Johns a pooka, an irish fae trickster who shapeshifts into animals. his favorite form is the bunny. john and jane are both fae, so their pranks range from harmless to mentally scaring to life altering. absolute chaos grimlins. dirk is also an irish myth, so he knows them well and is often trying to get them to not ruin the local population of humans. so they do pranks on him insted. john loves to steal dirks head and hide it places.

rose speaks to the eldritch horrors and is slowly becoming one herself. she wants to become a litch.

Dave is a harpy! a very chill one who doesn't tend to sing with his full chest, so people dont start crashing into his doorstep. dave dies in some magic accident that caused davesprite to rise up from the ashes. but dave harpy is ALSO fine no ones really sure how. may have been roses doing.

Jade is a werewolf obv. but shes also a witch and has formed a coven with rose and roxy.

Jane is ur avrage fae faerie/sprite. her favorite fae rule to get people to break is "dont eat their food."

Roxy is both a cat who is also a wizard i need not elaborate

Dirk is a headless horseman. not to be confused with THE headless horse man. thats another dullhan with a well paying halloween gig. dirk is often subject to losing his head, so he made a magic pumpkin to pilot the body when this happens. he does have a very large and scary but beautiful horse.

Jake is the bigfoot. and one of the most well hunted (and well travled) cryptids. thus, his friends often make jokes of not ever seeing him except in blurry images. its not his fault hes very large and loves to travel! and is also not very photogenic...

Aradia is a monthra!!! however she made a deal with a devil and became a ghost... not sure WHY yet or why it kills her. but it does. its all in her plan or smth, but that doesnt stop sollux from being very upset that hes the one that has to take and keep her soul. she is reserected later by the coven, still soulless but it doesnt matter bc her soul is in good hands and thus she still feels it. shes much happier now.

Tavros is a minotar self explanatory he is a small minotar, tho. a mini minotar if u will.

Sollux is ur run of the mill soul for potato chip demon. an excuse to give him twin tails and horns. him an kitkat gave me the most trouble! but then i went with a solkat devil angel motifi and im kinda attached t9 it now. even if its sorta a cop out. i simply couldnt find twin creatures that werent gods or children of gods. nor any crab creatures...

Karkat is an angel. he WAS human notably he was human for awhile even good friends with kanaya before he died. he never found love but helped so many with theres that he became an angel that was a lot like cupid. thus he was a small angel incharge of match making and also likened to a baby and hes very much NOT happy about this. it pisses him off, solluxs often gives him a hard time. about it. (extra angst is that kitkats also really fucked up about never knowing what love felt like but having to give it to others. and he has it in his head that that means he never will know, bc no ones matchmaking the matchmaker. but theres a song he hears everyonece anwhile by a stray harpy that makes him feel a lot lighter.)

Kanaya is a vampire. obviously.

Terezi is a dragon! still blind! still licks. but can now transform and has wings, very scary. shes basiclly just her lusus lmao.

Vriska is a spider lady. i have arachne here bc its similar, but shes not arachne the myth proper. shes just a spider with the top part of a woman at the head. A Jorogumo a spider lady yokai and is basically actually what im picturing.

Equius is a centar and fuck if i ever have to draw him....

Gamzee is a clowwwn, just a clown, just a silly lil guy. What do you MEAN clowns arnt mythical creatures??? what do u mean u saw him under ur bed when you were a child? u must be mistaken. as a nod to ICPs boogieman. when gamzee is not high as a kite and is just a clown, he is one of the most terrifying and unkillable creatures known to children kind.

Eridan is a selkie. basiclly a mermaid but part seal. personally, I'd like to make him part seahorse. but not in the hippocampus way. i chose this bc he can shapeshift, thus he pretends to be a high elf sorcerer, yes he does get dunked on about this.

And finally, Feferi is a siren! who happens to be able to become very VERY **VERY** BIG. she doesnt lure people to drown them but she DOES love to keep live captives in cages :)

"coming!" i bolted out of there. phew, at least im free from embarrassment now. . once i got in the kitchen, yuji and nobara were arguing about who was going to eat the most food. suguru handed me the utensils that went on the table. i realized hadn't talked to him since i got home. he gently patted my head instead of ruffling my hair like satoru. "how was your visit to the ice rink?" he asked, gently smiling at me. "It was good, until i hit my head and fell on my butt." suguru chuckled at my defeated tone. i started to set the table, placing the chopsticks, spoons, etc in front of every seat. i watch as yuji and nobara approach him, talking to him comfortably. i didnt know they were friends with megumi. he seems like the closed off type, especially now.

soon, shoko arrives and everyone eats. i have to admit, my brother sure can cook. im starting to think hes like satoru's malewife..anyways, after everyone finished eating, we had a drawing, and whoever drew the short stick had to wash dishes while everyone else got to play uno. God was NOT favoring me today. there were two short sticks, and guess who got them! me and megumi. FREAKING MEGUMI. you know what? it cant get more awkward than this.... right?

i put forward Link’s arc with the master sword/temple of souls in the first post but i would rlly like to revisit that and get a bit more specific abt WHY i love it. under the cut bc it’s screenshot heavy LOL

to start out stage 12, they explain that link is Really jamming on the master sword

you start at the Front of the hyrulean forces and are immediately thrown into combat while Proxi cheers you on, and Impa seems apprehensive

Overall this stage is Overwhelming. you have lots of keeps to capture across the entire map, only one warrior to control, and they keep spawning Very annoying Very powerful enemies that immediately begin advancing towards Zelda. After you’ve neutralized that threat, Cia only makes things worse

this is awesome . this is actually so great . i LOVE dark link as a concept and i ADOOOOORE the way they really expand on the whole “manifestation of the darkness in your heart” thing by giving link Specific Flaws to be fighting against.

not to mention the fact that it’s a flaw that you could argue was present Before the master sword ie. ignoring his comrades and running into battle despite still being a trainee in the Opening cutscenes.

couldnt find a natural way to weave this in but i also find it so interesting that these things are Both true.

when impa told link that hes the chosen hero he “did not believe himself worthy of the honor” despite knowing he’s an excellent swordsman . really shows that when he embraces his role later on a little Too enthusiastically there is Growth .

i think i would kill for this game to have the capability of providing a more intricate and moment-to-moment narrative just to see how this arc would play out on an intimate level, AND what it actually means when link considers himself not worthy yet. but this game canonically spans a matter of Months adding up the several “weeks passed” timeskips so that would be crazy. i will have to do it myself >.o

this rlly is just about one thing . MY BAD!!!

Foxtrot, aka FOXTROT-152, was a combat medic before joining the company. he specializes in medical treatment, and knows how to treat wounds, small or great, on the fly .. thats how hes survived this long out on Titan

hes extremely cautious, but kind, prioritizing the crew over himself at all times. he will give his rations, his supplies, his care, everything to the crew before taking care of himself. he is extremely selfless... its both a positive trait and a flaw of his

his reason for being brought to the company was punishment. he made a mistake that costed the lives of many people, and because of it, he was sent to the company as punishment. he was given amnestics and forced to forget everything about himself and his past except for his issued ID, FOXTROT-152. he was told what his job was, what he was expected to do, and well. he had no choice but to do it. so he did

eventually, though, he started to catch on to what the company was and what they were doing. he grew paranoid, scared of what they would do if they found out he knew... he spent every day anxious and tense, afraid of every radio transmission, every message, every ship that passed them .. scared of everything. that it was the company finally coming for him.

and one day, they finally did. they came for him ... separated him from his crew, administered more amnestics, and forced him to do a solo mission. it was meant to kill him. and it almost did

the landing alone almost killed him ... his ship was sabotaged and the landing was... messy, to say the least. he survived, though with a heavily broken arm. his forearm was shattered and his wrist was fractured, rendering the arm useless... all he could do was set it and hope for the best. he didnt realize what had happened at first, he thought it was a mistake on his part, and he kept sending out distress signals.. hoping for a rescue

but help never came, and he was left stranded on Titan for a loooong time. he soon realized what had happened to him and he just wandered... he was hoping to die without having to actually kill himself. he was too afraid to .

along the way, he picked up a sort of parasitic fungus that slowly began infecting him .. i forgot to include it in the drawing (ill edit the post in a bit) but basically it kept him alive but it used his body for its own survival in the process too. he tried very hard to get rid of it but just. couldnt. so he was left to wander the endless snow of Titan while this fungus slowly ate at him .. and hes been wandering ever since.

hes not quite alive anymore ... hes more dead than alive, sort of like a zombie, but hes still Kiiiindda in there.. somewhere. yeah :^)

as for your questions...

the role he filled was definitely a medic. he had everything you could need and took care of the crew very well.. he was very skilled in running in and dragging people away from danger, too. hes stronger than he looks for his size

his favorite foods... i think hed like something sweet, like strawberry and nutella sandwiches. something indulgent but sweet and simple :^)

and he would LOVE the spore lizards and snare fleas. hed think they were very very cute. he would definitely try to pet a lizard (and get bit in the process)

a deatiled ecplaination of every anime ive ever watched part 2

part 1 i found talentless nana on a whim after geting bored of my 4th rewatch of school live club. it had simaler genres so i was exited. i dont know how to describe my love forr tn other then the fact i was so enraptered by it that i had to grab my sketchbook partway htough the seires. if you have not watched it DO IT RIGHT NOW, DON RESURCH IT JUST START IT!! !!SPOILERS!! i was so confued on eptisoed one i figured nano was just a weird pronouncaton of nana, even wheen nana was introdcued i just assumed they had the same name lmao; so yea end of ep 1 hit me like a fucking truck. i do not have words to describe my love for the trope of "cute/sweet character was actually putting on an act" for god sake the comic thats held me hostage for the last 4 years had it. as if that wasnt enough the fact even THAT is subverted laster on???? insane! i was ont the edge of me seat every episode. it took me until ep 3 or 4 to clue in on michinana, but i assuemd it wouldnt happen bc that would be bad for michieru. AND THEN THERE WAS THE INTRODUCTION OF JIN. i didnt go out looking for new anime for a while. that is until a saw a video about so calle "loser anime" and decided to watch one of the ones mentioned for shits and giggles.

dress up darling is a bit hellish to watch, but i love it nonetheless. there is so much 2nd hand embarrassment, like actually almost killed me. Marin and gojou are unironically really cute. theres actual chemistry there. i like how at the beginning gojou sees marin as the epitome of what he lacks, she is open about her weird intrests and loved for them. gojou thinks he innately lacks something she has, making it impossible for him to have friends+ interests, but though tout s1 thanks to marins charisma and people starting to see gojous talent he finds more friends and people who appreciate his work. he doesn't innately lack anything and his biggest mistake was entirely giving up on finding friends.

and so it begun, my hobbee of finding anime i herd was bad and watching it to try to find some sort of narrative warrant within it.

so i had enjoined rachies cover of idol for a while without knowing the show it was from. i saw a video saying Oshi no Ko was good but impossible to recommend to anyone, the video said to watch it without knowing what it was about and i was intrigued. and oh my god. this anime dug a whole in my brain. listen most of it was fine and cool and not even boring, but. the first episode. [go watch it for yourself the les you know the better] SPOILERS!! seriously what the fuck kind of ferud bs was going on there. every second of that episode was fucking insane. "why is he to into that idol lol" to "HES FUCKING DEAD??" to "HES REBORN??????" to "HE CAN TALK????" to "freud couldnt even edge to this. straight up EXPLODED. clean up isle, his pants" to "what do you mean you being a girl before you were reborn means our privlaged to suck you moms tits what the actual fuck" to "waow they scared that babysitter" to "they wouldbe so cooked if their mom didnt asume they were smart" to "waow aqua is a lil freak i love him" to "waow shes really intersting and her trama responce allowing her to seced in her carreir while making her feel shalow is intersting" to "SHES FUCKING DEAD???" i ranted to my friend about it for about an hour and my voice was so score from walking laps while screaming about hoe W E R I D some lines were. didnt even bring up other eps. like i said they were fine but wow.

a while into the year i remembered a manga i really liked as a kid had an anime now, AND IT WAS DUBBED!!

i loved new game as a queer kid who would latch on to any media with wlw relationships. the anime was as i expected, same as th books. i didnt dislike it but it was more then a little boring. i think a lot of Kou and Rin's relationship was really queerbaity but ig not bc it got canonized at the end, witch is awesome. i havent watched or read it but hey we take a win. honestly i might pick it up again someday for the nostalgia.

summer 2024. from june to early aug i was on and off watching Hitorijime My Hero. witch. i would not reccomend: ITS NOT THAT BADD but it needs a

MAJOR TW!!: dont watch hitorijime or read my thoughts on if you dont wanna see: sa and victim blaming, grooming depicted in a morally positive light, age gap relationship depicted in a positive light, did i mention sa? theres a lot of it witch happens at various degrees of severity.

and even tough it pissed me off i was demanded to watch it. SPOILERS also ahead!! THE FIRST ARC ALONEE pissed me off so much. idc enough to google their names so hair color timee. ok ok the premiss was actually really cute. brunette dudes childhood friend(ginger) moveds back and has a crush on brunette but has no idea how to confess. brunette is oblivios and ginger is already a quite person so like ok theres a plot there this could be cute. episode 2 ends with ginger kissing brunette after brunette told him to stop and tried to push him off. then this bitch ass ginger threatens to end their friendship if if he cant (AND I QUOTE)"do whatever he wants to him" what gets me about the show is how realistic some of the reactions are. brunette is torn because he cares about their friendship but dosent want to be, like, assaulted more. he plays it off as a joke to keep the peace. i cannot express how accurately this depicts abuse, its what got me to sit tough so much of it. it was uncomfortable to watch but i told myself i would see it as a depiction of abuse and not a romance, because i under that context i genuinely think there may have been something to gleen from this narrative. ginger is mad at brunette for having friends so he threatens to abandon bruntte if he doesnt let him assult him again, and god the reluctant agreement from brunette hurt me. acceptance isnt enough for ginger, hes mad that brunette cant force himself to have feeling for him so ginger insults him in the worst way he can think of and ditches school for 2 days. maybe im projecting. the writing didnt seem to intend for this so come off as manipulative, as something to break down brunette till he accepts this reality. but can you blame me for sympathizing with brunette confiding in his other friend, clearly distressed, and being told in responce that it was his fault.h brunette's friend says hes wrong and brunette is the one who forced ginger to kiss him. i dont think its wrong at all to see brunette 'realize hes been wrong the whole time' and goes to ginger seemingly of his own will; and think this is a story where someone is broken down until desperation or stalkhome leads them to accept their abuse. there's no love there, its not a happy ending and writing about it makes me sick. but its feels realistic. normally i avoid seeing myself in fiction, but i couldn't help but relate to brunette enough where i had to take breaks while watching hmh because it made me sick. and that was the first arc. when i realized the rest of the show would be the student-teacher relationship with a 12 year age gap i decided 7 or so eps in i would drop the anime bc i genuinely couldn't handle it.

hmh moved me emotionally, it was impactful and i didn't want to end my quest for good anime. somewhere out there their had to be a school live! or a talentless nana i haddnt watched yet. i finally figured out how to find the stuff i loved watching! looking though lists for tropes or tags, usually older more underground stuff. its hard to describe but i have a watch-list witch brings us to now. its my junior year and i love anime. heres a list of animes ive watched recently, completed or not, and some thoughts on them!

it reminded me of discourse i saw in 2022 over if femboy was derogatory to trans women. i see the argument, i really do, but honestly, i(a trans boy) LOVE the femboy/trap trope. first of all: 1st of all i like that feminine guys / gender nonconformity is thought to be generally cool within anime places(like even Facebook lowkey homophobic groups). second of all, i see where people see some "femboys" in anime as tras girl, its based like u do u boo. bu i think aspect of the femboy/trap trope are relatable to transmasc ppl too. for 1, there is literally NO transmasc anime. do not come at me with the guy in wandering son or that one mha character you know damn well thats not what i mean. in my quest for tboy rep i realized how much i realted to femboy characters. i too, constantly get mistaken for a girl and have the ability to embrace it or be upset about it. i will die on this hill but honestly cisgender 'trap' characters are better transmasc rep then any actual transmascs ive seen in anime just bc they are more interesting characters.

and to wrap it up, the other day i binge watched another. its incredible and one of the best examples of how horror should be done imo. it doesnt rely on jumpscares, its keeps you on the edge of your seat every episode. (also wonderful for angst purposes!!!(i have a thing for angst-))

so, heathers. the final scene. veronica is on the steps of the school, jd walks out with the bomb strapped to his torso, he blows up. there are two callbacks in this scene and one thing i want to draw attention to.

jd asks veronica 'pretend i did blow up the school. now that youre dead, what are you going to do with your life?' a callback to the lunchtime poll at the start of the movie: you win a million dollars in the sweepstakes just as aliens land on earth and say theyre gonna blow it up in three days. what do you do? (paraphrased).

in response to this question, veronica puts a cigarette in her mouth, reminiscent of the scene in the car after jd and veronica kill kurt and ram. veronica tries to light her cigarette, but burns herself in the process. jd then lights his cigarette on her burned palm. in this final scene, veronica is repaying the favour - lighting her cigarette on jds pain this time.

the last thing i want to talk about is the bomb specifically. jd strikes his little pose, like the jesus statue in rio(?) and we watch as the clock ticks down. and then it get stuck. in this moment, jd could untie the bomb and turn it off, saving himself and the car park he's standing in, but he doesnt. he hits the bomb until it starts again. jd doesnt want to live. he gets a second chance, but, as he says in the musical, he is far too damaged. he chooses not to save himself, and i think this is a really interesting part of his character.

okay so hes Kinda like jonah. in the way that hes been living for so goddamn long. but simon doesnt change bodies, just names. though i think hes only changed it once, that we know of? he was originally a painter, and painted the backgrounds for artists that only cared about painting people. the sky always captivated simon, felt like it was drawing him in, until one day, it finally did. simon became an avatar of the vast, and picked up the name simon fairchild about a hundred years or so before tma starts. his "family" are just other vast avatars he looks after and who have adopted the name fairchild. hes rich, like. most of the old guy avatars actually, and has numerous businesses that are just fronts for getting people to be Spooked so he can eat.

overall he is like. genuinely a fun and cool guy. and it doesnt help that his va is like. hkjgfkdlledf Good Lord. he canonically threatened to throw martin off a rollercoaster and because of that, martin wanted jon to kill him when jon got his special eyeball murder powers. jon didnt, mostly bc he couldnt catch him, buttt!! after the world was saved and things when back to normal and simon lost his powers, it was implied that a large crowd of people beat him to death!! yay!!! rip old queen u will be missed only by me tho.❤️

Danny just apologize to Damian, he didnt mind honestly and even if the big snake had attack him he wouldnt hurt it, Danny is just impresed by them and proced to intruduce themselfs and that was the blooming of a beutifull friendship yeah right since that day they started seeing eachother, Damian would bring many things to Danny for example: food made by Alfred (specially his cookies) or would bring books to Danny and they would do other things like Damian would play/take care of Danny snakes with him, and Danny would play with his hair or if Damian has time or has the day off he would stay until night (if Snake castle ever has time change-) and Danny would tell Damian all about the stars or space surrounded by snakes. Vesper was jealouse at first but grow font of Damian bc he takes care of Danny and my Ancients does that poor kid needs it One particular day Damian bring his art supplies and started painting everything of Snake castle but in particular he painted Danny, in many ways he showed Danny his drawing because he was curious abt what he was doing, and was so surprised and heartwarming by the beuty of the drawings that he started crying (blame hormones wtv) Damian was panicking but Danny stopped him saying something like "I never realize that someone would think so highly of me" Damian would simply watch Danny and thinking if he should kill someone but before that he comforts Danny maybe like "You are an exceptional person and if anyone doesnt apreciate him then they are not worthy of you" And they look like loverbirds The snakes meanwhile are like Snake 1: Should we do smt? Vesper: Nah let them realize their feelings for eachother in their time The "time" himslef: JUST KISS ALREDY Anyways back to the Batfamily They started noticing that Damian was acting.... weird nothing bad but weird like, the other day he returned to the manor and his hair was styled in a braid with flowers or that everytime he didnt have patrol or was free he would go somewhere and return with messier (in terms of clothes and hair) with flowers or something like hmm idk A SNAKE were did he get it??? (Danny gifted him one of his snakes, in particular a white one that would always trangle itself to Damian) but most importantly he always returned with an happy expresion They would get in the bottom of this (bc they are noisy bastars /j)

I hope I didnt bored you with this rant but i couldnt get over my head- now somethings i like to share: I think that Vesper can communicate with Danny, how? idk maybe CW did something Is Damian going to learn abt Ellie? maybe but perhaps in the future Wich of the Batfamily would discover Damian secret? Snake empress Danny

Ok let’s go, So you all know the drill Danny has to booket it out of amity ( GIW, Bad Fenton) and just for a bit more angst everyone who he loves ( Sam, Tucker, jazz) got caught up in the nasty burger explosion and the GIW hit Dani and as a last minute decision Danny has to grow her in himself and because he has the organs for baby incubation ( trans! Danny let’s go! ) so now we have a heavily traumatized teen who is going to be a teen mom and just loss his whole support system and everything he’s ever known yeah we going angsty today anyway so when Danny gets to the ghost zone he a immediately goes to clockwork to help him so after Danny gets healed up a bit and calm down the best he can right now and

now let’s move the pov for a sec so clockwork can’t really take care of Danny and he needs to fine someone who can that’s when he remembers the little pocket dimension that is a little bit hard to go to if your not looking for it so clockwork brings Danny there and on a cliff top there is a abandoned castle that is overgrown and has trees all around it and a healthy population of snakes that equally watch over the place and keeping outsiders OUT and do not tolerate people who are not a part of the …. Group, pack? Wtf do you call a group of snakes { ok so I just looked up what a group of snakes is called and apparently it’s called a den, pit or nest so I’ll be using that information} den and are very picky about who is in the nest and who isn’t but surprisingly the little danger noodles decide that Danny’s friend shaped and now his part of the nest ( also before I forget to mention there is a big ass snake that is the main protection for the others and the castle itself ) and he’s mostly doing things around with the snakes wrapped limply around his neck and shoulders or his arm and or legs they just like hanging around Danny for the most part

And for the JL side of this well you remember that this place is its own little pocket dimension well it is connected to the JL universe and it sorta feels like your in a Fea area not uncomfortable just different, it has a passage in Gotham City to a overgrown manhole cover so somehow Damien finds this manhole in the garden of Wayne manner and Bruce grounded ( aka benched ) him and Alfred is shopping and nobody’s home so it’s just him and he decides to go into the manhole cover it leeds down to a large tunnel so big it is a surprise nobody has found it yet so Damian walks down it for about 2 to 4 minutes before he sees another cover and has to use a lot of force to open it and as he climbs out he sees that it was overgrown to the point that the vines were wiring the thing shut and as Damien looks around he dust himself off he sees that he is in a large forest almost to large if this place was really Gotham than this would have been cut down years before it got like this so he walks around and than he gets to a lagoon it looks like no pollution got here as well that’s when he sees them a person the person has long white hair that looks to be in some kind of braid with silver chains and their wearing what seem like a bunch of white fabric at first glance but is you really look it seems to be a dress but that’s not what really brings his attention to this person it is the snake that are wrapped limply around them one black one that hangs off their shoulders and looks some what of a necklace and they are holding what seems to be a large black marble bowl ( the bowl is for some of the aquatic plants some birds ended up eating most of the aquatic plant and there are almost none left so he’s getting some from the lagoon) 

And that’s all for the moment. Now on to the details of this bitch!

The reason he wears this is because it’s easier to walk around in ( not to mention the moment the rest of the den realized he was with fetus Dani ( or Eleanor I like that name better for her it gives her a bit of her own personality instead of just Danny clone) the big snake who were going to call Vesper ( you get it ) started to carry him around and while sleeping he would wrap around him to keep him warm ok got a bit off track

And for his hair I’m thinking he lets it grow out a bit and the little danger noodles like to bring him bits and pieces of things they think he might like so he ends up with this

“it’s ok to ask for help” fits buckle best (the guy with the crow mask & braids) because he always has our backs. Also because he’s constantly oversharing his tragic backstory, which feels like a cry for help imo. I drew the time when clank (the cat guy) rolled really poorly and under seasoned the spaghetti we were making, bc buckle is Italian so. It fits

”you’re not a burden” is Reggie core to me and also to his player for backstory reasons. (It’s hard 2 tell with these sketchy drawings but he’s a fire genasi, so I try to draw his hair with little sparks of flame coming off of it) this drawing is him comforting a satyr npc (bounder) who ended up with a ghost in their brain and has been kind of ditched by their friends. It just rlly stuck out to me when he first decided to spend a lunch break with them, n I imagine bounder felt more like a person again bc of it

i was looking at steve’s official shield file (i think it was included in some box set for avengers 2012 or something to go along with that deleted scene of him in his apartment) and based off of the details about his education, i’m fairly certain bucky was a year ahead of him in school. steve was born in july of 1918 and graduated in probably may/june of 1936 when he would have been seventeen years old. having been born in march of 1917, at that point in time, bucky would have turned 19 months ago, which is typically too old for someone to still be in high school. sarah died in october of 1936, only a few months after steve graduated. steve didn’t start attending art school until the next year. i love reading between the lines, so if we’re going with the headcanon that steve and bucky moved in together after sarah’s funeral, it was probably because bucky either already had a place of his own or was saving up for one since he had been done with school for a while and likely had a full time job. i really doubt steve could have afforded to stay somewhere alone and pay for art school at the same time on top of working, so honestly him and bucky sharing a place seems to have a fair amount of canon details to back it up.

this line (and the rest of Kisaki’s words about intaking Mikey’s darkness) always rubbed me the wrong way. not that it was bad, just that it felt like it didn’t fit somehow.

and then i understood that it’s bc Kisaki is both right and wrong here. he’s correct that he’s a shadow, but he is absolutely not Mikey’s. no, he’s Takemichi’s.

(this has probably been said before, but anyways)

the relationship Kisaki has with Mikey, while needful, is nothing compared to the dynamic between him and Takemichi. Kisaki didn’t join and obsess over Toman for Mikey. he did it to be better than Takemichi and “win” Hinata. even with most of his plans revolving around Mikey, everything Kisaki does has never actually been about him, it’s always been about TakeHina and especially Takemichi.

Kisaki and Mikey don’t need each other at all. they were/could be big influences over one another, but it’s been proven since Tenjiku arc that they follow their paths regardless of the other being by their side or not. after getting kicked out, Kisaki just linked up with Izana. after Kisaki died, Mikey still goes down the same dark path he always did anyways just under a new name.

but you know who does need each other? Michi and Kisaki.

we have LITERALLY never seen Kisaki mourn or express hesitation towards any other characters but Takemichi. when Michi informs him that he kills Hinata in the future, Kisaki doesn’t even fucking blink. he just goes “damn that sucks :/ guess i gotta do better next time!” and takes it in stride. meanwhile, whenever faced with the possibility of killing Takemichi, he loses it one way or another. in the present/future, he cried when pointing the gun at Takemichi after just carelessly shooting Chifuyu. then in Tenjiku arc, Takemichi straight up goaded him into shooting him in the head, but again, Kisaki lost face and shot him in the foot instead.

and smthg similar applies to Takemichi. obviously he’s shown Emotions™️ towards other characters, but with the immense hate and murderous intent Takemichi eventually grows to have, him mourning Kisaki was definitely smthg. Takemichi himself can’t even understand it. he hated Kisaki so much, more than anybody else ever did and could probably ever understand, but he still couldnt help missing him after he was gone.

and this is bc they’re two sides of the same coin. people usually talk about their shared feelings for Hinata, but they’re similar and perfectly different in many other ways.

initially, both only joined Toman to use it to accomplish their goals. theyre also both relentless in what they do, to the point that they weird other people out with how determined they are. and they both played a role in triggering each other’s story. Kisaki would’ve never gotten involved with the world of delinquents had Takemichi not wanted to. Takemichi would’ve never even time traveled let alone needed to, if Kisaki hadn’t put that hit on him in the original timeline.

and they’re also different/parallels in the best ways. Kisaki only got Mikey’s attention by forcing his way in and then had to continuously prove his worth to stay (since Mikey never liked him from the start nor grew to). while Takemichi can’t help but draw Mikey’s attention when most of the time he never means to. Takemichi is also canonly a buffoon and can’t plan worth shit, but he gets info from the time leaps. Kisaki doesn’t have a superpower and has no idea what the future holds, but he’s able to cultivate an extensive 10 year plan and manipulate everyone around him bc of how smart he is.

i say all this to say, “I am the shadow you cast” fits Kisaki and Takemichi way more than it ever could Kisaki and Mikey.

“The moon doesn’t shine on its own.” / “And I’ll take on all that darkness so that you can shine!!”

Kisaki’s actions had the super ironic affect of giving Takemichi the best life he’s ever had. in Black Dragon arc, in not so many words, Takemichi basically says that even tho things may be messed up now, he would never choose to go back to his original life before bc of how much he hated it.

like it’s not at all what Kisaki meant to happen, but Takemichi was not actually a hero until Kisaki became his villain. a hero has no purpose without a villain and a villain has no purpose without a hero. which is why whenever the other is abt to die or after they’ve already died, the two mourn each other.

so no, Mikey and Kisaki don’t and have never needed each other. but Takemichi and Kisaki absolutely did. Takemichi is the light to Kisaki’s dark and vice versa. both determined to wipe each other out, but inevitably grieving the loss all the same.
