@punkranger #i love the contrast of having the person step thinks knows them the least well be the one to say it too #no herald may not know all the facts or even some #but he can still see the effects #and is the fastest to change his mind and accept his original view of step was wrong #or at least that he didn't know everything #idk i find it interesting how danny is both very stubborn and also easily changes his mind if proven wrong #sidestep was a hero.. but they are also a person #both of those can be true to him #meanwhile step kinda has this pessimistic view of the world where only negativity is realistic that really clashes with Daniel's view #definitely a scene that highlights how unreliable the narrative is #(not saying danny's narrative is necessarily more true though it's just another view)

Step is so incredulous that anyone would find it difficult to hurt them because their own personal history proves that's not true at all, it's been very easy for people to hurt them, repeatedly.
