BTS Content Watchlist - Master Post

Intro/what/why even I like to make things that didn't exist when I was a baby ARMY that I wish had existed. I'm also rather insane.

I decided to do this big BTS project because I needed something to do and I miss them a lot. My original Official Fan Content Watchlist was fun to put together, but definitely light on content. (Side note: I plan to update that post with all 2 things they've released since 2021 [hyperbole], but probably not until I get to those years on my current project.) So naturally, I decided to take it up about 1300 notches 😅 I already finished 2012-2014, and I'm working on 2015. These lists are really intense, so I'm going to create separate posts and link to them here.

What kind of content is on this list? Official fan content, fan lives, member logs, documentaries, and variety show appearances. No formal/stand-alone interviews or radio shows, announcements/promos (unless they're done as a skit), music videos, dance practices, or performances. For US TV appearances, I will only include content done in the spirit of variety shows (ex: the skits from Fallon, but not the performance or interview cuts).

What kind of links are on this list? Most links will take you to Youtube, either the official BTS channel, or a fansub if no English subtitles are available. For paid fan content, I won't be providing links but they will appear on the list in the order they aired along with everything else. The only links to weverse on the list are videos which are free to watch with an account. I didn't want to link to them at all, but couldn't find any other sources that have all the live videos with working English subtitles. Other sources (used sparingly) include Viki (subscription service for Korean television), dailymotion, mega, and ok.ru as a last resort.

Why are the lists broken up so weirdly/Why so many posts???? tumblr has a really dumb 100 link per post limit, and of course BTS content easily passes 100 things in a year. Sometimes it feels like they have 100 contents in a month (and maybe in some cases they do).

I'm sorry but Kaylor Tumblr is an echo chamber right now, and dumb echo chamber at that.

Everyone including Swifties have been bored of the pap walks Taylor has been doing with her friends since after the first two or three she's done after dumping Toe, nobody wants to see Taylor do the same boring pap walks with the same boring people at the same boring restraunts while the vast majority of people think that her current street style looks like complete crap.

Swifties were so bored of all this boring shit that Taylor's doing for the 1989 TV rollout that a lot of them were coming up with wild theories about how there is going to be a secret B-side to 1989 TV that has vault tracks with titles that don't sound boring as shit and collabs with actually cool and interesting celebrities. The excitement Taylor drummed up for Swifties with the Google vault puzzle didn't even last that long, the excitement all died off within two hours of Taylor announcing the vault track names and Swifties went back to coming up with "theories" to try and make 1989 TV and everything around it less boring.

Taylor bearding with this football dude was actually a good move for her to make because now Swifties aren't bored to death over how lackluster the rollout for 1989 TV is anymore and now she's got the attention of people who wouldn't be interested in her without this dude as potential new consumers of her products and the only downside of her doing this was pissing off a miniscule section of her fandom, Gaylors, who have a major issue with too many of them acting like awful over-entitled brats because she's her own person who handles her closet exactly the way she wants to instead of coming out of the closest for the benefits of others even thought Taylor's indicated in her most recent album Midnights that coming out of the closet just so others can benefit is something she has zero interest or intention of doing.

That he'll solve all the problems by keeping swifties occupied and boosting her sales? I don't even- lol first, if your fanbase is so thirsty for news or entertainment that they can't sit still for a few weeks, something is wrong in the way you handle them. She's either sending the wrong signals, spoiling them with too much content to the point that when one thing happens (like the vault to solve), they're already antsy for the next thing. Did they forget about the year she spent away?? Maybe they need reminding. If you kept up with her during 2014-2015, you'll remember what it was like the 1989 era - she did promote that album a lot. It worked and she didn't need a guy for it, how crazy. What I think most ppl around me are saying, is that she's the Taylor Swift. She doesn't need a man to boost her numbers. Sure, she's reaching a new territory and a new audience with this stunt, but she doesn't need it to make big bucks. She's at the top of her game, she's reaching a new high every day. Just check the charts or how her concerts are sold out. Not to mention that 1989 is an era based on her being single and happy, her preaching all around about having fun with her friends and enjoying life without a relationship. That seems to have been thrown out of the window now. She could do better promo if she wanted to, bc we've seen it before. Now it seems like even if she just dumped her last beard in the first semester, she can't go more than a few months without a guy. What message does it send, anon? Ppl have every right to be annoyed, even if we do understand she's doing it for even bigger numbers and to have a wider audience. Most of us have been here for years keeping up with her story. As far as I've seen, no one is being an asshole demanding her to come out or whatever. They're just wondering why this same old story again. preference of communication:  mainly tumblr IMs these days, but i have discord and wire and occasionally i will drop my info on tumblr, give it out privately if asked, or add if someone else is looking to add. it can take me a while to work up the courage to message someone in the first place and i'm really... not good at the usual social cues of "hey how are you/good how are you?/what have you been up to?" but i'm usually game to chat about other stuff

most active muse:  Caleb. i've had a lot of other muses but he's been the one i've been most consistently able to write in the slightly over 3 years since i first started writing him.

experience/how many years:  i had a couple false starts trying to set up rp blogs for Samwise Gamgee from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Wirt from Over the Garden Wall back in 2014 and 2015? but i just never really managed to get off the ground and start writing in-character for them because i was super heavily intimidated by the rpc and too nervous to approach anyone. finally in january 2017 i stumbled across a parody of Portal 2 on youtube called the Unauthorized Musical and discovered that there were already a handful of muns on tumblr who had picked up characters specifically based on that production and regularly hosted rabbit streams where they'd watch the video again together and welcomed anyone who wanted to join to do so. i noticed nobody was really writing any antagonistic characters against them so i wound up setting up a blog for GLaDOS and following everybody i met during the stream and that was essentially how i became hooked on tumblr rp. i've been kicking around on and off for about 7 years now.

best experience: there's so many to choose from, but i think i'd have to say my best experience was when i started writing Caleb. i was just fresh off watching Westworld season 3, i was actually feeling more compelled at the time to try and write either Dolores, Maeve, Clementine or Teddy but i felt like i wouldn't do any of 'em justice. i ended up making a sideblog to my old multimuse after deciding i would try writing Caleb, and that's where i almost immediately connected with melody/aworldofyou/copiesofme and was enthusiastically introduced to a bunch of other muns residing in the tiny but mighty westworld rpc. 🥰

rp pet peeves: one is pretty much the same as Sandra said; making a new main blog in the spur of the moment. exhausting all energy on curating a distinct aesthetic for icons/banners/promos/custom themes/etc, and then completely losing interest in a week or 2 without ever getting to write that character. and then more often than not the process gets repeated down the line until that person either becomes overwhelmed from having too many blogs to manage or too many memes to answer or too many starters to write.

i also don't particularly love memes that promote making rp into a popularity contest or seeking an almost constant stream of validation from other people. things like "send a _ and i'll rate your blog on a scale of 1 to 10/using a scale template" i try to stay far away from. arguably every notification you get on tumblr is an instant dopamine hit just like all social media is but. idk there was just something about those blog rating/character rating memes that made them feel more addictive to send and receive than like, taking the time to give someone your honest opinion on how you feel about them as a person or on their writing and characters and such.

another similar thing is reblog chains to the effect of 'reblog this if you actually like following me/seeing me on the dash.' i really don't like these. there's a level of self-deprecation and guilt-tripping involved and when people already feel awfully low and vulnerable to negative self image this just makes it worse. especially when people post with side commentary like 'oh nobody will reblog this from me lol.' and i don't think they're always necessarily aware that this is manipulative behavior, but...it is. even just the way the source post is typically phrased, it preys on insecurity and it makes me sad when i do see mutuals reblogging posts written like this because then i'm like. just sitting there thinking "i'm not a spambot so...if i didn't like following you or seeing you on my dash i would not be following you??"

other forms of reblog chains like 'reblog to give the person you're reblogging from a hug' or 'reblog this and say something nice about the person you reblogged from' are far better in my opinion because they don't inherently contain that same level of insecurity. they put the focus on lifting up and supporting the person you're reblogging from instead of centering on yourself.

plots or memes: i like both but i am very much a memes person because i feel like i'm not very good at plotting.

long or short replies: i don't really have a preference! but lately my thing generally seems to be letting the length creep up so my replies just get longer and longer over time. i never expect anyone to match me, but like. the one thing that would crush my soul is me posting like. 5-7 paragraphs and getting back a one sentence or one word response 😭

are you like your muses: i have a few things in common with caleb, one of them being that we're both neurodivergent and just trying to exist in a society where it is typically seen as undesirable to be classed as such. i stumbled across a venn diagram a while back comparing and contrasting common traits associated with ptsd and autism and it has given me a lot to take into consideration in the way that i portray caleb

Why do people say that two ghosts was written in 2013 when Harry himself said in the Rolling stone interview that he wrote this song for Made In The AM but the story was just a bit too personal so he decided that he wants to sing the whole thing himself. So that means he wrote it in 2015. So why everyone keep saying that he wrote it in 2013 because MITAM was fully written in 2015. And he wrote it for MITAM. so????

Hi anon! First of all, calm down you sound overwhelmed hahajahhaha we’re going to solve the mystery! Don’t worry because there really is some conflicting information that I personally never gave much of a thought about, to be honest.

People say late 2013 because in May 2017 (when the song was released) he said on Elle magazine that the song had been written “three and a half years ago”. Which it would probably be for the album Four, definitely not MITAM.

That’s the information I always had imprinted in my brain. But you’re right, he mentioned the song again (years later, when Fine Line was released) in that Rolling Stones interview with a completely different date/context. Which is very weird because they only wrote MITAM between April and June 2015.

So I think we have a few possibilities here. 1) he really just got the dates mixed up and wrote the song later than he thought, around 2014, not really fitting either Four or MITAM timelines. An honest mistake

Or 2) and this is the option I’m particularly more inclined to believe, when we look into both contexts like that - he actually wrote that for MITAM and he was lying the first time he was asked, when the song was being promoted. And that’s a huge fuck you to Haylor lol Because, see, if we think about it, they didn’t really have a storyline for HS1, but Two Ghosts became very famous for being the “Taylor Swift song” because of the line “Same lips red, same eyes blue” . So when he was asked in the Elle article, it was immediately made a parallel with the time the stunt happened. Which is absurd lol because, of course, it was a fake relationship so he obviously didn’t fucking write a song about her, but also the context of the song doesn’t even make sense, they dated for only a few weeks, the song is clearly about a long term relationship. Plus, considering her song “about Harry” also have conflicting dates…. Well. Again, massive fuck you to Haylor. Also while promoting the song/album, Grimmy even asked him directly about Two Ghosts being about Taylor Swift, and of course that was planned and created a huge fuss around it even though Harry’s reaction wasn’t really playing along with it. That was promo.

They never really used any songs back from the band to promote Harry’s stunts and it would make sense to start doing that on his solo career with his most famous stunt. Which totally turned out to be what Fine Line was about years later, a breakup album… so the formula to keep people interested definitely works. Albums need a narrative. And that was how Two Ghosts was pushed. So yeah… honestly I think it was written much later than 2013, probably early 2015, as he said in the Rolling Stones interview. Or he was lying in both situations LOL and only wrote that for HS1 (but I don’t think so because the people he used to write in 1D are credited in the song). But, again, it doesn’t really matter because it’s about a long term relationship, so 2013, 2015, 2017….. it was always about Louis and the struggles of a closeted relationship.

Hey so I am a solo louie, I follow you despite you being a larrie because I think you are super level headed and quite frankly I love that you separate how you feel about their relationship and their career your damn good writer too. I became a fan last year and I am well aware that for the most part larries don’t believe that child is his. Apart of me thinks that is just crazy but another knows that the entertainment industry is also batshit crazy so anything can happen. What I don’t understand is the point of it , nobody really cares and there is no way he would come out of this without without ruining his life and like I just don’t see how the whole thing makes any sense. None of it makes any logical sense like how do they plan all of this to end and why ?

I think the key thing you’re forgetting is that when this started, people DID care. This didn’t start in 2017 or 2020 - Louis’ heavy closeting with Eleanor started all the way back in 2011 (a much different time then now) and babygate started in 2015. Louis was in the biggest band in the world and there were continual widespread rumors about him and his bandmate being together - his bandmate who was set up as the heartthrob frontman from the beginning of the band and I think starting in 2014 (or whenever Jeff first entered the picture) was looking toward an eventual future solo career, which is exactly what Sony wanted.

I think part of it was just to shut down the rumors with Harry, who again, I think Sony has always viewed as their money machine, and also just because just as many boybands before them, One Direction was marketed to girls as objects of their lust - boys the fans could fantasize about dating. I don’t believe any of the boys who may have identified as LGBTQ+ would have been permitted to come out while in the band because of this marketing strategy, but especially not Louis, who many stereotyped as gay from day one of the band and who many shipped specifically with the most popular of the heartthrob members.

I think the other big part of it is just punishment for Louis and always has been. Not only did he threaten their bottom line by not fitting into the cookie cutter One Direction straight boy mold that Sony clearly wanted and expected from all the boys, but he also fought for One Direction to become more than Sony/Syco wanted them to be. They expected the band to make them a lot of money with bubble gum pop songs for a few years and then burn out quickly when they’d overworked them too much and when all the girls turned toward a new shiny boyband or artist on the horizon, but what they didn’t account for was the fact that rather than falling in line, Louis and the others would fight to write more on the albums and Louis specifically would fight for them to mature their sound. And Louis was very successful in that because even though One Direction was not at their peak popularity with some of their later, more mature, and more well-written albums, they developed a fanbase with that music that would’ve stuck around long-term, not just for their personalities and pretty faces but for the actual music, which I suspect would never have happened if they’d just continued on their generic path that Sony set them on.

Most solo Louies recognize the sabotage of his career with his lack of promo, the fact that he is never protected or defended in the media by his team, and how they push his personal life as a focal point for most promo rather than his talent and music. If you can recognize that, it’s probably not that hard to imagine that they could saddle him with a beard and a fake child to double down on his heterosexuality and then continue it out of spite, fully recognizing that they have tied his hands in terms of his public image because it’s been so long of this, media trained him out of showing his true personality and mannerisms for years, and alienated him from large portions of his fanbase - because Larries are NOT the only group of his fans that suspect he is not straight - I know tons of solo Louies do as well.

The question of why it’s continuing today is a great one and I wish I had the answer and could see what’s happening behind the scenes. If Louis had finally gotten rid of Sony and Syco last year and immediately his solo career started improving, suggesting that his team was finally working for him and doing their jobs properly, and still the stunts continued, I think it would make sense to start to wonder whether Louis wanted that for himself. However, that’s not what happened at all. Louis still has the same management and PR, PR that has always been associated with Sony and Syco, by the way, and there have been no improvements to anything related to his career. I understand that there are limitations because he hasn’t toured or put out a new album yet, but I think you just have to see the lack of press, promo, and even basic respect and recognition around his massive record-breaking livestream in December and his upcoming festival to see that things haven’t changed. LTHQ on Twitter continues to be as useless as ever, Louis’ social media is rarely used to promote his career, and there has been no attempt to build hype for the future music that Louis is working on aside from a single set of pap pictures outside of the studio. These are some of the most basic things that a normal team would be working on, particularly considering how massive Louis’ platform is and how excited his fans have been even throughout the pandemic.

Louis watches what his fans say about everything on Twitter, and when he’s able to, he changes things with a snap of his fingers to ensure that his fans are happy. There’s no doubt in my mind that Louis has watched fans continue to complain about his team over the last year, yet nothing ever changes or improves, and he occasionally makes subtle nods to the fact that his support and successes are thanks to the fans only - never his team. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when he releases new music, but at least as of now, I think it’s evident that Louis is still not being positioned for success in his career with the team that he’s with, even after leaving Syco/Sony.

Without knowing what contracts Louis has signed over the years and how long they are binding, it’s impossible for fans to know how free he is officially, so all we can do is go off of what we see. And what I see right now is that nothing has changed with his career, and so while it seems absurd, it doesn’t actually shock me that much that other elements haven’t changed either. I also think it’s going to be very difficult for them to end babygate in particular at this point, which is probably something at the forefront of their minds.

So I can’t answer for why it hasn’t ended or when and how it will, but I can tell you that as long as his career is not prioritized by anyone around him, I find it very hard to believe that he is 100% free to make his own choices. Even if commercial success is not Louis’ number one priority, we’ve seen so many times how much it means to Louis when he does well on the charts. I do sometimes worry that Louis has given up and resigned himself to this fate because of how long he’s been sabotaged - I’ve worried about this particularly in the last year or so - but I still don’t believe this is all his choice. You can’t convince me that this person who was so clever with how to mature the band in One Direction, this person who has so much interest in the back end of the music industry, this person who has fought tooth and nail for a solo career that nobody thought he could pull off, this person who cares so deeply about what his fans think, is content with the team around him not bothering to do the basics of their job - to the constant widespread and loudly expressed frustration of his fanbase. And as a result, I suspect that babygate and Elounor are likely still around for the same reasons the rest hasn’t improved.

Why give Harry the womanizer image?

Would the image of a womanizer not damage the image of 1D?

If they’d portrait him as a sleeze it would have surely damaged the overal image of 1D. But Harrys image portrait him as charming, a bit quirky and overall an airhead that likes people and doesn’t want to be tied down. Thus giving the illusion of being potentially available to every woman and showing them a good, no strings attached, time. Which is a massive selling point for boybands to increase the age range of their fans.

In addition, all his conquests would be used to stir up drama or simply generate attention at crucial times to get 1D in the press without mentioning their current promo focus in every headline.

The winter girlfriends had a special role as they were the only ones actively worked as continuous dating. To build some attachment, have a continuous storyline that could be tied to the just released album and bridge the holiday pause, and when the relationship ended generate more drama to be used for promo.

Harry did keep on using his womanizer image to promote both his solo albums but in a very controlled manner. The numbers of new woman linked to him declined to 1 in 2019, for now we are at 0 (1) in 2020

HS promo used 3 woman as inspirations for songs (Towns, Fowler, Swift) and a tour gf (Rowe)

FL promo only uses the previous tour gf as now ex to push the storyline of a breakup album

He is very visibly changing his image while still maintaining a level of connection to his old image. Whether that's due to contractual restrictions or a strategy to not alienate to many fans is unclear

The simplest explanation is that Babe is about Dianna so Taylor made sure people knew that.  And hey that’s completely possible.

What if Taylor painting herself as the desperate other woman in this music video all about Dianna has a meaning further than it just worked out like that?  What if Dianna was cheating on Winston with Taylor in a late stage illicit Swiftgron affair 👀👀👀????  (no I don’t think IA is about dianna, she doesn’t take runs)

Taylor said herself that “the narrative is never truly over” about her and Dianna so right after she and Karlie broke up why wouldn’t we expect a Swiftgron fling:

3 January 2017 - Taylor diaries that she’s “essentially based in London” and that “we have been together and no one has found out for three months.” (This could be three months with Joe from September 28 OR three months from Tily’s Halloween party. Either way, not Karlie).

8 January 2017 - Taylor and Zayn film the I Don’t Wanna Live Forever MV in London.

So the question is, can we build a theory about Swiftgron having a late stage affair simply because they were in the same city at the same time?  Well if Kaylors can claim Kaylor got engaged solely because Taylor was not papped while Karlie went on vacation then I say YES!  Tis the damn season!!!

Let’s look at social media clues.  Dianna seemed to be in on Rep promo.  You want proof?  Well what else could she have meant when she posted a photo captioned “please don’t eat the daisies” a few months after the London affair. We know Karlie called Taylor daisy so perhaps social media criminal mastermind Dianna “queen of shade” Agron was trying to humiliate Karlie because Karlie smirked at her at that fashion show in 2015:

Emboldened by her own crimes she then flexed her insider knowledge of Rep promo by posting video of her singing on instagram with the caption “Zombie Love” a mere three days before Taylor appeared in the LWYMMD music video dressed as a zombie in the OOTW (a song about Dianna) dress.  Why is Taylor a zombie in specific outfit?  Because Swiftgron is back from the dead of course:

Not only that but in the music video she buries the Taylor in the met gala dress from 2014.  She attended that met gala with Karlie.  RIP KAYLOR LONG LIVE SWIFTGRON!??!?

Now positively DRUNK with power, Dianna seems to stalk Karlie to an event only to tauntingly call her goooeeoeoeooueuueugoussssssss to her face, the queen of manipulation and psychological warfare has struck again!!!  This happens in Feb 2018 a mere matter of weeks before babe is dropped as a single.

We of course know Dianna admits to her own commitment issues on instagram two days before Babe drops but what if she is referencing her commitment issues not with Taylor but with her husband Winston because she is cheating on him with Taylor at this point in time or did some time in 2017???

Taylor releases babe and then later the music video seeming to be screaming to the whole world that yes she is cucking Winston Marshall and she wants you, your mom, and your cat to know about it!

Dianna voices her support of this by posting this to her IG stories at the end of May:

I’ve always suspected DBATC is a Swiftgron song due to the lyrics “i look through the windows of This Love, even though we boarded them up” -that references the flood that happened in Clean that taylor says she and the London Lover (or Karlie) boarded up the windows of after the storm in CIWYW.

and while Dianna seems to love rubbing Karlie’s face in it, like the evil villain we all know she is, Taylor likewise seems to like to rub Winston’s cuck status in his face in it since she adds a song he wrote about Dianna to her me! playlist in June of 2019:

Winston has had enough of this and he and Dianna split in July of 2019 though it doesn’t go public for a year.

To add insult to injury (and to personally attack tumblr kaylors all over the world) Taylor performs false god at SNL, a song she wrote about her and Dianna’s late stage affair with Dianna in attendance. 

So in summation, perhaps Taylor is referencing Dianna so much recently because they hooked up more recently than 2013 and that’s why Taylor paints herself as the other woman in the Babe mv and has become obsessed with adultery lately.  Because maybe Dianna was cheating on Winston with her 😌😌😌.

I'm the same anon as before and you're so right!!! I don't have a normal 9-5 so my hours are whatever I want so 🤷‍♀️ and just because of that my weeks looks incredible different to the ones of my friends, I will be doing the most random things at the most random times and I Can't imagine what my life would look like if in addition to the time I had access to the same kind of money they have.

I also think some fans don't want to seem crazy and want to feel superior so they shut down headcanons like this one just for the sake of it

Sooooo many fans try to kill fun headcanons just because they don’t want to “give antis ammo” or whatever. It’s like they forget two key things: 1. Fandom is fun 2. Antis are gonna fucking hate us anyway

Like we aren’t going to convince a hateful anti to leave us alone. We sure aren’t going to convince them Harry and Louis are together. We might barely be able to convince them either of them are allies much less part of the LGBT community. So why put any effort into policing ourselves in that manner? Just let us have fun!

I’ve been in this fandom since 2014 and I still have fun every single day. I also have made sure to cultivate an overall positive fandom experience. I have a large group of friends who are all as positive as me and we just share fun headcanons and try to puzzle stuff out in the most low key and low risk to our mental health way possible. I block hate anon pretty liberally. I don’t go looking for anyone who is doing anything I don’t care to engage with. If I see people getting sucked into discourse or spiraling into unhealthy behaviors when it comes to doomsdaying away I go in the OPPOSITE direction of it.

I watched “rad Louies” become a thing because fans were convinced Louis was being sabotaged in 2017 and rolled my eyes and continued on in my lane, writing fic and figuring that everything would be okay and now 5 years out I can pretty confidently say I believe there’s a lot of evidence Louis cut the promo himself on Back to You and his Epic contract because he didn’t like the musical direction he was going in.

I watched fandom tie themselves into knots over and over again with Harry’s stunts and have just shrugged and carried on because it’s not my life and not my job to worry about what Harry is choosing to do with his life.

I learned in May 2015 when fandom tried to “change the narrative about party boy Louis” that we as fans don’t actually have control at all. 1DHQ worked really hard to give us that illusion that we were all powerful and we had control on the marketing decisions etc but guess what? No one TALKED about Briana openly when Louis got papped with her in May. No one shared pap pics on tumblr. And yet we STILL GOT BG. We bitched and moaned and debunked left right and center and yet they CONTINUED ON.

As a fan my only job is to have fun. I have fun by trying to work out timelines and make up cute headcanons. My headcanons aren’t hurting anyone and despite what antis think I really don’t care if I’m right or wrong lol hell I’ll be the first to admit that I get shit wrong a lot. *gestures towards my guess that Louis was doing something May 25th when it turned out to be an error on his poster (which is a whole other issue but whatever) and that Steve Aoki might make an appearance at Louis’ Vegas show (which turned out to be that Louis showed up at HIS show)*

I’m having a blast. If my headcanons get debunked oh well I move on. Fandom is supposed to be fun! Be in it because you enjoy it and you HAVE FUN! If you aren’t having fun maybe… find something else to do?

My very old friend from back in elementary school used to be super into Kpop and she showed me TVXQ stuff a lot. I didn't know it was Korean pop music and was confused at how she even found it or understood it. She referred to them as DBSK and I wasn't familiar with that either, she talked about some of their Chinese ver. songs and so I thought they were a Chinese and generally asian band. Anywway that was how I got introduced to Kpop initially without knowing it's actually Kpop.

Later, after I moved to Canada, our school had a dance team that and they decided to dance to "I'm the best" by 2ne1. I asked a friend what song was playing during rehearsal in the cafeteria and she told me the name. She also told me it's Kpop, saying the language is Korean, which is when I truly knew about it. My cousin at the time also did these choreo videos with her friends to that song and I recognized it from their video too.

Even after enjoying 2ne1 songs, Big Bang, other Kpop artists from 2012 I couldn't get into it. I saw some of my friends absolutely adore EXO, Shinee, Super Junior etc. and I was just in the sidelines like a fool obsessing over One Direction of all things. Couple years later in 2014, my other (younger) cousin got into Kpop very heavily because of Shinee, Red Velvet, F(x) and some other SM groups. She showed me songs from all the bands she liked and BTS happened to be one of them. I listened to "Boy in Luv" in a small mp3 player which became the first BTS song I ever heard.

My cousin told me to listen intently to Namjoon's deep voice and rapping. Back then, it wasn't very impressive to me (oh how the turntables) and she showed me the MV which was even less appealing. But I won't lie, that song was stuck in my head for weeks! I loved it so much despite it not be familiar to me. I searched up the lyrics and had fun with my friends at how silly some of them sounded and (Hakuna Matata in Hobi's verse) I illegally downloaded it. I didn't search up any of their other songs.

(She also showed me songs by 2pm and I was enamored by Junho and the song 'my house'. It was around the summer of 2015 I decided I'll "get into" Kpop because of him and made a sideblog for Junho and general Kpop stuff. The blog and obsession was very short-lived)

Eventually, in 2015 an online friend (no longer friends or mutuals bc funnily enough I started to dislike their opinions about BTS KASJAB) kept retweeting about BTS' music and how they were "making art". Because I recognized their name I was curious what they were up to and decided to search them up. By then it was November-ish 2015. Their latest song was Dope and it was SO IMPRESSIVE. I talked to my best friend about it (the person who I got into BTS with and we're still fans) and we ended up watching a lot of BTS variety shows like Rookie King and American Hustle Life.

I was initially only interested in Taehyung because he looked cute to me and from all the "facts" about him online, I found him most relatable. But I couldn't deny all the members are so sweet and precious in their own ways. Eventually when Run came out my friend and I were really into their music. It was interesting because she used to listen to bands like Fall Out Boy and I listened to stuff like One Direction but we both found common ground in them. We watched so many of their interviews and got HOOKED on RUN BTS episodes (which was just starting back then and no ha over 100 episodes! <3) and it was only a matter of time before we became really attached to them.

My interest in Kpop in general has always been on and off. But there is a saying in BTS's fandom that you find them when you need them most and it was true. I was 17, in high school, most likely not in a great headspace etc. when I found BTS and their music has helped me since then. So no matter my interest in Kpop dwindling I'll always enjoy them and their music both by individual members and them as a group. It brings me immense joy!!!!

Joe isn't William Bowery, as in he literally legally can NOT be William Bowery or Taylor would've committed six counts of felony criminal copyright infringement by breaking 17 U.S.C § 506(a) and 18 U.S.C § 2319 by lying about William Bowery being a US citizen and Scooter would've immediately informed the government when he realized that Taylor broke the law and had Taylor slapped with an enormous fine and a 10 year maximum prison sentence.

Lying about citizenship on a copyright application is extremely illegal, and even if Joe and Taylor had been married, they would've had to of gotten married in late 2014 or early 2015 for the 5.5 year long citizenship process for immigrants married to a US citizen to have gone through before folklore dropped, and seeing as they aren't married and Joe's only legal residence listed since 2016 is his parent's house according to his public records, he's never even been eligible to start the 5.5-7.5 year long citizenship process for the US in the first place.

To be honest, the real William Bowery is either Taylor herself or Austin Swift, and Taylor only said that Joe was William Bowery because she was anticipating folklore to get nominated for many categories at the Grammy's and wanted an attention grabbing ace up her sleeve to generate enough attention and promo for folklore to ensure that a ridiculous amount of irate people would call the Academy out if they dared to snub her again. Just like how Taylor said in several folklore interviews and Long Pond Studio Sessions that she spent most of 2020 at the Goldwyn House in LA working on her music, but is now having Tree to push articles about how she and Joe were living in London all of 2020 instead, she's angling for a historical third AOTY Grammy and psyching up her fans to cyber-attack the Academy voters should she be snubbed by folklore by making up fake stories about how it was created and connecting it to Joe.

I was having this discussion with a fellow Flash fan & we both agreed that if the Flash had gone the Arrow route & replaced Iris with either Patty or Caitlin, we would’ve stopped watching. There’s no way I would sit thru another bland rls when we saw so much chem btwn G&C. I did the same when I saw that NB was being sidelined on SH. I didn’t even wait until they killed her off to stop watching the show. What are your thoughts?

Actually, I was very apprehensive about starting The Flash back in 2014, because by then Arrow was in its third season, and I’d been watching the show since its inception (long suffering comics DinahOllie fan here), so I already knew at that point that the show was centering Felicity as leading lady, while slowly trying to phase Laurel out. They gave her her Black Canary arc in season 3, but it left a lot to be desired, and having watched season 2, I knew the moment the introduced Sara as the Canary, essentially handing over Laurel’s origin arc to her sister, I was hyper-aware of what was going on. So because of that, I honestly approached Flash with trepidation, but very early on I knew that Iris and Candice had a support system and a powerful fanbase who really were proactive online. I knew going in that Iris and Candice were going to be the targets of vitriolic anti-Black racism, and I’d seen so many Black women disrespected, treated awfully, and side-lined in narratives time and again, and so I knew how integral it was that Iris have such a powerful fandom. 

In fact, during season 1, when it was airing, I mostly stuck close to Iris, and while I enjoyed many of the other characters (pretty much all of them during season 1), I very much was watching for Iris, because I was honestly worried about getting too attached. Ironically, I ended up falling in love with Iris right from the very beginning, and I slowly became invested in the show and its other characters, especially Barry. And I couldn’t exactly resist shipping Westallen, lol. But yeah, I was really trying to put distance between myself and the show during season 1, because I knew that one small whiff of any nonsense, and I was out. The former proved impossible: I was absolutely invested quite early on, but I would have dropped the show the moment I saw any nonsense. I came close to dropping the show in season 2A, but the December 2015 “Everything Changes” promo sucked me right back in by teasing Earth-2 Iris and Earth-2 Westallen (it was actually E-1 Barry and E-2 Iris in the promo). If I recall correctly, a lot of Iris fans were of a similar mindset going into the back half of season 2. In fact, there is a general consensus in fandom, that the reaction to that promo being overwhelmingly people freaking out about the one-second clip of Earth-2 WA (and not like... anything else in that teaser) AND Candice’s performance as Earth-2 Iris basically dominating all conversations about those episodes (the promo for those episodes were overwhelmingly teasing E-2 Killer Frost, but the responses to those episodes, both the critical response and the audience response, were heavily centered on Candice’s incredible performance as Earth-2 Iris) basically cemented Iris and Candice as the leading lady of the show. TPTB were being painfully wishy-washy back then, and I don’t think they anticipated the incredible response Iris and Candice received after 2x13 and 2x14, but that response also told them all they needed to know.

so after seeing the news of a potential k/fp4 release, i'm really doubtful of the timing of the news for like a ton of reasons. for one, there's a pandemic, which is making a ton of movies move their release dates until next year, which does line up with the news floating around of it coming out either 2020/2021.

but there's also been no mention of it in their upcoming films-- its just croods 2, boss baby 2, spirit riding free(? isn't that a show), and something called the bad guys (all of which may be also postponed to some degree but thats just speculation on my part)

on top of that, we haven't seen any sort of promotional images or a trailer. looking back, the first promo images leaked for k/fp3 came back all the way from late 2014. the first official teaser images came out at around january 2015, with trailers following after (and this was back when people thought it was going to release by november/december of that year).

if k/fp4 was planned to be released, wouldn't we have gotten, at the very least, a statement or a promo image by now?

personally, i think a k/fp4 would come out in 2022-2024 but that's just me
