Luo Binghe regarded him coldly, half turned up the mountain path. “What are you talking about?” Ever since the mess with the Dream Demon, they’d been on… well, ‘friendly terms’ was too strong. Less antagonistic terms, perhaps. But regardless, Ming Fan had been scouring Qing Jing Peak for his shidi for too long, to the point of wondering is Luo Binghe was avoiding him. And now that he’s finally found him…

Ming Fan felt the sickening hot-and-cold feel of shame twist itself in his gut. The long chain in his hand clinked and tangled, grounding him and reminding him what he came here to do. “This,” he said, holding out the chain.

Luo Binghe looked like one of the peak’s deer, ready to dart into the bamboo at the slightest hint of aggression. “What…”

Ming Fan sighed. “Don’t question it, brat. Just take it,” he said, tossing it at the taller boy.

Luo Binghe caught it easily, his wary gaze never leaving Ming Fan. But then he finally looked down. And went pale.

“How—how you get this?”

Ming Fan would willingly slit his own throat before he admitted to returning to the clearing after Luo Binghe and Ning Yingying had left and searching the bushes by light of a talisman. The fake jade had shattered against a tree trunk and, being too proud to return the pieces to their rightful owner, he kept the shards for years. “Found something in the market,” he said casually. Partial truth. He’d had it commissioned in the market, using the pieces as a template.

Luo Binghe’s fingers curled around his mother’s Guanyin jade. “Why?” His eyes burned.

Why, indeed? Even Ming Fan didn’t know what had driven him to do something so pointless. “Do I need a reason for everything?” he huffed. “Make of it what you will. My conscience is clear.” He turned back down the mountain, afraid to look back and find Luo Binghe coming after him to strangle him or something.

But if he had looked back, he would have seen him in tears and wearing the brightest smile imaginable.

in my eyes, argenthill is neither strictly romantic or strictly platonic but a secret third thing. they can't be together long-term because of their paths, but they CAN be deeply devoted to each other. they recognize the others' independence but also know they can lean on them for emotional support.

they are planets whose orbits rarely cross, but when they do, it is a moment that is mutually cherished and kept close to the heart until the next moment. they are lonely people who try not to get attached as theyre frequently on the move, but the heart betrays their true desires.

like idk. personally if the ex military buzzcut guy with a dead wife tersely told me that i didn't know what the wasteland was like before the colonial entity he was raised up in got their hands on it and that the ncr was actually "civilizing it" or whatever. and i then pieced together that he had been conditioned by the military he was a part of to mercy kill and is therefore very against that now but also definitely did that to his wife. and he then informed me that i should leave him behind because he was literally incapable of not shooting anyone in certain faction armour indiscriminately. my response would not be to try dating him. even if i did not know about the specific war crimes he'd done yet.

Unless I'm missing something, as an adult, Stolas only ever used Blitzo (with the "o") in this scene

Stolas questioned if Blitzø had an "o" at the end when they talked as adults in The Circus, but when Blitzø said that the "o" was silent now, Stolas never said it aloud

Something about him saying Blitzo really sunk under my skin. It's been on my mind ever since The Full Moon aired. He only ever said it just that one time; every other time in this episode was Blitzø with the silent o.

He is .. attractive. I mentioned that. You all saw it. I will not .. get into that. Because it's mostly in the comfort I get by being around him. He understands me far more than most people do. I could chalk that up to me ... showing him more of myself and the fact he .. simply gets it.

I do not need to try hard to explain myself on things, my .. masks .. with a lack of a better term, can come down and I know I don't have to worry about being seen differently because he already knows .. me.

I also find myself more .. drawn to him the more he regains or finds of himself. It's been an absolute joy to get to know him.

Most of the time, I exist in a mostly non-binary state. When my gender goblin ventures his way into the binary aisle for gender soup ingredients, he never gets the standard "man" and "woman" genders. He gets the dude/guy/chick/gal four pack. They all taste very similar to the "man/woman" gender ingredients, but they are just a little to the left.
