guys I'm so mad I had the idea to make a playlist of songs I really like that were specifically top 40 hits during the 80s (to prove a point to someone) but the thing is what gave me the idea was hearing She's Lost Control by Joy Division on the radio and I am very frustrated to learn that for various technicality reasons it was, in fact, never a top 40 hit nor was it first released in the 80s
#i took it as a given that it would qualify#not knowing a lot about joy divison just liking a couple tracks#but it wasnt a single except in the us where it didnt chart bc the americans have no appreciation for good music#does atmosphere charting in '88 with she's lost control as the b-side count#draco speaks
