All right, how bout this one:

The tendency to call new members 'splits': we're not a fan, mostly because we *don't* split to get/form new members; but, much like using 'alter' as a catch-all default term in plural communities (including endogenic/non-traumagenic ones) it creates an expectation that this is the way it's 'supposed' to work, when a word like 'formation' would be, imo, more neutral when people talk about systems generally and not just about their specific experience.

I think my main reason Like i feel like lesbians hc her as lesbian becuase they relate to the comphet (?) but i have never had comphet with such a close proximity to men ever like alot of mlp writers literally use her flirting with men a prime character trait and i just really find it so uncomfortable to interpret that as something done compulsively/obligatorily.. Say she does only do it for her image like there's a whole sticky mess with that i feel like it's risky and stupid if you look at it realistically I mean those are still ponies aka people she's interacting with. Nghhh. I guess i kind of get it likew manipulative evil lesbian type deal (love). But like i don't know it doesn't feel like that most the time LOL it just feels like she's just a girl and having fun and the lesbian spin puts her in what i feel like is a way too complex and emotionally troubling situation for it to not be affecting her character largely, thus diverging from canon far too much for how i like my characterization to relate to canon. I have an appreciation for what I call the “myriad colors of humanity” because it’s the blending of people and cultures that create unique experiences and perspectives that make life interesting. Anyway this is why I keep saying that people refuse to be normal about the idea of mixed race people and interracial relationships and communities happening and creating children.

I am black and black only until it is convenient to call me white. And it doesn't matter that I'm also native because I'm too black to be native anyway. I've talked about being multi-racial and having even further racial mixing in my extended family since I made this blog in 2014 but that doesn't matter if any of my racial mix can be used as a weapon against me.

Y'all complain about the stereotype of the tragic mulatto without understanding why that stereotype exists in the first place.

thinking about those swing doors with no handles and no locks that open both ways and how they're really the Idea of a door more than anything. they're purely symbolic. anyone can walk in and anyone can walk out at any time but you still have to cross the threshold. you still have to make the choice. it still means something even if nothing could have stopped you. because there's a door there.
