#perpetua progress notes#THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE A JOKE. like rn all i know is that luna cannot exile damien in good conscience.#its not going to be like like 'oi stop making trouble get out of here' and he sends them to the void like with xisuma and ex.#luna caring about the kids is one of the things that changes the context of events so he's going to need to think that he's saving damien#maybe by sending them to a different world where the gods can't touch them. like putting them in a low stakes slice of life anime for a bit#which brings me to the option of making him send damien (and avery eventually) to aotearoa new zealand.#like yes. you could joke that its because nothing ever happens there.#but if we step into luna's shoes for a bit: it's *relatively* safe compared to places like the us.#most people speak english. theres healthcare.#major urban areas are pretty culturally diverse so it's likely to be decently safe for 2 queer asian kids specifically.#and they won't have to worry about spiders.#like. sticking damien in a boarding school in new zealand isnt an ideal situation but its better than having them repeatedly traumatised#by a goddess who wants to keep throwing Plot and cosmic horror at them.#damien does not end up going there by some twist of fate. but the exile arc could've just been the kids doing ncea.
