floated in front of you, making sure you stayed where you were.
“Where am I?'' You sobbed a little, the adrenaline coursing through you and feeling scared without your parents.
His face dipped in and out of the water. “Land” he told you.
“I wanna go home,” You whined.
“They'll find you here…I think. It’s land.” He looked around. “They know you fell, they will look.”
You hoped so, this was worse than that time your dad was late picking you up from school, and you had to wait with the teacher as she sighed at the inconvenience. You never felt like she liked you after that. And mother would be angry because you fell in the water, like she told you.
You cried some more, but felt a cold hand around your ankle.
“They’ll come.” the boy said firmly. You didn’t know why you heard him so clearly, while you couldn't talk under water at all.
Then you saw his body. Your eyes glanced from his torse to his legs. But there were none.
You gasped. “Fish?”
He frowned until he saw where your eyes were focusing on, and then he laughed. “No, it’s a tail. So I can swim.”
“Can I get one?” If you had a tail your mother wouldn’t be angry anymore because you could swim just as well as the boy.
“I’m not sure. You’re not like us.”
‘Oh,” you said, disappointed.
“I know some of you can, I saw it myself!” He then said proudly. “And it would make sense. I did save you.” He glanced at you fiercely suddenly. “That means you're mine.”
“Like a friend?” you said excitedly.
He frowned. “What’s that?”
“Someone you play with. Someone you like.” you explained, glad to know something he didn’t.
“Oh. Yes, like that. I like you,” he cocked his head. “I can keep you.”
“Okay,” you smiled. You weren’t scared anymore. The weather, as suddenly as it had changed, had turned calmer again, and you weren't alone. You had your friend.
“I’m going to have to bite you though. If I'm going to keep you.”
Bite you? That didn’t seem fun. You weren’t sure, but you didn’t want to be called a scaredy cat again, like Lisa sometimes told you when you jumped out of the way if she threw a ball at you, and he had saved you, so it might only be fair.
You shrugged, pretended to not be worried and said. “Okay.”
He came up and grinned. It suddenly seemed less friendly like this, but you already said you’d do it, and a promise is a promise, wasn’t it? He slithered up closer, and you were mesmerized by his tail. It was really beautiful colors, blue and white and shiny…you wanted to touch it, but your mother raised you right, you didn’t just touch people. Unless they said it was okay, like you did, to this boy.
He moved really close and you noticed how cold his skin was. You felt his face moving closer to you and wondered where this bite was going to be. He made a weird noise, but he seemed to not say anything if his face was out of the water. Maybe he was shy up close?
You felt his mouth on your neck, and then, quickly, he bit down sharply. You screamed because it did hurt, and moved back, but he moved with you until he let go. Blood was covering his mouth and your hand flew up to your neck to feel.
"That hurts!"
“Of course it does, how else are we supposed to feed?”
You frowned. “You're not supposed to eat me.”
“No, not you,” he seemed to agree, “I Wouldn't bite you there if I was going to eat you.”
Where was he going to bite if he was? you wondered but in your young mind it seemed like an explanation enough.
“Now I can find you. And you'll come look for me , right?
You nodded. Maybe you could go on another boat trip, or sometimes your parents took you out to the beach. You loved the beach! It would be even better with a friend to play with.
You continued talking, and playing. He loved splashing you with his tail, until you shrieked in protest but couldn’t stop laughing. Until you became so exhausted that you started yawning and your eyes were drooping.
“They’ll be here soon,” he frowned, like the thought bothered him. “You should go on land, and I need to…leave.”
“Can’t you stay?” You pouted.
“They can’t see me, they’re not friends.”
You nodded. “Okay, I’ll see you later.”
He hummed and seemed to drift back.
You hoped he would still be nearby so you could wave at him once your parents were here. But you crawled further onto the sand and laid down there, and sleep took over you. It was the worried yells that woke you again.
Your parents rushing over to you and grabbing you and shaking you and so much yelling. Your mother's panicked voice as she said she thought you were dead. That you had drowned. Your father tried to calm your mother down. The two of them taking turns holding you, too rough, too long. You, cryinging and panicking again, remembering the cold dark water. How it kept dragging you back. How there had been no air and your body felt like it was going to explode from pressure.
How afterwards there had been no boat trips or beach days. And how when the time came to learn how to swim your mother's face triggered your fears so much that you hadn't dared to go into the water, and had full out panic attacks until they gave up.
How many trips to the therapists hadn’t been enough to keep from telling that a boy saved you, that not only fishes had tails, until you learned to keep your mouth shut and realized it was a dream. Maybe something your mind conjured up to feel safe again. A savior. A protector.
You still sometimes told someone, like your friends, but no one believed it and you were forever stuck in believing that they believed it wasn’t real, and therefore so should you, and still feeling it had been so real to you.
But what about the bite? Well, there had been one, and your parents took you to the doctors, afraid a shark or something had nibbled on you, but there had been no infection. In fact it had stopped bleeding very quickly, and healed very well. It was a faint shimmer on your skin now. You knew where it was and knew the slight ridges you had to look out for, but it was barely noticeable. Still whenever you rubbed it, it gave you a sense of safety. Something that seemed to look over you.
💭
You sat on the sand, looking out to sea. Next to you sat your lover, maybe you should give him a nickname because it sounded scandalous calling him that. Like a Victorian lady wrapped up in a torrid affair, waiting to be exposed so your older husband could challenge him to a duel to the death. Although, looking at him , you were sure he would win any fight. His body really was something. Healthy, with muscles in all the right places, no tan lines anywhere. Well, he did seem to have a fondness for nudity after all.
You lowered your eyes, you had no idea what had gotten into you. One look at him and you were a goner. Your mind simply stopped thinking for itself and only seemed to focus on his beauty. You never expected to be this shallow. But it wasn’t just looks, he was kind. Even without words he made you feel understood and safe. He had comforted you and listened to your ramblings as you shook under the fear that raced through you. Making noises that let you know he was there. His strong arms keeping you safe from the horrors in this world.
You had told him what happened. Told him about falling overboard and nearly drowning, how your parents found you later, and were surprised to see you unharmed, but were upset nevertheless. How everything resulted in your fear of being in the water. But that you loved the sea, and kept coming back almost everyday, no matter how short. You just never stepped inside it.
How you couldn't swim because of it.
He listened, eyes full of understanding and interest. Not once did you seem to bore him. But you didn’t tell him about the boy, you didn’t want him to think you were crazy, or childish. No, you told him what your parents told you. How you must've swum upwards and the water pushed you to shore again. How you were lucky.
How you had to be more careful. And you could have died. It was something your therapist had said shouldn’t have been said to a young child, but it was said in worry, and your mother’s reaction made your fear worse. You knew all that. And yet, you never dared to dip even a leg in. You tried your feet a few times but it all seemed to overwhelm you shortly after and it felt easier to avoid.
can’t
You looked at Blue, deciding on that name because of his eyes and told him. “I find it weird that the sea can both terrify and soothe me. I stay away, I yearn to be here and yet, I can never let go and embrace it. There is a feeling something will happen, and I don’t know what.”
He wrapped his arm around you, letting you lean against him.
“I wish I could know your name,” you sighed. “I know nothing about you.”
And yet he knew your deepest fear.
He took your hand and laid it on his heart and smiled. It felt like a love confession and you smiled. “You’re the romantic type, huh? All handsome stranger coming to save the innocent lady and sweeping her off of her feet and courting her.”
He grinned widely and nodded, then got up and held his hand out for you. You took it. Then he grabbed and lifted you up as he was holding you in his arms again. You honestly did not think you would ever tire of it. It was such a cliché, but it really made your heart beat faster.
“You’re good at courting too?” you teased, and watched him nod ever quicker.
“You seem perfect. Are you sure I'm not dreaming?”
He kissed you. Well, it wasn’t the worst dream if you were.
🏖️
Your one night stand turned into two, you and Blue spend the whole day together, walking down the beach, collecting seashells, he offered you the prettiest ones and you accepted gladly. You had enough shells, but it was sweet to be gifted them.
You arrived back home, rosy and a little sweaty, and very hungry. Pulling open your freezer and fridge to see what you could make, you noticed open packages and a lot more room than you had the day before.
“Blue?” you asked over your shoulder, knowing he by now knew it meant him, and he appeared a second later in the kitchen.
“Did you…eat the fish?” You asked a little nervously, the question seemingly ridiculous, but there really wasn’t any other explanation.
He nodded happily. and you looked at all the packaging he finished. That was a lot of fish…you also didn’t see any used pans or smelled anything coming back. Now he could have cleaned up… But it had all been frozen, it would’ve taken a while to defrost before it could be prepared. There had not been enough time before you had returned looking for your clothes.
“Did you eat it raw? Because that’s very bad for you.”
He shrugged.
“You could get sick.’ You worried, you didn’t really know what could happen, but getting sick was one thing you heard.
He shook his head.
He hadn’t seemed off, maybe raw fish was okay when it had been frozen, and was still frozen at the time of consumption? You had no idea.
“Are you one of those uncooked food eaters?” you tried.
He nodded.
“Oh okay, well, I don't really know what I have at home for you to eat.”
He pointed at you, grinning.
You laughed. “Well I doubt I would be tasty.”
He grinned even wider, a little more menacingly and stepped forwards, shoulders bracing like he was going to jump you.
“Oh no. I’m chewy, really unpleasant to get stuck between the teeth,” you giggled as you stepped away. “Will give you horrible stomach pains afterwards, you won’t like it at all.”
Then you shrieked as he moved forward and tried to sprint away. Tried, because he had you the next moment. He kept amazing you with how fast he was.
He held you against the fridge and stared into your eyes and hummed.
He made you weak when he looked at you that way. His eyes told you there was nothing he would rather look at than you, and it made you gooey inside. You had never had a man making you feel this way.
“You are so beautiful,” you whispered. So kind, so strong, so gentle. He really did seem perfect.
He kissed you slowly, his full lips just loving yours, taking his time. By the time he lowered them to your neck you had already widened your legs and he lifted you up.
While being carried to the bedroom, you really did wonder if this was real.
💙
The next day you went shopping, there was no food and Blue didn’t seem to like anything you had in the apartment. He wanted to come with you, and you easily agreed, having become used to his presence. you closed his seatbelt for him because he didn’t seem to remember to, warning him ‘safety first’ before starting the car. The way he looked being in your car was strange, but you didn’t comment. You knew he was a little different, and maybe he lived somewhere very remote, or maybe he didn’t come from here. It wasn’t a good explanation, but you had no reason to complain when he was the best man you had met so far in your life. So he didn’t know how technology worked? He knew how to work your body and that was much more important. The thought made you blush. You had never seen yourself as a very sexual creature, but he sure brought it out in you.
Shopping was, interesting, so to say. Blue looked around in wonder, but also passed by most foods you would pick out, and visibly preferred the fish section. You decided to go with what you both would like, but made a note to make sure to cook it for him before he died of salmonella. It would’ve been a tragic ending to your love story.
Packed with way too much fish you would ever finish on your own, you went back. Cooking was a little complicated, because Blue was intrigued by the process, but was more intrigued with touching your body during, and you were so distracted you nearly burnt the meal. And forgot to cook the vegetables properly.
Blue looked suspicious once a plate was put in front of him.
You laughed. “Okay sorry, but I don’t know how to eat fish other than cooked, and I don't want us to get sick. It’s good though, I promise. And I kept your veggies uncooked, like you wanted, right?”
You didn’t know how a raw diet worked, but fish was something you did not want to serve raw. You just hoped he wasn’t insulted by it.
He took a bite carefully, pulled a face, seemed to hesitate, then took another bite pondering. It was fascinating to see all the expressions so clear on his face. He showed everything he was thinking, and it felt like a better communication system than all the people that said one thing, schooling their face, but meant another. Blue had clearly never learned any tact, but at least he seemed honest.
Afterway carefully chewing, he seemed to decide that it was acceptable. You dug in yourself, it was very nice, your favorite dish. You were happy he hadn't found it disgusting. For some reason, the thought made you realize you would've been a little hurt if he had. Like he would have rejected a part of you, which was a ridiculous thought and you tried to shrug it off.
Desert was much more simple.
He had decided it was you. Again. You really enjoyed chocolate mousse, but the way he put his tongue on you had you decide that chocolate mousse was overrated. This was truly the best way to finish dinner.
🐟
You woke up. Warm, comfortable, an arm slung around your waist. Blue was still sleeping. Maybe you tired him out for once. The thought made you smile to yourself.
You carefully moved away from him to stretch, and made your way to the bathroom. Relieving your bladder and washing yourself, you wonder if this was going to be your life now. He seemed to have no intention to go, and you had no intention to make him leave.
It was strange, because you had just met. You knew nothing about him. But you still felt so comfortable around him.
You made sure to check in with your friends who were stunned with the fact your one night stand turned into some prolonged romance, but were happy. You didn’t really believe in love at first sight, but how else could you explain the jittery feelings that coursed through you as you thought of him? You didn’t want him to leave!
Things had to be settled today, you decided. One way or another you had to get some information out of him, or see what he wanted to do with the situation. What did he want? Would he like to keep seeing you? Go on an actual date? Was this already considered dating? You were a little worried he would suddenly disappear. And it frightened you how much you knew you would care about that.
“Alright , we need to talk.” You told him at breakfast, as he sucked on his raw eggs, something that still seemed disgusting to you, but you wisely didn’t comment.
“Well, I'll talk and you'll listen,” you realized. “This has been a lot of fun. Great, really, but I should know more about you, right? Who you are, or where you come from?”
You scratched your neck. it had been itching a little since yesterday, and while it was noticeable at first it started to get worse today. Maybe you had a little sunburn from yesterday, you did spend a long time on the beach.
Blue’s eyes zeroed in on your neck, it was like he could see what was there. But no one really did unless they were very close. He seemed to get a little dazed before your voice broke him out of it.
“Unless this is coming to an end.” You hated how your voice became a whisper. You didn’t sound confident at all, and maybe a little pathetic. Damn those stupid feelings.
He looked up at you confused. Like he didn’t know what you meant.
“I would like to keep seeing you, but I don’t know if that is what you want?” You told him, gathered up the strength to get some surety. It was either finding him missing at some point, or asking clarity for your own piece of mind. Maybe he had been waiting to see what you wanted anyway.
He got up, and long streaks of his legs marched him over to you, he grabbed your face with one hand. Gently holding it, he grabbed your hand with his other and put it on his heart.
“I think that’s a 'yes', I want to keep seeing you’?” you whispered, feeling yourself melt. Knowing he knew because he had to hold you up.
He frowned and nodded. Then he put his hand on your heart. Or maybe your boob, you weren’t sure. But it felt terribly romantic.
“Okay, that’s a step. Maybe we can go to your place, you must be tired of wearing the same thing.” You glanced down at his body “Well, when you do wear clothes.”
He pointed outside.
“You want to go now?”
He nodded but bit his mouth, like he was pensive about something.
“I don't have to go in, if that’s not what you want.”
He pointed at you.
“Me? You’re afraid I don't want to go inside?” As you saw him nod, you wondered how bad the neighborhood he lived in was. “I don’t care, If it’s that terrible you wouldn’t bring me there right?”
He nodded seriously.
To lighten the mood you joked. “And I'm sure you can protect me against any danger.”
He seemed to make himself bigger somehow, without making himself seem ridiculous. God, he was perfect. You wondered if one last time before you went would be a good idea. The sheets were beginning to be in need of a good wash, but once more wouldn’t matter by now, would it? And -
Your thoughts were cut off with a kiss and a devilish grin, like he had known where your mind had gone.
“Sorry, am I really obvious?” You said through heated cheeks.
He nodded, shrugged, and seemed to spread his arms out like he said ‘Who could blame you’.
You put your hands over your face. “You’re awful, no shame at all.”
There was a noise that, when you glanced back at him, might've been a laugh. so it made you laugh and then you were kissing again.
But he broke it off before it got too heated. Pity. He pointed outside again.
“Alright, let me make myself ready okay, And wear clothes! Not everyone will appreciate seeing your tooshie exposed.”
You did though. You enjoyed it very much, it was round and not too big or small. You stared at it as many times as you dared, and he didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact his own eyes never left your body either. He was just enraptured with you as you were with him.
Realizing you had been staring at the carpet for several minutes now without making progress at getting ready, you hurried. He waited at the door for you with the same cut off shorts and shirt he had been wearing all this time, no shoes. Oh god you had taken him shopping and no one had even mentioned he wasn’t wearing shoes. You had broken the one rule that stores would give.
You figured maybe no one noticed, because they were too busy staring at his handsome face. The only explanation you could think of.
You offered the car, but he pointed in another direction, and so you figured he must’ve lived nearby.
But as you neared the beach again, you became confused. Maybe he was a tourist? They sometimes booked one of those beach houses. But he led you on the beach itself, towards the water.
“What? Blue…you were supposed to take me to your home.”
He pointed to the water.
“What do you mean? You live overseas?”
He pointed at the water again, frowning. He made a movement with his hands and you didn’t get it, so he did it a few times, looking frustrated.
“Swimming?”
He stopped in relief, pointed at the water, to himself, to the water, ‘swimming’.
“You swam?” you said, stunned.
He nodded. Pointed towards you, and then him.
You didn't get it, again. “I don’t understand, sorry.”
He grabbed your hands, held them, and stared into your eyes lovingly.
“I get it, it’s hard to explain this way, really hard with no way of communicating.” you said sadly.
He looked at the water again, then pulled you.
And you froze and dug your heels in, staring at him in shock.
He looked at the water again, towards you, your entwined hands, and again towards the water, he made a noise. He sounded… urgent.Your neck began to itch worse again.
“Are you staying at one of the houses?” you said, a little desperately, even if you began to understand that probably wasn't the case.
He shook his head. He now looked at you a little sadly. Humming, his thumbs stroked your wrists where he was holding you. Like he was comforting you. The way he was staring at you, it was like he was expecting something. Waiting for something.
Your neck started to burn awfully. You tried to loosen your hands to rub the spot, but he wouldn’t let go.
“Blue, what - let go, my neck it’s -”
He let go of one of your hands, but was quick to lay it on your neck, right on the spot, it felt, it felt strange, it was burning up, but somehow his touch felt better.
Your body felt weird. And you noticed he was trying to pull you near the water.
“No, I can't,” you told him, feeling no control over your body as he dragged you further in. Your eyes drawn to the water, fear rushing through you, your mom’s face, the cold dark water surrounding you, your heart beating, no air, there was no air.
And then he appeared in your vision, his blue eyes, so like the boy in your memories, catching yours, calm, his hands holding you, a soft embrace. You felt your feet walking with him towards the water, wanting to protest, but your mouth was silent, and your eyes couldn’t look away from him.
Dark hair, blue eyes.
His body holding yours as he dragged you through the water, cold skin, slippery tail, A wide grin, so playful, words and promises made.
Blue eyes looking back at you tenderly, lovingly, holding you against him. You could see only him. Even as the water soaked through your sandals. Even as water splashed at your calves.
’You're not like us’...’I can keep you’... ‘find you’
Your body followed him in, he was smiling brightly, his eyes sparkling, but he didn’t let you go. He was guiding you, so gently. It was like your fear was there but numbed, in the background. Like the most important thing was to be close and not let go. You didn’t.
Water was around your waist, the waves moving your body back and forth, swaying in the current of the water, but he did not let you go, he did not pull away. He kissed you.
His soft lips felt like an explosion on yours. It felt like you were fading until all that was left was him. The way he felt. And the way he made you feel.
You made a noise. You felt weird.
Water splashing on you as he whipped his tail at you, laughter sounding through the air as you splashed back. His face disappearing underwater to speak to you.
Water reached his chest and you were already not feeling the bottom under your feet anymore. You let him pull you. He seemed happy. He kissed you and his tail sweeped against your legs and - …Tail? you looked down and saw the colorful glimmer of his tail, not legs, underwater. Before it would settle in, you felt a burst inside, a sharp painful burst, and you fell down. The power of it made him let go and you went under.
But his arms were around you immediately. You worried you would see darkness, but you could still see the light above you, the sun shining through the water. You could see him very clearly, his face so close to you as he helped you get steady against the movement of water. You expected to choke, but it felt like your lungs were just fine.
“What-” you said, and realized sound came out of your throat, water came in your mouth but disappeared and yet it did not feel like you ran out of air.
He smiled so happily, his eyes shining to you in delight.
“It’s okay. I got you.”
You looked around, water was surrounding you everywhere, there was seaweed twirling around you, the occasional crab you could see floating around. It looked like you could see a lot further than you expected down underwater.
You glanced down his body, noticing the tail, and momentarily were distracted by the beauty of it, before another movement distracted you. As you saw your own tail.
A shock went through you and you wanted to flinch away, but he wouldn’t let you. Your hands touched yourself. Slimy softness greeted you where your legs were supposed to be.
This wasn't real, was it?
"Bucky."
You looked up, confused.
“Bucky. My name. I couldn’t give it to you until now.” he grinned.
“Bucky?” you tested it out.
He seemed pleased with hearing it, and nodded. “Yes, I can't speak up there. I couldn’t tell you anything, only if you were in the water.”
You felt like you should panic, and there was confusion, and there was fear, but it all felt so….farther away. “What happened? I don't get it.”
“You had to turn.” He shrugged. “You didn’t want to go into the water the other day, but I knew you couldn’t stay here long. After we mated, I knew it would only take a few days before you turned. And I couldn't let you turn on land.”
That’s why he dragged you while you were so afraid, why he didn’t listen.
“But how can that happen, I'm not..this!”
“I marked you,” he explained in a tone like you should’ve known. ” When I saved you. You let me, remember?”
Blue eyes, dark hair….Bucky.
“You didn’t really think it was a dream, did you? Why else do you think we were drawn to each other? You’re mine.” For a moment his expression darkened. “Why didn’t you come to me? You said you would? I waited every day, and you didn’t come until a few years ago,and you never went into the water.”
Like you had disappointed him, failed him. Broke your promise. Which you did. It was a promise that shouldn’t have to be kept, you were children after all, but it became clear he had kept it. He had expected you to keep it. And it occured to you that rules, human rules, might not apply here.
“My parents were very afraid after what happened. They didn’t go anywhere near the sea for ages. Only after…when I moved out, I started coming here. Like I couldn't stay away.”
He seemed a little more pleased. “You were looking for me.”
“I-” ‘no’ you wanted to say. But weren't you always looking. Looking for something. Someone. Didn’t you feel you were missing something. “I couldn't get into the water.”
You tried to explain. You didn’t know why you felt the need to make him not angry or hurt by you. It hadn’t been your fault, but the way he acted was like you hurt him a great deal.
“So I came to you.” He moved closer and held your hand.
“Can I go back?”
“No.” He seemed happy with the idea. “ We don't go on land unless we have to. To kill, or to mate. And it takes years of practice. You have to be strong enough, and learn how. It took me all this time. But I knew I had to. I knew you were here.”
“You should have asked.” you said. Thinking of your friends, your family. If you couldn't go back, how worried they would be. How they would suffer.
“Why? You promised yourself to me. I saved you, I didn’t need to ask, I could have let you drown, or killed you. I didn’t. I own your life. And you said we were friends.” he shrugged.
Warmth pinched your eyes, but as soon as the tear appeared it had vanished in the cold silty water.
“Friends don’t hurt each other.”
“But I didn't." He sounded confused. “I would never hurt you. You belong with me. And now we don’t ever have to part. We live very long. You don’t have to worry about dying. And you don’t have to worry about the water anymore either. You are strong enough to go where you please. I could show you so many things. You don't need to deny yourself any longer. Let go, embrace me.”
He echoed the words you said to him, when you told him about your shared history. How you yearned to embrace your longing. How you wanted to be near the water. Had it simply been the sea that called out to you?
A fish curiously swam nearby, and you suddenly were reminded with the empty freezer, the frozen seafood he devoured…how you only seemed to like fish the most growing up. The bite he had given you. Your urge for the sea, even if you never dared to near it or touch it.
How Bucky had waited for you to show up and play with him, and how you had, unwillingly, broken that promise.
How he talked about owning your life because he had saved it, and how you could have a tail if only you did what he said.
Your tail was pretty, even if you thought his was better, but it wasn’t your legs and it felt strange seeing it swing back and forth, feeling like you could push upwards if you tried, wondering if you could keep up with him if you swam. Wondered how cold and dark the sea would get the further you would drift.
You looked backwards where you thought the beach would be, but, being underwater, all there was was water.
His finger turned your face towards him again. “I love you.”
You blinked, he put your hand on his heart, and the familiarity hit you like a warm glow, he had been telling you all along.
And he laid his hand on your heart, staring into your eyes intensely.
You felt the words leave your mouth without thinking about it. “And I love you.”
And you knew you did. Despite everything. You had been looking for him. You had been looking for love.

it was a normal day of winter, when suddenly the temperature of your body got higher. You didnt know why that happened but at first you didnt mind, a few hours later you felt so tired and decide to rest a little. It didnt help much cause you got a sore throat and even a cold, you felt so vulnerable at that time as u couldnt even stand up. Your throat was aching so bad, your bed was covered with a lot of handkerchiefs, you just couldnt take it.
“babe, can you- *sneezed* can you come over.. im feeling a little..” you couldnt even finish that phrase that ur phone fall down by your hand and you faint.
“Love?? Youre okay??” Miguel asked as the call was still up, when he didnt received an answer but just heard the phone fell down, he quickly stopped on what he was doing and he turned into spider man to do it as fast as possible, he came out of the building and started throwing cobwebs for the skyscrapers, in all it took only 2 minutes to get home.
His heart was pounding, not knowing what had happened to you, he thought of the worst. He immediately opened the door and ran to your room, until he saw you that you had fainted.
“Please wake up” he said as he gently put a wet cloth on your forehead and raised your legs so that the blood would spin. His look was a lot worried, you were very important to him, he didn't want to lose someone like you, he spent good times together with you, he felt comfortable by your side, you were the only person who could understand him, the only one who was there in the moment of need, now he wouldn't let you down.
Your eyes opened slowly, murmuring incomprehensible words, when Miguel had noticed it he hugged you softly, feeling how vulnerable you were at the time. He just wanted you to be okay, he didn't want anything else at that moment.
“Im here for you treasure, just tell me what you need, do you want some water?” He asked you holding your hand, sitting on the edge of the bed.
You nodded because you didn't even have the strength to talk, he immediately went to the kitchen to bring you a glass, he even brought you a medicinal in such a way as to get rid of your sore throat and a little fever.
“Miguel, what would i do without you” you said as he mixed the medicines into the water, putting a hand in his face, he had put his hand on top of yours.
“I can't lose you, love, youre too important to me” his voice sounded so sweet and sincere, you loved when Miguel opened up to you emotionally, without him you probably would never have been able to get up, he was always there for you, he was always available and ready to help you.
A few hours later you felt better thanks to the medicines, Miguel had stayed all that time in your room and bringing you food or drink, he had sat in the bed next to you while you were watching tv, you had laughed and joked.
“Do you feel better darling?” He asked you by looking directly into your eyes.
“Yeah, i think tomorrow all this will be gone, just because of you” you smiled softly at him.
You kept watching TV together until you fell asleep in his chest, he stroked your hair and gently kissed your forehead.
“I'll love you forever” he whispered as he watched you sleep and arranged the blanket better on you.
You weren't completely asleep yet, at that comment you smiled slightly and squeezed him slightly more.

Hopelessly Devoted {Satoru Gojo x Reader}
It was no secret that Satoru was an attractive man, but while his ego appreciated the attention, it felt hollow to his heart. There was one exception, you. You couldn’t see it behind the blindfold he always wore, but his gaze softened at the sight of you. As much as he’d love to watch you sitting at the table of the cafe you two were set to meet at for a little longer, he didn’t want to keep you waiting.
“How is my darling angel doing today?” Satoru purred from behind you, not able to resist spooking you. You jumped at his sudden appearance. You turned and smiled at him. He opened his arms and you were more than happy to take the opportunity to jump into his arms. Satoru dramatically spun you around, careful not to let you hit anything.
“Hey, baby.” You greeted, giggling as he put you back on your feet. Satoru gave you a quick kiss. He licked his lips at the remnants of sugar on your lips.
“I see you started without me.” He teased you. You smiled guiltily.
“I was making sure they were actually good.” You joked. “I wouldn’t want to subject you to bad pastries.”
“How thoughtful.” Satoru chuckled. He wrapped his arm around your waist and led you inside the cafe. Satoru rambled about his latest mission that he’d just gotten back from after he’d ordered what he wanted. You patiently listened to him as he went on. Satoru stopped suddenly.
“You okay, babe?” You asked. “‘Toru?”
“You know I love you, right?” He asked. You nodded.
“I love you too.” You said. You furrowed your brow in concern. It wasn’t unusual for him to randomly declare his love for you, but not in such a serious tone.
“‘Toru, is everything-?” He cut you off.
“You see me as a person. Not the strongest. Not the Gojo family prodigy. Just me.”
“Of course I do.” I said. “Baby, what brought this on?”
Satoru sighed.
“I had a shitty meeting with some higher ups. They were pressuring me to get married and have an heir.” He groaned then sighed again. “And I realized that I didn’t hate the idea if it was with you.”
Your face went red.
“Are you asking me to marry you?” You asked jokingly. You were stunned when Satoru got out of his chair and down on his knees. He pulled a small box out of his pocket.
“Yes.” Satoru said seriously. “That conversation made me realize that there is no one else I’m ever going to love as much as you and if I can’t have you, then I don’t want anyone. I’m yours, heart and soul. I immediately ran off to a ring shop after my meeting.”
“Are you telling me you impulse bought an engagement ring?” You teased him. Satoru chuckled nervously.
“I didn’t think about it like that…” He said. You laughed.
“That is so on brand for you.” You said, smiling. You reached down and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him up to kiss him. Satoru eagerly kissed you back.
“Is that a yes?” He asked breathlessly after you finally released him. You grinned.
“Absolutely, it’s a yes.” You confirmed. Satoru slipped the ring on your finger. You raised an eyebrow.
“I never told you my ring size.” You commented. He blushed lightly.
“Not as impulsive as I made it sound. I took a guess. I’ve held your hand enough to get a good idea.” Satoru admitted. You giggled.
“We should get some extra pastries to celebrate our engagement.” He suggested. You rolled your eyes playfully.
“Of course, honey.” You giggled.

Anything for Gavriel please 🙏🏻there was a time when people wrote for BestFriendsDad!Gavriel but they don’t anymore and I’m stuck there😭😭😭
Slightly suggestive/sexual
Game of tag
You felt awful. Had been since the first day you saw Gavriel and the first thing you felt was dampness between your thighs as your eyes fell on the most gorgeous male you had ever seen. Your friend Lily had always talked highly about her father. He raised her alone. He was her best friend. “There are no males like him these days, lucky was my mother to find him”, she had told you one night as you two lay in her room. As lucky as that woman was to have bedded him and birthed his child she didn’t appreciate what she had if she had simply packed up and left him.
The thought alone had kept you tossing and turning long after Lily had fallen asleep. No matter what you did your thoughts dragged you down to him. The man that you knew slept a couple of doors down the hallway. You cursed yourself as your thoughts drifted to Gavriel. Your body grew flushed and warm as all sorts of thoughts swirled through your mind. You couldn’t do this. You needed to cool off and get some fresh air. Anything to push the thought of him out of your system.
As quietly as you could, you made your way down the stairs. A glimpse of light from the living room catching your eye. You knew you shouldn’t intrude. It’s not your house. It could be anyone. But your feet carry you forward regardless. And here he stood. A glass of wine in his hand as he stared into the fireplace. Gavriel’s back was turned towards you. But even the sight of that bared to you was enough to make you feel weak in the knees. The toned muscles. The forever marked skin.
“It’s not polite to stare like that”, his voice made you screech as you backed away, hitting the side table. Sending the lamp on it to sway. “I… I was not… I just”, you stuttered, “I… the night is too warm I wanted to take a walk”. Gavriel turned slightly, glancing towards you, “Alone at such hours?”
“I can take care of myself”, you urged back, lifting your chin a little higher. “That’s what Lily says as well”, he chuckled slightly. “I’m not your daughter”, you threw the line at him, hating the comparison because it drew a line between you two. The room felt quiet for a moment. Gavriel slowly put his glass down, “What do you want to be?”
His words threw you for a loop as you watched him slowly step closer to you. “I…”, you swallowed thickly, backing away. It wasn’t out of fear. You knew he wouldn’t hurt you. You just knew if he got close years upon years of experience on his behalf would be able to see right through you. “Do you think I don’t sense it”, he shook his head, “Silly girl, what thoughts are brewing in that head of yours”, his fingers tap at your temple before he traces his finger down your cheek, lifting your chin.
“No thoughts”, you breathed out, “None”. It was pathetic to lie. Gavriel knew that even better, “So, if I was to slip my hand beneath your thighs…”, his voice trailed off. But it was enough to make you gasp as your hands flew to stop his palm. “You’re too young, my dear, man like me aren’t meant for girls like you”, he leaned in before pushing back away. “You don’t know that”, you argued back, “You don’t get to choose what’s good or bad for me”. But his back was already turned to you as he walked back to his armchair.
“Go back upstairs and try to sleep”, he said calmly, reaching for his drink once more. “You don’t get to do this”, you whined walking after him, stopping only till you were right in front of him. “I know you want me too, I have eyes. I see you watching me”, you pushed on but his face was unreadable. “You come to me. We take walks, we talk. Don’t tell me now that you find my company childlike”, you pushed on.
But Gavriel only lifted his drink to his lips, gazing at the fire once more. You let out a frustrated sigh. Reaching for the straps of your nightgown, slipping them down your shoulders, letting the material pool at your ankles. Gavriel’s hand tightened around the glass as his eyes finally drifted back to you. “What do you want me to do?”, you asked, feeling your heart hammering at your chest.
“Put the clothes back on”, he breathed out, nostrils flaring. “You don’t want that”, shaking your head you stepped out of the material beneath you. “Girl… don’t play with fire”, it was a growl now in his tone. “Play…”, you mused, “Thought you liked to play”. You reached out brushing your fingers through his hair. “How about a little game of tag. I run. You chase”, you knew this was dangerous but the thrill of it took over clouding your better judgement. “Don’t you dare run”, Gavriel pointed a finger at you. You only smiled at him sweetly before turning towards the patio door. Take two steps at a time down before wet night grass like at your feet. You heard a roar from inside the house. You had no chance of outrunning him but you had never planned to do that in the first place.

The Great Escape Artist
Summary♡ Your very brilliant plan goes wrong after being captured by the Marines.
Pairing♡ Buggy x Reader
Warning♡ Brief descriptions of torture and blood, but nothing super graphic. Lightly suggestive NSFW
A/N♡ Ever since I saw the posts about LA!Buggy with a Harley Quinn inspired reader I haven't been able to get out of my head. This fanfic is fully based off this scene from suicide squad, "Harley's Great Escape scene". This is written with LA! Buggy in mind, but you can still read it as Anime Buggy too.
w/c♡ 3.8k
This was the first time in your life that your mind had been quiet enough to let you think for an extended period of time. Which felt depressing, so, you pushed that to the back of your mind. There were more important things at the forefront of it. Like, for example, despite having been tortured for about an hour or so, this wasn't the worst day of your life. You knew what day that was.
That horrible day had caused you to be saddled with a 25-million berry bounty. A bounty that made shitty days a common occurrence thanks to the Marines. Not a day went by where you didn't spot your bounty poster with that number, courtesy of those pesky fuckers. It felt undeserved in your opinion. The only thing you had done that day was set yourself free. It's not your fault there was collateral damage along the way.
You did, however, feel quite satisfied when you learned it was higher than Arlong's. Irregardless of that satisfying discovery, that bounty still brought nothing but trouble your way. This time trouble led to you strung up by your wrists in chains, swaying from side-to-side.
"Who sent you?" The cadet had been asking the same question over and over. You were getting sick of it.
You didn't respond, you hadn't responded since he began asking. You began to hum to yourself as a distraction. The cadet grew impatient at the sound of your humming and placed his hands over your abdomen to send waves of electricity into your body.
You grit your teeth to hold back a scream, waiting for him to finally grow tired. Who knew this branch had a cadet with devil fruit powers specifically for torture? You did now. You learned his powers were using electric shocks.
The cadet finally let up and turned away from you to seemingly take a breather. He began to fiddle with a mini transponder snail, most likely to inform the pseudo Captain of the base that no progress was made. That man was surely was going to be displeased at that. You tried not to laugh at the thought of that man throwing a temper tantrum. Typical Marine behavior.
You've never met a single Marine that was actually a good person. Not even the actual Captain was a good person despite public opinion saying otherwise. Everyone in this little town said he was the best Captain they've ever had. Hardworking, responsible, and a loving husband.
Too bad that last trait was a lie.
That was something you found out the hard way. There were rumors going around that this specific branch had maps to the grandline. Which is what your beloved Captain was desperately searching for. You couldn't blame him for your plan going sideways. He didn't even know you were here.
Your Captain had his own stupid plan, which you said was brilliant (a lie), and you came up with your own. It was full proof. You'd done stuff like this a million times before.
You had put on your best dress, your favorite; a gorgeous red dress gifted to you by your Captain. You put makeup on to cover up your most recognizable features. Then, found the Marine Captain's favorite bar. From there, it was simple, you seduced him, and allowed him to take you back to the base to get the information you needed. It was going great, but then it all went to hell when he recognized you.
He had placed a hand on your cheek and accidently wiped some of the makeup off, revealing what was underneath.
Thankfully, you found out everything you needed before you put the bullet through his skull.
Everything was still going okay, until his damn wife showed up just after you killed him. She screamed at the top of her lungs at the sight of him. That was the moment you found out the pig was actually married. You compared the teary face to the one in a picture on his desk. Sweet picture, they were gazing into each others eyes, holding hands. He was wearing a fancy tux and she, in a beautiful white dress.
Their wedding day.
You were almost jealous till you remembered he was intent on cheating had you not stopped him. They were probably living a nice, calm life. Maybe they were happy (despite attempted infidelity) and thinking about starting a little family.
You let your eyes linger on that loving photograph for too long, which is how you got caught in the first place.
You were thinking too much whilst staring at it. Until a whole squadron showed up with rifles drawn and pointed at you. They, obviously, recognized your poster thanks to the makeup being smeared.
From there, the pseudo Captain took over and ordered to have captured to get information. That damn Captain was surprisingly cruel despite not bothering to get his own hands dirty.
He ordered to have you tortured till the end of the next day. If you died before then you'd just be sent back to your Captain, in pieces. If you had put in your own two cents, which you did just before he left, you said it was unoriginal, uninspired. Nothing flashy about that, as your dear Captain would say.
You'd received your first shock of many after saying that.
You twitched at the feeling of blood dripping from your nose, reminding you of your current situation. If that cadet succeeded in contacting that Captain you were screwed. Which meant it was time for your great escape.
With the cadet turned away and distracted, you took the opportunity to lift your head from its downturn position and glare into the back of his head. You gripped the chains and used them to slowly lift yourself up. When you were high enough that your legs reached his neck you swung yourself forward to wrap your thighs around his neck. You squeezed as tight as you could and lifted yourself higher to make sure he couldn't try stomping his feet on the ground.
He was digging his fingers into your thighs, clearly trying to use his powers, but it wouldn't work. They were useless now thanks to the sea prism jewelry you had on your ankle. It was the one gift you had kept from your old life. The one thing that bastard gave you that was actually useful.
The cadet was finally losing his strength and went completely limp. That's when you finally snapped his neck and let go. His body fell to the ground and you spotted a key on his hip. You smiled and slowly tiptoed your way up his body to grip the key with your toes.
You took a deep breath and prepared yourself to rely on your upper body strength again. You bent your body forward so your feet could reach the lock on your wrists. You groaned at the pain coming from your abdomen, the pain from the shocks didn't help. You'd like to think that your Captain would be proud if he could see you. That acrobatic training paid off.
You sighed in relief when your aching wrists were finally free and let go of the chains. You dropped down on your hands and knees, and took a few deep breaths. You assessed the damage on your body when you stood. Your thighs had red marks on them and your beloved dress was ripped up the side. Your abdomen was also horrendously sore.
You growled and eyed the pistol at the cadets hip. You smirked and pointed it at his head. Even if he was dead, snapping his neck wasn't good enough for you. You shot him in the face and reveled at the blood splatter it created.
"That's for my dress, fucker," you spat as you stepped over him.
Before opening the door leading out, you grabbed a pair of boots for your bare feet (they took your shoes, pervs) and cracked your neck to alleviate the ache there.
On the other side of the door, two Marines were at attention. They appeared suspicious because of the gunshot from the other side. Especially since their "Captain" gave no such orders to do so.
It was too bad they wouldn't be able to warn anyone, but then again, the two consecutive shots that rang out would be signal enough. You grabbed another pistol off them to prepare for the eventual onslaught of Marines that were surely on their way.
You kicked open the next door that hopefully led to an exit, only to find a circular room with multiple pathways leading who knows where. You didn't even have time to think about which one to take before they all started running in, like rats who spotted the cheese. They were coming from all sides, it kept you on your toes, literally. You were twirling around the room firing shot after shot on the tips of your toes.
Even if there was a risk of death, you had to admit, it was fun. It felt like you were dancing with the way your skirt spread out around you.
When the last two cadets finally fell, your fun was over and the pistols clicked. You dropped them to the ground, deeming them useless and ran down the path with the most dead marines. You kicked open another door and found what you assumed was the armory, based on the walls full of weapons.
Fancy iron gates separated you from the mass array of weapons they had, so, you had to get creative. You headbutted one charging at you and kicked a gate closed on two others trying to open from the other side. Geez, these guys were like a damn hydra. Take one out and two more take its place. They never stopped.
The next one tried stabbing you with a knife, a nice change of pace, but useless. You looked down forlornly at your dress and, with a heavy sigh, ripped off a long piece of it. You wrapped it around the wrist of the knife wielder and maneuvered yourself around him. You were back to back with him and with all your strength, you flipped him over you onto another Marine running in. Both of them grunted and fell to the floor.
Another came charging at you and you ran to the other side of the now open iron gate to slam into the Marines face. He groaned in pain with a fierce glare and thrust his arm through the opening to attempt to stab you, big mistake. You grabbed his wrist and crushed it on the gate causing him to scream and drop the knife. He had no time to recover because you began to repeatedly strike his face into the ornate design covering the sides of the gate.
Yes, it was bloody mess and unnecessary, but it was way more fun than using a pistol.
You cheered when he fell to the ground and turned back to your possible exit to see another blocking your way. You rolled your eyes, just how many soldiers did they have wandering around?
As you stalked towards him, he flinched with a knife in hand. You hummed with a chuckle, at least someone here finally had the decency to fear you. It wouldn't save him from your wrath anyway.
Despite the fear in his eyes he lunged at you. You grabbed his wrist and bent it back into his torso in retaliation. You ears perked up at the found of footsteps right behind you and you kicked your leg back, aiming high. The first fell forward and you grabbed the knife before he fell to the ground.
The second choked and held onto his throat. "Bullseye!" You cheered at the sight. You pinned him to the gate and slit his throat.
It looked like you were down to your last one here. He was holding a knife, a popular weapon here. You dropped your own and pulled the sash taut in your hands, that was all you needed. He lunged at you and you used his own momentum against him. You wrapped the fabric around his wrist and moved yourself behind him to pin his own hand to his throat and pulled.
He slit his own throat thanks to you.
You sighed and grabbed two rifles from the ground. "How careless," you mused. You walked out of the armory and pushed open what was hopefully the last fucking door before the exit. You were now in a long hallway with double doors at the end.
Too bad a whole squadron of Marines were blocking the way, the same ones who caught you. You smirked as you watched them all begin to charge you and the captain yelling orders.
"GET HER!" He yelled.
You opened fire on all of them. They didn't even have a chance as you cackled with glee, never once letting go of the trigger. They all fell to the ground with their blood decorating the drab, white walls. And then it was down to one person. The beloved "Captain" of this Marine base. He pressed himself against a wall, gripping a small pistol in his shaking hands.
You snickered and slowly walked towards him until you were close enough to kick the pistol out of his hand. He whimpered and raised his hands up, "w-what do y-you want?" He asked, cowering under your gaze.
You knelt down to his level and raised a hand to cup his cheek. He yelped at the feeling of your cold, bloodied hand, but didn't dare push it away. He froze at the sight your eerily calm smile and clenched his eyes shut as you leaned forward. He flinched at the feeling of your cold, rough lips on his cheek. You pulled away to whisper something into his ear before leaning back and finally leaving this damn hellscape.
"Captain Buggy sends his regards."
The moment you stepped outside you breathed in the fresh air and took in your surroundings. There was still daylight outside, most likely late in the afternoon now. The brightness of the sun made it easy to spot three familiar faces sneaking around the side of the base.
Peeking around, watching the grand entrance of the base, was Mohji. He narrowed his eyes at the inactivity. "Are you sure this is it?" He asked, skeptical. He had a weird feeling about it considering it was so quiet. Not a single Marine in sight.
Cabaji, who stood next to Mohji, hummed in agreement. "He has a point, Captain. There's no one here." He pointed to the unguarded entrance.
The esteemed Captain, Buggy, rolled his eyes and pointed to the sign displaying, '149th Marine base'. "Yes, positive. It's pretty hard to fucking miss." He chocked up the missing Marines to pure luck and pulled out two knives. He took a deep breath, "Okay, get ready in three, two..."
"What are you guys doing?"
Your familiar voice appearing behind Cabaji caused him to practically jump out of his skin.
"What the-?! What the hell are you doing out here?!" He exclaimed.
Buggy ignored his outburst and blinked owlishly at the sight of you. He ran over here with Cabaji and Mohji in tow after hearing word that the Marines had finally captured 'Buggy's Beloved Harlequin'. So, to see you here, alive, was quite a confusing sight.
He glanced back at the base and then at you, he shook off the lingering confusion. "We're here to save you!" He explained, gesturing to you.
You pouted and held back tears forming. "You were gonna... Save me?" You whimpered.
Buggy groaned and scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Yes, it was a really good plan too..." He trailed off, slightly disappointed it was ruined.
You frowned, "well I could go back inside and you could still do it," you suggested.
Buggy scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, not gonna happen, angel face." He grabbed your wrist to pull you close. He wrapped a hand around your waist and held you close to his chest.
You giggled and wrapped your arms around his neck. You sighed at the feeling of his warm hand on your cheek. You could tell his eyes were on your bloody nose. "You kill all the fuckers that did this to you?" He asked, voice low in a whisper. He looked back into your eyes and you could see the rage that filled them.
You smiled and pressed a sweet kiss to his lips. It always warmed your heart when he cared for you like that. While he had his cowardly moments, he never backed down from a fight when it came to you. His anger was momentarily forgotten about until you pulled away.
Your eyes were still glued to his lips when you answered his question. "'Course I did. Every drop spilled was courtesy of Buggy, the genius jester.-" you pecked his lips- "even left one alive to tell the tale." You kissed him again and placed your hands on his cheeks so he couldn't pull away.
Buggy still managed to pull away despite that and chuckled. "Stop trying to distract me, angel. The hell were doing in there anyway?" He asked, rubbing comforting circles on your hip. Good thing he hadn't noticed your ruined dress yet.
You pulled away from him and grabbed his hand. "Let's talk about this on the ship. Reinforcements from the next town over are probably on their way." You laughed, "and I don't think they'll be happy to see the mess here." You tried to lead him away, only to be pulled back into his arms.
Cabaji and Mohji tried cutting in after successfully ignoring your loving reunion.
"She has a point, Captain-" began Mohji.
"Yeah, we should really-" continued Cabaji.
"Shut up!" Snapped Buggy, glaring at the two who cowered. His attention was back on you with an enamored expression. Buggy grabbed you by the waist. "Does that mean you-?"
You nodded, "uh-huh." You tried pulling away again, but were stuck in his tight grip. You furrowed your brows, but that tense expression melted away when you felt his soft lips on yours again. That was one feeling you would never get tired of.
You sucked in a sharp breath when you felt his tongue against your lips. Even though you were dying to feel more of him, you had to break the kiss to focus. You were breathless, "remember we have to go." You grabbed his hand to lead him away.
Buggy groaned and followed behind, but not before dragging you back one last time against his chest to whisper a promise in your ear. "I swear the second we get on that ship... You're mine." He nipped the shell of your ear.
You squealed and pulled away. "Then, hurry up, Captain!"
He finally allowed himself to dragged along and laughed with you. Clearly, he was ecstatic to see your gorgeous face until he spotted something peculiar. His anger rose tenfold when he finally noticed.
"What the hell happened to your dress?!"
It took time and a lot of kisses to get him to calm down about the dress when you reached the ship. You were currently sitting on his bed, fingers stroking his hair as he knelt down in front of you. He was assessing the damage. Even though the ship's doctor already had, he still wanted to check every square inch.
You shivered when his warm hands lightly trailed over the skin of your bare legs. It was easy considering you were wearing one of his shirts. You smiled at the concerned expression he had. It was easy to get him to calm down by running your hands through his beautiful hair.
All bets were off, however, when he finally saw the red marks on your thighs from where the marine gripped you.
"Who did this?" He asked softly, his eyes glued on the finger shaped marks.
The smile didn't leave your face, it only grew when you heard his tone. You could tell that he was ready to storm the base again, if only to burn it down. You trailed your hand down from his hair to his cheek.
You stroked his cheekbone with your thumb. "You don't have to worry about it now," you whispered, putting your other hand on the marks with a demented smile. "He's dead. These are a... memento..." You were still quite proud of your method of killing and you were sure Buggy would be too when you told him.
"Are you serious?" He asked after your retelling. You nodded and giggled when he stood up to push you back into the bed. He pressed a kiss to your inner thigh and crawled on top of you. "Lucky bastard, getting to die between your thighs." He pressed kisses to your neck as he spoke.
You couldn't stop laughing and let out a delighted yelp when nipped the spot under your ear. "What? Don't tell me that's your dream now?" You pulled his head away from the spot in your neck to gaze into his eyes.
"I'm just saying I'd die a happy man if that were to happen."
You shook your head, laughter dying down when you felt his thumb trail over your cheek. The look in his eyes turned sour, he could see the makeup you used to coverup was smeared off. "Are you alright?" He asked.
He didn't need to say more for you to understand what he was referring to. There wasn't a day that passed where he didn't check in with you. You did the same for him when you noticed him looking in the mirror for longer than normal.
You grabbed the hand touching your face pressed your lips to it. "I'm fine." You held his hand there.
Buggy didn't want to press the issue and nodded. He leaned away from you to lay back against the pillows and open his arms for you. You smiled and crawled into his arms to rest your head against his chest. "I love you," you sighed.
"Love you too, angel."
It used to hurt to look into a mirror, but Buggy changed that. He knew what it felt like to have people turn away in shame after being caught staring. Now, as you stood in front of his vanity, staring, you didn't break the mirror. You used to do that a lot when you first came, but he never cared about constantly needing to replace it. He just cared about comforting your raging thoughts of insecurity.
With a soft candle illuminating your face in the mirror, you raised a tentative hand to your face. You lightly touched the clean-cut mark there. It started at the edge of your lips and ended at the your cheek. There was a matching one on the other side. It was scarred permanently there years ago. You let your hand fall. You looked back at the love of your life, snoring, and snickered to yourself.
No time to think of that, you had to get back to bed before he woke up. The candle was blown out, and so were any negative thoughts brewing in your head.

I have started Like A Dragon! I've actually already made it to chapter 5.
Why hadn't I made a post already, then?
Well, there's no sugar-coated way to put this so... let's just rip off the bandaid now.
I haven't really enjoyed myself playing this game this far. Yet. Maybe I will at some point. But for now I honestly just haven't had much to say in terms of what's happened in the plot besides the beginning. I don't hate the game, it's just that it hasn't been able to really hook me in yet.
I'll keep going since I've heard this game is one of the generally more loved ones in the franchise. And I know RGG loves its slow burn.
I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but I wanna be totally honest. I doubt y'all would want me to lie about how I feel about the game.
More about all that right at the end of the post. I will list my positives and negatives when it comes to this game (and talk about the battle system) down there.
I know this type of thing is common in RPGs, but I like it all the same. Neat little game mechanic. There's quite a few different ones here, but it's cool.
An interesting background for a main character. Yeah, being an orphan is more than common. But being raised by the employess in a soapland and the townsfolk around him? That's really out there - in a good way.
This was very sad. Ichi lost 15 years of his life to the joint and got nothing in return. The shock and disappointment on his face when he was released and there was just. No one waiting for him.
And after that, all that awaited him was just... betrayal. That's just brutal. I fully understand why Ichiban went into Total Denial Mode for a while; it must have been a totally incomprehensible and shocking situation.
-He got out of prison after 15 years and where he expected to find his family waiting for him, he found nobody. AND he suddenly had the freedom of choosing what to do, when to do it and where to go after 15 years. That can be scary.
-He witnessed how much the world and general society had changed in his absence and probably felt very confused.
-He saw his home totally wrecked and abandoned.
And now his mentor and beloved patriarch, the one who saved his life. The man he would have happily been ready to die for at any moment. That man had changed completely and acted like he didn't know Ichiban.
Yeah... the denial, frustration and desperation are totally valid.
Oh dear. Well, Kiryu wasn't there anymore, the Tojo upper brass kept changing and there was constant conflict within the clan itself. It was just a matter of time before Omi would take advantage of the situation.
I hope Majima and Daigo are okay. Or at least alive ;-;
*Faint sounds of Majima cackling in the distance*
Oops. Majima better hope Ichi doesn't find out who the driver was lmao. I feel bad for Ichiban, but I also love how this single random idea of Majima's still has these consequences that are brought up, even after all this time.
God bless Nanba. He's a sweetheart. That's all I can say about him. I also kinda like Adachi. I'm not attached to these side characters yet, but they're neat. I think they'll grow on me eventually, it's just that I tend to be slow when it comes to becoming attached to new characters.
Legends say that if you pull this bat out, Shinada will appear in front of you and ask for some money....
I did play through the whole soapland thing and then some. I don't have much to say 😭. We do have a woman fighting with us, finally after all this time! #Girlboss
I would honestly happily die for Nancy. No questions asked.
OKAY UHH POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES.
Positives:
-Ichiban
-Interesting premise
-The different jobs satisfy my hyper-optimizing, excel-sheet-making, micromanaging self
-Funny enemy titles like "Piss Wizard"
-Free full heal spots my beloveds❤️
-Voice acting (in the Japanese dub at least) is excellent
-Substories have been fun!
Negatives:
-EXP yield is... not optimal; grinding takes FOREVER unless you go fight higher-level people than yourself, but then the battles can take ages. Job exp grinding especially feels about as pleasant as pulling teeth.
Am I supposed to grind in this game?? I've started to wonder about that since it's such a slow process. I have absolutely no idea. Have I missed a thing that helps exp gain??
-Unless you get lucky with the ability to find treasure, money yield can be tight at times, too. Which is rough, considering the cost of gear with 4 team members (and probably backup members later).
-The premise is cool, but the stuff I've played through in terms of the plot after leaving Kamurocho hasn't been very interesting to me this far (early-to-mid chapter 5) :/
-Substories don't give you EXP 😭
How about the elephant in the room - the battle system?
Well. I'll come out with it straight away; I'm very, VERY picky when it comes to turn-based combat. Shin Megami Tensei and Persona have unfortunately spoiled me too much, so this game had some unfairly MASSIVE boots to fill. And it didn't quite fill them. My bar is way too high and I acknowledge that 100%.
I get that they didn't want to make the system completely "passive" by just having to select moves and it all going smoothly from here. But I dislike the timing-based quick time stuff in the middle of attacks and perfect guard. I can pull off the attack dmg boost thing most of the time, but perfect guard is just... it feels way more difficult to pull off than Tiger Drop in any previous game. It's very frustrating. I frankly feel stupid, having this difficult a time with it.
Grinding is further hindered by spread moves being kind of unreliable - if the enemies are spread out, you're only hitting a single foe. For now. Maybe there will be better moves later on.
Idk if it's just me, but characters' MP pools feel very limited compared to the cost of the moves combined with how little damage you do at times? Maybe it's just the fact that I'm in the earlier parts of the game, but I feel like I have to be replenishing MP constantly.
I like how all the different types of gear can have additional special effects. It's neat.
All in all the battle system feels... very laborius. I can work with it! Absolutely. I'm just not the biggest fan.
God, I wish I could just gush about this game and sing its praises, but that's not happening yet by a long shot. This far? Maybe a 6-6.5/10. I hope my opinion changes for the better as I progress; I really wanna love it as much as other fans seem to.
#IM SORRY I REALLY WANTED TO IMMEDIATELY FALL IN LOVE WITH THE GAME#yakuza thoughts#...should i switch that to 'like a dragon thoughts'??? hmm#nahh lol#yakuza spoilers#like a dragon spoilers

SYNOPSIS: One shot should be enough. That's all there is to it, right?
TW/s: Yandere behavior, emotional manipulation, guilt tripping, lowkey these two are terrifying to deal with, kazuha has no remorse in some of these, vaguely terrifying heizou, nsfw warnings also include drugging, blackmail, and arson.
NOTE FROM HR: Happy Valentine’s Day, 🩸 anon. It seems your boyfriends decided to do something very special for you. After all, they liked you, didn’t they? I hope you like sweets, because I know they prepared something special for you. Just… Try not to look into what they made too much.
Dealing with Kazuha and Heizou isn't all that bad. For you, the two of them had been nothing but kind and welcoming, although the first time you have decided to rent them in the app, the greeting was more or less a surprise.
You remembered what Heizou told you, since he would remind you so often. You were, in his words, 'a golden retriever'. Why did he call you that? You were answered with that you just looked like it, without any sort of explanation.
For Kazuha, though, he called you his 'maple'. An endearing nickname, considering you red through his profile that he was a poet and isn't fan of being too mean to whoever rents him.
The one thing that you knew from their terms was to not ask either of them about Wanderer or Kamisato Ayato and his clan. For Heizou, it's because he worked for the bigwig himself and didn't want word to spread about his comments, and for Kazuha, he had... 'History', as he puts it.
Going past the sudden surprise and the slight confusion between you and the two men, the three of you discussed some ground rules on what they should expect from you and vice versa.
For Kazuha, he wanted more than to treat you like a proper boyfriend, and he didn't have as much limitations other than prying into his past unless stated otherwise.
As for Heizou, he wanted to keep things light and casual, but he also wouldn't like it if you try to get into his connections with the higher up he's working for and for his job.
In your case, you knew it was to be expected. The rules clearly stated that renting a boyfriend in MixMatch is fair game for the boyfriend and the client, and the boyfriend can decide what rule the other party must follow.
It also works as a sort of 'out', just in case they felt as though they wouldn't be able to get along with the boyfriend they rented with a full refund.
With this in mind, you told the two that the same was to be expected: you don't want either of them to dig into your past, and you don't want them to force you to things you hate. After all, you had to scrounge up enough money to afford them as their prices are on the lower side than other guys.
And... Well, that's where you three are at right now. Granted, Kazuha enjoys going out, but he seems to adapt quite easily to your tastes. Heizou, though, enjoyed bantering with someone who can tolerate his little antics like the white haired musician.
Sometimes, you two would end up having a bit of friendly banter on who sucks at a specific game, while Kazuha will play as a 'referee' for the two of you.
One of those moments was now.
"Pfft, you suck at being a hunter, 'zou," you said, your fingers moving to have your little bony knight combat with Hornet. "I'm going to finish Greenpath if you don't come in here soon!"
"Oh, really?" you heard Heizou answer, laughing as he manages to join in the frey. "Well, you clearly aren't doing so good against miss Hornet, Finn."
You flinched as he began to attack you when Hornet wasn't nearby, making you slip and get hurt by the warrior as a result.
"Hey!"
Parrying both attacks, you hear Kazuha enter, the scent of coffee wafting in the air as he placed the mug beside Heizou. At your peripheral vision, he walked off from Heizou's side and went to your right, placing down a drink.
Ah, the scent of strawberry milkshake... You swore this man knows you like it extra sweet.
"It seems you two are at it again," said Kazuha, the albino watching as the two gamers clashed swords, dodging Hornet's attack when she got too close to hurting either of them.
"It's fun, Kazuha! Say, why don't you come in and join me and Finn?"
Kazuha laughed as you hear the cushions move before he sat down.
"No need. I'm more content in watching you two compete over who can beat the game than anything else."
"Aw, boo! You'll enjoy it, Kaz!"
It was you who protested this time, which made the latter hum. Although, you couldn't really look at him as you were busy trying to get Heizou down to his knees (metaphorically, of course).
"Seeing you two bond and play games is enough for me, maple."
... There it is again. The nickname he gives you is enough to make you sputter.
"I-- hmph, you're missing out," you grumbled, but the tone was playful. It was enough to have Heizou chuckle and land a particular hit when you were distracted.
"Whoops~ seems like you aren't looking, retriever," he quips, causing you to huff.
"Oh, shut up!"
For the three of you, the idea of renting a boyfriend to be able to do these things never crossed your minds. To those who are looking in, it just seem more like three friends, hanging out on a special day.
Three friends hanging out in one person's home on Valentine's, sharing laughs and banters as they played games.
Yes. That's how it should be.
After all, you wouldn't want to know what goes underneath that sense of naive fun, would you?
After having beaten Heizou through a 5 round lose streak (seriously, you sometimes wonder if the detective has a damn tracker on you), the three of you realized that you don't have food for the next few days.
In your case, well... You are the definition of a broke college student. Buying groceries outside is almost like some form of scam, considering the inflation on certain goods. But with the two of your boyfriends, budgeting was not an issue.
What was an issue, however, was what was essential to buy and what isn't.
"We may be able to live off with these for a while," you told the two men, your brows furrowed in thought at the list. "Still, I'm not sure if there's anything else we're missing. I don't even know if it adds to the additional fees aside from renting you guys..."
Kazuha shook his head, his hand moving to place it on your shoulder. A comforting gesture, considering you enjoyed touch and craved it from the two of them.
"We talked about this, ダーリン. We made sure that whatever expenses we spent on you wouldn't count to the cost you paid for us beforehand, remember?"
Your frown was still present. It was clear that you were struggling to remember, and it caused Heizou to pat your head with a chuckle.
"Look, if you're so worried that it could, why don't you see it as us treating you? It is Valentine's Day, so it'd be nice if you don't have to remind the two of us and your little head that we cost more than a month's rent."
Ah. Right.
"... Fine," you answered, sighing. "I guess I forgot that you two aren't actually my boyfriends. That, and spending for you two costs an arm, and I'd rather not pay for any additional expenses if I want to live for a year."
This caused them to chuckle.
"Oh, you don't have to."
After all, they have plans they want to spend with on Valentine's Day. Some that you weren't even aware of are already in motion.
Spending time with Heizou was easy, since Kazuha has a full day ahead to make this the most special for the three of you. After all, they've been deciding on how to spend it with the one they love most.
Now, sure, both have their... Differences, but the two loved Finn. To them, they were the best they've met so far, and the chemistry was already there. What more could either of them ask for?
Well, there was one thing they both wanted.
While the two are out buying groceries, Kazuha gets a phone call. Checking his phone, his eyes narrowed to see who was contacting him. Accepting it, he placed it on his shoulder as he got to work on setting up the house.
"Hello, █████."
"Hello, Kazuha," a familiar voice answers.
"I wasn't expecting for you to contact me so soon," the albino stated, but the warmth in his voice was gone. It was the same thing that the latter could hear as he began to prepare for their final 'surprise'. "Is there another one you're letting us check to see if they pass?"
"... No, it's not that. I'm actually contacting you to inform you of what the Boss wants."
Kazuha stops for a moment, and he took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
He never liked their boss. No one does.
After all, that boss had ties to the underworld and what goes on. It's why they were able to host 'MixMatch', a dating app. Although, if you asked him, he didn't trust that it was a simple 'dating app'.
What dating app would have it's ties to trafficking, anyway?
"... What did he say?"
"He wants the clients that failed to get any matches gone."
...
The glass cup he was holding shatters from his grip.
He needs to clean it up. He does. But that information gave him chills.
"... Is that it?"
"Yes. I'm not sure who would get the short end of the stick, but he's planning on getting our clients involved on that. It's... Terrifying to think about."
Of course it would, he thinks. No one would be sane enough to propose THAT idea, right?
"I see. It... Truly is."
...
"You don't... Plan on hurting them, do you, Kazuha?"
"Why would I?"
He grabbed a broom, watching as he saw the clock move it's hands to strike 4.
"Like I'll let him touch what's ours to begin with."
"We're home! God, going out is such a headache..."
What greeted Finn was a curious sight.
"Welcome home, darling," Kazuha said, placing down the last plate of food he made. "Heizou didn't give you a hard time, did he?"
"Me? Giving our darling Finn a hard time? You wound me, Kazuha!" Heizou stated, placing a hand on his forehead almost dramatically. "It's almost like you forgot that I wouldn't have done anything to them."
"Well, you almost got away with buying more rope when Kazuha said we're on a tight budget—"
"Hey, hey, hey!" He shushed them, seeing Kazuha squint his eyes at the detective. "It's not like I'll spend it outside of our budget! Well... If it's not that expensive."
Finn and Kazuha sighed.
"Please tell me it's for the Crux, Heizou," the musician grumbled, giving him a glare. "For if it's anything else past that, I'll kick your shins in."
Scared of the outcome, Heizou yelped.
"It's for the Crux! Man alive, Kazuha, are you really about to do that just because I want to help miss Beidou?"
“Yes.”
“How terrifying! … And bold.”
Taking a seat, Finn watched the two men bicker lightly as they retrieved their food. They knew that it was Valentine’s, so it was quite pleasant to have a celebration with the people they cared for— rented or not.
Thus, that evening was spent with the trio speaking amongst themselves. Future plans, outings, and even some small in-betweens. Although, Finn didn’t recall when they had lost track of time… Or when they had simply nodded off.
All they knew was that day… It was one of the best celebrations they had.
…
When the two knew they were asleep, Kazuha grabbed his phone, his warm eyes gone cold.
It was time that they faced the truth of their side job: the one thing they needed to do, as much as they hated it. Even if it's only to ‘play’ the part, they’re both used to having their true intentions shielded for their own benefit.
“You know what to do,” he told Heizou, watching him sigh and prepare himself.
“Of course… It’s for our lives, after all.”
The two spared a glance at the slumbering client they had, feeling a sense of pity. They hated hurting these people, but that’s what the boss wanted. Their old one would have objected, but those who worked in Celestia Inc. are aware of the consequences should they be stopped.
And now, they had to swallow the bitter pill that was murder. Such a shame; Heizou was starting to like them, and so was Kazuha.
Raising the gun, he placed the barrel and put his finger on the tri—
Ring, ring.
Ring, ring.
…
Heizou stopped for a moment and grabbed the phone, answering it with his left hand.
“Hello? Who is this?”
…
“Hello, Shikanoin Heizou. Mind if you drop that gun you’re holding and speak to me outside?”
Kazuha scrutinized the look of apprehension as Heizou paused, turning his head to the gun. It was already aimed at their ex-client, but he knew that voice demanded business. Afterwards, he huffed and pulled it away, noticing the albino’s brows furrow.
He was confused, but that’s okay. It was normal to be confused in a situation such as this.
“Hide them somewhere safe,” he mouthed to Kazuha. “I’ll deal with this.”
Watching the musician carry Finn in his arms and leave, he sighed and adjusted the phone on his hands, his eyes remaining sharp as ever. “Alright,” he answered, turning his heel to leave the house. “Would you mind answering as to who I’m speaking to?”
“Oh, you should recognize who I am,” said the caller. “Look up.”
Reaching the porch, he turned his head up, noticing the familiar monochrome and red clashing and mixing into a unified sense of color. And for a mere moment, the ‘detective’ that people loved felt the dread that his past ‘clients’ had, should they be cleaned up with.
“Greetings, Shikanoin Heizou,” the caller greeted, their smile twisting itself when they saw the stiffness from him. “No need to panic. I wouldn’t dare hurt what’s tied to a shady business unless stated otherwise. Now, what brings you here?”
“... I’m here for my client with Kazuha,” answered Heizou, but he sounded curt. “That’s all there is to it.”
“Is it now? And how about those… ‘sweets’ you have? Is there anything in it?”
“Nothing of the sort, miss officer,” he retorted with a shrug, but he stopped moving when he felt the barrel of the gun on his head.
Loaded. Of course.
“I’ll ask again. Is there anything in those ‘sweets’?”
…
One shot and I’d drop dead. Not a good predicament.
“... Yes. Sleeping drugs.”
“I see.”
The barrel didn’t move. It left him even more apprehensive of the outcome. After all, it was clear that whoever they are, they excel a lot more in using guns, and they also have the upper hand against him.
Such a bother.
“One last question: do you mind if you do this favor for me?”
He could feel something cold. Metallic… And clearly not used. There’s a latch on the front, and a sticker that was ripped on its back. He didn’t know what it was, but he could smell the scent of charcoal on it— it was strong enough for him to have a whiff.
“Would you mind burning that house behind you? I’m aware you two have made up your mind that you’d get rid of Finn, but it seems you two got cold feet.”
Heizou seems to have felt his heart stop beating.
How did they know?
“Such a shame. I believe the boss knew you two would be excellent ‘boyfriends’, so to speak,” he heard them continue, sighing. “And here you are, hesitating to murder yet another lovesick ‘client’ who’s grown fond of you two. I’m quite surprised you haven’t seen how twisted this is.”
The barrel digs in deeper to his head.
“Then again, we are all sick in the head, aren’t we?”
…
Heizou had no rebuttal. After all, they all came with ulterior motives.
“Well, Heizou? Will you do the honors?”
“... Fine,” he answered. A bit too late, one may add, but he knew that he was not in a good position. He was being forced, and behind those words, the obvious and looming threat was present.
If you don’t, I’ll inform your boss that you failed the job.
“I’ll burn the place. Kazuha is responsible for taking care of anything else, should there be any more requirements we have to follow after getting rid of the ‘evidence’ here.”
“Splendid. I was wondering if you were truly having cold feet. As expected from a detective such as yourself.”
Satisfied with the response, the caller lowered the gun they had and tucked it away. With a satisfied hum, they turned their heels and walked down the steps, going to the entrance and to their motorcycle parked on the side of the fence.
“Be sure to do the job. You know what happens if you don’t..”
Heizou couldn’t help but stand as he watched them ride on top of a motorcycle and drive off in the night, the feeling of the lighter resting in his hands. He felt that weight grew heavier, knowing fully well that he was forced to do such a crime. His hands were already stained in red, but he felt pity. He didn’t want to kill Finn, and even Kazuha can tell.
He can even see that the once quick detective stopped when the topic of arson came up for his beloved ‘client’.
Alas…
… The die was cast, and the cast must die.
Raising his phone, he contacted Kazuha, texting that he will set the house ablaze— and that he needed Kazuha to take Finn back to their home. Kazuha sent him a text to inform him that he took everything that Finn valued when they were gone, so he should be fine burning it all down.
It was only when he finished texting did he look at the house, lamenting that he felt so… Attached to it, like it was his second home.
Heizou hated that part of himself. That part that wanted to keep things as is, just like the good days.
Those days where Kazuha and the others weren’t as twisted. Those who didn’t have to stain their hands for bloody cash. Those who didn’t want to be reminded of what goes down below. And yet, here he was… Standing over the house like it was him denying the call of adventure.
With one deep breath, he turned the lighter on and tossed it inside. Heizou watched as the flame traveled around the flooring and through the walls, going to various rooms and setting things ablaze quicker than he could catch. It wasn’t long until the house was engulfed in the fire he willingly made, those pops and sizzles haunting his memory.
It was done, he thought.
And yet his chest still felt as heavy as he remembered ever since he ‘got in’.
