Forced to go to a work conference. My boss' boss' boss told me that I was repping our company, not myself, and I was required to go to the expo, shake hands with our 3rd party vendors and thank them for a great job.

My position at this company is so low that it's laughable they sent me here.

So I do this and the vendors were like: "Uh. Okay? Thanks I guess?" Some eyerolled. Also, I was offered zero swag when I did this. Swag sitting right there. Right there on the table.

So, ya. Eyeroll a 'great job we love your services' from an almost trillion dollar company and a single person reaching out to you thru the ether. Cheers.

#de work #it's also the third day and there's one other person from my company here. I've never met him before and he hasn't contacted me yet #so I'm all alone just bored out of my mind and even the vendors couldn't even be friendly with me #such a racket. the only entertainment i have is this roaming pack of guys tried to push me off of a sidewalk and i barreled thru them #they made “ohhh” noises at me and i kept my mouth shut. if i was home i woulda clapped back. i think i saw them again today and they #got quiet. the super tall one loomed over me and the super short one turned around to watch me and i just walked past them and did not #acknowledge them. so if i see them tomorrow maybe they'll learn to speak #also all my favorite hockey teams are losing and it's making me upset #but lacrosse is going strong and I'll be home to watch the final champ game with my sweetie
