they were already incredibly suspicious to me, every last one of those supposed “professionals.” i think I’m more suspicious than I ever was now - somehow that was possible. I’m even more apprehensive, perhaps even fearful.
solidarity between people who want to take psychiatric meds to function and those who don’t.
What’s important is that we both have autonomy, informed consent and safe access to treatments we want, and to not be forced, coerced or pressured into those we don’t.
#yes yes yes#I feel so trapped right now - it seems I might be able to cancel the appointment and hopefully take nothing but if I’m unable to I think-#-that will be my final straw#horrifying for me. interacting with psychiatry at the age the body is at is traumatizing - traumatizing at any age though perhaps I’m being#-dramatic. I don’t think so though.#my experiences have been less than decent so far - for the most part#plus they tended to want me on medication out of simple stigmatized lenses#they were more concerned about the fact that I even experienced something such as supposed hallucinations (GASP) than my actual experiences#it’s difficult to word but I’ll speak more and hopefully organize my thoughts in a later post#psychiatry isn’t here to help it’s here to put everyone in a single file line - they mentioned me not being normal enough essentially#I’ll elduicate more in a later post#but I was forced and am being forced with the looming threat of long term hospitalization though I will hopefully be able to get out of it#that threat is now always hanging over my head#they forced me and it ended up fucking with a health condition I already have along with general side effects#the courts almost got involved while the impostor was trying to get me out of there because they didn’t want to release me#despite it being an unhelpful place just like every mental hospital. I feel even more ‘unsafe’ as they call it and tempted to run now.#I don’t trust the medicine I’m afraid of it and having threats held over my head it all felt sort of like mind rape - to be dramatic again#it doesn’t matter how much I express how afraid of them I am they don’t understand and I have other reasons besides my suspicion as to why#-I don’t wish to take them. the fact that the body can’t tolerate them for example. not wanting to be forced. the forcing makes me panic.#it’s mind rape. not to mention even despite the inability to tolerate he still wanted to try an antipsychotic down the line - which is not#going to happen. no medicine. I’m not trying anything. I’d be more open if there weren’t threats over my head and I weren’t being forced#but I don’t want any at all. I have my reasons - they want me to take it for medically induced suicide purposes as well - what I mentioned#earlier/ not being normal enough for their standards and being how they even on a subconscious level view me as a dirty schizo#who needs to be fixed so I don’t want them for that as well#I haven’t rambled about it much yet until now but it feels like mind rape to me even if that’s dramatic I don’t generally experience the#instinct to cry and still I cried multiple different times over this shit over being forcefully kept in a bad facility that wouldn’t even#give me my physical meds and did nothing for health conditions so the body dehydrated horribly and shit and some of the staff were pretty#rude too it was just a bad experience not as bad as lobotomy I know but I couldn’t stand it and being forced the threats all the threats#made sure to try and keep myself in check for that reason but the threats of long term if I wasn’t compliant enough I don’t want to be sent#away I want to be left alone I want freedom I want a break I want a hug (?) I want to be away from all impostors I want to disappear

arguing with arranged!gojo is difficult because he’s not used to arguing with women and you’re not used to arguing period.
it rarely happens, but when it does it gets really heated between the two of you. you pace around your room, huffing as gojo stands there with his arms crossed, nose flaring.
like that one time he found out that one of the new guards the brought in from the west was somebody you used to fool around with.
yeah that was bad.
“why do you even care!” you snap at him, and he can’t find a plausible reason aside from the fact that he was purely jealous.
this guard that they’d brought in from the west, much to your shock, was somebody you used to see in the late hours of the night. you never did anything frisky, just some shared kisses here and there.
but the moment you saw him, your whole demeanor changed. and gojo could tell. it took a bit of picking and prodding (which gojo is great at) but you eventually told him the story.
and he was not excited to hear it.
“i want him gone,” he tells you and you roll your eyes, shrugging indefinitely.
“fine,” you throw your arms up, “get him out. but what about those girls? you think i don’t want them gone whenever we walk into one of those balls or those dinners? when i see the way they look at you? you think that’s easy for me?”
“it’s different,” his tone is unwavering and cold.
you scoff, shaking your head in dismay.
“what? what’s so different? that i kissed him? big deal!” you feel like you want to cry and yell and jump and scream at the same time.
because it was different. for you. because the men didn’t seem to care that gojo had a new wife, or that he cared for her. but the ladies did. they gossiped in frenzied tones, batted their eyelashes at him even more as if that could cast him away from your spell.
so you didn’t know why he cared so much about this one man. why it should matter to him when he’s had far, far more experiences than you.
you felt hurt that he doubted you, angered with his hypocrisy, and tired from spending the entire day ignoring each other.
“this is going nowhere,” you mutter eventually, picking up your pillow as his eyes drop to your hands, “i’m sleeping somewhere else.”
“what-”
“and don’t follow me,” you bite out, not even glancing behind your shoulder as you begin to sulk out of your shared bedroom to your old one all across the estate.
and sure, maybe you’re not being entirely fair. there’s been some petty arguments when he bumps into one of his old girls, but it didn’t hurt nonetheless when he accused you of lying, when the conversation of your old romantic life was just never brought up.
you wipe at the stray tears on your cheek as you slug down the stairs, sniffling to yourself as you curse your husband to hell and back, when a force unlike any other picks you up from behind.
“what?” you squeal, your body manicured over a strong shoulder, your legs near his torso, your eyes facing his back as you kick at him, “let me go, i’m going to fall!”
“don’t make me laugh,” gojo murmured, one strong arm around your waist, the other around your thighs as he hauls you back up the stairs.
“i told you not to follow me,” you grumble, pinching his back but he doesn’t react.
“you’re funny if you think i’ll let you sleep alone.”
your brows furrow, feeling the need to kick him, but also not wanting him to drop you.
it doesn’t take long for him to reach your bedroom, opening the door with his free hand (unbridled strength if the greatest warrior of the north meant he could pick you up with just one hand) and plops you back on the mattress.
you prop yourself up on your elbows, looking away, hoping he can’t see the tear marks.
because it did hurt. his words hurt you. they cut deep. and he notices, his gaze softening slightly.
“don’t cry,” he whispers, leaning down to trace your tears away but you swat his hand off of your face.
“then don’t make me cry,” you say with a heavy sigh, siting upwards, back slightly hunched.
you take a deep breath, rubbing at your eyes as you glance upwards at him. it’s been a while since the two of you had fought, and the first time over something serious, and he looks awful.
“i don’t judge you for being with those girls,” you start with a heavy whisper, “you did what you could to stay sane. but don’t judge me for doing the same.”
gojo breathes deeply through his nose, blinking.
“you’re right,” he says after a heavy second, causing you too look up in confusion.
he nods again, his big hand cup your jaw, his thumb rubbing your cheek as he catches the stray tear from the corner of your eye.
“you’re right and i’m sorry,” he repeats, and you’ve never had somebody agree with you before, “i just…saw the way he looks at you and…i didn’t like it.”
you offer him a small nod.
“but he just looked at me,” you shift so that your resting on your haunches, hands in your lap. he towers over you, one hand going to cradle the back of your head.
gojo shrugs, like he can’t put it into comprehensible words how he felt when that guard looked at you with hunger in his eyes. how only he was allowed to look at you with such starvation.
“i didn’t like it,” he can only repeat, and you know he struggles with his emotions, spent years hiding them so that they wouldn’t become his weakness.
“do you want to sleep?” he finally asks you, and you slowly blink, trying to hide the tiredness from your face.
“i’ll still be here when you wake up,” he offers and you crack a small smile, trying to hide it from him.
but your smile drops as you think, eyes darting up to his.
“it’s okay to not like something, and it’s okay to feel angry that you don’t. but don’t ever, ever, make me feel like that again because of it.”
your stare is unwavering, and he feels a certain sense of pride in seeing that. and gojo nods, one steady movement as he drops down to his knees, trying to be level with your gaze.
“you have my full authority to strike me down if i do,” he promises, his hands cupping your face, his words serious but you can’t help but giggle.
“good,” you murmur, tugging slightly harshly on some of the strands of his hair as he winces, pushing you back onto the bed with the sheer force of his body, climbing up into you as he hold you close to him.
you let out another laugh as he acts like a bear cub, not wanting to move an inch away from your warmth as he cuddles into you, trying to finish his massive size compared to you.
the two of you laid in silence, a comfortable one, as he laid his head in your chest, hearing the steady rhythm of your heart.
“i am sorry,” he whispers, craning his neck to look up at you as he rests his chin on your sternum, “i’m sorry.” he says again, his words barely above a sound.
you blink again, moving some of the hair away from his face as you observe his sorrowful features.
“i know,” you whisper back.
gojo finds your hands, interweaving your fingers together, heart tugging when he feels your ring against his skin.
he brings the finger to his lips, pressing a soft kiss against the ring as you watch him silently. no other words needed to be said, no words left unspoken as he pulls you into his chest.
because no woman would amount to a sliver of you. and no man would amount to a morsel of him.

a favour from college!sukuna for teaching yuuji about female private parts? deal!
college!sukuna masterlist
Your house keys dingle from your pointer finger while you get your shoes off on your front door porch.
“Hello, I’m ho- what are you doing?” You stop walking, seeing a distraught Sukuna.
“The time has come,” he tells you gravely, not looking up. His hair is a mess and his eye bags are darker than usual.
“What time?” You ask confused, pit patting toward the kitchen to make yourself a hot chocolate. You ponder for a moment with the cabinet doors open, thinking about whether to make him one too or not, finally shrugging and deciding on picking up his cup.
“You know. That time. Yuuji. At school,” he deadpans, breathing hard between words.
“What are you even talking about?” You respond, still not grabbing the concept, swirling a spoon in both cups. You just get a grunt that sounds awfully close to a whine from Sukuna. That’s such odd behaviour from him.
“Are you going to faint? Do you have a fever?” You say, now worried, reaching his still crouching form. You gently lift his face with one hand, putting the other one on his forehead. The way he lets you do it, compliantly and so naturally, worries you even more. He just stares at you, a little frown between his eyebrows, eyes a little bit lucid and he almost looks… he almost looks cute.
“You’re alright, big guy,” you softly say, booping his nose, getting your hands off of his face and hurrying back to your hot chocolate cups. He is definitely in a moment, because usually he would've bitten your whole finger off. He wrinkles his nose, scowling, before apparently realizing something and hastily getting up. He grabs your wrist and spins you around, but the strength he does it with whips you around so suddenly that you bump into his chest quite hard.
“What?!”
“You do it,” he tells you, crazy eyes wide open. He puts his rough hands on both your shoulders, stabilizing you, keeping you close enough to be able to talk to you properly but not far enough you can get away.
“What the fuck do I have to do now?” You bark, trying to wriggle out of his hold, unsuccessfully.
“Teach Yuuji about your sex parts, I’ll teach him about mine,” he rushes out, pleading eyes turned on your face.
You gape up at him, stopping your movements, and you stay like that for what feels like an eternity. You raise an eyebrow, as if asking him if he’s serious, but his expression doesn’t change. A snort comes out of your throat.
“You mean to tell me you’re fussing about having to talk about vaginas?” You ask him, now full on laughing in his face. He pushes you a bit, releasing you and grumbling.
“I’m not doing it,” he tells you, crossing his arms. “I don’t even know where to start! He came home asking me where the fuck the urethra is in females and I crashed out,” he shakes his head, distraught, your laugh still ringing in his ears.
“Do you even know the answer to that?” You smirk, turning around to put some whipped cream on your hot chocolate, and giving him his cup (no whipped cream: it's "too unhealthy" for him).
“Want me to point it out on your pussy, baby?” He scoffs, taking one big gulp of his drink.
You gasp, punching him in the stomach. He doesn’t budge and his smirk widens.
“You’re so crude. That’s it, I’m not doing it,” you tell him, walking past him, trying to contain your laugh about how his face drops immediately.
“No, wait- baby, you know I was joking,” he complains, following you toward the couch. Like a lost kitten following its owner when it hears the sound of croquettes.
“Why can’t you do it yourself anyway?” You chuckle. “Are you afraid of vaginas?”
“I wouldn’t be afraid of yours, that’s for sure,” he says, alluring, giving you a once over while you sit. He licks up a drop of chocolate left on his lower lip.
You scoff again. "Boo, bitch."
He tries a different approach. “You’re smarter than me on the subject, you’d be better than me anyway,” The act of complimenting someone is taking a toll on him. He grits his teeth.
“What am I getting out of this?” You grin, getting whipped cream on your nose and crossing your legs.
“Whatever you want, baby. Please, come on,” he crouches in front of you. “I even said please, see? You complained about it last week and I listened,” he croaks, clicking his tongue on his palate. Being nice is harder than he thought. If he has to keep it up he’s going to have a heart attack, he thinks.
“Yeah, because you want something out of it. It doesn’t count,” you sigh, closing your eyes. He shrugs. “But I’m in. I’m helping Yuuji on the big bad wolf his brother is scared of and you’re doing me a favor. Deal?”
“I’ll always deal with you, baby,” he winks. He leans over you, swiping the tip of your nose with his thumb, proceeding then to put his finger in his mouth.
“Stop with the double entendres!”
"Why don't you do this color?" asks Yuuji, next to you. There are 3 different shades of pink nail polish in front of you, and you've been thinking of which one to use on your nails for the past 10 minutes.
"I don't know, isn't it a little bit too pink-brownish?" you respond, tilting your head, pondering.
"Then this one. It matches my hair, so we could be matching!" the little kid says excitedly. Then he turns to look at you properly, the tip of his ears turning a deep red. "Only if you want, though," he continues, shily, averting your gaze after uttering the words.
Your heart squeezes painfully. "Of course I want to, Yuuji. I think that's the prettiest color out of the three," you say, ruffling his hair sweetily.
"Can you not stink the whole fucking place?" grumbles Sukuna entering the living room, grimace present on his face, barely nodding at Yuuji's wave.
"It's just a bit of nail polish, Itadori," you roll your eyes.
"I don't even know why you bother with that," he scoffs, going toward the couch, grabbing the tv remote.
"Because I'm pretty and I'm not a hater like someone else in this room," you throw back, scowling. He stays silent. "What, you don't think I'm pretty?" you ask, baffled. Sukuna side-eyes you, raising one eyebrow, before turning his gaze back to the tv.
"I think you're the prettiest," answers Yuuji in his brother's place, smiling.
"I can always count on you, Yuu," you coo, hugging him tight, and he chuckles, happy. Sukuna makes a weird sound, like he's actually disgusted about the topic.
"You know what? You're going to get some nail polish too," you say, pointing an accusatory finger in the oldest direction.
"Hell no," he immediately answers, glaring your way.
"Uhm, hell yes," you sneer.
"I said no, woman."
A light bulb figuratively pops up next to your face, and you grin, getting up and around the table to face him better. "Matter of fact, Sukuna, you owe me, so you'll do what I say."
He snaps his head toward you. "You wouldn't dare."
"Get your ass over here, big boy, you're getting your nails painted," you sing-song, doing a come here motion with your index finger. You see his jaw tick incredibly hard from where you stand, and he begrudgingly reaches you with his fists clenched.
"I hate you, bitch," he seethes when he's right in front of you.
"Can I get it too?!" screams Yuuji, bouncing up and down.
"Done," you say, delicately putting Sukuna's left hand on the table. After arguing for 15 minutes on the color, he only agreed to let you paint his nails black. If it was for you, he'd have at least 5 different colors on them. He hums.
"It's not that bad, is it?" you ask, wiggling your eyebrows. "I think I did a pretty good job. Black fits your hands really well," you ramble on, applying hand cream on his rough finger pads. Actually fucking training will do that to you, he barked when you complained about his callouses a few minutes ago.
"Stop acting like I'm one of your girls," sighs your roommate, shaking his pink roots.
"You're my main girl, Sukuna," you smirk, sending him a flying kiss.
He gags. "Never say that shit again or I'm pulling out your vocal chords with my new freshly done nails," he says, mocking you in the last part of the sentence, tilting his voice incredibly high.
"Ohhh. You actually like them, huh," you respond, seeing through his bluff, smiling with your full teeth on display. He scoffs, looking over at his now black nails. He has to admit, you did your thing with them.
"Like is a strong word."
"So, you... love them?"
"Shut up."

Everyone thank @harvestandhearth for this ^^
Heads up, i’m going with intersex danny as ectoplasm exposure and presumed afab until he was able to clarify which gender he was (toddler) and chose his own name as Danny for this. Tim is still a nicu baby, and the two were presumed fraternal twins until a lot later.
And possible trigger warning, while not in Danny’s POV talking about what vlad did with the clones does trigger an episode to a degree, but this is all third POV with it being others’ observing Danny trying to ground himself after a stressor triggered something.
And as a personal headcannon, since Danny can turn parts of himself intangible, a nervous stim for him when he cant remove himself and go where he feels safe is to pull at his arteries or nerves—never managing it but passing through them as a target is soothing as its a tiny challenge, repetitive, and doesn’t hurt him but he can feel it happening so it helps ground himself after a trigger.
Timothy Jackson Drake nee Fenton pt2
Cyborg had two options with the news Red Robin and Phantom were twins: update the League files and let the paranoid bastards monitoring them find out that way, or telling them.
He did have a front row seat to the Dick and Kori’s disaster era many of them blame Dick for.
He updates Phantom and Red Robin’s files, links them as “twins raised apart geographically, and very attached emotionally” and let the cards fall where they may.
If Dick wanted to bring drama to the titans way back when, he can discover batfam drama on bis own time and away from Cyborg this time.
—
Tim was getting ready for patrol after his Call with Jazz and Dani. Danny crashed his pre-patrol routine to looking over possible redesigns from ghost fashionistas on a call.
The hooded cloak concept is popular and growing on Tim.
Apparently giving him a dragon as his callsign was also popular.
He was liking some of redesigns as different birds. Rook’s and Cardinal having a functional glider built in. Someone with the call mabychan didnt go too far off his current look, and it was possible to add the flight functions. The aesthetic addition of gold or yellow onto the suit proper rather than just his gear was interesting enough to explore later.
Danny continued to advocate for Tim playing with ecto-infused tech to be less trackable and was ignoring the very fact ecto signatures are very trackable and are transferable to people.
He was debating the winged cape-hood combo when his work phone kept going off.
“So, cutting this early again?”
“They can wait. Now, do you think maby could mix the hood and wing cape into her design? Like, my hair is wrong but it’s not far off from what i was going for, i think these two,” Tim grabbed his favorite Rook and Cardinal designs and lifted them to show Danny, “are a good reference for how i want the glider part to work.”
“I’ll contact her and see what she says,” Danny raised an eyebrow as his work phone began to flash red as it kept going off. “You gonna answer that or…”
“They’ll live, i’m not on the clock yet, and they interrupted my cases so many times this week with these stupid team building exercises. Like, hoe, i have a life outside of my two jobs, shut the fuck up and let me live!”
“You sure they aren’t a johnny-skulker hybrid?”
“Positive. They don’t hunt me for my pelt. Most of the time—Hood and mini Robin might if they have a mental break again.”
“Why have i not kidnapped you home sooner?”
“You respect my boundaries and are eviler for doing so.”
“Clearly, my evil-self solo-ed the Justice League and affiliates.”
“I’m still certain if i was alive, i would have beat evil you’s ass.”
“Dipshit, i would not have gone evil i would be a shaky chihuahua following your ass everywhere if any of my idiots didnt die in that accident.”
“Fair. So, i get Val, Anita, bart, Kon will try but he may run late with chores at the Kent’s, Cassie is coming, and against the odds you get to face an olympic archer too!”
“Oh my god, you guys could stand a chance if Dad’s aim doesn’t obliterate your points. How did you get Cissie to agree?”
“I told her Greta’s on your team and reminded her they were still tied for who was winning a bet way back when. Then called her a dick for deserting us in our time of need.”
“At least i don’t have to worry Slobo.”
“He’s on kiddo duty while we play.”
“So strategic sabotage.”
“You know me so well.”
“Evil, evil bastard brother!”
“Don’t talk about our mom like that.”
“I was talking about Aunt Janet.”
“Never mind, carry on.”
“Nah, but your phone is annoying me so—“ Danny shifted and Phantom burst out of his screen. “Ancients that sucked!”
Tim rolled his eyes as Danny bemoaned his latest fire walls.
“Use real fire ants next time, Ancients Damnit!”
“No.”
Danny snagged his phone as he reloaded his smoke pellets. “Now what does—holy shit. Did you not tell them you’re co-workers?”
“It was obvious—why do they think I turned down the family dinner invites unless Steph was there? I need bestie backup to handle their shit off hours.”
“Oh my god, you didn’t. They think you’re a Bat when you’re a fucking Fenton. Holy shit!”
“I never hid it,” Tim defended, “They’re detectives, they dan detect.”
Danny began wheezing, curled around the phone and cackling.
“…did B send anything yet?”
Danny shakily passed the phone. Tim ignored the group chat and looked to his private one with Bruce and Alfred.
“Cave. Now.”
“I was unaware of your living relatives Master Timothy. Do invite them over, we have much to discuss. From, Alfred Pennyworth”
Tim groaned, moving to put the last of gear in place.
“I was invited by your co-parent, I’m coming.”
“Chaos gremlin.” He waved Danny to follow him into the elevator, away from his (relatively) civilian quarters.
“You say that like you aren’t one too.”
“I hide it better, when it matters,” Tim shrugged. “Blame Aunt Janet’s social chameleon lessons.”
“Deceiver of all,” Danny narrated with the utmost dramatics as they exited the elevator. “be evil with your whole chest or be the Good Twin!”
“Fuck that. Now get your ass in gear, you’re riding Bitch.”
“Hey, if guys at school are going to keep calling me Fentonia, I believe I can say you gotta stop calling it that. Clearly I’m the tagalong and a snack.”
“Nope,” Tim readied Red Bird. “You smell like a bitch and look like shit. Why Val likes you, the world may never know.”
“Fuck you. And we share a face!” Danny got on behind him, ignoring the offered helmet.
“I wear it better and dont have baby fat. Safety first lab accident.”
“You look like that brainless dipshit from Oz, but boned,” Danny snapped as he put on the helmet and waiting for Tim to go.
“At least when I crossdress, it’s not a question of which gender I’m presenting as,” Tim grumbled as they sped out.
“Eat a cock, you know they thought i was a girl for a year.”
“I mean—“ Tim took a sharp turn out of the garage and merged into Gotham’s traffic .
“Abort, no sex stories from my twin this early—.”
“It’s 9 at night mostly ghostly.”
“—And did you forget i ate your fraternal twin in the womb and we became identical in a case of severe Gray’s Anatomy BS?”
“Look, the Nicu was A Lot, and with how much medical mystery shit our family has going on, can you blame me?”
“Yep. Medical mystery, magical mystery, family curse and Fenton Luck must be kept
Separate big brother, or are you getting sennial in your old age?”
“Fuck off.”
“And once again, your 9 pm is my 4 am. I’m a witching hour girlie, Reddicus Robininous.” Danny snarked as they sped outside of Gotham City proper into the Rich Bitch greenery and woods.
“I blame Pix,” Tim groaned.
“Beanie taught me that!”
“But Pix taught you to say it.”
“She did, she did.”
The ride to the Cave was quiet, Danny frowning at the lack of stars.
“Leave it.”
“But i can probably pull it out of the atmosphere.”
“And put it where?”
“… my chest?”
“Nope, no self experimentation without scientist supervision.”
“Don’t you count?”
“I am a detective, combatant, chemist and hacker. I am not a scientist.”
“Sounds fake.”
“You’re fake.”
“I’m ghostly, and a member of the cloned kids club.”
“You ate my twin in the womb.”
“So i get to be evil!”
“No. I’m evil; I’m a ceo and help a lot of coverups as a vigilante for other vigilantes and a handful of anti-heroes.”
“Evil me took out your not-son and his friends!” Danny argued.
“Please, three separate evil me’s managed that, and came back to gloat.”
“Well, those three ceased to exist or evil last i checked. My evil me’s in therapy and still murdery.”
“I know—how’s Dan doing and are we going with older brother cover or cousin like Dani?”
“His call, and he’s… unpacking still.”
“Eh-hem,” Alfred interrupted as Tim parked Red Bird. “I believe we need to have a family meeting are your other family members joining, excusing this Dan?”
“No, they don’t know this is happening,” Tim answered.
“That,” Danny looked around at the… trophy wing(?) of the cave. “Aannnd Jazz would enjoy psychoanalyzing you all too much. So, is this a ‘check all the info for verification cautionary tale’ or something else?” He asked as he turned his attention back to the bat-butler. Batler(?)
“Something else, Master Daniel.”
“Just Danny. I chose it, I get to keep it in all contexts.”
Alfred moved to open his mouth.
“Only one to not call him that made him an unwilling teen parent,” Tim interjected before Alfred could start up on formalities.
Alfred narrowed his eyes. “Has this individual been taken care of?”
Tim and Danny shared a look. “Working on it,” Tim answered, rubbing the inside of Danny wrist before he could start tugging his arteries or nerves as a stress stim.
Alfred looked between them. “Anything else i should be aware of Master Danny?”
“Just keep toast away from me, and I’m not a solid foods person—can do solid food in shake form just uh, jaw tends to freeze and lock at random since my powers came in.”
Alfred hummed in response to that. “Soft solids are acceptable, yes?”
Danny slowly nodded his head, and moved his hand to the thermos on his hip.
Tim squarely kept Danny on the side he could better block the cameras from as they followed Alfred up.
“I made a batch of chocolate salted caramel chip oatmeal cookies. I will bring you a more drinkable version of the batter with a strawberry smoothie on the side. Master Tim, your usual will be beside your serving.”
Tim grunted in response, checking his phone and keeping a steady hand on his twin’s pulse. Which was far too fast for Danny’s normal… trying to appease Tim’s co-workers by masking the liminality, or stress response to casually outing himself or to Tim dropping the Vlad forced cloning thing (Tim’s helped him with so, so many nightmares of watching his clones die. The fact one was identical to Rim didn’t help. Tim being present and alive did).
Danny smiled at him. Mask smile—so hiding Phantom’s impact or ignoring the trauma trigger he pulled. Yep, Tim is winning the evil twin contest for the wrong reasons again.
Alfred turned to see Tim analyzing his twin, who was more flushed in his face than before… he’d have to inform the Wayne clan to gentle their interrogation regarding Master Danny’s existence. Master Tim’s explanation helped explain the name situation, however it could have been done without triggering the poor boy. Had Master Tim given him a moment, he would have found the explanation unnecessary.
The twins stalled at the threshold of the meeting room.
Tim waved at Stephanie, Cass and Barbra sitting in the same general area together as he moved further in front of Danny and switched which hand was grounding him and monitoring his pulse. Stephanie was gleeful to say the least, Cass unfazed and Barbra giving him a too knowing wave back.
Dick was sitting between Damian and Bruce, the three dissecting every move Tim and Danny made. Tim made sure to shield him as much as he could from the imminent psychological warfare Bruce was planning. Damian would likely aim for any potential insecurity once he got too aggravated with everything, and was likely to say something that could set off Danny. He only really went through his firewalls instead of waiting for Tim to let him in when he was having a particularly nasty day and needed some twin time.
Tim couldn’t fathom what Dick’s plan was. The one he saw as his found older brother would laugh at him managing to fool everyone one on a loophole and tell him how to further the ruse. But the one who took up the cowl was different from the brother that mentored him and helped with everything from girls, leading a team and homework.
Duke and Jason were to the side. Jason looked morbidly amused while Duke seemed curious, so no worries on that end for Danny. Operation: ‘air out Batcorp’s laundry if they start shit’ was a go.
—
Okay next round i will want an idea of how you want batfam members to respond to the fact Tim ‘hid’ his family from them—as that’s how these chuckleheads are entering this meeting.
Tim’s got receipts and Danny is there mostly to divide Tim’s attention and watch the show.
Tim Drake’s Coworkers (ft. The Fenton Family)
It’s not that Tim doesn’t like the Batfamily. He tolerates them just fine. Damian is great for sparring (if you like sparring with a tiny murder machine), and Jason’s brand of dark humor isn’t too bad once you get used to it. Dick’s a bit too much sometimes, but overall? Fine. Totally fine.
But the thing is… they’re just his coworkers.
And it never really clicks for the Bats until Danny Phantom joins the Justice League and everything starts unraveling.
———
The revelation comes during a League meeting. They’re strategizing about some ghost-related chaos, and Danny floats into the Watchtower, bright and glowing.
“Oh, hey, Tim,” Danny greets casually, giving him a little wave.
Tim doesn’t even look up from his tablet. “Sup.”
Superman looks between them, confused. “…you two know each other?”
Danny grins. “yeah, he’s my brother.”
Dead silence.
“WHAT?!” Bruce’s bellow shakes the entire room.
Tim finally looks up, unfazed. “What? Did you think I just spawned into existence?”
“You have a brother?!” Clark sputters.
“Two siblings, actually,” Tim corrects, utterly nonchalant. “Danny’s the younger one. Jazz is the older one. She’s great. Super organized. Kept me alive in middle school.”
Bruce’s eye twitches. “Why—why am I only learning this now?”
Tim shrugs. “It didn’t seem relevant.”
“Relevant?” Diana repeats, incredulous. “You’re the brother of Danny Phantom and it’s not relevant?”
Danny, who’s been munching on some ectoplasm candy, jumps in: “Honestly, Tim’s always been kind of private about his personal life. We just figured it was his way of coping with the whole ‘raised-by-rich-neglectful-aunt’ thing.”
“Yeah, about that,” Tim interjects, glaring at Danny. “Thanks so much for dumping me with Aunt Janet, by the way.”
Danny shrugs sheepishly. “Mom and Dad panicked! They thought you’d get ghost-napped next!”
“Uh, correction: Aunt Janet left me to raise myself, so that plan was awesome.”
Bruce, trying to keep up, interrupts: “Hold on. Your parents left you with Janet Drake?”
“They didn’t know she sucked at raising kids,” Tim deadpans. “And to be fair, they did call. A lot. I just didn’t pick up.”
Jason, who has been cackling this entire time, leans forward. “Wait, wait, wait—so you’re telling me that the Replacement’s entire family is a bunch of ghost hunters?”
“Yup.” Danny pops the “p” with a grin.
“You’re kidding me,” Steph says, borderline hysterical.
Tim sighs, clearly over it. “Look, it’s not a big deal. Jazz keeps the parents in check, Danny handles the ghost stuff, and I… stay out of the way. It’s fine.”
“FINE?” Damian glares. “Drake, you’ve been fraternizing with ghost hunters while working with a vigilante group, and you think that’s fine?”
Tim raises an eyebrow. “Dami, chill. It’s not like it affects work. You’re my coworkers. They’re my family. Separate categories.”
Cue collective Batfamily malfunction.
———
Later, Danny is chilling in the Batcave, feet kicked up on the Batcomputer, chatting with Alfred. The rest of the Bats are still spiraling.
“Tim, we’ve lived together for years!” Dick exclaims, sounding genuinely hurt. “How are we only your coworkers?”
“You’re not my family,” Tim explains, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “Danny and Jazz are my family. You guys are my teammates. It’s different.”
Jason throws his head back, laughing. “Oh my god, Replacement, you’re stone cold.”
“I’m not cold,” Tim argues. “I just don’t think we need to make it more complicated than it is. We work together. That’s enough.”
Meanwhile, Danny is wiping tears of laughter off his face. “Oh man. Jazz is gonna love this.”

✶┈ GOOD GRIEF — FIYERO TIGELAAR
synopsis: fiyero seeks refuge from a rather dull event at Shiz, but you don’t find him charming, do you?
pairings: movie!fiyero tigelaar x gn!reader
warnings: nothing but fluff. relationship is… undefined? yeah, we’ll go with that. this is entirely going off the movie by the way. this was made on a whim and I had no idea where this was actually going, so be nice.
The room was alive with the sound of muffled chatter, the scrape of chairs on wood, and the faint clatter of cutlery. You stood at the far end of the hall, leaning against a tall window frame, fiddling idly with the stem of your glass. The evening sun painted the room in warm hues, but your peace was interrupted when you felt an unmistakable presence too close to your side.
“Ah, there you are,” Fiyero announced as if he’d been searching for hours, though he couldn’t have missed you. The room wasn’t that big. “I need your help. Immediate help. Dire circumstances.”
You arched an eyebrow. “Dire? What did you do this time?”
He stepped closer, his hands fluttering mid-air. “Absolutely nothing. Yet. Which is precisely the problem. I have no idea what they’re talking about at my table, but they keep looking at me as if I’m meant to contribute something… intellectual.”
You bit back a laugh, tucking it behind a smirk. “And you came to me because…?”
He tilted his head, feigning an innocent expression. “Because you’re clever. And you’ve got that look about you. People believe you when you talk.” His hand waved vaguely in the direction of your face, and his lips curled into a teasing grin. “You know, all… knowing and intimidating.”
You gave a dry laugh, shaking your head. “So, what? You want me to save you from the unbearable burden of conversation?”
“Exactly.” He stepped even closer, now entirely invading your space. He smelled faintly of warm spices and fresh air, like he’d been wandering outside before arriving. “Just say something about, I don’t know, books? Politics? Trees? I’ll nod along like I’ve had an epiphany, and they’ll think I’ve got layers.”
Your lips twitched. “You? Layers?”
“Rude.” He placed a hand dramatically over his heart, though his grin only widened. “I do have layers. You just need to dig. Maybe with a small shovel.”
You rolled your eyes, setting your glass down on the nearby table. “If I help you, will you stop hovering?”
“Am I hovering?” he asked, his voice drenched in mock confusion.
“Yes. Always.” You nudged him lightly in the chest with your hand, but he didn’t move back. Instead, he caught your wrist in his hand, a glint of mischief flickering in his eyes.
“See, that’s the problem with you,” he said, his thumb brushing against the inside of your wrist as if entirely unaware of the intimacy of the gesture. “You act all exasperated, but deep down, you like having me around. Admit it.”
“I will never admit that,” you shot back, yanking your wrist free, though your voice lacked conviction.
He laughed. a soft, rich sound that somehow made the world feel a little lighter. “That’s alright. I’ll stick around until you do.”
You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Fiyero, go back to your table before someone notices you’ve disappeared.”
“They probably think I’ve wandered off to study bark or something,” he said, shrugging. Then, leaning in, close enough that you could see the specks of gold in his eyes, he added, “Which, honestly, sounds far more interesting than this dinner.” His eyes flickered to your lips, then back to your eyes, a slight smile tugging at his mouth.
He was very close now, so close that you could feel the heat of him, his breath just barely brushing your skin. You weren’t sure if you wanted to look away or stay right where you are. And for a moment, you almost asked him what he meant. But before you could, he leaned back and straightened. Now fully smiling like knew exactly what he was doing and grabbed the glass you’d abandoned moments ago.
"Anyway," he said casually, “I’m stealing this,” raising it as if to toast you. “Because you’ve left me no choice.”
You blinked, lips parted slightly in disbelief and amusement, your hands unconsciously lifting as if to gesture at the entire situation.
“Unbelievable,” you muttered, watching as he sauntered back to his table, moving through chairs with a lack of spatial awareness that made several people flinch and move their drinks out of harm’s way.
Just before he sat down, he turned and shot you a lopsided grin, raising your glass in a silent, triumphant toast.
And against your better judgment, you found yourself smiling back.

"Human nature is something fickle," The words left Chrollo’s mouth, and they weren't pretty and charming as he always presented them. He was far too pissed off to care how he was presenting himself to you. Right here and now, he wasn't a gentleman, a well-mannered man who liked to read and discuss.
Looking at him now, he was the Phantom Troupe's leader. A killer and a monster. Your heart was beating louder at each step he took in your direction. It was a dangerous symphony, a requiem you weren't fond of. Yet, he seemed amused, fond of it, even.
"They lie, betray and kill," He kneeled in front of you, and while you tried to put distance between both of you, trying to crawl away, Chrollo pulled you back to him by your neck, his nails digging into your soft skin, making you whimper. 'You did all three of them in the span of two hours, darling. You lied to me,"
He chuckled. You weren't sure what he thought that was funny. You didn't want to know, you were far too afraid to move or talk to even think about what would he consider fun. Chrollo is a strange man, always were, always will be.
No... not man.
He was something else. Him and his little family. All murderers, all bad people.
He caressed your face in a tender way. The same way he used to when he first fell for you; the tears started to fall from your eyes at that. Whether it was because you really thought you could have escaped him or because you didn't want to know what he was going to do to you now.
"You betrayed my trust in you," He muttered, nuzzling his face against your neck, his hand still holding it, depriving you of breathing as he exhaled. "You betrayed my troupe's trust. And trust is something important for us. We have our backs, we're family, and when you lied to me, you lied to them."
"I didn't kill anyone..." You struggled to say, your last defiance slowly disappearing as you held onto his hand, trying to escape his grip, but it was impossible. "I'm... not like you."
Chrollo’s grip tightened slightly, his lips brushing against your ear as he let out a low chuckle. "Oh, my dear," he murmured, his voice dangerously soft. "Not like me? Perhaps you think you're better, untainted. But isn’t it fascinating how far desperation can push someone? How quickly survival overrides morality?"
You flinched, the weight of his words pressing down on you like an iron cage. He pulled back just enough to look into your tear-streaked face, his thumb stroking your jaw in a mockery of comfort. "You may not have killed anyone," he continued, "but your actions led to consequences. If you understand what I'm saying."
You shook your head weakly, choking on your own breath. "I didn’t mean for this to happen," you whispered, your voice barely audible.
"But it did," Chrollo said sharply, his tone cutting through you like a blade. "And now, here we are. You thought you could run, thought you could escape me. Did you really believe I’d let you go so easily?"
His hand slid from your neck to your chin, tilting your face up so you couldn’t avoid his piercing gaze. "You’re mine," he said firmly, like a promise and a threat, his dark eyes gleaming with a possessive intensity that made your stomach churn. "You’ve always been mine, and no amount of running or lying will change that."
The air between you was suffocating, and despite your trembling, you mustered the courage to whisper, "What are you going to do to me?"
Chrollo smiled then, soft and almost kind, but it didn’t reach his eyes. His mask was back on his face. "What I’m going to do, my darling, is ensure you never feel the need to run from me again."
He leaned closer, pressing a kiss to your forehead as though to seal his promise. "I’ll remind you of your place, remind you of the bond we share. And by the time I’m done, you won’t dream of leaving me again. You’ll know where you belong."
The cold finality in his voice sent a shiver down your spine. As he pulled you into his arms, cradling you like a precious possession, you realized there was no escaping Chrollo Lucilfer — not now, not ever.

The Last Drop was alive with its usual chaos: drunken laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional fights breaking out in the far bootjs.
But your attention wasn’t on the noise or the dimly lit crowd. It was on Sevika.
She was sitting close, leaning back in her chair with that signature air of confidence, her metal arm draped casually over the back of the seat. In her other hand was a cigarette, the small ember casting a faint orange light across her sharp features.
She exhaled a steady puff of smoke, the scent sharp and familiar, and it curled around you in lazy tendrils. It made your eyes water ever so slightly.
“You’re staring,” she said, her tone amused as she raised an eyebrow at you.
You scoffed, crossing your arms. “I’m not staring. I’m observing.”
“Oh, yeah?” Sevika leaned forward, her smirk growing. “And what exactly are you observing?”
You rolled your eyes, trying to ignore the way her intense gaze made you feel nervous. “I don’t get how you can smoke so much without keeling over. Doesn’t it ever bother you?”
She laughed, low and rough, the sound sending a pleasant shiver down your spine. “Bother me? Nah. But I bet you wouldn’t last two seconds.”
Your nose wrinkled in response. “Not my thing.”
“Not yet,” she countered, her smirk widening as she took another slow drag. She exhaled deliberately, the smoke curling between you both as she leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a teasing murmur. “Maybe I’ll teach you.”
Your eyes narrowed, but your heart skipped a beat at the proximity. “And why would I want to learn?”
“Because,” Sevika said, shifting her chair closer so your knees almost touched. “You’re curious. Don’t lie.”
Before you could reply, she held the cigarette to her lips, taking another slow inhale. Then, in a move that was both unexpected and intimate, she leaned forward, cupping your chin gently with her metal fingers as her lips brushed against yours. You barely had time to react before she exhaled the smoke in your face, aiming for your mouth. Your eyes watered as it was too close to your face, curling into your senses. Her lips lingered int he same position, just enough to make your head spin.
You held back the urge to cough in her face, instead opting to wrinkle your face in discomfort.
The sensation was overwhelming. The warmth, smoke, and Sevika all at once. When she pulled back, you were left blinking, your breath caught in your throat.
“See?” she murmured, her smirk practically dripping with satisfaction. “Not so bad, is it?”
You coughed lightly, waving a hand in front of your face. “Not bad? You’re ridiculous.”
“Maybe,” she replied, leaning back in her chair, clearly pleased with herself. “But you didn’t pull away.”
You glared at her, though the heat rising to your cheeks betrayed you. “That doesn’t mean I liked it.”
“Sure it doesn’t,” Sevika said with a chuckle, her deep voice laced with amusement.
From that moment, it became a game for her. She seemed to delight in pushing your boundaries, finding excuses to involve her cigarettes in the most teasing, intimate ways. She’d hold one to your lips, her touch firm yet gentle, watching with a smug grin as you reluctantly took a hesitant puff under her watchful gaze.
“Relax,” she’d say, her tone low and enticing. “It’s just smoke. Breathe it in.”
On other occasions, when the two of you were caught up in the heat of the moment, she’d take it further. She’d inhale deeply, then pull you into a kiss that was deep and deliberate, the smoke transferring between you as her lips moved against yours. The combination of her intensity and the lingering taste of tobacco was dizzying, and you hated how much it made your heart race.
“You’re really enjoying this, aren’t you?” you accused one night, breathless after one of her smoky kisses, the smell of tobacco was the only thing you could recall.
Sevika smirked, her gaze heavy-lidded as she exhaled the remnants of her drag. “What can I say? Watching you squirm is the highlight of my day.”
Despite her teasing, there was an undeniable tenderness in the way she handled you. She was careful, always watching your reactions to make sure she wasn’t pushing too far. And when you’d finally had enough of her antics, you’d push the cigarette away with a grumble, only for her to chuckle and pull you into another kiss—this time free of smoke, just the warmth of her lips and the taste of her lingering grin.
Over time, you began to notice how much these moments meant to her. What started as playful teasing became something deeper—a way for her to connect with you in her own unique way.
It was in the way her hand would linger on your jaw, her thumb brushing your cheek as she held you close. It was in the rare softness of her gaze when you shared a laugh, her usual sharp edges melting into something almost vulnerable.
And it was in the way she’d murmur, after one of her teasing kisses, “You’re lucky I like you this much.”
“Lucky?” you’d reply, grinning as you leaned closer. “I think I’m the one putting up with you.”
Sevika would laugh, her lips curving into a rare, genuine smile as she pulled you against her once more. “Keep telling yourself that.”
And though you’d never admit it out loud, you were starting to think she might be right.

Transcript below the cut:
Atlas: Dawn. Dawn: I know. Atlas: You crossed so many lines. Dawn: I know, okay? I know.
Atlas: Why didn’t you come to me? We could’ve talked it through before you did anything. Dawn: I… I didn’t think you’d understand. Atlas: That’s fair. I’m not sure I do. Dawn: Exactly.
Atlas: So, help me understand then. Explain it to me. Dawn: [sighs] Getting married and having a baby… it brought up a lot of feelings I wasn’t prepared for. Atlas: What kind of feelings?
Dawn: Feelings about mom. I hated that she wasn’t there, that she wouldn’t want to be, that she doesn’t even know she has a granddaughter and probably never will. I was sad and I was angry, and some days I even missed her which really caught me off guard. I started to wish that she was there, that she’d realize the ways she failed us and show up wanting to make amends.
Atlas: Why didn’t you tell me any of this? Dawn: [shrugs] I didn’t want to admit it, kept telling myself that I was being silly, that I should stop clinging to this idea of a mother that I’ll never have. Atlas: What about Megan? I know she’s not your mom, but she loves you and she stepped in to help.
Dawn: I know. And I’m so grateful, I really am, but I couldn’t appreciate it at the time. Her being there almost made it more obvious what I was lacking, like it was being shoved in my face. This is going to sound so childish, but I didn’t want those things with her, I wanted them with my own mom, and I hated that I couldn’t have that. I became resentful, and then I felt guilty for not appreciating her.
Atlas: I had no idea.
Dawn: That’s because I didn’t want you to. I didn’t want anyone to. I thought if I told anyone, they’d think I was awful, so I kept it to myself, and it ate me up. And when Phoenix got that letter from his dad, it was like everything I wanted was being handed to him, and he wanted to just throw it away. I couldn’t let it go, and I let all that shit I’d been carrying cloud my judgement.
Atlas: Talk about shit timing. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been.
Dawn: Yeah. It was not my finest hour. Atlas: So, how are things now?
Dawn: They’re good. Phoenix spent a few days in Chestnut Ridge, got to meet his brother and talk things out with his dad. It was a struggle at first, but things are going well. He’s decided to give his dad a chance. He says it’s for Danny, because he wants to stay in touch with him, but I think it’s more than that.
Atlas: And you? How are you doing with everything? Dawn: Better. Li referred me to a therapist. I’ve only had one session so far, but I think it will be good for me. Atlas: That’s great. Li sounds like a good friend. Dawn: She is. I’m really glad I met her.
Dawn: So, what about you? You’re married now! Atlas: I know. Who would’ve thought? Dawn: Oh please. I always knew you two would get there eventually. Can’t say I’m not disappointed I didn’t get to be there for it, though. Atlas: I know, but we had to do it our way. And I’m really happy. Dawn: And I’m really happy for you. How is he doing, by the way?
Atlas: I don’t know. He’s struggling a bit. Hasn’t really been himself since we got home. Dawn: Losing Japer really hit him hard, didn’t it? Atlas: Yeah, it did. But I feel like there’s something more going on. Dawn: Like what?
Atlas: I’m not sure, but he’ll talk to me when he’s ready. He always does. Dawn: Ough, I wish I had your patience.

Nothing Ever After
Noah Sebastian x Reader x Vinny Mauro
Chapter Seventeen
masterlist
chapter warnings: alcohol, SMALL SMUT WARNING (through a flashback), reader singing just pretend, subtle foreshadowing through the songs...
this is just a fun and super silly filler chapter! bad omens want to keep their cool and mysterious reputation but ik these guys are lovers of fun, also i wrote this chapter when i was soo tired so reading this back honestly felt like a fever dream
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
The bar was pretty lively tonight, the constant hum of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter filled the air, along with a lingering smell of alcohol as you stood at the bar and ordered another margarita before asking Noah if he'd like another drink
“I’ll have a pepsi.” He smiled, looking up from his phone.
“One margarita and a pepsi…” The bartender nodded, adding it to Noah’s tab.
“I just told the guys we’re here, they're already on their way,” Noah mentioned, leaning against the bar as you waited for your drinks.
The two of you had already been here for about half an hour. It’s been nice to spend time with him away from the others and somewhere that isn’t a hotel room or empty tour bus.
“You sure it's okay for them to join us?"
“Yeah of course, I thought that was the plan anyway.” You smiled, glancing at your phone as you waited for the bartender to return with your drinks. You had been hoping for a text from Vinny, maybe an apology, but so far, nothing.
“So," Noah asked as you were given your drinks, "How was your weekend?"
“It was fine,” you said, putting your phone down on the bar, “Vinny’s parents were lovely, and I made sure I got plenty of pictures for them.”
“I didn’t know you and Vin were even that close,” Noah says, raising an eyebrow, “Wasn't it kind of weird?”
“Not at all, anyway his parents invited me, didn't they. Vinny and I are pretty good friends, I guess you just don’t see us around each other that often.” And you wonder why that is.
“Well, after seeing you two the other week I’d say he might have a crush on you,” Noah smirked, “I don’t blame him.”
You almost choked on your drink, holding back laughter.
“A crush? What are we, seven?” You scoffed, “I don’t see him like that at all, he's just a good friend.”
“Vinny please! Fuck, you’re the only thing on my mind when I’m with Noah, there's nothing between us… Not when this is all I think about!”
“Oh yeah?” He smirks, your words only egging him on as he lifts your legs over his shoulder, his cock hitting deeper than it ever had. He looked even more beautiful like this, the sweat beading on his forehead, the hair hanging over his eyes as he leaned down, his lips attaching to your neck, “I bet you wanna moan my name too… Oh what would he do if he ever found out you're my pretty whore, sweetheart.”
You tried to push away the thoughts that came flooding back from last night, you also tried to stop thinking about Vinny so much as you were with Noah tonight. Between the silence on the drive home and the way he spoke to you in his hotel room, you realised your feelings towards him probably weren't as reciprocated as you were led to believe.
“Hey it’s your birthday next month, right?” Noah asked, noticing how you had gone silent.
“Yep,” you smiled, “I’m not telling you the date though. I don’t want anyone making a fuss, and Bry knows how I’d feel if he ever told anyone.”
“Okay,” Noah chuckles, “I was just asking.”
“There you guys are!” You heard Folio before you spotted him, with Matt, Jolly, Nicholas and Bryan.
“So... When does karaoke start?” Jolly asked, clapping his hands together, noticing how nobody was singing yet.
“I’m pretty sure it’s already started-”
“Since when? You could’ve told me, Noah!” You gasped, smiling at Jolly as you took his hand, “Can we do a duet?”
“I thought you’d never ask!”
"We're gonna play 8-ball, we'll watch from over there!" Folio called out as you and Jolly walked up to the makeshift stage.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
“What’s the sense in sharing, this one and only life.” You sang into the microphone, getting caught up in the energy with a wide smile on your face as you looked over at Jolly, who was reading the words off of the screen.
“Ending up just another lost and only wife.” Jolly sang, “You count up the years.”
“And they will be filled with tears” You sang together.
“Love only breaks up to start over again!”
“You’ll get the baby, but you won’t have your man…” Jolly seemed to be a little off, you chuckled to yourself as you assumed he didn’t know the song too well.
“While he is busy loving every woman that he can… Uh huh!”
This was easily the most fun you’ve had the whole tour, as you were catching your breath you spot Matt leaving the guys and making his way over to the two of you, looking ready to join in.
“Young hearts run free! They’ll never be hung up, hung up like my man and me!” The three of you sang, Matt leaned towards you to share the mic, as s couple people in the bar cheered for all of you, and you saw Noah singing along with a grin on his face.
As you three continued to sing the rest of the song, you kept motioning for Noah to join in, or one of the other guys, but they all shook their head- even Folio which surprised you the most.
When the song ended, you noticed no one else was eager to get up next and sing, so you took a sip of your drink and promised the small "audience" an encore. You scanned the song list, hoping to pick one you knew Noah would join you in.
Then you saw it, the perfect song. You turned to Noah, watching his expression change as the music started.
“Come on, Noah!” you smiled, “Just this one?”
His smile was slow but inevitable, though he shook his head, looking down at the ground. Anyone watching would have thought he was a little embarrassed. A faint blush coloured his cheeks as you pouted, calling out again.
“Please!” You pleaded, “...Do it for Cher!”
Somehow, whatever you did managed to convince him and he said whispered something to Nicholas before slipping his phone in his pocket and began walking over to you. As he approached, you noticed how good he looked tonight, even in a simple pair of black joggers and a matching t-shirt. Maybe it was his hair, he’d clearly styled it differently tonight. It was growing out again, and you couldn’t help but hope he’d let it keep growing.
“No matter how hard I try… You keep pushing me aside and I can’t break through! There’s no talking to you…” You bobbed along to the music as you sang, a wide grin on your face as Noah picked up the other microphone.
“It’s so sad that you’re leaving,” he joined in, “It takes time to believe it, but after all is said and done, you’re gonna be the lonely one.”
“Do you believe in life after love.”
“I can feel something inside me say…”
“I really don’t think you’re strong enough!”
“Do you believe in life after love!”
Noah knew the song so much better than you, which didn’t surprise you at all. You thought back to the night by his pool when he told you about his love for Cher, explaining how a fan had gifted him the Cher shirt he wore all the time.
“I don’t need you anymore!” Noah sang, trying not to laugh.
“No, I don’t need you anymore!” You matched his energy, grinning.
After the song ended, you both bowed dramatically to the small handful of people in the bar who were enjoying the show you were putting on. You couldn’t help but smile contently as Noah threw his arm around your shoulder, walking back to the guys. You noticed Folio raised an eyebrow.
“Who knew you could sing like that?” Noah chuckled, taking a sip of his drink as you both sat down opposite the pool table, it was currently Ruffilo's turn.
“Yeah well compared to you-”
“Well, if you two are gonna keep flirting, me and Bryan want to see if they have 'don't stop believing'.” Folio announced with a grin.
“We're not-”
“It’s okay,” Noah patted your knee, “He’s not wrong is he.” He smirked, and you hid your smile as you took a sip of your drink, finishing yet another margarita.
"So, y/n," Bryan cleared his throat, "How was your weekend?"
"Why does everyone keep asking?" The words left your mouth quicker than you intended, sharper than you meant for them to be. "It was fine."
"Did something happen?" Jolly asked after a moment of silence, concern in his eyes as he noticed how the question clearly pissed you off.
It only pissed you off because it reminded you of him.
"Oh, no not at all!" You shake your head, "It was fun, I just, uh, everyone keeps asking me but I was just there to take pictures. I was working." You said, almost trying to convince yourself.
"What do you think about Vin?" Bryan asked, "I didn't realise you guys were even friends."
It was as if the guys all shared one single braincell between them.
"That's because I wasn't there as his friend, Bry," You were so thankful the only two of the guys who knew about your situation with Vinny weren't here at this moment, "I think he's a great guy, we're good friends but his parents specifically asked if I could come because they wanted a photographer."
"But, wait isn't his sister a-"
“Oh my God they’re really doing it,” Nicholas laughed, pointing over at Nick and Matt, “And they’ve only had one beer!”
“Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world! She took the midnight train going anywhere!” Folio sang and you tried to contain your laughter, he looked so happy to be up there, bless him.
“Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit… He took the midnight train going anywhere!” Matt sang, nodding his head as he read the lyrics off the screen.
You couldn’t help but crack up at Nick’s air guitaring, followed by the way Matt looked so passionately at him as they sang together.
However, your attention was drawn back as Noah’s phone started to ring. But, to your surprised, he took one look at the contact which happened to be ‘Toby (Sumerian)’ and he didn't hesitate as he flipped his phone over.
“Weren’t you supposed to answer that?” You asked, and he thought for a moment before shaking his head.
“No, not tonight,” he sneakily wrapped an arm around you as you felt his hand rest on your waist, “I’m here having a night off with my friends, with you.”
He kissed your forehead, and suddenly your cheeks were hot, a rush of warmth spread through you. It had been so long since you’d felt like this with Noah, so long since the Noah you’d fallen for had shown up. But tonight, it was like he had come back.
You noticed Nicholas giving you two the side eye, his lips curling up into a teasing smirk, but you chose to ignore this.
As Nick and Matt finished their song, you had an idea that you knew the guys would hate you for, but one which would be quite funny. You would need to sneak away from them- maybe pretend to go the bathroom. You wouldn't do it yet, you'd wait a little while first, maybe have a couple more drinks first.
"Wow," was all you could say as Matt and Folio returned, "We need your guys' vocals on the next album!"
"I've been saying that for years, y/n. They just won't listen." Folio sighed dramatically, "Anyone want another drink?"
"Please." You smiled, the rest of the guys shook their heads in response, their glasses still full.
You checked your phone again, still no text from Vinny. You wondered if you should text first, but held yourself back.
"So," you put your phone back down and look up at Noah, "What did you get up to whilst I was gone?"
"Not much..." He thinks for a moment, and you noticed he gave Bryan a look before saying, "Me and Matt went to the gym... Uh, yeah that's pretty much it."
You watched as Nick returned with drinks for him and yourself, placing yours down on the table before he sat down with his.
"Well, I went fishing and caught a..." Folio lost you as he began explaining the fish he caught, how he had never caught one of them before and how rare it is. You just smile and nodded your head, it was quite wholesome to hear him talk so passionately about his hobby.
"That's so cool!" You smiled, despite not understanding a word he said.
The guys all talked, and you occasionally joined in, but as you finished your drink you thought now would be the perfect time to execute your plan.
"I need to pee." You said to Noah, "Can you look after my stuff?"
"Of course." He smiled, and you got up from your seat and headed to the bathroom.
However, as you returned, instead of going back to the group, you made a beeline to the karaoke stage. A couple of young girls were belting out a song when you approached, and you patiently waited and cheered for them as they finished. As you searched for the next song, you could feel the anticipation building inside you, this was your moment.
You were almost certain they wouldn't have this song, and you were right, but you knew all the words so all you needed was the backing track and you were good to go.
As the music began to play out of the speaker, you felt the familiar rush of adrenaline mix with the alcohol in your veins, making you giddy with excitement. Your smile was wide, and you couldn’t suppress it as you picked up the mic. You glanced over at the guys, who had no idea what was coming. They were all busy talking, unaware that you were about to take them by surprise.
“I’m not afraid of the war I’ve come to wage against my sins…”
Their reactions were priceless. You couldn't contain your laughter as you saw the pure terror on Noah’s face, the way Folio's smile quickly faded, Ruffilo's eyes widening in fear and the way Matt, Bryan and Jolly all burst out laughing.
“I’m not okay… But I can try my best to just pretend, so will you wait me out? Or will you drown me out… So will you wait me out…" You began to really feel the music, bouncing up and down as you sang, "Or will you drown me out?! I can wait for you at the bottom! I can stay away if you want me- Noah what are you doing?” You giggle as he takes the microphone from you, cutting the music and beginning to lead you away from the stage.
“You’re drunk,” he chuckled, “C’mon it’s probably time we leave now.”
“But I didn’t thank them!” You pouted as he puts his hoodie that he brought with him over your head, letting you slip your arms in.
“Thank who?”
“My audience.”
“You mean the two old guys eyeing you up?”
“Exactly!” You giggled, feeling Noah’s arm wrap around you as he walked back to the guys.
“I think I’ll get y/n to bed and make sure she has some water. See you tomorrow guys.” He chuckles, collecting your things as you wave to the guys.
The group gave their goodbyes, and Noah led you out of the bar, his arm protectively wrapped around you as you stumbled slightly, leaning into him for support. The cool night air hit your face, and you smiled up at Noah, feeling an odd sense of calm settle over you.
“I’ve had a lot of fun tonight, Noah.” You tell him, holding onto his arm as you walk together.
“Yeah? Me too, I’ve actually been able to switch off from work for the night, and I don’t think I’ve done karaoke in about 10 years!”
“You do karaoke every other night on tour!” You laugh, “Have I ever told you how much I love your voice?”
“Uh…” Noah thinks, “No I don’t think so.”
“I fucking love your voice...” Your words slur as you mumble, “You’re unreal!”
“Well, thank you,” he grinned, clearly entertained by your drunken honesty. “And your rendition of Cher? It was... unique.”
“Hey we could be Sonny and Cher for halloween!”
“Really? I’d rather not spend my birthday with a moustache.”
“You’d look hot with a moustache!” You blurted out, without any hesitation.
“I’ll have to disagree with you there, angel.” He laughed.
“Yeah me too.... you always look fucking hot.”
Noah couldn’t help but chuckle at how open you were being right now, but they do say drunk words are sober thoughts.
“And you always look beautiful.”
Your steps faltered for a moment, and you suddenly stopped walking, catching his gaze under the streetlight. His words seemed to hang in the air between you.
“Really?”
“Why would I lie?” He says, “Y'know, you always look best in the morning when we have to rush you out of your room on to the bus, , the messy hair, old stained pjs, grandma slippers-”
“Bastard!” You smack his chest, “I value my comfort over anything, thank you.”
“And that's what I love about you y/n… You just don’t care. You’re real, and that’s something that’s so rare to come by these days. That's part of the reason why I gave up on dating," He confesses, "But then you came along again, I've always wanted to get to know you better since the time we first met, it was my idea for you to join us on this tour-”
“Really?” You ask once more, feeling a lump in the back of your throat at his words, “Noah I-”
“I wasn’t finished,” he chuckles, pressing a finger to your lips to silence you, “I was worried whilst you were away with Vin this weekend-”
“Fuck Vinny!” You spat out, the anger suddenly flaring up in your chest. But he shook his head, cutting you off.
“My point is,” he said, taking a deep breath, “I don’t want to hide anymore. If you think we have something real, I think we should give it a shot... I know I shouldn’t be telling you this now, because you’ll probably forget everything by the morning, but I can’t keep pretending like this. I don’t know how much longer I can go without you, y/n. I feel terrible about the way I’ve been acting lately. I never realise how much I hurt people until it’s too late, and you’re the last person I ever want to hurt.”
You were stunned, unable to find the words to respond. His sincerity hit you like a wave, and for a moment, the world around you seemed to disappear.
You suddenly reached up, pulling him down to your level, pressing your lips to his. The kiss was unexpected, but it felt right, and for a few seconds, the chaos of everything else faded away.
When you pulled away, your breath coming in shallow gasps, you suddenly turned, feeling a wave of nausea hit you.
“Y/n are you okay?” He asked, rubbing his hand on your back as you bent over.
“No… I think I’m gonna be sick…” You whispered, feeling his hands move to hold your hair back.
“Think you can wait until we get back to the hotel?” He asks softly.
“Maybe…” You breathe in and out slowly, “Just don’t make me walk too fast.”
That’s okay,” he chuckled, his arm steadying you. “Let’s go and get you to bed.”
"Yeah..."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
“C’mon,” Noah says as he pushes your door open, “Let’s get you ready for bed.”
“I’m so tired.” You mumble, sitting on the edge of your bed, barely able to keep your eyes open.
“I know, baby,” he murmurs, crouching down in front of you with a soft pout. He carefully slips your shoes off, his touch surprisingly tender. “But trust me, you’ll feel so much better in the morning if you let me take care of you tonight.”
“Okay…” You sigh, trying to keep your eyes open as he searches your room for your pyjamas.
“Can you dress yourself?” He asked, setting the tshirt and shorts down next to you on your bed.
“Can you help me?” You asked, picking the shirt up to find it’s inside out.
Noah smiles gently.
“Of course,” he says, taking the shirt from your hand and flipping it the right way around before helping you out of your clothes. His hands are steady and he remains respectful as he slips his fingers under the hem of your shirt, lifting it carefully. There’s a quiet intensity to the way he helps you, his gaze never straying from your face as he helps you step out of your jeans.
You don’t mind the intimacy of the moment. It felt strangely comforting.
When you’re in nothing but your underwear, he picks up the band t-shirt you’ve stolen from Bryan all those years ago. He pulls it over your head with a soft chuckle as you mutter nonsense.
Once you were dressed, he led you to the bathroom to wash your face and brush your teeth. You couldn’t help but giggle as he sat you on the toilet and tied your back, pumping some of your cleanser onto his hands and carefully massaging it into your face.
“Since when were you into skincare?” You smiled.
“...How’d you know?” He questions.
“You knew what the cleanser was for.” He chuckles as he runs a cloth under warm water and begins wiping it off your face.
“Maybe I like to take care of my skin too.”
“I love your skin.” You mumble, getting up and reaching for your toothbrush.
As you got into your bed, Noah grabbed a bottle of water from the mini bar and handed it to you, telling you to have at least three sips before going to sleep.
“Thank you, Noah.” You smile as you pulled the covers over you, getting comfy as you let your eyes shut.
“For what?” He chuckled, fixing a strand of hair that had fallen over your eyes.
“Tonight… It’s been fun…" You mumble as your eyes fall shut, "Even if you did have to look after me…”
“It’s not like I haven’t done it before, angel.” He smiled, noticing how peaceful you looked as you fell asleep, “Sweet dreams.”
As he moved to get up from his place beside you on your bed, he heard your phone vibrate from it’s place on the nightstand. He knew he shouldn’t, but he looked over anyway in case it was something important, but he furrowed his eyebrows as he looked and saw it was a text.
From Vinny?

"I love... Every... Part of you" - Gil-galad x Fem Reader
Y/n is feeling insecure, and Gil-galad makes her realize just how beautiful she truly is.
Angst + Fluff
Word Count: 677
My requests are always open, so feel free to message me if you have an idea! I'll write for any character from The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, or The Rings of Power!
Gil-galad walked down the hall of his palace, trying to find his wife Y/n since she hadn’t shown up for breakfast. She told him she would meet him downstairs, but after waiting thirty minutes, he knew something was up. It wasn’t like her to stand him up without warning, so he genuinely was worried about her.
When he got to the door, he noticed it was partially cracked open, allowing him to hear soft, muffled crying on the other side. He immediately entered the room, not sure what to expect because it wasn’t often Y/n cried.
She was sitting on the edge of the bed, her head in her hands, making Gil-galad unable to see her face. Y/n’s silken robes hung loosely around her body, showing that she hadn’t even bothered getting dressed for the day.
He immediately sat down beside her on the bed and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tightly against his body. Gil-galad sat there for a couple of moments in silence until her crying had ceased.
“Do you wish to tell me what happened? You don’t have to, but I know it’s good to get things off your chest if they’re bothering you,” he spoke, not wanting to pressure her, but at the same time, desperately wanting to know what was wrong.
Y/n lifted her head from her hands, exposing her tear-stained face. Gil-galad was surprised because her eyes appeared to be even more beautiful than ever, due to the fact the whites of her eyes had become red, making the color of the irises stand out more than ever.
“I-I tried to wear the dress you bought me a while back, but it was too small. Then I started to spiral when I realized how unappealing my body was when I looked in the mirror. I’ll never be pretty like the other female elves, I’m just an imperfect human.” Y/n said, tears bursting from her eyes once again as she turned away from Gil-galad ashamed.
His brows furrowed in confusion, wondering how she could think such things of herself. Not even a single time did he even remotely find Y/n to be unappealing. Gil-galad truly believed she was the most gorgeous individual to ever exist throughout the history of Middle Earth. One of the reasons why he loved her so much was because she was a human, every part of her was unique, something that he adored more than he could express.
Where she saw insecurities, he saw complete and utter beauty.
“Unappealing? I assure you, my love, you are nowhere near unappealing. I don’t want you ever thinking that about yourself. You are far from an imperfect human, quite frankly, you are the epitome of perfect.” Gil-galad replied with sadness laced in his words.
Words didn’t come out of her mouth, instead, she just nodded her head, looking at him once more. She bit her lip slightly, trying to hold back the tears that kept threatening to pour out.
“Darling, you know that I would never tell you anything other than the truth,” he reassured, his hands sliding down the silk robe from her body, making it fall onto the bed around her.
“I love,” he started, kissing the side of her jaw, and down her neck.
“Every,” he continued, his mouth trailing down the skin of her chest to her stomach, causing a small smile to appear on her face.
“Part of you,” he finished, his lips leaving her stomach and connecting to her mouth, deeply and comfortingly kissing her, showing her how much he cared for her.
Her hand cupped the side of his face, and his hands found her waist, swiftly pulling her body towards his, eliminating the space between them. He disconnected his lips from hers, and Y/n’s head fell back in pleasure.
“Now, have I convinced you of your beauty?” Gil-galad asked, raising one of his eyebrows with a small smirk.
“Almost, but I think you need to kiss me once more to make me believe,” Y/n joked, looking at him through her eyelashes.

˖⁺‧₊˚ ˚₊‧⁺˖✮-------------------✮˖⁺‧₊˚ ˚₊‧⁺˖
whisky and girls
you catch slash cheating, and he tries to make it up to you
warnings: angst, smut
a/n: i hope you like this!!! first time not writing for izzy 😛😛 thank you btw!! and hope the smuts ok, this is my first time writing fully fleshed out smut so i hope it isn’t awkward or anything 😣 ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 😇😇😇😇
“okay baby. i’ll see you later on. love you.” you said, hanging up the phone. your boyfriend slash had called you, letting you know that he wouldn’t be home til later since he was working on music with his bandmates. typically when he said that, he wasn’t back til at least one in the morning. with that in mind, you decided you go out to a bar with your friends.
it was already quite late; half nine on a saturday night. you started getting ready, excited to meet up with your friends. you did your makeup and then your hair. picking out an outfit was hard, but you eventually settled on something you hadn’t worn in a while. you slipped into your heels and made sure you looked good in the mirror before you headed out the door. it was pitch black by now, but the bar you and your friends had agreed to meet at wasn’t too far from you and slash’s shared apartment, so you were okay walking.
the cold air hit you, but you carried on. los angeles was lit up by the many street lights and neon signs. it was beautiful. you got to the bar pretty quickly. you went inside and ordered yourself your favourite drink, looking around for your friends. you couldn’t see them. they probably just weren’t here yet, which was understandable since you lived the closest. but something else caught your eye.
tucked away in a dark corner of the bar was all five members of guns n roses. steven, izzy, axl, duff and your boyfriend, slash. your boyfriend slash, who had a girl on his arm. your heart *sank.* what the fuck? he had said he was writing music with the boys.
the shock made you drop your drink, and it fell to the floor with a loud crash, glass shattering. the noise made everyone’s head turn, and slash locked eyes with you. you stood staring at him for a few seconds before bolting out the door. you began to walk home, tears flooding your eyes. as you were about halfway there, you heard your name be called.
there was slash, although he was a good bit down the pathway, shouting your name. he was drunk, and you could tell it from the way his speech was slurred. you turned back around, quickening your pace as best you could in your heels. he continued to call after you as you made your way back to the apartment.
you burst in through the door and went straight to the kitchen, pouring yourself a glass of the strongest whisky you owned. slash came in shortly afterwards, stumbling into the kitchen.
“baby, i-” he started, before you cut him off.
“i don’t wanna fucking hear it. get the fuck out of here.” you spat.
slash stumbled towards you, clearly plastered. you downed the last of the your whisky and went to get yourself some more. but not before slash wrapped his arms around your waist, a drunken effort to redeem himself. he babbled into your back about how he was “so sorry” and that he’ll “never do something like that again”. of course, you weren’t having it. you pulled yourself away from him and poured another glass for yourself. it was lukewarm and neat, but you didn’t care. the anger you felt neutralised the bitter taste of the alcohol. fuck your low tolerance.
“baby… i’m so- i’m so sorry… lemme make it up to you.” your boyfriend said through hiccups.
“and how will you do that?” you snapped.
“lemme… make you feel good. please…” slash said, stumbling over his words. he was so drunk. but you were too, with the effects of the whisky starting to run its course.
you sighed, and slash took this as a yes. he walked over to you, hands roaming up and down your body as he started to kiss you. hard. you kissed him back, albeit with reluctance, but the whisky made you do what sober you would never. the kiss got more and more intense, til eventually you were making out.
things escalated, and soon enough you were laying on your bed with slash in between your thighs. he always ate you out roughly, but it was different this time. he was faster. he went harder. it felt good, but you knew he was trying to prove something. you cried out his name as your orgasm came crashing down on you, gripping your fingers in his curly hair.
“oh my god…” you moaned, panting for air. you felt guilty towards yourself for enjoying this as much as you did. even though slash was doing this as an apology, you felt like you were disrespecting yourself.
“i’m not… i’m not done yet.” he said, making eye contact with you as he lifted his head. you saw the shine of your cum around his mouth, caught by the minimal light of the moon. he tried to wipe it off with the back of his hand, but in his drunken state he could only smear it around even more. god, that was hot. you hated to think it, but it was.
slash’s shirt had already been tossed to a corner of the room, along with your clothes and underwear. he began to unbuckle his belt, and you closed your eyes in anticipation of what was gonna happen next. with no warning, he shoved his dick inside you. you moaned in a mix of pleasure and pain. no matter how many times he fucked you, you could never get used to his size.
his thrusts were haphazard and lacked power compared to how he ate you out, but you let him continue. it was evident he hasn’t sobered up yet. you had started to.
slash saw the dissatisfied look on your face and sped up. hard. in a matter of seconds, he went from a slow, boring pace to fucking your brains out. he was tired no doubt, but the way he drilled into you, you’d think it was his last day alive. moans and groans filled the room as he thrust into you over and over, not stopping at all.
“god- fuck! slash!” was all you could get out. you hated that you loved this. the incident at the bar was still in the back of your mind, and it was clear that your boyfriend was trying to fuck the thought out of you.
quickly enough, you both came. slash fell down beside you on the bed, eyes half-lidded. you looked over at him. regret hit you like a truck. sure, it had felt so good when it was happening, but now that it was done, you wished you hadn’t. should you break up with him? for your dignity’s sake?
“did it… feel good?” slash asked, already half asleep. you looked up at the ceiling. “yeah. sure.” was all you could say in reply.
slowly you got up off the bed and went into the bathroom. cleaning yourself off, you thought about everything. the bar. the sex. was it worth it even being with him anymore? he wasn’t around most of the time. he was either oracticing, getting high or writing. ‘writing’. you thought about how many times he came home too late. how many times you swore you could smell cheap perfume off of him.
the dots connected in your mind and you started to cry. a small part of you hoped that slash would hear you, come in and comfort you. but he didn’t. you stayed alone in the bathroom, sobbing til you couldn’t anymore. finally, when you were ready, you went back into the bedroom. you were expecting slash to be angry. to get pissed at you for crying. but when you went in, all you found was him sleeping. he hasn’t even bothered to actually get in the bed. he was just laying on top of the sheets, the exact same way you had left him.
that was it for you. the way he slept, so careless. he couldn’t give a fuck about you, really. you scoffed.
guided by the dim light of the moon, you shoved all of slash’s belongings in a bag. you walked out of the bedroom quietly, grabbing a spare blanket as you made your way to the front door. you left his bag there and got set up to sleep on the sofa. you’d deal with this in the morning. you’d kick him out and tell him it was over. for your own sake.

a little snippet from the thrill of it all...
Harry pauses at the doorway to the lunchroom with a Tupperware bowl held in his hands. Over by the microwave, Louis and Kate pause too. A half-second later, Kate returns to her story about a recent trip to London.
Louis’ gaze lingers.
With a shallow exhale, Harry steps into the lunchroom. “Sorry,” he says, gesturing with the Tupperware bowl. “I just need the microwave.”
“Whoops, sorry,” says Kate and noticeably sets her hand on Louis’ forearm as if to guide him out of the way, as if he needs guiding. Harry doesn’t think he’s ever had the urge to hiss until now. He feels his gums ache as he quickly puts his back to them.
He shoves the bowl into the microwave a bit roughly, jostling some soup that he’ll have to wipe up later, and sets the timer. He sets it high because the microwave sucks and takes a while to get going, also so he has more time to eavesdrop. He crosses his arms tightly over his chest as he waits, his mouth set in a firm unhappy line that neither of his colleagues can see.
He can hear the quick uptake of Kate’s heart when Louis speaks and almost feels sorry for her. It doesn’t mean she’s in love with him, Harry knows that. But she’s moved by him, which almost seems just as bad.
Harry wants to feel sorry for her because doing so sets him apart. Doing so establishes a line of demarcation between her infatuation and his own. Harry is moved by Louis, too, but in a literal sense, they’ve moved each other. Harry’s infatuation is reciprocated. Kate’s isn’t.
Except he’s not entirely sure that’s true anymore.
And at least Kate isn’t the kind of person to vacillate ad nauseum between boldness and timidity. Kate is always bold and unapologetic with her attention. Whether Harry wants to admit it or not, she’s the one to envy right now, not him.
To his relief, one of Kate’s team members arrives to fetch her for their next meeting and after telling Louis she’ll catch up with him later, she’s gone.
Louis isn’t, though. “Is that homemade soup?” he asks, sliding into the space beside Harry.
For a second, Harry just looks at Louis in an inexplicable stupor. “Uh, I don’t know. It’s Jim’s,” he says, numbly. “I’m heating it up for him.”
“Jim can’t heat up his own soup?” Louis asks with a scowl.
“It’s my fault. I offered the first time and now he keeps asking,” Harry says. “It’s honestly fine.”
The microwave beeps. Harry carefully removes the container and turns to face Louis. “Good chat with Kate?” he asks.
“You tell me,” Louis says. “You were listening to most of it.”
Harry’s mouth drops open. “I was not,” he says, aghast.
“You absolutely were,” Louis says, plainly. “What’s for lunch, then? If not soup?”You, Harry thinks. Or pretends not to think. And nearly spills more soup.
He isn’t thirsty. He fed before leaving so he shouldn’t be. But he’s also been feeding more often than usual. When he confirmed his next delivery last night, he even considered increasing his subscription level. But he’s not sure he can afford to and he’s not so desperate yet.
“I don’t know,” Harry says. “Soup actually sounds good.”
“There’s a new Mediterranean place down the street some clients seem to like,” Louis says, randomly. “Want to go?”
Harry forgets to blink.
“After you give Jim his soup,” Louis adds in the silence. “Obviously.”
“Would that not be weird…? If someone saw us?”
“As far as anyone knows, we work together and we’re just getting lunch,” Louis says. When Harry still doesn’t reply right away, Louis’ smile visibly shrinks. “It’s lunch, Styles. But if you’re busy…or you don’t want to, it’s fine.”
“No, I want to, really,” Harry says. He’s more surprised that Louis wants to. “I’ll just drop off the soup. And meet you at the lift.”

Delicate Part V
sirius black x reader - delicate part v
word count: 1.5k
summary: this is part v of a sirius black x ravenclaw!reader series. a slow burn romance with platonic remus x reader and maybe some flirtatious remus x reader if you squint a lot lol
warnings: y/n is from ravenclaw (not sure if that’s even a needed warning) so sorry if that’s not your house
a/n: umm wow I had a lot of exams lol… sorry for taking so long but part v is here!! hopefully i’ll get part vi out a little faster… anyways thank you so much for all the likes and reblogs!!!
The days following the hug were strange. In the quiet of the library and the hallways of Hogwarts, y/n could feel the shift between her and Sirius, but she couldn’t decide if it was something good or something that had made everything more complicated. The walls between them had been chipped away, but now, they were starting to build themselves back up. Slowly. Carefully. She had noticed the change in him, but she wasn’t sure how to interpret it. She wasn’t even sure if she wanted to.
The rest of the project went by in a blur. They polished their spell and earned top marks. The project was far behind them now, but the strange tension from that night in the library was not.
The shift was subtle at first—small gestures, lingering glances that she would catch out of the corner of her eye. Nothing overt, nothing that screamed romance, but enough to make her heart skip a beat when she wasn’t paying attention.
The Great Hall was bustling with students, the chatter and clinking of silverware filling the air as y/n sat at the Ravenclaw table, buried in her notes. She’d been avoiding Sirius. After the moment they shared in the library, something had shifted in her, and she wasn't sure what to do with it. She had convinced herself it was nothing—just a fleeting moment of vulnerability. But Sirius wasn’t making it easy to forget.
She glanced up from her book, her focus faltering for just a second as she caught sight of him. Sirius Black, as usual, was surrounded by a group of his friends, laughing and being the center of attention. But today, his eyes seemed to be searching for something—or someone. When they locked with hers from across the room, a grin tugged at his lips.
Before y/n could even process the situation, he pushed his way through the crowd and made his way toward the Ravenclaw table, his usual swagger accentuated by a cocky tilt of his head.
“Mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice low, and too casual to be entirely innocent. He leaned in just enough for her to catch the scent of his cologne, a mix of something earthy and a little wild, just like him.
Y/n didn’t immediately respond. Her eyes narrowed as she glanced at him, sensing the familiar flirtation in his tone, but this time, it felt different—like he was testing something, or maybe... trying to push her buttons. He’d been like this before, overly confident and playful, but today, there was something sharper behind it.
“You’re just going to sit here, all... charming, and expect me to entertain you?” Y/n asked, her voice cool, her brow raised. She could feel the heat of his presence, the way it felt like he was trying to draw her into his orbit again.
He flashed her a cocky grin, clearly undeterred. “Why not? It’s more fun sitting next to the most fascinating person in the room.” He leaned a little closer, his elbow brushing hers on purpose as he picked up a piece of bread from her plate. “I’d say I’m pretty good company, don’t you think?”
Sirius’s smile didn’t falter, but there was something in his eyes that looked… off. It was a flicker of something she hadn’t seen before, but y/n wasn’t sure what to make of it. She had dealt with enough flirtation and playful banter to know when someone was being genuine and when they were just putting on an act. And right now, Sirius was putting on an act.
His charm, the way he leaned in just a little too close, it all felt like another one of his games. And she wasn’t interested in playing.
“I don’t know,” she said, her voice calm but firm. “It’s just… I don’t want to get caught up in all that. You’re not the only one who has to deal with things, you know. I don’t need anyone making everything more complicated.”
Sirius’s eyebrows knit together slightly, but he quickly masked it with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “What? You think I’m trying to make things complicated?”
Y/n took a deliberate breath before finally answering. "I think you’re trying to make something out of nothing." Her tone wasn’t harsh, but it was resolute. "And I don’t have time for distractions like that right now."
Sirius leaned back slightly, his grin faltering for just a fraction of a second before it returned, though this time it felt more like a mask than anything else. "Distractions, huh? I didn’t realize I was such a problem for you, Ravenclaw."
His teasing tone grated on her nerves more than usual. "You’re not a problem," she said quickly, her voice softening out of habit. "I just... I know how you are, Sirius. And I’m not interested in being the next joke or experiment for you."
The words landed harder than she’d intended, and for a moment, Sirius’s face shifted. The easygoing, confident smirk melted into something unreadable, and his grey eyes studied her as if searching for something.
"Is that what you think I’m doing?" he asked, his voice quieter now. The usual bravado was gone, replaced by something almost vulnerable.
Y/n hesitated. She wasn’t sure what to say. This wasn’t how she’d imagined the conversation going, but now she felt like she’d stepped into dangerous territory. "I don’t know what you’re doing," she admitted finally, meeting his gaze. "But whatever it is, I don’t think it’s real."
The silence that followed felt suffocating. Sirius didn’t look away, but there was a weight in his expression that made her heart twist unexpectedly. When he finally spoke, his voice carried a hint of bitterness, "Right." Before she could respond, he pushed himself off the bench, his movements sharp and deliberate. "Well, thanks for the reality check, y/n. Wouldn’t want to waste your time."
And with that, he turned and walked away, his usual swagger noticeably absent.
The distance between them grew over the next few days. Sirius didn’t approach her again, though Y/n caught him glancing her way a few times, only to turn away when their eyes met. For her part, she threw herself deeper into her studies, refusing to let the strange interaction occupy space in her mind.
Their exchange at the Ravenclaw table had left her feeling frustrated, exposed, and conflicted. His cocky demeanor and teasing words felt like layers he was hiding behind, and she wasn’t interested in trying to peel them back to figure out what was real. It wasn’t her responsibility, and she told herself she didn’t care to try.
But the truth was harder to face in quiet moments. Alone in her dormitory, her mind would drift back to the way his expression faltered when she said she wasn’t interested in being another one of his games. She hadn’t expected the flash of hurt in his eyes or the weight in his voice when he asked if that’s what she thought of him.
Her chest tightened as she replayed the conversation over and over, dissecting every word and gesture. Was she wrong? Had she judged him too harshly? And if she had, did it even matter? It wasn’t like Sirius Black was losing sleep over her opinion.
━━━━━━━•✧°•°𓅦°•°✧•━━━━━━━
But Sirius couldn’t stop thinking about it. For the first time, his usual charm had failed, and the rejection had hit harder than he expected. It wasn’t just that she’d dismissed him—it was the way she saw straight through him, saw the parts of himself he worked so hard to hide.
“She’s not stupid, Pads, she won’t fall for every guy that looks her way,” Remus said quietly one evening, as Sirius sat brooding in the Gryffindor common room.
“I know,” Sirius muttered.
“So what are you going to do about it?”
Sirius sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I don’t know. She’s—she’s different. She doesn’t fall for the usual stuff. And I—I think I screwed it up.”
Remus raised an eyebrow. “Maybe start by figuring out what you actually want from her. Because if this is just another game to you, she’s right to walk away.”
Sirius didn’t answer, but the weight of Remus’s words settled heavily in his chest. For the first time, he realized he didn’t have an answer—not for Remus, not for Y/n, and not for himself.
As the days stretched into weeks, the distance between him and Y/n only grew, and Sirius couldn’t help but wonder if he’d ruined something he hadn’t even fully understood.

Adding onto this because I have a lot of thoughts about this topic. This might come out as a bit scrambled because I’m not thinking too hard as I type I just need to get it all out.
First of all, no, defectiveness is not an allegory for autism.
Not only would this be extremely problematic due to the nature of how defectives are treated (executed via electrocution, being seen as highly unstable and dangerous monsters), but you’re also humanising irkens too much. Irkens and humans… not the same! I’m not saying they CAN’T be autistic, I’m just saying that defectiveness and autism are NOT THE SAME THING. This is something that REALLY irks me. (Pun intended). It genuinely makes me very uncomfortable and I know people are going to disagree with me and tell me things like “but the irken empire is messed up! That’s the point!” Okay, well I’m not finished.
“You’re a monster, Zim! Everything you touch gets destroyed!”
Defectiveness isn’t a problem with the irken itself, with the organic brain. Defectiveness is an issue with the PAK. A lot of issues in Zim’s case. The PAK is broken. It literally says this in The Trial:
“Irken Zim’s ID PAK is damaged, and has led to a corrupt data path. He is… a defective.”
His PAK is so broken that it corrupts the Control Brains! Almost like a computer virus, I guess.
Defectives are unpredictable, unstable, and dangerous because their PAKs are damaged. It’s hard to keep them in line which is why they need to be terminated. Zim is an active threat to the entire empire, which would be impressive if they learned how to utilise him. But they can’t. He’s too unpredictable. He could end up annihilating his own race by accident (which has almost happened before). He could be set off in a way that makes him WANT to destroy the empire. No matter what he does, something gets destroyed. And the empire doesn’t want it to be them because they KNOW he’s an actual threat. He’s proved that multiple times. It’s safer to just banish him to a planet so far away that it’s practically impossible for them to cross paths again, all while he’s under the impression he’s been sent on a top secret mission. He’ll direct all his destructive energy towards that and not mess up things for the empire anymore. And they need to keep up the illusion so they don’t set him off because they can’t keep him under control like they can everyone else. THAT is what defectiveness is.
Zim was doomed from the second his broken PAK was attached.
Also, defectives aren’t common either. That’s why it’s such a big deal when they’re discovered with this huge existence evaluation. They’re a flaw in the empire’s perfect code and need to be scrubbed from existence and everyone needs to pretend it never happened. That such an irken never existed.
“Irken Zim's data is not allowed into the collective. His PAK will be removed, and erased.”
Also, I know I said it in the original post, but no, irkens who show emotion are not defective. Sure, maybe it’s seen as weak to show emotions like sadness, but it’s literally impossible to prevent that. They very clearly show other emotions like anger, happiness, frustration… sadness is just another one. It’s not defective to be sad, it’s just funny.
And no, I don’t think Skoodge and Tak are defective. I don’t really have a coherent explanation for this. I know it’s a popular headcanon, I just don’t see it.
I don’t really care if you disagree with me on that, it’s your headcanon. I’m just saying that I personally don’t see it. You do you. What I’m actually passionate about is everything I said before that.
I don’t really know how to tie this all together, but I want to share my thoughts on this topic because I feel like it’s important - ESPECIALLY the first part. I’ll come back to this if I have any more thoughts about it because I’m very passionate about defectiveness as a concept.
The term ‘defective’ is thrown around way too loosely in this fandom. Having emotions does not make an irken defective.
#I have so many thoughts about this whole thing that I can’t put into words#and if I could I wouldn’t be able to string them all together properly anyway#I’m just very passionate#invader zim#iz#zim#defective#the trial#control brains#invader skoodge#skoodge#invader tak#tak#the almighty tallest#I used a red quote!
