Ok I am gonna talk about the things I like in this post because it's fresh in my mind and most of these things will be spoilers! Also this could be long.
First of all hi pjo mutuals!!! Idk if any of you are reading this but I really am thankful so many of you decided to stick around despite the Cookie Run hell of it all.
It's been like two years now and even if we haven't talked much in that time, you guys mean a lot to me <3
ANYWAYS THE SUN AND THE STAR!!!!
This book has been on my mind since it was hinted at at the end of TOA, so it's been a sec. The idea of this book actually helped me quite a bit when I wasn't doing very well mentally, which is very sad!
Ok, first thing's first.
Ok my soul can be put to rest now.
Second of all, my statement still stands:
For the most part the queer representation is pretty damn good this time around!
Epiales and Menoetes immediately getting defensive was a bit jarring and a little bit worrying to me but thankfully their bursts of anger about it last like five seconds each.
I'm really glad they say the words gay and queer naturally and not like they're some forbidden line to be crossed in a novel for young teens/late tweens. It genuinely made me smile.
Persephone even bringing up the notion of aromantic people almost made me lose my shit!! I am aromantic!!! That's me!!!! Just like me fr!!!!! But seriously I kinda feel forgotten a lot in queer media and literally any mention of aromanticism makes me smile, it was a very nice thing to see.
That's barely even mentioning the queer characters!
Nico bluntly saying he's gay is so fucking satisfying to see now, it's so nice to see him so comfortable with who he is.
Will canonically being bisexual is really nice to see, I could feel the writers' sigh of relief as they put the discourse to rest.
SPEAKING OF DISCOURSE... Piper MyQueen! It's nice to see a questioning character because I haven't really seen one represented before! She's still figuring herself out after the months following the end of toa and it's nice to see the message that it takes time to figure yourself out being shown because it's a surprisingly rare one to see. I appreciate how she also gravitates towards the queer label :)
Now minor characters:
Epiales: I appreciate them because of how ridiculous their existence is
Hiss-majesty: iconic and also that name makes me confused
Menoetes: my beloved
Geryon: Ok that's just hilarious I cannot deny that
Thirdly....
BIANCA DI ANGELO MY BELOVED MY ULTIMATE FAVE I MISSED YOU HOLY SHIT.
Besides uh....
That. I have LOVED seeing how Bianca and Maria have affected Nico over the years! It's so tragic and amazing and YES.
Seeing Bianca one last time and Maria for the first time ever was so so so satisfying even if they didn't say much. I almost teared up a bit. A lot. I got emotional.
Nyx using them against Nico was SO fucked up and I love it
Speaking of... Nyx.
Design.
Design.
Very cool, moving on.
Hades and Persephone's growth was so unexpected I am just gonna be real.
Hades was going to happen naturally because of what we say in HoO but him caring enough to send Nico a prophecy? And bring back Maria and Bianca? That's so sweet! I love that! I love that SO much! And also he isn't completely not an asshole which is appreciated.
Persephone is my favorite one of Riordan's interpretations of the gods.
I never thought I would say that sentence ever in my life. She's so caring and sweet for the 10 minutes we see her and I really appreciate her growth and seeing how she's finally getting over her grudge. It was unexpected and completely welcome.
Also I appreciate clarifying that Hades and Persephone's relationship is a good one from Persephone herself.
Also Nemesis is a badass and I did not realize how much I missed her! She has no reason so be so cool and yet she still is.
Gorgyra's chapters were all wonderful, I love her SO much and I hope Bob visits her sometime.
Speaking of which: Bob and Small Bob are amazing as always.
I appreciate the theme of change around Bob's character, he's different from how I remember him being is HoH but that's probably more natural than Nico's change in character (which I don't mind as much as most people I've seen but is still jarring) because of him and Iapetus switching every two seconds for over a year so yeah.
Small Bob is Small Bob. Cat. Gato. Wonderful.
Will actually having more of a character was nice to see too! Also his ultimate magic hidden deep within being hayfever is very funny to me.
Actually talking about the trauma these characters have been through and addressing it is also very satisfying.
Overall I think it was a good send off to these kids who have been through too damn much. I will have a post airing my criticisms probably but I really did like this lovable train wreck of a book, me from two years ago would be very pleased.
Can't wait for the road trip book where both Percy and Annabeth come out as bisexual simultaneously and for this series to be OVER!!!

YO BIANCA WAS SO UNDERRRATED!!! LIKE images me she’d lived…like Chris orbed her into his arms when he went back and had Leo heal her. The whole thing with Phoebe and Paige find out out Chris was their nephew and that Bianca is their future niece-in-law!! The angst but also the adorableness!
Chris would totes live in this scenario and Leo should have like gotten to take him (and Bianca) back to the future and then we’d of gotten introduced to Melinda!!
omg,,,,,, okay so for starters you Know empath phoebe would be All Up in chris’s business so much so that chris goes and gets another dose of empath blocking potion but it does nothing because it’s not phoebe’s magic it’s her intuition and she’s like hey. hey!! and piper’s like hmm idk like how well do we know this bianca girl she did - if we all recall - almost slit my throat like our magic isn’t much use against her she makes me a bit nervous and phoebe’s in the kitchen listening to her rocking on her heels like shesyourdaughterinlawshesyourdaughterinlawshesyourdaughterinlawshesyourdaughterinlaw and then of course once piper finds out it’s like Mom Mode: Activated especially after learning about bianca’s relationship with her mother piper’s like yeah hi ur my daughter now i also think like idk bianca would really be kind of weird about the whole magic thing like i think you know like um. like no phoenix has ever been inside magic school bc like. they haven’t. they’re trained at the phoenix academy you know they learn things their own way they just don’t have access to that knowledge. they have their own. and bianca can’t shake this feeling of unbelonging there like the place knows what she is and wants to spit her out like these are the hallowed halls of white magic are not meant for her bloodied hands that type of thing. and i think paige of all people would really be the one to help her through that because paige surprisingly has felt the same feeling of unbelonging on her whitelighter side because she part angel in theory this pacifist wise being but like. she was a really shitty kid. and she’s impulsive and violent and sometimes paige feels too sullied to truly live up to her whitelighter half which bianca’s like okay that’s crazy bc ur like one of the nicest people i’ve ever met like you’re a charmed one you save people you save the world blah blah blah and paige is like yeah but i wasn’t always like this and bianca’s like yeah but you are now and paige is like okay how the turn tables can you admit that you yourself are not the person that you once were that you are constantly actively working to be good and that you belong here. and bianca’s like okay touche. and chris i think chris has always felt real severed from his family because well they're all dead i think piper was last of the charmed ones today meaning that by age 14 chris has like. no family. and he was kinda of fine with that and yeah he watched the charmed ones from afar as their whitelighter but it felt like through a plane of glass like they were a family and he was related to them but he wasn’t part of their family. but after the whole chris/bianca thing and the big reveal and just the way everyone bonds; i think chris really starts to see himself as integrated into the family like it’s not just he is a halliwell it’s the halliwells are his family (& now they’re bianca’s too!!)
#bc like. i think even after the reveal chris would have trouble opening up bc all of his problems are kinda rooted in like their future prob#but bianca on the other hand yes she had her childhood trauma but it's manifesting in present ways#that the girls can notice and talk about#which of course takes a shitload of effort bc bianca isn't one to just spill her guts#but you know eventually she does and that like. opens ot door#that ot is supposed to be the idk how that happened#but yeah like. like chris and bianca really like become part of the Halliwell Family not just the halliwell line#chris halliwell#bianca bishop#charmed#💌

Hello, is it okay if you can have Percy having an allergic reaction to something amd fails trying to hide it on the Argo II?
I’m sorry, I couldn’t do the hiding it part. It just seems unrealistic to me that someone would ever try to hide an allergic reaction, idk. Sorry, I hope you still like it :)
TW: brief depiction of vomit
Jason had been eyeing Percy for the past 20 minutes, ever since they’d finished eating dinner. He just looked... weird. Jason couldn’t figure out exactly what was wrong with his friend, but there was definitely something going on.
“So I guess we should probably talk about a plan,” Piper said. She’d been taking charge a lot more recently, she’d become so much more confident. Jason couldn’t have been more proud of her.
“Plan?” Annabeth asked, immediately looking up from the notebook of prints she’d been examining.
“Yeah, I mean, things are gonna start getting rough soon I’m predicting. So we need to decide if we want to go by air or by sea. Jason? Percy? Who’s up for a challenge this afternoon?” Leo asked.
But something was wrong with Percy. And Jason was too busy watching him to hear Leo. So no one responded.
“...um, Jason? Percy?” he asked awkwardly, glancing back and forth between the two of them. Percy was staring blankly at the table and Jason was staring intently at Percy. What was even happening right now?
“What?” Jason asked absently.
“Percy?” Leo reached over and poked his arm.
“Hmm?” he responded quietly.
“Uh... Air or sea? Who’s up for defense today?” Leo asked again. He was super confused now. Everyone else seemed to be feeling the same way judging by the looks on their faces.
“I’ll do it,” Jason said quickly, still looking at Percy.
“Right, air it is then, great,” Leo nodded, glancing at both of them warily. Something seriously weird was going on.
“Are you two alright?” Piper asked, scooting closer to Jason and putting a hand on his arm as Annabeth did the same to Percy.
“I’m fine. But something’s wrong with him,” Jason answered, nodding at Percy. He hadn’t wanted to draw everyone’s attention like that cause he knew that no matter what was going on, Percy wouldn’t want that. But obviously he wasn’t going to say anything so he felt like he had to. He was worried. Percy, like himself, often felt like he had to be okay all the time cause they were supposed to be the leaders of this quest.
“You’re right, he really doesn’t look so good,” Leo agreed, watching as Percy’s face drained of color, giving him a gray hue.
“He looks even worse than I do, but he can’t be seasick,” Hazel said.
“Gods Percy, what’s wrong?” Nico asked, popping out of the shadows and scaring everyone. He sat down on Percy’s other side, opposite Annabeth.
“Perce?” Annabeth asked quietly.
Instead of responding to any of their worried remarks, he suddenly pitched forward and vomited all over himself and the table. Everyone jumped back, even Annabeth, except for Nico surprisingly. He grabbed Percy by the shoulder to hold him up so his head wouldn’t hit the table as he started to fall forward.
“What in Hades is going on Percy?” he asked quietly, rubbing Percy’s back as he breathed heavily, trying to recover.
“I’think... soup... tasted funny... tomatoes,” he panted, leaning against Annabeth, who’d recovered from her shock and moved to stand at Percy’s other side, carding her fingers through his messy hair.
“Tomatoes? Yeah, it had tomatoes in it,” Leo said.
“Are you allergic to tomatoes Percy?” Jason asked.
Percy nodded miserably, his breathing shallow. He was starting to feel fuzzy, and warm.
“Does anyone have an epi pen?” Annabeth asked, starting to sound frantic. Percy was clearly having an allergic reaction and was having trouble breathing. They needed to get him help before his throat closed up. How could she not know that he was allergic to tomatoes? She’d known him for years!
“I can make one! I’ll be right back!” Leo shouted, jumping up and rushing out of the mess hall.
“Here, help me get him laying down, it’ll help open his airway,” Nico instructed, grabbing Percy under one arm. Annabeth grabbed his other arm while Jason jumped up to grab Percy’s legs. They lowered him down to the floor, laying him down on his back. Nico tipped his head up slightly to open his airway while Annabeth peeled off his soiled clothes, draping a blanket over him since he only remained in a t-shirt and his boxers.
He was gasping for air by this point, clutching weakly at his chest as it heaved. There were tears sliding down his cheeks, and he couldn’t keep his eyes open. It was so bright... too bright. He was fighting it, but he could feel himself slipping into darkness. He couldn’t breathe. Is this what drowning would feel like?
"I got it! I got it! Hold on Percy!” Leo ran in, dropping to his knees next to Percy and jamming the pen into his leg. For a terrifying moment, nothing happened while the other seven demigods held their breaths.
Then Percy let out a gasp, taking in a lungful of fresh air. His eyes opened and he arched his back, taking in as much air as he could before relaxing back against the ground.
“Oh Percy thank god!” Annabeth cried, draping herself over him while everyone else sighed in relief as well.
“Well. Note to self, no more tomatoes,” Leo said, making the others laugh nervously. Sometimes they all forgot that there were many ways any of them could die that didn’t involve fighting monsters. They could still die in all the normal mortal ways too, they weren’t as invincible as they felt like they were sometimes.
“I’m just glad you’re okay Percy,” Nico said, looking somehow more relieved than all of them. It was good to see that kid smile every once in a while. Even if it wasn’t under the greatest circumstances.

Which Fallout 4 companions like cooking, which hate it, and which dislike the act itself but like resulting foods too much to not, do you think?
This isn’t all exactly what you asked but I tried to do it as closely as I could.
Companions’ Opinions On Cooking
Ada: Well she’s a robot and can't necessarily eat but she used to cook for Jackson’s caravan and they used to praise her skills at cooking anything they came across into edible food. She enjoys cooking for Sole as a result who is equally as appreciative.
Cait: She doesn’t really enjoy it but sees the necessity of being able to. I have a feeling she had to do all the cooking for her parents anyway.
Codsworth: He really loves cooking! It's one of the things that has changed very little after the bombs dropped. He takes pride in knowing he can plate food in a very eye-pleasing way.
Curie: She loves food! Ever since she transferred into a synth body she wants to try everything the world has to offer. Even some very… odd combinations. She enjoys cooking as a result because she knows she’s getting food in the end.
Danse: He cares very little for cooking and would rather just leave it to the cooks aboard the Prydwen. If push comes to shove though he takes the army’s direction and cooks everything dead. Do not expect flavorful or remotely good food from him.
Deacon: He had to go undercover as a cook once and hasn’t stopped since. Cooks a mean chili too.
Dogmeat: He’s uh- he’s a dog. Despite his lack of opposable thumbs and the ability to be bipedal, he loves eating everything. Fully expect his head to be in your lap the entire time you are eating.
Gage: It's been a while since he had to cook because of you know, slaves. He does know how to cook though and spent a lot of his teen years doing it for himself when he worked as a caravan guard and such.
Hancock: Yeah he survives on chems and alcohol. Doubt he remembers how to cook if he bothered to learn in the first place.
MacCready: He can cook just not well. He was practically raised by other children and it shows in his mediocre cooking skills. When on the road he mainly relies on prewar preserved food.
Nick Valentine: First of all, can gen 2 synths eat? Gourmet chef level stuff. Mother of God can he make good food. Pre-War Nick used to cook all the time for Jenny and it’s a weird muscle memory thing for Synth Nick.
Old Longfellow: He cooks mostly stuff he’s hunted and gathered, radstag, molerat, wolf, etc. It’s surprisingly good. It's also all pretty much salt cured, smoked, and dried. He enjoys it because it's something interesting to do that breaks up his day that consists mostly of drinking whiskey and hunting.
Piper Wright: Cooks for both her and Nat and has for a LONG time. When she doesn’t want to she takes them to power noodles. She enjoys it to a point. If it take a lot of effort shes not doing it.
Preston Garvey: Minutemen usually have a specific cook in their squads but you know, he’s the last one. He’s okay at it otherwise and doesn’t much care for it.
Strong: FIRE! Everything is burned to a crisp! He doesn’t understand cooking a bit other than it needs to be cooked over fire.
X6-88: Do gen 3 synths need to eat? Have we figured that out yet? IDK. I have a feeling if they do he lives off of ready made Institute rations.

Faking It || Chapter Two (SPxOC)
Title: Faking It
Rated: T | Warnings: cliches abound, language, possible future violence.
Words: 7235
Pairing: Sweet Pea x OC
Summary: “A fake kiss. A Contract. And a mutual want to piss off Reggie Mantle. That’s all it was supposed to be. Rosie and Sweet Pea never meant to fall in love in the process.”
AN: This is twice as long as it was supposed to be and I hope you enjoy it. This was loosely inspired by To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and @starryeyedauthor encouraging me to write this monster, so here it is!
Canon has been ignored. Midge is alive. The Black Hood wasn’t Hal. Reggie, Sweet Pea, and Cheryl are all Seniors at Riverdale. idk a Riverdale S3. This chapter has some exposition, some foreshadowing, and some Cheryl! The fake dating starts... soonish.
Chapter One
So far, Rosie’s been able to make it halfway through third period without any probing questions from her friends. It’s sheer luck that they’ve gone this long without bombarding her, none of them had first period together and Rosie was lucky enough to have a free period after that, allowing her to hide out in the Blue and Gold office after mumbling a rambling excuse to Betty, who either hadn’t heard about the events of that morning or simply didn’t care about them. Either way, Rosie spent nearly an hour tucked away in the corner reading for her AP English class later in the afternoon, ignoring the multitude of text messages she was getting from Sophie and a few others.
Her luck, of course, ran out by her third period history class, which she shares with both Sophie and Piper. They’ve kept quiet so far, sending her looks out of the corner of their eyes as they listen to Mr. Michaels drone on about the syllabus and something about Russian architecture, but Rosie stopped listening over ten minutes ago. Not only is Mr. Michaels an absolute bore, it’s also hard to concentrate on anything with Sophie openly staring at her, barely blinking in a way that looks more than a little bit uncomfortable.
Surprisingly, it’s Piper that breaks first.
The dark-skinned girl sighs heavily as she slaps her notebook down on the circular table in the back they’d managed to score, her lips pursed as she stares at Rosie. The sudden noise draws a few curious gazes from the younger students in the course, a pair of Sophomores openly looking at their table, but most of the Seniors are already checked out, playing on their phones or taking amongst one another.
Mr. Michaels doesn’t notice anything, pushing seventy and half-deaf to the world.
Piper sends the Sophomores a frosty look, making them snap back around quickly. “So are you going to explain what that was or…” Piper trails off quickly, but it isn’t a question. The look Piper sends her is expectant and only a few ticks short of outright demanding, and Rosie knows without a doubt that the only reason she’s remanded silent this long is because Piper let her.
Rosie clears her throat softly, keeping a pointed gaze on the front of the room, knowing that if she looks Piper in the eyes she’ll definitely crack under the pressure. “Nope,” she replies just as quickly, giving a half-hearted shrug, “I’m just going to ignore it until it goes away.”
Sophie snorts so loudly that even Mr. Michaels pauses in his ranting for a moment, unsure if he’s really heard something or not before continuing on, saying something about Egyptian Mythology which makes Rosie wonder what this class is even supposed to be about.
“Goes away?” Sophie openly snickers as she echoes Rosie, making her finally force her gaze away from the front with a disgruntled frown. “Girl, you made out with a Serpent in the middle of the hallway, that’s not going away!” She shakes her head, short blonde hair fluttering around her chin. “I mean did you see Reggie’s face—well, of course you didn’t considering your face was occupied—but he was pissed!” Sophie informs her, bracing her forearms on the table as she leans forward, ignoring the probing stares around them as she looks at Rosie with the most serious look she’s ever seen.
Piper nods along in agreement, biting her lower look briefly. “The Bulldogs aren’t going to be happy about this,” she tacks on, tapping her pencil absentmindedly against her notebook, “especially after that scandal with Midge and Fogarty last semester.” Piper’s nose wrinkles as she says it, Rosie grimacing as well.
That situation was bad for a number of reasons, and it could have been so much worse if the cops hadn’t have found Midge.
“Yeah, but Rosie didn’t cheat on Reggie,” Sophie snips back, brows narrowing slightly as she glances between Piper and Rosie.
Piper, however, shakes her head slowly. “She might as well have with the way Reggie was looking at her.” Again, she pulls her bottom lip between her teeth, worrying the flesh as she glances up at the clock.
“Well, Reggie can go fuck himself in the—”
“Can we not talk about this right now?” Rosie asks sharply, cutting off Sophie.
A sick feeling curls in Rosie’s gut, all of her satisfaction and anger from this morning twisting into something like anxiety in her chest. She hadn’t been thinking when she kissed Sweet Pea, especially not of the way the rest of the student body would react to it, but already she’s beginning to regret her decision, even if it had felt pretty good at the time.
Tensions between the North and Southside of Riverdale have been high ever since the Black Hood Fiasco last semester, and it certainly didn’t get any better after the fallout with Midge.
Piper and Sophie both fall silent, the pitchy note in Rosie’s voice throwing them off. Rosie wrings her hands together, again going back to looking at the front as she avoids her friends’ stares, wishing the ground would open up and swallow her whole. It’s not that she’s afraid of the way other people are going to react to what happened, she’s just never liked being part of Riverdale’s abundant drama, preferring to leave that to the Veronica Lodges and Cheryl Blossoms of the school.
And this? This is definitely going to cause drama.
“Personally, I think it’s an upgrade,” Piper blurts out suddenly, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms as she sends Rosie her best smile. Both Rosie and Sophie glance over at her, Piper shrugging at them in response. “I mean, yeah, Reggie’s cute and all, but his personality is… lacking. I mean, you could do a lot worse than a Serpent.”
“Yeah!” Sophie agrees quickly and just a little bit too loudly. “Sweet Pea is hot!” A few people stare in response to her exclamation, but she only shoots them the middle finger, too busy smiling at Rosie to pay them any real mind.
Rosie’s frown only deepens, her brows narrowing slightly. “You’re a lesbian, Sophie,” she reminds the other girl. Her lips quirks up at the edges, a small smile pulling at her, but she fights it back, not wanting to give her friends the satisfaction of winning.
Sophie snorts, waving her off. “Yeah, and I have eyes.” She drops her head down slightly, resting her chin in her hand. “I don’t have to be attracted to him to know that he’s not hideous, Rosalie. Speaking completely objectively, the guy is a total smoke show!”
Immediately, Piper begins nodding along in agreement, her eyes on Sophie as the two continue to talk as if Rosie isn’t sitting right next to them. “Plus he has that whole bad boy, troublemaker thing going on,” she comments, wiggling her brows teasingly. “We just love a good leather jacket over a flannel combination. And he’s so tall!”
“Yeah,” Sophie drawls back seriously, deep in thought as she stares back at Piper. “Rose has always had a thing for bad boys,” she agrees with Piper easily, causing Rosie to choke slightly on her spit.
She sends her friends a pointed look, frowning at them as her eyes narrow just a tick, more in annoyance than anything else. “I’m sitting right here,” she reminds them, glancing away briefly to make sure Mr. Michaels hasn’t noticed them talking. Not that he really notices much of anything, content to simply listen to himself talk.
Piper waves her off with a flick of her wrist. “We’re aware,” she says flippantly, a teasing smile pulling at her lips as she pulls her sweater tighter around herself, pushing her notebook away as she leans in towards Sophie, ready to continue gossiping.
Rosie rolls her eyes good-naturedly, a half-smile pulling at her lips. She knows what game they’re playing, trying to distract her from what will inevitably come later in the afternoon, and she appreciates it, she does, but she wishes it wasn’t at her own expense.
“We should have seen this coming,” Piper continues a moment later, holding back a laugh at the face Rosie pulls, her eyes rolling at the implication. Rosie wishes she could say they’re wrong, but she’s about eighty-six percent sure that she does indeed have a thing for bad boys, even if she’d be loath to admit it out loud.
Sophie nods along, snorting softly. “I’m surprised she didn’t dump Reggie’s dumb ass as soon as the Serpents walked in last semester.” That certainly would have saved her some trouble in the long run, but frankly she’s insulted by the implication that her mind could be so easily swayed by a ridiculously tall, attractive bad boy in a leather jacket.
She’d like to think she’s more resolute than that.
“You guys are the worst,” Rosie informs them deadpan, not even half-serious as they continue to prattle on about the non-existent tension going on between her and Sweet Pea. She kissed him once to make sure her asshole ex-boyfriend didn’t try to talk to her. It doesn’t mean anything.
Piper and Sophie scoff at exactly the same time, looking unimpressed with her comments. “Bitch, you love us,” Sophie reminds her, sending her a wink and a smile that’s all teeth as she plays with the sleeves of her flannel.
“I know,” Rosie replies quickly, finally allowing herself to smile at her friends’ ridiculousness, knowing they have the best of intentions. As exasperating as they can be, she wouldn’t change a single thing about either of them.
Piper giggles softly, clasping her hands in front of her as she smiles at Rosie, her entire face lighting up. “Look,” she begins, just a little bit softer than before, “all we’re trying to say is that if there’s something going on between you and tall, badass, and sexy, we support you. Always.” She reaches across the table a moment later, placing one hand over Rosie’s and giving a gentle squeeze that’s more reassuring than her words.
Rosie snorts softly, shaking her head in exasperation. “Well that’s not something you have to worry about,” she promises the two of them, glancing away from Piper to look at Sophie, who stares back at her in obvious disbelief, “because there’s nothing going on between me and Sweet Pea. And there probably never will,” she finishes, tacking on the last part with finality. They hardly know each other at all, and it’s not like this is going to magically bring them closer together. That’s not something that happens in real life.
“Nothing?” Sophie deadpans in return, still looking at Rosie as if she doesn’t quite believe her. She crosses her arms, quirking a brow as she continues to stare at Rosie
Piper, on the other hand, almost looks disappointed at Rosie’s words, despite usually being the practical one. The look disappears in an instant, replaced with something more sly and teasing. “Not even a little something?” she jokes, squeezing Rosie’s hand one more time before releasing her entirely, amusement clear in her eyes.
“None at all,” Rosie promises, crossing her own arms in return. She turns back to the front, clicking her pen to begin jotting down the few notes written on the board, almost wishing she had been paying attention to the lecture, though admittedly it wouldn’t have been nearly as interesting as her friends’ banter.
Sophie doesn’t bother to hide her smirk at all. “Yeah, we’ll see how long that lasts,” she crows at Rosie, practically cackling under her breath when Rosie’s head snaps back around in confusion, her eyes wide.
Rosie barely sputters out a, “what does that mean?” trying not to make too much noise. Most of the class has gone back to ignoring them, familiar with their antics and more interested in their phones, but that same pair of Sophomores from before is still eyeing them with interest, leaning closer to try to hear what they’re saying.
Sophie raises a challenging brow in return, leaning across the table to speak to Rosie in a voice that isn’t quite as quiet as it probably should be. “It means you tried to shove your tongue down a guy’s throat on a whim,” she says, speaking slowly so that both Rosie and Piper can hear her closely, “and he watched you walk away like he wanted to. Eat. You. Up.” She puts special emphasis on each word as she finishes, smirk only growing larger with each pause. “And by ‘eat you’, I one hundred percent mean that he probably wants to—”
“I know what you mean, Sophie, thank you.”
Piper rolls her eyes, barely able to force back her smile at Sophie’s crude nature. While it’s something the two usually don’t agree on, Piper seems to have to qualms with Sophie’s bluntness in this situation. “What Sophie is trying to say is that if you like him, go for it.” The look in Piper’s eyes says a lot more than her words. There’s acceptance there, and something that can’t be put into words. Like Rosie shouldn’t hold back because of Reggie. Like she’s better than that.
Sophie nods once in agreement just before the bell rings. “Get some, Girl!” she practically sings, reaching out to slap Rosie on the back.
By the time lunch rolls around, Rosie is fed up with the looks she’s been getting from the rest of the student body. While most of the underclassmen don’t appear to care one way or another what’s happening in her personal life, the Junior and Senior classes have been sending her looks all day, being more involved in the drama between north and south that the younger students.
Plenty of the Northside students she grew up with have been sending her borderline nasty looks all morning. Knowing that she dated Reggie previously already put her in a bad place when it came to people expecting her to act a certain way, but news travels fast through a school with nothing better to do, and after everything that happened last semester, most people aren’t keen on seeing anymore Northside girls hookup with Southsiders, and especially not Serpents, at that.
What happened between Midge and Fangs was a messy situation, and Rosie only knows what she’s heard from Reggie and Moose, not seeing much of Midge since summer break started, and even then she can’t be sure how much of it is true. The night of the spring musical opening, apparently Midge ended up disappearing, off on a bad Jingle Jangle bender that left her missing for nearly three days until she was found in Greendale with no memory of how she got there.
Fangs ended up taking the fall for it, the cops dragging him in on a suspected murder charge with little more evidence than a shaky video and a pocket knife, but it was enough to have half of Riverdale rioting. It was enough to get Fangs shot.
Rosie hadn’t gone down to the riots, not wanting to be involved in something that violent aimed at someone her age, and after learning what happened that night she’s glad she stayed home with her sisters.
Midge, at least, ended up being okay. As far as Rosie knows, she’s gotten clean and worked things out with Moose, judging by how close they were this morning when she saw them in the hallway. Rosie wouldn’t call the two of them friends, mostly knowing each other through their boyfriends, but she never thought of Midge as being a bad person for the drugs.
Everyone has a vice; some are just worse than others.
Ever since then, the tension has only been worse between the two sides of Riverdale. There was more fighting in school towards the end of the semester and Reggie made himself very clear about where he stood when it came to matters of the Southside. The hostile looks she’s been getting from the Bulldogs’ is expected and annoying, but nothing she can’t handle.
What’s been more surprising is the looks she’s gotten from the Serpents she’s come across, which have been more curious than anything else, much to her own confusion.
Rosie shakes her head, hoisting her bag higher up on her shoulder as she continues down the hallway, heeled boots clicking across the floor as she heads for the doors leading outside, intent on finding Piper and Sophie again.
She’s almost at the doors when a familiar sound reaches her ears, heels clicking across the floor echoing behind her. “Rosalie!” an equally familiar voice calls out behind her, presence commanding and making her freeze just a few feet away from the door.
“Fuck,” Rosie curses without meaning to, voice louder than expected. Plastering a wide grin onto her face, Rosie twists around on her heel, hoping her smile isn’t as strained as it feels. “Hi, Cheryl!” she greets the other redhead, gripping the strap of her bag just a little bit too tight. “How are you on this fine day?” The question comes out more sarcastic than she means it to, and Rosie nearly grimaces after opening her mouth. At this point she’s more wound up than expected, but she shouldn’t be taking that out on Cheryl, who’s always been civil to her, if not openly friendly.
Cheryl, however, seems unconcerned with her snappish tone, merely blinking once before a tight smile pulls at her red lips. It isn’t an unkind look by any means, but it does put Rosie on edge, knowing she probably won’t like wherever this conversation ends up going. Cheryl crosses her arms over her chest after delicately brushing her hair over one shoulder, eyeing Rosie with just a hint of amusement. “A little birdie told me something interesting this morning,” Cheryl informs her, head tilting slightly to one side as she continues to stare at Rosie.
She already doesn’t like where this is going.
Rosie pulls a face at Cheryl’s trilling voice, fighting the urge to roll her eyes in exasperation. “Wow,” Rosie drawls back sarcastically, voice as dry as it ever has been. She snorts softly as she shakes her head. “Can’t imagine what that could possibly be,” she mumbles under her breath as Cheryl crosses the short distance between them, brushing right by Rosie and heading towards the doors, beckoning her to follow.
Cheryl continues on as if Rosie hadn’t said a word, her heels clicking across the floor as she leads Rosie over to the double doors leading outside. “I honestly do not know what it is about Vixens and Serpents,” she grumbles, sounding just the slightest bit fond. She doesn’t look at Rosie as she shoves open the doors leading to the quad, and for a half second Rosie thinks she might be talking to herself. Cheryl’s tongue clicks softly as she shakes her head. “But if you and Sweet Potato are going to make a spectacle of yourselves—”
“Not a Vixen,” Rosie reminds her quickly, quickening her steps to keep pace with the taller girl. Cheryl just keeps on ignoring her, not slowing for a second as she heads to the cheerleaders’ table, still speaking, though Rosie has since tuned her out. “And there’s absolutely nothing going on between me and a Sweet Pea,” she promises the other girl, though the words ring a bit hollow even to Rosie, Piper and Sophie’s words from earlier getting to her slightly.
Again, Cheryl tosses her hair over her shoulder, pursing her lips just the slightest as she stops about ten feet from the table, the rest of the River Vixens glancing over at the curiously as Cheryl turns to face Rosie directly. Her brows narrow a tick, a hard look in her eyes that softens just the slightest when she meets Rosie’s gaze. “I only came to tell you that if that barbaric oaf does anything to hurt you—”
Rosie cuts her off quickly, sending Cheryl a blank look. “You’re not listening to a word I’m saying are you?” she asks, not expecting any form of acknowledgment from the other girl.
“—the other Vixens, as well as moi, will make sure he regrets it.” While she wouldn’t call Cheryl her friend in a traditional sense, the two have always looked out for one another ever since their Freshman year, which is what Cheryl appears to be doing now, for some reason Rosie isn’t entirely sure of.
Cheryl clasps her hands together in front of her, sending Rosie a smile that’s sincere and also a tad dangerous, as if daring Rosie to say anything to the contrary. She only made out half of what the other girl said, and Rosie thinks she might be jumping the gun just a little bit, but she does mean well.
“Again,” Rosie starts slowly, offering Cheryl a slightly confused smile, “not a Vixen, Cheryl.” She never has been one, for that matter, but Cheryl has almost always referred to her as such, much to Rosie’s immense confusion. The River Vixens have always been a fairly private group, after all. “And there’s nothing going on between me and Sweet Pea,” she repeats, sighing softly to herself.
Cheryl waves her off with a flick of her wrist. “An honorary Vixen then,” she corrects herself, ignoring Rosie’s second point entirely. Rosie considers arguing with her, but decides it simply isn’t worth it. Cheryl’s only going to believe what she wants. Instead, she nods in response, causing Cheryl’s slight smile to grow before it drops just as quickly. “We missed you last year,” she says suddenly, making Rosie tense in surprise. “Do you think you might come back?”
A familiar chill settles in Rosie’s chest as she instinctively shifts her weight to her right side, breath catching in her throat. Rosie lowers her gaze, jaw clenching tightly as she squeezes her eyes shut tightly for just a moment, trying to ignore the screeching metal on metal sound echoing in her head. “I don’t know, Cheryl,” she replies softly, forcing her voice to remain even.
Cheryl simply nods at the clipped response, not taking it personally. “Remember what I said, Rosalie.”
Rosie considers asking which part, but decides not to. “I will,” she says instead, sending Cheryl a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes. The other girl gives a sharp nod, turning on her heel to stalk over to the Vixen’s table. “Hey, Cheryl?” Rosie calls after her before she can get far, prompting her to glance over her shoulder. “My sister and her friends are going to try out for the Vixens this year. Try not to be too hard on them.”
There’s an amused flicker in Cheryl’s gaze. “We’ll see.”
The end of the school day is practically a blessing. After a day full of stares and awkward pep talks, Rosie wants nothing more than to go home and forget today ever happened. With everything that goes on in Riverdale, her little spectacle this morning should blow over by the end of the week, if not sooner. Considering the Peanut Gallery that is this years Junior class, Rosie wouldn’t be surprised if everyone forgot about her stunt by tomorrow morning.
Rosie riffles through her bag as she walks with Piper and Sophie towards the front doors, avoiding the Freshmen loitering in the halls. Sophie is in the middle of telling some story from her last period gym class, but Rosie stopped listening as soon as she started talking about whatever girl of the week she’s in love with.
“Shit,” she swears suddenly, stopping in her tracks and cutting off Sophie accidentally, drawing both her attention and Piper’s.
“What?” Piper asks, quirking a brow as she glances at Rosie, who shakes her head in response.
She sends her friends a quick smile, waving off their concerned looks. “It’s nothing,” she promises, hoisting her bag higher on her shoulder as she turns to head back down the hallway, careful to avoid the wandering steps of a pair of younger boys. “I just forgot one of my books in my locker.”
Piper nods in understanding, but Sophie frowns, crossing her arms and cocking her hip, looking both confused and unimpressed. “Can’t it wait until tomorrow?” she asks, glancing between the other two.
“AP,” Rosie replies quickly, not needing to say anything else. Piper is taking the same class as she is and simply exchanges a solemn look with Rosie while Sophie blanches, looking almost disturbed as she realizes what that means.
Slowly, Piper takes a step towards Rosie, a slight frown pulling at her lips. “Want us to come with you?” she asks, an edge to the words that Rosie doesn’t really understand.
“No,” she replies quickly, sending the two of them a small smile. “It’s fine. I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” she promises. Piper and Sophie both nod, though Sophie looks like she might say something as well until Piper reaches out and grabs her by the hand, gently pulling her towards the doors as they both call out their goodbyes before being swallowed up in the crowd.
Rosie sighs as she heads back to her locker, the halls already beginning to empty despite how early it is. While sports’ practice will be starting soon, no other extracurriculars have started yet, leaving most of the student body eager to go home after a long first day back, which she can’t blame them for.
By the time she’s grabbed her book from her locker and shoved it into her bag, the hallway is completely empty, until suddenly it’s not.
Rosie has her head half-buried in her locker when she feels more so than hears someone come up behind her, a hand brushing against her side teasingly. Rolling her eyes, Rosie opens her mouth to tell Sophie to stop trying to scare her, because it isn’t funny, but she’s cut off by a familiar voice against her ear. “Didn’t peg you as someone to slum it with Serpent scum, Rosalie.”
She jerks back, immediately slamming her locker shut so hard that the sound echoes in the hallway. Rosie clenches her jaw, squeezing her eyes shut for just a moment before they snap open again. “I didn’t peg you as a narcissistic asshole, Reggie,” she retorts easily, slapping his hand away from her side and shifting her bag over her arm, not giving him a single glance as she turns back down the hallway. “Guess we’re both disappointed.” She keeps her words even, refusing to give him the satisfaction of getting a reaction out of her so easily.
Reggie isn’t the slightest bit deterred by her biting response, keeping pace with her easily as she stalks away from him, heels clicking across the floor a little louder than usual. “Was that little show for me, Baby?” he asks her, fingers brushing against the back of her hand. “Trying to make me jealous?”
Rosie doesn’t have to look at him to picture the shit-eating smirk on his face. Frankly, she really should have pegged him as a narcissistic asshole sooner than she did, but hindsight is a bitch like that.
Rolling her eyes, Rosie practically sneers at the petname. “First of all, don’t call me that anymore,” she demands. She’s not his anything anymore, and she thought she made that perfectly clear when she refused to answer his calls for over a month. “Second of all, leave me alone, Reggie. Not everything I do revolves around you.”
She chooses to ignore the fact that technically he isn’t wrong. She did kiss Sweet Pea because of some petty need to get back at him, but it certainly wasn’t about making him jealous. Jealousy would imply that she still wanted to get with him, which is, despite his assumption, not the case in the slightest.
Honestly, she should have been expecting him to corner her at some point. Reggie is a lot of things, and thick-headed is definitely one of them. She thought her impromptu make out session with Sweet Pea in the hallway would get him off her back until at least tomorrow morning, but she’s always had shitty luck.
“You’re avoiding me,” Reggie says suddenly, sounding genuinely surprised by the mere idea. He stops walking with her for just a second, but when she doesn’t stop as well, he hurries to keep up.
Rosie fights back the urge to roll her eyes again as they round a corner, the front doors seeming impossibly far away from the locker bay for some reason. “Ding, ding, ding we have a winner!” she mutters back sarcastically. “How long did it take you to figure that one out?” She would have thought he’d have gotten the message by now. “Was it me blocking your number or me telling you to leave me the hell alone?”
Reggie only sighs, like she’s the one being exasperating. “Can we talk about this?” he asks.
“There’s nothing to talk about.”
“I don’t like the way we left things.”
The way he says it surprises her into looking at him, her steps faltering slightly as she blinks at him stupidly for a second, not fully comprehending the bullshit coming out of his mouth. “Well, I don’t like my boyfriend sticking his dick in other people,” she hisses back at him.
Rosie takes a long look at Reggie for the first time since they broke up, taking in the dark eyes and Letterman jacket she used to love. He hasn’t changed at all since she last saw him, and that pisses her off more than she’d care to admit. He doesn’t look the least bit torn up by what happened between them, and she knows it’s only his pride that’s been hurt.
Reggie, of course is as thick as ever. “Boyfriend?” he repeats, as if that’s the only thing he heard come out of her mouth, which, frankly, wouldn’t surprise her in the slightest. There’s a hopeful note to his voice, Reggie’s brows furrowing as he stares down at her, blinking at her expectantly.
“Ex, Reggie,” she clarifies, forcing her gaze away from his as she quickens her pace. “I’m done. We’re done. I won’t play this game with you again.” Her voice cracks slightly as she says it, all of the anger and resentment she’s been trying to hold back finally slipping through.
Before she can stomp away from him, he steps in front of her, forcing her to come to a sudden halt to avoid running into him. She scoffs at his persistence, growing more annoyed with each moment. “If you would just let me explain,” he snaps at her, making her take a half-step back in surprise at his tone.
Her gaze locks with his, his dark eyes burning into hers in a way that’s almost uncomfortable. Reggie’s jaw clenches as he stares down at her, his hands curling into fists at his sides. His Letterman jacket is pulled taut around his shoulders, the blue and gold fabric familiar in a way she wishes it wasn’t.
Rosie takes a slow, shaky breath, suddenly exhausted by the conversation. “What could you possible say that would make any of this better?” she asks him after a moment, far softer than she would have liked. “I was gone for less than a week and came home to find you screwing some girl from Greendale. What else is there to talk about, Reggie, because I can’t think of anything.”
His throat bobs with a harsh swallow, a muscle in his jaw jumping as his gaze rips away from hers for a second. “It was an accident,” he tells her, stressing the last word. The look he sends her is so sad and so sincere that she would believe him if she didn’t know how convincing of a liar he can be when he wants.
Rosie scoffs, letting out a humorless laugh. “Oh, fuck off, Reggie,” she snaps back at him, shaking her head as she shoves him out of her way, carefully stepping around him to continue on with her day. “I’m not stupid. That’s bullshit and we both know it.”
He’s on her heels again a moment later. “Where do you think you’re going?” he demands in a way that makes a chill run up her spine in a way that’s far from pleasant.
“Away from you. I have better things I could be doing than wasting my time on this conversation.”
Reggie snorts in response, a sarcastic smirk pulling at his lips. “What like Sweet Pea?” he jokes in a way that there’s no humor to it, just a biting edge that makes her skin prickle with irritation.
“Yes, actually.” It’s a low blow, but she doesn’t care anymore, tired of being the bigger person when he’s the one that hurt her, not the other way around. And this is the second time he’s brought up Sweet Pea since they started talking, so she knows this morning is bothering him more than he’s letting on, just like she wanted it to.
At least she can always count on Reggie to be a self-absorbed prick, if nothing else.
Her flippant response only serves to rile him up even more. “You fucking a Serpent now, Rosie?” he asks, a harsh, bitter laugh spilling from his mouth. “How long has that been going on?” She ignores him, done with the conversation, but Reggie doesn’t let her go far. “Don’t fucking walk away from me, Rosalie!” he snaps, hand lashing out to grab her by the arm.
His fingers lock around her wrist, yanking her to a sudden halt as he forces her back around to look at him. “Reggie, let go,” she snaps at him immediately, green eyes positively venomous. His grip only tightens, Reggie squeezing so hard that there’s a slight pop in her wrist from the pressure, a sharp pain accompanying his touch. A soft sound pulls from her throat as she tries to twist out of his grasp, her eyes widening slightly. “Reggie, I said—”
“Let go,” a deep voice from behind Rosie finishes for her. She doesn’t have to look to know who it is, some of the tension leaving her shoulders as she hears a heavy set of steps coming up behind her. “She said ‘let go.’ ”
Reggie’s head snaps up to look at Sweet Pea over her shoulder, his grip loosening just enough for her to yank her arm away from him. Rosie takes a step back, putting some distance between the two of them. She keeps her eyes on Reggie as Sweet Pea walks up behind her.
“There a problem here?” Sweet Pea asks Rosie, though his dark eyes are on Reggie. There’s a hard edge to the question, his jaw set as he glares down at the other male, practically daring him to make a move. Sweet Pea’s hands curl into tight fists, mirroring Reggie as his shoulders tense. His arm brushes against hers accidentally, his leather jacket sliding against her bare skin, and she takes a slow breath.
Rosie wets her lips, forcing herself to look away from Reggie as her gaze shifts to Sweet Pea standing beside her, towering over her just as he did this morning, but looking significantly more dangerous. “No,” she says quickly, cutting off whatever Reggie might have planned to say. “Reggie was just leaving.” Her eyes go back to Reggie as she says it, and both boys seem to be aware that it’s no longer a request.
“Rosalie—” Reggie starts, practically sighing as he says her name, taking a step closer to her.
Sweet Pea’s fingers brush against her hip, guiding her a step back as he pushes around her, getting in Reggie’s face quickly. “She said piss off, Mantle,” he practically growls down at the other boy.
For a second, Rosie’s afraid they might start beating on each other, which is something she definitely doesn’t want to get caught in the middle of, but Reggie backs down faster than she expects him to. He swallows, taking a step back from Sweet Pea as his gaze flicks to her face, noticing the nervous glint in her eyes. Reggie wets his lips, taking another step back as he scoffs. “Whatever,” he says, looking at Sweet Pea, “keep her.”
Reggie brushes by them, purposefully knocking his shoulder against Sweet Pea’s. The Serpent beside her clenches his fists even tighter, straightening to his full height as he tenses, looking ready to spring at Reggie as the football captain storms passed them.
Rosie’s fingers curl around the cuff of his jacket, her fingertips just barely sliding against the skin of his wrist, anchoring him in place beside her.
The two of them watch until Reggie disappears around the corner, and Rosie releases both Sweet Pea and the breath caught in the back of her throat at the same time, letting her hand drop back to her side without a word. Her eyes drift shut for a moment, Rosie allowing herself to relax now that Reggie isn’t around.
Sweet Pea’s gaze lingers on where Reggie disappeared for several seconds longer, but when Rosie sighs his eyes flick down to her, catching her just as she opens hers again. “You okay?” he asks her, all of the playful amusement in his voice from this morning gone for the moment, a serious she’s not used to clouding his voice.
“I’m fine. Thanks,” she tells him softly, sending him a small smile when she meets his dark eyes with her own, carefully brushing her hair away from her face. “Reggie’s all bark and no bite,” Rosie continues, trying for a joke, but it falls flat between them. Inhaling deeply through her nose, Rosie clears her throat, hoisting her bag higher on her shoulder as she looks away from Sweet Pea for only a moment. “What are you doing here anyway?”
The change in subject is blatant, but he doesn’t call her on it, instead following her as she turns around, heading the same way as Reggie down to the front of the school and the parking lot outside.
Sweet Pea clears his throat. “Forgot this,” he tells her, holding up a ring of keys briefly before stashing in back in his pocket, the assortment of keys clinking together softly as he moves. “Besides,” he glances down at her, “I was looking for you.”
“Me?” Rosie practically sputters out, head snapping around to look at him, Rosie having to crane her neck to meet his eyes. “Why were you looking for me?” He quirks a brow, a hint of a smile curling at his lips as she looks away, sighing to herself and nodding. Right, she made out with him this morning for seemingly no reason. “Yeah, stupid question,” she answers for him.
Sweet Pea snorts softly, a low laugh rumbling in his chest. “What was that about this morning?” is all he asks her, shoving his hands into his pockets and matching her pace as they make their way down the hall, the front doors in sight.
Rosie hesitates, unsure what she wants to tell him, but decides almost immediately that the truth is probably the easiest option. “Reggie was going to come talk to me.” She shrugs, leaving it at that, knowing he can piece together the rest after what he walked into.
“Oh, so you used me?” he asks jokingly, holding the door open for her and allowing her to slip out before him. Rosie bites back a laugh at the faux hurt expression on his face which quickly gives way to amusement. “Am I at least a better kisser than he is?” Sweet Pea asks her, staring down at her imploringly.
“Oh definitely,” she replies easily, more than a little truth to her words. “You didn’t immediately try to shove your tongue down my throat so it was an improvement.” A smile pulls at her lips that she doesn’t bother to hide as Sweet Pea laughs along with her.
His tongue flicks out across his bottom lip before he looks down at her again. “Well, if you ever want to try that again, Doll, all you have to do is ask.”
Rosie shakes her head as he chuckles, still following a step behind her as she makes her way down the front steps, spotting her car easily in the half-empty lot. There’s a group of Serpents on the other side of the lot, leaning up against their bikes and roughhousing with one another, but they stop when they catch sight of Sweet Pea and Rosie walking together. They watch, curious, and Rosie tries to ignore the prickling feeling their gazes leave on her spine.
“Is there a reason you’re walking me to my car?” she asks when he doesn’t head over to the Serpents clearly waiting around for him, instead opting to trail just a step behind her.
Sweet Pea snorts, rolling his shoulders as he glances over her head at the other Serpents. “Mantle doesn’t know when to quit,” he says to her, giving her a half-shrug. It’s a poor excuse, but she doesn’t question it.
Rosie huffs softly, shaking her head and rolling her eyes at his blunt statement. “Reggie is an idiot,” she informs Sweet Pea, though he should already know that by now after dealing with him for nearly a year.
“An idiot you dated.”
“An idiot I dumped,” she corrects him, not wanting to talk about Reggie any longer. She glances up at Sweet Pea, locking gazes with him for a moment. His eyes crinkle at the edges when he grins down at her, and Rosie is suddenly struck with the thought that it’s the same look he gave her just before she kissed him this morning.
Rosie forces herself to look away first, the two of them coming to a halt as they step up beside her car. “I’ll see you around, Sweet Pea,” she says, clearing her throat as she opens the driver’s side door, turning her back to him slowly.
“Drive safe, Hayes,” he tells her, voice low and throaty. She glances at him over her shoulder, watching as he walks backwards away from her, his eyes lingering on her as she opens her mouth to speak but decides against it, simply nodding instead. He returns her nod, turning on his heel to stalk away towards the Serpents.
Rosie watches him walk away until he’s halfway across the parking lot before slipping inside her own car, slamming the door shut behind her and settling back in her seat. Her eyes slip shut, her head lolling back against the headrest as she sighs through her nose, suddenly exhausted by the days events.
“Was that the guy you made out with this morning?”
A shriek rips from her throat, Rosie lurching forward so quickly she bangs her knee against the steering wheel, sending a jolt through the bone. Her head snaps around, eyes locking with a familiar pair of green eyes identical to her own. “Iris!” she gasps, heart lurching into her throat for a second. “Jesus Christ,” she hisses, trying to steady her erratic heartbeat. “What do you even know about that?” she asks her younger sister, bewildered.
Iris only smirks back at her, almost catlike. “So he is the guy you made out with!”
Well, she’s certainly not wrong.
“Oh my god, I’m not discussing this with you.”

ridden a motorcycle: A handful of times. A few of her boyfriends in high school had motorcycles, so she’s ridden on the back of a motorcycle stolen something: Yes, but never anything expensive. Usually food items or cheap drugstore makeup. eaten an entire pizza by themselves: Yes, but it was a medium. So, I dunno if that counts. made a prank call: Absolutely. broken a bone: She has broken her arm at least once when she was a child. I think she’s probably had her arm broken again as a young adult, but idk. It’s not like she’s my own character 🙄 fallen asleep during a concert or movie: He’s fallen asleep during a dozen or so movies. He’s tired. walked out of a movie because it was so bad: No, but she has left a movie because a date was so bad. She just told a boyfriend she was going to the bathroom and then never come back. been on the phone with someone for longer than 2 hours: Yes, but only in her canon 80′s verse. dined & dashed: Yes. held a gun: Nope. ding dong ditched: Nope. Never had a friend group as a teenager who were the types. gone skinny dipping: ...yes. cried during a movie: Absolutely, but she will deny it. smuggled food into a movie: Yes. Have you seen those concessions prices? She’s not paying that. lied to get a job: Absolutely. Although, it’s more not telling the entire truth, rather than lying. Like, she won’t mention that she was fired unceremoniously from her last job. practiced lines in from of a mirror: Yes. She used to understudy for the female roles of Rocky Horror production she helped with in high school. Mostly verbal sparring, but she has hit someone and someone has hit her. fallen asleep on a bus: Yep.
Miscellaneous.
how do they take their tea or coffee: Straight black. Whatever is strong and cheap. what is their ideal date: Big fan of mid-afternoon dates. Like, going to get a light lunch from some nice cafe and then going to walk around the Met. And if things go well, she’d have them come back to her apartment to talk more and maybe watch a movie together. Something lowkey but would facilitate the ability to truly talk to someone. what are some of their guilty pleasures: Uh...big fan of Reese cups, but she doesn’t feel particularly guilty about it. Romance in all forms is kind of a guilty pleasure because she will deny that she likes it because she prefers to seem callous towards love because she doesn’t want to come across as soft. She’s just seen relationships go so wrong, and still seeming like she still has faith in love and romance seems too optimistic. So, enjoying romantic movies or romantic gestures is something she feels guilty for. longest they’ve stayed up for: Probably around thirty hours. But definitely less than forty-eight. greatest talent: Obviously, she’s a talented artist. Primarily in oil and acrylic paints as well as pencil/pen drawing. That is the one thing she actually does view as a strength of her’s. strange habits: Tears off the crusts of her sandwiches rather than cuts them off. Mumbles to herself. Will clip and save articles from magazines and newspapers, even in her modern verse. Still sleeps with a nightlight. Uses men’s deodorant. can they do a handstand: Kind of. can they cook: Eh. Not great. She’s largely stuck with preparing packaged food, like ramen or rice. Or no-cook food like sandwiches. So...no. Not really. do they have allergies: No. Just seasonal, nondescript allergies in the spring and autumn. do they believe in love in first sight: No. have any special talents: Can curl her tongue. Able to play bass poorly. Actually a semi-decent dancer when you don’t leave her to her own devices. Surprisingly good memory.

... More ? Ok wait... I don't know what else to say. How about weird puns ? Quote what BTS just said in their songs ? You know Hakuna Matata from Boy in Love ? I guess they like Disney. Because they put Ratatouille in their new song. Which is cute, kinda, but mostly funny. Imagine Yoongi surrounded by Disney's stuffed toys characters ? How about Jimin ? I don't know what's more cute. A photo of it or his reactions with Kumamon... F.LWSAJt3rd
I really do hope you'll feel better soon... Don't think to much about things that stress you. Actually that's surprisingly one of the reasons people can get a cold. Stress. If you ever try to cook chicken soup, please be careful. Don't pull a Namjoon. Don't forget to drink water ! (again, not too cold). Do you have scented candles ? It can help you to relax. Or try to listen to BTS's remix, it helps me to sleep. And you need sleep.
I'm eating Big Hit right now... (you know those you can buy at Lidl ?) Sometimes I really think about why did Yoongi chose Father Louis Williams Suga Adams... Junior the 3rd. But then, he probably just put random foreigners names he had in mind. I'm going to keep writing the firsts things that pops in my mind... probably... I don't know you put pressure on me xD I'm really excited to see the stages for this comeback! The dance is great. There's Yoonmin too...
When you'll answer this (which you weren't supposed to apparently but that's ok), what is your favourite song of the album ? Would you like to be Kumamon and be hugged by Yoongi if you're sick or be Yoongi and be hugged by a Kumamon ? Mmh... Imagine Yoongi in a Kumamon costume hugging you and giving you chicken soup ? >
Staying true to the "Send in anon what you feel about me at first I was intimidated to even send something in anon because I'm actually really shy. So the 1st time I send you something truly was as Father Louis ! I never thought you would have answered and play with the game. Didn't even imagined you would remember(or maybe it's the fact there's not many anons going by Father Louis Williams Suga Adams Junior the 3rd ? It is mouthfull...)and that's just another reason why you're an amazing person
Can we talk about how cute Yoongi is with blue hair ? May his hair rest in peace later. Amen. But he looks so soft !! Your gif of it killed me, I blinked more than usual (I'm one of those persons who blinks a lot). I'm sorry I don't know what to write, in one hand I may come as a mother. At the other hand... I'm annoying. (I hope you're laying on a bed by now. Sleeping. Where I am it's 23:15 and Germany must be +1h if I'm not wrong.)
And so, as the sky started to darken, he closed his eyes slowly. Taking a deep breath, he focused on his other senses. How the grass was feeling ticklish, like a brush; the males crickets playing their cello in hope to find a female, and mate with them; the scent of the night surrounding him, a scent which can't be easily describe it. His shoulders drop, his face soften. Slowly breathing out, he opens his eyes... ah there it is. Peace. -Father Louis Williams Suga Adams Junior the 3rd.
I hope my last ask will make you feel more relaxed ^^ English is my 3rd language and I'm self-taught so I did a poor job at "Show, don't tell" + the fact there's a limit of characters we can put. I was going to write a small yoonmin scene but it just makes me remember Jimin in Serendipity instead. Anyway, hope you get better !!! 💛💙 - Father Louis Williams Suga Adams Junior the 3rd, living in the 2nd house of BTS Hell.
Okay you wrote me a freaking essay! hahah ♥
I think Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon might watch a lot of Disney movies? I dont know. Correct me if I am wrong :’) I could totally see Yoongi with lots of Animal + Stitch stuffed toys! That would be so cute :o Thank you for your getting well wishes! I really hope so too! It is most likely stress. I have a lot on my mind recently. I dotn even sleep well because of it so yeah. It will all be good in 2/3 months though. I think might make me soup. He is a really good cook! I am more of a baker :) Even my co-workers ask me why i am not making the lemon cake again lmao. They love that cake so much. I only had some colder/luke warm water so dont worry. As I said, I am mostly drinking tea! I have sweet scented candles! I would like some minty scented candles though. Just so I could feel like I am breathing. I am listening to the new album on repeat. It makes me wanna be active! Which is good I guess. I dont want to mope around being sick. I havent sleept very well last night, i kept waking up, because of my throat. (I kept breathing through my mouth because my nose got stuffed during the night)
I LOVE BIG HIT! Tbh i like them more than M&Ms. Also they are way cheaper. Thank god for that. And you have Lidl? That means you must be in a European Country! And you said Germany is +1 hour from you? You must be from a warmer country if English is self taught! That is so cool!
I am sorry that I put pressure on you. Just wrtie to me whenever and however much you want! I love seeing your messages! I am really excited about the comeback stages too! I think it got leaked that they would promote Mic Drop too? I might be in my cold haze though. :’) The dance is so cool! I am in awe! That choreo must be so difficult! It is so fast paced sometimes.
My fav song would be: Serendipity, Best Of Me and Pied Piper maybe? I am not too sure yet. What are yours?I’d rather be hugged by Yoongi! I just want to hug all of them. hajsdgfljkh That image made me laugh! I wouldnt be able to take him seriously if he tried to feed me wiht a Kumamon costume on!
Yoongi is such a tsunderer. It is adorable and endearing. I wouldnt be able to imagine him any other way tbh. Jimin, yes! He would even post those pics of yoongi on twitter :’)
Of course I would have remebered you! Your ask was so funny and nice! I love those little games to get over the awkwardness. It doesnt expose one completely at first which is totally okay! Getting used/warmed up to somebody takes courage and time! Youre amazing too, my dear anon!
I loved minty yoongi and pastel blue is very close to that so i am all *heart eyes* His hair would have been all healthy again at this point. Bleaching all of that is such a shame. I hope he thought it was okay to dye it again.
Thank you for loving my gifs! youre NOT annoying! Dont say that! youre fun to talk to! Mother me all you want :D Your little calming story is so realxing! Thank you! It makes me want to cuddle up in my blanket and forget the real world.
I hope you had a good nights rest and a good day at wherever you are! School/college/work!
