I’ve been thinking a lot about my nomad V’s time between leaving his pack around age 16 and arriving at the outskirts of Night City a good 10 years later--

Back in his Corpo merc days Des' teammates encouraged him to enrol and maybe make a buck in low tier clandestine street fights, but suffice it to say it was not a success 🤫

(No big money in small time no-aug pools anyway, plus at the end of the day Des is too vain to get his face mangled for no reason...  Not like he doesn't get roughed up in the Corpo unit of course, but at least there he gets roughed up on company time. Of course he totally changes his mind on that after Corpo job costs him an arm...)

Occasionally Des still feels he has to look over his shoulder for double crossing some dirty bookmakers back in the day...
