finally bucked up and talked to my dad for like 45 minutes about israel palestine and it was like talking to a fucking brick wall and i had to capitulate a LOT but i do feel like i may have made tiny tiny little inroads i dont know.

#he was very much like cognitive dissonancing Well you know i love peace and think it’s bad to kill civilians But theres no other way to #demolish the threat. and a LOT of historical stuff like camp david and geopolitical agreements blah blah blah #but i tried to just stay stong and be like. They could stop killing civilians right now it’s wrong to bomb people it’s wrong to take lives #etc etc. and told him to diversify his news and a few true verifiable anecdotes about propaganda #i didnt have an info sheet in front of me which idk might have helped but blah.#Maybe got him to like 90% zionism rather than 99%. prob not helpful #it prob did NOTHING and now my primary fear is hes gonna tell the rest of the family about it and im gonna have to field THEIR questions
