In truth I started writing characters I felt I had a better handle on. I find Ace to be the most relatable. I think he's the most like someone you could potentially meet, maybe other than Law. Someone who is confident and self loathing and insecure and smart and dumb and self assured and all of that wrapped in a cute bundle with freckles. I also find Ace easy to write because I do feel that I've met people like him in real life, so I think of the dumb shit they would do lol. He reminds me a lot of a few of my friends, maybe that's why I feel protective over him.

That isn't a very good answer, but in summary he's my bby and I want the best for him <3.

As you guys know in October, we have exposed banjo for her past self for trying to expose arsik and since our expose did nothing to her, i deciced to speak on my side of my interactions with her that i had back in July 2021 - January 2022 with banjo before i disappeared because of her (we will get to that later on). So i guess let's start with the story..

After the March-June war was declared, i gave banjo a second chance, because i thought she truly changed and won't do those mistakes again but unfortunately, we were all wrong….

In the end of July 2021, things started to get worse because i saw David saying "binoi sucks" and i instantely sended that to my now ex-friend banjo and she wanted me to ask him "is that a joke?". And from there on, people, including my friends thought i was choosing her side, which would come to appearant when she stole me from my friends in August 2021 with some weird ass love message. And everything after that my career was gonna go downhill.

In September 2021, she began going "me mad" over David, doing his series of "Live streams for phones" when i was featured. She started accusing me of her being disappointed of David and then me like YOU SAID YOU WERE GONNA IGNORE VCS WHAT IS THIS???

Then things will get worse when in October 2021, banjo started using "gay jokes" on David for vcing with me which i wasnt ok with her making those jokes to both of us, but she kept going.

In November 2021, it got even worse when she heavily continued calling david gay and thinking of drawing a ship between me and david because we were just only vcing. She was also saying things like "imaging saying gay things to him" and shockingly "imma burn david for being gay" showing homophobia, which is pretty ironic since now in 2023 she became pansexual.

She has already stolen me from my friends but things will get even worse in December 2021, specifically on December 31st 2021 8:28 PM. Hours prior to that, banjo started to get me into Touhou characters by guessing them in what we call her stupid edition server, also known as "The Mayakou Server" thing. While i was already doing the things banjo told me to do, my friends started posting some memes in that bot guessing channel and then something in my brain was like they were trolling me so i sent a meme that had a guy reading a book said "how to deal with idiots" or something like that i dont remember. And then the worst happened. Arsik blocked me shortly after that and there was exchanges between me and my friends.

It makes me sad to know that banjo made me hate my own friends, my own community, the people that made me successful, and i blew it all out because of that one whore. People after that started to hate me for choosing banjo and for insulting one of my best friends over some petty drama. I was already cancelled because of the drama i had with my friends thanks to banjo and in the result that made me quit all social media on January 15th 2022.

When i was out of Discord by that time, i was on still on David's streams and then banjo saw that and started harassing David for being "gay" because he made me alive (umm what?) and she tried to revealed his full name.

11 months later, i would finally apologise for all of the wrong things that i've done in the community and thankfully everyone gave me another chance. 2 days after i returned to Discord (26th of December 2022), Banjo would try to friend me on my new account, but i've ignored it, because if i have accepted her again, everything would have gone downhill just like in December 2021.

Anyways we wouldn’t get any updates from her until February 11th when a weird account by the name of "私について読んでください#4082" sent me a friend request that had a pastebin link which at first didn’t work. But after it got edited to work, it was clear that banjo was again trying to apologise to us and get us back, but we declined it.

Then on April 2nd, Banjo would try to friend me again on her main account, this time with her about me page being "nick i only came to talk to you" which i was suspicious what was she going to talk about so this time i accepted it to see what she wanted to say and a day later, i got a response by her and again SHE WANTED TO APOLOGISE. sigh. So i told her that "it’s impossible to move on to another chapter of your life, if you keep re-reading the last one" and blocked her after that.

Things would finally go back to normal after she stopped trying to get us back, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the end. On June 9th 2023, Banjo again tried to get me to respond on Instagram by her saying that she can’t forget me and that when she sees a bulgarian person, it reminds her of me for some reason (like why?). But anyways, i didn’t bother responding to her so i ghosted her.

But then on July 3rd, i wanted to talk to Banjo for the last time, because she was mentioning our names and i wanted to put an end to this, by saying that she needs to keep our names out of her mouth.

She was like "ok, i will move on for real" on my dms, but in reality, the next day (4th of July), she says that we are ignorant like wtf and wanted to be racist by saying that she wants to be a bulgarianphobe and supporting Macedonia. She was saying such nasty things even after i told her to stop, but nothing help, same thing on August 20th (our next confrontation, this time in a gc), nothing helped.

Like imagine hating a WHOLE country only because your crush rejected you like wtaf💀.

And here we are on August 20th 2023. A day prior to that, she tried to befriend our friend and owner of Project Mobile "Gunbo" who actually accepted her friend request which prompted us to tell him to add us to a group with her so we could tell her to just leave us alone for the last time, but while she was like "I will try i will try" she once again was mentioning her drama with us and referred to us as "the nkits" so yeah, nothing helped.

And then here comes October 22nd, 2023 when a guy attacked servers Arsik was in with an exposé of him, in it banjo’s tried to expose our good friend Arsik for him acting sexually to banjo when in reality arsik was 11 and banjo was 13, and she even thought that arsik was 10. And also she purposely hid her name so that people wouldn’t hate her for erping with a 10 year old. So we fought back with our expose which people called "baby drama". And this is where i lost it. HOW CAN YOU CALL ALL OF THIS TRAUMA THAT WE HAD TO SUFFER BABY DRAMA??

Anyways before i go off more, i just want to say that this drama isnt baby drama. This is serious shit that people need into, by taking a look at our exposés against banjo and realise that this is all serious and we aren’t joking around, but sadly banjo didn’t get cancelled over our exposé and people were still supporting her, despite the expose that arsik made being already public, but no one gave a damn sadly. But here i am shining the light on the fact that banjo is an full-on creep who sexualises minors and hypnotises her friends into being on her side.

And now comes December 16th 2023. The day we joined the Java-oriented server "Kahvibreak". We wanted to join with my friend because we were interested in java preservation too, but we knew that banjo was there thought we joined nonetheless since it’s a good server. And hours later, banjo saw that we were in the server and she went "baiii my enemies are here" which made the people in kahvibreak become suspicious that we came to harass her, when in reality, we didn’t want to harass anyone. Soon after she left, she changed her Discord name to "JUST DESTROY ME.." to now "A....". (update: she has returned. no surprise)

So yeah this is the whole story of my own point of view of what is like to be friends with a creep and a nsfw artist. And to everyone who is reading this. It's best to avoid any interactions with Banjo because she is a manipulator and a creep that has been known by our community, but despite that she wanted to return after we told her to move on, but as of now she’s trying to join other corners of our community, never missing the opportunity to say something about us and how we cancelled her and whatnot. It's crazy that people like banjo exist and makes me furious that people call our drama childish. Like can you just take a quick second to see that this is very real and serious? Banjo traumatised us with her explicit art and it’s not a joke. Anyways, i hope we can spread this message across our community and her community so people could very well know her backstory and why they should not be friends with banjo.

Banjo is an attention seeker who would do anything to bring light to her dying career, including in some rather shady ways. She’s using her past for attention and it’s rather pathetic.

Anyways, im working on a folder called "Banjo's Hellhole" which includes all of her moments and once the project gets finished, i will provide a Google Drive link for it so you can guys get a better look at her. But for now, that's all that i have to say about her.

what i like:

i like the UI and it's not laggy. the fact every artwork has to be in a rounded square is eh but it's a bit difficult to showcase artwork of different resolutions so i understand why.

the customization is great and pretty easy to set up. and you don't really have to pay for it. i'd say it's a bit better than what dA had but obviously less robust than custom tumblr themes. it's easy to customize your profile but i worry that if this site goes out of beta they're not gonna have the server space to support customization for free users and we're gonna have a dA situation again. also i dont like the custom cursors because they make it hard to understand where i'm clicking and slow down the page.

i like the discoverability features. it's all in all similar to dA from the good old days.

i really like the button that toggles infinite scroll. idk why other websites don't do that.

what i dont like:

the weird ass feature that doesn't let you save artworks. i'm also a bit iffy on the nighshade/glaze promotion when you upload artworks just bc those are so resource demanding and don't really do anything. lets be real. not a HUGE deal but im worried what these kind of policies could mean for the future.

idk why but the header image in your profile has to be a really specific size to actually fit all the way. theres no 'resize to fill' for the header image...

style tags being locked behind a paywall. i get it, but still...

i wish it was easier to access your feed and i wish you saw the descriptions of artworks in your feed and could also comment from your feed.

i Really, Really want a feature to use arrow keys/buttons to cycle through someone's gallery/trending art/etc. like on dA. its really annoying to open 100000 pages just to like and comment on someones gallery.

I REALLY. want to be able to see the actual comments people leave on my art. and being able to reply to them from my inbox. once again its annoying to open 10000 tabs just to see what people commented/replied to me

theres a widget for your page that lets you showcase a single artwork from your gallery. i wish it was possible to actually click on it and go to that artwork instead of it being unclickable.

i wish the trending artworks didn't cycle when i hover over an artwork. things change too quickly and i end up misclicking or losing an artwork i wanted to see closer. which is annoying. it would be nice if it also had arrow buttons so i could cycle through artworks at my own pace. but thats whatever

Time after time after time after time i see the same arguement being made about reblogs and liking and requests and it always comes from "doing this thing gives me anxiety" and "doing that thing annoys me" and its like.......you have options here?

but i wrote a story using, Dream… as a character. Its a touchy subject in this community and im going to loose a lot of friends with it I have a feeling, i dont like dream as a creator and i dont fucking support him anymore and i dont want to support him. I was never a dream Stan or any of that, i never really enjoyed his content or anything but he plays a very important character in DSMP.. and that character just so happens to be an important character in an au I’ve had since 2021, i never felt good about any of it. And i caved today i wrote some stuff, posted it (with the encouragement of some irls) and im scared how people will react.. sorry its just dumb but maybe you can understand with Cough Syrup on Hiatus and all that. :(

the way i see it though like... you have had this au since 2021. and you're writing about c!dream like that character IN this au. that does not mean you support the creator dream at all, you're just exploring a fictional character in a setting that you yourself created. with CS like i've kind of come to terms with the fact that the dream i write in there is no indication of my opinion on dream the creator, i want to beat the shit out of the real guy but the actual character in the fic is fiction. im gonna make it clear on my fic notes that i do not like the real guy and writing the character doesn't negate that. does that make sense?

people have a right to not want to write c!dream in anything at all but people have the right to also keep writing their fanfictions, AU or canon compliant or something else, and including that character. and people do NOT have the right to harass over which decision someone makes in this undeniably nuanced scenario .

So I’ve decided to just bite the bullet and send this to you even though I still think it’s a bad idea, but ya know I figured I might as well send it even though I’ve only let one other person read my writing and it wasn’t even all my stuff. Also its unedited save for spellcheck probably crappy and I’ve honestly never written fanfiction before so… ya know and well here ya go…

A Sleepless Night (Edited to put under a cut for length (1.5k words))

Ever twisting, ever changing, nothing staying in place for too long, trying to sift through what was real and what wasn’t was like trying to find a coin in the murky silt at the bottom of a pond. Impossible. Truly and utterly impossible to find without some form of assistance, assistance that he never had or would never make it on time within the cold dark clutches of sleep but that wouldn’t stop him from trying. Every. Single. Time. and just like at the beginning and every time thereafter he failed, failed to stop them from being taken, failed to find them, failed to keep them safe and ultimately failed to save them. The look of fear, disappointment and disgust on their face every time he came within a hair’s breadth of saving them broke him a little more with each passing failure, though it was a dream and he knew it was a dream when his already twisted mind would always supplement their captor with a demon from his past. Still, it did nothing to lessen the hurt or soften the accusatory look in their eyes right before she sliced their throat, nor did it lessen the feeling of his heartbreaking every time he watched the life leave their eyes and their limp lifeless body falling to the ground. The sudden jolt of being violently ripped back to the waking world made his head spin, the low throbbing ache of a migraine behind his eyes had him pressing a hand to the bridge of his nose as he tried to subside it but did nothing, just like he thought. His body tensed, carmine eyes scanning the room looking for signs of a threat before his sleep-addled mind could catch up and distinguish between dream and reality. It took him a moment to figure out why. It was dark, and he was awake. Why was he awake? What had woken him up? The dreams, once they got ahold of him never let him go before morning if sleep actually managed to snare him in it’s cold, dark embrace. Darkness still cloaked the room though it seemed darker than normal, he looked out the window to find the moon was nowhere to be seen, it had been full before he’d accidentally fallen asleep but now it was pitch black. A flash from the outside lit up the room, a loud crack of thunder following almost immediately, his shoulders sagged in relief, both at having woken up and finding the cause of his awakening. A crippling combination of helplessness and sadness washed over him at the thought of why the thunder had woke him. Before he had met them he could sleep through almost anything, even Zenos shouting and pounding on his doors, breaking those doors down and storming up the stairs all while shouting to his room. Only when Zenos would place a hand on him would he jolt awake and thunder was no exception to this rule, not before he met them that is. One night a few months back a slight chill had awoken him from one of the few peaceful nights sleeps that he’s had in far too long to remember. Sitting up he found the covers gone and the bed empty, fear gripped his heart in an iron embrace when he realized that they weren’t in bed. A flash of lightning lit up the room confirming what he already knew, bed empty and them gone, had they finally grown sick of him and left? He wouldn’t blame them if they had, who would ever willingly stay with someone like him. A loud crack of thunder rumbled and a soft barely audible whimper had him springing off the bed and making his way around to their side, nearly tripping in the process. Before this moment he never knew his heart could feel the way it did, when he found them wrapped beneath the comforter, shaking, hands clutched over their ears as they quietly sobbed to themselves. Reaching out, he gently placed a hand on their shoulder, his heart felt like it was being ripped right out of his chest when they flinched looking up at him with wide and wet shimmering eyes, full of terror. He had never felt anything like what he was feeling right now, in this moment, a feeling unlike the normal cold, uncaring feeling that consumed his heart day in and day out, it hurt. Right down to his very soul along with a feeling of helplessness the likes of which he’d never felt before either, he’d felt helpless of course, but not in the way he felt right now. Another bright flash promptly followed by thunder had them flinching again, shaking even more than before and before he knew what he was doing, he was on the ground beside them, wrapping them in a tight embrace. He kept them in his arms until the storm passed and kept holding them even after it had gone. Kept holding them until they stopped crying and shaking. Kept holding them until they fell asleep and wouldn’t let them go until they awoke in the morning, all the while rubbing their back in hopes of soothing them even a little. Memories. Almost always painful, rarely pleasant. He shook his head trying to free himself from the memories and the last of sleeps embrace. The room was brighter now and he looked to the window. Damn, he thought to himself as he gazed at the full moon outside his window, “still night,” he mumbled to no one and flopped back down on the bed resting his arm over his face. Night, night always felt longer than the day, especially when lying alone in the darkness with nothing but thoughts to keep you occupied, he could reach over and flick on the lamp beside the bed but something always felt wrong trying to chase the away darkness of night with something so harsh and artificial. Lamplight was fine for the hours before bed but always felt wrong at this time of night… or would it be classified as morning now? He wasn’t sure, either way, it always felt wrong to use false light when most of the city was sound asleep. The peaceful sound of his sleeping dogs snoring beside the bed didn’t help much tonight and on any other night, the gentle snoring would be a welcome comfort and reminder that he wasn’t alone. The empty spot beside him was a glaring reminder that he was alone, that the horrors bestowed upon him by those few much needed but oh so unwanted minutes sleep were all too true. They were gone, just like the twisted dreamscape of his mind had shown him and as with the dream he was powerless. Powerless to protect them from a fate worse than death but he was determined to find them before his dreams could be made reality. Sighing he ran a hand down his face and swung his legs over the edge of his bed. He hadn’t meant to fall asleep, hell he only wanted to rest his eyes a moment but his body had different plans. Not eating or sleeping for the past few days would do that to anyone, more so when a person is running themselves ragged tearing the city apart. He got up off the bed and walked towards the door, nearly tripping on the forgotten pile pillows, blankets, clothes. Anything soft that also had his scent on it, they had made the nest out of his things when he was away on a mission. It had been late when he got back and found them sleeping in it, his dogs curled up tightly against either side of them, their wigging tails the only indication that they had heard him enter. He was already tired when he’d come home that night but his body decided that it was done right then and there, he motioned for the dog against their back to move and they did, waiting for him to get comfortable before turning in a circle and squishing against his back. He had fallen asleep with a soft smile on his face that night. A smile at being home and at how close they had gotten to his dogs since they had been absolutely terrified of them in the beginning. The next morning they had promised to take the nest apart and put things back where they got them from but he told them that so long as he got his clothing back the rest could stay. He sighed again, shaking away the memory, another one that hurt him more than he thought it should. When he patted his leg, both dogs sprung up and trotted to his side, together they walked down the stairs and headed for the kitchen despite not having an appetite. He would force himself to eat for them if he had to, keeping his strength up was the only way to guarantee he’d be able to kill every last one of the bastards who took his dragon from him. He wouldn’t only stop at just the grunts, oh no, anyone involved even remotely would have hell to pay and then some when he was done with them.

Hey guys, so I've been gone for quite some time now without saying anything about my leave. I've had a lot of personal stress to deal with and I still got some things to deal with but this blog is my only constant right now so I've decided to come back. Drabble Game! Chan

Prompt: 8 How do you tell someone you’re so deeply in love with them that your heart aches in a good way? 13 The truth comes out always 39 Those three words mean a lot more to me than you’d think, so don’t throw them around so casually.

Genre: fluff, angst, a bit of everything waiT NOT SMUT. best friend quadruple with you jisung chan and minho. not gender specific as per usual

“Jisung get your fucking shoes away from the fire!” Minho was screaming at Jisung every 5 seconds.

It wasn’t like he didn’t normally scream at Jisung this often but you guessed it was more noticeable because you were camping in the middle of nowhere, it should be tranquil. Nothing but soft conversations and the sounds of insects calling to each other should be heard but-

“They’re wet Minho! I’m fucking drying them!” 

You sighed. This was gonna be a long trip.

Chan spoke with Jisung and Minho in hushed tones as you rummaged through some bags by the car (”If you forgot the Marshmallows I swear to god”).

“One of you room with them!” Chan whispered harshly, staring incredulously at the boys.

“But you’re closer with them? Plus Minho has some tea to tell me, so I’m not switching.” Jisung straightens, tilting his chin up as Minho nods enthusiastically by his side.

“Oh come on, it’s just for sleeping! It’s two nights! You can talk shit during the day!”

“Exactly!” Minho stepped ahead of Jisung. “It’s just for sleeping and only two nights! Why’re you so against sharing a tent with them?”

Chan spluttered, caught in the act. “I-I don’t know! It’s just- I just, I- Ugh!”

“Just tell us! Oh god it’s not like we’ll tell them.” Jisung piped up, slumping his shoulders and letting out a huff.

“I can’t!”

“Don’t be a pussy, hyung.” Minho replied.

“I’m not-”

“You are!” From Jisung.

“Hey! Do-”

“Just tell us-!”

“I’m in love with them!”

Chan’s eyes widened and he frantically looked back to find you still rummaging through the abundance of bags in the boot of the car. 

“Finally, jesus, we thought you’d never tell us.” Jisung sighed, looking up at a Minho who wasn’t phased by Chan’s sudden confession at all.

“Well, Chan-hyung, isn’t that just more of a reason to room with them?” Minho let out a soft smirk, leaving Chan dumbfounded as he gripped Jisung’s bicep and pulled him towards where you were searching for the Marshmallows. 

Jisung whispered as he passed Chan, suddenly feeling immune to his superiority because of his power holding this secret.

“The truth comes out, always.”

Chan was fucked.

Australia was harsh, you learnt, as you explored with Jisung. Chan and Minho wanted to set up the tents themselves, saying you and Jisung would only distract them and accidentally ruin them. You had only been out of your small camp clearing for 10 minutes when you fell, chasing Jisung through the thick bush trying to find the billabong you knew was around here somewhere.

You yelped and hissed, falling down a steep 2 metre cliff. The instant sharp pains in your ankle and the blood trailing down your arm was enough to make you panic. Jisung decided to get the others for help once you immediately collapsed after reaching to get up on the small grassy ledge, the pain in your ankle becoming too much.

You estimated it was 20 minutes until Jisung and the other two found you again.

“Y/N?!” Chan immediately jumped down the small cliff, gripping your shoulders and checking for serious injuries. Your eyes were wet with tears of frustration as you let him haul you upwards and into his chest.

“Minho, Jisung, get ready to grab them okay?” Chan struggled as he lifted you by your hips, Minho and Jisung dragging you to the ledge, allowing Chan to simply push your legs to help you up more before planting his hands on the grassy surface, lodging his foot in the pale dirt of the cliff and throwing his torso over the top off it.

On the way back, you were on Chan’s back, Minho behind him steadying his every step and Jisung ahead, leading you all the the camp.

“I’m sorry.” You muttered, guilt eating away at you.

“You don’t need to be sorry Y/N, for the billionth time.” Chan sighed, hoisting you up further on his back as the clearing you inhabited came into sight. “Jisung shouldn’t have left you alone.”

“What? How else would I have gotten help?” Jisung said, dumping his backpack onto the ground next to a half finished tent.

“I don’t know, called for it maybe?” Chan huffed, and you buried you face into his shoulder, not wanting to be apart of this conversation. 

“I would’ve been yelling for ages before you or Minho heard me!” Jisung exclaimed, watching Chan carefully lower you down into a camping chair.

“Well losing your voice sure is better than leaving Y/N alone in the middle of the Australian bush in summer, might I add.” Chan didn’t look away from your ankle as he dragged another chair in front of you to prop it up onto.

“That’s bu-” Jisung was cut off by a done looking Minho.

“Cut it out, Y/N didn’t get eaten. Jisung, come and help me finish the last tent.”

Minho gripped Jisung’s wrist and dragged him off to the tents that were side by side, Jisung mumbling under his breath what you could only assume to be a string of profanity.

Chan sighed, walking over to the car to retrieve a small backpack off basic first aid supplies.

He crouched down in front of you, accidentally bumping the chair your ankle was resting on. You unknowingly let out a small wince.

“Sorry.” He muttered. You didn’t know if it was to you or not. You shook your head.

“You shouldn’t have yelled at Jisung you know.”

“I didn’t yell at him.” Chan grunted, digging his hand through the backpack only to pull out some disinfectant wipes from it.

“You know what I mean.” You sighed, he was still refusing to look up at you.

“He left you there. I can’t even count how many poisonous snakes there are there, not to mention freshwater crocodiles and- and spiders and literally every other deadly thing-”

“Chan, I’m fine. Nothing would’ve happened.”

“You don’t know that, I don’t either, neither does Jisung and-” He rubbed the wipe over your arm and left hand, cleaning the blood off of you.

“Chan!”

He looked up finally, his eyes vulnerable.

“I’m sorry. It’s just, I love you. I don’t want anything to hurt you.”

You’d be lying if you said your heart skipped a beat, if you said you hadn’t been wanting this for years. But your guards went up, he didn’t mean it like that anyway.

“Those three words mean a lot more to me than you’d think, so don’t throw them around so casually.” You sighed, grabbing the wet tissue from his hand. You continued to clean your arm under his gaze.

“Casually? What do you mean casually?” Chan’s eyebrows were furrowed, his heart painfully clenching.

“The way you said it, it was insincere.” You continued to scrub at the scrapes on your arm.

Chan sighed, tilting his head back to look at the almost dark sky.

“How do I say it sincerely, then?” 

“What?” You asked, flicking your eyes towards Chan.

“Tell me. How do you tell someone you’re so deeply in love with them that your heart aches in a good way? How?”

You choked on your breath, your heart beating faster than you think it ever has. Heat rising steadily to your cheeks and your stomach doing backflips.

“I-I dont-”

“Can I kiss you?” He says, finally meeting your eyes. Hope gleaming throughout them.

“I-You- But.” You breathed in deeply, this couldn’t be happening. “Yes, Chan. For gods sake, yes!”

im high key jealous of how tumblr famous you are bc i've been posting my calligraphy for years and get one or two likes at the most and you're amazing at it but i can't help but be bitter :(

i mean i transferred from my fandom blog, which when i started had like. 6k followers probably. and i do p much any request someone sends me. people are much more likely to reblog a thing they specifically requested than a thing that you like yourself tbh. In the last week I’ve done over 150 requests alone--it is about quality, but sometimes it’s just “can you do a massive quantity of asks at once.”

the calligraphy tag can be kinda dead on tumblr, so the trick is to do calligraphy where you can tag something else--with me i do a lot of femslash related things, like when i made the “let emma frost fuck jean grey” piece. there are some people reblogging that for aesthetic of my piece alone, but the main reason why it was successful was because you take what people like and enjoy, and make it into something that is relatively rare--there isnt that much calligraphy out in fandom, esp for a rarepair.

you can see that i use a liberal amount of tags--although don’t spam. and by that by all means if it applies to your post use that tag and as many as you can, but people are going to be Annoyed if they keep seeing ur work when they shouldnt. you don’t get popular by putting stuff in the calligraphy tag--include it definitely, bc that’s how other calligraphy blogs can reblog your things but it’s the other tags that make you popular and get the Extra notes.

also i often will get less than 10 notes on a post that i worked hard on, and the absolute worst thing is when the person who requested free art from me doesn’t even like it, let alone reblog it--like i assume that if you request it it would go along with your brand enough to go on your blog, which is you, but no i will often post requests without a single reblog, or maybe a reblog from one person and not the original asker.

There was a story i saw on here--about a professor who did an experiment about making pots. One half of the class was instructed to make one pot per day, and to make that pot the perfect pot. The other half of the class was told to just make as many as they could in a single period. At first, the one a day pots were the best, but the professor began noticing by the end the same thing in every class--the half that practiced a ton by making multiple pots started to have the best pots. The practice and experience from making so many pots over and over and over again was the best one--and that’s part of why I do requests, and why I do so many during the year.

I might not be the best calligrapher, but I can do a lot extremely fast and because I practice so much I don’t get tired easily. I also am p privileged financially, so I can have a bunch of pretty inks that people enjoy.

with social media, it’s not necessarily a comparison in art skill so much as “how good are you at navigating this type of social media” and i’m gonna be frank my talent are sub par at best--trust me, i’m not exaggerating or putting myself down I practiced like 2 types of font for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours and there are people just starting who require just a little bit more practice and they’ll be better than me. this is just practice--

but i do know fairly well how to navigate this hell site.

tl;dr i’m probably not a better calligrapher than you (i dont know who u are so nothing definitive) but I am probably better at social media
