So I'm an area director at a summer camp, but yesterday my boss called me and asked if I'd be down to be the director of two areas and I said yes without thinking about the consequences. So now I'm the director of two areas? That means two groups of staff to train and lead, two sets of lesson plans, two areas to teach at and make the schedule for and make the lesson plans for, two physical areas to set up. They're right next to each other, but this is going to be fucking insane
#the reason this is happening is because we dont have a dining hall director anymore because the first decided to take summer classes#and the second got a research position. so the director of the area that my area is right next to. volunteered to switch#so the camp director called me yesterday and was like 'this is all happening would you want to take on another area?'#so i would be director of both. with kind of a concentration in the new one. while my assistant director concentrates on the first one#but id still have to lead both staffs. teach at both. be available to both. do records for both. set up both#i start thinking about it and i always realize another thing thats gonna be weird about it#but on the bright side ive decided i cant do the 5 mile hike requirement for my old area#every thursday we do a five mile hike for our class because its for requirements. and i hate it cuz its hard lol#but i realized that it wouldnt really work out for me to be across the lake with one area and leave the other area directorless#so guess i cant do that! oh nooo /s#but i have to make two teaching schedules.whoch i started last night#i have to both teach a suitable amount in both areas but also have enough free time to be flexible and available for both#i am so tired already. and i just got this news yesterday#i was up until 5am because i was planning shit and then i layed awake anxious for another hour#also i watched the disruptors which admittedly got me to stay up pretty late too. the grant obrien and ally Beardsley movie#its very good. but mostly i stayed up late because i was trying to figure out being the director of two areas#i think about it for two seconds and i realize another reason itll be super hard. i have to introduce two staffs at the campfire#i have to talk about two areas at the leaders meeting. i have to learn a whole bundle of new merit badges#im so tired

William Burke, murderer of "Burke and Hare" fame was executed on 28th January 1829.
Up the close and doon the stair, But and ben' wi' Burke and Hare. Burke's the butcher, Hare's the thief, Knox the boy that buys the beef.
— 19th century Edinburgh rhyme
I'll start this post as I always do for all the newer followers and let you know the main big fat fact about Burke and Hair, as the auld Edinburgh rhyme says, they did NOT rob graves!!! Grave robbing was fashionable at the time many cemeteries even built watchtowers and employed people to guard the last resting places of their loved ones, there was a shortage of bodies for the Universities and Edinburgh was one of the leading cities in the world for teaching medicine, so people sold bodies to the schools, no questions asked. William Burke and William Hare certainly did this but they were never known to get their hands dirty by digging up a corpse, this was too much like hard work for these two Irish Immigrants so they cut out the labouring part and decided to start their own wee industry, killing people and selling the bodies, the practice became known as Burking.
It all started when a lodger died at Hare's girlfriends house on the West Port not far from the Grassmarket in Edinburgh, he still owed his rent and the enterprising duo decided to fill his coffin with rocks and sell the body to pay this debt, they took the body to a Professor Knox at Surgeon Square and were paid 7 pounds and 10 shillings for it, this is the nearest they got to stealing a body as their "trade" took a more sinister turn. I wont go through all 16 murders I will just recite to you the one that was their undoing........
Fittingly it was Halloween 1828 and there was a party in Log's Lodgings in Tanner's Close where the duo lived, the following morning guests became suspicious at the disappearance of an old lady who had been very merry the night before. They discovered her corpse — stripped and ready for packing — in Burke's bedstraw. Mary Docherty had come to Edinburgh from Donegal in search of a long-lost son. She had chanced to beg at a gin-shop where Burke had befriended her. Like all the other victims, she was poor, hungry, and alone. Street folk were not missed immediately as more settled people would have been, and dissection ensured disposal of the evidence.
The mode of death was designed to leave no marks. Since only this last body was available to the authorities nothing could have been proven, despite strong suspicion, had not Hare agreed to give evidence for the prosecution in return for legal immunity.
His partner in crime was hanged on January 28th 1829, an event celebrated with carnival by the Edinburgh populace. His corpse, appropriately enough, was delivered up for public dissection at Surgeons' Hall. Hare left the city incognito, and his fate is unknown.
Burke's execution was witnessed by the novelist Sir Walter Scott, who sympathized with the general opinion that both men's wives had served as accomplices, and that the anatomists had been accessories to the murders. Burke's confessions were published after the execution, and they suggest that this view of the anatomists may not have been altogether misplaced. Burke and Hare were commended by Knox himself on the freshness of a corpse; they were never asked any questions about the derivation of the bodies they delivered to the school, were paid immediately, and were always urged to get more.
A pamphlet, later attributed to a doorkeeper at Knox's school, implicated both the anatomist and his staff in the crimes. According to this witness more than one of the bodies had blood at the mouth, nose, or ears. In at least one instance — that of a well-known Edinburgh beggar, Daft Jamie — identifying features were deliberately obliterated in the dissection room: when it became known that he was missing from the streets, his head and distinctive club feet were severed from his body and dissection was hastened.
Dr Knox was never charged with any crime, nor was he called to give evidence at the trial. He remained silent throughout the furore over the murders. He was burnt in effigy in the streets, ostracized by Edinburgh's medical community, and eventually left the city. He seems to have believed that murder could have been uncovered at any anatomy school, and the fact that it had happened to be his school was simply bad luck. Whether this belief had any objective basis will probably never be known.
The Burke and Hare murders are critically significant to the history of anatomy in Britain. They represent the apotheosis of the market in human flesh. The murders reveal that by the late 1820s, the poor were worth more dead than alive. A further 60 murders by the ‘London Burkers’ Bishop and Williams, in 1831 occurred before the Anatomy Act of 1832 provided the anatomists with a free supply of corpses requisitioned from Poor Law workhouses. The photos include a contemporary drawing of Burke, a cast of how he might have looked, with a pocket book made from his skin, another card holder also made from his skin and his skeleton, still on display in Surgeons Hall 192 years after he took "The Last Drop"

University
Hi all,
So I’m currently deciding on which university I should attend. I have received offers from all 4 I applied to but now I have to choose which one I want to go to the most so I thought id share the process I use to make these decisions. There are lots of universities out there so how do you decide which to apply for let alone your favourite? Here is my advice.
Step 1: Choose the course.
There is no point even considering a university if they don’t offer the degree you want to do. Use university guides which are available from the times and guardian etc. to find the rating of universities as well as a list of schools that offer the subject you’re interested it. Use UCAS to search your course as well because that is likely to be the most up to date recording of the courses offered by universities.
Make lists of the universities that offer your course, how good they are considered both academically and by the students, how far from home they are and what grades they are asking for. If you can only find the UCAS points they require, a quick google should show what grades you will need and ask your teachers if you are still unsure.
For courses such as psychology, there is a society (the British psychological society or BPS) which accredits courses. This accreditation is a requirement to start training to be a chartered psychologist and will cost your a few years of study if you don’t have this and want to be a psychologist.
*Check websites for both the university and the body or society that controls the area you want your study to lead you into so you are sure if your course needs any form of accreditation and ask the lecturers on visits.*
Step 2: Visits.
University open days exist for a reason. Most of them are on Saturdays but if you still cannot make it to one email the head of departments asking for more information on the course and if you have ay questions they should be happy to answer them. You can also tour the university digitally for most schools or request a private tour. It is important to know you feel comfortable and safe at the university you are considering as you could be living and studying there for 3-5 or more years depending on your course. There is no point going to a school in the middle of a city if you prefer living near open countryside or in the middle of nowhere if you feel isolated. Get a feel of the location, town, campus, accommodation, study spaces and anywhere else you would be likely to find yourself over the years you will be studying there.
For example, one university I was considering was taken off my list when I visited and felt incredibly unsafe and unhappy there. I am a country girl at heart so an open campus in the centre of a city was no going to make me feel at home or allow me to be productive in my learning.
Step 3: Talk to people.
Talk to lecturers, asking any questions you have and discussing areas of interest. This is how you get a feel of the teaching at the university. Are the teachers engaging? Do they care and are they willing to talk to possible students at length about their subjects? Chances are, if they are willing to take time out of their day to talk to a perspective student they will be happy to do the same with their actual, committed students.
Talk to other students. These are people who are living the life you want to be living in a year or two. They are having the experience you are dreaming of right now so ask about classes, social aspects of university, the nightlife if you are interested in that, where the good coffee is and how crowded the laundrette can get. Even if they are at an open day and probably being paid to be there, they are likely to have a very different perspective to any of the staff at the university so take the time to have a chat to them.
Talk to our friends and family. Remember that this is your decision but it is always good to get a second opinion. Parents are often focused on your safety and how far away you will be moving whilst friends are probably going through the same problems you are right now. Do not base your decision about who will be where and what other people think but it can be good to have other ideas presented from different perspectives.
Step 4: Make pro-con lists.
Once you have cut down your list to your favourites make a pro-con list for each one. These don't have to be long but they can help you decide which ones are at the top of your list and which aren’t your favourites at all. UCAS allows you to apply for 5 universities but you don't have to fill all 5 spaces if you don’t like that many places.
Step 5:Apply.
Even if you’re not sure you will get the grade some places want they might still consider you with a good personal statement. Make sure you have universities with a range of grades so you have a back up if you don't get the grades you wanted.
Once you have applied you just need to wait. Regularly check your emails and UCAS account for any updates. Some universities may get back to you incredibly quickly and some might take weeks, just keep calm and think positive.
Step 6: Exams.
Taking your A-Levels can be stressful so take time to focus on preparing for them as early as year 12 and revise right from the beginning (you’ll thank me later).
Some universities offer merit scholarship and entrance exams so make sure to check when you apply. Even if you doubt you will do well on these tests, take them anyway, you might surprise yourself and it will show the university that you are committed to them and the course. Not all places offer these exams though so check. Your college should be happy and able to help you to apply for and take these exams but they are often earlier than A-Levels, around January to March so check early if you want to take them.
Over all, it is good to start early and stay organised and committed. Keep a notebook solely for university information so you can keep it all organised. When in doubt ask your teachers for advice as they help students apply for university every year so probably have some good advice by now.
Good luck. xoxo

Cal Matters - In a Nutshell
From ‘Lunch Shaming’ to Later Starts: 12 New California School Laws for 2020
School kids can’t vote, but Gov. Gavin Newsom delivered for them in his first-year in office, signing laws to fix their crumbling classrooms, address the issue of school-lunch shaming and let them sleep later on school days, while boosting spending for K-12 schools and early childhood programs.
Though a high-profile battle over charter school rules drew most of the attention, hundreds of proposals were introduced this year with potential impact on public education. As with most legislation, only a fraction made it to Newsom’s desk.
High-profile bills to lower local parcel tax thresholds and prohibit schools from hiring teachers through third-party programs such as Teach For America fell short of passage, for instance. Newsom also vetoed some in the final days before the Oct. 13 signing deadline. Among them: proposals to mandate full-day kindergarten (because of the expense), to let high-school juniors take the SAT and ACT in place of the Smarter Balanced standardized testing (due to equity issues), and to subsidize Advanced Placement exam fees for low-income students (other subsidies already are available).
The most significant set of revisions to the state’s charter-school law in more than two decades capped this year’s list of new education laws, putting new curbs on a segment of public schools that has grown over time, particularly in cities, to enroll more than 600,000 California kids.
The new laws are expected to make it easier both for local school boards to deny new charters and for high-performing charter schools to stay open. Charter schools will have to operate within the boundaries of their authorizing districts, and charter school teachers will also have new credentialing requirements.
But that legislation — which followed a high-dollar election in which charter schools were a flashpoint between school reformers and unions anxious to slow the growth of the largely non-unionized sector — was only part of the picture.
Here are some other new California education laws to know:
Mandating Late-Start Times for Older Students
The law: Senate Bill 328 by Sen. Anthony Portantino, Democrat from La Cañada Flintridge.
Responding to what supporters and physicians have deemed a public health crisis, California became the first in the nation to mandate later school start times for older students. Under the new law, which had been vetoed by Gov. Jerry Brown last year, California high schools will be required to start their days no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. for middle schools.
SB 328, among the last batch of laws to be signed by the governor, had been one of the most hotly debated education proposals at the Legislature: While experts and advocates have pointed to a growing body of research that shows that later start times helps combat sleep deprivation among teens and help lead to bumps in student achievement, groups representing local school boards and teachers opposed the measure because it takes away the decision-making from school districts.
The new law will be phased in over three years and rural schools will be exempt from the law, though the proposal does not further specify which schools would be affected by exemptions. State analysts predicted that the new law could “potentially” add millions of dollars in extra costs for schools to implement later start times.
California’s Charter School Overhaul
The laws: Assembly Bill 1505 by Assemblyman Patrick O’Donnell, Democrat from Long Beach, Assembly Bill 1507 by Assemblywoman Christy Smith, a Democrat from Santa Clarita, and Senate Bill 126 by Sen. Connie Leyva, Democrat from Chino.
After months of negotiations and heated debate, new rules are coming for California’s sector of publicly-funded, independently-operated charter schools. All charter teachers will be required to hold a state teaching credential, and local school boards have broader discretion in approving or denying charters, though charters can still appeal to counties and the state.
Charter schools also will be required to follow the same open-meeting laws as school districts under a proposal that was among the first bills Newsom signed as governor. And a loophole will close that had allowed so-called “far-flung charters” to operate far from the often-tiny school districts that had authorized — and were being paid to oversee — them.
No More Willful Defiance Suspensions
The law: SB 419 by Sen. Nancy Skinner, Democrat from Berkeley.
Largely cheered by civil rights groups, SB 419 permanently bans California public schools from suspending students in first through fifth grades for willful defiance – a justification for suspension and expulsion that advocates for the bill characterize as too subjective and one that is disproportionately imposed on black students and LGBTQ youth.
Once implemented in the 2020-21 school year, the ban on willful defiance suspensions will be temporarily extended to students in sixth through eighth grade through 2025. The initial version of the bill had called for including high-school students in the temporary ban on willful defiance suspensions, but was amended before Newsom signed the bill.
Some large California districts, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland, already prohibit willful defiance suspensions to some degree. And suspension rates for California schools have gone down significantly over the past decade as the state began to implement suspension curbs in 2015.
$15 Billion State Bond for Schools and Universities
The law: AB 48 by Assemblyman Patrick O’Donnell, Democrat from Long Beach.
On March 3, voters will decide whether to approve a $15 billion state bond for K-12 schools, community colleges and universities after Newsom approved a proposal that amounts to the largest school construction bond in California’s history.
K-12 schools would reap the majority of the earmarked funds — $9 billion — and, unlike previous state bonds, this measure would prioritize school modernization projects over new construction. Community colleges and the state’s two public university systems, the California State University and University of California, each will receive $2 billion.
The proposal passed with near-unanimous support in the Legislature as supporters stressed urgency to provide more support for schools to modernize facilities. Researchers have estimated California’s school facilities needs would total $117 billion over the next decade
Limiting Contact in Youth Football
The law: AB 1 by Assemblyman Jim Cooper, Democrat from Elk Grove.
Youth football programs in California now are now limited to two full-contact practices per week amid an ongoing public debate over football safety and mounting concerns that have helped lead to significant dips in participation at the high-school level.
After successfully lobbying against a previous proposal that youth football advocates deemed too extreme because it would have outright banned tackle football at the youth level, a coalition of coaches and parents went on the offensive and mobilized behind AB 1.
Unionizing Childcare Workers
The law: AB 378 by Assemblywoman Monique Limón, Democrat from Santa Barbara.
Providers for children who receive state-subsidized care will now have the right to organize a union and bargain with the state. Advocates cheered the move because they believe it will help improve pay and working conditions for a profession that largely employs women of color.
Advocates point to this oft-cited research point as reason for more investments in preschool teachers and childcare providers: More than half of California’s early childhood workforce relies on public assistance.
Resources on Domestic Violence, Sexual Harassment
The laws: SB 316 by Sen. Susan Rubio, Democrat from West Covina, and AB 543 by Assemblywoman Christy Smith, Democrat from Santa Clarita.
Starting in October 2020, California high schools will be required to print the phone number for the national domestic violence hotline under SB 316. This follows another new law implemented this year that requires schools to print the number for a suicide prevention hotline on the student IDs for pupils in grades 7 through 12.
A separate new law, AB 543, will also require public high schools in the state to “prominently and conspicuously display” a poster of a district’s sexual harassment policy – including steps for reporting sexual harassment accusations – in every restroom and locker room at a school site.
LGBTQ Training for California Teachers
The law: AB 493 by Assemblyman Todd Gloria, Democrat from San Diego.
As part of the state’s broader push to improve student climate, the California Department of Education is required to create by next July resources that schools could use to train credentialed teachers and staff on how to support LGBTQ students.
Teachers would not be required to undergo specific training under one of the law’s amendments, but the text AB 493 nonetheless would “encourage” schools to use these resources to train teachers every two years.
Supporters of the law, who include State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, have said it is significant because LGBTQ students experience higher rates of bullying, harassment and discipline that can lead to negative academic outcomes. Though AB 493 is among several recently passed bills aimed toward improving inclusivity among California’s public schools, a recent report noted that local school districts have been inconsistently implementing these laws.
Stability for Migrant Students
The law: AB 1319 by Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula, Democrat from Fresno.
California’s 100,000-plus migrant students will now be allowed to keep attending their “school of origin” as opposed to having to enroll in a new school in the event that their families move to a different residence during the school year.
Though school districts aren’t obligated to provide transportation under AB 1319, supporters of the new law say the provision is needed to help bring stability to a student demographic that research shows is more susceptible to mobility and its ensuing academic hardships.
More Time for Ethnic Studies Plan
The law: AB 114, a clean-up budget trailer bill for education.
Less a new law than a technical change to an existing one, AB 114 is nonetheless significant because it effectively pushes back the state’s timeline for adopting a model curriculum for ethnic studies by one year.
The deadline for the State Board of Education to adopt an ethnic studies curriculum under a 2016 law had been this spring. But state leaders, including the governor, supported the move to solicit more feedback following a wave of public criticism that a draft of the curriculum was anti-Semitic and too politically correct.
No More School Lunch Shaming
The law: SB 265 by Sen. Bob Hertzberg, Democrat from Van Nuys.
SB 265 adds teeth to a 2017 law by making it explicitly illegal for California schools to withhold lunch from students who have outstanding school lunch debt.
California had already enacted a law, SB 250 in 2017, to address school-lunch shaming, but the bill’s author said SB 265 was a necessary addition because some schools still withhold lunches from students with unpaid lunch fees.
Clamping Down on Students’ Smartphone Use
The law: AB 272 by Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi, Democrat from Torrance.
Local school boards will now be allowed to ban or limit students’ use of smartphones while at school except under emergencies or specific circumstances, such as medical reasons. Though educators and experts note that smartphone use can be disruptive to classroom instruction, most of the state’s districts already have policies that address smartphones, according to the California School Boards Association. *Reposted article from Times of SD by Ricardo Cano of December 25, 2019

Moreover, videos are the most effective way to promote a product given their captivation. Thus, the competition to get first-page rankings on Youtube is fierce.
Authority sites promote their videos by hiring dozens of staffs and technicians to work for them. That’s why they always get first-page rankings on Youtube and Google Search. YT Affiliate Formula has completely changed the way my business runs; now I can build lists for myself in no time. In my opinion, YT Affiliate Formula provides unique and practical knowledge with I have never seen from other courses or eBooks
Conclusion
The combination of a course and a software bundle usually comes with a high price, so I consider YT Affiliate Formula as a bargain as it cost me just $17 for the front end version. The training videos are clear and informative, and the software is super easy to use. If you really want to renovate your business, or you are struggling with Youtube videos, the new idea from this course may be a reasonable choice.
