to be perfectly honest, moon jinyoung would have been very happy to avoid all of the christmas festivities at the namdaemun market. it’s hard for him to feel very holly and jolly; this time of year usually just dredges up sour memories that he’d much rather leave in the past. if he’s being very honest, he might even say that he hates christmas. he’s too broke to feel the joy of giving, he’s not really at the top of anyone’s list as far as receiving gifts goes, and the religious part of the holiday? yeah, that’s not happening either. call him a grinch or whatever, but jinyoung just cannot manage to feel the christmas joy he’s heard so much about. and events like this market usually just make him a little sad, a little wistful for things that will never be. so, typically, he tries to stay away.

but... he’s never really been able to say no to youngha. 

he’s probably his best friend, definitely his longest lasting relationship, and jinyoung does have some sense of loyalty. admittedly, he still looks forward to hanging out with his old schoolmate. there’s just something about the other man’s presence that’s sort of calming to him. maybe it’s just sheer familiarity; years of knowing one another creating a bond that’s hard to find anywhere else. he trusts him with everything. plus, youngha said he needed to take pictures, and the leo rising in jinyoung’s chart just can’t pass up an opportunity to be in front of a camera.

“it’s freezing out here,” he really wishes his gloves would fit over the finger splint, but it just wasn’t happening. he tries to shove his hands in his coat pockets, searching for warmth anywhere he can find it, the injury aching all the more from the cold. “it’s the least you could do for me after nagging me to meet you by the tree. you know i don’t like christmas, jerk,” despite his very real complaints, jinyoung keeps it lighthearted, a grin on his face despite the tremble in his jaw, teeth very nearly chattering. if he ever gets rich, he swears he’s going to move somewhere that’s warm all the time. winter is the worst.

you wear katsuki’s clothes to bed.

among all your cotton and silk pajamas, you prefer the thinning fabric of his faded tees. there are holes in some of them, just a few more seams away from their undoing as they fit far too large on you—but that’s why you love them.

they’re comfy and worn; lived in with love from the man that you love. when katsuki is gone for days or weeks at a time, you find his warmth intertwined within the threads of his t-shirts. when the fabric presses against your back, the bed doesn’t feel nearly as empty as it is.

(though it can never replace him. nothing can, you fear.)

“hoggin’ all my shirts,” he tuts, but you know it means nothing. the roll of white fabric is neatly folded unto itself, its crisp corners unfurling once handed over.

you giggle, shaking off its folds and fitting the hem right over your head. from the corner of your eye, you see katsuki’s gaze, watching you wrangle the fabric over you as the towel wrapped around your body slowly drops to the floor.

he turns away then, a little too quickly, a little too abruptly. if you look at him now, you’re sure you’ll find flushed cheeks and crimson eyes burning in shame for wanting you so inopportunely.

“guess you’ll just have to take me with it then.”

Togame Jo’s greeting kisses to you are always way too long.

The kind of affection that’s usually savored in private, instead displayed wherever, whenever, and every single time you see each other—he always takes two to three minutes just to kiss you hello, abandoning the task at hand (dozing off, attending to Choji, managing the Shishitoren) to mosey your way and pull your lips to his in something just a little too sloppy to be sweet, but a little too sweet to be… too distasteful.

Everyone’s used to it by now, even Sakura, knowing that when you arrive, there’s always a going to be a pause in action just for the sappy display of Togame drooping over you and announcing you to the crowd physically.

(What’s not readily exposed, however, and especially not in a room full of men, is that it’s not just a kiss Togame’s giving you, not just a hello that he hides behind his long bangs and your cheeks between his warm hands, but the kindest stare and sweetest little whisper, “missed you, baby,” as he wraps you up in his arms.)

(fiddlestan only happens during the fiddlestan route. otherwise canon events stay the same and they barely actually interact with each other. in the fiddlestan route they work together in the 80s and grow old together)
