Any advice on drawing McCoy? I’m not used to drawing ancient wrinkley bastards (affectionate) and it’s surprisingly tough v-v
FOR SURE lmao i made. a diagram. just a warning that i am going to be irritating and long winded because u just hit a topic i really like sorry lmao
so first off i did some traces just to show whats there vs redraws to show my interpretation
ive said this on other asks but again jsyk, tracing isnt bad!! its a tool. theres some stuff with intellectual property and whatnot but using tracing to study shapes and forms is a really valuable practice.
also just taking some time to learn facial structures and anatomy is super useful, reading what bones and muscles are where and how they interact with one another. taking this info and staring in the mirror and moving your face around and thinking about it. just really furthers understanding of how the face works. trying to sound normal about this but i love anatomy and motion and physics and whatever
anyways im going to go through all the numbered points so there's no confusion. 1. forehead lines - self explanatory. more prominent when brows are raised 2. crows feet - at the outer corners of the eyes, more prominent when smiling or squinting 3. nasolabial folds - the folds that go from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. more prominent when the mouth is wide, like smiling 4. brow furrow - self explanatory, most prominent when brows are furrowed. mccoy tends to have two right next to his eyebrows, kirk has one in the middle. everyones face works different lmao 5. chin crease - caused by how the chin and lower lip interact. 6. nasojugal groove - start from the inner corners of the eye and can extent over the cheeks. everyone has these and idk why people dont like them i think theyre really cool!!!! but Society. i guess. :/ 7. eye bags - caused by the skin sagging beneath the eyes. mccoy isnt even that old in tos i think hes meant to be mid 40s by the end of the 5 year mission, hes just got really prominent eye bags lmao 8. idk what the name is for these, but when the mouth is wide and pushes the skin to the sides, these folds sometimes form outside of the nasolabial folds 9. philtrum - the groove above the upper lip. i dont usually draw this but mccoy's struck me as prominent enough that i usually draw it on him 10. masseter - the muscle that moves the jaw up and down. its a pretty rugged muscle and while i wouldnt say mccoy's is especially prominent, it kind of extends that nasojugal groove from certain angles/positions 11. orbicularis oris - mouth muscle, usually easier to see when lips are pursed or frowns are pulled. mccoy's is pretty prominent from 3/4ths or side, his mouth tends to protrude in profile 12. this isnt a muscle but more of a line defining the planes of the face, but since i drew it i felt i should explain lmao
a few points:
im an animator i tend to exaggerate and emphasize certain things so i usually make him more square.
i like to combine eyebags and crows feet for brevity/flow, same with nasojugal grooves, eyebags, and masseter lines. my approach is always subject to change based on pose, expression, reference image, etc.
i take out details that i deem redundant or cluttering and keep what details i need to make things feel Right
all this info is applicable to any character of any age, its just in how you apply it and facial proportions that willl change how old a character is perceived to be
there's a lot more with drawing a Character rather than an Actor, just because the features are there doesnt necessarily mean things will feel correct? its very much in the mannerisms and poses and expressions
i only went over my approach to his likeness but not really body type or posing or anything idk if u want that i could always try to answer that later haha
_______________
anyways all that info kind of exists nebulously in my brain while i draw its not like im sitting there thinking Must Draw. Nasolabial Fold...... i jsut do what feels right with the visual info i have. also i love specificity in faces.... i dont like to be a hater but when every character is drawn the same it pisses me off a little lmao. so
also dont take my word as The Only Way to do anything i just draw how i like to draw and no one should feel like these are things that Must be done to be a good artist or anything do whatever the hell u wanna do
#anyways my apologies that was. a lot#it will happen again if asked of me.#anon#ask#everyone has this stuff going on with their face and its really cool but capitalism and the beauty industry and whatnot#have been rotting peoples brains since the moment they came to be#the more u look at and appreciate how ur skin an muscles and bones interact with one another the more fine u are with your own face#trust me#because its really cool. like mechanically and stuff#idk if its like theraputic or something but maybe it is or maybe i think about it all way too much#how i draw#ive got some other similar things under that tag i think pertaining to merlin but still similar info

i really like how much depth your art has, do you think you could show how you break down bodies when sketching if that makes sense? it’s something i struggle with a lot in my art! 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。
ok apologies in advance, this is probably going to be a really long and tangential rant about art that may or may not actually help you in learning how to construct bodies. im just gonna put it under a cut to save everyone from seeing this huge text wall.
i dont think its gonna be possible for you to replicate my methods here, because theyre mostly just really specific shortcuts for finding certain proportions and reference points for anatomy, which i'm fairly versed in, but not as much as i'd like to be. the shortcuts you'll need will be different from mine. im glad you think my art has depth, that is something i am trying to seek very intentionally right now, and i dont think im even close to the depth of form i am actually aiming for. so like. this makes making a tutorial kind of inherently hard. nevertheless, i threw this quick sketch together after like 3 failed attempts. (i was doing those attempts digitally, ended up giving up on that and going back to traditional because its what im most comfortable with rn)
i didnt get all the steps i took to get here because scanning that much would be cumbersome but ill try to explain how i got here. i start with the head almost every time.
i use a lot of symbolic/graphic shapes when drawing heads and dont stick to using forms very often besides the circle at the center of the head, which i use as the base to form these graphic shapes around. think of it like "wrapping" the ball in various textures and masses. the eyes are usually "textured" onto the head, notice how the her left eye looks narrower then her right. of course i try to make sure her bangs sit along the curve of the sphere and her ears look like they sit on opposite sides of the head. its easy to forget that part, making the head look unsymmetrical. the particular masses of leica's head would be her snout, which is just a curve extended slightly outside the diameter of the ball, and her hair, which are two strange organic shapes that are quite hard to draw, two hair sprig anime antennae things (forgive me, i forgot the word for them,) and the back of the head, which i usually need to extend slightly. its a little too extended here, needs more on the top, i fix this in the final pass. this was a quick sketch, so i didnt focus too hard on the forms of the head beyond the most essential ones for her design, but i sometimes highlight the form of cheeks with curved hatching, or try to make the eyes appear more sunken-in as they are on human faces. i dont know how to proportion the neck and torso correctly until i draw the head, so i always do it first. next, i did the torso.
so heres why i said that you probably wont be able to replicate this approach. you do kind of just have to practice anatomy, i cant just make it make sense because im not very good at explaining this stuff, but ill try to go through what i did here. so, i generally use simplified bone shapes to find proportions and reference points, as well as more complicated shapes like those of elbows and knees. i try to study fairly often because im not satisfied with here im at with this stuff yet. of course, i dont think i'll ever be. so i'll usually start with the ribcage, add a shoulderblade out the back to find the shoulder, the armbones come out of that, the bone in the upper arm connects to the ulna with a sort of three-pronged attachment, one big knurl in the middle, which forms the thrust of the elbow, two little ones on the side. i think those are part of the ulna but i dont remember. see, you dont really have to know what exactly they do as long as you know what they look like. the ulna does some goofy rotation shit i dont understand, connects to the wrist, and then we have a hand, which, i mean, im not good enough at hands to even be telling you how to do it, but i just have a big squarish mass and some little hotdog fingers coming out of that. you can see on her left hand that ill have a big circle forming the the area on the hand where the thumb attaches... theres more depth to the hands, i think you can easily find better tutorials then i could offer. anyway, under the ribcage theres the pelvis, represented with a box. ill get into that when i talk about the legs. i wanna briefly talk about the way i add the flesh and fat to the bones.
so, i really can't give a comprehensive crash course on anatomy, but i can point you towards the morpho series, which is where i get most of this stuff from. you can get very far with the volumes Simplified Forms, Fat and Skin, and Skeleton and Bone Reference Points. moving on, i just kind of have a feel for where the masses attach by now. the important thing to remember when drawing fat characters like this is that the fat should "hang" from the bones and flesh, drooping down slightly. leicas fat hangs substantially, so she's not very wide despite her weight. this is important to her character design i feel. i almost always draw characters naked first when doing serious drawings because it will come in handy knowing where the forms of the body are when i add the clothing. by focusing on the way her body looks naked, i can modify the impression of those forms when adding clothes, and when i add them later on in this drawing, leica will take on the distinctive boxy look i try to draw her with.
if you look at the arm, youll see that the place the line of bone sits is very high compared to the whole mass of the arm, the flesh and fat of the arm "hang" from the bone, and then the upper arm squishes against the bent forearm too. even if the anatomy in the arm is indistinct, it can still look convincing when the forms act realistically against one another. the elbow has much less fat connected to it, so its more bony then the rest. this isnt actually consistent on all people so like, think about that kind of thing when designing characters, like i was talking about before, fat can sit in infinite different ways. maybe if i was doing a more objective anatomy lesson i'd draw cath, because i do have a sort of vague understanding of muscle placement that doesnt come through here, but probably would if i was drawing a scrawnier character. let me know if you want that.
a word on the breasts too: they hang a bit lower then you'd expect, keep that in mind. the attachment point is also angled, as the line shows. the line starts roughly in the middle of the torso and ends around the armpit, but the form of the breast can go underneath the armpit or even connect around the fold of fat in the back. many things to think about. i love boob shapes. ok lets finally get on with it and talk about the legs.
so, the really specific shape of the pelvis doesnt matter that much unless youre drawing a really thin character, so its just a box here. out from the sides of the pelvis, extending out more then you'd expect, is the femur, which ends in a similar joint to the arm. this shape helps me figure out the form of the knee. two masses on each side with a bunch of complex and weirdly shaped bones forming the kneecap, which i have omitted because i dont yet know shit enough to include them. i am learning though. so, obviously the feet are just scribbles here because im just gonna put her feet in socks anyway. you really dont have to do more then you have to. a few tips i can offer here, the butt should hang a bit too when drawing fat characters, i think the butt is supposed to start just below the pelvis if i remember, but take that with a grain of salt. i also didnt really do that here but its hard to tell because she's facing mostly forward. again, i dont think i can really communicate what's going on here. morpho has a lot of great drawings explaining the shapes and muscles of the legs, all things i might focus on more when drawing a scrawnier character. for this case, i regrettably don't go too hard on the legs. also i should note that legs would usually be much longer, leica is really short so ive exaggerated the proportions to communicate that. i may change my mind on that front in the future and give her more grounded proportions. the important thing to remember with legs is just getting a nice hierarchy of forms going. bigger thigh going into smaller calf going into smaller foot. it mostly comes automatically now.
i added the clothing, shaped up her head a bit, added a bit of fur. i put her in her classic outfit, just a sweater and jeans. i enjoy the big thick folds that come out of these clothes, and big areas of white space too. its nice. i try my best to form all the folds around the forms of the body i drew earlier. thats one case where i really really have no idea what im doing and could never explain it in words. its just some fun intuitive play with loops and lines. this is at around the stage for a sketch where i'd do inks, or if it was going to be a finished pencil drawing i'd erase out parts piece by piece and replace them with nicer and more defined lines and tones.
i guess that's all i can offer , i hope that halped.

Chapter 4: Beneath the Surface
The morning sun painted Seoul's skyline in shades of amber and rose as Yeon-jin made her way to BigHit's headquarters. The familiar weight of her laptop bag and the thermal mug of green tea in her hand had become part of her daily ritual over the past few weeks. She found herself arriving earlier each day, anticipating the creative energy that seemed to fill the studio whenever she and Jungkook worked together.
They had developed a routine. Morning sessions at BigHit, afternoon sessions at her studio. The schedule hadn't been planned—it had evolved naturally, like everything else about their collaboration. The corporate polish of BigHit's facilities contrasted sharply with the lived-in comfort of her personal workspace, but somehow, they managed to draw inspiration from both environments.
Today, like every other morning, Jungkook was already there when she arrived. He sat cross-legged on the studio floor, acoustic guitar in his lap, humming softly as his fingers danced across the strings. His hair was slightly disheveled, as if he'd been running his hands through it while working out a particularly challenging progression. A half-empty americano sat forgotten beside him, probably cold by now.
Yeon-jin had discovered early on that Jungkook was a morning person, arriving with an energy that both impressed and exhausted her. The contrast between their natural rhythms had become something of an inside joke—she'd often tease him about being disgustingly cheerful before sunrise, while he'd mock-complain about her dependence on caffeine to function before noon.
"You're here early," she said, setting her things down and settling into her usual spot on the comfortable leather couch that occupied one corner of the studio.
He looked up, that characteristic bright smile lighting up his features. "Couldn't sleep. Had this melody stuck in my head." He played a few bars, a haunting progression that somehow managed to sound both melancholic and hopeful. "What do you think?"
Yeon-jin closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her. Already, her mind was filling in harmonies, layering possibilities. "Play it again," she requested, reaching for her notebook.
This was how their best work usually started—with these organic moments of inspiration that they'd build on together. Jungkook would bounce between instruments—guitar, piano, even the drums occasionally—humming new melodies and scribbling lyrics in his worn notebook. His creativity was infectious, pushing her to explore new vocal techniques she'd never considered before.
"Try it with more of that pansori technique," he'd suggest, eyes lighting up when she'd add traditional flourishes to modern R&B runs. "That's it! Now let me try to match that..." He'd immediately start adjusting his own vocal approach, finding ways to complement her style while maintaining his own distinctive sound.
The hours would slip by as they worked, their different approaches creating a dynamic that somehow just clicked. Yeon-jin was methodical, wanting to perfect each section before moving forward. She'd spend hours fine-tuning a single phrase, adjusting the melody until it felt exactly right. Jungkook, on the other hand, preferred to capture the raw emotion first, arguing that too much polish early on could strip away the authenticity of a piece.
"But don't you want it to be perfect?" she'd asked him once, after he'd insisted on keeping a slightly rough note in one of their recordings.
"Perfect isn't always better," he'd replied, rewinding the track to the moment in question. "Listen to that slight crack in your voice there—it tells a story. It makes the listener feel something. Sometimes the imperfections are what make a song real."
Their contrasting styles created a perfect balance, though it sometimes led to passionate debates. Today was one of those days. They'd been working on the bridge of their latest song for hours, and frustration was starting to creep in.
"The bridge needs something more," Jungkook insisted, running his hands through his hair in a gesture she'd come to recognize as a sign of his creative restlessness. He moved to the piano for what felt like the hundredth time that afternoon.
"It's already complex enough," Yeon-jin argued, massaging her temples. "Sometimes simple is better. We don't want to overwhelm the listener."
"But it doesn't feel complete." His fingers found the keys again, playing the section with subtle variations. "It needs... I don't know. Something that speaks to both our styles. Something that bridges the gap between traditional and modern, just like our voices do."
She watched him work through variations, struck by how different he was from his public image. Here, there was no perfectly polished idol, no carefully managed superstar. His designer clothes were replaced with comfortable hoodies and worn jeans, his carefully styled hair often messy from hours of concentrated work. Here, he was just an artist, vulnerable in his pursuit of perfection.
The sunlight streaming through the studio windows caught the dust motes dancing in the air, creating a ethereal atmosphere that matched the intimate nature of their work. Yeon-jin found herself studying his profile as he played, noting the intense concentration in his expression, the way his brow furrowed slightly when he hit a chord that didn't quite match his internal vision.
"What if..." she began, moving to sit beside him on the piano bench. Their shoulders brushed as she reached for the keys, playing a modified version of his progression. "What if we took that traditional element you mentioned earlier, but instead of making it obvious, we wove it through the background?"
Her fingers demonstrated what she meant, adding subtle flourishes that echoed traditional Korean music while maintaining the modern structure they'd established. Jungkook's eyes widened as he caught her vision, and soon his hands joined hers on the keys, building on her idea.
They worked like that for another hour, so absorbed in the music that they didn't notice the shadows lengthening across the studio floor. It was only when Jungkook's stomach growled loudly that they realized they'd worked through lunch again.
"We should probably take a break," Yeon-jin suggested, trying to ignore the way her skin tingled where their arms had been touching. "There's that new fusion place around the corner we've been talking about trying."
During their breaks, they talked. About everything and nothing. These conversations had become as important to their creative process as the actual music-making. He told her about his dreams beyond music—his interest in photography, his desire to direct someday. His eyes would light up when he talked about the music videos he wanted to create, the stories he wanted to tell through visual media.
"I've been taking classes online," he admitted as they settled into a corner booth at the restaurant. "Film theory, directing, that sort of thing. The members tease me about it, but..." He shrugged, a slightly self-conscious gesture that reminded Yeon-jin that despite his massive success, he was still young, still finding his way.
"That's amazing," she said sincerely, watching him relax at her words. "It takes courage to pursue new dreams when you're already successful in one area. People expect you to stay in your lane."
"Exactly!" His enthusiasm was infectious. "But why should we limit ourselves? Music, visual art, performance—it's all connected, isn't it? It's all about telling stories, making people feel something."
She shared stories about her early days in the industry, the struggles and triumphs that had shaped her. She told him about the tiny apartment she'd shared with three other trainees, about practicing in stairwells because they couldn't afford to rent proper rehearsal spaces.
"I actually saw you perform once," he admitted later that evening, back in her studio where they'd relocated for their afternoon session. "You were doing a university festival in Busan."
"Really?" Yeon-jin tried to remember that period of her career. It felt like a lifetime ago, when she was still trying to find her voice, still figuring out who she wanted to be as an artist. "That must have been... what, 2015?"
"2016. Spring." His memory was surprisingly specific. "You sang that ballad about the lighthouse. I was in the back of the crowd, but I remember thinking your voice was unlike anything I'd heard before. The way you mixed traditional techniques with contemporary pop... it was revolutionary."
The detail touched her unexpectedly. "That song almost didn't make it onto the album. The company thought it was too traditional-sounding." She smiled at the memory. "I had to fight for it."
"That's what made it special." He looked at her intently, and something in his gaze made her heart skip. "You've always pushed boundaries, even back then. You never let anyone put you in a box."
These moments of connection became more frequent as the weeks passed. They discovered they had the same favorite restaurant in Busan, a tiny place near Gwangalli Beach that served the best dwaeji gukbap in the city. They both loved horror movies but couldn't watch them alone. They shared the same peculiar habit of writing lyrics from bottom to top when stuck on a particular verse.
"We probably crossed paths a hundred times," he mused one evening, both of them sprawled on the studio floor, surrounded by crumpled paper and half-empty water bottles. The sun had set hours ago, painting the room in soft shadows. A demo of their latest song played softly through the speakers, their harmonized voices creating an intimate atmosphere.
"And now here we are," she replied, not quite meeting his eyes. The air felt charged somehow, heavy with unspoken words. She was acutely aware of how close they were sitting, how the late hour and the darkness seemed to create a world that existed only for them.
"Do you believe in fate?" he asked suddenly, turning to face her. His expression was unusually serious. "Like, all those near-misses over the years... were they leading to this moment?"
The question hung between them, weighted with possibility. Yeon-jin thought about all the choices that had brought them here—every decision, every setback, every triumph. She thought about the young boy who'd watched her perform in Busan, and the accomplished artist sitting beside her now. "I believe in music," she said finally. "It has its own way of bringing people together."
He smiled at that, a soft, genuine expression that made her heart skip. "That's a very songwriter answer."
"Well, I am a songwriter."
"You're more than that." His voice was quiet but intense. "You're... you're someone who understands. Not just music, but..." He trailed off, searching for words. "Sometimes I feel like I've known you for years, even though we've only been working together for a few months. Is that crazy?"
The honesty in his voice made her breath catch. "No," she said softly. "It's not crazy at all."
They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, letting their latest recording play through. The song they'd been working on all day was about missed connections and second chances, about two people who kept orbiting each other until the timing was finally right. Yeon-jin couldn't help but wonder if they'd been unconsciously writing their own story.
"We should probably call it a night," she said finally, her voice not quite steady. The intensity of the moment was becoming overwhelming, and she needed space to think, to process the emotions that were becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
Jungkook nodded, but neither of them moved immediately. The last notes of their recording faded into silence, leaving only the soft hum of the studio equipment and the distant sounds of the city outside.
Finally, he stood, offering her his hand. The contact was brief but electric, sending tingles up her arm. "Same time tomorrow?"
"Same time tomorrow," she confirmed, trying to ignore the way her palm tingled where he'd touched it.
As she watched him leave, Yeon-jin realized something was shifting between them, something that couldn't be explained away by creative chemistry or professional collaboration. The music they were creating was starting to tell a story neither of them had planned—a story about two people who found each other across years and circumstances, brought together by melody and harmony.
That night, she wrote lyrics until dawn, words flowing faster than she could capture them. The verses spoke of fate and timing, of voices meant to find each other, of moments that seemed predestined yet somehow surprised you when they arrived. She wrote about the way certain harmonies felt like coming home, about the space between notes where truth lived, about the courage it takes to let music lead you somewhere unexpected.
When Na Ra arrived in the morning, she found Yeon-jin still at her desk, surrounded by pages of verses. Her friend took one look at her—tired eyes, messy hair, the kind of smile that couldn't be hidden—and raised an eyebrow.
"You want to talk about it?" Na Ra asked, setting down two cups of coffee.
Yeon-jin looked at the lyrics spread across her desk, at the melody notations in the margins, at the words that seemed to have poured straight from her heart onto the page. "I think," she said slowly, "I'm in trouble."
Na Ra picked up one of the pages, scanning the lyrics with knowing eyes. "Honey," she said gently, "I think you've been in trouble since the day he walked into your studio."
Yeon-jin couldn't argue with that. Instead, she reached for her phone to send their usual morning message—a simple "See you at 9?" that somehow felt weighted with new meaning.
His reply came almost instantly: "Already here. Brought breakfast. Think I figured out that bridge we were stuck on."
She smiled, gathering her things for another day at BigHit. Whatever was happening between them, whatever story they were writing together, the music would show them the way. It always did.
The morning sun was painting Seoul's skyline again as she stepped out into the day, her heart beating in time with a melody only she could hear. A melody that, somehow, sounded exactly like his voice harmonizing with hers.

rosarrie your drawing style is just...so cute...how did you develop it? how long have u been drawing for? i love your stuff!
hello!! THANK U SO MUCH aw im so glad u like my art!! its definitely gone through a lot of different phases LOL here's some stuff from 2018
I think..... honestly the two things that force me to develop my style the most is 1) absorbing a bunch of other artists works and seeing how they use colours/lines/shadows/etc etc etc,,, and 2) trying different approaches out myself, experimenting, making a lot of bad not-good art just to try it out.
I know that my favourite drawings always end up being the ones that i just randomly try new stuff with and end up liking, like this one!!!
i wanted to try a diff colour palette and a more softer painting style (something thats kind of out of my usual way of drawing) and I really loved it so decided to incorporate it more into newer works.
I HOPE THIS HELPS AND MAKES SENSE!!! LOL thank u for the question

What do you think of Iron Man Volume 2? The Heroes Reborn stuff
When you asked this, I had not read any of v2 -- for any title -- beyond isolated panels, and I was fully prepared to tell you it was bad.
Then I thought, "No, I haven't actually read v2 properly, and I shouldn't just say that without having read it. I should form my own opinion. And IM v2 is only 13 issues." So I just read it.
It's still bad.
The sad thing is that it's not actually the worst comic I've read. It's bad, but it's only… medium bad? I have definitely read things that are worse than Iron Man v2. That doesn't mean it's in any way good. It's just not The Worst.
(It's The Crossing. The Crossing is worse than IM v2. If you have any other answer to "what is the worst comic book?" then I know that you have not read The Crossing because there is no other possible answer. Nothing is worse than The Crossing. Please do not take this paragraph as some kind of reverse-psychology encouragement to try to read The Crossing. It is so bad. It is bad in a way that no other comic can even approach. You will be sorry. I own it in hardcover.)
Insofar as anything would have been able to improve the IM v2 reading experience, it turns out that reading IM v2 in isolation doesn't do it a lot of favors. I didn't know this before I read any of it, but there are multiple issues that are crossovers with FF, Cap, and Avengers v2 -- and they're the kind of four-part crossover where each part is really in a different book, so it's hard to wing it. I knew that the #13 issues were Wildstorm crossovers, and in the case of IM v2 #13 specifically StormWatch (which I am familiar with in the sense that I've read The Authority so I know who Jenny Sparks is, but I don't know that I ever read the original StormWatch, because it's been a while). Anyway, it turns out that #6 and #12 are also the same kind of four-part crossover, so like a quarter of this comic is already incomprehensible crossovers! Great!
I do actually own the other three v2 series, and I could in fact have read them along with this, but I decided I had suffered enough.
The other thing I didn't realize is that these v2 series don't actually explain how everyone got back to 616. I thought they would! They did not! It turns out this is covered in Heroes Reborn: The Return, which is a separate miniseries taking place after v2 and is not the same thing as Heroes Return (either of them) which is obviously a different thing. Thanks, comics. I did go and skim that to get a general idea of the plot. It's not as bad as v2, possibly because Peter David was doing the writing, and the art is also less bad.
Because, yeah, the IM v2 art is horrendous. The best thing I can say about it is that it's not quite as bad as The Crossing and also that, luckily, IM v2 is not the v2 book Rob Liefeld was drawing, although everyone who was drawing these books appears to have wanted to be Rob Liefeld, in terms of style. But this doesn't mean you are free from horrors like this:
The IM v2 armor design is also bad. I say this as someone who does not normally care about armor in the sense that armor doesn't usually affect whether I like a run, as it does for some Iron Man fans. Is it nice if Tony has aesthetically-pleasing armor? Sure! Who doesn't want to look at nice things? But if a run has good writing, Tony could be wearing a cardboard box and I wouldn't care. In my favorite IM run, he literally lives in a cardboard box and later constructs a superhero outfit out of other superheroes' spare uniform bits!
However, the v2 armor sure got hit with the ugly stick:
So that's not… really helping.
The actual plot was-- I mean, yeah, no, it wasn't great, and it did start out with Tony being terrible and uncaring, and then approximately 50% of it was about the Hulk, who was not the character I'd come here to read about, and there were the aforementioned inexplicable crossovers.
What was left of the plot didn't make much sense, and I'm not sure if any of this was actually explained clearly in the other books, but as far as I can tell what was going on was that all the heroes here were dropped onto Counter-Earth here after fighting Onslaught, and given memories and backstories to suggest that they'd always been here, and a lot of their backstories weren't the same. In Tony's case, he wasn't the original Iron Man; this was Conner O'Reilly (Rebel), one of Tony's friends from college, who died being Iron Man. Tony then ends up being Iron Man but of course Rebel isn't really permanently dead and he comes back to fight Titanium Man with Tony. The series treats this information like you of course already knew it and it already happened, which, since comic books already do this while talking about things that did actually happen in previous comics, makes it even more incomprehensible. I spent like three issues wondering if I was actually supposed to know this character.
(Somehow Rebel shows up again in Fabian Nicieza's Thunderbolts run. IDK how, I haven't read it. I have, like, five T-Bolts books in my TBR pile. I do fully intend to read T-Bolts at some point. It just hasn't happened yet.)
I will say that the one interesting thing about reading IM v2 here was how much of it ended up in the MCU. I wasn't expecting that. I know people always say that about Ults, and I can definitely see where the MCU took some inspiration from Ults, but no one ever says that about v2. And I can see why they would do it, because both Ults and v2 are reimagined versions that are trying to tell a story that sort of evokes the feel of 616 without the reader actually needing to be familiar with decades of comics. Which is, you know, the thing the MCU wanted to do, so it makes sense. I just hadn't realized the MCU had borrowed any of this.
What did the MCU take from IM v2? Probably the most notable aspect is Tony being BFFs with Bruce Banner. Here in the v2 backstory, Tony, Bruce, Reed, Doom, and Hank all went to college together and became friends (or frenemies, in the case of Doom). Everyone on that list other than Bruce already had some kind of connection to Tony in 616. Mostly science friendship. Or, uh, science enmity, in the case of Doom. Bruce actually didn't have any connection to Tony, in 616. The Hulk leaves the Avengers in issue #3 and pretty much does not come back until after comics start getting MCU-ified. I think the Hulk being on Hickman's initial Avengers team and also Bendis' Avengers Assemble is when that started happening. So that's all starting in 2012, for sure.
Bruce does not play well with others in 616; the main team he's ever associated with is the Defenders, whose raison d'être is not playing well with others -- like, Namor's on the Defenders. 616 Tony and 616 Bruce were absolutely not BFFs and Hulk was never a regular Avenger; every so often, when they were building new teams, the Avengers called and asked him if he wanted to come back and he told them to fuck off. Tony's never, like, calling him up for advice. They're not friends. If you are here from MCU fandom, I really want to stress this. They're not friends. If Tony needs a science buddy, he probably calls Reed Richards. And yet, here, in v2, Bruce and Tony are lifelong BFFs! They were roommates in college! Tony cares deeply about him, to the point that half the plot of this series is actually about him trying to help the Hulk! I really wasn't expecting that.
The other thing in IM v2 that might look familiar to you, the MCU fan, is Tony/Pepper. They clearly have some UST all throughout v2 -- which, sure, is a thing they had in 616 -- but here, they actually sleep together, which they had never done in 616 at the time. (This actually happens in Heroes Reborn: The Return #4, if you've read IM v2 and are wondering how you missed it.) The only time Tony and Pepper sleep together in 616 is during World's Most Wanted, an arc that came out in 2009, which was clearly after IM1 and also clearly taking inspiration from IM1 because Tony gets a glowy light in his chest by the end of the arc after that one. So, yeah… it looks like MCU grabbed the canon Tony/Pepper too.
(Over in Cap v2, Steve is actually a robot fucker. He has also slept with robots on regular Earth-616. Come on, MCU! Why are you cowards?)
So, yeah. It's not by any means a great comic, but IM v2 is not the worst comic I have ever read, and it's actually kind of an interesting read from the perspective of seeing what they borrowed for MCU. I'm not saying you should run out and read this right now or anything, though. I personally took a bunch of plot notes while I was reading this just so I would never have to read it again.
Also, please enjoy this page from IM v2 #9 in which Tony brings Thor to Avengers Mansion to show him his hole.
Please note that Tony wishes that he had instead chosen to show his hole to Steve. This is all I am going to say about this.

I absolutely adore your trash tarot deck! What inspired you? How'd you begin? What materials do you use? I am so inspired to create my own. Is this alright??
thank you so much that means a lot!! it is absolutely ok for you to make your own tarot deck.
i'm not the first person to do this kind of thing -- i saw a couple of different versions of collage tarot decks which stuck with me and inspired me to make my own. there's these 2 tiktoks with people adhering more closely to the "trash tarot" theme: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSN6Vt7GN/ and https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSN6VvwUC/ and also this deck by a collagist/multimedia artist: https://twitter.com/FrogboiArt/status/1681076700568756226
there are a bunch of decks out there which you can draw inspiration from. as for where i started, i kind of just had the idea for the six of pentacles (gum packet with pink labelling stickers) and went from there. just go where your ideas take u honestly.
more info under the cut
in terms of how i make them, i take some stock paper and use a tarot card to trace 2 tarot-card-rectangles on to it, next to each other with the long side connected. then i cut it out, fold it in half down the centre line and glue the sides together. i like to stick it under a stack of heavy book so it dries properly. then i round out the edges with scissors nd voila u have the base of a tarot card!!
i get the materials to make the collage from: old magazines, textbooks, artbooks, informative books with diagrams etc, labels, packaging, and receipts. certain things are printed out (disco elysium gunmen and eli sunday fanart lol). use whatever u want!
i tried a couple of approaches to pick the design of the cards. one was researching the meanings/histories of the card. i found out that when tarot cards had more explicitly christian imagery, judas was on the hanged man card, so i put him on the hanged man ((im not christian lol i just think its interesting))).
another was doing more satirical/subversive? designs of the cards. eg strength usually has a woman overpowering a lion and i saw the image for my strength card and thought it would be funny if it were the opposite way around. the emperor card is an image of someone giving a speech at the UN, which i found in a politics textbook, with the speaker coloured over.
another was just looking at what i had and trying to make something out of it. i was finding way more guns than swords or blades for my suit of swords, so i decided for my suit of swords to just be any weapons.
i wrote a lot . anyway i hope this helps sorry if it makes 0 sense

hi!!! i really like your art but i kinda feel like im out of the loop with your art. can you pleaseee tell me about your utau lore. please. (esp the rei x momo drawing i really like it but i have No context on it)
i'd be really happy to explain! please don't worry, a lot of it is sort of just out of context thoughts on my part LOL i forget to explain quite a lot, but i'll set out some of my general ideas! if i leave anything out or if you wanna hear more for something, do let me know! if this comes out as word salad i'll try to re-explain
the synths to me are all robots scaling from biomechanical to purely mechanical. i'm irresponsible when it comes to lore so it's quite spotty, but the general idea is that they primarily live in a digital landscape where different software is a different agency. utau, my main focus, is akin to a no man's land and is EXTREMELY indie.
adachi rei (he/they) is a newcomer, and he's unique because he exists both digitally and in real life. he embodies endless possibilities and is literally made of love! the problem with this is that rei doesn't really know who he's meant to be. is he kind? is he cold? is he some sort of freak? rei has no idea, so he flips between all possibilities. he's out of touch with his emotions as a result and is very unpredictable. one trait of his that you'll see in my art is that rei is VERY reckless, often getting himself broken because he can always be put back together. they hate staying in place, as they'll lose sense of what they're really trying to fulfill.
momone momo is similar to her usual portrayal, a deeply compassionate robo-maid who would do anything for her friends. she is blessed by the robot god, though i've taken a horror approach on that fact. what IS a robot god truly like, really? momo seems to envision it as a wise old man, but someone like rei may view it as an incomprehensible wire mass. the other difference with my momo lore is that she is undergoing link death. with some of her voicebanks truly being lost media, momo is gradually fading and seems to be running short on time.
the artwork is meant to be momo introducing rei to heaven, or, the robot god. she sees it as harmless, but rei perceives it with some sort of fear. momo wants to show this to rei because she believes that he is full of potential. potential to spread love as she has, the potential to make every user happy as she has tried. they're different to other synths, and momo finds this quite amazing. she wants to guide rei down all sorts of paths they may take before all her links break for good. rei can be a divine symbol as well, she believes.

OMG HI I'M SO SORRY.
I just added some things to the match up and so I'll just copy paste what I sent, along with the updated things. I'm so sorry if this is a bother.
I'm 5'3 with mid length brown hair and bangs. I'm an ENFP-T if that matters lol. I'm also bisexual! I don't really have a preference for gender, nor for hunter/survivors. My favorite colours are green and yellow. I'm a Taurus and my fashion sense sort of. Is like, star-core / star aesthetic if that makes sense? I feel like my love language is to (receive) words of affirmation (give) quality time
Oh gosh, where to start haha!
In general, I'm sort of energetic, friendly and bouncy. I don't find it hard to socialise with people 94% of the time. I am very. Very. Passionate about my autistic special interests (high school Musical, art and general creative acts and such). I'm always on the move and have been described as a manic pixie dream girl at times haha. Despite that, there is always that 6% of the time where I sort of slip up.
I am not a flawless social butterfly, I will admit to that lol. I sometimes grow awkward and quiet, usually because I'm surrounded by people who I don't really know how to talk to or I struggle to mesh well with. This tends to get me excluded from most friend groups because, like, most people don't like loud, awkward messes. On top of that, I'm actually extremely paranoid. I'm terrified of the dark because I'm convinced someone is out to get me, it's kinda funny :3. The paranoia does get really bad, that I struggle to leave my room because like. Again, worried someone is out to get me.
Anyways, that's only 6% of the time!!
I'm insanely creative. I've always been so. I love to read, and write, and draw and paint. It's my special way of expressing myself. I plan on being an author, something I've dreamt of since I was like.. 2? Or something ^w^
I've been told I'm a bit of a rambler, once I get started on something it's difficult for me to stop. Especially when it's something I find fascinating. I love to research topics I like. I have spent an embarrassing amount of time researching early childhood trauma and the way a stressful event can effect a developing mind.
I love being in the spotlight and used to take drama classes because I loved having people's eyes on me. I hope that's not a red flag haha, I just like having attention on me sometimes!
I also used to take horse riding lessons. I was a horse girl as a kid. I'm sorry.
I listen to all kinds of music. Country, rap, pop, jazz. I love experiencing all different kinds of sensations!
I am always somehow moving. Whether that's talking to someone, rocking myself back and forward, I'm always some how on the move.
One of my BIGGEST flaws though is that I'm pretty socially unaware as well. I can come off as rude and insulting without meaning it to be, and unless someone tells me that I'm being insulting, I'll probably double down until someone makes me actually think about what I'm saying.
I think my ultimate deal breaker I'd someone with overly unhealthy attitudes to approaching a relationship. I'm really big with communication so someone who struggles to talk to me if they're feeling upset, or someone who lashes out at me for things I've genuinely never done. If you can't be mature and speak to me like a grown up, I won't want to be with you.
Im sorry!!
sorry for the wait on this! Hope you like <3
I ship you with Demi Bourbon!
-Demi is also a social butterfly who can get along with all sorts of people. She’s highly adaptable, understanding, and friendly, almost to a fault. She’d be just as open and welcoming to you as she is anyone else, regardless of whether you’re in a peak social mood or feeling a little more awkward that day, so meeting and getting to know one another is easy.
-Demi is a very “go with the flow” type in regards to conversation, and she is a fortunate mixture of intuitive and forgiving that means she’s not likely to suddenly fly off the handle if you happen to say something insensitive or insulting (or for any other reason, really.) She prefers to get you alone if she can, quietly let you know that she doesn’t super appreciate whatever was just done or said, and then try to explain why. And if you apologize, she accepts, and what’s done is done.
-On that note, she struggles with deeper communication a little, only because she’s not the most eloquent speaker and sometimes struggles to verbalize her feelings effectively. In this sense, she’s also a bit of a rambler. But as long as you’re a patient and active listener, she’ll get her point across eventually.
-She also loves all kinds of music, and takes interest in other people’s hobbies. She’s not likely to hop up on a horse on her own any time soon, but she thinks it’s neat that you do! And you can talk to her about literally anything—for hours even, as long as she has a drink to keep her hands busy—and she’s completely enthralled the entire time. She remembers just about everything people tell her, and gives Words of Affirmation and Gifts as her love languages, referencing older conversations with those as much as possible.
-Demi isn’t afraid of the dark, but she thinks it’s kinda cute that you are. She wouldn’t make fun of you for it, but she does use it as an excuse to hold your hand and coddle you a bit. I have this cute image of you two settling down for the evening, and Demi holding your hand and charging down the hallway with you the second the light is flipped off. She’s giggling the whole time, and makes sure you get into the next room before her. She’ll be your shield from the monsters ;)
Runner Up: Lucky Guy

hi thanks for waiting so long! i had to take a bit of a break with tumblr cause of gcses but i can’t wait to see what you think of your matchup <3
your perfect matchup is 𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 💌
𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 <3
𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝟐 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 <3
okay so this took me an embarrassingly long time to decide between sirius and remus but ultimately sirius won out in the end because i am nothing if not an absolute sucker for a good opposites attract trope! 🎀
i think you two meet through mutual friends (remus and lily of course) at a weekend trip to hogsmede and just hit it off right away. it’s funny because you’ve heard so much about sirius, how he’s a relentless playboy, a troublemaker, a delinquent but to you he’s a perfect gentleman. which is confusing for everyone who witnesses it.
at first they all just think oh he’s immediately just decided that you’re only friend material because you’ve got so much in common but also different enough that that would work. so the two of you spend the whole day just hanging out and no one thinks much of it….
till sirius gets back to his dorm and tells remus ever so dramatically “i’m finished!” remus is obviously wtf???? and sirius rolls his eyes as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world and he’s all like “i’m finished with my hookups - i’m a changed man! there is one girl for me and i intend to be with her till the day i die” which is kinda like woah chill out! but also very cute :)
now i wouldn’t say you feel the same because you’re not insane but you are like “oh he was cute, hope i see more of him” kinda thing. anyways the point is you’re both into each other but of course don’t know that about one another because where’s the fun in that??? 😜
and sirius being sirius he doesn’t go about it in a normal way oh no he decides he’s gotta work out how to impress you first and you know what he’s gonna work that out as dog! such a sound plan!!! so whilst your sketching by the lake a large black dog potters over to you and lays at your feet. which obviously you think is adorable so you’re petting it and stroking it and just giving it sm attention (if only you knew it was sirius)
anyways it becomes like a habit for you and this dog. you go down to sketch and it joins you. you talk to it, sing, read and as you do all that sirius falls in love with you. meanwhile you to maintain a friendship as humans too but when sirius is in his animal form he sees a side to you in that time that no one else does. he falls so deeply and slowly like the way winter gently falls into spring. 🌷
he confesses in a similar way, you’re ranting to his dog form about how much you want sirius to ask you out. then suddenly you look up and there’s him boyishly grinning at you, dark hair flopping beautifully onto his forehead, he looks like a cursed prince of a forgotten land. when this happens your jaw literally drops and you’re throwing various explicates at him but he hushes you with five little words “may i please kiss you?” and forced into silence you nod cheeks burning.
he kisses you like you’re made of porcelain, a precious treasure which he cannot break, it’s prefect. when you two pull back to get your breath back you tell him teasingly “i still haven’t forgiven you for pretending to be a dog” and he says “will you forgive me if i ask if i can be your boyfriend?”you just laugh and kiss him again. sirius can’t remember a happier memory to that day. <3
𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 <3
very easy and comfortable very quickly, the two of you adjust naturally into a routine that’s right for the two of you. a very quiet sort of intimacy that tends to surprise onlookers - it’s not at all what people expect of sirius but that’s okay because you two just get it so why worry about anyone else?
sirius is very physically affectionate like literally super glued to your side for the rest of your life now so like enjoy that i guess… 🤨 okay jk it’s very endearing but also its perfectly okay to need breaks so don’t forget to remind him that you need your own space sometimes. i mean he’ll huff and he’ll puff but he’ll get it.
okay but do you know what his favourite thing in the world is? it’s when you play with his hair. picture this it’s a warm rainy summer evening he’s laying along the sofa in the common room, his mess of dark curls in your lap, your fingers toy and fiddle with them, absentmindedly humming along to the smiths vinyl which crackles in the background. it’s pure paradise for the both of you just cosy and warm and soft. god i’m so jealous of the two of you!
he’s always treating you to things! as heir to the black family fortune he’s got an insane amount of cash to splash and he’d much rather spend it on someone he actually cares about so he’s always buying you stuff. a top he thinks you’d look good in, a fancy hardback of your favourite book, or simply your favourite chocolate bar. doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, cheap or expensive, so long as you like it that’s all he cares about.
he thinks your sketches are the most beautiful things he’s ever seen. unfortunately i can’t promise that it’ll be easy for them to become more than sketches because god forbid your attention leaves him for half second. like you’ll be in the library sketching with him sat next to you and then suddenly your cheeks are being smothered with kisses and a hands trailing its way round your chair turning you to face him. what can he say he missed you? good thing he’s cute bcs he’s such a little shit you love that about him tho
it’s very, very rare that the two of you fight but he always apologises first! don’t get me wrong he sulks for a bit first because like he’s sirius black but then he catches your red rimmed eyes and all is forgiven. because he made you cry? yeah he sucks - he’s sorry pretty girl he’ll never to it again and he gives you full permission to kill him if he does.
also his friends love you! you’re exactly what sirius needs to balance him out. honestly they don’t know how you handle him but they’re not complaining! like please keep him for as long as you want him they’re all sick to death of him!
he proposes to you on the last day of school with his family signet ring. he knows he sounds crazy but he’s loved you from the minute he met you. he’ll give you a proper ring soon but for now he gives you his family ring because you’re his family now. you’re all the family he could ever want. his whole world <3
𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 <3
hope you like it! xoxo, flo <3

Okay so i have a few thoughts sorry obviously you don't have to answer i just want to write them down and you seem like a really sweet person so i thought i'll send it and maybe you or someone can add something to it🤗
Firstly we know that the band didnt expect atvb to go viral on tiktok and the really big popularity on the internet and i think matty once said that the play doesnt work well like that bc you cant film a play and im sure they're gonna count on satvb going viral and im really interested what kind of changes that would mean (maybe know phones but i dont think they would do that especially since the team75live's thing is to go live every concert and we know matty talked to them personally). But on the other hand after this year it seems like they only go viral if matty does something particularly stupid and/or offensive (i really hope not) so idk if it could influence the show in any way or exactly how but obviously the goal is to entertain the audience there not the internet.
Secondly atvb was 26 songs plus 10 minutes consumption and satvb is 22 songs then that would leave like what 25-30 minutes and im really really curious what they will do but i know we wont know it until the 26th but thats interesting i think bc it seems like too much time for me.
Okay lastly it seems like after the vegas show that atpoaim isnt over and thats really great but then it wasn't just something in between atvb and satvb and it'll continue and i had a thought bc tobias ryder said that satvb will continue what atvb started which was the on and off stage playing a character and atpoaim could be like a fourth wall break but after the north american tour announcement it didnt seem like it will be that but i hope at least
Im sorry its a bit long and i know we dont have the answers to any one of these so thx if you read it and have a nice day❤️
Of course, babe 🥰 you can always send stuff in I LOVEEE reading what other people think and the predictions and everything.
So, in terms of Atpoaim, here’s what I think about it’s relationship to the shows and it’s span.
As for the show itself, I do think that it’s going to evolve the ideas that began with ATVB, but I’m not entirely sure what direction it’s going to take. I think you are right. One of the first and earliest signs of Matty’s desire for change was when he would say stuff like “this show wasn’t meant to go viral” and stuff like that. And, in a sense, I get that. He’s never had to think about this additional layer of engagement. Usually, his work is within the context of the fandom. I think maybe this time around he’ll have the scenes be related to as specific theme or idea, but not entirely identical every night. Like he might still have a message behind what he wants to do/say, but he might try to approach it from different angles.
Also, yesterday, he used the words “introspective,” “Kafka” “joy division,” “Freud.” So I’m trying to think about what each of these concepts might have in common with his project and make a few guesses.
I would say, I can kinda see the hot division element. They’re very punk inspired but rather dark. Their lyrics were inspired by a lot of dystopian commentary. Taking the personal and connecting with the social. In exactly the ways that Matty’s show started out being about himself and turned into a show about being a man and the state of masculinity. And Kafka? Well, he’s the king of irony and absurdity. So, my guess is, matty is going to stretch that persona to new heights. The Freud reference and the “introspection,” make me think he’s going to draw on his ugliest and most personal feelings / thoughts and try to dramatize them. But of course inferiority is impossible to share publicly, which I’m guessing is where the irony comes in. That paradox of like how do you make the personal public without losing the authenticity. Usually, his answer to that is to lean into how ridiculous the whole rockstar persona is, but the question is, what makes this time different? What’s the point? Is it gonna be like super dystopian and depressing? Is he going to gesture towards a better future? Are we just fucked? Where does he stand right now? How does he feel about it all and how is it influencing his work?
I feel like this is where it’s all headed but idkkkk. Haha I’m super pumped to find out.

nicola hicks
nicola hicks is a british artist, who expresses a fascination with animal figures through her sculptures, although her interest doesnt lay in realism but capturing the animals essence and spirit, or sometimes she reinvents the animal in a more anthromorphic approach. Even in her sketches, you can see that shes interested in capturing the movement. Hicks prefers that her materials be adaptable, from plaster, straw and huge brown paper for her dynamic drawings. However, some of her sculptures do get cast in bronze due to the fragility of plaster and straw.
i specifically like the comparsion of her drawings to the sculptures, its interesting to see her initial study of the animal and then the execution. Its kind of similar to what ive been doing recently, where im remaking a drawing i made through sculpture. I do prefer the plaster straw sculptures before they are cast in the bronze, specifically due to its rigidness and the texture aswell the look of fragility seems symbolic too. i would like to focus less on the realism of my work too, something i feel like i may get caught up on sometimes. her reinvetion of the animal figure and meshing it with human parts reminded me of the bad taxidermy, which hasnt been done properly. it doesnt resemble much of the initial animal and usually looks like a different species, this is possibly something i could look more into.

Hi Sithi, how are you ? I'm Sab :) 🦆 You did a reading few years ago which was pretty accurate (omg time flies 😭😭) so I'm here today to ask you if I may have one please. My dob is still 11/10/1995. I don't have a particular question however I'm seeking a guidance regarding my upcoming year if you don't mind. Thank you for it and I do wish you a nice day 👀👁️
Hello Sab and welcome back! Thank you im good, I hope the same for you as well Time really flies huh?! Im so glad that the reading was helpful back then, I do remember it. One of the first ones on the blog. You know what is funny... I get lawyers, especially those who are just about to finish studies/start their career, literally all the time. An almost disproportionate amount. Maybe it's my fate to help budding lawyers along the way 😂
Although you technically sent this for September, since your birthday is coming up soon I thought I would make this more detailed than usual as an early gift 🥰
queen of swords. deconsecration wheel of fortune. death (sowing) XIII. DEATH "Death is the card of becoming. It signifies an imminent and difficult transition – the conclusion of one phase of life and the beginning of another. Inevitably, something gets lost during the transformation, but something else will rise and take its place." IDIOT: "Permanently reduce your intelligence by 1d4+1. You can draw one additional card beyond your declared draws." [Practice the art of persuasion. Enjoy rigorous intellectual discourse.] RHETORIC
Based on the cards, what I think is that you are kinda at a point in life right now where you are more or less satisfied with how things are going, or at least you are complacent about it. Not everything is going the best way it could, but your place either feels comfortable, or you feel like it would be too much work to get them in order, so you just kinda let them be as they are. You are in a maintenance mode, basically. And this is generally speaking completely okay, you don't have to do literally the most every day of every month. But it would be really good for you right now to "tighten the ship" so to speak.
There will be some really big changes coming into your future, that I interpret as immensely positive, but they are also quite drastic and you can only really take advantage of them if you are prepared for them beforehand. I think several areas of your life could benefit from a more organized approach, but that is probably a lot to change at once and it's my understanding that the area where this would benefit you the most is at work (though I'm not completely sure, so if you feel like this resonates differently you are probably right). Let me say an example. I don't know if THIS WILL happen but I feel like it's at least a realistic example of the kind of thing that MAY happen. Your boss is considering promoting someone at work to an extremely advantageous position, and they are thinking between you and another person, trying to decide. You would be the preferred candidate, and you WOULD be great for this position in theory, but your boss would like you to demonstrate that you have the organizational skills for such a leadership position as well. They dont tell you that though directly, they just kinda keep an eye on you, and you are just kinda coasting by at work at this moment, just straight up bing chilling. And to be honest, if you got the position today, you wouldn't be prepared for it either. So the other person gets promoted, and you will probably never even know that you were considered. But if you got your shit together a little, even if it's not perfect, your boss could see that you are trying and improving, and would eventually choose you.
Now, mind, I still want you to have a healthy relationship with your job situation, and get enough rest, and so on. What you need to do, is work smarter, not harder. Try to get your things in order, and make them more efficient. Change your routine today, and you will have plenty of time to get used to it and grow from it. The only thing that there is to it is that you gotta sow those seeds today so that you can enjoy the harvest at a later time. I don't think I can say anything more specific than that, but I will say one thing. The changes, though they will be drastic, what they will NOT be, is sudden. I think that the signs are gonna be there well beforehand, even if subtle. So keep your eyes peeled, pay attention to details, and especially to those things that people hint at but don't say. The information you gain will be quite helpful to you later. 👀

11, 14, and 17!
oh thank you for asking!!!
11: Link your three favorite fics right now
oughgh umm. excluding adaotc bc its not done yet and causes me strife. maybe Flesh And Blood bc i liked the imagery, Home Video Of The Joestar Family Christmas bc i liked writing the character interactions, and At The End Of It All bc i thought i wrote it rly well
14: How do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experience?
i kind of just get in the character’s head and write whatever i think of. sometimes i have a vibe that kinda informs the imagery/descriptions in the scene, like in the scene with josuke on the roof i wanted it to feel light blue and vacant. i think i usually feel the same emotions as the characters but mainly just as like tension in my veins. i used personal experience for what emotions feel like physically, or what someonw might be thinking or doing in certain situations, but i think i usually write abt scenarios that arent based on my life
17: What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)
😔😔😔😔 well sometimes what works if im stuck rewriting a scene over and over, is i try to approach it from a very different angle. so i can do a fresh spin on it instead of spinning my tires. also sometimes a scene just needs to end earlier or have less stuff going on in it. besides that i dont have anything else ahsjjw

I have once again rewritten this scene, poor angry prince has yet to return in this exact fashion however
So I've been rewriting certain things to make sure everything makes sense, and had been working on a scene that I realized doesnt make any sense with what we've seen, but I really liked some of it
So heres a picture of the angry Little Prince we'll never get to see, at least in the context this pic was made with.
#divine twili beast sky#little prince#this is making me angery#just a little#idk what it is with this scene#and the old scenes arent bad#theyre jyst either too long#or the beginning doesnt thread as seemlessy as it should#theres like a billion different approaches and im still figuring out which one i should take#if i had someone to bounce off of this might be easier but like#oof to me lmao#ill figure it out#i could put them side by side and layer them from how easy they would be for me to draw in a timely manner#which one is less time consuming as in is it 11 pages or just a nice 7#does it convey what i want it to#and does it meet the end goal of that update#so we'll see#with dtbs and bt#i try ti have something significant happen each update#and usually big events are all in one update as im trying to get through the most significant stuff#so i can go through event by event#kind of nonlinead story telling that makes my dumbass brain happy#so like i really have to plan out my pages cuz i only get 10 pages 1080 by 1080 to tell the story#with bt i expand that with writing#but writing hard#and also i dont know if i wanna write for dtbs cuz a lot of thr story telling relys on visuals#sublte things that just hide in the distance or on lower opacity#so yeah#we'll see how it goes

any thoughts abt self aware akatsuki? they seem to be very devoted to their goals and the ones they cherish, while also being especially dangerous at times so im curious as to how you can basically approach the super yandere side of them n all, they seem like some real awesome guys ngl.
Starting this off by saying that I haven´t read too many stories featuring Akatsuki so some of my ramblings may be a bit out of character! I hope you still enjoy this though!

tw yandere, obsession, mention of violence
Self-aware Yandere! Akatsuki
I think I mentioned it before in an ask that talked about sticking to Kuro and Souma before but you´d definitely be kept safe from any physical harm if you stuck around Akatsuki. Souma has his sword that he wouldn´t hesitate to use on anyone that threatened you, Kuro who is trained in martial arts and had a delinquent phase, and even Keito was the former captain of the archery club.
They´re all very protective of you and while Keito is more-so the type that wards off the other characters with his words and frequent scoldings, he would be willing to use his bow to eliminate a target if he felt like it was the only option.
Keito is usually pretty strict, even with his fellow members in Akatsuki, so it´s even more noticeable when he gets soft around you. It´s like he´s a completely different person and even though he would occasionally scold you when you got into trouble or were hanging around other idols too much, there would be no bite in his words.
He tries to keep his infatuation hidden from you so he mostly acts on his own urges by instead drawing or writing out the scenarios that he wishes he could enact with you in real life. His stories just happen to be romances where the two main characters strongly resemble both of you. There he can let his thoughts run wild and he can imagine holding you close or kissing you as much as he likes. He wouldn´t admit to doing this, especially not to you, but soon Keito gets commissioned by other idols to draw the same kind of scenarios for them.
He doesn´t like doing it, no doubt about it
Kuro is very caring towards you and doesn´t want you to be scared of him because of his outer appearance. He loves sewing new clothes for you and he also loves seeing you wear them because it´s almost like you´re wearing a part of him. He spends so many hours sewing these outfits too, he´s not sparing any efforts. Also, his little sister probably knows of you from how often Kuro talks about you at home and has more than once asked if you two were dating or when you would finally get married.
Kuro is a very protective yandere, wanting you to be safe at all times, which is why he would stick around you a lot. It´s the best way to make sure nothing happens to you, right? Honestly just having someone strong looking like Kuro standing next to you is probably enough to keep most strangers from ever approaching you. He´s usually not fond of how different his appearance is from his true character, but he feels like in this case it´s very beneficial. For the most part, he doesn´t need to lift a finger to keep you safe.
Of course, that doesn´t work with the other idols that know what Kuro really is like, they´re still going to want to talk to you. So it´s only in these moments where Kuro would actively shield you from “harm” by standing right between the both of you and telling the other person to leave. He doesn´t really want to get violent in front of you, so he holds himself back if he can help it. He´s more likely to “visit” the person later and throw a few punches there where you can´t see what he´s doing.
Souma is probably the one most likely and prepared to commit violence in your honor. He comes from a proud samurai family and so he holds ideas like honor in very high regard. He always carries around a sword and he´s determined to use it to protect the people that he thinks are worth protecting. Naturally, you are one of these people. He looks up to you for all you have done for Akatsuki and him specifically while you were still playing the game and possessing Anzu. You always knew exactly what to say and do to make sure things move along well and Souma greatly admires you for that. It´s no surprise that he puts you on a bit of a pedestal. In his eyes, you can do no wrong and so anyone that opposes you is automatically wrong. His old-fashioned ideals don´t really help him with this black-and-white thinking either.
Souma is also very emotionally driven which only further urges him to protect you from any perceived harm. He´s another one that wants to be around you at all times to make sure that you´re safe. He can´t bear the thought of anything happening to you, the kindest and most gracious person to ever exist. Anyone that disagrees must simply meet the end of his blade.
Different from Keito for example, Souma wouldn´t try to hide the fact that he´s pretty obsessed with you. He´s honest to a fault and thus likes to proclaim how important you are to him and how he would do absolutely anything if you asked him to.
The serious tone in his voice tells you that he isn´t joking around.
