Pink hair and stalkers
@more-kpop-pls asked:
Your bakery one shot with Bart hit me right in the kokoro oml you're such an incredible writer I cant even đŸ˜„đŸ‘Œ May you please do a one shot with Bart where the reader wears like a different colored strong fake weave and contacts whenever she's in hero mode so identity is less likely to be known and one day she's on a partner mission with Bart. Suddenly her weave gets snatched and Bart's like "o I knew who you were all along đŸ…±" and they hit it off from there? Thank you!
Pairing: Bart Allen X Reader
Notes: I wanted to add in a conversation with the Reader and her best friend where her friend gives her the idea to have a weave so no one would know who she was... It just didn’t fit anywhere.
Also, I know little to nothing about Weaves so I kind of changed it to extensions (which I think like are the same thing but also feel like I’m wrong so... sorry)
You smiled at your reflection as you clipped in your pink extensions. These were your favorite because it meant you were going to work with the Young Justice which in turn meant meeting up with a certain speedster. Behind you, your best friend watched as she flipped through a magazine.
“Your stalker is going to be sad that you are meeting up with your boyfriend.”
“First off, he’s not my boyfriend, second I still don’t know who this stalker is you keep talking about.”
“He’s that kid in the back of math class, always staring at you.”
“Pretty sure he’s fake but ok.” you said before turning to go, “Just let yourself out.”
The mission had been a simple one just go in and help the big dogs save a few hostages. You were on lookout duty and Bart was intel while Miss Martian and Nightwing did the extraction.
Then things went wrong. It had been a trap, the hostages were in another base and the walls seemed to be crumbling around them.
You had three on you and weren’t doing good after taking two out before these three.
Suddenly two of the guys fell in a blur of yellow.
“Impulse?”
“The one and only!” your teammate said pausing long enough for you to see him. However, being distracted you didn’t notice the henchmen coming up behind you until it was too late. He had his arms wrapped around you trying to hold you still.
You were not having that.
You quickly twisted your left leg between his taking a step back then leaned forward making him fall forward over you. As you felt him fly over your back you felt his grip in your hair pulling hard you're beautiful pink hair coming with him.
“Shit!” you said quickly kicking him in the face knocking him out before prying your hair from his grip.
“I KNEW IT!” he cried pointing to you as you tried to fix your extensions, but there was no coming back, your real hair wasn’t going back in and it would take a while to fix the fake hair. Raising an eyebrow you glanced at him confused.
“What?”
He just grinned at you as if you had just told him Christmas had come early. “I just
 I mean I had a feeling but I wasn’t sure.”
“About what?”
“I’ll tell you later,” he said mysteriously. “I gotta run.” he was gone before you could follow up with any more questions.
Shrugging you go home before anyone else would recognize you. Not that you were sure why they would. You were just some normal teenage girl. Well besides the whole superhero thing.
You didn’t hear anything else from Impulse. But you had other things on your mind like getting ready for school on Monday and all the stuff that was due. Being a hero and a high school student is hard.
“Don’t look now but your stalker is here.” Your best friend whispered from her seat. You looked up to see a scruffy looking red haired boy walk up to you.
“Hey” he whispered taking the seat on the desk next to you, “I’m Bart, but we’ve met before.”
“We have?” he glances around his eyes flickering toward your best friend who is trying her best to look like she’s reading her math book. Good try girl, no one reads those books.
“I’m impulse.”
“Wait
do you go to school here?” the last part seemed to come out before you could stop it. Next, to you, your best friend snorted from behind the thick pages of the book she wasn’t reading.
“Yeah
I am normally in the back.” Suddenly it hit you, he was the kid she kept talking about. The guy who was always staring at you. She hadn’t been making him up, he was real and he was the guy you may or may not have been slowly growing a crush on.
“Oh
 I’m
.”
“Y/N, I know”

Dusty’s Diary by Bobby Adair: I played all the video games. I watched movies and read books. In most of those, the hero kills the zombies, drives an awesome car, has enough to eat, and always seems to get laid. I wrote this journal because the apocalypse sucks and doesn’t meet my expectations at all. Honestly, I was looking forward to it. It’s not like I don’t like people because I do. I was tired of all the crap I had to put up with. I was tired of dealing with traffic and my ex wife yelling at me. A zombie apocalypse looked like a good future for me. Here’s my story. What I Read (July 2017)
NOTE: THIS WAS WHAT I READ THROUGH OUT JULY AND SOME THOUGHTS. THIS LIST WAS COMPOSED ELSEWHERE AS I WENT ALONG AND IT TAKES TO LONG TO CHANGE THINGS. NEXT TIME I WILL ADD SERIES INFO (IF THERE IS ANY) AND AUTHOR(S) AND RATINGS THAT I HAVE MADE ON GOODREADS.
1. The Sheik and the Princess in Waiting - July 1, 2017: Irritating that her parents were never really told off for butting into her life and basically not letting her have one. Upset with those meddling, even if it was for a "good cause".
2. The Sheik and the Princess Bride - July 2, 2017: Why can't the king let his son decide who to marry? he let his other son's choose for the most part. And yes, he wanted to know how far they would go for each other, but to bring in a third party that doesn’t know anything is just messed up. But the fact Billie can fly jets makes it slightly different from other books.
3. The Sheik and the Virgin Secretary - July 2, 2017: Yeah right, it was about revenge. And what happened to her ex? I want to know if he ended up with someone else or if the tables were turned on him.
4. The Sheik and the Christmas Bride - July 3, 2017: Did the aunt really contact the tribal leader? Because if she did, that was wrong of her. Yeah, she wanted to introduce them, but there had to be another way. Invite her over for tea. Don't get innocent children involved.
5. The Sheik and the Pregnant Bride - July 3, 2017: No real thoughts on this one other than why hadn't she noticed she didn't have her period in about 2 months? I stress out even more when i know my cycle is off by a week and *tmi right here* I don't even have sex so I know I'm not pregnant. Yes, she was going through an emotional stressful time which I don't even want to think about but still. But I did like that she was a mechanic. Something a little different from usual stories such as these.
6. canyons of night - july 4,2017: you can tell who was it just by how they kept brining up the character and her quirky gifts to people through out it. but i do like how they had a kind of connection years before.
7. the hot zone - july 4, 2017: i was kinda happy this was about a snow character because if you don't know arizona snow, she was a side character in some jayne ann krentz books. but i do kind of find it kind of gimmicky that main female lead is sedona snow because (if you don't know) sedona is in arizona, making it a confirmation of who she is related to. why not do the same for her cousin, give her a name of place in arizona too? and what ever happened to her aunt? i want to know that most of all.
8. after glow - july 5, 2017: i was lost. if i knew or read the first before this it probably would have made more sense.
9. bridal jitters - july 5, 2017: it was what it was due to it being short. i sometimes feel that some of her other books are like this, just longer.
10. ravished - july 5,  2017: typical strong headed female lead who doesn't really listen to the male lead and then tries to blame him when things go down in a way she didn't want them too. half way through, you could tell who the possible other man could have been with fiance #1, but the ending though... i did not see that one coming and i feel as though i should have.
11. wait until midnight -july 8, 2017: did keep me guessing with one character but deep deep deep down i knew who the real one was. which is why when it was revealed i felt like yelling out "called it" but i was in public. i do like adam because he made a family with people not related to him by blood and would probably do whatever in order to protect them. i somewhat liked caroline and the scandal she was invloved in wasn't really her fault. in fact, she had no fault whatsoever due to why it happened. she was just an innocent bystandered and i really wanted the person responsible for the scandle caught and ruined in every way that mattered to them.
12. lord of the desert - july 9, 2017: i'm going through a diana palmer phase again. i swear i don't really like her plotlines because they don't really make sense but every once in a while i need to read something like them and just go "this is bad but i need to know how it ends".
13. ghost hunter - july 10, 2017: enjoyed it. i thought the villian was going to be one character because he seemed so prominent at certain points but i was pleasently surprised by the turn of events. someone else might have picked up on the true villian but i didn't.
14. irresistible - july 10, 2017: really liked it. i think nat and sophie are one of my favorite set of characters by balogh. although i must admit i did know what was in those letters being used against her. i just wish the antiganist had some more horrible stuff done to him. i really wanted that to happen. and i was wondering why this was a trilogoy and not a quartet and as soon as eden was connected to lav it made sense but i will admit that i would have liked a seperate novel with them.
15. slightly shady - july 11, 2017: i did enjoy it. but i will admit that before going to bed i did make a connection between two of the supporting characters. i was somewhat suprised as to who the killer really was but when i found out their little back story i will admit to being a little saddened of what they went through as a child. of course, the two leads do butt heads and Lavinia ends up coming ahead more often than not.
16. the men of medicine ranch - july 12:
17. his girl friday - july 12: i probably would have enjoyed it better if the e-book wasn't messed up. but the gist of it, i knew who the "traitor" was after one scene because it was so obviously made. but the story behind as to why cabes father married his stepmother made me a little bit sad. if you want spoilers just say so.
18. night of love - july 12: plot line is typical. two leads that were seperated by misunderstandings that were somewhat encouraged by one or both of their parents. of course, one is bent on revenge but because there is a thin line between love and hate, old  feelings reemerge. but misunderstandings still occur because one has to keep a secret in regards to another friend and the government.
19. to have and hold - july 12: i really didn't like how it ended.
20. King's ransom - july 13: some spots it felt like there was too much crammed into it and others where there wasn't enough.
21. search for love - july 13: this was one of those books/stories where i just ended up liking it for no real reason. although it sort of felt similar to another story she already wrote; that one was where the female lead was the daughter living in france and decided to visit her father in america.
22 diamond in the rough - july 14: similar to circle of gold, which makes sense because it is a sequel. it was pretty good.
23. will of steel - july 14: really didn't like how it ended because i wanted more justice for j because she was a victim.
24. don't look back - july 15:
25. fit for a king - july 16: i loved the drama in this one. for the most part, i do hate drama but this one was a great read.
26. Just kate/his only wife - july 17: the first book, i really didn't like it. there were somethings that i wanted, like her parents finding out the truth about her sister. the second book, i liked way more. it was slightly more complex and it showed how the two leads had a somewhat similar family background but only one of them was ready to stand for themselves and live the life they wanted to live.
27. only forever -july 17: didn't really like this one mostly due to the female lead. i understand the trust issues, but at the same time nick
28. boss man - july 17: i hate reading books out of order or when they're books in the series that take place at or around the same time because then i feel a little lost in the plot, like this time. luckily i did read another one in this series to know some stuff  but now i'm wondering about some others too.
29. the cowboy and the lady - july 17: i wasn't expecting the reasoning as to why he hated her mother. i thought that maybe in the past she (the mother) tried to seduce him but no, it was worse. and i really didn't like her mother.
30. cattleman's choice - july 17:
31. true blue/carrera's bride - july 19: i really did enjoy both stories. the first one feels like it takes place during another story events. the second one made me feel many emotions but mostly sadness.
32. heather's song - july 19: i don't like how he didn't really take in to consideration his parents marriage.
33. diamond spur - july 19: really did dislike it for the lack of communication and how the female lead really didn't listen or talk to the doctor.
34. miss greenhorn - july 19: found it funny how the two of them went through makeovers to improve their love lives.
35. late for the wedding - july 21: it took forever to read, mostly because i didn't like one of the newer characters in this one.
36. illusion town - july 21: even in the future there is a place like vegas. never been to the real vegas (yet - or may never go), but the way it was written reminded me of how vegas is often portrayed in shows and movies.
37. the girl who knew too much - july 21: okay, so i didn't know who was behind all the deaths until a few chapters away from the end and why there were so many murders. but i just felt like there were too many things going on and to focus at the same time. and  i don't think the wait was worth the read that much. there were parts of it that i did like but only because they were similar to her past characters.
38. cattleman's pride - july 21: it was nice that it was connected to other stories, but the male lead was really really stupid. everyone kept trying to tell him that he was being used but did he listen? no, he just wanted to lick his wounds.
39. heart of stone - july 22: this was pretty good. it led me to think that one parent was worse than the other only to be showed that the parent around her more was actually the better one despite their personality. but it just got to be too much at times.
40. the princess bride - july 22: at first, female lead comes across as a somewhat spoiled rich girl with her head in the clouds. so when male lead brings her crashing down to reality, she choses to run. male lead regrets it but when she returns she has a personality change that made me like her a little bit more but as soon as male lead gets her alone, she reverts back to how she was before and slightly worse.
41. the rancher - july 23: back story is that female lead was bullied by the girl the male lead is/was interested who wasn't interested in him because she felt she was above him and had bigger lead. female lead seemed to be somewhat upset obsessed with her chickens and eggs along with her ranch but she needed to be. but things just switched up suddenly amoung  them all.
42. beloved - july 23: male lead tries pushing away female lead away because he finds her attractive but she was married to his friend and he was burned in the past. female lead doesn't know that he has worked himself into hating her so when he finally lashes out, she starts to take charge of her life and he comes back in.
43. denim and lace - july 24: hidden feelings, lack of communication and hiding the truth. also female lead is rich but is very down to earth and has a hard time standing up for herself. not until she loses everything did she start to gain confidence after standing on her own. but the moment i really wanted her to stand up for herself, she didn't.
44. bound by a promise - july 24: this was pretty good. but because it was so short, it just felt jam packed in some areas and other areas felt a little sparse to me.
45. matt caldwell - july 24: why? why do i feel things? this was more of a contemporary gothic novel in someplaces, because it deals with a heavy topic that is considered somewhat contreversial and will most likely remain so for the longest time. some people will always blame the victim first and ask questions later. but the person who may have been the first to blame could have/should have been sued because he was a professional in his field. and male lead was typical grumpy guy who wanted female lead but she was running, so he brings in another female that is into him to make her jealous or less self confident.
46. sutton's way - july 24: i didn't enjoy it. for me it was more of a "i'm going to bored, so i'll read it' type of story.
47. ethan - july 24: it almost felt like a perfect story. but there's something that i just didn't enjoy about it.
48. protector - july 25: i did enjoy it but i didn't love it.
49. the rawhide man - july 26: i'm torn because there were parts that i did enjoy but there were a lot that i didn't like.
50. wild about harry/waiting for baby - july 26: story 1 - no nope not happening. i felt everyone was pressuring her to start a relationship. people have their own grieving period and it depends on how close they were to the person. story 2 - why give the ex the house at all? and it seemed like she didn't even communicate so they can co-parent their daughters. as for female lead, she had issuses, she was burned in the past, but that didn't give her a reason to take them out on him.
51. soldier of fortune - july 26: too short and therefore the plot moved to fast for my liking.
52. midnight rider - july 26:
53. silver master - july 27: it was pretty good. similar to a lot from this author though.
54. dark light - july 28: i knew the assistant was involved. i mean, every time sierra was in the office, he was out.
55. blind promises - july 28: i really enjoyed this one. can't really find anything wrong with it besides the female lead talking lowly about herself in regards to her looks and personality from time to time.
56. evan - july 29: i teared up a little, not going to lie.
57. iron cowboy - july 30: really did hate this because there was lack of communication between the leads and i feel that there was a rape scene in here.
58. the lost night - july 31: first book in a while that i enjoyed all the way around from this author.
59. tyler - july 31: it was good and i did enjoy it
60. texas born - july 31: i want to reread it again. i just dislike how there's one little loose tie.
61. maverick - july 31: i liked it because there wasn't much drama in this one and the male lead finally found someone when in past ones he was always the second love interest.
