sometimes people on this site will just. say things in response to you that don't actually seem to be in dialogue with what you've said
#usually in a hostile way#but like. usually you can at least see how they *got* from A to ꙮ#even if it's like‚ oh‚ i get it‚ they're talking past me to the boogeyman i accidentally conjured up for them#whose very long shadow is unfortunately obscuring what i actually said#this latest instance wasn't hostile but it feels so disconnected from what i said that it's honestly significantly more disconcerting#like—i *thought* what i said was intelligible but maybe it just wasn't! maybe i'm speaking simlish and i don't even know it!#anyway. time 2 go 2 bed and not worry abt it but like. something very metalevel destabilizing abt attempting to fact-check an untruth#and having yr clarification apparently prove unclear#like it's just. shifting sands of misleading confusion all the way down#anyway. sand… sandman… sleepy time…
