H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.) Pretty well groomed. He takes good care of his hair, not that there's much. He's blond I'm pretty sure and also white, yeah I don't think he has much hair. BUT, I think he has pubic hair that he keeps trimmed whenever he has the time. Otherwise I think he's pretty hairless in terms of body hair, I'd say he's almost hairless

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect) Very intimate, he sees sex as an intimate act with his partner. That being said tho, he will like it rough if he's in the right mood for it.

J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon) I don't think he masturbates when he can be with his s/o. Like if you are in the army with him and are on deployment at the same time then he wouldn't jack off really. T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?) Doesn't own toys himself but is open to trying some with his partner

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) I think he'd tease a fair bit, but not too much. Think will enjoy it more if his s/o is easily frustrated and begs for him to do something or stop the teasing

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.) Pretty quiet. Will let out a lot of groans and a few moans here and there

My first ask! 😮 For your Encanto OC x Animal Crossing villagers mashup (your designs are so cute), I'd love to see what you do with Esme!

Character design is not my strength 😅 so her outfit isn't very exciting, but she also wears a green rebozo and/or a green 50's-style skirt, if that helps.

I think her personality would probably be either "cranky" ("No biting.") or "smug"/"snooty" (especially with the townspeople)? No idea about her favorite phrase, but maybe something teaching/science related?

As for what animal she'd be...um...ANY, right?? Take your pick! 😂 There are no ringtails in Animal Crossing but there are tanuki (the Nooks' relative from Mexico? lol), or a raven (bird), a puma (tiger or lion without mane?), and of course there's always a bear. But really, she could be anything!

Now, if we talk about design - you are right, Esmeralda could be anyone, but I liked your remark about a ringtail so much that i dumped all my previous ideas on other animal species haha. Bruno is a rat and I'm thinking of making one of my OCs a capybara, so it's not a big deal if AC doesn't have a specific species. Also, love your design - it doesn't need to be exciting to be efficient! (although, I totally wouldn't call it NOT exciting, just look at all those nice details, I mean, feather earrings??? awesome!)

My sketches with other ideas + figuring out the ringtail design are under the cut. Initially, I wanted to make Esmeralda all cute with big wide-open eyes, but it didn't match the phrase I came up with, based on your 'No biting.' comment, so here you go, the final result!

So now that the fic has been finished for a bit I have some questions about the making of Partners and Paper Trails. I'm just curious about what it was like to write it (and wondering whether my experiences writing for this fandom are universal). No pressure to answer!

Generally speaking, did you find Harry's chapters or Kim's chapters harder/easier to write?

Which parts of the fic (either POV) were your favorite to write? Alternatively, which parts were unexpectedly frustrating?

From what I understand, you wrote the entire fic ahead of time and then edited it as you went along, but didn't start publishing it until the first draft was entirely finished. Do you have any advice for someone who's attempting to write a long fic following a similar process?

(as a secret fourth question, if there's any hidden lore/details that people didn't seem to pick up on/something else fic related you want to share and haven't had the opportunity to, I'm all ears. love me some secret lore 👀)

Sorry it took me so long to respond, I was working on my response instead of working and then I was like crap, I should probably do work, and then I actually went out and did stuff with people irl for once lol. So now I'm back home and can answer this!

There were aspects of both that were difficult. I spent a whole other fic in Kim's head so I had more practice with him, but I think Harry ended up being a little easier or at least more fun. I could break up reactions and thoughts into each of his aspects vs the solid paragraphs of Kim's chapters. You also can just do more wacky stuff with Harry and his skills. However, it was hard to remember all of the skills. Like, I did Encyclopedia so dirty. After a point I kind of just forgot about him or didn't feel like thinking up facts for him to chime in about lol

My favorite thing to write is dialogue, especially when Kim and Harry are really getting into the groove of the case and when they get their little banters going. I also really like competence porn so Harry wasn't nearly as much of a mess as he could be in game. It was a bit of a wish fulfillment fic in that I wanted to see Harry doing better for himself and not just for Kim. I think directly after Martinaise he probably was doing worse than the point he's at in the start of the fic.

The hardest part was writing the case and trying not to make it too obvious (but it definitely was so I had to hope people enjoyed it regardless haha). I'd never done a mystery before so coming up with what happened and how/what they discovered was challenging. So I guess that's not really unexpectedly difficult. Writing the actual porn was unexpectedly frustrating! A majority of what I write is smut so it was like "why is this so difficult???". I had to get that last chapter perfect (I still don't think it is, but what writer ever does) because I dragged it out long enough and I didn't want to let anyone down. It's very different from what I originally had. I also had never written d/s before, thankfully my editor has experience in that realm so he had really good pointers even though it's really light in the fic lol. I still don't know how successful I was with the smut for this one.

Some people can just write and post as they go, but I have way too much anxiety to start posting something that isn't finished. I also have way too much ADHD to trust that once I started something I actually would finish it. I've also seen too many fics that don't know or don't want to quit so they just keep going past the point where it would have been a good/interesting ending (not really in this fandom, I just mean in general). So, yes, I finished it, had my editor do an initial read, made some general edits based on his feedback, and then he did a more in-depth edit of the first few chapters and then I started posting them. Some chapters I added a lot more to them during this stage and some chapters stayed pretty much the same. There are a few chapters that haven't been edited because he was unexpectedly unavailable for an extended period of time and I didn't want to stop the momentum. I didn't really have a beta reader for this one, but I asked a few people to beta specific chapters. It's not something I typically would want, I'd have preferred to have a beta for all of it, but it is what it is (or was rather). So all of that is to say, you don't have to do it that way lol, but I would at least have an outline and stopping point and stick to it. And if you want a beta reader, find someone who's opinion you trust and who you can trust will be honest with you. Also don't get rid of anything entirely. If you like something, but it doesn't work, cut it and paste it in a separate document because you might find a way to bring it back or parts of it back in other places. Also make copies for version control. Once I finished it, I made a copy so if I changed something too much in the final version but didn't like it, I could either refer back to or restore parts from the original.

As for secret lore/things no one mentioned:

In the first chapter, when Mollins first flips the siren on, Harry has an adverse reaction to the sound because of his encounter with The Pigs. Then there's an Esprit De Corps check about her listening to her police shows. (Hilarious fact: I couldn't remember her real name correctly at first and before I double checked the wiki I thought it was Marine Le Pen loool)

This goes back to the first fic, but Kim bought a book on how to support someone in addiction recovery and the receipt shows he bought it when he first started as a detective with Eyes. If you take the radiation drug in the game, there's mention of Kim possibly having had a partner with addiction. Also based on his many comments on seeing officers in much worse condition and having only one partner, I'm guessing he's talking about Eyes so I went with that. I still have no idea what exactly happened with Eyes in my story, though.

Shivers helps Kim open the door to the Linnea.

The reason Johnny's body was dropped off in the Harbor is because there had been a bank robbery in Jamrock at the time and there were cops everywhere looking for anything suspicious. That's a tidbit that didn't make it into the text.

The people in Harry's Shivers check in the first part of his final POV chapter are the people that would have been targeted next.

hey I'm curious about the switch to Pathfinder! could you go into how your group decided to change & what the process of switching over is like?

(I've started running 5e for my friends last year and the idea intrigues me. I'd love to hear your thoughts)

Just a quick summary up top because I've been thinking about this post awhile: Pathfinder 2e has the most readily available free system content and the Pathbuilder 2e app helped all our players with an easy creation process.

In what probably comes as no shock, the Wizards of the Coast open gaming license controversy was the prompt to change. We have a game that's been recording with the goal of being a podcast, and after we all talked it out we decided we couldn't stay with D&D for that specific game.

The choice to go with Pathfinder was ultimately convenience and availability. Because the majority of the resources for Pathfinder are free online with the blessing of the company owning the system, it meant everyone could access the basics. The similarities also made it easier to transition over for most of us, and our DM had the books already available. The majority of the group also wanted to do more with the characters which meant the move had to be something where we could preserve them as best as possible.

I think what really cemented it for the whole group were two apps:

Second Edition Character Sheet - This is a simplified Pathfinder 2e character sheet that does not have many features or all the options in the game, but gives a great feel for how the creation system works. Most descriptions of it I find labyrinthine or counterintuitive, and this app made it much easier to see how various skills and stats are assigned in the game.

Pathbuilder 2e - I think everyone is using this app now because it has basically every single option in Pathfinder 2e you can consider for a character, and a very easy to use system for editing and tweaking your concepts, or just playing around to see how the system works. My nonbinary wife who generally hates mechanics and stats jumped right in and made a super good character almost immediately, so it's very new user friendly too. We do end up needing to use the Pathfinder website in conjunction for a lot of the process, but realistically it's no different than being new to 5e and using DnD Beyond, other than that it's not trying to get you to shell out extra money all the time.

So far all we've done is the character creation process, although as I understand it the main difference in game play is critical roles are more common in 2e. However, as creation goes, Pathfinder is very difficult to create outside the box compared to 5e. For example, in 5e I was able to make my orcish sprite as a Ranger with negative strength and intelligence but thanks to high dexterity and some judicious use of spells allow her to be the party tank with the capacity to immediately charge into danger further and faster than anyone else.

This is more or less impossible in 2e until higher levels, which I don't like because I need my character to be both ignorant and irresponsible because I think that's hilarious. Fortunately I was able to more or less jury rig something, but in general I find the creation process a bit less diverse - despite the fact that 2e has a huge number of background and class options compared to 5e.

Additionally, while 2e has a reputation as having more rules, many of the specific features have not been as well defined as 5e. This means you'll need to somewhat define functionality between yourself and your DM in some situations.

Something everyone noticed during creation, even our DM, was that 2e offers a great deal more options for building a campaign around intrigue, politics, crime, science fiction, or basically any other number of options that aren't combat focused. I think our campaign may end up more city oriented just to take advantage of those options, and because some of us love that style of story.

Overall, I think I like Pathfinder just a bit more for the point distribution and character design. If you're planning to start fresh, it's a very exciting system, either if you want a stand up knock down slugfest or if you want to play a scheming vizier plotting the king's downfall. However, the base characters lack some variety and if you plan to move a 5e character over expect some tradeoffs or potentially for it to be flat out impossible.

I am now 100% convinced that Zvtara fans haven't watched the show. I just talked Ina comment with one. So far they have said that

a) Zuko was sweet and tried to return Katara's necklace to her

b) Zuko could have used something other than the necklace to track them down like Appa fur but he kept that necklace because he knew it was important

c) Zuko is a bad boy archetype (fanon Zuko maybe, canon Zuko is a very awkward guy) and is similar to Jet (the actual bad boy archetype who was charming, charismatic, generally things that Zuko wasn't)

d) Sokka is YOUNGER than Katara and not as capable as her (when I corrected them they said that I'm right but they made that conclusion because he's more immature and a running gag/comic relief. What the heck, the guy invented submarines!!)

e) Katara initially blamed the Avatar for the war like everyone else did (Katara in the very first episode "The Avatar will return and save the world, I believe it", Katara in "The Storm": Defends Aang when the fisherman blames him for the war and tells him that the Air Nomad genocide is not his fault)

Seriously how can someone claim to watch the show and yet make so many mistakes on key things like SOKKA'S AGE?!? Then at the end of their comment they were like "if you pay attention to the show overall, Zuko and Katara make more sense". EXCUSE ME? How am I the one that has to pay attention to the show??

Holy shit, SOOOOOO much bullshit. I don't know how you and I both didn't go insane reading something so stupid.

Zuko didn't use the necklace to track the Gaang (how would that even work?) and he didn't keep it because he somehow knew it meant a lot to Katara and wanted to return to her just to be kind.

He saw something that he recognized belonged to someone in the Gaang, thought it could maybe be used to bribe/blackmail to get the Avatar if it really was important - and then did exactly that. There's a reason that moment happened in "The Waterbending Scroll", with Zuko manipulating the pirates to get closer to capturing Aang. He was NOT being kind, he was taking a page from Azula's book on "How to get a dumbass to be useful."

Yeah, JET was the charming bad boy archetype Katara couldn't help but swoon over. Zuko was an angry, emotional, awkward guy who was on the wrong side 5/6 of the show, and that Katara tried to convince Aang to just let freeze to death in the North Pole. Once again, Zutarians ship everything EXCEPT Zuko and Katara.

While I wouldn't call Sokka useless or a bad character, I will say that there are situations in which Katara IS more capable than him - and vice versa. Between the two of them, if I need someone to teach me how to use a sword, I'm picking Sokka. But if I need someone to teach me to heal, I'd pick Katara. Different people are more/less capable at different things.

...That being said, goddamn, what's with Zutara fans and shitting on Sokka (or literally anyone that has a positive relationship with Katara)? I remember seeing a dumbass claim Sokka didn't even love her at all, that the Gaang never saw her as a friend but just as their replacement mom, and, of course, the old bullshit that she had to do everything until Karl Zuko Marx, the prince charming himself, came to her rescue in this weird Cinderella AU they made up inside their head.

Bruh, that last point was just... wow. Just wow. Katara had faith in the Avatar before even knowing he was still alive, had the feeling Aang was filled with wisdom before knowing who he was, and in the beginning of EVERY SINGLE EPISODE she tells us about how she 100% believes he will save the world. If that's resenting him and blaming him for the war, I can't even imagine what Katara having faith in him would look like. Girl would straight up start a religion to worship him.

And this gets extra funny when we remember "Crossroads of Destiny", in which Katara says to ZUKO that for the longest time she pictured HIS face as "the face of the enemy."

It's almost like Katara resented the prince of the nation that started the war, the member of a royal family that killed her mom, the guy that threatened to burn what was left of her village and that had spent months trying to capture one of her best friends...

Nah, that doesn't make sense. Instead, she totally hated the guy she was best friends with from start to finish.

So yeah I wanna give an honest answer to this, if anyone else feels the same way and maybe wants to have a discussion (though the whole anon thing feels like talking to a wall) you can really just talk to me. Ngl I am incredibly emotional and quick to get defensive, but the beauty of messages on the internet is is that I can give myself time to calm down and be rational and process these emotions before I respond. So Anon I hope that once you've hopefully seen my response that if you still feel a certain type of way about it that you can maybe give me the same courtesy. I just think that there's enough hate to hate communication on the internet already and I'd honestly truly appreciate the effort.

To start of I think it's ignorant to say that how I choose to enjoy my favourite media is ''uwuw-waifu bullshit''. People enjoy different things in many different ways. The way I do it is no different from D&D. There is a world with lore and characters that i adore and I love it so much that I want to experience it through something I've made. Making a character for a franchise is connected to so much research on the source material, as careful as it was crafted I take the time to think of many different ways to integrate a whole new person that hypothetically could fit like a DLC or you know, my player character (sometime it is more indepth than other times, but I always do research one way or the other).

Being put into Links shoes is a predetermined lens which i can enjoy as it's own story, but to me, I like to be a part of it either with a straight insert or an otherwise character of my own making. A tale of legend and heroic deeds is but one perspective and I love to see in what different ways this story or world can be enjoyed and looked at. And i don't think that this is wrong or something to look down upon. Just as is romance within that world and other bonds and relationships one will create and connect to their creation. Like how I made the windfish my OC's Father.

It is so much more than you make it out to be and I have had so many people throuought my art journey come to me and grief because they were bullied for simply having an oc be romantic with a canon character or god forbid a selfinsert or mary sue (and most of them were children, though I was more sad about the adults who's passion was taken from them before they could fully explore it). It is makebelief and hurts no one just because these people decided to share these scenarios with other people. I hope that in the future you can be less dismissive about that. I think it's important that we take the time to be kind, even if there's something we might disagree with and want to debate.

Now to the main point. To put it simply I think a character is allowed to be it's own entity regardless of intent, if ofcourse the intent isn't explicitly stated. (Like for example when they literally have Barack obama as a character in South park etc. Then that's not a refrence but a depicition) Which in this case it isn't actually. While researching what came up was filled with ''maybe'', ''possibly'', ''probably'' etc. More importantly though the game itself never states it and a game and franchise should always be able to be judged on it's contents alone wihtout outside remarks people may or may not have made.

Then there's also another character within the game. Botrick. His wiki also eludes to the fact that he might be a homage to Satoru. Wikis however are all written by fans and we can all just speculate even if the probability is very likely. The difference however is that Botrick shares a similar appearance with Satoru while the lord of the mountain has a similar name and I think both are tributes in their own right. Though Botrick may be a physical reference while Satori is a sort of spiritual tribute to him as a mentor and guardian figure. But it's still it's own character. Both of these characters aren't Satoru, the same as how actors aren't synonymous with the characters they play.

Also what if someone doesn't do deep dives into wikis and articles and forums? What if someone simply plays the game, enjoys it and make characters, contents AU's for it? What if had only read the genral wiki and not scrolled down to the trivia section where people first brought up it might be a tribute? I don't think that it should be neccessary to first get a bachelors degree in order to enjoy a game in fear of missing a detail that although never mentioned in the game was once maybe hinted at by someone. It feels like a roundabout and tiring way to enjoy a medium. And you should give people a fair chance and not come at them so aggressively, even if you're emotionally charged.

Having said all that, I was actually hesitant to make this idea I had using Satori for the same reason haha. Since I generally don't like characters that are meant to be real life people ( the same I don't like to ship with characters that are in canon relationships (hence i dropped Sidon UU ). With Satori however I felt it's removed enough that it's not an issue for me as explained above.

But I'm not opposed to the idea of changing a few things up! Names are changed in the blink of an eye and i am not uncreative enough to be incabalbe of thinking of different ways to incorporate my design into the lore. I could make it a blupee instead, or a descendant, or otherwise further removed entity with close ties to Satori. (My OC Dreem was close to being something like that before I thought of the windfish!) I simply adore these nature god archetypes like the forest god in princess mononoke and since in it's lore Satori was a sage before that died the idea of a humanoid version wasn't too far off for me.

So yeah, tell me what you think, I'm open for discussion and how other people see it as long as you give me the same courtesy and time that I did to formulate an appropiate response! I hope that we can all be kind to eachother and I wish you all a wonderful day!

Mercy nickered and they pulled apart, Vilkas moving to loosen her girth for the break, glancing to see Sarlfi rubbing his hand between Wheat's ears, obviously giving them space. He glanced over at them after a moment and smiled.

"Either of you up for something to eat while we wait?"

"You want to wait for Serana and Lewin to catch up?" Copper asked, moving to join him.

He nodded to the side where Erik leaned forward on his knees, CuSith flopped in the shade of a nearby tree, the undead hound's flanks rising with rapid breaths.

"Death Hounds breathe?" Copper asked, Vilkas moving toward Erik.

"Apparently," Sarlfi said. "I honestly have no idea how they're created. I'll have to ask Lel if she knows."

"Lel?"

"My packs resident Hagraven," he said cheerfully, Erik looking up swiftly.

"There's a Hagraven there?" he asked, worry heavy in his scent.

Sarlfi shrugged. "There is. She'll not bother you, and you might find it useful to talk to Vice, the Briarheart with our pack as well."

"Why?" he wondered, tugging his hood further over his face, giving Vilkas a sheepish smile when he shepherded him more fully into the shade.

"He's undead," he explained. "The ritual and the end result are very different from vampirism. But there's some similarities there as well. Particularly how he was changed."

"What do you mean?" Erik wondered. "How was he changed?"

"That's not my story to tell," he said gently. "If he's feeling talkative, I suspect he'll tell you himself. So long as you treat him respectfully."

"I think I can manage that," he agreed.

"How are you holding up?" Vilkas wondered, sniffing the air, checking for signs of hunger.

"The spell Lewin cast is still working. I can control myself, you don't need to worry about that."

"Did he really offer to kill you?" he asked, glancing at CuSith when he growled. 

"Yes. I was lamenting my future when he suggested it," he explained, straightening and leaning against the tree. "I hate not being able to go into the sun," he grumbled, folding his arms over his chest, smelling irritated.

"Did he try to push you to accept?" he pressed.

"No." He gave him a small smile. "He seems concerned about my well being. Reminds me of you in that way, to be honest."

He tilted his head. "Does he?"

hi!! I wanted to ask about your work with dragons! if you're comfortable, could you sort of explain how you view them in context of your spirituality/how you work with them? like are they similar to historic dragons of folklore or are they something else? seeing dragons as spiritual beings is an entirely new thing to me (I'm a pagan, but I don't consider myself a witch) and I'd really love to hear more about it!!! :3

This is a cool question, ty anon! Apologies, this is a pretty long and rambly; I really like talking about dragons, hence the whole entire blog for it :D Feel free to send in another ask if something here isn't clear or I misinterpreted your questions^^

My belief in dragons, if I'm honest, is very UPG/personal experience. Something that, in my experience, anyone who's worked with dragons extensively* will probably tell you "Yeah it's a lot of just working with whatever you learn on your own, no one's beliefs will look the same. It's not something you can really research online or in books much." *I am not nor do I claim to be one of these people. I still feel new to dragon work, although I will acknowledge that if we're counting any time spent with them as "work" I've been doing that for years lol.

All that out of the way; I view them primarily as astral entities. Divinity in a sense, I suppose, although I feel- and I think they feel- like it's laughable to call them "above me." But that's more about my experience of divinity as an ally rather than an authority figure- I don't view any deity as above me, just bigger and different. (Sort of like a human to a small animal of sorts. We're not above them in my opinion, we're not better, but our experience of the world is fundamentally different and we can see things/understand things that they can't.)

WHOOPS philosophy aside; I view them as astral/nonphysical entities, and while the historical mythology is a huge part of my reason for believing in them* it only has so much sway in my practice. I have ADHD that makes research difficult, so most of it is just... what I've felt, seen, and done. I do believe the dragons I work with are the reason for historical mythology, but since they're idividuals, it wouldn't be all that much help anyway. Looking at the whole of America wouldn't tell you shit about me, as a weird comparison. *seeing as just about every culture has a "dragon" of sorts but we can't trace their origin point because they all came up with it independently.

Right now my work with them looks pretty similar to my deity work. I don't do spells or any such thing often, so it's mostly just chatting and enjoying each others presence. I ask for help when I need it, or for insight, but to be honest mostly right now my work with dragons looks like my familiar popping in like "Hey, you should value ur inner child and playfulness should have a place in your spirituality" and popping back out. Mostly I think they're leaving me to settle into my identity as a dragonkin (just in case you're from my main: my soul is that of a dragon/I have past lives as a dragon, it's a whole Thing) before forming a relationship with me. Something about figuring out what being a dragon means to me and what that looks like before seeing what it means to them so I don't assume that my identity has to look like theirs.

I love to see silly sibling interactions and I like to imagine the "tells" that Najma points out to Jamil to how she found him out so easily are super specific details, she's like "Oh cmon! spiderman doing the EXACT same thinking pose as you do?" And the idea she's the one to make Jamil's proper spiderfit is such a sweet idea :0 I'd imagine he would endup looking awesome in that! (Even if in turn he has to do some more chores.. but who knows, maybe he thinks of an easier way from being Spiderman

With Ace and Jamil's interaction I do like to imagine Ace being a massive pain especially with how he is in general, from seeing his SSR shared vignette with Deuce he'll likely pull through when spiderman is in an especially rough patch with bluffing and his speech skills. Though maaaaybe he ends up blabbing a hint to one of the villains on accident and that ends up in a Not Good Situation

And while I'm not super familiar with all the spiderman villains I do like the idea of some of them also being NRC students! Real tricky to be spiderman when someone who wants you down is your chemistry project buddy..

Being a public enemy as spiderman would be hard too, trying to resolve the accusation of murdering the second prince and all. I'd imagine the way it gets resolved was via "trying to talk it out while also having a massive fight" with like idk, Falena? Or the Zazu character that I forgor what his twst versions name is, could be interesting. This would probably then get interrupted by a Worse Baddie causing a Worse Situation for Everyone that must be stopped and hopefully redeems spiderman in their eyes

I don't know a parallel villain i could make from official spiderman lore, though reading on a few villains, I do see a sorta common thing of evil smart people or less than normal criminals if anyone else has a more concrete idea! :0 Also Jack as the Prowler is a really neat idea! I wonder what the motivation is for everyone hmm

OH and before I forget I don't know if I mentioned yet but do you think Jamil may have some more unique spiderpower along with the ones every spiderperson usually has? I wonder if he could still use his Signature Spell in the form of spideyness

HMMM about unique powers, I initially thought about an ability related to a spider's venom of some sort. Even though the toxins of spider bites are usually not that serious, but who cares! Maybe we could even make something up to add to this venom ability, like- maybe the spider that bit him was genetically modified to have a venom as strong as a snake's!

Another ability I was thinking about, now more related to Jamil's signature spell, could be something similar to using his webs like strings to control the people caught in them like a puppeteer, if that makes sense?

Had a rough sickly night BUT I want to discuss something.

Let's go with an assumption that each companion of Satoshi's will get that one last hurrah.

We have Kasumi, Takeshi and Dent confirmed by now for first three eps time.

That would leave 8 eps unaccounted for still. NOW... how many are left?

Note, I think one ep might have to be dedicated to Shigeru, or, he appears alongside someone else, like Hikari or Iris for SOME reason. Just, that's not the point of the discussion right now.

How many companions are left?

Hikari, Iris, Lilie, Suiren, Kaki, Mamane, Mao, Kenji, Haruka, Masato, Citron, Eureka, Serena, Koharu, Gou... I didn't forget anyone, right? That makes it, *counts* 15 (fifteen) companions left.

Now, Alola Squad would most likely appear together, so group them up for one ep. Minus 5 companions, minus one episode.

Group up Haruka and Masato for one ep. Maybe if we go by the cameo appearance in Masters Tournament, add Serena here too. Minus one ep and minus 3 companions. Well, in a sense we cannot guarantee Haruka appearance because of VA issues, but in case she would, I'd put her alongside Serena.

We're left with 6 episodes and 7 companions. Pretty good so far.

Now, Citron and Eureka would also be in an episode together, and I think some people would love Serena to reunite with them too, so it's a good alternative. Minus 2 companions and one ep.

5 eps left and 5 companions. Kenji probably will remain silent honestly. So maybe remove him from the list completely lol.

Koharu and Gou I feel like would show in same ep in similar manner to how JN136 ended, as in, they all end up in same location and actually meet up by coincidence. One ep and 2 companions off the count.

And we are now at 4 eps and Only Hikari and Iris left. Shigeru could appear alongside Hikari to remind us of the "son of that Senryuu guy" gag, asjhfgsjfh, but I guess he could have a random appearance too.

ANYWAY, the point of this post was to see how many episodes could be used for companions and still have room for just old Pokémon return focus only. And it's looking to be two eps. Most likely ep 5 would be among that list (unless Shigeru ends up being related to THAT episode :D), so the finale could then be everyone or something.

So, in conclusion, if they group up companion appearances: they do indeed have enough episodes to showcase them. I'm just not sure if I'm ready to jump on this train yet. Guess it depends on what new info we get on MPM04 and MPM05.

Day 4: Mutual Pining <3

"And it's just like... I know he's flirting with us as a joke or by accident or whatever. But last week he told me I had really pretty eyes, and I literally– just, like, butterflies, you know... Do you think it's true?"

Lotte sucked a bit of cream from her bun off of her thumb and looked down at the blonde laid down on the grass next to her. He blinked up at her with big brown doe eyes, cheeks flushed from the excitement of his rambling. "Objectively, you know," he amended slightly.

Lotte laughed softly under her breath. It was funny how every one of these biweekly picnics they had ended up leading to one of Frank's rants about how pretty and amazing his crush was. Still, she didn't mind. It helped him get it out of his system.

"I'd say so," she nodded, kindly. Frank brightened briefly, and then went straight back to where he was.

"Also, you should have seen what he wore when we went to see that new Marvel film on Saturday," Frank said, growing excited again. "Like, it was just a t-shirt and some ripped jeans, not something that meant he was actively looking for the attention– Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course."

"Of course."

"But," Frank put up a finger. "The jeans were... shapely. It's not weird to say he has a great butt, is it?"

Lotte took another bite from her dessert, nodding along. "No weirder than anything else you've told me."

Frank laughed a little at that. "Yeah, that's probably true," he said, a little more humbly. He flipped from where he'd been laying on his back on the grass to his side, propping himself up a bit on his elbow. He rested his cheek in his palm. "If I may make a Nightfall reference here–"

"Of course, you may." It had taken perhaps a week of their budding friendship for Lotte to recommend the book to Frank. She'd worried that he'd shoot the idea down immediately, finding the request weird at best, irritating at worst. But Frank was much too adventurous for that, and ended up getting sucked into it as much as she had. To say they had become insufferable around each other towards others was an understatement.

"You know how I once said that the main reason anyone ships Arthur and Edgar together is because everyone loves the whole sweetheart and brooding partner dynamic?"

"That's you two, huh?" Lotte giggled.

Frank laughed in unison with her. "Exactly!" Then his expression turned a little sadder. "Or, at least, it would be. If he'd only notice me that way..."

To Frank's surprise, Lotte was still laughing. "Hey!" he exclaimed, in mock annoyance. "What's so funny? I am in a crisis!"

Lotte shook her head, trying to excuse herself. "I'm sure he'll notice any day now, and you can have your happily ever after."

In truth, Lotte couldn't help but think back to some previous conversations with Akko, after her own coffee meetings with Andrew. How Frank's brooding brunette was going on similar, if a little more refined, rambles about the blonde himself. In that same desperate, lovesick way. Akko had wanted to compose a way to get the two of them together at last, but Lotte had thought against it. She wanted to see how either of them fared without interference.

They'd get it... eventually. Hopefully.

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

Hmm, I get them from a lot of similar sources like you said. From non-fiction (I can think of 2 fics off the topic of my head that directly sprang from something I read). From writing notes down while reading/watching/playing canon when something happens that sparks a question or idea. From prompts or daydreaming.

I do still wonder where it actually COMES from though. For example, when I'm daydreaming, what causes ideas to appear? It makes me nervous because it doesn't seem to be something I actively do, it just happens, and that means it can't really happen on demand. That can make things a bit difficult when I'm staring down a deadline or a blank page (or both!). But I'm sure that's true for everyone.

I think that's part of the beauty of prompts - writing becomes more of a collaborative activity, where one side can outsource the ideas part, and the other side can outsource the writing part. A beautiful symbiosis :)

36. What fic are you proudest of?

That would have to be Once a Runner! It was my 130k monster that I wrote in a frenzy over the course of half a year or so. Not only was this the fic that got me back into writing after nearly a decade (yes, the early bits were quite rusty), but it was also the first time that I really let my id hang out, and shamelessly explored my favorite tropes and dynamics. You know how you wrote like no one was watching back when you were a kid? Yeah, I somehow managed to recapture that feeling as an adult, and it was glorious!

I wasn't even sure if I would ever write again afterwards, so I also stuffed in all my feelings about ES21 and its characters along the way. A really cathartic and astonishing experience, and I couldn't be more grateful or surprised that such a niche fic found an audience. I doubt I would have written nearly as much without the encouragement!

48. Who is your favorite character to write for? Has this changed since you’ve started writing for that fandom?

That would have to be Hiruma from Eyeshield 21 (my profile pic)! He's such a chaotic force of nature, and he doesn't act like most fictional characters, so he's really fun to throw into the mix and see what happens. He always does exactly what he wants, no matter what anyone else says - but sometimes what he wants is actually in the best interests of others, even if he'll never admit it. I just love him, honestly. His personality is basically the polar opposite of mine, and he has a surprising amount of complexity under his coarse exterior, so I do find him a struggle to pin down. In that sense, maybe he's my least favorite character to write for? :)

This hasn't changed since I started writing Once a Runner, but I have gotten ever-so-slightly more comfortable with him since then. Can you believe that in those 130k words, where Hiruma is one of the main characters, I never once dared to write from his perspective? I've done it a few times now, and I'd like to do it more.
